Yeah. 00:07:04.32\00:07:05.65 Sounds like a good fit for a place like Eden Valley. 00:07:05.69\00:07:07.92 Yeah. It really does. 00:07:07.96\00:07:09.29 I love being there. 00:07:09.32\00:07:10.66 Excellent, excellent. 00:07:10.69\00:07:12.03 Travis Laws RN. 00:07:12.06\00:07:14.60 Sir. 00:07:14.63\00:07:15.96 You are from where Travis? 00:07:16.00\00:07:17.33 I'm originally from Northern Idaho, 00:07:17.37\00:07:19.53 and I've been in Texas the last about 11 years, 00:07:19.57\00:07:24.77 before coming to Colorado. 00:07:24.81\00:07:26.68 Now how long at Eden Valley? 00:07:26.71\00:07:28.51 About nine months. 00:07:28.54\00:07:30.28 And that says it all. Everybody is all new here. 00:07:30.31\00:07:32.48 This is not the same group that was there 00:07:32.51\00:07:33.92 when I was there. 00:07:33.95\00:07:36.79 Adventist family growing up, Travis? 00:07:36.82\00:07:38.89 Kind of mixed. 00:07:38.92\00:07:40.26 And my parents were separated 00:07:40.29\00:07:41.86 and so my dad's side of the family 00:07:41.89\00:07:44.03 is the, the Adventist side, 00:07:44.06\00:07:45.93 and my mother's side of the family 00:07:45.96\00:07:47.46 are the non-Adventist sides. 00:07:47.50\00:07:49.50 I grew up with a mix 00:07:49.53\00:07:52.13 of two different worlds so to speak. 00:07:52.17\00:07:53.50 Yeah. 00:07:53.54\00:07:54.87 When did you make that decision for yourself 00:07:54.90\00:07:56.24 to follow the Lord and serve Him? 00:07:56.27\00:07:58.34 Well, I kind of, I grew up going to church. 00:07:58.37\00:08:00.98 Right after high school, 00:08:01.01\00:08:02.34 I went to Upper Columbia Academy 00:08:02.38\00:08:03.98 there, in Spangle, Washington. 00:08:04.01\00:08:05.35 And then shortly after graduating high school, 00:08:05.38\00:08:07.32 I kind of ventured away for several years so. 00:08:07.35\00:08:09.95 Little wilderness time. 00:08:09.98\00:08:11.32 Yeah, yeah, definitely sometime in the wilderness, 00:08:11.35\00:08:14.46 my life took me down some, 00:08:14.49\00:08:16.02 you know, through some poor choices 00:08:16.06\00:08:17.79 down some bad ways 00:08:17.83\00:08:19.16 and when I was about 24, 25 years old, 00:08:19.19\00:08:23.57 through much prayer, 00:08:23.60\00:08:24.93 you know, that's just another sign 00:08:24.97\00:08:26.30 of how prayer works you know. 00:08:26.33\00:08:28.60 I started feeling the Holy Spirit working, 00:08:28.64\00:08:30.51 you know, and needing to get away from, from some things 00:08:30.54\00:08:34.74 and it took me back to Texas, 00:08:34.78\00:08:38.11 and had an aunt and uncle down there 00:08:38.15\00:08:39.85 that are very dear to me and... 00:08:39.88\00:08:42.25 I was able to get a job and lead me back to school 00:08:42.28\00:08:46.86 and that's kind of what led me into nursing, 00:08:46.89\00:08:51.16 met my beautiful wife and... 00:08:51.19\00:08:53.80 So we stayed in Texas for quite a while 00:08:53.83\00:08:55.60 and, and you know the, my Christian experiences 00:08:55.63\00:09:00.50 has definitely been one of struggle 00:09:00.54\00:09:02.24 but it's an ongoing and God is very good. 00:09:02.27\00:09:05.01 Praise the Lord. 00:09:05.04\00:09:06.37 Now, an RN is a profession that is pretty portable. 00:09:06.41\00:09:09.64 You can take that almost anywhere in a country 00:09:09.68\00:09:11.61 and get a fairly decent paying job, 00:09:11.65\00:09:14.28 because that skill is needed. 00:09:14.32\00:09:17.65 What took you to Eden Valley? 00:09:17.69\00:09:20.39 Well, when I graduated from nursing school, 00:09:20.42\00:09:23.76 I took a job in the intensive care unit 00:09:23.79\00:09:26.56 in a 206 bed hospital in Denton, Texas. 00:09:26.59\00:09:29.73 I spent about six years in the ICU, 00:09:29.76\00:09:32.33 and then the last couple of years were 00:09:32.37\00:09:35.60 in the cardiac cath lab. 00:09:35.64\00:09:37.31 And when you're in traditional medicine 00:09:37.34\00:09:40.24 and Dr. Keith can probably attest to this too. 00:09:40.28\00:09:42.04 You spend a lot of time fixing symptoms 00:09:42.08\00:09:44.85 and you don't really get a chance to minister 00:09:44.88\00:09:47.45 to people's true healing. 00:09:47.48\00:09:49.98 You know, you give them medications, 00:09:50.02\00:09:51.99 you give them surgeries 00:09:52.02\00:09:54.76 and those things are good and they're fine. 00:09:54.79\00:09:56.86 But you know, we really wanted to, 00:09:56.89\00:10:01.66 to explore the options 00:10:01.70\00:10:03.03 of actually helping people get better. 00:10:03.06\00:10:05.97 And, you know, we saw a lot of the same people 00:10:06.00\00:10:09.37 coming in over and over and over again 00:10:09.40\00:10:10.74 with the same issues and so, 00:10:10.77\00:10:14.08 we had kind of got to know about lifestyle 00:10:14.11\00:10:16.41 work through some family and friends and... 00:10:16.44\00:10:20.38 We stumbled across Eden Valley 00:10:20.42\00:10:21.98 and our attention was drawn there 00:10:22.02\00:10:24.45 and there is a long story behind it. 00:10:24.49\00:10:27.06 But the Lord is good, and you know, all were, 00:10:27.09\00:10:30.19 so many doors had been shut. 00:10:30.23\00:10:31.59 You know, we had been looking for places for a while, 00:10:31.63\00:10:34.36 and every door for every place that we, 00:10:34.40\00:10:36.63 that we had tried to go to was, was shut 00:10:36.67\00:10:38.80 and with Eden Valley, it's like the floodgates just opened 00:10:38.83\00:10:41.70 everything that needed to happen happened, 00:10:41.74\00:10:45.41 you know, we had a child that was very sick. 00:10:45.44\00:10:47.68 We had the house that needed to sell. 00:10:47.71\00:10:49.44 There is so many things that needed to take place 00:10:49.48\00:10:51.71 for us to be able to go, 00:10:51.75\00:10:53.08 and it's like the Lord just lined everything up 00:10:53.11\00:10:55.12 and made it happen so. 00:10:55.15\00:10:57.75 So you found yourself, Travis, kind of moving away mentally 00:10:57.79\00:11:00.82 from traditional medicine 00:11:00.86\00:11:02.19 that wasn't to put corner phrase 00:11:02.22\00:11:04.46 is not doing it for you anymore. 00:11:04.49\00:11:06.36 Yeah, we just, you know, we wanted to find a way 00:11:06.39\00:11:08.86 to minister in the health. 