And you've got your friend with you there. 00:02:08.96\00:02:10.89 Yeah. 00:02:10.93\00:02:12.26 There is a story with that guitar. 00:02:12.29\00:02:14.26 There is. There is. Yeah. Yeah. 00:02:14.30\00:02:16.00 This guitar I bought when I was 16-years-old 00:02:16.03\00:02:21.04 and it's a, I think it's a 1964 or 5 or something like that 00:02:21.07\00:02:26.88 I'm not surely exactly 00:02:26.91\00:02:28.24 but I bought it when I was 16-years-old 00:02:28.28\00:02:30.55 and I kept it till I think I was 19 00:02:30.58\00:02:33.72 and I think the day that I was married, 00:02:33.75\00:02:36.05 I married Melody's mother Kay. 00:02:36.08\00:02:38.35 The day we got married I needed some money, right, 00:02:38.39\00:02:41.69 as you got to go on a honeymoon 00:02:41.72\00:02:43.32 like I think down to Maryland 00:02:43.36\00:02:44.69 or something 30 minutes away 00:02:44.73\00:02:47.26 but so I sold this guitar to a pastor, 00:02:47.30\00:02:52.07 a Baptist Pastor Ted Harvey who was a friend of the family. 00:02:52.10\00:02:55.27 My folks had known Ted for many years. 00:02:55.30\00:02:58.61 And years went by, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 00:02:58.64\00:03:03.18 what have you, maybe 35 years and one day we were out 00:03:03.21\00:03:07.45 here at 3ABN and he showed up, Pastor Ted Harvey showed up 00:03:07.48\00:03:13.46 and said "Hey, I got something that I want to give you," 00:03:13.49\00:03:15.89 and brought in this guitar and I was like, wow. 00:03:15.92\00:03:19.33 You know, be kind of like getting your-- 00:03:19.36\00:03:20.70 if you had a 1957 Chevy weren't used and nice going 00:03:20.73\00:03:23.67 getting it back. 00:03:23.70\00:03:25.03 My bother Kenny had one, he is not gonna get that back 00:03:25.07\00:03:26.94 I'm pretty sure, you know, they will be very valuable 00:03:26.97\00:03:29.77 but this is not so valuable and it's worth a lot of money. 00:03:29.80\00:03:34.54 You know, it's a Gibson guitar it may be worth 00:03:34.58\00:03:36.88 couple thousand dollars, I don't know. 00:03:36.91\00:03:38.25 I mean, it's not like, 00:03:38.28\00:03:39.61 you know, tremendous amount of money 00:03:39.65\00:03:40.98 but what it does for you for your memories 00:03:41.02\00:03:42.85 and just taking you back in time 00:03:42.88\00:03:45.32 and when you are 16-year-old and used to play music on it 00:03:45.35\00:03:49.82 and so it's really neat to have it back. 00:03:49.86\00:03:51.46 So I thank Brother Ted Harvey for giving this guitar. 00:03:51.49\00:03:54.76 He didn't sell it to me. 00:03:54.80\00:03:56.13 Said, hey, I just want you have it 00:03:56.16\00:03:57.73 and so we've been friends 00:03:57.77\00:03:59.30 and haven't seen him in quite a few years. 00:03:59.33\00:04:01.04 So thank you so much. 00:04:01.07\00:04:02.40 It's really neat and it's got a, 00:04:02.44\00:04:04.07 it's got a pretty nice little sound to for it. 00:04:04.11\00:04:06.04 No, it's not a big guitar, 00:04:11.05\00:04:12.38 you know, it's not a big guitar. 00:04:12.41\00:04:13.75 No, it's a small but it's kind of little mellow. 00:04:13.78\00:04:15.12 You know, I like it. It's really nice. 00:04:21.86\00:04:25.99 I grew up in a musical family, some of folk know 00:04:26.03\00:04:29.40 my mom and dad were country western singers. 00:04:29.43\00:04:32.20 My mother when she was alive would say, 00:04:32.23\00:04:33.70 now, remember don't talk too much about me. 00:04:33.74\00:04:36.27 She played the piano, 00:04:36.30\00:04:37.64 Rinky Tink, we called the piano. 00:04:37.67\00:04:39.01 We borrowing the style and she said, 00:04:39.04\00:04:41.21 now I was only out in a few months, 00:04:41.24\00:04:42.78 you know, but your dad was one out there 00:04:42.81\00:04:45.41 singing for a number of years with a friend of his, 00:04:45.45\00:04:47.42 Bernie Smith and Jack-- 00:04:47.45\00:04:49.38 and my uncle Charlie Rice played the base. 00:04:49.42\00:04:51.05 They did country western style. 00:04:51.09\00:04:52.92 So I grew up and grew up in the '60s 00:04:52.95\00:04:56.12 I was in high school in the '60s. 00:04:56.16\00:04:58.49 That's pretty scary, that's almost 50 years ago. 00:04:58.53\00:05:00.70 Yeah, late '60s though. 00:05:00.73\00:05:02.66 And you know that, yeah, you know that. 00:05:02.70\00:05:04.37 Well, we started I think, we started about '65 00:05:04.40\00:05:06.77 because me and you are the same age. 00:05:06.80\00:05:08.14 So I know when you were in school too, 00:05:08.17\00:05:10.44 C.A. Murray, right. 00:05:10.47\00:05:13.48 You're the atheist child. That's right. That's right. 00:05:13.51\00:05:15.48 But you think about that, that's a long time ago. 00:05:15.51\00:05:17.48 It is. It is. 00:05:17.51\00:05:18.85 But my folks, my dad had become a Christian 00:05:18.88\00:05:22.85 actually before that when I was very, very young. 00:05:22.88\00:05:25.52 My mother actually became and Adventist Christian 00:05:25.55\00:05:28.49 when I was born, the year I was born 1951 00:05:28.52\00:05:31.73 and my dad I think five years later, 00:05:31.76\00:05:33.29 but he always had a little room in the house 00:05:33.33\00:05:35.53 we call music room. 00:05:35.56\00:05:36.90 He had little real, real tape recording. 00:05:36.93\00:05:38.27 Friends would come over and he would still do 00:05:38.30\00:05:40.24 just for fun some of the country songs 00:05:40.27\00:05:42.00 and some gospel songs. 00:05:42.04\00:05:43.81 And so I kind of grew up with that the music. 00:05:43.84\00:05:46.74 My brother Tommy is a great piano player 00:05:46.78\00:05:48.64 and each of my brothers Kenny play guitar a little bit, 00:05:48.68\00:05:51.11 Ronnie played bass a little bit and I played little guitar 00:05:51.15\00:05:53.52 but none of us are great. 00:05:53.55\00:05:55.35 Tommy went out there, he is a great musician studio 00:05:55.38\00:05:58.79 the rest of us we just kind of enjoyed it 00:05:58.82\00:06:01.82 and from time to time that I was one of those 00:06:01.86\00:06:04.19 if it was ball season, if it's basketball 00:06:04.23\00:06:06.33 or, you know, I didn't care if it's-- 00:06:06.36\00:06:08.23 You kind of round ball, yeah. 00:06:08.26\00:06:09.60 Ping pong and winter time anything that I could hit 00:06:09.63\00:06:12.63 knock around on, you know, that's what I like to do. 00:06:12.67\00:06:15.00 So I never really spent a lot of time playing guitar. 00:06:15.04\00:06:18.41 I still don't, I probably I don't know 00:06:18.44\00:06:19.97 if I play two or three hours a year. 00:06:20.01\00:06:22.51 Now, we won't see playing that much really 00:06:22.54\00:06:24.71 but it seems to be kind of natural. 00:06:24.75\00:06:26.48 When did you first start, when you pick a guitar? 00:06:26.51\00:06:28.65 Oh, wow. 00:06:28.68\00:06:30.02 I'm not even sure as probably five or six, 00:06:30.05\00:06:31.75 seven-years-old, you know, young boys 00:06:31.79\00:06:33.89 like to emulate their father. 00:06:33.92\00:06:36.46 My dad I would seem set around playing all the time 00:06:36.49\00:06:38.76 so he wound teach me chords, G chord, 00:06:38.79\00:06:41.23 you know, C chord, D chord, very basic 00:06:41.26\00:06:44.17 lot of country songs are just G, C and D, 00:06:44.20\00:06:46.37 you know, and naturally that would be one, 00:06:46.40\00:06:48.87 four and five but it's G, C and D for instance. 00:06:48.90\00:06:52.77 But I would pick up the guitar and then I remember 00:06:52.81\00:06:55.08 about the third grade I read a book by Stephen Foster 00:06:55.11\00:06:59.18 and he was a songwriter wrote "Way Down Upon Swanee River" 00:06:59.21\00:07:02.52 and I said, ma, I think I would like to be a songwriter 00:07:02.55\00:07:05.59 and I actually kind to remember I didn't practice 00:07:05.62\00:07:08.46 and didn't plan on doing it but I kind of remember 00:07:08.49\00:07:10.33 the first song I ever wrote is about a nine-year-old. 00:07:10.36\00:07:14.03 Now maybe I could try here. 00:07:14.06\00:07:16.60 See what key. 00:07:16.63\00:07:18.10 I like to help my mommy and my daddy too 00:07:18.13\00:07:22.47 I would like to be like Jesus all day through 00:07:22.50\00:07:26.68 I'm Jesus little helper I do my very best 00:07:26.71\00:07:30.75 I know He is at my house a very welcome guest 00:07:30.78\00:07:34.85 I know that He is with me everywhere I go 00:07:34.88\00:07:38.82 I'll put my trust in Jesus that I know. 00:07:38.85\00:07:44.83 Kind of low form here but-- 00:07:44.86\00:07:46.19 Well, well done. Well done. 00:07:46.23\00:07:47.56 That's why I remember so I started doing that 00:07:47.60\00:07:50.10 and then little later on I wrote a couple of songs 00:07:50.13\00:07:52.20 and I didn't do too much writing 00:07:52.23\00:07:53.84 but I would sit down specially in the winter time, 00:07:53.87\00:07:56.77 you know, we would get around the piano 00:07:56.81\00:07:58.37 or whatever and on Sabbaths. 