And, Autumn, good to have you here. 00:07:46.19\00:07:48.76 Good to be here. 00:07:48.80\00:07:50.13 Let our viewers and listeners know who you are 00:07:50.17\00:07:52.00 besides your dad's daughter. 00:07:52.03\00:07:54.74 My name is Autumn Canther. 00:07:54.77\00:07:56.10 And currently I am studying physical therapy 00:07:56.14\00:07:59.61 and so I'm here for, 00:07:59.64\00:08:01.31 they have different schedules of the year. 00:08:01.34\00:08:04.21 So, I'm here on the summer break. 00:08:04.25\00:08:06.68 And glad to be here, thank you for having us. 00:08:06.72\00:08:09.18 Okay. 00:08:09.22\00:08:10.55 And just kind of, you're also bilingual I understand. 00:08:10.59\00:08:13.42 I am, yes. 00:08:13.46\00:08:14.79 Okay, I just want to bring that out because, 00:08:14.82\00:08:16.83 just to let our audience know 00:08:16.86\00:08:18.46 that this program most likely will be again heard in Spanish. 00:08:18.49\00:08:23.40 And I believe Autumn is going to be a part of that. 00:08:23.43\00:08:25.57 Unfortunately her dad 00:08:25.60\00:08:26.94 is not as fluent as he would like to be in Spanish. 00:08:26.97\00:08:29.60 So, you'll be excluded 00:08:29.64\00:08:30.97 but the message will still go forward. 00:08:31.01\00:08:32.67 Tell us about the ministry ACTS, 00:08:32.71\00:08:35.14 we'll start with the word ACTS 00:08:35.18\00:08:36.51 because it was first ACTS World Relief, 00:08:36.54\00:08:38.65 then ACTS GR3. 00:08:38.68\00:08:40.45 What does GR3 stand for? 00:08:40.48\00:08:42.25 So GR3 means Global Rescue Relief and Resilience. 00:08:42.28\00:08:47.06 So that's the deploying side, the emergency response side, 00:08:47.09\00:08:50.36 both in preparedness training and deploying. 00:08:50.39\00:08:53.19 I'm also a faculty at the Harvard BIDMC program 00:08:53.23\00:08:57.17 which is an emergency management, 00:08:57.20\00:08:59.07 so we train a lot of doctors, 00:08:59.10\00:09:00.70 medical people in the field how to respond. 00:09:00.74\00:09:04.11 But not only medically, 00:09:04.14\00:09:05.47 but today we're going to even be having a little fun 00:09:05.51\00:09:07.78 with psychological first aid. 00:09:07.81\00:09:09.94 That's emotional and spiritual care side. 00:09:09.98\00:09:12.61 So you have the GR3 side. 00:09:12.65\00:09:14.18 But a whole another division that only began two years ago 00:09:14.22\00:09:17.85 is both your and my passion 00:09:17.89\00:09:19.89 and that is church growth strategy. 00:09:19.92\00:09:22.06 How do you help that 80 percentile of churches 00:09:22.09\00:09:25.66 that are actually in decline through serving others, 00:09:25.69\00:09:29.40 52 percent of churches 00:09:29.43\00:09:32.03 have less than 100 members in their congregation. 00:09:32.07\00:09:35.10 So, there are common denominators 00:09:35.14\00:09:37.91 we're going to explore today. 00:09:37.94\00:09:39.91 You can invite ACTS 911 to come in as a consultant 00:09:39.94\00:09:44.15 and basically help your church grow 00:09:44.18\00:09:46.68 guaranteed 10 percent a year. 00:09:46.72\00:09:49.52 You talked about psychological first aid 00:09:49.55\00:09:52.22 and I also understood prior to our interview 00:09:52.25\00:09:57.19 that that is an area 00:09:57.23\00:09:58.56 that Autumn is very much involved in. 00:09:58.59\00:10:00.40 Tell us about that, because some people may be saying 00:10:00.43\00:10:02.93 psychological first aid, what in fact is that? 00:10:02.96\00:10:07.17 The psychological first aid 00:10:07.20\00:10:08.54 is just a way to be able to not only in disasters 00:10:08.57\00:10:12.07 but in everyday life to calm people down, 00:10:12.11\00:10:14.68 if they're having maybe a stress, 00:10:14.71\00:10:16.44 you know, a breakdown at work. 00:10:16.48\00:10:18.78 To be able to attend to those needs 00:10:18.81\00:10:20.38 because when people are, you know, just were where, 00:10:20.42\00:10:23.79 you know, familiar with the term burnouts here. 00:10:23.82\00:10:27.06 When we have too many things to do, 00:10:27.09\00:10:28.72 you know, we're just so stressed out. 00:10:28.76\00:10:30.13 We're getting to the maximum level, 00:10:30.16\00:10:31.66 that you can just realize those symptoms 00:10:31.69\00:10:33.90 and say how can I help you, 00:10:33.93\00:10:35.26 you know, in a very one on one level. 00:10:35.30\00:10:37.93 Okay. 00:10:37.97\00:10:39.30 And the sooner we mitigate, that's a word we use a lot. 00:10:39.33\00:10:43.17 The trauma, whatever it is in life. 00:10:43.20\00:10:45.57 The sooner and quicker God has created us, 00:10:45.61\00:10:47.71 so we can rebound. 00:10:47.74\00:10:49.48 Be resilient and so, 00:10:49.51\00:10:52.31 what we're going to have fun with in the second part is, 00:10:52.35\00:10:54.52 we're going to role play something. 00:10:54.55\00:10:56.89 Typical church setting scenario that could happen 00:10:56.92\00:10:59.75 to any of our listening audience. 00:10:59.79\00:11:02.09 And how to mitigate it quickly. 00:11:02.12\00:11:04.69 How to reduce the stress like Autumn was talking about, 00:11:04.73\00:11:07.83 so that we can be resilient and healthy happy Christians. 00:11:07.86\00:11:10.83 Okay. Now, Acts World Relief, do you still have that? 00:11:10.87\00:11:14.84 No. Okay. 00:11:14.87\00:11:16.20 Now, it's ACTS 911 and ACTS GR3. 00:11:16.24\00:11:19.57 Correct. Correct. And you're the CEO of that. 00:11:19.61\00:11:22.41 Wonderful, but you said, you had about-- 00:11:22.44\00:11:24.55 Now, the 19 trucks or the 17 trucks 00:11:24.58\00:11:26.45 you talked about, do you still have that? 00:11:26.48\00:11:27.85 Yes, we have many of those trucks 00:11:27.88\00:11:29.22 located at Forest Lake Academy in Orlando, Florida. 00:11:29.25\00:11:32.79 But we have other kitchens in various places 00:11:32.82\00:11:34.59 in the country. 00:11:34.62\00:11:35.96 And so, that's to help churches 00:11:35.99\00:11:37.73 immediately mobilize school groups 00:11:37.76\00:11:39.83 in emergency response. 