00:01 I want to spend my life
00:06 Mending broken people 00:11 I want to spend my life 00:18 Removing pain 00:23 Lord, let my words 00:26 Let my words 00:29 Heal a heart that hurts 00:33 I want to spend my life 00:39 Mending broken people 00:45 I want to spend my life 00:50 Mending broken people 01:08 Surely the presence of the Lord 01:14 Is in this place 01:17 I can feel His mighty power 01:21 And His grace 01:25 I can hear the brush of angel's wings 01:30 I see glory on each face 01:35 Surely the presence of the Lord 01:41 Is in this place 01:46 In the midst of His children 01:50 The Lord said He would be 01:55 It doesn't take very many 01:59 It can be just two or three 02:04 And I feel that same sweet spirit 02:10 That I felt oft times before 02:15 Oh, surely I can say 02:21 I have been with the Lord 02:26 For surely the presence of the Lord 02:32 Is in this place 02:35 I can feel His mighty power 02:39 And His grace 02:43 I can hear the brush of angel's wings 02:48 I see glory on each face 02:53 Surely the presence of the Lord 03:00 Is in this place 03:05 There's a holy hush around us 03:09 As God's glory fills this place 03:15 I've touched the hem of His garment 03:20 I can almost see His face 03:25 And my heart is over flowing 03:30 With the fullness of His joy 03:36 I know without a doubt 03:40 That I have been with the Lord 03:46 For surely the presence of the Lord 03:52 Is in this place 03:54 I can feel His mighty power 03:59 And His grace 04:03 I can hear the brush of angel's wings 04:08 I see glory on each face 04:13 Surely the presence of the Lord 04:19 Is in this place 04:24 I feel the presence of the Lord in this place even now. 04:28 It's a pleasure to be with you today 04:29 and to share with you some of the songs 04:31 that God has given to me 04:33 and that the trio has been singing over the years. 04:36 People have often asked me, 04:38 "What is your favorite Lanny Wolfe song?" 04:40 And I always tell them the same thing, 04:42 I can't have one favorite if you had 700 children, 04:47 you couldn't say you had a favorite out of 700. 04:50 But I do say that there are some that are very special, 04:53 so today, we're going to choose 04:56 the top 10 special songs to the Lanny Wolfe Trio. 05:00 And there are so many and it was so hard to do 05:03 but here we go. 05:05 The one which we just finished was, of course, 05:07 in the top 10 05:08 and it's very special I was written. 05:10 And the fact that it's blessed so many people 05:13 all over the world. 05:14 This second song in the top 10 came about 05:17 when the trio was stopping at Stuckey's 05:20 for gas and pecans, 05:21 walked by a rack that had wood plaques. 05:24 And this one wood plaque caught my eyes simply said, 05:27 funny how I keep falling in love with you 05:29 over and over again. 05:31 And when I saw that plaque, it just arrested my attention, 05:35 I took my dollar out of the pocket, 05:37 paid for it at the counter, 05:39 got my moneys back many, many times over. 05:42 And the Lord just gave me a moment of truth with... 05:46 I keep falling in love with Him 05:49 Over and over and over and over again 05:54 I keep falling in love with Him 05:57 Over and over and over and over again 06:02 He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by 06:07 Oh what a love between my Lord and I 06:11 Just keep falling in love with Him 06:13 Over and over and over and over again 06:19 When I first fell in love with Jesus 06:23 I gave Him all my heart 06:27 And I thought I couldn't love Him more 06:31 Than I did right at the start 06:34 But now I look back over the mountains 06:38 And the valleys where we've been 06:42 And it makes me know I love Him so much 06:46 More than I did then 06:49 And I keep falling in love with Him 06:52 Over and over and over and over again 06:57 I keep falling in love with Him 07:00 Over and over and over and over again 07:05 He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by 07:10 Oh what a love between my Lord and I 07:13 Just keep falling in love with Him 07:16 Over and over and over and over again 07:21 There's a hand that I hold on to 07:25 Through each valley and each trial 07:29 There's a shoulder that I lean upon 07:33 