00:07:58.41\00:08:00.78 You know, on Sabbath we would get around 00:08:00.81\00:08:02.24 and everybody would pick up an instrument and try to play 00:08:02.28\00:08:05.25 something the other wasn't playing. 00:08:05.28\00:08:06.61 We didn't-- 00:08:06.65\00:08:07.98 we were very poor actually so we didn't really 00:08:08.02\00:08:10.02 and didn't have a TV when we were young. 00:08:10.05\00:08:11.62 In fact, when I was really young 00:08:11.65\00:08:12.99 we didn't have inside bathrooms doors, 00:08:13.02\00:08:15.39 probably 11 or 12-years-old but my father was disabled 00:08:15.42\00:08:18.66 at very young age 36 and so, you know, we didn't have 00:08:18.69\00:08:23.60 like you didn't go buy horns and buy instruments 00:08:23.63\00:08:26.40 or rent them but a guitar, you can pretty well 00:08:26.43\00:08:28.47 know guitar somewhere an old bass pretty cheap 00:08:28.50\00:08:30.57 or you can trade for them. 00:08:30.61\00:08:31.97 Then we had an old up bright piano that, 00:08:32.01\00:08:34.41 you know, my mother would play and so 00:08:34.44\00:08:36.58 but we would sit around the house 00:08:36.61\00:08:38.31 and we would do songs. 00:08:38.35\00:08:41.18 Jesus, keep me near the cross... 00:08:41.22\00:08:47.29 My dad would play it like this. 00:08:47.32\00:08:48.66 There a precious fountain 00:08:48.69\00:08:55.43 Free to all, a healing stream 00:08:55.46\00:09:02.34 Flows from Calvary's mountain. 00:09:02.37\00:09:08.88 And that's kind of stuff you would hear around the house 00:09:08.91\00:09:12.08 when you weren't doing 00:09:12.11\00:09:13.45 but my daddy did a lot of the country song, 00:09:13.48\00:09:15.78 you know, "Make the world go away, get it off" 00:09:15.82\00:09:19.02 you know that type of thing. 00:09:19.05\00:09:22.09 Jim Reeves and I grew up Eddy Arnold 00:09:22.12\00:09:24.63 and a lot of those flock but I have some reason, 00:09:24.66\00:09:28.30 C.A., that I always like stuff that I didn't know how to play. 00:09:28.33\00:09:32.83 And when I was in high school, you know, 00:09:32.87\00:09:35.37 the Beatles were big back then in late 60s 00:09:35.40\00:09:37.67 and I don't know all these other groups. 00:09:37.71\00:09:39.67 And I couldn't stand that stuff and everybody say-- 00:09:39.71\00:09:42.31 because very few kids in my high school played, 00:09:42.34\00:09:45.91 you know, everybody want to get a rock band 00:09:45.95\00:09:47.42 but not that many people play guitar. 00:09:47.45\00:09:49.95 Hey, Shelton, you can play let's get, 00:09:49.98\00:09:51.52 let's start this rock band. 00:09:51.55\00:09:52.89 I say, I hate that stuff, you know. 00:09:52.92\00:09:54.96 And part of it where I was raised been a Christian 00:09:54.99\00:09:57.33 in a Christian home and then part of it 00:09:57.36\00:09:59.23 I just didn't like the style 00:09:59.26\00:10:00.60 and honestly I thought that stuff 00:10:00.63\00:10:02.76 there is no appeal for me whatsoever. 00:10:02.80\00:10:06.03 And so I would listen to stuff and sometimes 00:10:06.07\00:10:09.40 I would hear stuff like when I was 16 00:10:09.44\00:10:11.24 I was trying to play... 00:10:11.27\00:10:12.61 "Look At Me." 00:10:20.58\00:10:22.18 You know, that type so that really is kind of 00:10:22.22\00:10:24.42 like the big band stuff and I said, 00:10:24.45\00:10:26.92 you know, I really going back into the 40s and 50s. 00:10:26.96\00:10:29.42 I really enjoyed those chords. 00:10:29.46\00:10:31.26 So you just had a different, a different ear. 00:10:31.29\00:10:34.23 And though you say you didn't play that much 00:10:34.26\00:10:36.03 I know later on 00:10:36.06\00:10:37.40 you actually began to take groups of Nashville 00:10:37.43\00:10:38.77 and you kind of got into it so that it seems 00:10:38.80\00:10:40.90 like this is kind of natural for you and your family. 00:10:40.94\00:10:42.90 Wasn't a great stretch for you even though 00:10:42.94\00:10:44.94 you didn't drive yourself to do it 00:10:44.97\00:10:47.34 but it was kind of natural to just pick up a guitar 00:10:47.38\00:10:49.34 and kind of hear music and do it. 00:10:49.38\00:10:50.71 Yeah, yeah. 00:10:50.75\00:10:52.08 There is music and there is just 00:10:52.11\00:10:53.45 and it's like anything else in life, 00:10:53.48\00:10:54.82 you know, I would like talk to young people now 00:10:54.85\00:10:56.85 our older folk, you know, there is all, 00:10:56.89\00:10:59.15 we all have certain gifts and abilities 00:10:59.19\00:11:01.76 but you have to hold nose. 00:11:01.79\00:11:03.29 In other words you can't just say okay, Lord, 00:11:03.32\00:11:05.26 I want to be a real good guitarist and never practice. 00:11:05.29\00:11:08.46 You know, Lord, I want to be a great speaker 00:11:08.50\00:11:10.73 and never practice speaking. 00:11:10.77\00:11:12.10 I mean, so we reap what we sow. 00:11:12.13\00:11:15.27 And if we-- 00:11:15.30\00:11:16.64 excuse me, if we-- 00:11:16.67\00:11:18.01 if God has given us a gift 00:11:18.04\00:11:20.81 then we have to use that gift, right. 00:11:20.84\00:11:23.75 I mean, anything that my dad would tell me that son, 00:11:23.78\00:11:25.95 you are not gonna get any better 00:11:25.98\00:11:27.32 unless you practice whatever you do. 00:11:27.35\00:11:29.02 And I guess I just didn't love it enough 00:11:29.05\00:11:30.85 to really stay with it 00:11:30.89\00:11:32.22 but enough that I could write songs 00:11:32.25\00:11:34.72 and I enjoyed it and I still do rarely but, 00:11:34.76\00:11:37.46 you know, sit around one night, two, three, 00:11:37.49\00:11:40.20 I don't know maybe four years ago 00:11:40.23\00:11:41.56 I was just sitting around the house. 00:11:41.60\00:11:42.93 I do this a lot and might be 10 or 11 o'clock, 00:11:42.96\00:11:46.17 it's quiet, one night I said, you know, Lord, 00:11:46.20\00:11:48.77 I just want to give You something. 00:11:48.80\00:11:50.74 And what do you give the Creator of the universe? 00:11:50.77\00:11:54.98 Really nothing. Yeah. 00:11:55.01\00:11:56.34 And I just kind of heard this small voice that said, 00:11:56.38\00:11:58.38 just give Him your praise. 00:11:58.41\00:12:00.18 And I said, oh, I can do that 00:12:00.22\00:12:01.65 and this little song came to me. 00:12:01.68\00:12:04.02 Oh, my praise 00:12:04.05\00:12:07.96 I give you all my praise 00:12:07.99\00:12:15.83 That's all I have to offer you 00:12:15.86\00:12:23.57 I now build a sanctuary deep 00:12:25.27\00:12:32.81 Within my heart 00:12:32.85\00:12:36.42 And all my praise 00:12:36.45\00:12:40.46 I offer up to you 00:12:40.49\00:12:43.76 And I thought how much I love You, Lord. 00:12:43.79\00:12:45.99 I love You, Lord 00:12:46.03\00:12:50.67 Oh, how I love you, Lord 00:12:50.70\00:12:57.81 I bear hardened soul to you 00:12:57.84\00:13:05.71 I'm an empty broken vessel 00:13:07.85\00:13:13.02 Filled with hurt and pain inside 00:13:13.05\00:13:18.73 Still I'll offer up 00:13:18.76\00:13:23.83 All my pains to you 00:13:23.87\00:13:29.27 And just little songs like that will come to me 00:13:29.30\00:13:31.81 and what I found out is not every song 00:13:31.84\00:13:34.71 is meant to bless the nation or to bless a world 00:13:34.74\00:13:37.98 but something they are just meant to bless me. 00:13:38.01\00:13:41.15 I've written songs and sang them 00:13:41.18\00:13:42.68 and thought well, people will, this will catch on 00:13:42.72\00:13:45.19 and didn't really seem to catch on 00:13:45.22\00:13:47.19 but to me every time I-- 00:13:47.22\00:13:48.72 this little song every time I sing it I'm blessed. 00:13:48.76\00:13:51.79 And one time I was coming back 00:13:51.83\00:13:53.16 from speaking in Nashville, I had E.T., with me 00:13:53.19\00:13:55.80 and we were as before we built our own studios here 00:13:55.83\00:13:59.37 we would record it in a studio 00:13:59.40\00:14:01.37 and I have told the story before. 00:14:01.40\00:14:03.37 Bobby All, the guitar player is now resting in Jesus. 00:14:03.41\00:14:07.44 He had a great sounding guitar that day 00:14:07.48\00:14:09.64 and so I was in the control room 00:14:09.68\00:14:11.01 and I said, Bobby, though the speakers. 00:14:11.05\00:14:13.31 Bobby, what kind of guitar you got? 00:14:13.35\00:14:15.28 Oh, it's Martin's. Well, that makes sense. 00:14:15.32\00:14:16.75 Martin is a great guitar. I said, what year? 00:14:16.79\00:14:19.12 I figure it's '50s, '60s or maybe 2000, 00:14:19.15\00:14:22.72 you know, maybe it's '90s back then. 00:14:22.76\00:14:25.13 And he said, that's a '73 and I said, '73 00:14:25.16\00:14:28.20 that's not Martin's best years. 