00:11:39.86\00:11:41.76 Uniquely enough though we have found over the years 00:11:41.80\00:11:44.93 that these two are very related. 00:11:44.97\00:11:48.04 When you help churches in natural disasters, 00:11:48.07\00:11:51.97 we spend years later 00:11:52.01\00:11:53.71 helping churches evangelistically reach out 00:11:53.74\00:11:56.18 because once they've helped them in time of need 00:11:56.21\00:11:58.41 churches grow exponentially. 00:11:58.45\00:12:00.48 So it's a first multiplier, when you're preparing 00:12:00.52\00:12:03.22 that church to now meet the needs and then they grow. 00:12:03.25\00:12:06.29 And that's what the ACTS 911 side as well. 00:12:06.32\00:12:08.12 Okay, so not only just giving. 00:12:08.16\00:12:10.49 I think in the Bible Jesus talks about 00:12:10.53\00:12:13.23 if there's someone who is destitute of food 00:12:13.26\00:12:15.33 and hungry and naked. 00:12:15.36\00:12:17.50 They would be more receptive to the gospel 00:12:17.53\00:12:19.33 if those needs were met first. 00:12:19.37\00:12:21.40 Jesus always loved to meet the needs of people first, 00:12:21.44\00:12:24.24 and then they were open to listening. 00:12:24.27\00:12:26.37 Tell us how you had received this impression of the Lord, 00:12:26.41\00:12:30.05 because, I know that anything that we do 00:12:30.08\00:12:31.51 is not something well, let me see 00:12:31.55\00:12:32.88 what else can I do in life? 00:12:32.91\00:12:35.08 But the Lord directs our hearts to fill a need 00:12:35.12\00:12:39.12 and that need is indelibly connected to the gospel. 00:12:39.15\00:12:43.76 It's not just an end in and of itself. 00:12:43.79\00:12:47.30 Talk about that, and then we want to lay the foundation, 00:12:47.33\00:12:49.76 so that our viewers at least, 00:12:49.80\00:12:51.47 we're gonna describe this for our listeners 00:12:51.50\00:12:53.00 but so our viewers could be able to understand 00:12:53.03\00:12:55.64 what they're about to see this short roll 00:12:55.67\00:12:57.74 in about two minutes. 00:12:57.77\00:12:59.11 And, but lay the foundation for that 00:12:59.14\00:13:00.74 so we could kind of begin to unpack the movie. 00:13:00.78\00:13:02.64 So the foundation is based on Acts 2. 00:13:02.68\00:13:04.75 When you read Acts 2, 00:13:04.78\00:13:06.21 you find that here the church is just growing exponentially. 00:13:06.25\00:13:09.98 There are ingredients 00:13:10.02\00:13:11.35 that will talk about that are very specifically clear. 00:13:11.39\00:13:15.42 We're gonna talk about four of those ingredients 00:13:15.46\00:13:17.16 but I pastored churches like yourself 00:13:17.19\00:13:19.29 that were very challenged. 00:13:19.33\00:13:20.83 I wanted God to lead me to churches 00:13:20.86\00:13:22.73 that were very challenged 00:13:22.76\00:13:24.10 and were going to cease to exist. 00:13:24.13\00:13:26.17 And how you could take a church 00:13:26.20\00:13:28.20 that was really closed its doors 00:13:28.24\00:13:29.80 even though a several million dollar edifice 00:13:29.84\00:13:31.84 was paid for entirely. 00:13:31.87\00:13:33.51 And yet, maybe only one family in the church, 00:13:33.54\00:13:35.84 the rest are retired. 00:13:35.88\00:13:37.51 And so, how to take that church within three years 00:13:37.55\00:13:40.28 so that it's now having five services on the weekend 00:13:40.32\00:13:43.52 filled with young people. 00:13:43.55\00:13:45.19 And the key is training as a resource tool, 00:13:45.22\00:13:48.96 laity finding out the strengths and talents 00:13:48.99\00:13:51.56 of your congregation, the people of that church. 00:13:51.59\00:13:54.33 Matching that 00:13:54.36\00:13:55.70 with what are the needs of my, of your community. 00:13:55.73\00:13:57.93 When you match those two together, 00:13:57.97\00:13:59.63 it becomes a vibrant church. 00:13:59.67\00:14:01.54 That's my passion, that's my joy. 00:14:01.57\00:14:04.11 Disaster started happening in Florida, 00:14:04.14\00:14:06.07 and since we are feeding people every week. 00:14:06.11\00:14:08.84 We were used to feeding, 00:14:08.88\00:14:10.21 we just started feeding thousands. 00:14:10.25\00:14:11.85 And so, it's to take that church growth strategy 00:14:11.88\00:14:14.18 and realize the gospel is very clear and simple. 00:14:14.22\00:14:18.12 Help the people that are hurting 00:14:18.15\00:14:19.82 and to realize it that when that's Holy Spirit driven, 00:14:19.85\00:14:24.23 it's a wonderful journey with God. 00:14:24.26\00:14:25.99 So, instead of answering questions 00:14:26.03\00:14:27.66 that people are not asking, because oftentimes we say, 00:14:27.70\00:14:30.07 well, we want to have this kind of series 00:14:30.10\00:14:31.43 or that kind of evangelistic outreach, 00:14:31.47\00:14:32.93 that kind of seminar. 00:14:32.97\00:14:34.50 And you ask about the relevance of it for the communities. 00:14:34.54\00:14:36.57 Sometimes people are not responding 00:14:36.60\00:14:38.14 because we're not giving answers 00:14:38.17\00:14:40.21 to the questions they're asking. 00:14:40.24\00:14:41.84 Or we're not filling a need that they have. 00:14:41.88\00:14:43.91 And we know in the consumer world, 00:14:43.95\00:14:46.31 the most successful formula 00:14:46.35\00:14:47.85 for getting a product into someone's home 00:14:47.88\00:14:50.29 is finding out what their needs are. 00:14:50.32\00:14:52.59 And so we wouldn't sell... 00:14:52.62\00:14:54.52 I just want to be kind about this. 00:14:54.56\00:14:56.49 We wouldn't sell farm equipment in Brooklyn, New York. 00:14:56.52\00:15:01.26 It wouldn't be relevant, but in this community it would. 00:15:01.30\00:15:03.73 We have to understand our people in our community. 00:15:03.77\00:15:05.83 Lay the foundation for this roll in 00:15:05.87\00:15:07.20 we're about to see. 00:15:07.24\00:15:08.57 Okay, so let's have a little fun 00:15:08.60\00:15:10.34 with four key principles. 00:15:10.37\00:15:12.44 Right. 00:15:12.47\00:15:13.81 The first principle according to Acts 2 00:15:13.84\00:15:16.71 is a principle that's very simple. 