00:11:08.90\00:11:12.20 I guess the health realm in a different way. 00:11:12.23\00:11:17.67 You know, a lot of people that I saw 00:11:17.71\00:11:21.24 are looking for the pill. 00:11:21.28\00:11:22.61 You know, they want the magic pill to get better, 00:11:22.64\00:11:24.81 if they don't want to really, they're not looking 00:11:24.85\00:11:27.78 to actually make the changes. 00:11:27.82\00:11:29.45 And I guess the difference with people 00:11:29.48\00:11:30.95 that come to places like Eden Valley 00:11:30.99\00:11:32.79 is these people are searching for a healthier life, 00:11:32.82\00:11:37.03 they're searching for a, you know, a cure. 00:11:37.06\00:11:40.36 Yeah. 00:11:40.40\00:11:41.73 And, you know, the natural means 00:11:41.76\00:11:44.77 that we use at Eden Valley. 00:11:44.80\00:11:47.80 You know, they work and we've seen. 00:11:47.84\00:11:51.34 I was blown away just in even in my first session there 00:11:51.37\00:11:54.11 how the results are. 00:11:54.14\00:11:56.68 It was, it was, I wasn't sure what to expect 00:11:56.71\00:11:59.21 I guess going into. Yeah. Yeah. 00:11:59.25\00:12:01.88 David and Gary, you actually do get to talk, 00:12:01.92\00:12:03.55 I'm coming to you. 00:12:03.59\00:12:05.15 We're not going to turn you into a wood armor, 00:12:05.19\00:12:07.32 I wanted to just go back, Dr. Keith, to you 00:12:07.36\00:12:09.69 something that Travis said, 00:12:09.72\00:12:11.06 this idea that in tradition medicine, 00:12:11.09\00:12:14.26 and we're not dogging tradition medicine, 00:12:14.30\00:12:16.00 just the fact that people tend to go to doctor, 00:12:16.03\00:12:18.07 okay, I got this, give me a pill and I can press on. 00:12:18.10\00:12:21.30 And not really have to make any kind of systemic changes 00:12:21.34\00:12:23.81 in my lifestyle. 00:12:23.84\00:12:25.17 Just give me this pill, and I can press on. 00:12:25.21\00:12:27.81 By the time people come to Eden Valley is the... 00:12:27.84\00:12:30.98 And I use the term is the sell hard 00:12:31.01\00:12:33.88 to get them to understand that popping a pill 00:12:33.92\00:12:36.38 is not what you need. 00:12:36.42\00:12:38.12 You need to rearrange your whole mindset 00:12:38.15\00:12:39.55 in what you're doing 00:12:39.59\00:12:40.92 or is it by the time they get there, 00:12:40.96\00:12:42.79 they're kind of already predisposed to think, 00:12:42.82\00:12:45.43 maybe I need to make some changes 00:12:45.46\00:12:46.80 because this pill thing is not going to fly. 00:12:46.83\00:12:49.16 By the time, they've made their decision 00:12:49.20\00:12:51.63 and flown across, flown or driven across the country 00:12:51.67\00:12:55.87 to come to us. 00:12:55.90\00:12:57.24 They're pretty much... 00:12:57.27\00:12:59.01 They've pretty much come to that decision 00:12:59.04\00:13:02.78 that they are going to have to make a change. 00:13:02.81\00:13:05.05 Because, Travis talks and Travis spends a lot of time 00:13:05.08\00:13:08.35 on the phone, going over, 00:13:08.38\00:13:09.85 you know, what it's gonna be like 00:13:09.88\00:13:12.09 and change and... 00:13:12.12\00:13:13.72 Now some people, we had some, one family from Texas 00:13:13.76\00:13:19.43 just this last, just this month. 00:13:19.46\00:13:23.80 Two, one mother and her daughter 00:13:23.83\00:13:27.37 decided to come. 00:13:27.40\00:13:28.74 And mention that they were coming to Colorado. 00:13:28.77\00:13:31.41 And the neighbor said, 00:13:31.44\00:13:33.58 "Well, I want to go with you this way." 00:13:33.61\00:13:36.14 And so, she really didn't know where she was getting into, 00:13:36.18\00:13:40.48 but she came and she enjoyed it 00:13:40.52\00:13:42.52 and it was you know, it was fine. 00:13:42.55\00:13:46.89 It was new for him. Praise the Lord. 00:13:46.92\00:13:48.69 Now at this point, we usually go to music 00:13:48.72\00:13:50.59 but I think, I'm going to hold on the music 00:13:50.63\00:13:52.53 for just a moment 00:13:52.56\00:13:53.90 because I want to get into to two testimonies 00:13:53.93\00:13:56.33 and I don't, I don't want to run out of time. 00:13:56.36\00:13:58.97 Because we've talked about the kinds of things 00:13:59.00\00:14:01.34 that you do just a little bit. 00:14:01.37\00:14:02.94 And I need to mention, 00:14:02.97\00:14:04.61 Eden Valley seems to have a particular ability 00:14:04.64\00:14:08.24 to deal with cancer. 00:14:08.28\00:14:10.38 When I was there, that was, 00:14:10.41\00:14:12.01 I don't want to say your specialty 00:14:12.05\00:14:13.38 but certainly you got more cancer patients, 00:14:13.42\00:14:16.79 than I think any lifestyle center 00:14:16.82\00:14:18.49 that I was aware of. 00:14:18.52\00:14:19.85 Travis, is it still that way? 00:14:19.89\00:14:21.29 Yeah, we still, we still see predominately cancer. 00:14:21.32\00:14:25.23 We've got a very good aggressive cancer program. 00:14:25.26\00:14:29.33 Along with cancer though, we do treat other thing so, 00:14:29.36\00:14:32.60 we've gotten the reputation for cancer. 00:14:32.63\00:14:34.20 Yeah. 00:14:34.24\00:14:35.57 But it's important to let people know too 00:14:35.60\00:14:37.47 that there is more to it than just cancer. 00:14:37.51\00:14:39.44 We do treat the diabetes, the obesity, heart disease, 00:14:39.47\00:14:43.48 and many other, you know, depression and anxiety 00:14:43.51\00:14:45.95 and other, other health issues. 00:14:45.98\00:14:47.32 So you do it all. We do it all. 00:14:47.35\00:14:48.68 Yeah, but you've gotten reputation. 00:14:48.72\00:14:50.05 And well, deserved as a place that deals successfully dare 00:14:50.09\00:14:53.92 I say with cancer. God be praised. 00:14:53.96\00:14:56.66 And you can't run from that, 00:14:56.69\00:14:58.03 I mean you can't run from your record, 00:14:58.06\00:14:59.39 you've got to run on it so, does happen. 00:14:59.43\00:15:01.10 Praise God. 00:15:01.13\00:15:02.46 All right, I want to I want to leave you to professionals 00:15:02.50\00:15:04.60 for just a moment and talk with David and Gary. 00:15:04.63\00:15:09.40 Maybe I'll go with David first. 00:15:09.44\00:15:12.91 Give me, just a little background of 00:15:12.94\00:15:16.04 why you ended up at Eden Valley, 00:15:16.08\00:15:19.08 and what your lifestyle was like before. 