And, Michelle? 00:07:11.59\00:07:15.43 I'm currently serving as a community services director 00:07:15.46\00:07:17.90 for the Chippewa Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:07:17.93\00:07:20.24 Okay. 00:07:20.27\00:07:21.60 And the Lord inspired each of you to do something 00:07:21.64\00:07:23.20 that has now become a significant part 00:07:23.24\00:07:26.44 of the outreach of your church. 00:07:26.47\00:07:28.18 Let's talk about that, 00:07:28.21\00:07:29.54 you were watching a program on 3ABN 00:07:29.58\00:07:32.11 and just begin with that, 00:07:32.15\00:07:33.72 what the Lord did when he inspired you 00:07:33.75\00:07:36.92 to do something about what you saw on 3ABN. 00:07:36.95\00:07:40.69 We want to thank 3ABN because it's been a source 00:07:40.72\00:07:44.59 of real blessings and our own personal lives 00:07:44.63\00:07:47.80 and in the church lives. 00:07:47.83\00:07:49.46 And a few months ago, we saw a program 00:07:49.50\00:07:53.34 with Remnant Publications, 00:07:53.37\00:07:54.84 Amazing Facts, and 3ABN together, 00:07:54.87\00:07:58.37 which partnered in writing, 00:07:58.41\00:08:01.31 producing and advertising the book on the movie 00:08:01.34\00:08:04.28 that had come out a couple months ago, 00:08:04.31\00:08:05.98 Hacksaw Ridge. 00:08:06.01\00:08:07.35 Yes. 00:08:07.38\00:08:08.72 And when we turned off the TV 00:08:08.75\00:08:10.29 we realized it was just too good 00:08:10.32\00:08:12.02 an opportunity to pass by. 00:08:12.05\00:08:14.82 And so we just kind of like took it and ran with it, 00:08:14.86\00:08:19.93 and in the end God turned it into something greater 00:08:19.96\00:08:22.86 than we ever thought would happen. 00:08:22.90\00:08:24.23 Wow. 00:08:24.27\00:08:25.60 Well, tell us how you ran with it, 00:08:25.63\00:08:26.97 any one of you could input in that story, 00:08:27.00\00:08:28.40 how did you run with it and what did you actually do, 00:08:28.44\00:08:30.47 to just say we have to do something 00:08:30.51\00:08:31.84 and what actually, 00:08:31.87\00:08:33.21 how did you follow through on that? 00:08:33.24\00:08:35.28 Well, the first thing we did is, 00:08:35.31\00:08:36.64 we needed to get somebody else on board, 00:08:36.68\00:08:38.28 which is our good friends Kayla and Tim Hayes. 00:08:38.31\00:08:40.42 Okay. 00:08:40.45\00:08:41.78 And once we decided that 00:08:41.82\00:08:43.15 it was just something we needed to do, 00:08:43.18\00:08:45.79 I think we put in the order to run the publications 00:08:45.82\00:08:48.36 for couple of cases first. 00:08:48.39\00:08:50.09 And then we went to the local church and said, 00:08:50.13\00:08:53.33 maybe you're doing something here 00:08:53.36\00:08:54.76 and we should coordinate 00:08:54.80\00:08:56.13 between ourselves and the local church, 00:08:56.16\00:08:58.53 and they were just totally 100% on board, 00:08:58.57\00:09:01.44 the elders and pastor were just fabulous. 00:09:01.47\00:09:04.47 And in the meantime, 00:09:04.51\00:09:06.21 our friend Kayla had an acquaintance 00:09:06.24\00:09:09.84 with the owners of a local theatre. 00:09:09.88\00:09:13.45 And she set up an appointment 00:09:13.48\00:09:15.02 for Orv and I to go and meet them 00:09:15.05\00:09:16.62 and they just welcomed us with open arms. 00:09:16.65\00:09:18.59 Just loving people. 00:09:18.62\00:09:20.32 And so it just developed into a project that it went on 00:09:20.36\00:09:23.12 for almost three months between their venue in one town 00:09:23.16\00:09:26.59 and then the neighboring town which Michelle took care of. 00:09:26.63\00:09:28.66 Okay. 00:09:28.70\00:09:30.03 So that's it in a nutshell and I can give you 00:09:30.07\00:09:31.40 a lot more wonderful details here too. 00:09:31.43\00:09:33.27 Sure, let me let Michelle go ahead 00:09:33.30\00:09:34.64 and chiming on that. 00:09:34.67\00:09:36.00 Tell us about your involvement in that? 00:09:36.04\00:09:37.71 Well, I got involved after they presented it 00:09:37.74\00:09:39.71 to the church and I asked for involvement and I just, 00:09:39.74\00:09:42.58 I loved the idea because 00:09:42.61\00:09:44.01 they were tying into something current 00:09:44.05\00:09:46.11 and that people in the community 00:09:46.15\00:09:48.38 because I think sometimes 00:09:48.42\00:09:49.75 we're too isolated within the church. 00:09:49.78\00:09:51.75 And so I signed up to help pass out books 00:09:51.79\00:09:55.42 for a couple of different nights. 00:09:55.46\00:09:56.93 And then when it came to the second venue, 00:09:56.96\00:09:59.03 which happened to be a half a mile from my house, 00:09:59.06\00:10:02.00 then I took charge of the second venue. 00:10:02.03\00:10:04.80 Now do they let you set up inside the theater, 00:10:04.83\00:10:07.34 outside the theatre or just pass out books 00:10:07.37\00:10:09.07 when people went in or came out? 00:10:09.10\00:10:10.51 Would you like to look at the pictures now 00:10:10.54\00:10:11.97 and you prefer to see that? 00:10:12.01\00:10:13.34 Oh, sure, let's look at that. 00:10:13.38\00:10:14.71 Well, the first picture... Some Hacksaw Ridge. 00:10:14.74\00:10:16.08 Yeah, the first picture that we have is, 00:10:16.11\00:10:18.48 there is our friend Kayla Hayes on the left, 00:10:18.51\00:10:20.62 and Kayla was the other person that actually spearheaded this, 00:10:20.65\00:10:24.82 and that was a picture of how they set up at one point 00:10:24.85\00:10:28.72 in the theater itself. 00:10:28.76\00:10:32.43 The owners were just absolutely, 00:10:32.46\00:10:34.70 they were wonderful, they are just so sweet. 00:10:34.73\00:10:38.23 They had like about 00:10:38.27\00:10:39.60 eight little different movie theaters in there, 00:10:39.63\00:10:42.04 you know, so like we set the table upright 00:10:42.07\00:10:44.94 where the people exited the movie, Hacksaw Ridge. 00:10:44.97\00:10:47.68 Okay. 00:10:47.71\00:10:49.04 And so like as they came out the movie that's what they saw, 00:10:49.08\00:10:52.01 they saw a display of books. 00:10:52.05\00:10:53.48 And I'll show you the second picture now. 00:10:53.52\00:10:55.42 The second picture is where we moved our table to 00:10:55.45\00:10:57.89 and those are a couple of folks that handed out the books. 00:10:57.92\00:11:02.52 And then let's show the third picture now. 00:11:02.56\00:11:05.66 And okay, there's Orv and myself 00:11:05.69\00:11:09.06 and it was the holiday season for part of the program. 00:11:09.10\00:11:12.77 Okay, I see that. 00:11:12.80\00:11:14.14 And you can see the holiday decor there 00:11:14.17\00:11:16.54 and if you can look up, you know, 00:11:16.57\00:11:18.51 on the posters there we actually, 00:11:18.54\00:11:21.51 this actually turned into a fundraising. 00:11:21.54\00:11:23.85 Yeah. 00:11:23.88\00:11:25.21 But that was the idea of the owners, the owners said, 00:11:25.25\00:11:28.98 "Well, you know, sure you can give off the books 00:11:29.02\00:11:32.12 and you can..." 00:11:32.15\00:11:33.49 they thought we were going to sell them. 00:11:33.52\00:11:35.22 And their suggestion is, 00:11:35.26\00:11:36.76 "Well, let's maybe give a dollar of each book 00:11:36.79\00:11:38.89 and we'll give it to a charity." 00:11:38.93\00:11:40.30 And we said... 00:11:40.33\00:11:41.66 No, no, it doesn't manner, we're gonna give them away. 00:11:41.70\00:11:43.90 Yeah, we're gonna give them away 00:11:43.93\00:11:45.63 and then we selected a charity 00:11:45.67\00:11:47.67 and the charity was selected was... 00:11:47.70\00:11:50.24 The homeless veterans fund, 00:11:50.27\00:11:51.61 which is a facility they have in Chippewa Falls. 00:11:51.64\00:11:53.98 Okay. 00:11:54.01\00:11:55.34 And lots of people don't know about that. 00:11:55.38\00:11:57.25 So the owner decided to, hey, just why don't you 00:11:57.28\00:11:59.55 make this a bigger project than you've anticipated. 00:11:59.58\00:12:02.22 More than we imagined. 00:12:02.25\00:12:03.75 Yeah, she is very, very community orientated. 00:12:03.79\00:12:06.82 Yes. 00:12:06.86\00:12:08.19 And we wanted to be part of that, 00:12:08.22\00:12:09.56 we just kind of surprise that she says, 00:12:09.59\00:12:10.93 "Would you like to raise, you know, some money." 00:12:10.96\00:12:13.26 And we kind of like, "Oh, yeah, it's a good idea. 00:12:13.29\00:12:16.13 Let's do that." How much did we raise? 00:12:16.16\00:12:18.23 Thirty seven hundred dollars. 00:12:18.27\00:12:19.83 Thirty seven hundred dollars? Yeah. 00:12:19.87\00:12:21.30 Praise the Lord. You took the checks out there. 