00:14:28.23\00:14:29.60 They changed some of the bridging 00:14:29.63\00:14:31.37 and things inside and so I said, 00:14:31.40\00:14:33.44 they just didn't have-- and I said so finally 00:14:33.47\00:14:36.34 we took a break I went in 00:14:36.37\00:14:37.71 and that guitar sounded wonderful, C.A. 00:14:37.74\00:14:40.18 And I said, what did you do to this guitar? 00:14:40.21\00:14:42.14 You go and do a lot of shaving? He said, no, I aged it. 00:14:42.18\00:14:45.91 And I said, you aged it? 00:14:45.95\00:14:47.65 You know, how do you-- I thought he was being funny. 00:14:47.68\00:14:49.78 He said, no, I aged it. 00:14:49.82\00:14:51.29 And he said, you know, when you see an old violin 00:14:51.32\00:14:53.42 and they say, the older the better 00:14:53.46\00:14:55.39 it's not just because it's a hundred years old 00:14:55.42\00:14:57.46 and sit in the case but the more you play it 00:14:57.49\00:15:00.00 the more vibrations, the molecular structure 00:15:00.03\00:15:02.50 of the wood actually changes 00:15:02.53\00:15:04.27 and it will get this beautiful sound. 00:15:04.30\00:15:06.17 So he said, what I did with this guitar 00:15:06.20\00:15:09.24 I decided to age it so every day I would turn on 00:15:09.27\00:15:11.61 when I would leave to go to play. 00:15:11.64\00:15:13.58 He was a studio musician. 00:15:13.61\00:15:15.24 I would turn on my speakers and music really loud, 00:15:15.28\00:15:18.35 I would set my guitar in front of it 00:15:18.38\00:15:20.42 and it would vibrate all day long. 00:15:20.45\00:15:22.12 Are you kidding? And he said, I did that. 00:15:22.15\00:15:23.59 I don't know if it's two or three years whatever 00:15:23.62\00:15:25.25 and he said, listen how much better it sounds. 00:15:25.29\00:15:27.52 And sure enough and on the way home 00:15:27.56\00:15:29.59 I couldn't-- I was driving home 00:15:29.62\00:15:31.83 and I said, wow, that is amazing. 00:15:31.86\00:15:34.76 We take something that God created 00:15:34.80\00:15:37.03 we kill it cut it down, we take this tree, 00:15:37.07\00:15:39.27 we would cut it down, we do all sorts of stuff to it. 00:15:39.30\00:15:41.90 Everything from plain it, then once we get it all 00:15:41.94\00:15:44.64 where we want in standard then we put varnish 00:15:44.67\00:15:46.88 and lacquer and all kinds of things on it 00:15:46.91\00:15:49.48 so it can't breathe and we think it's dead 00:15:49.51\00:15:51.81 but somehow it's still, it's able to change 00:15:51.85\00:15:55.02 and still produce something beautiful for God. 00:15:55.05\00:15:58.12 And so on the home this little chorus 00:15:58.15\00:16:00.32 just came to me. 00:16:00.36\00:16:01.89 I love You, I love You, Lord 00:16:01.92\00:16:06.83 I love You, Lord, I really do 00:16:06.86\00:16:12.37 I love You, I love You, Lord 00:16:12.40\00:16:18.17 I love, You, Lord, I really do 00:16:18.21\00:16:23.91 My Savior, Creator, Redeemer and King 00:16:23.95\00:16:30.59 You are the reason I sing 00:16:30.62\00:16:36.16 I love You, I love You, Lord 00:16:36.19\00:16:41.86 I love, You, Lord, I really do 00:16:41.90\00:16:49.37 Let me pay you a compliment and then ask you a question. 00:16:49.40\00:16:53.51 And these shows are unscripted I'm not getting raise for this. 00:16:53.54\00:16:56.41 Absolutely, I had no idea 00:16:56.44\00:16:57.91 I was gonna do any of these songs. 00:16:57.95\00:17:00.48 But we believe everything you tell us 00:17:00.52\00:17:03.42 except when you say you don't think 00:17:03.45\00:17:04.89 you are a great singer 00:17:04.92\00:17:06.79 then we just kind of turn you off 00:17:06.82\00:17:08.82 because we here think you are 00:17:08.86\00:17:11.43 and I think, I think singing, Danny, 00:17:11.46\00:17:13.83 as you well know has more than just a voice quality 00:17:13.86\00:17:16.36 because you look at Willie Nelson or Jonny Cash 00:17:16.40\00:17:20.04 you talk about they are not, 00:17:20.07\00:17:21.40 you know, as far as great vocalist they are not 00:17:21.44\00:17:25.31 but they buy what they sell. 00:17:25.34\00:17:27.48 In other words they believe in it 00:17:27.51\00:17:28.84 that they are producing and that comes through 00:17:28.88\00:17:32.38 and I think we can all say that about you. 00:17:32.41\00:17:35.78 I think you got a fabulous voice 00:17:35.82\00:17:37.55 but I think more than the technical abilities 00:17:37.59\00:17:40.86 of your voice you buy what you sell. 00:17:40.89\00:17:43.63 When you are singing the person on the consuming end 00:17:43.66\00:17:46.96 believes this guy believes this stuff. 00:17:47.00\00:17:49.96 It's changed his life. 00:17:50.00\00:17:51.53 So what me through the process 00:17:51.57\00:17:54.87 do the words come first or the music comes first 00:17:54.90\00:17:56.91 or they both come first? 00:17:56.94\00:17:58.34 How do you create a song or it's just inspiration 00:17:58.37\00:18:00.68 so kind of helps you and you just begin to do it? 00:18:00.71\00:18:02.51 Well, music in general to me the message 00:18:02.54\00:18:05.01 is more important and I will hear singers 00:18:05.05\00:18:08.08 that people say even Christian singers, 00:18:08.12\00:18:09.98 oh, what a fabulous singer, listen to this singer. 00:18:10.02\00:18:13.15 Well, they will go up and when they are maybe 00:18:13.19\00:18:14.86 on some really high notes 00:18:14.89\00:18:16.22 I can't really understand the words. 00:18:16.26\00:18:18.43 So I don't think they are a great singer 00:18:18.46\00:18:21.06 and people is like, don't you think 00:18:21.10\00:18:22.83 this person is a great singer? 00:18:22.86\00:18:25.17 No. 00:18:25.20\00:18:26.53 Do they have a great instrument? 00:18:26.57\00:18:28.17 Absolutely. 00:18:28.20\00:18:29.54 But what makes it great-- it's like a great preacher. 00:18:29.57\00:18:32.01 What if C.A., you get up and you got all the moves 00:18:32.04\00:18:35.21 and I mean you are really coming down 00:18:35.24\00:18:36.95 but I can't understand half of what you are saying 00:18:36.98\00:18:39.91 then, you know, you are not a great preacher to me 00:18:39.95\00:18:42.72 if that's what you are gonna do. 00:18:42.75\00:18:44.09 Yeah. So music is same way. 00:18:44.12\00:18:46.05 The devil has done everything and in Christian music back in, 00:18:46.09\00:18:50.26 you know, 60s and 70s started telling lies to people. 00:18:50.29\00:18:54.90 Hey, we got to look and sound like the world. 00:18:54.93\00:18:57.27 And you get all these groups 00:18:57.30\00:18:58.63 and you don't know if they are Christian groups 00:18:58.67\00:19:00.00 they call them Christian Rock. 00:19:00.04\00:19:01.50 I mean, just think about that, that be like Christian sinner, 00:19:01.54\00:19:04.74 I'm a Christian sinner to me, you know. 00:19:04.77\00:19:06.88 You know, what you see is what you get. 00:19:06.91\00:19:09.34 I mean, you know, so we do all these things 00:19:09.38\00:19:12.15 and we try to please people rather than please God. 00:19:12.18\00:19:15.12 We forget the importance of everything we do. 00:19:15.15\00:19:17.95 We are message driven. 00:19:17.99\00:19:20.06 So it's not how good-- I have a-- 00:19:20.09\00:19:22.86 so I'm not humble because I know that 00:19:22.89\00:19:25.46 I have a good ear for music, 00:19:25.49\00:19:27.36 God has given me a good ear here in the studios. 00:19:27.40\00:19:30.03 I mean, I can listen and any instrument in orchestra 00:19:30.07\00:19:33.03 if somebody is out of tune, one bad of the guitar 00:19:33.07\00:19:35.17 has got a E string I hear that 00:19:35.20\00:19:37.01 and I can say, hey, you know, your E string is flat 00:19:37.04\00:19:40.54 or I will say the tuber that you are sharp on that note. 00:19:40.58\00:19:44.01 You know, if it's an A flat you got to do that again. 00:19:44.05\00:19:46.72 So I have that ability as far as ear 00:19:46.75\00:19:51.52 because my ear is good I realize I don't have 00:19:51.55\00:19:53.82 that great of an instrument. 00:19:53.86\00:19:55.29 So I try to be objective to myself. 00:19:55.32\00:19:57.43 So, you know, say me pushing myself 00:19:57.46\00:19:59.43 and pushing to sin and I have over the years 00:19:59.46\00:20:02.60 because music help in 3ABN in the beginning. 00:20:02.63\00:20:05.63 Melody and I would go to churches and sing 00:20:05.67\00:20:08.27 and that in itself is one of reasons that 00:20:08.30\00:20:11.67 that I felt the need that there need to be 00:20:11.71\00:20:13.54 a television station giving 00:20:13.58\00:20:15.11 the three angels' messages to the world. 00:20:15.14\00:20:17.15 There was no Adventist television stations 00:20:17.18\00:20:18.91 on planet earth yet Melody and I were singing 00:20:18.95\00:20:21.68 on numbers of other TV stations and I would say, Lord, well, 00:20:21.72\00:20:24.65 where are we as Seventh-day Adventist in the media 00:20:24.69\00:20:27.99 and we want there. 