00:15:19.11\00:15:21.98 And what medical condition kind of caused you to go there? 00:15:22.02\00:15:25.92 Okay, well, first of all, 00:15:25.95\00:15:29.69 I was diagnosed with abdominal mesothelioma cancer. 00:15:29.72\00:15:35.66 Can I just say this. 00:15:35.70\00:15:37.07 He's got a great voice, you ought to do announcing... 00:15:37.10\00:15:39.10 I'm telling, we all tell him radio voice. 00:15:39.13\00:15:41.90 He's got a radio voice. 00:15:41.94\00:15:43.47 You can tell ad salesman, that's a great voice. 00:15:43.51\00:15:45.94 I've been a ham radio operators license since 1952, 00:15:45.97\00:15:49.68 60 some years, so maybe that's where it comes from, 00:15:49.71\00:15:52.58 I don't know. Yeah. 00:15:52.61\00:15:53.95 But anyway, I was first diagnosed a year ago 00:15:53.98\00:15:56.25 last January. 00:15:56.28\00:15:57.72 And I know, I told my family doctor. 00:15:57.75\00:16:02.56 There is something inside of me that just shouldn't be there. 00:16:02.59\00:16:05.09 So, the next day he had me lined up with a CT CAT scan. 00:16:05.13\00:16:11.77 And that's when they noticed the tumors. 00:16:11.80\00:16:15.47 So biopsy confirmed that it was indeed 00:16:15.50\00:16:20.24 a rare mesothelioma cancer, 00:16:20.28\00:16:24.98 which there is only two to three hundred cases a year 00:16:25.01\00:16:28.08 in United States. 00:16:28.12\00:16:29.45 Isn't mesotheliom triggered by asbestos 00:16:29.48\00:16:32.95 or that they have any connection with asbestos. 00:16:32.99\00:16:35.12 Yeah, therefore, 00:16:35.16\00:16:36.49 for that reason I'll never be cured 00:16:36.52\00:16:37.89 because I've got asbestos in my body. 00:16:37.93\00:16:41.20 But I can be in remission. 00:16:41.23\00:16:44.83 And, you know, 00:16:44.87\00:16:46.30 and I'm functioning perfectly fine right now, 00:16:46.33\00:16:49.24 with tumors in my abdomen. 00:16:49.27\00:16:50.64 I have one on above my liver, 00:16:50.67\00:16:52.81 and I have a couple over on this side here... 00:16:52.84\00:16:54.51 Now, let me ask you this. 00:16:54.54\00:16:56.11 How was your general health prior to this, 00:16:56.14\00:16:58.58 where you eating, living pretty good 00:16:58.61\00:17:00.52 or how was your general health? 00:17:00.55\00:17:01.88 Well, I was a vegetarian 00:17:01.92\00:17:03.28 and tried every way possible to be a vegan. 00:17:03.32\00:17:06.99 But once in a while, some ice cream or some pizza 00:17:07.02\00:17:09.49 would slip in there, you know, 00:17:09.52\00:17:11.23 but... 00:17:11.26\00:17:13.33 I got to nip at and I was 60 00:17:13.36\00:17:15.30 some pounds heavier than I am now. 00:17:15.33\00:17:17.80 I wouldn't recommend the weight loss program, 00:17:17.83\00:17:20.34 but it was good that I lost the weight so. 00:17:20.37\00:17:23.17 But anyway... 00:17:23.20\00:17:24.54 You wouldn't recommend mesothelioma? 00:17:24.57\00:17:26.47 No, I wouldn't recommend that as a means of losing weight 00:17:26.51\00:17:29.78 by any means. 00:17:29.81\00:17:32.25 But I took great stalk in Philippians 4:13. 00:17:32.28\00:17:38.65 "I can do all things with Christ 00:17:38.69\00:17:40.26 who strengthened me." 00:17:40.29\00:17:42.19 So I went 00:17:42.22\00:17:43.56 with all of the traditional medical regimes, 00:17:43.59\00:17:47.80 all the things that you're supposed to do 00:17:47.83\00:17:51.10 when you have cancer, 00:17:51.13\00:17:52.47 you know, when I had these six rounds 00:17:52.50\00:17:54.67 of high potent chemotherapy combined 00:17:54.70\00:18:00.34 with two maintenance regimens after that. 00:18:00.38\00:18:04.25 How did your body respond to the chemo? 00:18:04.28\00:18:07.28 Not well at all. I wound up in the hospital. 00:18:07.32\00:18:09.88 They thought I was going to die. 00:18:09.92\00:18:11.25 I was in there 00:18:11.29\00:18:14.12 during most of the month of March year ago. 00:18:14.16\00:18:18.39 And my oncologist, I ask him, what's my... 00:18:18.46\00:18:22.40 How long I got do you think? 00:18:22.43\00:18:23.77 And he said, "Probably about 12 months." 00:18:23.80\00:18:25.97 He told me that in February. 00:18:26.00\00:18:28.47 So I have proved him wrong. 00:18:28.50\00:18:30.41 Amen. Praise the Lord. 00:18:30.44\00:18:31.94 But anyway the treatment, 00:18:31.97\00:18:38.71 actually, during while I was having the treatment, 00:18:38.75\00:18:41.68 the cancer actually metastasized 00:18:41.72\00:18:43.65 into my diaphragm. 00:18:43.69\00:18:46.82 Now, I had found, I did a lot of research. 00:18:46.86\00:18:49.29 I couldn't even spell mesothelioma, 00:18:49.32\00:18:51.66 when I started. 00:18:51.69\00:18:53.29 But I started, I hit the ground running, 00:18:53.33\00:18:55.66 and I started doing things that I thought I could do 00:18:55.70\00:18:58.33 even before I had an oncologist to try to possibly 00:18:58.37\00:19:04.21 help the the situation of getting rid of the cancer. 00:19:04.24\00:19:06.41 I went on oxygen every night. 00:19:06.44\00:19:08.64 For example, I bought an oxygen concentrator 00:19:08.68\00:19:11.58 and some things like that 00:19:11.61\00:19:12.95 and tried to limit sweets, sugars and so on. 00:19:12.98\00:19:16.65 But anyway, to make a long story short, 00:19:16.69\00:19:22.99 God was closing the doors on traditional treatment. 00:19:23.02\00:19:27.33 I had connected up with the surgeon in Omaha, 00:19:27.36\00:19:32.10 that does a life saving medical surgical procedure 00:19:32.13\00:19:38.07 in which they go in, and they remove 00:19:38.11\00:19:39.71 all of the cancer from your abdomen. 00:19:39.74\00:19:42.04 Then they close you up with a couple of tubes 00:19:42.08\00:19:44.61 coming out of the incision and they pump 00:19:44.65\00:19:47.22 a 109 degree Fahrenheit saline solution of water 00:19:47.25\00:19:51.25 with the chemo throughout your abdominal cavity 00:19:51.29\00:19:54.32 for 60 to 90 minutes. 00:19:54.36\00:19:56.69 And the purpose of this 00:19:56.73\00:19:58.06 is to kill off residual cancer cells 00:19:58.09\00:20:01.66 that might be floating around, 00:20:01.70\00:20:03.33 they may be hadn't attached to the blood source yet 00:20:03.37\00:20:06.00 or any peripheral cells that might have been missed 00:20:06.03\00:20:09.30 in the surgical procedure. 