00:15:16.75\00:15:19.38 And that has to do with Christ centered 00:15:19.41\00:15:22.62 and Holy Spirit driven. 00:15:22.65\00:15:25.39 Every church has to begin with that 00:15:25.42\00:15:27.66 as their number one ingredient. 00:15:27.69\00:15:30.23 Are you Christ centered in everything that you do? 00:15:30.26\00:15:32.86 Are your ministries or your outreach, 00:15:32.89\00:15:34.83 are they all leading people to Christ? 00:15:34.86\00:15:36.97 If it's just a program, it's gonna die, 00:15:37.00\00:15:39.40 it doesn't have any meaning. 00:15:39.43\00:15:40.80 So, is it Christ centered? And is it Holy Spirit driven? 00:15:40.84\00:15:45.47 Because you and I can sit around cooking up new ideas 00:15:45.51\00:15:48.61 that the community needs to do for a new project. 00:15:48.64\00:15:50.98 But if it's not Holy Spirit driven, 00:15:51.01\00:15:52.75 it will cease to exist. 00:15:52.78\00:15:54.48 That's where the miracles happen. 00:15:54.52\00:15:55.98 We're gonna share some neat miracle stories 00:15:56.02\00:15:57.79 in these ministries in just a few minutes. 00:15:57.82\00:15:59.95 But, when you begin realizing, it's a God thing. 00:15:59.99\00:16:02.96 It's not us, it's not man made. 00:16:02.99\00:16:05.09 Right, you're just a conduit. Conduit. 00:16:05.13\00:16:07.16 So, in English the second C would be? 00:16:07.20\00:16:11.27 The Compassion. 00:16:11.30\00:16:13.07 And how important is, you know, 00:16:13.10\00:16:14.97 you've grown up in a lot of church growth 00:16:15.00\00:16:17.07 and been a part of a lot of community outreach. 00:16:17.11\00:16:20.08 How important would you see compassion 00:16:20.11\00:16:22.44 and relationships being a part of all this? 00:16:22.48\00:16:24.91 What's important about having compassion 00:16:24.95\00:16:26.82 is having those inter, those relationships 00:16:26.85\00:16:30.72 that are interpersonal. 00:16:30.75\00:16:32.12 The relationships that you have in the community 00:16:32.15\00:16:34.49 and in the church, 00:16:34.52\00:16:36.99 as you're able to have the relationships 00:16:37.03\00:16:40.90 in between the churches. 00:16:40.93\00:16:43.03 You're able to then go out into the community 00:16:43.06\00:16:45.73 and be able to serve them effectively. 00:16:45.77\00:16:47.97 Because when you have a compassionate heart, 00:16:48.00\00:16:50.01 you're able to see the needs a little bit more specifically, 00:16:50.04\00:16:52.81 that maybe our human eyes won't be able to see. 00:16:52.84\00:16:55.54 That's why important, 00:16:55.58\00:16:57.18 that's why it's important to have the Holy Spirit also 00:16:57.21\00:16:59.88 to be able to pray for that and say, you know. 00:16:59.91\00:17:02.55 Even though I love to glorify myself, 00:17:02.58\00:17:04.65 because we are humans, we all have that pride 00:17:04.69\00:17:07.56 that you know, the Holy Spirit. 00:17:07.59\00:17:09.76 We ask for that humility to, 00:17:09.79\00:17:11.49 to have that compassion for others. 00:17:11.53\00:17:13.36 You know, the Bible talks about the fact 00:17:13.40\00:17:14.96 that when Jesus saw the multitude, 00:17:15.00\00:17:16.33 He had compassion on them. 00:17:16.36\00:17:17.70 That's right, that's right. They knew it, they knew it. 00:17:17.73\00:17:19.50 And compassion gets involved. 00:17:19.53\00:17:22.27 Compassion gets down, pity looks down. 00:17:22.30\00:17:24.77 It's amazing you know, as I coached to many pastors 00:17:24.81\00:17:28.08 and church people. 00:17:28.11\00:17:30.98 If the pastor is not compassionate 00:17:31.01\00:17:33.15 with his own church members, he models that. 00:17:33.18\00:17:36.55 It's very difficult to get to the next level, 00:17:36.58\00:17:39.22 when we talk about community outreach. 00:17:39.25\00:17:42.02 You see, you have to develop a community that's the third C. 00:17:42.06\00:17:45.83 So, we find 00:17:45.86\00:17:47.40 that the first we talked about is Christ centered, 00:17:47.43\00:17:49.20 Holy Spirit driven. 00:17:49.23\00:17:50.57 The second one is what Autumn has just shared. 00:17:50.60\00:17:53.13 The third one has to do with community. 00:17:53.17\00:17:55.70 Community within you have to develop that 00:17:55.74\00:17:58.01 through the compassion she talked about. 00:17:58.04\00:18:00.08 If the pastor isn't modeling compassion to his members, 00:18:00.11\00:18:03.08 you have a little problem. 00:18:03.11\00:18:04.75 Because the church can only rise 00:18:04.78\00:18:06.35 as high as the pastor is demonstrating 00:18:06.38\00:18:08.18 that compassion as the leader. 00:18:08.22\00:18:10.22 And because then he model something 00:18:10.25\00:18:12.19 that the congregation begin saying, 00:18:12.22\00:18:14.06 "Wow, relationships are very important here." 00:18:14.09\00:18:17.59 So developing that community within. 00:18:17.63\00:18:19.59 Many times though, 00:18:19.63\00:18:21.03 churches are very dysfunctional as we know. 00:18:21.06\00:18:23.13 And so, you can't spend all of your time 00:18:23.16\00:18:25.70 like on mega churches 00:18:25.73\00:18:27.07 just talking about the community 00:18:27.10\00:18:28.70 and fellowship within. 00:18:28.74\00:18:30.07 You have to begin reaching out. 00:18:30.11\00:18:31.64 And many times, it's when we combine community within, 00:18:31.67\00:18:34.74 you become somewhat functional. 00:18:34.78\00:18:36.95 You're modeling, helping one another, 00:18:36.98\00:18:38.85 praying with one another caring. 00:18:38.88\00:18:40.38 But now, that begins spilling out to the community. 00:18:40.42\00:18:43.49 And so, now the community without you're finding 00:18:43.52\00:18:46.12 what are the community needs? 00:18:46.15\00:18:47.76 We're going to talk about a survey in a minute, 00:18:47.79\00:18:49.26 how you find it out? 00:18:49.29\00:18:50.63 But another is if you're identifying 00:18:50.66\00:18:51.99 the community needs. 00:18:52.03\00:18:53.36 And once you've done that, now your church community 00:18:53.40\00:18:55.96 begins reaching out to the community, 00:18:56.00\00:18:57.90 and it begins making sense. 