and I remember as a little girl

I loved going to Sabbath school,

I loved singing
all the little songs

and hearing about Jesus

and, you know, just
growing up in the church,

and when I was 11 years old,

I went to a prophecy seminar

and at the end of
the prophecy seminar

and I did have
some Bible studies,

I got baptized.

Oh, that's great.

And I was so on fire for
Jesus at the end of that seminar

that I just wanted to, I
wanted to be in ministry,

I wanted to be an evangelist,
go tell everybody about Jesus,

to get involved in ministry.

But when I told that to my
mom, she didn't know what to do,

but she went to the church
00:13:25.60\00:13:26.94
and so she talked to some
of the ladies in the church

and they actually
said that I was too young,
00:13:29.84\00:13:33.78
that to bring me
back in a few years

and then they would
see what they could do.

And at that moment
I felt the rejection

on most of my church

and it was at the rejection

and the pain that
came from that and...

Yeah, that's pretty
serious 'cause you're, you know,

a young child just
wanting to follow God,

wanting to
evangelize and share Jesus

and then they're telling
you, no, you can't do that.

Did you feel like it was
a rejection from God as well

or just from the church?

No, from the church,

and I believed
that the devil came in

and he started working

as I started to
having those feeling

and he made them go deeper,

and I didn't realize
as a young little girl

what's happening.

Right.

So he knew that he,

the devil knew he
had a couple of years

before my mom
would be taking me back

and he worked kindly in my life

and I did not even know
when I became a teenager,

I started
listening to secular music,
00:14:30.70\00:14:32.87
you know, obvious, my grandpa

who was not brought up
Christian got my brother
00:14:34.70\00:14:37.84
and I a little
radio and, you know,
00:14:37.87\00:14:39.74
when I turned
that little radio on,
00:14:39.77\00:14:41.81
it was like a
whole different world.
00:14:41.84\00:14:43.75
I hadn't listened
to that type of music
00:14:43.78\00:14:45.85
and I didn't
realize what a power music
00:14:45.88\00:14:50.62
has over your mind

and that music turned me from
a loving little Christian girl
00:14:53.12\00:14:56.99
into a very rebellious
girl a few years later.

So you had the
simmering resentment

against the church,

because they wouldn't
let you evangelize and help,

and then Satan used the tool

or the avenue of music
to pull you into rebellion.

He pulled me away
and it was very slight,
00:15:12.51\00:15:14.44
here and there.
00:15:14.48\00:15:15.81
It wasn't
something that happened,

you know, instantly.

It was overtime

and he got himself into my
life without me even knowing it,

and before I knew it

I didn't want to
listen to my parents anymore

and I didn't want to
listen to my teachers.

And my parents said,

wonderful little girl?

What's happened to her?

And they didn't know
and I turned my, you know,

over the years I
turned myself against them

and against the church and,

you know, most
importantly against God

and before I knew it,

I was just out in the world

and thought that the world
had something better to offer me

than God did and I was so wrong.

Was there an age you
made a conscious choice like,

I'm choosing to
walk away from the church

or from my parents or
from how I was raised or guard,

or would you think it was
just a step by step gradual?

It was step by step,
I made wrong step here,

wrong choice there,
chose the wrong friends,

made some, you
know, bad choices in life.

But it all seemed fine,

I didn't know it
wasn't like something

that seemed like it was bad.

It was just, you know,
the devil make sin fun,

you know, otherwise
none of us would do it.

You know, and all the glitter
and the shimmer of this world

and the things
when you are growing up.

And there is so
many different things

that you can get into.

For a while I was into modeling,

and then I got into
different, I got into dancing,

and the club scene,
and I started drinking,

and doing other things

that I don't need to
give the devil glory for.

And, you know, just one
bad choice after the other

and before I knew it,

I was just up to
here in the world,

and I was lost and
didn't even know it.

And one day Lord came to me

and it was just a
miracle how it happened,

I heard Him speak to me.

it's time to come home."

How old were you?

Oh, I was probably 28 or 29,

and when He said to come
home, I knew what He meant.

and then if He came
that day that I would be lost

and I knew that what

knife stabbed in my heart.

But I didn't know
how to come back home,

I started reading my Bible again

things happened in my life

that brought me to the point

where I just had
to cry out to Jesus.

me and to save me,

'cause I realized
that I got into the point,

that I could not get out
of the life that I was living,

that I needed somebody stronger
than I and that was not human,

it would have taken a divine,

divinity in order to rescue me,

and I knew that there was
only one person to turn to

and that was Jesus.

Jesus is everything to me,

because when I cried out to Him,

whatever it takes, I'm willing.

think before that point

I was so inbound,
I was like in chains,

I had tried to get out of
this way of life of alcohol

and drugs and all these things.

And you tried and
you couldn't get out.

And I couldn't get out,

because the devil
kept pulling me back in

and literally I could
feel him pulling like,

never I would try to
leave that whole way of life.

But I had all the,
that was the life I lived,

it was my friends, it was life
in the fast lanes, fast cars,

fast money, fast everything,

everything seemed fun, fun, fun.

And going back to, you know,

a normal way of life
whenever I tried to get out,

he just kept pulling me back in

and so it did, it
take full surrender.

It took me coming to
the point of realizing,

On my 30th birthday