As I face another mile 07:37 There's a love that I can depend on 07:40 It's fresh and new each day 07:44 And with that my heart is over flowing 07:48 That is why I sing 07:51 I keep falling in love with Him 07:54 Over and over and over and over again 07:59 I keep falling in love with Him 08:02 Over and over and over and over again 08:07 He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by 08:12 Oh what a love between my Lord and I 08:15 Just keep falling in love with Him 08:17 Over and over 08:19 and over and over again 08:26 Well, either we're singing that song faster now, 08:31 or we're running out of breath then we first got this song. 08:35 That's been our favorite of ours over the years. 08:38 Marietta, if you had to choose one, it might be... 08:42 Well, the first one that was my favorite 08:45 and it was my favorite for a long time. 08:48 And it's still one of my favorites 08:49 but you really can't pick just one, 08:52 was the song you wrote when you were 17 or 18. 08:55 One of the very first songs that the Lord gave to you 08:59 and it says only Jesus can satisfy your soul. 09:05 And I feel like God gave that song to you 09:08 at that time in your life. 09:09 You were getting ready to go into a higher state university. 09:13 You were getting ready to start on your path of life 09:16 that you had thought you wanted to go down. 09:20 Thought I was gonna be an architect. 09:22 But then God wanted to drop this into your heart 09:25 and let you know that, "No matter where you go, 09:29 where this road takes you, 09:31 you've got to remember that 09:33 I'm the only one that can satisfy your soul." 09:37 You might get distracted with some of the things 09:39 that this world has to offer, 09:40 and especially in our colleges today 09:42 our young people are just so threatened 09:44 by all of the voices that are speaking to them 09:49 that are basically from the gates of hell, 09:53 and they can get so confused. 09:55 But God let you know right then, 09:58 "I'm the only one that can satisfy your soul." 10:01 And he'd stayed with you all the way through your life 10:05 and it's a song that's very simple 10:07 and it's very easy to witness to somebody and just tell them. 10:11 The world will try to satisfy 10:17 That longing in your soul 10:22 You may search the wide world over 10:29 but you'll be just as before 10:34 You'll never find true satisfaction 10:42 until you've found the Lord 10:47 For only Jesus 10:51 Only He can satisfy 10:55 Your soul 10:59 Only Jesus 11:04 Can satisfy your soul 11:11 And only He can change your heart 11:17 And make you whole 11:22 He'll give you peace you never knew 11:28 Sweet love and joy 11:32 And then heaven too 11:35 For only Jesus 11:39 Can satisfy 11:43 Your soul 11:48 If you could have the fame and fortune 11:53 All the wealth you could obtain 11:58 Yet you have not Christ 12:01 Within your living here 12:06 Would be in vain 12:11 There'll come a time 12:14 When death shall call you 12:18 Riches can not help you then 12:25 So come to Jesus 12:30 For only He can satisfy 12:36 Can satisfy your soul only Jesus 12:42 Thank you, Lord 12:44 Can satisfy your soul 12:50 And only He can change your heart 12:56 And make you whole 13:02 He'll give you peace you never knew 13:08 Sweet love and joy and heaven too 13:16 Only Jesus 13:21 Can satisfy 13:26 Your soul 13:35 Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. 13:37 Thank you, Jesus. 13:39 Well, the Lord gave me this song at 17 13:40 when He did give me those chords until later. 13:45 My favorite four lines out of all gospel music would be... 13:52 the last verse of Amazing Grace 13:54 which says, "When we've been there ten thousand years, 13:58 bright shining as the sun, 14:00 we've no less days to sing His praise 14:03 than when we'd first begun." 14:05 The greatest four lines in the song writer's 14:07 estimation of all gospel when you say... 14:10 Now, if I had to choose the favorite four lines 14:13 that God has given to Lanny Wolfe, 14:15 they would be from this song the second verse the song is 14:18 "I Love You". 