00:18:57.93\00:19:00.17 And so that leads to that third community 00:19:00.20\00:19:03.57 and the fourth C is something that... 00:19:03.61\00:19:06.91 Sometimes we're resistant to this word. 00:19:06.94\00:19:09.98 And this last C is very important 00:19:10.01\00:19:13.48 because it's a changing world. 00:19:13.52\00:19:16.15 Exactly it's change. 00:19:16.18\00:19:17.79 You know, it's hard for us to be as humans 00:19:17.82\00:19:20.52 wanting to change because the situations around us 00:19:20.56\00:19:23.29 are constantly evolving. 00:19:23.32\00:19:24.96 And we need to be able to adapt to those situations, 00:19:24.99\00:19:27.66 so change is actually a biblical principle. 00:19:27.70\00:19:31.00 You know, as we're having in our relationships with God 00:19:31.03\00:19:34.60 as we're growing. 00:19:34.64\00:19:36.20 Everybody's growing, everyone's at a different level 00:19:36.24\00:19:39.77 that you have that change in your heart 00:19:39.81\00:19:41.84 that comes genuinely. 00:19:41.88\00:19:43.81 You know, some people will look at you in different ways 00:19:43.85\00:19:46.51 and say, "You need to change this. 00:19:46.55\00:19:48.28 You need to do that." 00:19:48.32\00:19:49.65 But if it's not, you know, God's driven, 00:19:49.68\00:19:52.95 that divine purpose won't be genuine. 00:19:52.99\00:19:55.96 So, let's get practical for a moment. 00:19:55.99\00:19:58.29 We as pastors sometimes 00:19:58.33\00:19:59.66 you were sharing with me earlier 00:19:59.69\00:20:01.20 about a tremendous thing that God is causing you to do 00:20:01.23\00:20:04.37 in your church having to think about our church plan. 00:20:04.40\00:20:06.53 What are we doing in this community? 00:20:06.57\00:20:08.50 But see we get to comfortable. 00:20:08.54\00:20:10.64 When it comes to change, 00:20:10.67\00:20:12.57 we as human beings all like to be comfortable, 00:20:12.61\00:20:14.94 kind of do the same thing over and over. 00:20:14.98\00:20:17.38 But I call it. 00:20:17.41\00:20:18.75 We call it different terms 00:20:18.78\00:20:20.12 but, you can call it institutional idolatry. 00:20:20.15\00:20:23.79 Another words you say, 00:20:23.82\00:20:25.15 we're going to keep doing it the same way, 00:20:25.19\00:20:26.52 my grandparents and five generations did it. 00:20:26.55\00:20:29.29 Whether it's the worship style, 00:20:29.32\00:20:30.83 whether it's the way you do things, 00:20:30.86\00:20:33.29 you just want to keep doing the same thing. 00:20:33.33\00:20:35.30 And that's where churches are dying. 00:20:35.33\00:20:37.33 So when the Holy Spirit is driving, 00:20:37.37\00:20:40.14 you are open to new ideas. 00:20:40.17\00:20:41.90 By beholding Christ, we become changed. 00:20:41.94\00:20:44.17 As a church community we're adapting now. 00:20:44.21\00:20:46.61 And that's why we had five different services 00:20:46.64\00:20:49.01 because we knew 00:20:49.04\00:20:50.45 that there are many needs in that community. 00:20:50.48\00:20:52.45 How can we design each service, that's meeting different needs? 00:20:52.48\00:20:55.92 We had to change. 00:20:55.95\00:20:57.42 I had to learn some Spanish, I had to preach in Spanish. 00:20:57.45\00:21:00.32 It's like whoa. Yeah! You preach in Spanish? 00:21:00.36\00:21:02.32 And so, another words that's a challenge. 00:21:02.36\00:21:06.49 But that's the parable to good Samaritan. 00:21:06.53\00:21:08.53 Jesus is saying, "When you see the needs, 00:21:08.56\00:21:10.87 are you ready to adapt?" 00:21:10.90\00:21:12.53 Thank the Lord. And then the church can grow. 00:21:12.57\00:21:13.90 We have Spanish translation at our church. 00:21:13.94\00:21:16.64 And matter of fact just this last service we had was, 00:21:16.67\00:21:20.01 I was saying to one of our leaders 00:21:20.04\00:21:22.68 who is practically alls. 00:21:22.71\00:21:24.05 Even our baby dedication was in Spanish. 00:21:24.08\00:21:26.05 So since they endured English at very Sabbath, 00:21:26.08\00:21:28.48 they can endorse Spanish this week. 00:21:28.52\00:21:30.42 But so, in this video roll, 00:21:30.45\00:21:32.45 then we're going to see these four models. 00:21:32.49\00:21:34.46 We're gonna see. 00:21:34.49\00:21:35.82 Actually going back in history, like you were talking about, 00:21:35.86\00:21:38.36 a little bit about Act World Relief. 00:21:38.39\00:21:40.10 How GR3? 00:21:40.13\00:21:41.80 What we've been doing 00:21:41.83\00:21:43.20 since some of our viewers haven't seen the Philippines 00:21:43.23\00:21:46.03 or Nepal response a lot of these things. 00:21:46.07\00:21:47.87 That's going to bring us up to speed. 00:21:47.90\00:21:49.30 Only two minutes on. Okay, bring you something. 00:21:49.34\00:21:51.71 Check out this video. 00:21:51.74\00:21:53.07 My name is David Cather, the founder and CEO 00:21:59.71\00:22:02.35 of what used to be Acts World Relief 00:22:02.38\00:22:05.09 which is now actually GR3 Inc, 00:22:05.12\00:22:07.72 which means Global Rescue Relief and Resilience. 00:22:07.76\00:22:11.73 So, you can find that on Facebook or on our website, 00:22:11.76\00:22:15.36 but a new exciting element of growth has to do it. 00:22:15.40\00:22:18.93 No, longer ACTS Road Relief but ACTS 911. 00:22:18.97\00:22:22.60 And so, ACTS 911 is all about active churches 00:22:22.64\00:22:26.57 that are serving, building relationships. 00:22:26.61\00:22:29.78 That's all about church growth strategy. 00:22:29.81\00:22:32.31 Finding people 00:22:32.35\00:22:33.68 and churches that want to grow through serving others. 00:22:33.72\00:22:36.62 It has to do about active churches 00:22:36.65\00:22:38.95 that love to reach out to their communities, 00:22:38.99\00:22:41.49 whether domestically or internationally. 00:22:41.52\00:22:44.03 I've really enjoyed that area as well as a former pastor. 00:22:44.06\00:22:47.76 Trying to help people understand that model, 00:22:47.80\00:22:49.83 it's all about serving one another in love 00:22:49.86\00:22:53.34 and developing relationships that causes church growth. 