00:12:21.34\00:12:24.17 And I took the check out there and I met that man 00:12:24.21\00:12:27.38 who runs the homeless shelter. 00:12:27.41\00:12:30.75 And he was really happy and he said, 00:12:30.78\00:12:33.25 "I hope we'll see you soon." 00:12:33.28\00:12:34.78 Yes. 00:12:34.82\00:12:36.58 So we've been back since. Okay. 00:12:36.62\00:12:39.32 And, Michelle, talk about your involvement 00:12:39.35\00:12:41.06 because this kind of open the door for you 00:12:41.09\00:12:42.82 to just kind of expand your involvement 00:12:42.86\00:12:45.39 in the church and in the community, 00:12:45.43\00:12:46.80 talk about that? 00:12:46.83\00:12:48.16 Well, I think it was again a good tie in 00:12:48.20\00:12:50.03 with the veteran shelter and the movie where, you know, 00:12:50.07\00:12:52.43 it was such a good connection between the two. 00:12:52.47\00:12:55.30 And in handing out the books it was... 00:12:55.34\00:12:59.71 I'm not a person who can evangelize, I can't, 00:12:59.74\00:13:02.31 I'm not really good at public speaking. 00:13:02.34\00:13:04.41 But, and I think that was for 00:13:04.45\00:13:06.72 some of the other volunteers as well 00:13:06.75\00:13:08.65 because you just had to give somebody something 00:13:08.68\00:13:10.65 and then, you know, we were taking donations 00:13:10.69\00:13:13.12 and that's a lot easier than... 00:13:13.15\00:13:15.22 Preaching a sermon. 00:13:15.26\00:13:16.59 Right, you know, and then... Exactly. 00:13:16.62\00:13:18.86 And so even the first night that I went to hand out a book. 00:13:18.89\00:13:24.00 The first person to come out of theater 00:13:24.03\00:13:25.43 that I was able to give a book to was a colleague 00:13:25.47\00:13:28.47 that I had worked with many years before 00:13:28.50\00:13:30.04 and he used to make comments about Bible thumpers. 00:13:30.07\00:13:33.04 And he was the first person I was able to hand the book to. 00:13:33.07\00:13:35.84 So... Was he surprised? 00:13:35.88\00:13:37.28 Yeah, he was very surprised. 00:13:37.31\00:13:39.08 He said, Michelle, what are you doing? 00:13:39.11\00:13:40.45 He took, you know, and he took the book. 00:13:40.48\00:13:42.45 And, you know, so it was those kind of things 00:13:42.48\00:13:44.75 and when we were 00:13:44.79\00:13:46.12 at the Chippewa location every night that I was there, 00:13:46.15\00:13:49.16 I saw somebody I knew that I can hand a book too. 00:13:49.19\00:13:52.59 So it was really kind of incredible. 00:13:52.63\00:13:55.06 So it's building bridges to the community. 00:13:55.10\00:13:57.10 A lot of times, we try to do what we can to get people 00:13:57.13\00:13:59.70 to come to our church but, you know, 00:13:59.73\00:14:01.24 you've mentioned something 00:14:01.27\00:14:02.60 which has become a part of 3ABN's mission, 00:14:02.64\00:14:05.21 the blessing is on the... 00:14:05.24\00:14:06.57 The go. On the go. 00:14:06.61\00:14:07.94 Go and get to work. Exactly. 00:14:07.98\00:14:09.31 Yes. 00:14:09.34\00:14:10.68 And that has been a tremendous blessing 00:14:10.71\00:14:12.31 to the ministry of 3ABN, 00:14:12.35\00:14:13.68 and if you've been a part of that, 00:14:13.72\00:14:15.05 you know, that the blessings on the go, 00:14:15.08\00:14:17.02 go evangelism 'cause it's not come evangelism 00:14:17.05\00:14:20.59 but a go evangelism. 00:14:20.62\00:14:21.96 Come to the foot of the cross as Danny would say... 00:14:21.99\00:14:23.63 Amen. And to go and share the gospel. 00:14:23.66\00:14:26.33 And it's not that difficult. 00:14:26.36\00:14:27.93 I mean, the book that we're talking about here 00:14:27.96\00:14:29.73 is the Hacksaw Ridge book which many of you 00:14:29.76\00:14:32.13 may have seen through the programs done 00:14:32.17\00:14:33.60 here on 3ABN, there's a copy of it. 00:14:33.64\00:14:35.47 Wonderful. 00:14:35.50\00:14:36.84 And the postscript is written by Pastor Doug Batchelor, 00:14:36.87\00:14:41.38 which a lot of people don't realize 00:14:41.41\00:14:43.65 just through this book, 00:14:43.68\00:14:45.01 it not only tells a story of Desmond Doss 00:14:45.05\00:14:49.55 but it also exposes people to the God he served 00:14:49.58\00:14:54.26 to the church he was a member of. 00:14:54.29\00:14:56.66 And then it just opens doors for people 00:14:56.69\00:14:58.33 to understand a message 00:14:58.36\00:14:59.69 that they would not otherwise even entertain. 00:14:59.73\00:15:01.53 I mean, how many evangelistic series 00:15:01.56\00:15:03.80 have been held in the movie theater? 00:15:03.83\00:15:05.67 None. 00:15:05.70\00:15:08.10 But this allowed you to do that. 00:15:08.14\00:15:09.47 It was incredible. 00:15:09.50\00:15:11.07 Can you imagine, I'm not a big movie gore 00:15:11.11\00:15:14.44 and but yet, you would walk in there 00:15:14.48\00:15:18.31 and you'd see people walking around 00:15:18.35\00:15:20.32 inside a movie theater, coming out of movies 00:15:20.35\00:15:22.65 and they were holding evangelistic literature 00:15:22.68\00:15:26.52 in their hand and it was like, 00:15:26.55\00:15:27.89 it was just such a strange sight. 00:15:27.92\00:15:29.69 It was beautiful. 00:15:29.72\00:15:31.06 We gave out 1,381 books at both venues. 00:15:31.09\00:15:34.23 Yeah. Wow. 00:15:34.26\00:15:35.60 We were there for 55 nights total. 00:15:35.63\00:15:38.63 And we had 36 men, women, and children participate 00:15:38.67\00:15:42.44 and there were kids there. 00:15:42.47\00:15:43.81 Yep, there were kids. 00:15:43.84\00:15:45.17 And these are people that won't necessarily 00:15:45.21\00:15:47.14 have wanted to do something except it was so easy, 00:15:47.18\00:15:50.55 we made it so easy. 00:15:50.58\00:15:52.21 Who is not going to resist saying, like, 00:15:52.25\00:15:53.95 "Here we have, we have a free book about 00:15:53.98\00:15:55.98 the hero of Hacksaw Ridge," 00:15:56.02\00:15:57.35 and by the way if you'd like to donate 00:15:57.39\00:15:58.79 to the Chippewa Falls homeless veteran shelter you can. 00:15:58.82\00:16:01.52 We got people in the movie theater 00:16:01.56\00:16:03.09 put in $100 bills, $50 bills, $20 bills. 00:16:03.12\00:16:06.46 Yeah. 00:16:06.49\00:16:07.83 It was just, it was such a, it was so wonderful 00:16:07.86\00:16:11.90 to give people the opportunity to show their appreciation. 00:16:11.93\00:16:17.21 They came out of the movie, 00:16:17.24\00:16:19.64 there is a certain set of thoughts on their mind 00:16:19.67\00:16:22.54 and they were able to respond to it 00:16:22.58\00:16:24.28 by donating to homeless veterans. 00:16:24.31\00:16:26.18 They even gave out these little pins here, see that. 00:16:26.21\00:16:28.58 Yes, yes, I like that as well. 00:16:28.62\00:16:30.15 They were actually sent from the... 00:16:30.19\00:16:31.52 Thank you for supporting. 00:16:31.55\00:16:32.89 Says thank you for supporting film 00:16:32.92\00:16:34.26 and celebrating Veterans Day. 00:16:34.29\00:16:35.62 Yeah. Oh, yes. 00:17:22.14\00:17:23.47 This is the best one. 00:17:23.51\00:17:24.84 Okay. Okay. 00:17:24.87\00:17:26.21 Now this one has quite a story to it 00:17:26.24\00:17:27.58 because there's, how many cases did we have? 00:17:27.61\00:17:30.38 I can't remember... Fourteen. 00:17:30.41\00:17:31.75 Fourteen cases of books. 00:17:31.78\00:17:33.11 They kept the boxes because it was just 00:17:33.15\00:17:35.28 so impressive seeing them outside our door. 00:17:35.32\00:17:37.75 And then we'd have another box of books come in we think, 00:17:37.79\00:17:40.26 "Oh, where now we're gonna get these all." 00:17:40.29\00:17:41.66 I love this picture. 00:17:41.69\00:17:43.02 And so those are the folks. 00:17:43.06\00:17:45.96 We told everybody to get in the picture 00:17:45.99\00:17:47.90 if they passed out books, 00:17:47.93\00:17:49.60 wanted to passed out books, pray for us... 00:17:49.63\00:17:51.43 Pray for the Lord. 00:17:51.47\00:17:52.80 Or we're happy we passed out books. 00:17:52.83\00:17:54.17 So pastor had us take, Pastor Predeve Vince in there. 00:17:54.20\00:17:56.00 Okay. 00:17:56.04\00:17:57.37 He had us take a picture at the end of the church. 00:17:57.41\00:18:00.74 And, you know, this is really interesting, 00:18:00.78\00:18:02.54 Pastor Lomacang, 00:18:02.58\00:18:03.91 because if you look at that picture again, 00:18:03.95\00:18:05.91 look at those big signs, okay. 00:18:05.95\00:18:08.02 Okay, let's see that one more time. 00:18:08.05\00:18:09.38 Okay, it says, 3181 raised to that point, 00:18:09.42\00:18:11.75 did run up as Michelle took it to the next venue. 