14:20 It's not as well known as "More than Wonderful 14:22 or Surely the Presence", 14:23 but it has my favorite four lines 14:25 and, Marietta, I'd like you to sing it now. 14:28 They say a picture paints of thousands words 14:32 And if that's true I know I could never really say 14:39 All I'd like to say 14:41 Though I painted all my life away 14:47 So I'm right back 14:50 Where I started from 14:53 At a lost for words, so I'm back to one 14:59 Very simple phrase that shall fill my days 15:06 It's simply I love You 15:13 I love you I love You 15:18 Lord, I love You 15:22 What more can I say 15:25 But that I really love You 15:31 And I will try to live my life 15:35 So that it says You too 15:40 I love You 15:43 I love You I really love You 15:48 Let's sing it again. 15:50 I love You I love You 15:53 Lord, I love You 15:57 What more can I say 16:00 But that I really love You 16:06 And I will try to live my life 16:10 So that it says You too 16:15 I love You I love You 16:19 I really love You 16:24 And another favorite. 16:26 Jesus, we crown You with praise 16:33 Jesus, we crown You with praise 16:41 We love and adore You 16:46 Bow down before You 16:50 Jesus, we crown You 16:54 With praise 16:58 Jesus, we crown You with praise 17:06 Jesus, we crown You with praise 17:14 We love and adore You 17:18 Bow down before You 17:23 Jesus, we crown You 17:27 With praise 17:33 We couldn't have a top 10 Lanny Wolfe songs 17:36 without the next song. 17:38 We may not get to all 10 in this program. 17:40 So if we don't get to all 10, 17:41 we'll pick up what we didn't get in this one 17:44 later on another program. 17:46 This song was so special just because of how it was born. 17:51 I went to the Benson Company with enough songs 17:53 for two second coming musicals. 17:55 They shot that down real fast, 17:56 the president of the Benson Company said, 17:58 "Churches are not gonna do second coming, 18:00 they do Christmas. 18:02 So write a song about Isaiah 9:6." 18:04 I did, brought it back, he said, 18:08 "Lanny, I don't think we should put in the musical." 18:10 And further more I quote Bob MacKenzie, 18:14 God rest his soul. 18:18 "Lanny, you can write a better song." 18:19 I begged, "Bob, please let us put it in the musical." 18:22 He finally decided to let us put in the musical. 18:25 I said, let's have Sandi Patty 18:27 and Larnelle Harris come together and do it. 18:29 They weren't even in the studio at the same time 18:32 and when they went to mix this down in the sound room. 18:35 Wow, anointing, anointing. 18:39 They sang at the Praise Gathering 18:41 and Thanksgiving in the following February, 18:44 I believe they got a Grammy for their performance, 18:47 in April they got song of the year, 18:49 I got song writer of the year. 18:51 And the lesson that I learned was 18:54 when God gives you a gift whatever it is, 18:58 I'm a song writer. 18:59 Whatever your gift is, 19:01 when God gives that to you, you protect it. 19:03 Remember, the angel came to Joseph and said, 19:06 "Don't go back the way you came, go back... 19:08 Heaven was protecting the child, 19:10 you protect your child. 19:11 I protected my child, please, let us put it on the musical. 19:15 So the same person that assigned the song 19:20 easily became the heired to aborted. 19:23 I had to protect the child. The rest is history. 19:27 You know it, I'm not Larnelle Harris. 19:30 I'm not saying any bad. So get over it. 19:33 This is the way you can sing with us at home. 19:36 He's more wonderful than my mind can conceive 19:41 He's more wonderful than my heart can believe 19:46 He goes beyond my highest hopes 19:49 And fondest dreams 19:55 He's everything that my soul ever longed for 20:02 Everything He's promised and so much more 20:08 More than amazing More than marvelous 20:13 More than miraculous could ever be 20:18 He's more than wonderful 20:22 That's what Jesus is to me 20:29 He's everything that my soul ever longed for 20:36 Everything He's promised and so much more 20:41 More than amazing More than marvelous 20:47 More than miraculous could ever be 20:52 He's more than wonderful 20:56 That's what Jesus is to me 21:04 And the lesson that I learned from that was 21:07 had I got my way 21:09 and had the Benson Company done their second coming musical, 21:12 the song More than Wonderful would never have been assigned, 21:16 it would never have been written, 21:18 it would have never gotten a Grammy or Dove, 21:20 so God knows what He is doing. 