00:20:09.34\00:20:12.07 So I know, Dr. Logis' nurse in Omaha, they said, 00:20:12.11\00:20:15.38 "We can in a perfect world we can virtually guarantee you 00:20:15.41\00:20:18.55 five to seven years longevity with this procedure." 00:20:18.58\00:20:21.92 She said, "We got patients that have been alive 19 years 00:20:21.95\00:20:25.62 since the procedure." 00:20:25.65\00:20:27.39 So that sounded pretty good. 00:20:27.42\00:20:28.76 I want back to Omaha, they did another CT scan and they said, 00:20:28.79\00:20:32.59 "We're sorry to inform you but you were no longer 00:20:32.63\00:20:34.83 a candidate for surgery." 00:20:34.86\00:20:37.43 Because it did metastasized into my diaphragm. 00:20:37.47\00:20:41.24 The doctor said, 00:20:41.27\00:20:42.60 "We have to rebuild so much of your diaphragm 00:20:42.64\00:20:45.71 using muscle from your leg, muscle from so on." 00:20:45.74\00:20:48.84 And he says, "There is a chance we could get into that nerve, 00:20:48.88\00:20:51.28 and if we did, you would be on a respiratory 00:20:51.31\00:20:54.18 the rest of your life." 00:20:54.22\00:20:55.55 And he says, "Neither one of us want that." 00:20:55.58\00:20:57.92 So that was no longer an option. 00:20:57.95\00:21:01.96 It turned out that clinical studies 00:21:01.99\00:21:05.16 for one reason or another. 00:21:05.19\00:21:06.53 The door was closed on those. 00:21:06.56\00:21:08.83 We had Eden Valley in mind. 00:21:08.86\00:21:10.43 We fully intended to go to Eden Valley 00:21:10.47\00:21:12.90 after my surgery to recuperate there 00:21:12.93\00:21:15.70 and to just take what Eden Valley had to offer 00:21:15.74\00:21:19.77 which was plenty. 00:21:19.81\00:21:21.78 But they say, as it was, 00:21:21.81\00:21:23.14 we went to Eden Valley a little sooner than we thought 00:21:23.18\00:21:25.51 'cause all of the other doors and I... 00:21:25.55\00:21:27.72 In the process I just said, you know Lord, 00:21:27.75\00:21:33.25 I put too much emphasis on the strength that I have, 00:21:33.29\00:21:36.93 which has not worked. 00:21:36.96\00:21:38.93 So I am giving my life totally to you. 00:21:38.96\00:21:42.66 If you want to take me, I am 81 years old. 00:21:42.70\00:21:44.93 If you want to take me, that's okay. 00:21:44.97\00:21:47.54 But if you want me to stay around 00:21:47.57\00:21:49.20 and become the testimony for this test 00:21:49.24\00:21:51.37 that I've been through, 00:21:51.41\00:21:52.77 I will sing your praises till the end of the world. 00:21:52.81\00:21:54.84 Amen. 00:21:54.88\00:21:56.21 Now, let me hold you just for a second. 00:21:56.24\00:21:57.58 Dr. Keith, what kind of shape was he in when he came? 00:21:57.61\00:22:00.72 Well, he didn't has a good a color on his face 00:22:00.75\00:22:03.22 and he wouldn't... 00:22:03.25\00:22:05.49 he just weren't quite as vigorous. 00:22:05.52\00:22:09.52 He can barely walk from the car to the front door. 00:22:09.56\00:22:11.69 Yeah, I was very, very weak. Very weak. 00:22:11.73\00:22:15.03 Where you up to 60 pounds 00:22:15.06\00:22:16.43 or had you begun to come back down? 00:22:16.46\00:22:18.13 I had begun to lose most of it. 00:22:18.17\00:22:19.73 Yeah, I have lost. Yeah, the hard way. 00:22:19.77\00:22:21.10 Yeah, the hard way, yeah. 00:22:21.14\00:22:24.44 Travis, what did you see? 00:22:24.47\00:22:26.04 You know, you are the lifestyle guy 00:22:26.07\00:22:27.94 when you got a specimen coming in 00:22:27.98\00:22:30.88 not in such great shape? 00:22:30.91\00:22:32.71 Yeah, it's actually Dave's, Dave's, 00:22:32.75\00:22:35.85 I got a special place in my heart. 00:22:35.88\00:22:37.22 His first session with us was my first session 00:22:37.25\00:22:40.02 at Eden Valley. 00:22:40.06\00:22:41.46 And when he got there, he, like I said, 00:22:41.49\00:22:44.53 he was weak and he struggled. 00:22:44.56\00:22:49.26 He used the cane to get around, and he struggled 00:22:49.30\00:22:51.83 to walk from... 00:22:51.87\00:22:53.20 Going up the stairs. 00:22:53.23\00:22:54.57 Yeah, had a hard time going up the stairs, 00:22:54.60\00:22:56.04 struggled to get from the car of the front door. 00:22:56.07\00:22:57.94 And, well, I think 00:22:57.97\00:23:01.28 it was the second week of the session. 00:23:01.31\00:23:04.15 He was there for 18 days, 00:23:04.18\00:23:05.51 and the second week of the program. 00:23:05.55\00:23:07.38 We look out the window and he is walking, 00:23:07.42\00:23:09.52 walking down to breakfast, 00:23:09.55\00:23:10.89 and he's got his cane in his hand 00:23:10.92\00:23:12.25 but instead of hobbling on, he is twirling it around. 00:23:12.29\00:23:16.39 Praise God. 00:23:16.42\00:23:17.76 It was remarkable the difference that we saw 00:23:17.79\00:23:19.96 just within a couple of weeks, 00:23:20.00\00:23:21.73 and David has been through five sessions now, David? 00:23:21.76\00:23:26.03 Five sessions. Yes. Five sessions. 00:23:26.07\00:23:28.27 So, David, you... 00:23:28.30\00:23:30.21 the medical profession had pretty much 00:23:30.24\00:23:31.67 washed their hands of you 00:23:31.71\00:23:33.04 as far as just kind of, there's not much we can do. 00:23:33.07\00:23:34.41 Yes. 00:23:34.44\00:23:35.78 I will say that the chemo did do some good 00:23:35.81\00:23:37.51 because my CA 125, 00:23:37.55\00:23:39.65 which is a cancer activity marker 00:23:39.68\00:23:41.85 for the type of cancer that I have 00:23:41.88\00:23:43.95 was 519 before I took, 00:23:43.99\00:23:46.65 before I started the regimen of chemotherapy. 00:23:46.69\00:23:50.83 After I completed that in sometime 00:23:50.86\00:23:53.19 in July of last year, 00:23:53.23\00:23:56.77 they did another CA 125, and it was 120. 00:23:56.80\00:24:01.57 So it had come down significantly. 00:24:01.60\00:24:03.87 A normal person without cancer has a CA 125 marker 00:24:03.91\00:24:07.64 of 35 or less. 00:24:07.68\00:24:09.14 I see. I see. 00:24:09.18\00:24:10.51 So anyway, I want to Eden Valley. 00:24:10.55\00:24:12.61 I liked what I saw. 00:24:12.65\00:24:14.08 The people were so helpful, so knowledgeable. 00:24:14.12\00:24:18.35 You could just tell that God was there. 00:24:18.39\00:24:20.16 Praise the Lord. 00:24:20.19\00:24:21.56 And so I decide to stay on. 00:24:21.59\00:24:25.29 I went to the second session. 