00:18:11.79\00:18:14.66 And it was only 1,162 books and then it went up 00:18:14.69\00:18:18.33 as Michelle worked on it. 00:18:18.36\00:18:19.96 And, you know, I just, I thought, 00:18:20.00\00:18:21.86 want to be fun to make a little sign like that. 00:18:21.90\00:18:24.23 And so you have a concept in your mind and you think, 00:18:24.27\00:18:27.44 I was thinking a little sheet about so big, you know, 00:18:27.47\00:18:30.04 how they do on Facebook, "Can I get an amen?" 00:18:30.07\00:18:32.94 And so I said, "Kayla, could you do that?" 00:18:32.97\00:18:36.61 And Kayla made these absolutely gorgeous signs 00:18:36.64\00:18:39.11 that she painted. 00:18:39.15\00:18:40.48 She was the other person 00:18:40.52\00:18:41.85 that really worked on this with, 00:18:41.88\00:18:43.22 you know, to get the things going and organized. 00:18:43.25\00:18:45.39 And it's just a thought in my mind that, like, 00:18:45.42\00:18:48.09 you know, you have an idea in your mind 00:18:48.12\00:18:49.79 but you pass it on to somebody else. 00:18:49.82\00:18:51.99 And, you know, because of them and their talents 00:18:52.03\00:18:55.50 and their attitude and their vision, 00:18:55.53\00:18:58.20 it turns into something much better 00:18:58.23\00:18:59.83 than you ever could have imagined yourself. 00:18:59.87\00:19:01.54 Yeah. 00:19:01.57\00:19:02.90 And I think that's the wonderful part 00:19:02.94\00:19:04.57 of getting a church to work together 00:19:04.61\00:19:07.34 because you don't know the talent, and the skills, 00:19:07.38\00:19:11.15 and the ideas that they have and that the Holy Spirit 00:19:11.18\00:19:14.12 just gonna give them until you see it. 00:19:14.15\00:19:15.68 And I looked at those signs and I went, "Those are wow. 00:19:15.72\00:19:18.49 Those are really nice." 00:19:18.52\00:19:19.85 My favorite sign is, "Can we get an amen?" 00:19:19.89\00:19:21.49 Yeah, amen. 00:19:21.52\00:19:23.12 Pastors love that, "Can I get an amen?" 00:19:23.16\00:19:24.53 Yeah. 00:19:24.56\00:19:25.89 But that was amazing but you said 00:19:25.93\00:19:28.33 it number of times, Michelle took it to next level. 00:19:28.36\00:19:31.53 Talk about that? Yes, yes. 00:19:31.57\00:19:32.90 Well, I don't know, 00:19:32.93\00:19:35.67 the theater owners have two theaters, 00:19:35.70\00:19:37.91 one in Chippewa Falls and one in Eau Claire. 00:19:37.94\00:19:39.61 And so when it came time to come in it, 00:19:39.64\00:19:42.94 the one in Eau Claire's like 00:19:42.98\00:19:44.31 the second run theater that it comes to. 00:19:44.35\00:19:45.95 So when it finished and again it was half a mile 00:19:45.98\00:19:48.68 from my house, so I figured, you know, 00:19:48.72\00:19:50.29 I might as well take it from these guys, 00:19:50.32\00:19:53.32 so they didn't have to run all the way down there. 00:19:53.36\00:19:54.99 And so I spent a lot of nights down there 00:19:55.02\00:19:58.93 with some of our church members as well 00:19:58.96\00:20:00.96 and some of the nights I was down there alone. 00:20:01.00\00:20:03.00 And just reaching out to people at the second run theater 00:20:03.03\00:20:07.04 and we had a really good response. 00:20:07.07\00:20:10.57 There were a couple of times a person would take the book, 00:20:10.61\00:20:14.84 you know, if they got there early, 00:20:14.88\00:20:16.21 maybe get their popcorn, they take the book 00:20:16.24\00:20:18.21 and go into the theater and they'd come back 00:20:18.25\00:20:20.58 five or ten minutes later and say, 00:20:20.62\00:20:22.18 "Why are you doing this?" 00:20:22.22\00:20:24.29 And, you know, so I was able to explain to them 00:20:24.32\00:20:26.42 the story of Desmond Doss 00:20:26.45\00:20:27.79 and his affiliation with our church 00:20:27.82\00:20:30.09 and we just thought it was a good story 00:20:30.13\00:20:31.69 to share with people. 00:20:31.73\00:20:33.06 So, you know, it was really a good experience. 00:20:33.09\00:20:38.00 What about the transformation that you experienced, 00:20:38.03\00:20:42.40 because as you mentioned, you don't strike me 00:20:42.44\00:20:44.41 as a type A stand on top of the box preacher... 00:20:44.44\00:20:48.88 No, not really. 00:20:48.91\00:20:50.25 Repent, the world is coming to an end. 00:20:50.28\00:20:51.61 You know, you don't strike to me 00:20:51.65\00:20:52.98 as that kind of an individual 00:20:53.01\00:20:54.35 but I could see the transformation, 00:20:54.38\00:20:55.98 not know you before I could see 00:20:56.02\00:20:57.35 that this really did impact you in a beautiful way. 00:20:57.39\00:20:59.22 It really did. 00:20:59.25\00:21:00.59 You know, my primary focus is community service where, 00:21:00.62\00:21:03.29 you know, we're simply serving people without, 00:21:03.32\00:21:06.90 you know, evangelizing or, you know, 00:21:06.93\00:21:08.76 which I think are both very important 00:21:08.80\00:21:10.87 but they have separate roles. 00:21:10.90\00:21:12.23 And so service has always been kind of my focus, 00:21:12.27\00:21:15.20 but again the way this project tied the two together 00:21:15.24\00:21:18.87 and it wasn't really threatening 00:21:18.91\00:21:21.84 even for someone like me 00:21:21.88\00:21:23.21 who tends to be a little more introverted to go in 00:21:23.24\00:21:26.72 and just say, "Hey, we've got this book 00:21:26.75\00:21:28.35 and that's a great story." 00:21:28.38\00:21:30.19 And so it really was, yeah, it was transforming 00:21:30.22\00:21:33.46 I think for a few other people within the church as well, 00:21:33.49\00:21:35.42 who stepped up to hand out the books 00:21:35.46\00:21:37.23 and maybe thought 00:21:37.26\00:21:38.59 that they couldn't do something like this 00:21:38.63\00:21:39.96 but we're really good at it. 00:21:40.00\00:21:41.33 You know, you meet people at an intersection of the life. 00:21:41.36\00:21:43.43 Amen. 00:21:43.47\00:21:44.80 Coming and going and you never know 00:21:44.83\00:21:46.17 if you're gonna see them again, but at least you've increased 00:21:46.20\00:21:48.30 the possibilities of seeing them again, 00:21:48.34\00:21:50.64 because you can't just read the book 00:21:50.67\00:21:52.54 without going to the end and talk about the faith 00:21:52.57\00:21:57.35 that shaped the man, I love that. 00:21:57.38\00:21:59.88 There's a section called prepare to meet your maker 00:21:59.91\00:22:02.48 and it talks about the ultimate sacrifice, 00:22:02.52\00:22:06.12 wonderful Bible studies in the section, 00:22:06.15\00:22:08.82 the faith that shaped the man. 00:22:08.86\00:22:10.46 And significant studies are included in there 00:22:10.49\00:22:13.33 to help people understand, 00:22:13.36\00:22:14.70 why Desmond Doss was so passionately convinced that, 00:22:14.73\00:22:20.84 I am not going to carry a weapon, 00:22:20.87\00:22:22.54 I am not gonna carry a weapon, 00:22:22.57\00:22:24.21 I don't believe I need to carry one, 00:22:24.24\00:22:25.64 I don't want to take lives, I want to preserve the lives, 00:22:25.67\00:22:28.58 I want to spear lives. 00:22:28.61\00:22:30.21 But you've been the quiet man out today, 00:22:30.25\00:22:32.85 tell us about your involvement in this, Orv? 00:22:32.88\00:22:35.52 What really was exciting was when people would come back 00:22:35.55\00:22:41.86 the second time, third time 00:22:41.89\00:22:43.36 and see us and thank us for doing this. 00:22:43.39\00:22:46.46 Yeah. Wow. 00:22:46.49\00:22:47.83 What a blessing! 00:22:47.86\00:22:49.20 And come and ask for more books. 00:22:49.23\00:22:50.57 Then come and ask for more books, yeah. 00:22:50.60\00:22:51.93 Right. And give more money. 00:22:51.97\00:22:53.30 Yes. 00:22:53.34\00:22:54.67 I got to the point where you didn't have to really ask, 00:22:54.70\00:22:57.47 they see, they've seen the... 00:22:57.51\00:22:59.27 There is a big purple donation box 00:22:59.31\00:23:03.85 and they would just reach out and they used to put it in 00:23:03.88\00:23:06.58 like Marcia was saying, 00:23:06.61\00:23:07.95 we got people give $100 bill, $50 bill. 00:23:07.98\00:23:10.19 Yeah. 00:23:10.22\00:23:11.55 And when people would come back... 00:23:11.59\00:23:15.76 I know to come back and... 00:23:15.79\00:23:17.43 And thank us for doing this. Yes. 00:23:17.46\00:23:19.59 And come over to our house and get more books. 00:23:19.63\00:23:20.96 Like get more books, yeah. Get people come to your house. 