21:23 We just have to be... 21:24 We have to be careful and make sure 21:25 we get in the wagon and fasten the seatbelt 21:28 but let Him pull the wagon. 21:29 Right. 21:31 Dave, any favorite on your part? 21:35 Well, I think my favorite would be a song that's... 21:39 One that I wrote. Right. 21:42 Jesus will be what makes it heaven for me. 21:46 And, you know, the walls of jasper 21:50 and the streets of gold, it's gonna be awesome. 21:56 But Jesus is what's gonna make it heaven for all of us. 22:03 Sung at many funerals, one of my favorite, 22:06 probably my most favorite song, it says... 22:09 Well, I've heard of, it's on land that, 22:15 It's wondrously fair 22:20 They say that its splendor 22:25 Is far beyond compare! 22:30 In that place that's called Heaven 22:36 My soul longs to be 22:40 For where Jesus is 22:45 It will be Heaven for me 22:51 Heaven for me 22:55 Heaven for me 22:59 Yes, Jesus will be 23:03 What makes it Heaven for me 23:08 All its beauty and wonders 23:13 I'm longing to see 23:17 But Jesus will be 23:21 What makes it Heaven for me 23:29 Now, if walls there weren't jasper 23:34 And if streets were not gold 23:39 If mansions would crumble 23:43 And if folks still grew old 23:48 Still I'd see everything 23:54 I've been longing to see 23:59 For if Jesus is there 24:03 It will be heaven for me! 24:09 Heaven for me 24:14 Heaven for me 24:18 Jesus will be 24:22 What makes it Heaven for me 24:27 All its beauty and wonders 24:32 I'm longing to see 24:36 But Jesus will be 24:40 What makes it Heaven for me 24:45 Jesus will be 24:48 What makes it Heaven for me 24:54 Jesus will be 24:58 What makes it Heaven for me 25:03 Heaven for me 25:12 Hallelujah. Thank you for that blessing. 25:15 Well, we sang it at my father's funeral, 25:18 and we sang it at my mother's funeral, 25:20 and so many folks 25:23 across the land have 25:25 requested that be sung at their funeral 25:27 because it's such a wonderful hope. 25:29 The hope is not streets of gold, 25:31 it's not all that stuff that, that is a backdrop. 25:35 It's all a backdrop to Jesus who will make it heaven. 25:40 The next song... 25:42 I don't know if you can pan over here, 25:44 this is the trio singing at the Dove awards 25:48 and we had three Lanny Wolfe songs 25:51 in the top 10 nominated that year. 25:54 One of them was "Greater is He", 25:56 and we were singing it there. 25:58 The Downings kind of made it very popular 26:00 and Oral Roberts used it as official closing song 26:04 six years on 120 stations simply "Greater is He". 26:14 Greater is He that is in me 26:18 Greater is He that is in me 26:21 Greater is He that is in me 26:24 Than He that is in the world 26:28 Satan's like a roaring lion roaming to and fro 26:34 Seeking whom he may devour, the Bible tells me so 26:41 Many souls have been his prey to fall in some weak hour 26:48 But God has promised us today 26:51 His overcoming power 26:55 Greater is He that is in me 26:58 Greater is He that is in me 27:01 Greater is He that is in me 27:04 Than He that is in the world 27:08 On the day of Pentecost a rushing, mighty wind 27:14 Blew into the upper room and baptized all of them 27:21 With the power greater than any earthly foe 27:27 And I'm so glad I've got it, too 27:30 I'm gonna let the whole world know 27:34 Greater is He that is in me 27:37 Greater is He that is in me 27:40 Greater is He that is in me 27:43 Than He that is in the world 27:45 One more time. 27:46 Greater is He that is in me 27:49 Greater is He that is in me 27:52 Greater is He that is in me 27:55 Than He that is in the world. 28:00 All of that God is greater. 28:02 We're gonna leave the Downings do that. 28:06 One of my very favorite songs in the top 10 28:09 would have to be 28:12 a song that has blessed so many people. 28:16 I was preaching at a college midweek service. 28:20 And I'll never forget, I poured my heart out, 28:25 I expected to have the whole student body come 28:27 and travail at the altar, they didn't do that. 28:32 They were so used to going downstairs 28:36 for hamburgers and refreshments after the service. 