00:22:53.37\00:22:58.14 I've enjoyed training many pastors, 00:22:58.17\00:23:00.18 and psychologists, and world leaders 00:23:00.21\00:23:02.44 on church growth development, so that's ACTS 911. 00:23:02.48\00:23:05.81 Also we have GR3, 00:23:05.85\00:23:07.32 which is Global Rescue Relief and Resilience. 00:23:07.35\00:23:11.12 That's everything to have to do about responding 00:23:11.15\00:23:13.96 and recovering to over 100 global disasters 00:23:13.99\00:23:17.99 that we've been involved in over 3,000 volunteers. 00:23:18.03\00:23:22.20 So we want to give you that little update. 00:23:22.23\00:23:24.43 GR3 Inc, you can find on Facebook or our website. 00:23:24.47\00:23:28.24 And ACTS 911 just has to do about spiritual 00:23:28.27\00:23:32.61 and emotional psychological care 00:23:32.64\00:23:35.84 about church growth strategy. 00:23:35.88\00:23:38.01 If you want to find some exciting things 00:23:38.05\00:23:39.71 about either of those topics, go to one of those websites. 00:23:39.75\00:23:42.95 We've tried to separate the strength of each of them out 00:23:42.98\00:23:46.59 as God continues us to expand in the future. 00:23:46.62\00:23:50.79 Now, that was a summary of the ministry of ACTS. 00:23:54.00\00:23:58.30 Wonderfully connecting it to the Book of Acts, 00:23:58.33\00:24:01.14 the growth of the church 00:24:01.17\00:24:02.50 both spiritually and also community connection. 00:24:02.54\00:24:05.81 You talk about the exponential growth of the church. 00:24:05.84\00:24:08.58 There are number of facets that we saw just expand on. 00:24:08.61\00:24:13.21 I notice a lot of community outreach, 00:24:13.25\00:24:15.08 a lot of reaching out. 00:24:15.12\00:24:16.95 Tell us how easy that is to effect in a church. 00:24:16.99\00:24:21.12 It's actually very easy. 00:24:21.16\00:24:23.39 Once you understand the principle 00:24:23.43\00:24:25.99 of finding out what the community's needs are. 00:24:26.03\00:24:29.46 When you and I kind of grew up, 00:24:29.50\00:24:30.93 we were out with little surveys knocking on the doors, 00:24:30.97\00:24:33.23 trying to figure that out. 00:24:33.27\00:24:34.60 There're actually more efficient ways 00:24:34.64\00:24:36.50 and effective ways of finding out the community needs. 00:24:36.54\00:24:39.31 For example: You have... 00:24:39.34\00:24:42.78 You have a number of different resources 00:24:42.81\00:24:44.71 that you can find at ministerial association. 00:24:44.75\00:24:47.12 You can go over to the chamber of commerce. 00:24:47.15\00:24:48.98 I went to the judge as well. 00:24:49.02\00:24:50.75 And so basically I'm asking the judge I said, 00:24:50.79\00:24:54.69 "Can you describe to me, what do you believe 00:24:54.72\00:24:56.99 are the community's greatest needs?" 00:24:57.03\00:24:58.46 He says, "I'll tell you right up." 00:24:58.49\00:24:59.86 He says, "You're in a pretty affluent community 00:24:59.89\00:25:01.60 in Mount Dora. 00:25:01.63\00:25:02.96 And he said, 00:25:03.00\00:25:04.63 "Domestic violence, anger management." 00:25:04.67\00:25:06.87 And he says, "I have to court order people 00:25:06.90\00:25:08.60 to that every week rather than going to jail, 00:25:08.64\00:25:11.71 that's your other option." 00:25:11.74\00:25:13.07 And I said, "What if we signed up 00:25:13.11\00:25:16.31 and registered as a church 00:25:16.34\00:25:17.85 where you could court order them 00:25:17.88\00:25:19.61 to come to our church. 00:25:19.65\00:25:21.15 And we would have the correct certified people 00:25:21.18\00:25:23.45 the instructors lead out in domestic violence, 00:25:23.49\00:25:25.85 you know, anger management, domestic violence." 00:25:25.89\00:25:28.19 He said, "I would love that." 00:25:28.22\00:25:29.79 He said, because it has a Christ centered as it has. 00:25:29.82\00:25:32.69 It has a bigger picture that could help people, 00:25:32.73\00:25:36.30 you know, in the long run.. 00:25:36.33\00:25:37.67 And so, starting two months 00:25:37.70\00:25:39.20 after that little visit together. 00:25:39.23\00:25:41.40 Every month, he would court order 00:25:41.44\00:25:43.00 between 30 and 40 to come to our church. 00:25:43.04\00:25:45.74 Now, we got rid of the name Sabbath school. 00:25:45.77\00:25:47.58 Right. We call it the seminar time. 00:25:47.61\00:25:49.51 We had always a minimum of seven seminars going on. 00:25:49.54\00:25:53.88 And so, that's how easy it becomes, 00:25:53.92\00:25:55.88 I find the needs, match it up. 00:25:55.92\00:25:57.62 And now, your church begins meeting those needs 00:25:57.65\00:26:00.46 both within having seminars. 00:26:00.49\00:26:02.96 And we had people 00:26:02.99\00:26:04.33 that were challenged in our own congregation 00:26:04.36\00:26:05.69 with domestic violence, anger management. 00:26:05.73\00:26:07.53 And I put them in that class to help lead it, to teach it. 00:26:07.56\00:26:10.63 And so, ministries become very natural 00:26:10.67\00:26:14.44 and normal when you find out 00:26:14.47\00:26:15.84 what your community's needs are. 00:26:15.87\00:26:17.24 Are we meeting those needs? 00:26:17.27\00:26:19.11 It's evolving. Have you seen that? 00:26:19.14\00:26:21.54 Have you seen that-- 00:26:21.58\00:26:22.91 Now, having a dad with such a broad platform 00:26:22.94\00:26:27.92 of abilities and skills. 00:26:27.95\00:26:29.92 How has that impacted your life? 00:26:29.95\00:26:32.25 That's been so interesting. 00:26:32.29\00:26:33.92 Ever since I was little just, 00:26:33.96\00:26:36.12 I think I was at the church almost every day which-- 00:26:36.16\00:26:39.13 it just became my home, you know, 00:26:39.16\00:26:40.56 walking in the hallways and finding things to do. 00:26:40.60\00:26:43.77 I didn't get bored easily. 00:26:43.80\00:26:45.40 So, you know, it was just fun to find different things to do 00:26:45.43\00:26:48.27 and when I was seeing these seminars happening. 