00:23:21.00\00:23:23.97 Or call us up, call us up. 00:23:24.00\00:23:25.90 Anyway, one man calls up and he said, 00:23:25.93\00:23:28.07 he hadn't seen the movie but he would like the book. 00:23:28.10\00:23:29.70 Yeah. 00:23:29.74\00:23:31.07 You know, and he wanted two of them. 00:23:31.11\00:23:35.04 I can't remember which one it was 00:23:35.08\00:23:36.41 but one night we had just one person come. 00:23:36.44\00:23:39.05 Yes, yes. 00:23:39.08\00:23:40.42 One person but they brought their whole family. 00:23:40.45\00:23:42.05 Wow. 00:23:42.08\00:23:43.42 And it looked like they were homeschoolers. 00:23:43.45\00:23:45.19 Yes. 00:23:45.22\00:23:46.55 And this is now just one book all we need. 00:23:46.59\00:23:48.09 Yes. 00:23:48.12\00:23:49.46 And that's all we give away that night. 00:23:49.49\00:23:50.83 Wow. 00:23:50.86\00:23:52.19 And the reason there is only one, 00:23:52.23\00:23:53.60 there is a very low attendances 00:23:53.63\00:23:54.96 because it was probably during like 00:23:55.00\00:23:56.70 about ten degrees above snowstorm. 00:23:56.73\00:23:59.13 Yeah, it's cold there. And I got to thank my... 00:23:59.17\00:24:01.44 That will explain something. 00:24:01.47\00:24:02.80 I have to thank my husband because, you know, 00:24:02.84\00:24:04.47 it's like, we had a lot of people work 00:24:04.51\00:24:07.58 but as the weather got colder and the snow, you know, 00:24:07.61\00:24:11.18 the weather changed, you know, the season's changed. 00:24:11.21\00:24:15.15 And because of that, you know, 00:24:15.18\00:24:18.99 it was a lot easier for us to go over to the theater 00:24:19.02\00:24:21.66 'cause we were very close, 00:24:21.69\00:24:23.53 whereas other people had to drive maybe 15, 20 miles. 00:24:23.56\00:24:26.43 And so we just kept going back and back and back 00:24:26.46\00:24:31.07 and at the point, one point I just said, 00:24:31.10\00:24:33.03 I just I'm tired of going back 00:24:33.07\00:24:34.87 because we'd have to go late at night 00:24:34.90\00:24:36.50 because where there were only, 00:24:36.54\00:24:37.87 they were down to like one showing a day. 00:24:37.91\00:24:40.34 Okay. 00:24:40.38\00:24:41.71 You know, as the movie progressed through 00:24:41.74\00:24:43.08 its run and it would be a late showing. 00:24:43.11\00:24:45.11 So at 8:15 at night in the cold, dark weather. 00:24:45.15\00:24:48.38 I would say, "Honey, come on, let's go." 00:24:48.42\00:24:49.82 Yes, I would say, "I don't want to go." 00:24:49.85\00:24:51.29 And he said, "Let's do it." 00:24:51.32\00:24:52.65 And we went and we come back just absolutely heaven above 00:24:52.69\00:24:55.22 because we were so happy that we did it. 00:24:55.26\00:24:56.59 I mean Wisconsin in the wintertime, really. 00:24:56.62\00:24:58.63 It's winter. I know 10 above. 00:24:58.66\00:25:00.40 Yes. 00:25:00.43\00:25:01.76 It just reminded me of the thrill, 00:25:01.80\00:25:03.87 the thrill of the chill. 00:25:03.90\00:25:05.37 Yeah, so you can check it out there. 00:25:05.40\00:25:08.30 But it did make an impact on you 00:25:08.34\00:25:11.34 because and the thing about it is 00:25:11.37\00:25:13.91 as you've seen there are, there are points in life 00:25:13.94\00:25:17.91 where the Lord gives us the privilege as a people 00:25:17.95\00:25:21.05 to just be a part of something great. 00:25:21.08\00:25:22.92 Amen. 00:25:22.95\00:25:24.29 And something transformative which was the case here, 00:25:24.32\00:25:28.09 we had thousands of books given out here, 00:25:28.12\00:25:30.23 I'm sure the people in Florida probably were out 00:25:30.26\00:25:32.33 and maybe a large numbers, 00:25:32.36\00:25:33.70 you don't have to worry about weather. 00:25:33.73\00:25:35.06 Yeah. 00:25:35.10\00:25:36.43 And the different parts of the nation 00:25:36.46\00:25:37.80 that were involved in this and this was a nation, 00:25:37.83\00:25:39.17 this is a coast to coast involvement. 00:25:39.20\00:25:42.07 When Remnant talked about the number of books 00:25:42.10\00:25:44.44 that were produced and the people 00:25:44.47\00:25:45.97 that called in for books. 00:25:46.01\00:25:49.01 And these are lives, just to put this, 00:25:49.04\00:25:51.61 there are people you met that when you get to the kingdom, 00:25:51.65\00:25:56.38 they might say, remember me, it was like only ten above 00:25:56.42\00:26:00.39 and our whole family was there... 00:26:00.42\00:26:01.76 Yes. 00:26:01.79\00:26:03.12 Would that be, would that be an occasion to just praise God. 00:26:03.16\00:26:06.09 Well worth it. Well worth it. 00:26:06.13\00:26:08.13 So the blessing is on...? 00:26:08.16\00:26:09.50 The go. Blessing is on the go. 00:26:09.53\00:26:10.90 Go and get to work. Go and get to work. 00:26:10.93\00:26:14.04 And 3ABN is also... 00:26:14.07\00:26:15.40 I'm gonna go back to your story in just a moment 00:26:15.44\00:26:16.91 because you took this to another level 00:26:16.94\00:26:18.61 and you got involved, 00:26:18.64\00:26:20.18 you brought some pictures to talk about 00:26:20.21\00:26:21.54 some other community outreach is that were inspiring to you. 00:26:21.58\00:26:25.18 Yeah. 00:26:25.21\00:26:26.55 I'm gonna give you the time to talk about that. 00:26:26.58\00:26:28.05 I was asked to be community services director last year 00:26:28.08\00:26:30.99 and I had done it many years ago 00:26:31.02\00:26:32.95 and kind of backed out of it 00:26:32.99\00:26:35.29 for a while, for a lot of reasons. 00:26:35.32\00:26:37.23 But I just came into it with a different focus 00:26:37.26\00:26:40.63 and I think being more in the community kind of thing, 00:26:40.66\00:26:45.73 and I'm looking for ways 00:26:45.77\00:26:47.27 that we can both help church members be inspired 00:26:47.30\00:26:52.31 and also to help actually 00:26:52.34\00:26:54.34 provide something that's needed. 00:26:54.38\00:26:55.98 And I think another turning point for me 00:26:56.01\00:26:58.28 was last year at Wisconsin camp meeting. 00:26:58.31\00:27:00.18 I went to see a community services presentation 00:27:00.22\00:27:03.39 and he talked about meeting, 00:27:03.42\00:27:05.25 finding a need in your community 00:27:05.29\00:27:06.76 and meeting that need, 00:27:06.79\00:27:08.19 rather than thinking of whatever idea 00:27:08.22\00:27:10.86 that you might have and think, 00:27:10.89\00:27:12.23 I wanna do this program without maybe seeing 00:27:12.26\00:27:14.80 if your community really needs that program. 00:27:14.83\00:27:16.97 That's right. 00:27:17.00\00:27:18.33 So that really kind of resonated with me 00:27:18.37\00:27:20.50 which is why I thought the Hacksaw Ridge thing 00:27:20.54\00:27:22.37 was such a good tying 00:27:22.40\00:27:23.74 with the homeless veteran shelter. 00:27:23.77\00:27:25.51 So I started looking at some things we have going on 00:27:25.54\00:27:28.11 and I have to say I have an advantage 00:27:28.14\00:27:30.05 because whatever I do professionally, 00:27:30.08\00:27:32.31 I've been a social worker for a number of years, 00:27:32.35\00:27:34.18 so I kind of have a leg up on people in finding the need 00:27:34.22\00:27:38.95 but anybody can do it. 00:27:38.99\00:27:41.62 You really don't have to look very far, you know, 00:27:41.66\00:27:44.26 you can do a Google search, a newspaper search, 00:27:44.29\00:27:46.49 you can talk to your human services agency 00:27:46.53\00:27:48.50 in your county and find out what do you have locally 00:27:48.53\00:27:51.17 that might be a project in need. 00:27:51.20\00:27:54.37 And our area has a pretty high suicide rate. 00:27:54.40\00:27:58.44 And we also have a large methamphetamine problem, 00:27:58.47\00:28:03.31 and a lot of children being put into foster care 00:28:03.35\00:28:05.61 in the surrounding counties. 00:28:05.65\00:28:06.98 So some of the first things that we did is 00:28:07.02\00:28:09.32 we brought in training for the church members first, 00:28:09.35\00:28:13.05 it's a program called Question Persuade and Refer 00:28:13.09\00:28:15.96 and it's a suicide prevention program. 00:28:15.99\00:28:18.43 So it's to teach everyday people, 00:28:18.46\00:28:20.56 laypeople how to talk to somebody 00:28:20.60\00:28:22.76 if you think that they may be in danger of suicide. 00:28:22.80\00:28:26.03 So we brought that into the church 00:28:26.07\00:28:28.10 and did some training and we're planning on 00:28:28.14\00:28:29.94 another one probably later this year. 00:28:29.97\00:28:32.64 And one day I saw a news story locally 00:28:32.67\00:28:37.38 and this was the first big project I came with. 00:28:37.41\00:28:40.02 And it talked about the needs 00:28:40.05\00:28:42.95 for the drug endangered children program, 00:28:42.98\00:28:45.52 you know, when kids are removed a lot of their belongings 00:28:45.55\00:28:48.96 and everything are contaminated, 00:28:48.99\00:28:51.26 because of the drug use in the home. 00:28:51.29\00:28:53.03 So they wanted law enforcement and the social workers 00:28:53.06\00:28:56.43 to have backpacks 00:28:56.46\00:28:57.80 with necessary items for these kids. 00:28:57.83\00:29:00.07 So we did a very large donation drive with the church. 