28:39 So finished my sermon, 28:41 they came and did what I think would be like a... 28:46 Just did a patty cake prayer, "Now I lay me down to sleep." 28:50 So they were just there, 28:51 just a few minutes and got up and left in. 28:54 I was so crushed because they didn't get my sermon. 28:58 So I went under the grand piano 29:00 and it was there that God gave me 29:03 the song whatever it takes. 29:06 And the amazing thing that I understand years later 29:13 is the fact that had the students 29:15 gotten my sermon, 29:18 the world would never have gotten this song. 29:21 And so many people that have been touched by this 29:23 would never have received this song had I got my way. 29:29 My way was to preach my sermon, 29:31 they were supposed to come and just have a, 29:34 you know, an hour of prayer meeting 29:35 at the end of my sermon. 29:36 I've learned over the years to trust God, 29:39 and when things happen that we want to think are negative. 29:42 So many times 29:43 they're not really negative in God's economy. 29:46 One lady from Illinois, she wrote and she said, 29:50 "My husband is electrician, 29:52 he got electrocuted on the pole." 29:55 The doctor said that if we would live, 29:57 he would be just a vegetable at best. 30:00 She said this coming Sunday, 30:02 he's going to go to church and he's going to sing, 30:05 "Take the dearest things to me if that's how it must be". 30:08 So many people had life changing events 30:12 that they have this song as a backdrop. 30:15 So, Marietta, I'd like for you to sing the first verse 30:17 whatever it takes. 30:21 There's a voice calling me 30:25 From an old rugged tree 30:30 And it whispers 30:33 "Draw closer to me 30:39 Leave this world far behind 30:44 There are new heights to climb 30:48 And a new place in me you will find" 31:00 In this song, God gave Lanny 31:04 the second and third verse and the chorus. 31:10 All that you had talked about take the dearest thing, 31:13 you were telling God all the things 31:14 you wanted Him to do. 31:16 But we needed a way to get into 31:18 this thought of take everything Lord, I'm yours. 31:22 And so he asked me if I could get a verse for, 31:28 and the Lord did this verse, I didn't. 31:31 And so God said, He told me, the words just came, 31:37 there is a voice calling me from an old rugged tree 31:41 and it whispers. 31:46 When you get these kind of 31:48 dedications and commitments and consecrations. 31:54 You're gonna have to get to a place 31:56 where it's just you and the Lord, 31:59 you got to hear that whisper 32:01 and that's hard for a lot of people to do 32:03 to make time in their schedule to get alone with God, 32:07 and hear what He wants to tell you. 32:09 But if you want it bad enough, you want the Lord to use you, 32:14 and you want to give everything you have to Him. 32:18 We're gonna have to go to the Lord 32:21 and listen to His voice telling us. 32:24 And He said, 32:25 "I'll take you higher than you ever been 32:28 if you walk with me. 32:30 And there may be some struggles, 32:33 but if you'll go with Me through the valley, 32:37 you'll find the mountaintop. 32:40 But I just need to know that you're gonna stay there 32:43 that you'll be with Me, no matter what I bring to you." 32:47 And so, I love this song 32:50 because I get emotional when I sing it 32:52 'cause every time I sing it, I mean it. 32:54 And if you mean what you're saying, 32:57 it's a song that requires 33:03 a lot of obedience. 33:07 God reminded me of this song 33:08 when I got my diagnosis of breast cancer 33:11 five years ago. 33:13 That was my first thought 33:14 the song that I've been singing in, 33:16 whatever it takes Lord, 33:18 that's what I'll be willing to do. 33:21 And so that made that whole experience sweet, 33:25 blessed time with the Lord because I had already said, 33:29 Lord, whatever it takes, 33:31 I wanna draw closer to you, I want to be like you. 33:35 And so we went through it and I'm still saying it. 33:39 For whatever it takes 33:43 To draw closer to You, Lord 33:48 That's what 33:50 I'll be willing to do 33:56 And whatever it takes 34:01 To be more like You 34:07 That's what I'll be willing to do 34:13 Even if it takes all of this, Lord. 34:16 Take my houses and lands 34:21 Change my dreams and my plans 34:25 For I'm placing 34:27 My whole life in your hands 34:34 And if you call me today 34:37 To a land faraway 34:41 Lord, I'll go 34:45 And your will obey 34:50 She was a black lady, 51 years of age. 34:54 God caught her up and said, 34:56 "Take your toys, sell them and go to Jamaica." 