00:20:28.02\00:20:29.36 So music helped and when we went to church 00:20:29.39\00:20:31.46 as we would sing and I would talk about 3ABN 00:20:31.49\00:20:34.33 but I do feel an anointing when I sing and I dedicate 00:20:34.36\00:20:38.03 whatever I sing to the Lord. 00:20:38.07\00:20:40.04 So I say, Lord, don't let the people hear me 00:20:40.07\00:20:42.37 let them hear what You want them to hear. 00:20:42.40\00:20:45.37 So it's not about how great you sing 00:20:45.41\00:20:48.01 for those of you out there what great instrument. 00:20:48.04\00:20:50.21 I mean, you have people who have the great instrument 00:20:50.25\00:20:53.68 and they have the talent. 00:20:53.72\00:20:55.05 You know, there is Steve Darmody's 00:20:55.08\00:20:56.42 I mean, this guy has incredible voice. 00:20:56.45\00:21:00.12 And he blesses people but you don't have 00:21:00.16\00:21:02.96 to be a Steve Darmody to get up and sing for the Lord. 00:21:02.99\00:21:07.00 You know, you don't have to be anybody in particular 00:21:07.03\00:21:09.76 but whatever you do keep your focus 00:21:09.80\00:21:11.87 on the message, on your music. 00:21:11.90\00:21:14.57 The music should be lower then the words. 00:21:14.60\00:21:18.21 We go-- sometimes I go to churches 00:21:18.24\00:21:19.57 or I'm watching television, Christina television 00:21:19.61\00:21:22.84 and you hear all these great music 00:21:22.88\00:21:24.91 and you can hardly hear the words, C.A. 00:21:24.95\00:21:26.28 Not worthy. Yeah. Yeah. 00:21:26.31\00:21:27.65 So I say, now what good really is this doing 00:21:27.68\00:21:29.95 and even and let me go little bit further 00:21:29.98\00:21:32.85 I get a few people little bit maybe upset at me 00:21:32.89\00:21:36.19 but some of our churches for some reason 00:21:36.22\00:21:38.59 we have this thing about a piped organ. 00:21:38.63\00:21:41.23 Now this is this great instrument 00:21:41.26\00:21:43.03 and this is the way that you worship 00:21:43.06\00:21:44.73 some of our biggest churches and I go in there 00:21:44.77\00:21:47.84 and the organ is so loud 00:21:47.87\00:21:50.71 that you can't hear the people singing 00:21:50.74\00:21:52.47 and I can't hear myself singing 00:21:52.51\00:21:54.51 and we are doing all of this stuff 00:21:54.54\00:21:55.94 and the organ is just doing all this stuff 00:21:55.98\00:21:57.65 and I say to myself, you now, honestly, 00:21:57.68\00:22:00.72 you know, what is going on here? 00:22:00.75\00:22:02.08 What have we missed? 00:22:02.12\00:22:03.45 Are we trying to look like high church? 00:22:03.49\00:22:05.19 You know, is there a certain, 00:22:05.22\00:22:06.55 something we are trying to emulate? 00:22:06.59\00:22:08.42 So let's forget about all that. 00:22:08.46\00:22:10.13 Let's just go and praise the Lord 00:22:10.16\00:22:12.03 and just, you know, I'm not saying 00:22:12.06\00:22:13.80 we shouldn't do that type of music or whatever 00:22:13.83\00:22:15.76 but I'm saying let's don't put so much emphasis 00:22:15.80\00:22:18.17 because the same church if you went in 00:22:18.20\00:22:20.04 and took a soundtrack and same way the people's like, 00:22:20.07\00:22:22.77 oh, we don't like those, that track music it's too loud 00:22:22.80\00:22:27.01 but I can in and church pipe organ sometimes 00:22:27.04\00:22:29.64 which just about deafen you, 00:22:29.68\00:22:31.18 you know, and it will hurt your ears. 00:22:31.21\00:22:33.62 So it's a matter, but to me 00:22:33.65\00:22:35.45 it's always keep the message first 00:22:35.48\00:22:38.15 no matter what I'm saying 00:22:38.19\00:22:39.52 and no matter how many instruments 00:22:39.55\00:22:40.89 we've got behind us if the music is overriding 00:22:40.92\00:22:44.59 then to me it's not effective. 00:22:44.63\00:22:46.39 Yah, yeah, I agree and I have talked 00:22:46.43\00:22:48.06 with Steve Darmody about this because I think 00:22:48.10\00:22:49.90 ministry happens at the junction, 00:22:49.93\00:22:53.34 the interception of your best effort surrendered to God 00:22:53.37\00:22:57.97 and then God takes your best effort 00:22:58.01\00:22:59.84 ad you are surrendered spirit and He turns that into ministry 00:22:59.87\00:23:03.14 and then people on the consuming end are blessed 00:23:03.18\00:23:06.45 and you may not have the greatest voice 00:23:06.48\00:23:09.15 or you may not have the greatest 00:23:09.18\00:23:10.52 even technical talent but if you give God your best 00:23:10.55\00:23:13.39 and you surrender to Him, He makes that ministry 00:23:13.42\00:23:15.76 and you are good enough as you said, 00:23:15.79\00:23:18.33 you can hear and all of us here 00:23:18.36\00:23:20.50 who worked with you, you can say amen to that. 00:23:20.53\00:23:22.66 you know one suffering is out of tune 00:23:22.70\00:23:24.37 so God has given you that gift. 00:23:24.40\00:23:25.90 You turn around and surrendered that gift 00:23:25.93\00:23:27.54 back to Him 00:23:27.57\00:23:28.90 and that turned it into ministry. 00:23:28.94\00:23:30.27 Yeah, I really enjoyed producing music like 00:23:30.31\00:23:33.71 working with the Lari Goss. 00:23:33.74\00:23:35.08 I mean, what an incredible, 00:23:35.11\00:23:36.75 you know, what an incredible experience 00:23:36.78\00:23:39.18 that is to see a man that so full of music 00:23:39.21\00:23:42.48 and able to put it and write it down 00:23:42.52\00:23:46.12 and for people to play it 00:23:46.15\00:23:47.82 and, you know, to me that's such great praise 00:23:47.86\00:23:50.43 and Lari was such a humble guy. 00:23:50.46\00:23:52.63 He gave all honor and glory. 00:23:52.66\00:23:54.06 He is also resting in the Lord 00:23:54.10\00:23:55.53 but he gave all honor and glory and praise for what he does. 00:23:55.56\00:23:58.97 Somebody who never really studied music, 00:23:59.00\00:24:00.84 didn't go to the Juilliard School of Music 00:24:00.87\00:24:02.97 but on his own just began to right out music 00:24:03.00\00:24:06.01 and says I don't know how I did this and you know, 00:24:06.04\00:24:08.18 one of the greatest rangers in America. 00:24:08.21\00:24:09.78 So we want to just encourage you today 00:24:09.81\00:24:11.85 no matter what your talent is, we were talking about music 00:24:11.88\00:24:14.48 could be something else. 00:24:14.52\00:24:15.85 If you give it to God He is gonna bless it. 00:24:15.88\00:24:17.85 The blessing is on the go and that's all-- 00:24:17.89\00:24:20.36 Absolutely it's true. The blessing is on the God. 00:24:20.39\00:24:23.53 So whatever you do, whatever gifts God 00:24:23.56\00:24:25.86 has given you, you need to work at it. 00:24:25.89\00:24:27.83 C.A. Murray, when you first came 00:24:27.86\00:24:29.70 I didn't know you as a singer. 00:24:29.73\00:24:31.67 I thought about you as a preacher. 00:24:31.70\00:24:33.57 You sang with Melody and I that time 00:24:33.60\00:24:35.17 I went to New York, you know, when you sing 00:24:35.20\00:24:37.77 but when I heard you sing it seems like you gotten better 00:24:37.81\00:24:41.48 over the last few years. 00:24:41.51\00:24:43.14 As you got older not because you got older 00:24:43.18\00:24:46.01 but I think once you got here we had you singing more 00:24:46.05\00:24:49.15 and ask you to sing more 00:24:49.18\00:24:50.52 and so your voice has developed. 00:24:50.55\00:24:52.32 Now you this and you may have always had it 00:24:52.35\00:24:54.72 but I didn't hear much of you singing. 00:24:54.76\00:24:56.76 But now when I hear you sing I say, he's got a nice voice. 00:24:56.79\00:24:59.59 C.A. has got a pretty voice. You sing and you minister. 00:24:59.63\00:25:03.10 While you are singing to me that's so important 00:25:03.13\00:25:05.13 so thank you for what you do and you didn't limit yourself 00:25:05.17\00:25:09.07 to just preaching. 00:25:09.10\00:25:10.84 Well, thank you for pushing me. 00:25:10.87\00:25:13.17 Because it wasn't, it wasn't easy 00:25:13.21\00:25:15.64 but I agree with you that doing it 00:25:15.68\00:25:18.15 and surrendering it to God that makes it ministry. 00:25:18.18\00:25:21.32 You got a technical gift, God has given you this. 00:25:21.35\00:25:24.69 You take that give it back to Him 00:25:24.72\00:25:26.55 and then it becomes ministry. 00:25:26.59\00:25:27.92 I want to talk about your writing 00:25:27.96\00:25:29.29 because while Jim was here you had a chance to step back 00:25:29.32\00:25:33.09 from the day to day operations and you used that time 00:25:33.13\00:25:36.87 really to a flurry of songs and projects came out. 00:25:36.90\00:25:41.60 All of them have been a blessing. 00:25:41.64\00:25:42.97 You talk about some things just personal 00:25:43.00\00:25:44.34 but a lot of this stuff has been a blessing to the world. 