00:29:00.10\00:29:02.84 I think we were collecting for 00:29:02.87\00:29:04.27 four to six weeks off of the list. 00:29:04.31\00:29:08.04 And we donated that out to the Oakland county 00:29:08.08\00:29:10.11 drug endangered children program 00:29:10.15\00:29:11.48 and our local law enforcement actually then assembled 00:29:11.51\00:29:14.68 the backpacks for the kids. 00:29:14.72\00:29:16.05 Wow. 00:29:16.08\00:29:17.42 And it came to me later through another avenue 00:29:17.45\00:29:18.95 that the Altoona police chief 00:29:18.99\00:29:21.09 was actually aware of our church 00:29:21.12\00:29:23.12 through doing that because his, 00:29:23.16\00:29:25.89 some of his staff had helped assemble the backpacks 00:29:25.93\00:29:28.63 and they were told that, you know, 00:29:28.66\00:29:30.00 the Adventist church in your community 00:29:30.03\00:29:32.30 donated these items. 00:29:32.33\00:29:33.67 Look at that. 00:29:33.70\00:29:35.04 So put your name in a positive light. 00:29:35.07\00:29:36.54 Right. Well, okay. 00:29:36.57\00:29:38.37 And that's kind of my goal is to be out there 00:29:38.41\00:29:41.14 and for people to know who we are 00:29:41.18\00:29:43.08 and we're talking about this last night actually. 00:29:43.11\00:29:45.91 You know, I want some of the agencies to think, 00:29:45.95\00:29:48.95 "You know, we've got this need, 00:29:48.98\00:29:51.65 the Adventist Church has helped us with this before. 00:29:51.69\00:29:54.36 Let's give them a call." 00:29:54.39\00:29:55.72 That's right. That's my goal. 00:29:55.76\00:29:57.59 That's a very good mindset to come to the program with 00:29:57.63\00:30:01.63 because when your name becomes synonymous with, 00:30:01.66\00:30:05.20 we've been seeing these people a lot, 00:30:05.23\00:30:06.57 they were at the movie theater, now they're doing a fundraiser 00:30:06.60\00:30:09.50 and raising for people that have other needs 00:30:09.54\00:30:11.84 and other community necessities. 00:30:11.87\00:30:14.48 Wow, they're pretty active and connect to church. 00:30:14.51\00:30:17.45 Let's find out what drives them and I like the fact that, 00:30:17.48\00:30:20.82 I think one of you asked the question 00:30:20.85\00:30:22.18 or mention the question somebody ask you why, 00:30:22.22\00:30:24.65 why are you doing this? 00:30:24.69\00:30:26.35 When you begin with the why? 00:30:26.39\00:30:28.56 Then you can go to the how and then the what you do. 00:30:28.59\00:30:31.93 Why you do it is the most important thing, 00:30:31.96\00:30:34.36 but sometimes we often start with the what we believe 00:30:34.40\00:30:37.47 and how we worship rather than beginning with the why. 00:30:37.50\00:30:41.00 If you start with the why, 00:30:41.04\00:30:42.37 then it motivates why do we do this? 00:30:42.40\00:30:44.31 Because we love people, because we want to make 00:30:44.34\00:30:45.91 a difference in our community, 00:30:45.94\00:30:47.28 because we want to lead people to Christ, 00:30:47.31\00:30:48.88 but instead of doing it the way that is uncomfortable for them, 00:30:48.91\00:30:53.42 you meet them where they are. 00:30:53.45\00:30:54.78 Amen. And you brought some pictures. 00:30:54.82\00:30:56.75 Yeah, we did and this was from another outreach 00:30:56.79\00:31:00.19 that we did over Christmas. 00:31:00.22\00:31:01.56 And we have an organization called the Wellness Check 00:31:01.59\00:31:04.23 in Eau Claire and it's a peer run center 00:31:04.26\00:31:08.13 for persons with mental illness. 00:31:08.16\00:31:09.96 Is this a quilt? What are they doing? 00:31:10.00\00:31:11.50 We are making Thai blankets in there 00:31:11.53\00:31:14.00 and that's our head deacon in center 00:31:14.04\00:31:15.77 and her granddaughter. 00:31:15.80\00:31:17.14 Okay. 00:31:17.17\00:31:18.51 Making these so we decided to do Christmas gifts 00:31:18.54\00:31:23.48 for the consumers at the Wellness Check. 00:31:23.51\00:31:25.51 We wanted to look out and find somebody 00:31:25.55\00:31:28.55 who may be forgotten 'cause, you know, 00:31:28.58\00:31:30.09 there's lots of, you know, 00:31:30.12\00:31:32.35 toy programs for kids at Christmas. 00:31:32.39\00:31:34.76 And so a lot of the consumers there have mental illness 00:31:34.79\00:31:38.76 and substance abuse problems, maybe homeless 00:31:38.79\00:31:41.93 and quite really forgotten people. 00:31:41.96\00:31:43.93 So we did, we had a total of 40 Thai blankets 00:31:43.97\00:31:48.70 and then we made 40 gift bags 00:31:48.74\00:31:51.21 and I think those are shown in another picture, 00:31:51.24\00:31:53.61 where we put together some basic necessities 00:31:53.64\00:31:56.44 and we got the list of what would be needed 00:31:56.48\00:31:58.41 from the director at the Wellness Check. 00:31:58.45\00:31:59.78 Definitely gloves when you add that 00:31:59.81\00:32:01.15 to go with it. 00:32:01.18\00:32:02.52 So we put these together in little Thai backpacks 00:32:02.55\00:32:04.39 and we had those down there 00:32:04.42\00:32:05.75 for their Christmas party in December. 00:32:05.79\00:32:07.92 Look at that, look at that. 00:32:07.96\00:32:09.79 And was there one more picture? 00:32:09.82\00:32:13.40 There are a couple more, this is an ongoing ministry 00:32:13.43\00:32:16.00 we've had for a long time and this is serving meals 00:32:16.03\00:32:17.93 at the community table. 00:32:17.97\00:32:19.30 Okay. 00:32:19.33\00:32:20.67 Which serves meals every day, seven days a week 00:32:20.70\00:32:22.44 and it's all volunteer organizations 00:32:22.47\00:32:24.21 that come in and prepare and serve the meals. 00:32:24.24\00:32:26.84 So we have a couple pictures here 00:32:26.88\00:32:28.81 of our church members, 00:32:28.84\00:32:30.18 down there serving at the community table. 00:32:30.21\00:32:32.01 That's called the community table. 00:32:32.05\00:32:33.85 That's something that people are familiar 00:32:33.88\00:32:36.22 with the point of touch... Yes. 00:32:36.25\00:32:37.62 Where people come and get their needs, their needs. 00:32:37.65\00:32:39.09 Yeah, that they have meals every day. 00:32:39.12\00:32:41.56 But I think I'm kind of most excited about 00:32:41.59\00:32:45.89 at this point as we have, 00:32:45.93\00:32:47.83 we're in the very beginning stages 00:32:47.86\00:32:49.40 of forming a partnership 00:32:49.43\00:32:51.20 with an organization called Fierce Freedom 00:32:51.23\00:32:53.87 and they are local actually... 00:32:53.90\00:32:55.70 Could you say what's the name of the organization? 00:32:55.74\00:32:57.07 Fierce Freedom. Fierce Freedom, okay. 00:32:57.11\00:32:59.01 And they are a local, literally down street 00:32:59.04\00:33:02.84 from our church and I'm not even sure 00:33:02.88\00:33:04.61 how I stumbles, I just think, you know, God led me there. 00:33:04.65\00:33:06.78 The God led you. That's right. You know. 00:33:06.82\00:33:08.48 And they are an anti-human trafficking organization 00:33:08.52\00:33:13.25 and they do a lot of stuff locally. 00:33:13.29\00:33:15.76 And we brought them in and they did a presentation 00:33:15.79\00:33:19.96 for our church to talk about human trafficking 00:33:20.00\00:33:22.23 and what we can do 00:33:22.26\00:33:25.10 and we have a lot of church members 00:33:25.13\00:33:27.47 who are really excited about doing some type of work 00:33:27.50\00:33:31.31 with this organization. 00:33:31.34\00:33:32.67 So the church has become a sponsor 00:33:32.71\00:33:37.35 for they have a justice run in July, 00:33:37.38\00:33:40.78 and it's on the Wednesday evening 00:33:40.82\00:33:42.62 and it's a fundraiser. 00:33:42.65\00:33:43.99 So the church has become a sponsor 00:33:44.02\00:33:45.35 for their justice run. 00:33:45.39\00:33:46.96 We'll have our logo on their T-shirts 00:33:46.99\00:33:50.09 and we also will be able to have a table at the event. 00:33:50.13\00:33:54.03 And we may put items in their goodie bags 00:33:54.06\00:33:58.63 for the runners, 00:33:58.67\00:34:00.00 so they're gonna have 500 goodie bags 00:34:00.04\00:34:01.37 and we have a board meeting next week actually, 00:34:01.40\00:34:03.71 so I'm gonna be talking to the board about 00:34:03.74\00:34:05.14 what we might be able to put 00:34:05.17\00:34:06.51 in the goodie bag for the runners. 