35:00 She said, "God, you've got the wrong number, 35:03 you've got the wrong caller. 35:05 I'm 51 years old, I can't..." 35:07 And God said, "Sell your toys, 35:09 and go to Jamaica and start an orphanage." 35:14 She obeyed. Thank you, Lord. 35:15 That's what it takes. 35:17 She sold her toys, went to Jamaica, 35:19 and she went to the hospital 35:21 and there were babies in the windowsill, 35:23 puss in their eyes, 35:25 they were going to die by 4 o'clock in the afternoon. 35:28 She said, "Give me the babies, 35:29 God sent me here to start an orphanage." 35:31 They said, "Ma'am, we can't do this, 35:33 come back on Monday, and we'll see what we can do." 35:36 She gathered people together and they got beds 35:39 and they got clothes over the weekend. 35:41 She went back on Monday and she said, 35:43 "Where are the babies? 35:45 I'm here for the babies." 35:46 They gathered children out of the windowsills. 35:51 They were gonna die by afternoon. 35:54 Gave them to her, she started an orphanage. 35:58 Today, she has an orphanage of over 250 children. 36:02 She has over a 100 ministers that look up to her. 36:05 That's because she said, "Take my houses and lands." 36:10 And you may remember the three eight-year old boys, 36:14 West Memphis, Arkansas 36:16 that were killed by supposedly teenagers 36:19 that were in witchcraft. 36:21 One of the fathers of one of the eight-year boys 36:25 stood over the coffin of his eight year old child 36:30 and said, "Take the dearest thing to me." 36:33 Marietta, would you sing that? 36:35 This is the hardest part. 36:37 Take the dearest things to me 36:41 If that's how it must be 36:47 To draw me closer 36:52 To Thee 36:56 Let the disappointments come 37:00 Lonely days without the sun 37:04 If through sorrow 37:08 More like You I'll become 37:14 Whatever it takes. 37:16 For whatever it takes 37:21 To draw closer to You, Lord 37:26 That's what I'll be willing to do 37:34 And whatever it takes 37:38 To be more like You 37:43 That's what 37:45 I'll be willing to do 37:52 I'll trade sunshine for rain 37:57 Comfort for pain 38:01 That's what I'll be willing to do 38:09 For whatever it takes 38:13 For my will to break 38:18 Then that's what 38:20 I'll be willing to do 38:27 I'll trade sunshine for rain 38:32 Comfort for pain 38:36 That's what I'll be willing to do 38:43 For whatever it takes 38:48 For my will to break 38:53 That's what I'll be willing to do 39:11 Wow, so many people have said that they couldn't sing that. 39:16 They weren't ready to sing it 39:18 because they couldn't really 39:20 mean the words that were in the song. 39:22 But I'm so glad you gave me the song, Lord, 39:24 because it is ministered to 39:26 so many people all over the world. 39:28 I was sitting at the piano on a Sunday morning 9:30 39:33 and God just dropped a phrase into my heart. 39:38 Now a lot of songs God gives me 39:40 are 95% God and 5% Lanny. 39:45 Some are 95% Lanny, 5% God. 39:50 I know when God is speaking to me 39:52 because He uses some verbiage 39:55 that Lanny Wolfe doesn't always think, 39:57 and was the case in this song, 39:59 because it has the phrase 40:01 "Jesus be the Lord of all, the kingdoms of my heart". 40:04 I would not have thought that, that was a God thought. 40:07 And so Jesus be the Lord of all 40:11 snuck in on the tail end 40:14 of these top 10 songs and one of my favorite. 