00:26:48.30\00:26:51.37 Now, that I'm older, he was telling me, 00:26:51.41\00:26:53.04 you know, the other day 00:26:53.07\00:26:54.41 that we had also a Spanish ministry, 00:26:54.44\00:26:56.11 and I said man, you know, 00:26:56.14\00:26:57.51 if I would have learned even Spanish earlier, 00:26:57.55\00:26:59.48 but just the different ministries that you can see 00:26:59.51\00:27:02.98 as you asked the chamber of commerce 00:27:03.02\00:27:05.65 or different people in the community 00:27:05.69\00:27:07.12 what their needs are specifically. 00:27:07.16\00:27:09.82 We had different plumbing, you know, ministries. 00:27:09.86\00:27:12.43 We had seminars, where you could teach people 00:27:12.46\00:27:14.80 how to do electrical things. 00:27:14.83\00:27:17.87 Different things like that. 00:27:17.90\00:27:19.23 You know, as a little girl 00:27:19.27\00:27:20.60 you're not able to see a lot of that. 00:27:20.64\00:27:21.97 But you're seeing a lot of people 00:27:22.00\00:27:23.34 from the community coming into the church, and saying, 00:27:23.37\00:27:26.14 "Wow, they're from all different, 00:27:26.17\00:27:27.81 you know, ranges of the community" 00:27:27.84\00:27:30.01 and that's a great thing to have. 00:27:30.05\00:27:31.75 I was just speaking to a couple of our leaders, 00:27:31.78\00:27:33.55 I mentioned that to you before the program I said, 00:27:33.58\00:27:36.08 here we have a wonderful facility 00:27:36.12\00:27:37.55 with a lot of classroom space. 00:27:37.59\00:27:39.82 What do you think would happen 00:27:39.85\00:27:41.19 if we'd cave after school programs 00:27:41.22\00:27:43.09 for people that want to learn Microsoft Word, 00:27:43.12\00:27:44.59 the beginning level? 00:27:44.63\00:27:45.96 Good, good. 00:27:45.99\00:27:47.33 What about for single parent, classes on single parent. 00:27:47.36\00:27:49.96 Do you think that that would be something 00:27:50.00\00:27:51.33 that is need in this community? 00:27:51.37\00:27:54.47 Yeah, what about all these graphic and video editors... 00:27:54.50\00:27:58.01 Terrific, terrific. 00:27:58.04\00:27:59.41 Things that are practical that are write down all I want. 00:27:59.44\00:28:01.21 What about somebody who wants to understand 00:28:01.24\00:28:03.18 how to set up a website? 00:28:03.21\00:28:05.18 You know, these are basic things 00:28:05.21\00:28:06.65 and I said in some cases 00:28:06.68\00:28:08.48 for just a minimal registration fee. 00:28:08.52\00:28:10.65 So that anything they invest 00:28:10.69\00:28:12.09 and they'll be more likely to come and attend it for-- 00:28:12.12\00:28:14.99 We changed our choir room into a computer lab 00:28:15.02\00:28:17.86 for just that. 00:28:17.89\00:28:19.23 Communities came and our young adults, 00:28:19.26\00:28:21.43 all taught them website design, windows, 00:28:21.46\00:28:24.83 how to work, all for free. 00:28:24.87\00:28:26.84 And so, you had finances 101, plumbing, electrical, 00:28:26.87\00:28:30.01 how to fix a leaky faucet, all that kind of stuff. 00:28:30.04\00:28:32.37 The most popular one that she was referencing 00:28:32.41\00:28:34.91 was on Friday night and Wednesday night 00:28:34.94\00:28:36.88 and that is English literacy. 00:28:36.91\00:28:40.35 It was always packed. 00:28:40.38\00:28:42.28 And so, every community has specific needs. 00:28:42.32\00:28:46.15 And so, when you tap into that like you're saying. 00:28:46.19\00:28:48.39 It's exciting in ministry in how the Holy Spirit 00:28:48.42\00:28:51.53 just drives it and you're meeting 00:28:51.56\00:28:54.40 and interacting people all the time and it's fun. 00:28:54.43\00:28:57.80 Now, a lot of times we do community surveys. 00:28:57.83\00:29:00.50 But let's talk about a church survey here. 00:29:00.54\00:29:03.27 You have one that you can share with us. 00:29:03.30\00:29:04.64 So, we're going to show on the screen 00:29:04.67\00:29:06.01 an example not by detail, 00:29:06.04\00:29:07.38 we're not going to go through the whole survey, 00:29:07.41\00:29:08.74 but there's 28 questions. 00:29:08.78\00:29:10.21 Okay. And on the survey. 00:29:10.25\00:29:12.45 For example, it's trying to have a church 00:29:12.48\00:29:15.18 understand its unique calling. 00:29:15.22\00:29:16.99 Every church is unique, because the members within that church. 00:29:17.02\00:29:20.52 We're talking about church members, 00:29:20.56\00:29:21.99 that's what a church is. 00:29:22.02\00:29:23.49 They have gifts, talents and uniqueness. 00:29:23.53\00:29:25.79 So, in other words, 00:29:25.83\00:29:27.16 we want to find out when we're coming in 00:29:27.20\00:29:28.76 as a consultant team with ACTS 911. 00:29:28.80\00:29:31.03 We want to help your church grow. 00:29:31.07\00:29:32.67 We want to help you identify your unique church's purpose. 00:29:32.70\00:29:37.71 And so, these 28 questions are designed in a way. 00:29:37.74\00:29:41.11 We're going to just choose three maybe for example. 00:29:41.14\00:29:43.58 And so, how your church rates in points, 00:29:43.61\00:29:47.98 whether you're going to be a growing church 00:29:48.02\00:29:49.72 or a dying church? 00:29:49.75\00:29:51.35 And so, let's, let's have fun with three little questions. 00:29:51.39\00:29:54.32 Now, I'm gonna, I'm gonna look at the sheet for just a minute. 00:29:54.36\00:29:57.29 Autumn has chosen three that she kind of liked. 00:29:57.33\00:30:00.20 And so, the first one is number five on the sheet 00:30:00.23\00:30:03.60 that you saw there. 00:30:03.63\00:30:05.03 Our congregation knows what the community's needs are 00:30:05.07\00:30:09.24 and meets them. 00:30:09.27\00:30:10.61 And the responses are from one to five. 00:30:10.64\00:30:11.97 One to five. 00:30:12.01\00:30:13.34 Five being very informed, one being ignorant. 00:30:13.38\00:30:16.85 Now, if it's one, you know, your church is out of touch. 00:30:16.88\00:30:20.35 And so, you're trying to prompt that church 00:30:20.38\00:30:22.25 with the right questions to have them think about things 00:30:22.28\00:30:24.45 for action steps afterwards. 