00:34:06.54\00:34:08.11 Wonderful. 00:34:08.14\00:34:09.48 I mean, that's so this starting with the blessings on the go, 00:34:09.51\00:34:13.31 the Hacksaw Ridge project, meeting people and then, 00:34:13.35\00:34:17.89 Michelle, the Lord inspires her, 00:34:17.92\00:34:19.85 "Hey, this is just the beginning." 00:34:19.89\00:34:22.36 And so the Chippewa Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:34:22.39\00:34:25.19 is known as, they are people that reach out, 00:34:25.23\00:34:28.90 not just say come in but they come out 00:34:28.93\00:34:31.70 and they come out to make a difference in our community. 00:34:31.73\00:34:34.04 But I can't ignore these shirts that are sticking here. 00:34:34.07\00:34:36.97 Do you like them? 00:34:37.01\00:34:38.34 I can't ignore them, they're about radio 00:34:38.37\00:34:39.71 and I want to have. 00:34:39.74\00:34:41.08 Orv, tell us about another inspirational touch point 00:34:41.11\00:34:43.85 of that 3ABN impact... 00:34:43.88\00:34:45.21 Before I started talking with radio station 00:34:45.25\00:34:46.95 and it's like to really emphasize, 00:34:46.98\00:34:49.88 you may not have any talents. 00:34:49.92\00:34:53.32 I mean, I have a project but if you get inspiration 00:34:53.36\00:34:57.16 'cause this how the Hacksaw Ridge started 00:34:57.19\00:34:59.23 Marcia and I, after we heard the program 00:34:59.26\00:35:00.93 we said, we're gonna do this, it was like that. 00:35:00.96\00:35:03.47 That's right. 00:35:03.50\00:35:04.83 And people will just need to do that, you know. 00:35:04.87\00:35:08.17 And maybe it will be just, we weren't sure who, 00:35:08.20\00:35:10.91 who was involved, how many people 00:35:10.94\00:35:12.27 but look what happened with just two couples. 00:35:12.31\00:35:15.64 I mean, almost 40 people. Yeah. 00:35:15.68\00:35:18.41 That's a dream come true. Amen. 00:35:18.45\00:35:21.35 And so I would just encourage, we get old here 00:35:21.38\00:35:24.22 and I'm gonna be, I'm 75 plus. 00:35:24.25\00:35:25.65 Are you really? 00:35:25.69\00:35:27.02 If I can, well, I'll be 76 in September. 00:35:27.06\00:35:28.42 So anyway, if I can do it, anybody can do it 00:35:28.46\00:35:32.23 but here's the key. 00:35:32.26\00:35:34.30 The key is that, you have a thought 00:35:34.33\00:35:37.90 and you have the thought over how many times, 00:35:37.93\00:35:40.70 and sooner or later that thought is gonna go away 00:35:40.74\00:35:42.87 because you kind of seared the thought 00:35:42.90\00:35:45.27 and you get the thought act on it. 00:35:45.31\00:35:47.18 It's very good point. 00:35:47.21\00:35:48.54 And you may just be, you may just like, 00:35:48.58\00:35:49.91 like listening into the radio station, like, 00:35:49.94\00:35:52.25 what happened with the radio station someone says 00:35:52.28\00:35:54.65 where would you have little time 00:35:54.68\00:35:56.55 to maybe help get this live, get this station on the online? 00:35:56.58\00:36:00.89 Well, that was October 31st, 00:36:00.92\00:36:03.79 the station's license run out December 31st. 00:36:03.83\00:36:08.26 The station was put up without land, without money, 00:36:08.30\00:36:12.50 without anything and the guy who had no experience. 00:36:12.53\00:36:15.97 But in 40 days money was there, the land was there, 00:36:16.00\00:36:20.01 the permits all got, put through the system 00:36:20.04\00:36:23.11 like they have to be 00:36:23.14\00:36:24.48 and sometimes permits are hard to get. 00:36:24.51\00:36:25.85 Yeah. 00:36:25.88\00:36:27.22 You do some good honor and you get a permit. 00:36:27.25\00:36:28.58 Anyway, within 40 days the station went from nothing 00:36:28.62\00:36:31.05 to an on the air station. 00:36:31.09\00:36:32.65 Praise the Lord. 00:36:32.69\00:36:34.02 What a blessing, I'm just happy to be part of it. 00:36:34.06\00:36:36.99 And I will hold this proudly, 00:36:37.03\00:36:38.99 so that people that are driving through your area, 00:36:39.03\00:36:41.16 you could tune into 103.5FM, your total lifestyle network. 00:36:41.20\00:36:47.37 Pastor Lomacang, that's actually one of three stations. 00:36:47.40\00:36:49.90 Yes. Oh, wow. 00:36:49.94\00:36:51.27 That's from the station over in Menominee 00:36:51.31\00:36:53.24 that Orv managed for seven years. 00:36:53.27\00:36:55.64 And where is that again? And... 00:36:55.68\00:36:57.01 Menominee down the road, 00:36:57.05\00:36:58.38 there's three stations within the triangle of about 00:36:58.41\00:37:00.28 30 miles from each other. 00:37:00.32\00:37:01.65 Look at that. 00:37:01.68\00:37:03.02 There's also a station 00:37:03.05\00:37:04.39 at the actual church sight itself, 96.9. 00:37:04.42\00:37:08.16 Okay. 00:37:08.19\00:37:09.52 And then there's also the one that was built in 40 days 00:37:09.56\00:37:13.60 on a piece of land that was donated 00:37:13.63\00:37:15.56 by a Jew lady Helen Pack. 00:37:15.60\00:37:17.80 And her son Ashwell Pack got together a crew 00:37:17.83\00:37:20.94 to put in the tower, put in the building, 00:37:20.97\00:37:23.71 do the construction, 00:37:23.74\00:37:25.84 lend fast up on the Rice Lake Church, 00:37:25.87\00:37:27.84 put the equipment together and Orv project manager to it. 00:37:27.88\00:37:31.11 And that's the one that went up in 40 days. 00:37:31.15\00:37:33.52 Yeah. 00:37:33.55\00:37:34.88 Almost in the middle of the winter too. 00:37:34.92\00:37:36.82 I guess, we must like doing projects 00:37:36.85\00:37:38.35 in the winter in Wisconsin. 00:37:38.39\00:37:39.72 Yeah, you know, whatever, whatever you start 00:37:39.75\00:37:41.69 will be frozen into place. 00:37:41.72\00:37:43.12 Yes, right. 00:37:43.16\00:37:44.49 They will be preserved through wintertime. 00:37:44.53\00:37:45.86 To show you how God works, 00:37:45.89\00:37:47.63 when the tower was to be put up... 00:37:47.66\00:37:49.40 Yes. 00:37:49.43\00:37:50.77 It was, the ground wasn't frozen yet. 00:37:50.80\00:37:52.20 Yes. 00:37:52.23\00:37:53.57 And this truck came in, it was a, 00:37:53.60\00:37:54.94 I mean, like, a cement truck... 00:37:54.97\00:37:56.30 It's a crane. 00:37:56.34\00:37:57.67 A crane, this cement truck, yeah. 00:37:57.71\00:37:59.04 Anyway to get that in there 00:37:59.07\00:38:00.44 the land had to be frozen and guess what? 00:38:00.48\00:38:02.41 God froze the land. The night before. 00:38:02.44\00:38:04.18 Night before. Look at that. 00:38:04.21\00:38:06.15 Isn't that great? What a blessing. 00:38:06.18\00:38:08.48 That could only happen in Wisconsin in the wintertime. 00:38:08.52\00:38:11.85 So we don't have T-shirts from all three stations 00:38:11.89\00:38:14.22 but I think we're gonna make some more designed pretty soon. 00:38:14.26\00:38:17.36 We're actually going to the fair this summer. 00:38:17.39\00:38:21.93 North Wisconsin concerts. 00:38:21.96\00:38:23.30 There's some rather would large countywide, 00:38:23.33\00:38:25.87 many county fair. 00:38:25.90\00:38:27.30 And so people at the fair will probably see T-shirts 00:38:27.34\00:38:32.67 with the other radio stations listed, 00:38:32.71\00:38:34.58 they'll probably see more Hacksaw Ridge books 00:38:34.61\00:38:36.98 and they will most likely 00:38:37.01\00:38:38.75 God willing remember seeing us someplace else 00:38:38.78\00:38:42.18 and we'll still be there friends again. 00:38:42.22\00:38:44.02 That's right. 00:38:44.05\00:38:45.39 And who knows what projects will come up with that, 00:38:45.42\00:38:47.79 Michelle, as we talk to people. 00:38:47.82\00:38:49.79 And then we're also going to be promoting 00:38:49.82\00:38:52.76 Family Home Christian books, 00:38:52.79\00:38:54.13 which is another project we heard on 3ABN. 00:38:54.16\00:38:57.10 Look at that. 00:38:57.13\00:38:58.47 And so and it's just another, 00:38:58.50\00:39:02.94 another outreach that we'll be doing. 00:39:02.97\00:39:05.27 3ABN has become your one stop shopping inspirational network. 00:39:05.31\00:39:08.54 For the total, lifestyle network. 00:39:08.58\00:39:09.91 Amen, amen. 00:39:09.94\00:39:11.28 And, you know, what's wonderful about that 00:39:11.31\00:39:12.65 for those of you who know 3ABN has also radio. 00:39:12.68\00:39:15.65 My wife works for 3ABN radio. 