40:20 In my heart are kingdoms 40:24 Of a world that's all my own 40:30 Kingdoms that are only seen 40:34 By myself and God alone 40:40 In the past when I tried to rule my world 40:46 It just seemed to fall apart 40:51 So, please Jesus be 40:57 The Lord of all 41:00 The kingdoms of my heart 41:08 Jesus be the Lord of all 41:14 Jesus be the Lord of all 41:21 Jesus be the Lord of all 41:27 The kingdoms of my heart 41:34 I guess I only fooled myself 41:38 For I said I had yielded it all 41:44 But in a secret corner of my heart 41:48 Was a kingdom that did not fall 41:53 But I surrender now 41:57 Make my heart Your throne 42:01 Rule its kingdoms great and small 42:08 For if You're not Lord 42:13 Of everything 42:16 Then You're not Lord at all! 42:24 Jesus I surrender all 42:30 Jesus I surrender all 42:37 Jesus I surrender all 42:43 The kingdoms of my heart 42:48 Jesus be the Lord of... 42:49 Jesus be the Lord of all 42:55 Jesus be the Lord of all 43:02 Jesus be the Lord of all 43:08 The kingdoms of my heart 43:14 For if You're not Lord 43:18 Of everything 43:21 Then You're not Lord 43:26 At all! 43:35 What a special song. 43:39 Well, some of the songs that didn't make the top ten list, 43:44 you might send in some of yours that are special to you. 43:48 "One day too late", remember that song. 43:51 That was another song that 43:53 our producer Bob MacKenzie thought was too negative, 43:56 did not want us to record it, and it just so happened 44:00 and it ended up on the top 10 radio list, 44:03 for I don't know how many weeks 44:05 because it resonated with people. 44:06 There is a message there that people responded 44:09 to praise His holy name from Beethoven. 44:21 Pathetique Sonata Opus 13 number 2 44:24 and so I co-wrote with Beethoven, 44:27 so that will be on a different program, 44:29 it didn't make the top 10 list, "My house is full". 44:46 My house is full 44:50 But my field is empty 44:55 Who will go and work for Me today 45:02 It seems my children all want to stay 45:09 Around my table 45:12 But no one wants to work 45:16 In my field 45:22 No one wants to work 45:26 In my field 45:31 So we didn't really sing that today 45:34 because it's not on the top 10, 45:35 we just kind of unofficially put it in. 45:39 There is just no place like home, 45:42 very special song, precious blood. 45:53 We'll do that on another program. 45:57 Other songs that were trying to make the top 10 list, 46:00 "In everything give thanks," very special song. 46:03 And one that I really like a lot... 46:07 I love Him too much 46:11 To fail Him now 46:15 Too much to break my vow 46:22 For I promised the Lord that I would make it somehow 46:30 And now I love Him too much 46:35 To fail Him now 46:41 Unofficial it's not the top 10. 46:45 More than ever before 46:49 Lord, I love You 46:54 More than ever before 46:58 Lord, I need You 47:02 More than ever before 47:06 I've got to tell You 47:11 I love You now 47:14 More than ever before 47:23 He likes to give you songs 47:24 that talk about how much we love Him, 47:28 how much we want to do for Him, 47:31 and how much we want to see Him. 47:34 And they're just... 47:36 We can't say it's my favorite song 47:39 because God gives so many of these 47:41 and if they're from God, they're all good. 47:43 I think God gave me that song 47:45 on the way to Brooklyn Tab one day. 47:46 And just God interrupted and said, 47:48 "By the way here's a little course 47:49 I need for you to teach them." 47:51 Then they recorded it, "Seeking for me" 47:53 one of Marietta's favorite but didn't make the list and... 48:04 Oh, yes, for God so loved the world. 48:07 For God so loved the world 48:09 that He gave His only begotten Son, 48:11 and God tricked me on this because He gave me the music, 48:15 while I was just playing under the pastor 48:17 in a two week revival and I went to find the words, 48:20 I couldn't find any words, except John 3:16. 48:25 And so here I am arguing with God. 48:27 Yes, I tried to argue with God, 48:29 said, "God, I can't do John 3:16 48:31 'cause so many other people have already written it." 48:35 God said, "John 3:16." 48:38 So I taught that to James Cleveland 48:39 Gospel Music Workshop of America. 48:41 Fifteen hundred voice choir, oh, my Lord, have mercy. 48:45 I thought I was in heaven it was so gorgeous, so fabulous. 48:49 So God won out on that. 48:52 Now the last song on the top 10 list... 48:56 For today. For today, yes. 48:59 So what I'm gonna do is 49:03 I'm going to tell you how God gave me this song 49:09 because it always important, 49:11 without the story then this song isn't born. 49:15 Her name is Loretta Bernard, 49:16 and she was a missionary to Korea, 49:20 she and her husband and children for many years. 