00:30:24.49\00:30:26.35 So not only do you help go through the survey 00:30:26.39\00:30:28.52 with the congregation, but the action, 00:30:28.56\00:30:31.73 the outcome, the action plan afterwards. 00:30:31.76\00:30:34.96 You work with the church to say wow 00:30:35.00\00:30:37.23 and as you're going around with your leaders and members. 00:30:37.27\00:30:40.14 So, this survey is designed in that. 00:30:40.17\00:30:42.04 We've talked about five a lot, 00:30:42.07\00:30:43.77 actually so far meeting those needs. 00:30:43.81\00:30:45.71 Now, the next question that you've circled actually 00:30:45.74\00:30:48.61 is our doctrines are focused on God's love from one to five. 00:30:48.64\00:30:53.65 How do you find, 00:30:53.68\00:30:55.02 that's very important within a church congregation? 00:30:55.05\00:30:57.75 It's so important to just show God's love 00:30:57.79\00:31:00.09 I think our generation, 00:31:00.12\00:31:02.06 you know, wants to see the action. 00:31:02.09\00:31:04.46 We want to see something that's actually tangible. 00:31:04.49\00:31:07.26 And to say, okay, 00:31:07.30\00:31:08.63 how are we reaching these needs to the community 00:31:08.66\00:31:10.57 when we have so many internal problems. 00:31:10.60\00:31:13.34 You know, we have these problems that... 00:31:13.37\00:31:15.90 We have hypocrisy, 00:31:15.94\00:31:17.31 we have different things going on 00:31:17.34\00:31:18.81 that we want to see something tangible 00:31:18.84\00:31:20.81 so, you know, as we hear God's word in the church, 00:31:20.84\00:31:24.11 as we read God's word on our own. 00:31:24.15\00:31:26.11 You know, we want to do something and say, 00:31:26.15\00:31:27.85 "Okay, how can we do this." 00:31:27.88\00:31:29.62 And so focusing on God's love, 00:31:29.65\00:31:31.52 I think is the best way shown in through actions. 00:31:31.55\00:31:35.19 When she grew up kind of having fun with us. 00:31:35.22\00:31:37.36 Let's take the Sabbath for example. 00:31:37.39\00:31:39.46 Rather than focusing on the thou 00:31:39.49\00:31:41.30 shalt not do whatever and don't eat the following. 00:31:41.33\00:31:44.83 You focus on the positive. 00:31:44.87\00:31:46.67 God's love says, you know, 00:31:46.70\00:31:48.07 there's a special day that God blessed. 00:31:48.10\00:31:50.41 Do you like blessings? 00:31:50.44\00:31:51.84 So, you're focusing on the positive. 00:31:51.87\00:31:53.24 You're extenuating. Yeah. 00:31:53.27\00:31:54.61 Isn't that wonderful 00:31:54.64\00:31:55.98 that God has created us to be healthy, 00:31:56.01\00:31:57.78 the temple of God. 00:31:57.81\00:31:59.15 He wants us to be, he wants us to live long. 00:31:59.18\00:32:01.55 How can we do that? 00:32:01.58\00:32:03.15 Well, millennials love to hear that positive action. 00:32:03.18\00:32:07.46 Right. 00:32:07.49\00:32:08.82 And so, ACTS 911 is all about acts, 00:32:08.86\00:32:11.86 action, churches. 00:32:11.89\00:32:13.73 You want to be actively involved. 00:32:13.76\00:32:15.90 You want to look back at the Book of Acts and find out, 00:32:15.93\00:32:18.90 how can we become a vibrant church like that. 00:32:18.93\00:32:21.74 So the last question we'll have fun with. 00:32:21.77\00:32:23.71 This was 12 you've circled. 00:32:23.74\00:32:25.64 How we live is more important 00:32:25.67\00:32:28.04 than what we say as a congregation? 00:32:28.08\00:32:30.25 And I think that just, you know, 00:32:30.28\00:32:31.61 ties into the prior one number seven is, 00:32:31.65\00:32:35.25 you know, that we want to be able to see. 00:32:35.28\00:32:39.35 You know, we're saying so many things, 00:32:39.39\00:32:41.02 we hear a lot of things but when we see the action, 00:32:41.06\00:32:44.36 that's the most important thing. 00:32:44.39\00:32:45.73 The gospel in action. Yes. 00:32:45.76\00:32:47.93 Matter of fact, this is crazy. 00:32:47.96\00:32:50.30 I mean, I'm sitting here soaking this up, 00:32:50.33\00:32:51.77 I've been pretty quiet as an interviewer. 00:32:51.80\00:32:53.37 Lot of times I'm more interactive 00:32:53.40\00:32:55.30 and I'll become that in just a few moments 00:32:55.34\00:32:56.84 but I'm hearing my sermon play itself out, 00:32:56.87\00:32:59.67 the sermon I just preached, it's called the Deception. 00:32:59.71\00:33:02.58 And the deception was thinking, that what you say 00:33:02.61\00:33:05.11 and what you do has no impact on your salvation. 00:33:05.15\00:33:07.05 Yes. 00:33:07.08\00:33:08.42 And, you know, it's a comparison 00:33:08.45\00:33:09.78 between the Pharisee who said thank God, 00:33:09.82\00:33:11.15 I'm not like other men, and he began to accentuate 00:33:11.19\00:33:13.76 all of his doctrinal accuracies. 00:33:13.79\00:33:15.72 I tithe that everything I have, you know... 00:33:15.76\00:33:18.89 I keep the Sabbath. 00:33:18.93\00:33:20.73 And but the other one who was a tax collector says. 00:33:20.76\00:33:24.03 You know be, be merciful to me a sinner, 00:33:24.07\00:33:26.33 beating his breast and not feeling his worthiness. 00:33:26.37\00:33:29.10 And we can create a chasm between those who need 00:33:29.14\00:33:31.84 to be closer to Christ, and He stood afar off. 00:33:31.87\00:33:34.48 And with this concept, there are many in the community 00:33:34.51\00:33:37.18 that are far off, 00:33:37.21\00:33:38.85 because we are creating such an un-welcomed atmosphere 00:33:38.88\00:33:41.42 by our doctrinal... 00:33:41.45\00:33:44.82 Let me use this word here, by our doctrinal roadblocks. 00:33:44.85\00:33:48.79 Now doctrines are not roadblocks. 00:33:48.82\00:33:50.69 But the way you present them can become roadblock. 00:33:50.73\00:33:53.40 Want to just clarify that. 00:33:53.43\00:33:54.86 So I'm seeing that here that these things 00:33:54.90\00:33:58.37 that God has established to be a positive. 00:33:58.40\00:34:01.44 Yes. 00:34:01.47\00:34:02.80 Can become a negative based on how you present them. 00:34:02.84\00:34:04.97 How you present it. Everyone reacts differently. 