00:25:44.37\00:25:47.31 Just got back from California last week on Friday evening 00:25:47.34\00:25:51.35 for I spoke someone sang a Pillars of Peace. 00:25:51.38\00:25:54.08 Over the London a few years ago 00:25:54.12\00:25:55.45 someone singing Pillars of Music, 00:25:55.48\00:25:56.82 so that things that are being produced here 00:25:56.85\00:25:59.25 are going around the world 00:25:59.29\00:26:00.92 and they are blessing people around the world. 00:26:00.96\00:26:02.82 Well, it's a privilege for me to work 00:26:02.86\00:26:05.49 and be able to do this and with Jim here 00:26:05.53\00:26:07.40 for those many years because he's retired now 00:26:07.43\00:26:09.93 so I'm back in that I don't know how many songs 00:26:09.96\00:26:12.17 I be writing now because I'm in there 00:26:12.20\00:26:14.64 everyday looking over the finances 00:26:14.67\00:26:16.14 and everything in the entire ministry 00:26:16.17\00:26:18.27 but, you know, I find myself, 00:26:18.31\00:26:20.21 one day I was just humming this song 00:26:20.24\00:26:22.48 and I said this turned out to be a children's song, 00:26:22.51\00:26:25.11 you know, and I said, well, the Lord 00:26:25.15\00:26:27.08 don't usually give me children's songs 00:26:27.12\00:26:28.95 so I just kind of filed it didn't think much about it 00:26:28.98\00:26:31.89 and seem like a week or so later here come another song 00:26:31.92\00:26:35.56 and then another song and another song 00:26:35.59\00:26:37.13 and what it happened is as I began to travel 00:26:37.16\00:26:39.76 from church to church and meet young people I said, 00:26:39.79\00:26:42.66 young people don't have their eyes on Jesus. 00:26:42.70\00:26:45.20 They are not looking to Jesus, they are looking to the world. 00:26:45.23\00:26:48.70 The music they listen to, 00:26:48.74\00:26:50.11 all the social media they are on 00:26:50.14\00:26:51.91 everything is pointing them away from the Bible 00:26:51.94\00:26:55.04 and particular as Seventh-day Adventist young people 00:26:55.08\00:26:57.81 they are looking away to other areas 00:26:57.85\00:27:01.92 rather than to stick with the truths 00:27:01.95\00:27:03.69 that God has given us to proclaim. 00:27:03.72\00:27:05.72 And so it's like the Lord began to give me songs. 00:27:05.75\00:27:07.96 He gave me songs on different doctrinal subjects. 00:27:07.99\00:27:12.06 On the Sabbath, the state of the dead, 00:27:12.09\00:27:14.00 you know, salvation, the second coming of Christ. 00:27:14.03\00:27:17.20 And so these songs began to flow out 00:27:17.23\00:27:19.80 and so we put together a little project, the first one 00:27:19.83\00:27:23.61 and so we got enough songs to do. 00:27:23.64\00:27:25.47 I said, hey, we can do a whole project 00:27:25.51\00:27:27.11 and we entitled it "Love Rules" 00:27:27.14\00:27:28.98 because it's telling you that Jesus since God says, 00:27:29.01\00:27:31.81 He is love, God is love that He rules the universe. 00:27:31.85\00:27:35.75 The devil may think he does 00:27:35.78\00:27:37.32 and rules our life but he doesn't. 00:27:37.35\00:27:39.39 In the end and always from the beginning 00:27:39.42\00:27:41.92 to the end God rules. 00:27:41.96\00:27:43.46 So we say, okay, if God is love then love rules. 00:27:43.49\00:27:48.06 And love is the, you know, universal language 00:27:48.10\00:27:51.20 and so we come up with that project 00:27:51.23\00:27:53.10 and so we did that I think about three years ago, 00:27:53.13\00:27:55.64 made a DVD then this past year we've done 00:27:55.67\00:27:58.34 what's called "It's A Beautiful World." 00:27:58.37\00:28:00.24 And another 10 or 11 songs came to me 00:28:00.28\00:28:03.28 and C.A., I didn't have to work at them. 00:28:03.31\00:28:05.01 These songs literally sometimes they were 30 minutes. 00:28:05.05\00:28:07.65 I hope they don't sound like them, 00:28:07.68\00:28:09.65 they were 30 minutes 00:28:09.68\00:28:11.72 and we will do a couple of those 00:28:11.75\00:28:13.15 if you want to a few of them. 00:28:13.19\00:28:14.66 Yeah. Yeah. And-- 00:28:14.69\00:28:16.02 Let's do Love Rules because that was, that was 00:28:16.06\00:28:18.56 and is a big project and before we go to that 00:28:18.59\00:28:21.10 I want to ask you from start to finish 00:28:21.13\00:28:25.37 ten songs Love Rules how much we talk about, 00:28:25.40\00:28:27.67 how many months, how many years are we talking about. 00:28:27.70\00:28:29.40 Oh, no, probably, you know, in a matter 00:28:29.44\00:28:31.67 of two or three months as for us 00:28:31.71\00:28:33.11 getting the songs together 00:28:33.14\00:28:35.04 and then after that recording it took some time to do that 00:28:35.08\00:28:37.81 because you go on the studio and then, you know, 00:28:37.85\00:28:39.75 you put it lay down the tracks and you get a lead vocal 00:28:39.78\00:28:42.22 and then a couple of harmonies 00:28:42.25\00:28:43.59 and you bring kids in and do that 00:28:43.62\00:28:45.32 and then later you bring them in to do a DVD. 00:28:45.35\00:28:48.12 So it takes a period of months to do it 00:28:48.16\00:28:50.96 and it was a lot of work but wow, what fun it was to 00:28:50.99\00:28:55.10 and to see these young people and the way I gauged it 00:28:55.13\00:28:58.63 whether the songs would work or not as I would put them, 00:28:58.67\00:29:02.17 I put them on just a lead vocal with a piano 00:29:02.20\00:29:05.47 and when my grandkids are around, 00:29:05.51\00:29:07.24 the young ones I would play it 00:29:07.28\00:29:09.38 and then I would hear them singing it. 00:29:09.41\00:29:11.11 "Isn't it cool that love rules, isn't it great," 00:29:11.15\00:29:15.08 you know, and so I said, okay, that works. 00:29:15.12\00:29:16.99 That's your focus. 00:29:17.02\00:29:18.35 The kids are going around the house 00:29:18.39\00:29:19.72 and the kids are singing the music. 00:29:19.75\00:29:21.39 So I would test these different songs on the babies 00:29:21.42\00:29:24.26 and when they started singing 00:29:24.29\00:29:25.69 I said, okay, these are gonna work. 00:29:25.73\00:29:27.33 They got something. 00:29:27.36\00:29:28.70 Yeah, the Lord gave me this project 00:29:28.73\00:29:30.07 but I did it for a reason. 00:29:30.10\00:29:31.43 It's not just to get music out there 00:29:31.47\00:29:33.20 it's to get the word into these 00:29:33.23\00:29:34.97 and particularly to get certain beliefs in the Bible 00:29:35.00\00:29:38.57 that salvation is important 00:29:38.61\00:29:40.28 no matter what denomination you are 00:29:40.31\00:29:42.28 but true is God has given us. 00:29:42.31\00:29:43.68 What happens to you when you die? 00:29:43.71\00:29:45.45 I mean, all of these things, even some of them about our 00:29:45.48\00:29:49.45 taking care of body, even what we eat. 00:29:49.48\00:29:51.92 And so all of these songs were written for a reason 00:29:51.95\00:29:55.02 and that's to help these young people. 00:29:55.06\00:29:57.23 You train up a child when he was young 00:29:57.26\00:29:59.39 so when he is old he won't depart. 00:29:59.43\00:30:00.76 So we have to-- if want these kids 00:30:00.80\00:30:03.00 to love Jesus and to serve Him 00:30:03.03\00:30:05.20 we have to put the word into them 00:30:05.23\00:30:07.30 while they are young and that's the purpose of this. 00:30:07.34\00:30:09.80 Yeah. So which one you want to do? 00:30:09.84\00:30:12.31 It's a great song. 00:30:12.34\00:30:13.68 Let's take the title cut, "Love Rules" 00:30:13.71\00:30:15.18 wonderful piece here it is. 00:30:15.21\00:30:17.38 There are rules at home and rules at school 00:30:25.45\00:30:29.26 Rules on the playground and rules in the pool 00:30:29.29\00:30:33.70 But there is one rule that is the best 00:30:33.73\00:30:37.37 And if you keep this rule you will be blessed 00:30:37.40\00:30:42.97 Isn't it true that love rules? 00:30:43.00\00:30:47.21 Isn't it great there is no hate where love rules 00:30:47.24\00:30:54.35 It's no accident you see 00:30:54.38\00:30:57.92 That's the way it's meant to be 00:30:57.95\00:31:01.72 Since God is love, love rules 00:31:01.76\00:31:08.36 Love rules 00:31:08.40\00:31:12.13 There are rules for this and rules for that 00:31:12.17\00:31:15.90 There are even rules for dogs and cats 00:31:15.94\00:31:19.44 There are some we like and some we don't 00:31:19.47\00:31:23.31 Some we'll keep and some we won't 00:31:23.35\00:31:27.58 But there is one rule that is the best 00:31:27.62\00:31:31.15 And if you keep this rule you will be blessed 00:31:31.19\00:31:36.69 Isn't it true that love rules? 