00:01 Friends, as you know,
00:02 our time comes and goes too quickly often. 00:04 But we want to just reiterate 00:06 a couple of points that we feel are imperative 00:08 and important for you to know, 00:10 so that as you think about supporting Asian Aid, 00:12 you could say that this is a very worthy 00:14 and thorough organization. 00:15 I was asking Suni on the break here 00:17 about how they clear children to be a part of this program. 00:21 Reiterate that briefly for me 00:22 because sometimes people don't know 00:24 how they are gonna be involved in that process. 00:25 Yeah, John. 00:27 Once we get in a new application request 00:29 from the school or usually 00:31 which is coming from the school. 00:33 We send in our field staff 00:35 which we have about eight of them, 00:37 who walk to the particular area, 00:39 the house of the child, 00:41 verify whether the need is real or not. 00:45 Because there might be a cases 00:48 where there is much more needed 00:51 requirement by someone else. 00:54 So help is passed on to that particular person 00:56 only after verifying everything perfectly. 01:01 So that's good, 01:02 and then the other part of that, 01:03 when that's done, 01:05 then the sponsorship really kicks in, Jim. 01:06 Just mention that briefly 01:08 because we're asking for sponsorship. 01:09 Yes, there are many benefits 01:11 besides the education of the child. 01:13 It's the education of the child, 01:15 you're introducing them to Jesus, all right. 01:19 And when that child goes back to their village 01:21 with an education, it benefits the parents, 01:24 it benefits that village. 01:27 And of course then your funds are going direct 01:29 to a mission school. 01:31 But the principle of what we do is, 01:34 we take a child based on need 01:36 and we put them in an Adventist mission school. 01:39 And then, Suni, can I call you Suni? 01:44 They have a team of eight 01:46 who their job is to check that child 01:49 at least three times a year. 01:51 And we do have challenges, 01:53 poor children move on and the parents 01:56 don't tell the school. 01:58 So yes, occasionally a child, we don't know where they are, 02:02 but I can assure the viewers 02:04 that our sponsorship program does everything it can 02:08 to sponsor the child and the money goes direct 02:11 from our office to our office in India, 02:14 then direct to the school. 02:16 So over 80 percent of our funds go direct 02:19 to an Adventist mission school. 02:21 And we're proud of that. 02:23 Praise the Lord, Brenda, how quickly, 10 seconds. 02:25 Have you been transformed? 02:26 I tell you, I have and I think I left my heart in India, 02:29 and I encourage every single viewer to adopt a child, 02:33 sponsor a child from India. 02:35 Well, friends, as you know, 02:36 when the Lord comes back, 02:37 He is not gonna grade us on how much education we've had, 02:40 but we want to hear this words, 02:42 ''Well done thou good and faithful servant." 02:44 Until we see you again, 02:45 may the Lord richly bless you. |