00:24:25.33\00:24:27.63 And I kept getting little better all the time 00:24:27.66\00:24:29.63 where I felt that I was getting better 00:24:29.66\00:24:31.00 and I was. 00:24:31.03\00:24:32.37 It is consecutively, you just lengthen the time. 00:24:32.40\00:24:33.74 Yes. Yes. 00:24:33.77\00:24:35.10 I went through three sessions up through the end of November. 00:24:35.14\00:24:41.48 At that time, I think my CA 125 was down to 101. 00:24:41.51\00:24:48.45 So I went home through the month of December. 00:24:48.48\00:24:51.29 And because of the holidays and so on, 00:24:51.32\00:24:54.22 and kept on with all of the, 00:24:54.26\00:24:56.52 doing everything that I was instructed to do 00:24:56.56\00:24:59.89 as best as I could. 00:24:59.93\00:25:01.60 And anyway, I had a chance to take a blood test there 00:25:01.63\00:25:06.00 in Wichita a very expensive blood test, 00:25:06.03\00:25:09.47 because we belong to a group 00:25:09.50\00:25:10.91 that is associated with the hospital there. 00:25:10.94\00:25:14.01 And for a few dollars more, I could get a PSA test. 00:25:14.04\00:25:18.61 So I went ahead and did that too. 00:25:18.65\00:25:20.05 And I thought it was very interesting 00:25:20.08\00:25:21.52 because my PSA for the last several years, 00:25:21.55\00:25:25.72 it's always run anywhere from 2.4 to 4.0, 00:25:25.75\00:25:29.32 which is you know suggestive that there might be a problem. 00:25:29.36\00:25:33.13 But my family doctor said, "Well, 00:25:33.16\00:25:35.06 you know, at your age 80, you know, 79, 80, 81." 00:25:35.10\00:25:39.30 He says, "Something is probably... 00:25:39.33\00:25:41.04 something else is probably gonna get you 00:25:41.07\00:25:42.67 before prostate will." 00:25:42.70\00:25:44.44 So I said, "Okay." 00:25:44.47\00:25:45.81 You know... 00:25:45.84\00:25:47.18 I took the test. 00:25:47.21\00:25:48.54 And I was astonished 00:25:48.58\00:25:49.91 because the PSA came back to 0.6. 00:25:49.94\00:25:53.75 Wow, that's a kind of numbers after you had prostate surgery, 00:25:53.78\00:25:56.65 you get those kind of numbers. 00:25:56.69\00:25:58.02 Yeah. 00:25:58.05\00:25:59.39 And the only thing I can figure 00:25:59.42\00:26:00.76 is that the fever treatments did it. 00:26:00.79\00:26:02.12 Because I went back for two more sessions 00:26:02.16\00:26:04.36 in January and February and at the end of that 00:26:04.39\00:26:07.86 I had completed 71 fever treatments. 00:26:07.90\00:26:11.13 You told me that yesterday we were talking, 00:26:11.17\00:26:13.00 I have to bow to you 00:26:13.03\00:26:14.67 as the king of the fever treatments. 00:26:14.70\00:26:17.27 I've taken a few of those things. 00:26:17.31\00:26:19.11 And I... 00:26:19.14\00:26:20.78 They do good. 00:26:20.81\00:26:22.21 But it's like no one ever says, "Wow, 00:26:22.24\00:26:26.08 I really can't wait till my next chemotherapy." 00:26:26.11\00:26:28.78 You know, you don't do that. 00:26:28.82\00:26:30.59 And very few people say, 00:26:30.62\00:26:31.95 "Well, I can't wait till my next fever treatment." 00:26:31.99\00:26:35.49 But you know that it's doing good. 00:26:35.52\00:26:38.39 I think of all of the things that stand out in my mind 00:26:38.43\00:26:42.13 about Eden Valley is the fever treatments. 00:26:42.16\00:26:44.47 You one does not forget. 00:26:44.50\00:26:45.87 And for you to take 71? 00:26:45.90\00:26:48.67 I have completed 71, yeah. 00:26:48.70\00:26:50.04 He's done his PhD this last session. 00:26:50.07\00:26:51.97 Yeah, indeed. 00:26:52.01\00:26:53.34 That's why you are a graduate fever treatment guy. 00:26:53.38\00:26:55.78 I took, I may be 14 or so. 00:26:55.81\00:26:58.11 But I just... 00:26:58.15\00:26:59.48 God bless you. 00:26:59.51\00:27:01.45 I didn't see any self respect in term 00:27:01.48\00:27:02.92 that I could live in that after 71 fever treatments. 00:27:02.95\00:27:06.52 That is amazing. 00:27:06.55\00:27:08.06 Doctor, real quick, tell us what that is? 00:27:08.09\00:27:10.96 What that fever treatment does? 00:27:10.99\00:27:12.33 And what are you seeking to accomplish by that. 00:27:12.36\00:27:13.70 Okay, and then recall that David said 00:27:13.73\00:27:16.06 probably what the oncologists were doing, 00:27:16.10\00:27:17.97 or the special surgery. 00:27:18.00\00:27:19.87 They were gonna pump his abdomen, 00:27:19.90\00:27:21.67 do the surgery 00:27:21.70\00:27:23.04 and then pump his abdomen with the chemo, 00:27:23.07\00:27:26.31 heat it to 109 degrees, 00:27:26.34\00:27:28.94 so regular medicine recognizes that temperatures like that 00:27:28.98\00:27:35.68 do kill cancer cells. 00:27:35.72\00:27:39.95 We started usually getting a hydrotherapy tank, 00:27:39.99\00:27:45.43 with the water starting usually at 110 degrees Fahrenheit, 00:27:45.46\00:27:50.13 and we monitor you and put ice on your back 00:27:50.17\00:27:56.71 and as your temperature comes up, 00:27:56.74\00:27:58.57 we put ice and cool pads on your head. 00:27:58.61\00:28:01.31 So we keep the head cool. 00:28:01.34\00:28:03.61 But our goal is to bring the body temperature up 00:28:03.65\00:28:07.45 to 104 for 20 minutes. 00:28:07.48\00:28:10.49 That's our goal. 00:28:10.52\00:28:12.39 And to do that five days a week, 00:28:12.42\00:28:14.72 so the heat does make, 00:28:14.76\00:28:18.96 does kill cancer cells and makes them more fragile 00:28:18.99\00:28:22.83 and if they don't, you know, 00:28:22.86\00:28:25.70 if they don't die then, they're gonna die soon. 00:28:25.73\00:28:30.64 It makes them more fragile, susceptible to the good, 00:28:30.67\00:28:34.01 the immune system boosting, other things 00:28:34.04\00:28:36.44 that we are doing at Eden Valley. 00:28:36.48\00:28:38.41 Now you were, David, able to hang in there 00:28:38.45\00:28:41.88 to get up to the 104. 00:28:41.92\00:28:43.55 Yes. 00:28:43.59\00:28:44.92 I think the minimal time that I've ever spent above 104 00:28:44.95\00:28:47.72 was like 25 minutes may be 00:28:47.76\00:28:51.23 and the maximum was 48 minutes above104. 