00:01 Amen.
00:02 We hope that you take advantage 00:04 of contacting Holbrook Indian School 00:05 of praying for them or financially supporting them. 00:08 And if you did not have time to write down that address, 00:10 you can always call us at 3ABN 00:12 and we'll be happy to put you in touch with Holbrook School. 00:16 And we just want to thank each one of you for coming here 00:18 and want to give you a moment to share a closing thought 00:21 with our family at home, so Loren. 00:24 One of the things I found out 00:25 when I first got to Holbrook SDA Indian School is that 00:28 the students view family much differently 00:30 than western culture does. 00:33 So I would ask them, so you have any family 00:34 or any brothers or sisters. 00:36 They said, "Yeah I have a brother and sister." 00:37 And I find out later know that was their cousin. 00:39 And so family is viewed much broader 00:42 and that's because they see family 00:44 just beyond the nuclear family, they see clans, 00:46 and they have a way of introducing themselves 00:48 that describes their clans of their parents 00:50 and their grandparents. 00:51 And I wanted Adrienna to share that with us. 00:53 Oh, wow. Yeah, let's hear. 00:54 Let's hear what that sounds like. 01:05 Wow. That's incredible. 01:09 So the root, you were saying the root system 01:12 you would say with the family is much deeper. 01:14 Ancestry. Ancestry, you could say. 01:16 So you are, and what language was that? 01:18 You're Navajo, all right. That's Navajo. 01:20 Navajo. Wow! 01:22 It's incredible. It's beautiful. That really is. 01:24 And that just goes as a testimony 01:27 of how close family is, 01:28 and how much your family is a part of your identity. 01:32 Because that is what the students are, 01:34 they identify by this chain of family, 01:36 much like in the Bible 01:38 when they used to introduce someone, 01:39 they give the lineage. 01:41 Yes, the genealogy. Yes. 01:43 And that is something that the Navajo people do is 01:45 they give you lineup of this is who I am. 01:48 This is the people I've come from. 01:50 Yes. Yes. 01:52 Now, Jovannah, what if someone's watching 01:54 maybe today and maybe, 01:55 and I didn't tell you this ahead of time. 01:57 But maybe someone comes from a background of abuse, 02:00 someone's hurting and broken inside. 02:02 What would you tell them? 02:04 I would tell them that Christ provides healing. 02:08 And when I first came to Holbrook Indian School, 02:11 I rejected Christ. 02:12 I rejected Christianity because of what I thought 02:16 that it stood for. 02:17 And as I learned more 02:20 and as I cling to Christ more, 02:25 I couldn't let go because of who I learned 02:27 and I knew that He was in reality. 02:29 Amen. 02:30 And God provides healing and He doesn't... 02:35 You can't keep secrets from God. 02:37 And so He can heal even the broken pieces 02:41 that you try to hide. 02:42 Amen. 02:44 What a testimony of the healing that God has done in your life. 02:47 Your testimony has blessed and inspired me and thank you, 02:49 Jovannah, for coming and for sharing 02:51 and for giving back. 02:53 As God has worked to heal you, 02:54 you're working to heal other people 02:56 or God through you is working to heal other people. 02:59 Adrienna, thank you for coming 03:00 and sharing some of your journey 03:02 as a student there at Holbrook, 03:04 and we pray for God's blessings over you. 03:06 And, Loren, thank you for you and your wife 03:09 and for your ministry at the school working 03:11 to bring that help, and hope, and healing. 03:13 Praise God, covet your prayers. Amen. 03:15 And we thank you at home for joining us. 03:18 As part of the 3ABN family, we want to encourage you 03:21 to pray for each one of these people on the set 03:23 and for Holbrook Indian School for God's continued blessing, 03:27 and healing, and anointing. 03:28 Our time is all gone. 03:30 Know that we love you and we pray for you as well. 03:32 God bless you. Amen. |