00:31:36.73\00:31:41.10 Isn't it great there is no hate where love rules 00:31:41.13\00:31:48.20 It's no accident you see 00:31:48.24\00:31:51.61 That's the way it's meant to be 00:31:51.64\00:31:55.48 Since God is love, love rules 00:31:55.51\00:32:01.98 Love rules 00:32:02.02\00:32:06.59 Now the Bible tells of God's great love 00:32:06.62\00:32:13.83 How Jesus came from heaven above 00:32:13.86\00:32:19.93 He gave His life on Calvary 00:32:22.30\00:32:25.91 He died that day so the whole world could see 00:32:25.94\00:32:31.55 Isn't it true that love rules? 00:32:31.58\00:32:35.85 Isn't it great there is no hate where love rules 00:32:35.88\00:32:42.92 It's no accident you see 00:32:42.96\00:32:46.49 That's the way it's meant to be 00:32:46.53\00:32:50.40 Since God is love 00:32:50.43\00:32:53.54 Isn't it true that love rules? 00:32:53.57\00:32:57.87 Isn't it great there is no hate where love rules 00:32:57.91\00:33:04.95 It's no accident you see 00:33:04.98\00:33:08.52 That's the way it's meant to be 00:33:08.55\00:33:12.35 Since God is love, love rules 00:33:12.39\00:33:18.96 Love rules Love rules 00:33:18.99\00:33:24.93 Love rules Love rules 00:33:26.07\00:33:34.04 It's a great song and you put 00:33:34.08\00:33:35.74 the scripture passage just right there in the song 00:33:35.78\00:33:38.35 so that as the children are rehearsing the music 00:33:38.38\00:33:41.32 actually putting the Bible 00:33:41.35\00:33:42.98 right into their minds at the same time. 00:33:43.02\00:33:44.95 Yeah, almost every song you will see scripture 00:33:44.99\00:33:47.49 and all the rest of these, 00:33:47.52\00:33:48.86 for instance we are gonna do one 00:33:48.89\00:33:50.23 "Love God and keep His Commandments" 00:33:50.26\00:33:52.13 and my grandkids the youngest ones 00:33:52.16\00:33:54.13 I think they are five or six, four or five at a time 00:33:54.16\00:33:56.87 they literally learned the long version 00:33:56.90\00:33:59.03 of the Ten Commandments 00:33:59.07\00:34:00.40 that most of us adults have a hard time with. 00:34:00.44\00:34:03.20 And so that was the purpose 00:34:03.24\00:34:04.57 as let's train up the child in the way he should go. 00:34:04.61\00:34:06.78 Yeah, love it, let's do 00:34:06.81\00:34:08.14 "Love God and keep His Commandments" 00:34:08.18\00:34:09.74 then I want to ask you about a totally different song 00:34:09.78\00:34:12.28 that you did called "America We Are One" 00:34:12.31\00:34:14.25 whole different genre, whole different place. 00:34:14.28\00:34:16.55 A big piece, you know, we are gonna talk about that. 00:34:16.58\00:34:18.95 Right now, "Love God Keep His Commandments." 00:34:18.99\00:34:22.22 Love God and keep His commandments 00:34:31.83\00:34:36.40 This is the duty of man 00:34:36.44\00:34:40.64 Hear God and keep His commandments 00:34:40.68\00:34:45.05 They are His gift to man 00:34:45.08\00:34:49.88 Love the Lord with all your heart 00:34:49.92\00:34:53.09 And love your neighbors as yourself 00:34:53.12\00:34:58.03 Blessed are they that do His commandments 00:34:58.06\00:35:02.66 These are the children of God 00:35:02.70\00:35:10.67 The laws of God are His promises 00:35:13.07\00:35:17.58 To guide and protect us from sin 00:35:17.61\00:35:22.05 The law of God is ever lasting 00:35:22.08\00:35:26.62 With no beginning or end 00:35:26.65\00:35:31.29 Love the Lord with all your heart 00:35:31.33\00:35:34.60 And love your neighbors as yourself 00:35:34.63\00:35:39.50 Blessed are they that do His commandments 00:35:39.53\00:35:44.11 These are the children of God 00:35:44.14\00:35:50.31 Exodus 20:1-17 commandment one, 00:35:50.35\00:35:55.35 "I am the Lord your God, 00:35:55.38\00:35:57.15 who brought you out of the land of Egypt, 00:35:57.19\00:35:59.89 out of the house of bondage. 00:35:59.92\00:36:02.16 You shall have no other gods before Me." 00:36:02.19\00:36:05.26 Commandment two, "You shall not make 00:36:05.29\00:36:07.40 for yourself a carved image any likeness of anything 00:36:07.43\00:36:10.80 that is in heaven above, 00:36:10.83\00:36:12.17 or that is in the earth beneath, 00:36:12.20\00:36:13.90 or that is in the water under the earth, 00:36:13.94\00:36:15.97 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. 00:36:16.00\00:36:18.61 For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, 00:36:18.64\00:36:21.54 visiting the iniquity of the fathers 00:36:21.58\00:36:23.45 upon the children to the third and fourth generations 00:36:23.48\00:36:26.15 of those who hate Me, and showing mercy to thousands, 00:36:26.18\00:36:29.22 to those who love Me and keep My commandments." 00:36:29.25\00:36:32.02 Commandment three, "You shall not take 00:36:32.05\00:36:34.19 the name of the Lord your God in vain, 00:36:34.22\00:36:36.52 for the Lord will not hold him guiltless 00:36:36.56\00:36:38.86 who takes His name in vain." 00:36:38.89\00:36:41.06 Commandment four "Remember the Sabbath day, 00:36:41.10\00:36:44.27 to keep it holy. 00:36:44.30\00:36:45.63 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 00:36:45.67\00:36:48.34 but the seventh day is the Sabbath 00:36:48.37\00:36:50.34 of the Lord your God. 00:36:50.37\00:36:51.84 In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, 00:36:51.87\00:36:55.18 nor your daughter, nor your male servant, 00:36:55.21\00:36:57.48 nor your female servant, nor your cattle, 00:36:57.51\00:37:00.08 nor your stranger who is within your gates. 00:37:00.12\00:37:02.48 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, 00:37:02.52\00:37:06.09 the sea, and all that is in them, 00:37:06.12\00:37:08.39 and rested the seventh day. 00:37:08.42\00:37:10.23 Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day 00:37:10.26\00:37:12.69 and hallowed it." 00:37:12.73\00:37:14.30 Commandment five, 00:37:14.33\00:37:15.70 "Honor your father and your mother, 00:37:15.73\00:37:17.83 that your days may be long upon the land 00:37:17.87\00:37:21.10 which the Lord your God is giving you." 00:37:21.14\00:37:24.21 Commandment six, "You shall not murder." 00:37:24.24\00:37:27.21 Commandment seven, 00:37:27.24\00:37:28.58 "You shall not commit adultery." 00:37:28.61\00:37:31.05 Commandment eight "You shall not steal." 00:37:31.08\00:37:34.12 Commandment nine, 00:37:34.15\00:37:35.48 "You shall not bear false witness 00:37:35.52\00:37:37.69 against your neighbor." 00:37:37.72\00:37:39.25 Commandment ten, "You shall not covet anything 00:37:39.29\00:37:42.36 that is your neighbors." 00:37:42.39\00:37:46.53 Love the Lord with all your heart 00:37:46.56\00:37:49.70 And love your neighbors as yourself 00:37:49.73\00:37:54.64 Blessed are they that do His commandments 00:37:54.67\00:37:59.51 These are the children of God 00:37:59.54\00:38:03.58 These are the children of God 00:38:03.61\00:38:07.75 These are the children of God 00:38:07.78\00:38:14.49 Yeah, good stuff, Danny. Very, very, good stuff. 00:38:24.00\00:38:27.14 I talked about-- I mentioned just before 00:38:27.17\00:38:30.67 the song "American We Are One" another big piece of music, 00:38:30.71\00:38:36.24 greatly orchestrated just a powerful piece. 00:38:36.28\00:38:38.15 Of course, you can see it on YouTube. 00:38:38.18\00:38:39.71 How long did it take you to do that? 00:38:39.75\00:38:41.88 That song actually was on Fourth of July 00:38:41.92\00:38:45.05 and, you know, which is a celebration here in America. 00:38:45.09\00:38:48.56 This is not a song for everybody around the world 00:38:48.59\00:38:50.83 but I was thinking about, you know, how divisive 00:38:50.86\00:38:54.03 and this country had divided, 00:38:54.06\00:38:56.30 it's becoming and for a long time 00:38:56.33\00:38:58.63 it's nothing new but it seems 00:38:58.67\00:39:00.44 it gets worse and worse and of course, 00:39:00.47\00:39:02.00 we understand from the Bible that's gonna happen 00:39:02.04\00:39:04.81 but, you know, this thought came to me, 00:39:04.84\00:39:06.81 you know, America was supposed to be one 00:39:06.84\00:39:09.01 and the reason that's important is 00:39:09.04\00:39:10.71 because when we were one nation under God 00:39:10.75\00:39:14.15 which is what's taken out now, one nation under God 00:39:14.18\00:39:17.79 that's when we have religious liberty. 