00:28:51.26\00:28:54.00 Yeah. Yeah. 00:28:54.03\00:28:55.56 I used to try myself that I could hang in there 00:28:55.60\00:28:58.93 and I did. 00:28:58.97\00:29:00.30 But when I was done, you know, you lay down on the table 00:29:00.34\00:29:02.57 and you are basically comatose for the next hour, 00:29:02.60\00:29:05.21 because it does pull out of you, 00:29:05.24\00:29:06.61 you go to sleep so deep and so fast. 00:29:06.64\00:29:09.38 But you actually feel pretty good, 00:29:09.41\00:29:11.31 you know, when you, when you after you've done that. 00:29:11.35\00:29:14.02 And you know, you're doing something good for your body. 00:29:14.05\00:29:16.08 David, I want to hold just a second, and go to Gary. 00:29:16.12\00:29:18.99 Gary, where are you from? 00:29:19.02\00:29:20.62 Colorado. A Colorado guy. 00:29:20.66\00:29:23.53 Adventist? Yes. 00:29:23.56\00:29:24.89 Growing up? Yes. 00:29:24.93\00:29:26.26 Okay, tell me about what brought you to Eden Valley 00:29:26.29\00:29:29.80 before and then we'll take a look at it 00:29:29.83\00:29:31.17 what's going on right now. 00:29:31.20\00:29:33.23 Well, in '06 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. 00:29:33.27\00:29:37.34 And then went through the trauma of you know that, 00:29:37.37\00:29:41.18 when you think you are healthy person. 00:29:41.21\00:29:43.21 And so in '07 in just January of '07 I had surgery, 00:29:43.24\00:29:49.45 removed the prostate 00:29:49.48\00:29:51.42 and then became vegetarian 00:29:51.45\00:29:56.73 and also worked on vegan. 00:29:56.76\00:30:00.66 And then as progress time, 00:30:00.70\00:30:05.50 last year my PSA score went from 2 to 4 00:30:05.53\00:30:12.41 and my urologist recommended that I do radiation. 00:30:12.44\00:30:18.41 And I just didn't really want to do radiation 00:30:18.45\00:30:22.38 after studying about it and everything. 00:30:22.42\00:30:24.65 So I knew Lisa, and she recommended 00:30:24.69\00:30:27.92 that I come to Eden Valley, which was a great program. 00:30:27.96\00:30:34.23 So lifestyle wise you were pretty straight. 00:30:34.26\00:30:36.36 You are veganish vegetarian. 00:30:36.40\00:30:40.24 Right. 00:30:40.27\00:30:41.60 So that's not a factor. 00:30:41.64\00:30:45.34 You're asymptomatic, 00:30:45.37\00:30:46.84 just your numbers sort of alerted you. 00:30:46.88\00:30:50.65 Right. 00:30:50.68\00:30:52.01 Yes, and, and through the years they are from 00:30:52.05\00:30:55.78 when we became vegetarian in '07 00:30:55.82\00:31:00.39 you know, I wasn't as healthy as eating habits. 00:31:00.42\00:31:04.69 So Eden Valley really helped us to get back on track 00:31:04.73\00:31:07.86 with that, new things. 00:31:07.90\00:31:11.27 So it was really a great program 00:31:11.30\00:31:13.44 from the any standpoint. 00:31:13.47\00:31:14.80 So it was not a drastic change 00:31:14.84\00:31:17.27 as far as lifestyle is concerned for you, 00:31:17.31\00:31:19.47 just sort of an adjustment, more of a tweaking 00:31:19.51\00:31:21.78 than a radical kind of rearranging of your. 00:31:21.81\00:31:23.61 Right. Right. 00:31:23.65\00:31:26.21 And you stayed for...? 00:31:26.25\00:31:29.08 I was there for the 18 day program. 00:31:29.12\00:31:30.45 For the 18 day program. 00:31:30.49\00:31:31.82 So you did fever treatment also. 00:31:31.85\00:31:33.76 Yes I did. 00:31:33.79\00:31:36.76 I was not the king of the tank. 00:31:36.79\00:31:40.83 It is something. It is really something. 00:31:40.86\00:31:45.70 Travis, was David there when you, when you 00:31:45.73\00:31:49.07 Gary, there when you came? 00:31:49.10\00:31:51.11 Gary, yeah, he was there. 00:31:51.14\00:31:54.38 I had been there for a while now, 00:31:54.41\00:31:56.48 when Gary... 00:31:56.51\00:31:57.85 because you were there in January? 00:31:57.88\00:31:59.21 January. 00:31:59.25\00:32:00.58 Yeah, you came to the January program so. 00:32:00.62\00:32:03.92 You know, we had a delightful experience. 00:32:03.95\00:32:06.09 It's always interesting to see people 00:32:06.12\00:32:07.62 when they get in that hot water and how different people react. 00:32:07.66\00:32:11.49 You have people that are sometimes very stoic. 00:32:11.53\00:32:14.10 You have some people that kind of... 00:32:14.13\00:32:16.06 You have to really encourage 00:32:16.10\00:32:17.97 and Gary was one of the stoic people. 00:32:18.00\00:32:19.73 He sat in there, 00:32:19.77\00:32:21.10 but you could see this look of determination on his face. 00:32:21.14\00:32:24.01 And, yeah, we would be getting up there close to 104, 00:32:24.04\00:32:27.61 and, you know, that's when we get to that 104 mark. 00:32:27.64\00:32:31.18 We start that 20 minute time 00:32:31.21\00:32:32.65 that's when we start counting down. 00:32:32.68\00:32:34.02 Yeah. 00:32:34.05\00:32:35.38 Gary, how you doing? "Yep, hmm-mm." 00:32:35.42\00:32:38.95 You all right? "Hmm-mm." 00:32:38.99\00:32:41.72 I went out. 00:32:41.76\00:32:43.96 We have to move the clock off the wall 00:32:43.99\00:32:45.69 where he couldn't see it 'cause he would be, he'd be... 00:32:45.73\00:32:48.10 'Cause you start clock watching us. 00:32:48.13\00:32:49.46 Yeah. Yeah so. 00:32:49.50\00:32:55.24 He is a tough guy, and it's a testimony. 00:32:55.27\00:32:58.37 His result show it. 00:32:58.41\00:32:59.74 Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. 00:32:59.77\00:33:01.11 So you got the results that you were looking for? 00:33:01.14\00:33:05.11 Yes. Yes. 00:33:05.15\00:33:06.58 And continued healthy eating. 00:33:06.61\00:33:13.09 I think that's really been a key. 00:33:13.12\00:33:15.29 And a real thing that we encourage us 00:33:15.32\00:33:19.23 at Eden Valley. 00:33:19.26\00:33:21.10 I can't say enough about their health program 00:33:21.13\00:33:23.37 as far as the food, and the exercise, 00:33:23.40\00:33:26.27 and sunshine and all those things 00:33:26.30\00:33:29.54 that they do there. 00:33:29.57\00:33:30.91 Yes. 00:33:30.94\00:33:32.27 Travis, as lifestyle guy, give me some sense of 00:33:32.31\00:33:35.34 the kind of regime that you take your patients through. 00:33:35.38\00:33:39.08 And I guess it's tailored to what they present 00:33:39.11\00:33:40.68 with when they come. 00:33:40.72\00:33:42.05 Right. 00:33:42.08\00:33:43.42 So, you know, the program is all, it's individualized. 00:33:43.45\00:33:46.32 You know we have protocols that we have established. 