00:39:15.68\00:39:17.95 And sometimes it's more convenient 00:39:17.99\00:39:19.45 because she could, you're driving 00:39:19.49\00:39:20.82 depending on going through communities, 00:39:20.86\00:39:23.06 here we have a Du Quoin is the radio station 00:39:23.09\00:39:26.93 we have here 95.9 on the FM dial. 00:39:26.96\00:39:30.57 And when people are driving through here, 00:39:30.60\00:39:31.97 they listen to 3ABN radio and my wife, 00:39:32.00\00:39:34.70 praise the Lord is doing something 00:39:34.74\00:39:36.44 she never thought she would ever do. 00:39:36.47\00:39:37.87 No. 00:39:37.91\00:39:39.24 Producing and editing programs on 3ABN radio. 00:39:39.27\00:39:42.81 But now talk about some of the need that you have 00:39:42.84\00:39:44.45 because there are future projects 00:39:44.48\00:39:46.25 that the Chippewa Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:39:46.28\00:39:49.05 want to be involved and you just alluded 00:39:49.08\00:39:50.42 to some of those tables when it comes to, 00:39:50.45\00:39:53.66 is that a county fair is that what I'm... 00:39:53.69\00:39:55.56 It's a large many county fair, it's a district... 00:39:55.59\00:39:58.23 It's called North, North Wisconsin State Fair. 00:39:58.26\00:40:00.56 Yeah. 00:40:00.60\00:40:01.93 It's next to Marquette State Fair, 00:40:01.96\00:40:03.97 well, Chippewa Falls has, kind of adapted or whatever 00:40:04.00\00:40:08.54 to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair. 00:40:08.57\00:40:12.71 So talk about some of the needs that you foresee being there, 00:40:12.74\00:40:16.14 so that we could challenge our viewers and listeners 00:40:16.18\00:40:19.61 to participate in that because, 00:40:19.65\00:40:21.35 "Hey, the need for funds to get some all of these books, 00:40:21.38\00:40:26.25 continue to inspire the production 00:40:26.29\00:40:28.62 of more T-shirts get out of the community. 00:40:28.66\00:40:30.73 I mean, we people like to get involve in that. 00:40:30.76\00:40:33.50 I guess, I would just like to, 00:40:33.53\00:40:36.93 there's a couple other ministries 00:40:36.97\00:40:38.93 that are being done that I'd just like 00:40:38.97\00:40:40.44 to touch on really quickly. 00:40:40.47\00:40:42.04 Sure. 00:40:42.07\00:40:43.41 One is our home and school coordinator 00:40:43.44\00:40:44.77 Darcy Peterson has been coordinating a 5K 00:40:44.81\00:40:47.54 for the last couple of years, 00:40:47.58\00:40:48.91 and all the proceeds from that 5K 00:40:48.94\00:40:50.75 go to the city of Altoona for parks equipment. 00:40:50.78\00:40:53.58 So that's kind of put us on the map 00:40:53.62\00:40:55.92 in terms of that locally. 00:40:55.95\00:40:57.69 And pastor, wonderfully, 00:40:57.72\00:41:01.42 we have a wonderful musically talented pastor 00:41:01.46\00:41:04.06 who has done a really wonderful Easter program 00:41:04.09\00:41:06.76 with the entire church the last two years. 00:41:06.80\00:41:08.60 I mean, everybody gets involved, 00:41:08.63\00:41:09.96 the kids and I wish I had thought 00:41:10.00\00:41:11.37 to put bring pictures of that. 00:41:11.40\00:41:13.47 And this year when we did the Easter program, 00:41:13.50\00:41:15.80 pastor suggested that we take a free will donation 00:41:15.84\00:41:19.44 in the two evenings of the show 00:41:19.47\00:41:21.24 and one night we donated it to Fierce Freedom. 00:41:21.28\00:41:24.58 And the second night we donated to an organization 00:41:24.61\00:41:28.28 called the Chippewa Valley Street ministry, 00:41:28.32\00:41:29.85 which is another one, 00:41:29.88\00:41:31.22 I'm looking at potentially doing some more work with. 00:41:31.25\00:41:35.02 And they literally work, they call it a ministry 00:41:35.06\00:41:38.76 but it's really a service organization 00:41:38.79\00:41:41.06 where they hand out clothing, shoes, gloves to people 00:41:41.10\00:41:46.13 who are homeless in the community 00:41:46.17\00:41:47.50 and they're out two nights a week. 00:41:47.54\00:41:48.87 And what we're looking at possibly is developing 00:41:48.90\00:41:52.31 a Saturday afternoon or Saturday evening team 00:41:52.34\00:41:54.44 from our church but that's always, 00:41:54.48\00:41:56.85 you know, in kind of stay tuned to see where that goes. 00:41:56.88\00:42:00.72 I like that. 00:42:00.75\00:42:02.08 But that's some other things that have been involved. 00:42:02.12\00:42:03.85 So we have an incredibly supportive 00:42:03.89\00:42:06.05 and involved church 00:42:06.09\00:42:07.42 and we have a wonderful group of people 00:42:07.46\00:42:09.09 that show up whenever we say, 00:42:09.12\00:42:10.79 we need volunteers to serve a meal, 00:42:10.83\00:42:12.39 we need volunteers to hand out books, 00:42:12.43\00:42:14.56 there are people there. 00:42:14.60\00:42:15.93 Wow. 00:42:15.96\00:42:17.30 I like the fact that you talked about that 00:42:17.33\00:42:18.67 just getting involved in the community, you know, 00:42:18.70\00:42:20.74 there's a principle, there's a... 00:42:20.77\00:42:24.14 I call it a reciprocal principle, 00:42:24.17\00:42:26.64 "Give and it shall be given to you." 00:42:26.68\00:42:29.14 Absolutely. You know. 00:42:29.18\00:42:30.51 Amen. 00:42:30.55\00:42:31.88 Press down, shaken together and running over, 00:42:31.91\00:42:33.82 and so as your church gets involved 00:42:33.85\00:42:35.25 in giving to the community. 00:42:35.28\00:42:37.65 It's amazing 'cause a lot of churches get involved 00:42:37.69\00:42:40.06 and how much money can we raise coming into our coffers. 00:42:40.09\00:42:44.79 But I'm listening carefully and what church is doing 00:42:44.83\00:42:48.36 as you're raising money to make a difference in this area, 00:42:48.40\00:42:52.80 that area in different parts of the community. 00:42:52.83\00:42:55.67 And the Lord is blessing your bottom line 00:42:55.70\00:42:58.04 in your own church 00:42:58.07\00:42:59.87 because the membership is saying, 00:42:59.91\00:43:01.84 we exist, we have a purpose. 00:43:01.88\00:43:04.11 Right. 00:43:04.15\00:43:05.48 And God is inspiring us to do other things. 00:43:05.51\00:43:08.08 Anything else, anybody else you want to add to the story 00:43:08.12\00:43:10.05 because I know that you showed a large contingency of people 00:43:10.09\00:43:13.49 that were on that screen. 00:43:13.52\00:43:15.12 And praise the Lord that your pastor 00:43:15.16\00:43:16.49 is a significant part of the inspiration 00:43:16.52\00:43:18.56 that makes the difference. 00:43:18.59\00:43:19.93 But what are some of the things that you see 00:43:19.96\00:43:23.47 being a part of the future outreach 00:43:23.50\00:43:25.43 of your church, Marcia? 00:43:25.47\00:43:28.17 I would just carry on 00:43:28.20\00:43:29.54 and if God gives us another idea 00:43:29.57\00:43:31.41 we would be, you know, blessed to follow it. 00:43:31.44\00:43:34.58 I mean, one of the things 00:43:34.61\00:43:36.41 we were sincerely thinking of doing 00:43:36.44\00:43:38.65 and it's still going round and round in the brain 00:43:38.68\00:43:41.38 is that our church has the distinctive doctrine 00:43:41.42\00:43:46.39 of the sanctuary. 00:43:46.42\00:43:48.09 And we were really considering trying to do 00:43:48.12\00:43:53.66 a little bit of an outreach at the fair 00:43:53.70\00:43:55.76 just showing the sanctuary model. 00:43:55.80\00:43:58.77 Basically asking, where is Jesus now 00:43:58.80\00:44:00.74 and what is He doing, 00:44:00.77\00:44:02.17 and then tying that enlist you can hear more 00:44:02.20\00:44:04.47 on the radio station, you could read more 00:44:04.51\00:44:06.54 in the family home Christian book sanctuary, 00:44:06.57\00:44:09.41 childrens classics. 00:44:09.44\00:44:10.95 They are trying to wrap it all up into one. 00:44:10.98\00:44:14.95 So that's a project still in the works. 00:44:14.98\00:44:18.65 I guess, if I would say anything to anybody, 00:44:18.69\00:44:23.09 God is speaking to our hearts all the time. 00:44:23.12\00:44:26.29 And, you know, sometimes we take an idea 00:44:26.33\00:44:29.86 and we just let it pass through like Orv said. 00:44:29.90\00:44:33.50 But if you keep swinging it back, 00:44:33.54\00:44:36.30 I think it's really best to listen. 00:44:36.34\00:44:38.31 That's right. 00:44:38.34\00:44:39.67 And as we listen, you know, to just trust 00:44:39.71\00:44:41.94 that He'll bring us the people to do 00:44:41.98\00:44:44.38 what we're supposed to do and to just go forward. 00:44:44.41\00:44:47.85 And I especially enjoy getting to understand 00:44:47.88\00:44:52.79 Michelle's approach to community service better too 00:44:52.82\00:44:55.86 because I can see how the chance 00:44:55.89\00:44:59.13 to form partnerships all in the community 00:44:59.16\00:45:01.93 serves a dual purpose of getting our name out 00:45:01.96\00:45:05.80 just here we are basis as well in giving people 00:45:05.83\00:45:10.37 the opportunity to serve, 00:45:10.41\00:45:12.31 as well as actually performing the service. 