00:39:17.82\00:39:20.49 You have your freedom 00:39:20.52\00:39:21.86 and you can build networks like 3ABN 00:39:21.89\00:39:23.86 and go to the world but I see that 00:39:23.89\00:39:25.76 being taken away from us now. 00:39:25.79\00:39:28.20 So to me "American we are one, one nation under God" 00:39:28.23\00:39:32.53 that theme as long as we can do these things 00:39:32.57\00:39:36.20 and have the freedom so we are better to be, 00:39:36.24\00:39:38.94 be working together instead of fighting each other 00:39:38.97\00:39:41.88 and, you know, I don't what we will do 00:39:41.91\00:39:43.45 but we put it on YouTube and it's got hundred 00:39:43.48\00:39:47.02 and some thousand hits without really promoting it that much. 00:39:47.05\00:39:50.59 But it's just for people basically here in the States 00:39:50.62\00:39:52.99 and I don't know, something we did it 00:39:53.02\00:39:54.96 hit me Fourth of July 00:39:54.99\00:39:56.32 and Lari Goss did a fabulous job. 00:39:56.36\00:39:57.69 So you can actually look at up, 00:39:57.73\00:39:59.19 "American We Are One" Yvonne Lewis 00:39:59.23\00:40:01.43 and Yvonne does a fantastic job singing on YouTube 00:40:01.46\00:40:05.53 if you want to watch it. 00:40:05.57\00:40:06.90 Yeah. Yeah. 00:40:06.94\00:40:08.27 And then under the same inspiration umbrella 00:40:08.30\00:40:11.37 I will say, it's a beautiful work that came out 00:40:11.41\00:40:15.14 and seemed to come out even faster than Love Rules 00:40:15.18\00:40:19.41 but we look up here's another project 00:40:19.45\00:40:22.95 of really great music and great songs. 00:40:22.98\00:40:24.62 Talk to us a little about the kids. 00:40:24.65\00:40:25.99 For kids, and again I don't know 00:40:26.02\00:40:27.36 why other than I have a burden for young people 00:40:27.39\00:40:29.42 I see my own grandchildren 00:40:29.46\00:40:31.09 and I want to see them have tools 00:40:31.13\00:40:34.06 that help lead them to Jesus rather than, 00:40:34.10\00:40:36.03 you know when we got to computers 00:40:36.06\00:40:37.63 and the phones and, you know, all these things, 00:40:37.67\00:40:40.10 I mean, kids going to games everything 00:40:40.14\00:40:42.94 nothing points you to Jesus 00:40:42.97\00:40:45.14 and point you to specific doctrines 00:40:45.17\00:40:47.28 that we believe and hold fast in this church 00:40:47.31\00:40:50.51 because we believe as a church God has people in all churches 00:40:50.55\00:40:53.72 but we believe that 00:40:53.75\00:40:55.08 that the Seventh-day Adventist church 00:40:55.12\00:40:56.45 is an end times church for an end times people, 00:40:56.48\00:40:58.55 we have an end time message for an end times people 00:40:58.59\00:41:01.26 and so we want our children 00:41:01.29\00:41:02.82 to understand that as they grow. 00:41:02.86\00:41:05.16 So now there is such huge controversy, 00:41:05.19\00:41:07.76 there wasn't 40, 50 years ago, 00:41:07.80\00:41:09.33 I mean, there was but much less. 00:41:09.36\00:41:12.87 A Creator-- is there a God and is there-- 00:41:12.90\00:41:15.87 does is God a Creator. 00:41:15.90\00:41:17.91 It's like to us that's, duh, we knew that one 00:41:17.94\00:41:20.38 when we were little kids, but now I mean, it's so-- 00:41:20.41\00:41:24.61 I said, you know, even within our church 00:41:24.65\00:41:27.02 we hearing people say, 00:41:27.05\00:41:28.38 well, you know, maybe God created He did 00:41:28.42\00:41:30.52 but we might have took a million, 00:41:30.55\00:41:32.52 taken a millions of years and might this and that. 00:41:32.55\00:41:35.26 And I said, okay, we got to do something 00:41:35.29\00:41:36.62 for the young people so I got to thinking about it 00:41:36.66\00:41:39.33 and the Lord gave me this song "It's A Beautiful World" 00:41:39.36\00:41:43.16 and so it goes through each day of creation. 00:41:43.20\00:41:46.30 So when we play it for the young kids 00:41:46.33\00:41:48.27 it reinforces the Bible and what God did 00:41:48.30\00:41:51.97 and helps us each to understand what did on each day, 00:41:52.01\00:41:56.14 each 24 hour day of creation what God did. 00:41:56.18\00:42:01.08 So I didn't intent to do another whole project 00:42:01.12\00:42:03.32 but right after that another song, 00:42:03.35\00:42:05.35 "You Are What You Eat" 00:42:05.39\00:42:06.72 and I'm like what in the world is this. 00:42:06.76\00:42:08.42 These thoughts whether I'm traveling 00:42:08.46\00:42:10.53 something I would get a piece of paper 00:42:10.56\00:42:11.89 and write them down 00:42:11.93\00:42:13.26 and so we just titled this brand new project 00:42:13.29\00:42:17.50 the DVD is actually just now coming out, 00:42:17.53\00:42:20.67 being pressed up. 00:42:20.70\00:42:22.44 We've had the CD out for bit, 00:42:22.47\00:42:23.81 we just God all the kids and I so thank all of the kids 00:42:23.84\00:42:27.38 for their giving their time and their abilities, Love Rules 00:42:27.41\00:42:30.01 and also "It's Beautiful World" 00:42:30.05\00:42:31.81 they traveled lot of them from several states around, 00:42:31.85\00:42:34.22 they come here to help us in this project. 00:42:34.25\00:42:36.69 So the latest one "It's A Beautiful World." 00:42:36.72\00:42:38.99 Yeah. I like the sentiment. 00:42:39.02\00:42:40.36 Let me put you on a spot for just a little bit, Danny, 00:42:40.39\00:42:41.92 because what you say the present says, 00:42:41.96\00:42:44.29 you know, you look around it's not a beautiful world, 00:42:44.33\00:42:45.99 it's not a beautiful world at all. 00:42:46.03\00:42:47.36 How do you get to say given what we see everyday 00:42:47.40\00:42:49.46 it's a beautiful world? 00:42:49.50\00:42:50.83 That's because you look in the spiritual 00:42:50.87\00:42:52.83 and you look through spiritual eyes 00:42:52.87\00:42:54.47 and that's what we have, the Bible says, 00:42:54.50\00:42:56.00 "we fight not against flesh and blood, 00:42:56.04\00:42:58.57 the power is in principalities." 00:42:58.61\00:43:00.88 So as a Christian we are able to look 00:43:00.91\00:43:03.68 into the spiritual world and it's a beautiful world. 00:43:03.71\00:43:06.78 God created a beautiful world but we don't see it every day. 00:43:06.82\00:43:10.29 There are still beauty around us 00:43:10.32\00:43:12.39 but the Bible says, 00:43:12.42\00:43:13.76 "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, 00:43:13.79\00:43:15.22 neither that entered into the heart of man, 00:43:15.26\00:43:17.36 things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 00:43:17.39\00:43:20.60 So now I can look around, 00:43:20.63\00:43:22.00 we all can see these beautiful things 00:43:22.03\00:43:24.03 but, you know what, the devil gets us 00:43:24.07\00:43:25.83 so caught up about me, myself 00:43:25.87\00:43:27.94 and I that we don't see this beautiful world around us. 00:43:27.97\00:43:31.37 And I told the story once that when you go 00:43:31.41\00:43:34.18 and be in the little town close to it's here about eight miles 00:43:34.21\00:43:37.51 that's called the Square and just the other side of it 00:43:37.55\00:43:40.28 people are shocked when they come here 00:43:40.32\00:43:42.35 there is a hangs man noose out there 00:43:42.38\00:43:44.99 and there is a, there is the big scaffold 00:43:45.02\00:43:47.16 where they actually hung a guy whose name was Charlie Birger 00:43:47.19\00:43:50.43 and it was the last guy in the State of Illinois 00:43:50.46\00:43:53.70 and I think several thousand people 00:43:53.73\00:43:55.10 come to watch this guy be hung, right. 00:43:55.13\00:43:57.80 But here is a guy who was a gangster, 00:43:57.83\00:43:59.80 they arrived with a Shelton gang 00:43:59.83\00:44:01.54 and I'm sorry but the Shelton, the name, 00:44:01.57\00:44:03.91 you know, but the Shelton gang 00:44:03.94\00:44:05.37 there was a Shelton's and Birger's 00:44:05.41\00:44:06.74 and they were bootleggers 00:44:06.78\00:44:08.11 and they all fought against each other 00:44:08.14\00:44:09.68 and there are books written, all kinds of books written 00:44:09.71\00:44:11.61 about the Shelton gang and the Birger's 00:44:11.65\00:44:13.62 but they hung Charlie Birger and but there is a guy 00:44:13.65\00:44:17.72 that they take him up the scaffold 00:44:17.75\00:44:19.95 according to stories, they take him up the scaffold, 00:44:19.99\00:44:22.62 he is standing there, they are getting ready 00:44:22.66\00:44:24.09 to put the blindfolds on him. 00:44:24.13\00:44:25.79 They say, do you have any last words 00:44:25.83\00:44:29.10 and, you know, what he says, he looks around, 00:44:29.13\00:44:30.73 he says it's a beautiful world. 00:44:30.77\00:44:33.23 And I said here is a guy that he knows within ten seconds 00:44:33.27\00:44:36.81 he is gonna be dead 00:44:36.84\00:44:38.41 but now he is appreciating that beautiful world. 00:44:38.44\00:44:41.44 We are still here there is no noose around our neck 00:44:41.48\00:44:44.11 and we can't even see the beautiful world around us. 00:44:44.15\00:44:46.88 So something about that hit me, 00:44:46.92\00:44:48.45 that's amazing this guy because it was too late, 00:44:48.48\00:44:51.95 he saw it too late. 00:44:51.99\00:44:53.32 You think he wouldn't change his life 00:44:53.36\00:44:54.96 right then if they said, okay, 00:44:54.99\00:44:56.32 we are gonna take this off of you. 00:44:56.36\00:44:57.69 I got to feel and he would 00:44:57.73\00:44:59.06 because he had sense enough to say, 00:44:59.09\00:45:00.53 it's a beautiful world 00:45:00.56\00:45:02.26 and that says all kinds of things. 