00:33:46.35\00:33:49.49 But those protocols are adjusted 00:33:49.52\00:33:51.03 based on each individual. 00:33:51.06\00:33:52.49 So you know we have certain goals with cancer. 00:33:52.53\00:33:56.87 So obviously our treatment, our treatments with cancer 00:33:56.90\00:33:59.50 kind of centered around the fever baths. 00:33:59.53\00:34:04.54 And that's the most aggressive treatment 00:34:04.57\00:34:08.11 that we have for cancer. 00:34:08.14\00:34:09.48 That doesn't work for every body. 00:34:09.51\00:34:10.85 For example, 00:34:10.88\00:34:12.21 if you have diabetes along with cancer. 00:34:12.25\00:34:13.58 Some diabetics cannot get in that hot water, 00:34:13.62\00:34:15.08 because of the poor blood flow 00:34:15.12\00:34:20.16 to the extremities and the feet. 00:34:20.19\00:34:22.62 So we don't want to damage any thing. 00:34:22.66\00:34:24.29 We want to help. 00:34:24.33\00:34:25.79 So, you know, we have to kind of tailor things 00:34:25.83\00:34:30.17 to what each person can handle and what their needs are so. 00:34:30.20\00:34:36.17 You mentioned or touched on the hyperbaric chamber 00:34:36.20\00:34:38.71 When I was there, I took a couple of visits 00:34:38.74\00:34:41.04 but it was off site. 00:34:41.08\00:34:42.41 Do you have one on site? 00:34:42.44\00:34:43.81 I know you are working to get that. 00:34:43.85\00:34:45.68 Yeah, we have two 00:34:45.71\00:34:47.75 soft chamber hyperbarics on campus. 00:34:47.78\00:34:49.12 Oh, you do. 00:34:49.15\00:34:50.49 I should come back just for that. 00:34:50.52\00:34:53.15 We have to go into town to do that back then. 00:34:53.19\00:34:55.89 Yeah, you know, one thing that I appreciate it about, 00:34:55.92\00:34:59.89 about the program at Eden Valley, 00:34:59.93\00:35:02.53 we've got a great staff there. 00:35:02.56\00:35:04.73 Dr. Keith spends a lot of time researching, studying. 00:35:04.77\00:35:09.57 My wife and I do a lot of reading. 00:35:09.60\00:35:12.07 We have our herbalist Blauch. We call him the professor. 00:35:12.11\00:35:16.51 He's gonna hate me for saying that. 00:35:16.54\00:35:18.61 He's constantly, he's constantly 00:35:18.65\00:35:21.02 studying and researching so we. 00:35:21.05\00:35:23.28 You know, we want our program to grow. 00:35:23.32\00:35:25.35 You know, we don't want to be stuck in, 00:35:25.39\00:35:27.46 well, this is what we've always done 00:35:27.49\00:35:28.96 because new knowledge comes about. 00:35:28.99\00:35:31.06 We get new insights. 00:35:31.09\00:35:32.43 We learn new things in our program, 00:35:32.46\00:35:33.80 even in the last, you know, the time that I've been 00:35:33.83\00:35:35.46 our program has evolved and it's grown 00:35:35.50\00:35:38.10 and, you know that's, that's a great thing. 00:35:38.13\00:35:40.40 So one of the things that we've, 00:35:40.44\00:35:42.50 that we've put together is with these hyperbarics, 00:35:42.54\00:35:45.37 how can we utilize those to fit the needs of our guest. 00:35:45.41\00:35:49.51 How can we implement them to, to better the program and... 00:35:49.54\00:35:55.58 What we started doing along with, 00:35:55.62\00:35:57.05 with some new diet changes with our, 00:35:57.09\00:35:59.95 with our cancer guest is that they, 00:35:59.99\00:36:02.02 you know, they spend their time in the fever tank, 00:36:02.06\00:36:06.09 killing cancer and then we let them recover 00:36:06.13\00:36:08.76 in the hyperbaric for an hour. 00:36:08.80\00:36:10.13 Oh, nice. Yeah, I like that. 00:36:10.17\00:36:12.93 For those who may not know what a hyperbaric chamber does 00:36:12.97\00:36:15.10 and what it's for. 00:36:15.14\00:36:16.47 Walk us through that real quick? 00:36:16.50\00:36:17.84 So hyperbaric oxygen therapy it's... 00:36:17.87\00:36:20.78 It's basically being pressurized oxygen... 00:36:20.81\00:36:23.21 It was the treatment 00:36:23.24\00:36:24.58 that was centered around scuba diving. 00:36:24.61\00:36:26.75 So people that would go to depth in, 00:36:26.78\00:36:29.75 there are some issues you can get 00:36:29.78\00:36:31.62 from coming up too fast, or being down too low, 00:36:31.65\00:36:34.12 and that's called the bends. 00:36:34.16\00:36:35.99 And hyperbaric chambers came about 00:36:36.02\00:36:39.03 to basically put people in the same pressure 00:36:39.06\00:36:41.96 that they would be at depth when they're scuba diving. 00:36:42.00\00:36:44.77 And different chambers are rated differently, 00:36:44.80\00:36:47.57 but it's basically. 00:36:47.60\00:36:48.94 It's putting you at pressure, 00:36:48.97\00:36:51.37 so our chambers go to one atmospheric pressure, 00:36:51.41\00:36:55.68 which is not a lot, 00:36:55.71\00:36:58.18 some of the more like things 00:36:58.21\00:37:00.45 you would see at the larger hospital, 00:37:00.48\00:37:01.85 the solid chambers can go up to six to eight atmospheres... 00:37:01.88\00:37:05.82 But in a oxygen rich environment. 00:37:05.85\00:37:07.49 Yes, in an oxygen rich environment. 00:37:07.52\00:37:09.76 Our chambers are not 100 percent oxygen, 00:37:09.79\00:37:11.76 they are mixed air. 00:37:11.79\00:37:13.13 It's under pressure 00:37:13.16\00:37:14.53 and so what that does when people are in there. 00:37:14.56\00:37:16.90 It saturates the blood more thoroughly, 00:37:16.93\00:37:19.40 it increases the oxygen supply to the blood. 00:37:19.43\00:37:24.27 Obviously, the healthy tissues are given more oxygen 00:37:24.31\00:37:28.21 and the thing that we had to piece together was 00:37:28.24\00:37:32.78 how does that affect cancer? 00:37:32.81\00:37:35.35 And that's work, what we found with diet changes, 00:37:35.38\00:37:39.85 we've implemented some like I said, 00:37:39.89\00:37:41.39 some diet changes too to work with the oxygen, 00:37:41.42\00:37:45.93 you know, oxygen use by itself does very little. 00:37:45.96\00:37:50.20 But when you apply, what we call a ketogenic diet, 00:37:50.23\00:37:55.97 very low carbohydrates, 00:37:56.00\00:37:57.97 high healthy plant based proteins, 00:37:58.01\00:38:00.61 healthy fats, coconut oil, avocados, nuts, flaxseed, 00:38:00.64\00:38:05.81 chia seeds, things like that. 00:38:05.85\00:38:07.78 When you, when you combine that with oxygen, 00:38:07.82\00:38:10.72 it forces the cancer cells 00:38:10.75\00:38:14.26 to leave an environment that they like, 00:38:14.29\00:38:17.66 to an environment that they don't like. 00:38:17.69\00:38:19.83 And it doesn't make them happy. 