00:45:12.34\00:45:15.28 And so I really like that approach 00:45:15.31\00:45:17.01 to community service. 00:45:17.05\00:45:18.61 Orv and I did not grow up Adventist 00:45:18.65\00:45:20.75 and Michelle didn't it either. 00:45:20.78\00:45:22.32 We're actually, Orv and I 00:45:22.35\00:45:24.05 are the product of evangelism campaign, 00:45:24.09\00:45:27.72 where Dan Bensinger came by and... 00:45:27.76\00:45:30.46 1994. 00:45:30.49\00:45:31.83 January, no, December 10th, 1994 we were baptized. 00:45:31.86\00:45:35.56 Amen. 00:45:35.60\00:45:36.93 Yeah, he was actually a spiritualist minister 00:45:36.97\00:45:39.03 and we met at a seance a long time ago 00:45:39.07\00:45:42.00 so God has done a tremendous work on us, 00:45:42.04\00:45:44.17 He had a lot of cleaning up to do on us... 00:45:44.21\00:45:46.37 No. Did a really good job. 00:45:46.41\00:45:48.34 And I found out that Michelle and I were both raised 00:45:48.38\00:45:50.65 in the same faith in the past. 00:45:50.68\00:45:53.42 And you actually were introduced 00:45:53.45\00:45:56.45 to the faith at evangelism seminar. 00:45:56.48\00:45:59.02 Yep, I, my sister married an Adventist 00:45:59.05\00:46:01.82 and I was 16 or 17 00:46:01.86\00:46:04.36 and she took me to an evangelism series 00:46:04.39\00:46:06.43 and it took me a few years, I think about 17 00:46:06.46\00:46:09.56 but before I actually set foot in the church. 00:46:09.60\00:46:11.73 Wow. 00:46:11.77\00:46:13.10 What a transformation to come out from a seance. 00:46:13.13\00:46:15.44 Yeah. 00:46:15.47\00:46:16.81 I mean that's the Lord, the Holy Spirit broken 00:46:16.84\00:46:19.47 and that's a beautiful thing about it, 00:46:19.51\00:46:21.68 there are spirits out there which you all know now 00:46:21.71\00:46:23.78 when you talk about that. 00:46:23.81\00:46:25.15 All too well and forth. 00:46:25.18\00:46:26.51 That's another program on another day. 00:46:26.55\00:46:28.58 But how God, how God finds us... 00:46:28.62\00:46:32.55 Amen. And gives us a purpose? 00:46:32.59\00:46:33.99 Yes, yes. 00:46:34.02\00:46:35.36 And now you're unashamed of the gospel, you know, 00:46:35.39\00:46:36.73 sharing that in the beautiful way, you know, 00:46:36.76\00:46:38.56 I want to give the opportunity to those who are watching 00:46:38.59\00:46:41.33 the program to get the address. 00:46:41.36\00:46:43.90 And we're gonna come back with a song 00:46:43.93\00:46:45.30 and then we're gonna go to a news break 00:46:45.33\00:46:46.97 and then give you an opportunity to wrap it up 00:46:47.00\00:46:49.04 on the other side of our news break. 00:46:49.07\00:46:50.97 But here is the information that you need to be able 00:46:51.01\00:46:54.54 to participate whether prayerfully or financially 00:46:54.58\00:46:57.61 in the outreach of the Chippewa Valley 00:46:57.65\00:46:59.58 Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:46:59.61\00:47:01.18 If you would like to contact this church, 00:47:04.25\00:47:06.02 then you can do so by writing 00:47:06.05\00:47:07.56 to Chippewa Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:47:07.59\00:47:10.73 919 10th Street West, Altoona, Wisconsin 54720. 00:47:10.76\00:47:16.26 That's, Chippewa Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:47:16.30\00:47:19.20 919 10th Street West, Altoona, Wisconsin 54720. 00:47:19.23\00:47:25.24 You can call (715) 834-1782. 00:47:25.27\00:47:29.24 That's (715) 834-1782. 00:47:29.28\00:47:33.05 Or visit them online at CVAdventist.LakeUnion.org. 00:47:33.08\00:47:39.05 That's CVAdventist.LakeUnion.org. 00:47:39.09\00:47:45.26 Chippewa Valley, tell me about that area, is it mountainous? 00:47:49.76\00:47:54.30 Is it just 'cause Wisconsin, Chippewa, 00:47:54.34\00:47:57.11 I think of Native Americans. 00:47:57.14\00:47:59.27 You know, a lot of people that, 00:47:59.31\00:48:01.58 you talked about some of the challenges 00:48:01.61\00:48:03.11 in the community, you mentioned drug, 00:48:03.14\00:48:05.15 and they're veterans and they're homeless. 00:48:05.18\00:48:08.28 So you see a church reaching out 00:48:08.32\00:48:10.99 and making a difference in those areas. 00:48:11.02\00:48:12.52 Tell me, give me some of that insight 00:48:12.55\00:48:15.79 of how your church not only through these programs 00:48:15.82\00:48:18.79 but how you see a church fitting in to continue 00:48:18.83\00:48:22.40 to be a lighthouse in that area. 00:48:22.43\00:48:26.13 Well, our church is growing. 00:48:26.17\00:48:28.60 In fact, we're starting to look at a new building 00:48:28.64\00:48:31.17 or possibly building, 00:48:31.21\00:48:32.94 so that's a benefit of our church outreach. 00:48:32.97\00:48:36.54 Okay. You know, and so. 00:48:52.83\00:48:54.76 Well, as you begin I also see the only place 00:48:54.80\00:48:56.70 that success comes before work is in the dictionary. 00:48:56.73\00:49:00.74 I'm sure, you've heard that before. 00:49:00.77\00:49:02.40 And Michelle, Michelle has a newfound drive 00:49:02.44\00:49:05.47 and passion to get out in the community, 00:49:05.51\00:49:07.84 social work was one way 00:49:07.88\00:49:09.21 but now the Lord has bent your tree 00:49:09.24\00:49:11.08 a different direction. 00:49:11.11\00:49:12.45 I think so, absolutely 00:49:12.48\00:49:13.82 and I've been in magistrate position 00:49:13.85\00:49:15.52 for the last few years, 00:49:15.55\00:49:16.89 and so I don't get as much of direct care that I think. 00:49:16.92\00:49:20.56 I need, I think I was born a social worker. 00:49:20.59\00:49:22.89 And but, you know, again 00:49:22.92\00:49:24.29 I just want people to understand 00:49:24.33\00:49:26.29 that you don't have to be a social worker 00:49:26.33\00:49:27.66 to be able to do this, 00:49:27.70\00:49:29.03 you just have to fit, finely ask some questions 00:49:29.06\00:49:31.03 and get out in your community. 00:49:31.07\00:49:32.40 And you can find where those needs are 00:49:32.43\00:49:33.97 and you can meet them you don't, 00:49:34.00\00:49:35.40 you don't have to have the same background, 00:49:35.44\00:49:36.91 they have an advantage but anybody can do it. 00:49:36.94\00:49:39.91 That's right. 00:49:39.94\00:49:41.28 And we've seen the same thing in Marcia's life 00:49:41.31\00:49:43.95 and both of you together are serving the Lord, 00:49:43.98\00:49:45.91 where He took you from and where He has planted you. 00:49:45.95\00:49:49.35 Right. Ain't that wonderful? 00:49:49.38\00:49:50.85 It's wonderful. 00:49:50.89\00:49:52.22 And, you know, and the context of this next song 00:49:52.25\00:49:54.96 before we go to our news break, 00:49:54.99\00:49:56.83 I could see this is so true in the lives of a Michelle, 00:49:56.86\00:50:00.03 Marcia and Orv, 00:50:00.06\00:50:01.40 "I've Never Loved Him Better Than Today." 00:50:01.43\00:50:04.57 Amen. 00:50:04.60\00:50:05.93 Since Jesus came and found me 00:50:18.08\00:50:21.08 And He put His arms around me 00:50:21.12\00:50:24.19 And no my binding fetters took away 00:50:24.22\00:50:30.16 Although I loved Him dearly 00:50:30.19\00:50:33.09 And trusted Him sincerely 00:50:33.13\00:50:36.16 I've never loved Him better than today 00:50:36.20\00:50:42.10 I've never loved Him better than today 00:50:42.14\00:50:48.21 I've never felt Him closer along the way 00:50:48.24\00:50:54.18 And though has sweet the feeling 00:50:54.22\00:50:57.12 when in His presence kneeling 00:50:57.15\00:51:00.16 I've never loved Him better than today 00:51:00.19\00:51:04.83 Oh, blessed friend supernal, 00:51:09.16\00:51:12.03 My hope and joy eternal 00:51:12.07\00:51:15.17 Keep now my soul 'til shadows flee away 00:51:15.20\00:51:21.14 Anoint me I would pray, Lord 00:51:21.18\00:51:24.15 Till ends this pilgrims way, Lord 00:51:24.18\00:51:27.18 I've never loved Him better than today 00:51:27.22\00:51:33.15 I've never loved Him better than today 00:51:33.19\00:51:39.13 I've never felt Him closer along the way 00:51:39.16\00:51:45.13 And though has sweet the feeling 00:51:45.17\00:51:48.07 When in His presence kneeling 00:51:48.10\00:51:51.17 I've never loved Him better than today 00:51:51.21\00:51:57.18 I've never loved Him better 00:51:57.21\00:52:00.02 No, I've never loved Him better 00:52:00.05\00:52:03.02 No, I've never loved Him better than today 00:52:03.05\00:52:10.03