49:23 And she relays the story 49:26 that there was a day that she was so sick, 49:31 that she couldn't even pray for herself. 49:34 Have you been there where you just feel like, 49:36 I can't even pray for myself? 49:39 When Loretta Bernard came back to the States 49:41 doing work to gather monies to go back. 49:45 She was at a church in Michigan and a dear sister came to her 49:49 and said, "Sister Bernard, 49:51 what was the day that you were talking about 49:54 when you were so sick 49:55 that you couldn't even pray for yourself?" 49:57 Sister Bernard told her the date and the sister said, 50:02 "That was the very night 50:06 that God woke me up 50:07 in the middle of the night and said, 50:09 'Get out of bed and pray for Loretta Bernard.'" 50:15 Halfway around the world and God wakes up a sister 50:19 because somebody halfway around the world is in trouble, 50:23 that's the God we serve. 50:25 And so because Sister Bernard 50:30 was relaying this testimony, 50:33 I heard the testimony, 50:35 and when I heard the testimony God gave me the song, 50:40 "Someone is praying for you". 50:41 So, remember, many times God does things in our life. 50:46 God does wonderful things for us in our life, 50:49 but we need to tell, we need to tell it. 50:51 The world needs to hear it 50:53 because God may be wanting a song to be born 50:57 out of your testimony. 50:59 "Someone is praying for you". 51:09 Have the clouds around you gathered 51:14 In the midst of the storm 51:19 Is your ship tossed and battered 51:24 Are you wearied and worn 51:29 Don't lose hope 51:31 Someone's praying for you this very day 51:38 And peace be still 51:41 Is already on the way 51:49 Someone is praying 51:54 For you 51:59 Someone is praying 52:03 For you 52:07 So when it seems you're all alone 52:12 And your heart will break in two 52:17 Remember someone is praying 52:23 For you 52:29 When it seems that you're praying 52:34 Until your strength is all gone 52:40 And your tears fall like raindrops 52:46 All the day long 52:51 Jesus cares and He knows 52:55 just how much you can bear 53:00 He'll speak your name 53:04 to someone in prayer 53:11 Yeah, Someone 53:13 Is praying for you 53:18 Just remember, 53:20 someone is praying for you 53:27 So when it seems you're all alone 53:32 And your heart would break in two 53:37 Remember someone 53:40 Is praying for you 53:46 Someone is praying for you right now. 53:50 We are praying for you. 53:52 3ABN is praying for you. 53:55 Saints around the world are praying for people 53:59 who are being touched by this ministry. 54:02 And God will even tell someone your name. 54:06 We don't have to know it, but He knows 54:08 who it is that is calling out to him that with their heart, 54:12 they're trying to cry to you. 54:15 And so we wanna pray right now 54:18 and ask God to meet all the needs 54:21 that He knows about today. 54:23 Lord, we thank You for this time 54:25 that we've been able to share the wonderful songs 54:29 that You have given and that You have blessed down 54:32 through the years. 54:33 We thank You, Lord, for Your Word 54:36 that stands forever. 54:38 We thank You, Lord, for the John 3:16 54:41 and all the scriptures 54:42 that You have given us to hold on to. 54:45 And, Lord, today You know who is watching this broadcast, 54:49 You know who has a broken heart, 54:51 You know who feel so weak 54:53 that they don't think they can make it another day, 54:56 You know those who have lost loved ones, 54:58 You know everything, Lord, 55:00 we don't know what is happening in those lives, 55:04 but we ask You, Lord, right now to intervene, 55:08 touch that sick person, 55:10 touch that lonely person that needs to find someone to love, 55:14 and someone to care for them. 55:16 Help them to reach out to You right now Lord, 55:19 and call on Your name, "Jesus, come into my heart. 55:23 Jesus, I believe that You died and You rose again, 55:27 and You did it all for me." 55:30 Lord, we pray that You would take these needs right now 55:33 in Your great big arms and touched by Your Spirit. 55:38 Amen. 55:40 Dave, would you sing that second verse again?