00:38:19.86\00:38:23.00 And Dr. Keith, I'm sorry... 00:38:23.03\00:38:24.47 Travis, you're close on that, you agree with that. 00:38:24.50\00:38:27.20 Yes. We want to emphasize that. 00:38:27.24\00:38:30.17 It's been studied over the years, 00:38:30.21\00:38:31.74 and that we don't want any misconceptions. 00:38:31.77\00:38:34.74 Oxygen does not directly kill cancer cells. 00:38:34.78\00:38:39.88 It is true that cancer cells have learned to survive 00:38:39.91\00:38:43.08 in a low oxygen environment, 00:38:43.12\00:38:45.79 because they start growing without a blood supply. 00:38:45.82\00:38:48.56 So they and then later they send out signals to draw, 00:38:48.59\00:38:54.26 to draw new vessels to them and then that's part 00:38:54.30\00:38:58.03 of how vegetables, tomatoes and soybeans. 00:38:58.07\00:39:02.97 Many of these phytochemicals, plant chemicals 00:39:03.00\00:39:08.21 will inhibit the formation of a new artery 00:39:08.24\00:39:12.05 to the cancer cell, 00:39:12.08\00:39:13.65 so anyway cancer cells have learned to survive 00:39:13.68\00:39:17.75 on less oxygen. 00:39:17.79\00:39:19.75 But, oxygen... 00:39:19.79\00:39:21.39 but when they get oxygen, it's fine with them. 00:39:21.42\00:39:24.76 They're maybe even happier 00:39:24.79\00:39:26.76 so oxygen does not kill cancer cells, 00:39:26.80\00:39:30.20 but with the ketogenic diet. 00:39:30.23\00:39:34.10 And of course, if you Google ketogenic diet, 00:39:34.14\00:39:36.57 you're going to come up with the Atkins diet 00:39:36.60\00:39:39.04 and such like that, 00:39:39.07\00:39:40.41 which having meat, and meat fat, 00:39:40.44\00:39:43.75 which is inflammatory and inflammation 00:39:43.78\00:39:47.12 will feed and drive cancer. 00:39:47.15\00:39:49.85 So we have the vegan ketogenic diet. 00:39:49.88\00:39:53.96 And cancer cells thrive on glucose. 00:39:53.99\00:40:00.03 And glycogen stores things 00:40:00.06\00:40:02.00 that break down really on glucose. 00:40:02.03\00:40:05.07 Cancer cells almost primarily, 00:40:05.10\00:40:09.64 Travis put this in layman's terms, 00:40:09.67\00:40:11.77 and we'll use a little more in doctor terms, 00:40:11.81\00:40:14.38 but there's two different types of metabolism 00:40:14.41\00:40:17.15 of producing energy in the cell. 00:40:17.18\00:40:19.85 Glycolysis which is just simply use split glucose 00:40:19.88\00:40:24.42 and you make two units of ATP and, 00:40:24.45\00:40:28.49 and that's what cancer cells do primarily. 00:40:28.52\00:40:32.53 They don't... 00:40:32.56\00:40:36.16 They don't go on to use 00:40:36.20\00:40:37.53 the more efficient Krebs cycle that, 00:40:37.57\00:40:42.17 that the rest of our cells can do. 00:40:42.20\00:40:44.01 So anyway, if we can starve 00:40:44.04\00:40:46.21 the cancer cell of carbohydrates starch glucose 00:40:46.24\00:40:51.98 and provide mainly just fiber and some protein 00:40:52.01\00:40:56.45 and even a little coconut oil, 00:40:56.48\00:41:00.99 which is readily used as fuel by the body. 00:41:01.02\00:41:06.56 If you Google this, the ketogenic diet is boosted 00:41:06.59\00:41:11.20 somewhat by oxygen by hyperbaric therapy. 00:41:11.23\00:41:15.57 So, we're using the vegan ketogenic diet 00:41:15.60\00:41:20.54 or 100 percent plant based diet, 00:41:20.58\00:41:24.35 plus the hyperbaric chambers 00:41:24.38\00:41:26.01 and together they have an anti-cancer effect. 00:41:26.05\00:41:29.12 Praise the Lord. 00:41:29.15\00:41:30.49 And I need to say this, both you guys 00:41:30.52\00:41:32.42 David and Gary 00:41:32.45\00:41:34.49 weight wise, you look pretty good. 00:41:34.52\00:41:37.19 Like you are right about where you ought to be. 00:41:37.23\00:41:41.10 Travis, you're not starving them at least when I was there. 00:41:41.13\00:41:45.67 The only changes we stop eating 00:41:45.70\00:41:47.47 I think about 2-3 o'clock in the afternoon, 00:41:47.50\00:41:49.67 which you actually get used to the after a while, 00:41:49.70\00:41:51.34 and it's preferred but as far as quantity, 00:41:51.37\00:41:54.54 I don't recall starving myself by any stuff, 00:41:54.58\00:41:57.91 you eat like a horse. 00:41:57.95\00:41:59.35 But the weight comes off, 00:41:59.38\00:42:00.72 because of the kinds of things that you're eating. 00:42:00.75\00:42:03.32 And I was, I was incredibly impressed 00:42:03.35\00:42:06.72 with the quality of the food. 00:42:06.76\00:42:08.79 And the stuff tastes good. 00:42:08.82\00:42:10.86 So you don't feel like you're being deprived. 00:42:10.89\00:42:12.39 Did you guys feel it in anyway that you have been deprived? 00:42:12.43\00:42:14.43 The food was wonderful. 00:42:14.46\00:42:15.80 It was wonderful. Yeah, yeah. 00:42:15.83\00:42:17.77 Very, very beautifully presented to it. 00:42:17.80\00:42:20.44 Every, every meal, every plate was so artistically designed 00:42:20.47\00:42:24.77 that you just hate it almost to ruin it by taking some. 00:42:24.81\00:42:30.18 The presentation was beautiful and the quantity was quite... 00:42:30.21\00:42:33.88 Amen. Yeah. It was well done. 00:42:33.92\00:42:36.55 And you're eating two big healthy meals a day. 00:42:36.58\00:42:41.56 And, Travis, I guess for the most part, 00:42:41.59\00:42:43.32 most people can live on two, you know. 00:42:43.36\00:42:45.73 Right. 00:42:45.76\00:42:48.46 You know, it's the old saying, 00:42:48.50\00:42:50.57 "Eat breakfast like a king, 00:42:50.60\00:42:51.93 eat lunch like a king, eat dinner like a pauper." 00:42:51.97\00:42:54.87 You know, so at Eden Valley we serve nice big breakfast... 00:42:54.90\00:42:59.84 You do. 00:42:59.87\00:43:01.21 Lots of options. 00:43:01.24\00:43:02.71 We've got a nice selection at lunch time, 00:43:02.74\00:43:04.98 and then in the evening time 00:43:05.01\00:43:06.55 we serve a extremely healthy vegetable stock. 00:43:06.58\00:43:11.25 Broth from fresh that we make fresh everyday, 00:43:11.29\00:43:14.72 out of fresh vegetables, 00:43:14.76\00:43:16.09 many of which are grown in on our property. 00:43:16.12\00:43:18.33 Yeah.