00:45:02.30\00:45:04.37 So here as Christians 00:45:04.40\00:45:05.73 no matter what's going on around us, 00:45:05.77\00:45:07.37 maybe the devil you think 00:45:07.40\00:45:08.74 he's got noose around us but he doesn't. 00:45:08.77\00:45:10.31 He is powerless when we come in the name of the Lord 00:45:10.34\00:45:13.01 and we can rebuke him. 00:45:13.04\00:45:14.84 And so we can look around and say, it's a beautiful world 00:45:14.88\00:45:18.31 and we also can look into the future 00:45:18.35\00:45:20.92 where there is no more sickness, 00:45:20.95\00:45:22.28 no more pain, no more sorrow, no more death. 00:45:22.32\00:45:24.75 It is indeed a beautiful world. All right, well said. 00:45:24.79\00:45:27.79 Let's look at it just now, "It's A Beautiful World." 00:45:27.82\00:45:31.66 It's a beautiful world that God made 00:45:42.10\00:45:47.48 Just for you and for me 00:45:47.51\00:45:50.98 He created all in six days 00:45:51.01\00:45:56.32 I have faith to believe 00:45:56.35\00:46:00.16 The Bible will tells the story 00:46:00.19\00:46:04.46 Of God's great power and glory 00:46:04.49\00:46:09.56 He made a light, the earth and sea 00:46:09.60\00:46:13.94 He made the flowers and the buzzing bumble bee 00:46:13.97\00:46:19.74 It's a beautiful world that God made 00:46:19.77\00:46:25.08 Just for you and for me 00:46:25.11\00:46:29.25 God created everything in just six days. 00:46:29.28\00:46:32.25 On the first day God created light 00:46:32.29\00:46:34.82 and on the second day, He made the heavenly skies, 00:46:34.86\00:46:38.29 on the third day He created the grass, 00:46:38.33\00:46:40.46 the trees, and the plants. 00:46:40.50\00:46:42.26 On the fourth day He created the sun, 00:46:42.30\00:46:44.87 the moon and the stars. 00:46:44.90\00:46:46.97 And on the fifth day God created the fish 00:46:47.00\00:46:49.64 and all the wonderful sea creators in the water. 00:46:49.67\00:46:52.67 And He created all the birds in the air. 00:46:52.71\00:46:57.41 It's a beautiful world that God made 00:46:57.45\00:47:02.82 Just for you and for me 00:47:02.85\00:47:06.22 He created all in six days 00:47:06.25\00:47:11.63 I have faith to believe 00:47:11.66\00:47:15.43 The Bible will tells the story 00:47:15.46\00:47:20.00 Of God's great power and glory 00:47:20.04\00:47:24.84 He made a light, the earth and sea 00:47:24.87\00:47:29.28 He made the flowers and the buzzing bumble bee 00:47:29.31\00:47:35.08 It's a beautiful world that God made 00:47:35.12\00:47:40.39 Just for you and for me 00:47:40.42\00:47:43.79 And on the sixth day He created 00:47:43.83\00:47:45.59 all the beautiful animal life on the earth. 00:47:45.63\00:47:48.66 But He also created something very special 00:47:48.70\00:47:51.50 that sixth day. 00:47:51.53\00:47:53.07 Yes, special and dear to the heart of God, 00:47:53.10\00:47:56.30 you guessed it He created you and me. 00:47:56.34\00:48:02.01 The Bible will tells the story 00:48:02.04\00:48:06.38 Of God's great power and glory 00:48:06.41\00:48:11.39 He made a light, the earth and sea 00:48:11.42\00:48:15.92 He made the flowers and the buzzing bumble bee 00:48:15.96\00:48:21.63 It's a beautiful world that God made 00:48:21.66\00:48:26.80 Just for you and for me 00:48:26.84\00:48:30.71 After creating everything in just six days 00:48:30.74\00:48:34.04 the Bible says that God rested. 00:48:34.08\00:48:36.48 Let's read about it in Genesis 2:1-3. 00:48:36.51\00:48:40.22 "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, 00:48:40.25\00:48:42.42 and all the host of them. 00:48:42.45\00:48:44.29 And on the seventh day God ended His work 00:48:44.32\00:48:46.55 which He had made, and He rested 00:48:46.59\00:48:49.22 on the seventh day from all His work 00:48:49.26\00:48:51.09 which He had made. 00:48:51.13\00:48:52.46 And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, 00:48:52.49\00:48:55.60 because that in it He had rested 00:48:55.63\00:48:57.67 from all His work which God created and made." 00:48:57.70\00:49:03.51 It's a beautiful world that God made 00:49:03.54\00:49:08.88 Just for you and for me 00:49:08.91\00:49:12.51 He created all in six days 00:49:12.55\00:49:17.85 I have faith to believe 00:49:17.89\00:49:21.32 It's a beautiful world 00:49:21.36\00:49:23.63 Such a beautiful world 00:49:23.66\00:49:25.89 It's a beautiful world It's a beautiful world 00:49:25.93\00:49:30.33 It's a beautiful world 00:49:30.37\00:49:32.43 Such a beautiful world 00:49:32.47\00:49:34.70 It's a beautiful world It's a beautiful world 00:49:34.74\00:49:39.14 It's a beautiful world Such a beautiful world 00:49:39.17\00:49:44.81 You know, Danny, when you hear that song 00:49:44.85\00:49:46.18 you almost believe it is a beautiful. 00:49:46.21\00:49:47.85 In fact, it is a beautiful world 00:49:47.88\00:49:49.22 and look through the spiritual. 00:49:49.25\00:49:50.89 Well, done. 00:49:50.92\00:49:52.25 This particular project from first song to last song 00:49:52.29\00:49:54.62 how long took to write this one. 00:49:54.66\00:49:56.39 Oh, you know, I don't know. 00:49:56.42\00:49:57.76 It over a period of two three months probably 00:49:57.79\00:49:59.83 because I didn't, I didn't just sat down 00:49:59.86\00:50:01.66 and said, I'm gonna write this song. 00:50:01.70\00:50:03.03 I just wait till the idea came and then I would sit down 00:50:03.06\00:50:05.63 and most of them came pretty quickly 00:50:05.67\00:50:07.64 but this one no matter what key you sing it in 00:50:07.67\00:50:10.14 I've had people and I have a very well known song writer 00:50:10.17\00:50:12.67 that I gave this to him and he called me and he said, 00:50:12.71\00:50:14.91 I can't get that song out of my head. 00:50:14.94\00:50:16.78 He said I go around the house saying 00:50:16.81\00:50:18.55 it's a beautiful world that God made, 00:50:18.58\00:50:22.32 you know, just for you and for me. 00:50:22.35\00:50:24.35 And I said, all right, that's what I wanted here 00:50:24.39\00:50:26.76 and he is great songwriter in his own, you know. 00:50:26.79\00:50:29.79 It's kind of above most of us in the songwriting 00:50:29.82\00:50:32.26 but he said, boy, that sound just keeps coming to my mind. 00:50:32.29\00:50:35.36 I said, well, good, then it's doing its job. 00:50:35.40\00:50:37.93 But, you know, again it's teaching the kids 00:50:37.97\00:50:39.90 and then the video showing God's creation 00:50:39.93\00:50:43.41 is what we would put together 00:50:43.44\00:50:44.77 and again I want to thank all the kids 00:50:44.81\00:50:46.31 who came here to help this. 00:50:46.34\00:50:48.11 Well, don't. Good looking group of kids too and very talented. 00:50:48.14\00:50:51.25 Oh, very much. 00:50:51.28\00:50:52.61 Including some of your own family members. 00:50:52.65\00:50:53.98 Yeah. Praise the Lord for that. 00:50:54.02\00:50:55.35 My grandkids are on there, of course. 00:50:55.38\00:50:56.72 Yeah. Yeah. Now you are what you eat. 00:50:56.75\00:50:59.65 All right. Yeah. This was an next day event. 00:50:59.69\00:51:01.66 Yeah, well, this when you have not heard 00:51:01.69\00:51:03.19 for that statement for a long time 00:51:03.22\00:51:05.26 some people say it's not true but in a sense it is I guess, 00:51:05.29\00:51:08.20 you know, like we become what we behold 00:51:08.23\00:51:10.77 and we, you know, we are what we eat 00:51:10.80\00:51:12.73 but actually it was a song and I said, 00:51:12.77\00:51:15.40 I don't know of any songs 00:51:15.44\00:51:16.77 that really talk about the health message. 00:51:16.81\00:51:18.67 Adventist were strong on the health message. 00:51:18.71\00:51:20.88 I just saw a thing the other night 00:51:20.91\00:51:22.34 on CBN Christian network showing Seventh-day Adventist 00:51:22.38\00:51:27.02 and how long they live in Loma Linda 00:51:27.05\00:51:29.12 and talking about Adventist living 00:51:29.15\00:51:30.49 ten years longer on average 00:51:30.52\00:51:32.92 and healthier than most other people 00:51:32.95\00:51:35.42 around the world only few spots like that 00:51:35.46\00:51:38.23 but I wrote this song before I saw that. 00:51:38.26\00:51:40.70 But I thought, you know, 00:51:40.73\00:51:42.06 we have all this messages on the Sabbath 00:51:42.10\00:51:44.17 and state of the dead and all these how do we do that 00:51:44.20\00:51:47.54 and the Lord just gave me this little song 00:51:47.57\00:51:49.20 and it probably came to me in an hour or something, 00:51:49.24\00:51:52.01 "You are what you eat, 00:51:52.04\00:51:53.38 I've been told if this is true I plan to grow old." 00:51:53.41\00:51:57.38 Praise the Lord.