00:41:43.57\00:41:46.94 So, in that experience that you're able to connect 00:41:46.97\00:41:50.14 with the person and to put your hand on their shoulder 00:41:50.17\00:41:52.54 and to say, I'm here for you, I'm not leaving you until, 00:41:52.57\00:41:56.38 you know, whatever situation he is through that 00:41:56.41\00:41:58.55 we can talk this through or even just presence. 00:41:58.58\00:42:01.58 You know, some people just need the presence, 00:42:01.62\00:42:03.35 the embrace to cover them, you know, with a blanket, 00:42:03.39\00:42:06.65 different things like that to practically to calm them down. 00:42:06.69\00:42:08.86 Sometimes not to say anything at all 00:42:08.89\00:42:10.33 but just to be there with them to hold their finger, 00:42:10.36\00:42:14.00 hand on the shoulder. 00:42:14.03\00:42:15.36 Would you like us to illustrate? 00:42:15.40\00:42:17.00 Sure, if you feel comfortable doing that. 00:42:17.03\00:42:19.37 Now, talking about that I know over a ministry 00:42:19.40\00:42:21.07 that there are some cases, where in homes, 00:42:21.10\00:42:23.54 where there's a trauma in the family. 00:42:23.57\00:42:25.04 Oh, yes. 00:42:25.07\00:42:26.41 And the child has to be removed 00:42:26.44\00:42:27.78 for this particular ministry that, 00:42:27.81\00:42:29.31 when they show up to, have the child removed, 00:42:29.34\00:42:31.68 they have a teddy bear. 00:42:31.71\00:42:33.05 They have a blanket, they have all those tools 00:42:33.08\00:42:35.85 that would bring comfort to the child. 00:42:35.88\00:42:37.92 And that child immediately grabs onto that toy, 00:42:37.95\00:42:41.12 that blanket and becomes somewhat 00:42:41.16\00:42:43.02 of an immediate comfort to them to know that 00:42:43.06\00:42:45.29 they're not just being put in a cold 00:42:45.33\00:42:47.46 calculated sterile environment, 00:42:47.50\00:42:50.10 where they're separated from the people that they love. 00:42:50.13\00:42:52.73 And then, they're welcomed in, I guess along that line. 00:42:52.77\00:42:55.74 So, you're bridging that something 00:42:55.77\00:42:57.44 they're familiar with in showing compassion, 00:42:57.47\00:42:59.67 building a relationship. 00:42:59.71\00:43:01.51 So, we're going to illustrate here 00:43:01.54\00:43:03.68 for example in a church setting. 00:43:03.71\00:43:05.05 This is happening more and more around the world. 00:43:05.08\00:43:07.95 Things that you would never expect, 00:43:07.98\00:43:09.68 but when you're not prepared for it, 00:43:09.72\00:43:12.99 it can be disastrous. 00:43:13.02\00:43:14.66 Let's say, we're in a church setting, 00:43:14.69\00:43:16.12 I'm not going to... 00:43:16.16\00:43:17.49 I'm not going to give you everything ahead of time. 00:43:17.53\00:43:19.23 But we're going to illustrate, 00:43:19.26\00:43:20.60 this is happening in a church setting now. 00:43:20.63\00:43:24.33 Offering has just been taken, okay. 00:43:24.37\00:43:27.74 And something happens as we're all ready to be 00:43:27.77\00:43:32.01 fed with a great spiritual thing. 00:43:32.04\00:43:34.01 But something far different Satan had in mind happens next. 00:43:34.04\00:43:38.41 That's something that, you know, 00:43:38.45\00:43:40.38 we can relate as 00:43:40.42\00:43:41.75 different terrorist attacks are happening, 00:43:41.78\00:43:44.39 to get back into the situation of, 00:43:44.42\00:43:46.22 you know, the offering has just been taken 00:43:46.25\00:43:48.46 and there's someone that comes in, 00:43:48.49\00:43:50.63 a robber wanting to get all of the money. 00:43:50.66\00:43:54.26 You know, whether it's Saturday, 00:43:54.30\00:43:55.83 whether it's whatever day. 00:43:55.86\00:43:57.43 People want money today. That's unfortunate in case. 00:43:57.47\00:44:00.24 That's true. 00:44:00.27\00:44:01.60 So, you know, they come in, and they, 00:44:01.64\00:44:03.61 you know, they have a gun. 00:44:03.64\00:44:05.17 And they say, "Okay, give me all the money." 00:44:05.21\00:44:07.71 And the members, can you imagine I mean, 00:44:07.74\00:44:10.31 seeing a gun, seeing money. 00:44:10.35\00:44:12.25 You don't know where your life is going at that point. 00:44:12.28\00:44:14.32 So let's say, I'm the pastor, okay? 00:44:14.35\00:44:16.95 You and I were up front now, this is just taking place. 00:44:16.99\00:44:19.75 What do you as a pastor do when all of a sudden 00:44:19.79\00:44:22.76 this began spiraling as it were out of control? 00:44:22.79\00:44:25.99 You faint. 00:44:26.03\00:44:27.83 And that's very real. Fainting. 00:44:27.86\00:44:30.27 Go into shock, because remember up to 70 percent of people 00:44:30.30\00:44:34.24 have no medical conditions at all. 00:44:34.27\00:44:36.37 They go into shock and can die. 00:44:36.40\00:44:38.27 Just over the trauma, just over the stress. 00:44:38.31\00:44:42.54 So, we're going to role play this a little bit. 00:44:42.58\00:44:43.91 Okay. 00:44:43.95\00:44:45.28 And let's see how we can help at the stress level. 00:44:45.31\00:44:48.02 She is going to be the ballistic member. 00:44:48.05\00:44:51.69 You always have the screamers. 00:44:51.72\00:44:53.05 You gonna be able to. 00:44:53.09\00:44:54.42 And I try not to scream too much into the mike. 00:44:54.46\00:44:56.93 All right, go ahead. 00:44:56.96\00:44:58.33 Oh, my goodness! 00:44:58.36\00:44:59.69 What is this person doing? 00:44:59.73\00:45:01.40 He wants to take the money. 00:45:01.43\00:45:02.76 He takes all is right here beside me. 00:45:02.80\00:45:04.57 What do I do? 00:45:04.60\00:45:05.93 Hello, my name is David. 00:45:05.97\00:45:07.30 And what is your name? 00:45:07.34\00:45:08.67 Penelopi. 00:45:08.70\00:45:10.04 Penelopi? 00:45:10.07\00:45:11.41 Yes. 00:45:11.44\00:45:12.77 Penelopi, I know you're asking a very good question. 00:45:12.81\00:45:14.48 You've just seen something very terrible happen. 00:45:14.51\00:45:17.15 But, you know, 00:45:17.18\00:45:18.51 there's something we do as a church, 00:45:18.55\00:45:20.02 it's called a comprehensive emergency management plan 00:45:20.05\00:45:22.65 how to help. 00:45:22.68\00:45:24.02 Okay, so there's a plan?
