Baptist. 00:03:24.27\00:03:25.60 He would serve at a Baptist. Okay. 00:03:25.63\00:03:27.00 I always say we weren't allowed to do anything but eat. 00:03:27.04\00:03:30.31 We can do that, we can eat because our theme song 00:03:30.34\00:03:32.91 was God be with us so we eat again. 00:03:32.94\00:03:35.64 So dad was a conservative Baptist 00:03:35.68\00:03:37.48 but he was an evangelist and traveled the country, 00:03:37.51\00:03:39.41 and Melissa's dad was an evangelist as well. 00:03:39.45\00:03:41.58 Okay. Baptist too. Baptist and that's how we met. 00:03:41.62\00:03:44.09 We met at a camp meeting. 00:03:44.12\00:03:45.45 She was speaking at a camp meeting. 00:03:45.49\00:03:46.82 Okay. Sure. 00:03:46.86\00:03:48.19 We met at a camp meeting in Georgia. 00:03:48.22\00:03:49.56 I was from Texas, she was from Ohio, we met in Georgia, 00:03:49.59\00:03:53.06 and we've known each other for many years. 00:03:53.09\00:03:55.16 And when we got little older, we got married 00:03:55.20\00:03:57.17 and we've been traveling and touring together 00:03:57.20\00:03:58.93 for many years and just ministering together. 00:03:58.97\00:04:02.14 There's nothing greater than ministering with your spouse, 00:04:02.17\00:04:04.61 so we're just so grateful. 00:04:04.64\00:04:05.97 Absolutely. 00:04:06.01\00:04:07.34 Now, a lot of the folk that know you say, 00:04:07.38\00:04:08.71 I've seen that face before but not with the Jim Brady Trio 00:04:08.74\00:04:11.48 but with the Booth Brothers. 00:04:11.51\00:04:12.85 Almost 13 years. 00:04:12.88\00:04:14.22 Tell us a little about the Booth Brothers? 00:04:14.25\00:04:15.58 What an honor to being a part of that ministry. 00:04:15.62\00:04:17.49 Almost 13 years I was with those guys. 00:04:17.52\00:04:19.59 And Melissa and I had traveled with her father 00:04:19.62\00:04:22.09 in evangelistic ministry for many years 00:04:22.12\00:04:23.99 prior to the Booth Brothers. 00:04:24.03\00:04:25.86 But he had gotten sick and came off the road 00:04:25.89\00:04:27.96 and needed to stay close to home 00:04:28.00\00:04:29.33 and Melissa being her only child 00:04:29.36\00:04:30.90 wanted to stay home and take care of her dad. 00:04:30.93\00:04:33.03 And that was the time 00:04:33.07\00:04:34.40 the Booth Brothers have called me 00:04:34.44\00:04:35.77 and they actually just called for me to fill in. 00:04:35.80\00:04:37.57 They said, "Hey, we're on the Gaither tour 00:04:37.61\00:04:39.67 where we need somebody that can sing this part. 00:04:39.71\00:04:41.24 Would you fill in until we find somebody? 00:04:41.28\00:04:43.45 I said sure, I had the time to do it, 00:04:43.48\00:04:45.25 so I jumped on their bus and we can fill in with him 00:04:45.28\00:04:47.72 and almost 13 years later I was still filling in, so. 00:04:47.75\00:04:52.02 Absolutely, great group. 00:04:52.05\00:04:54.56 And then how long have you been with-- 00:04:54.59\00:04:56.59 Tim, how long you guys been together now? 00:04:56.62\00:04:58.36 We started the beginning of this 2015 as Melissa says. 00:04:58.39\00:05:02.26 Wow, yeah. 00:05:02.30\00:05:03.63 Yeah, 2015, we started January 1st our first project. 00:05:03.67\00:05:05.47 Now, how did you hook up with Tim. 00:05:05.50\00:05:07.44 Tell me how that happened? Well, you know what? 00:05:07.47\00:05:08.80 We have known Tim for a long time. 00:05:08.84\00:05:10.31 This is kind of a neat story. 00:05:10.34\00:05:11.97 Many years ago before Melissa and I were even married, 00:05:12.01\00:05:14.84 Melissa had-- 00:05:14.88\00:05:16.21 I know him before he had a beard. 00:05:16.24\00:05:17.58 Yeah or a partial beard as you can say. 00:05:17.61\00:05:19.75 Yeah, partial beard. He had hair. 00:05:19.78\00:05:21.12 He is still working on that. 00:05:21.15\00:05:22.48 But many years ago Melissa had tried up with the group 00:05:22.52\00:05:25.29 called the Lesters. 00:05:25.32\00:05:26.79 And Tim was playing piano for the Lesters, 00:05:26.82\00:05:28.82 and Melissa was going to go sing with the Lesters, 00:05:28.86\00:05:30.79 but her mom and dad had some health issues at that time. 00:05:30.83\00:05:34.53 And so she didn't take the job, 00:05:34.56\00:05:35.90 but we met Tim way back when he was with the Lesters. 00:05:35.93\00:05:38.60 And then years had passed 00:05:38.63\00:05:40.14 and I joined a group called the Booth Brothers 00:05:40.17\00:05:42.57 and he was with the Spears 00:05:42.60\00:05:44.07 and different groups over the years, 00:05:44.11\00:05:45.94 but he ended up with the group called Legacy Five. 00:05:45.97\00:05:48.41 And while I was with the Booth Brothers 00:05:48.44\00:05:49.78 and he was with Legacy Five, 00:05:49.81\00:05:51.48 we did a tour together called the Jubilee tour. 00:05:51.51\00:05:53.58 Okay. 00:05:53.62\00:05:54.95 And so Tim and I have spend a lot of hours 00:05:54.98\00:05:56.62 in the studio together. 00:05:56.65\00:05:58.29 We've toured together. 00:05:58.32\00:05:59.65 We've been on the road together 00:05:59.69\00:06:01.02 so we've known each other for a long time. 00:06:01.06\00:06:02.62 And we began to think about doing this new trio. 00:06:02.66\00:06:06.23 The only guy we could think of was Tim and just-- 00:06:06.26\00:06:08.66 we loved his heart 00:06:08.70\00:06:10.03 and his talent speaks for itself. 00:06:10.07\00:06:11.83 And so we knew he was the right fit 00:06:11.87\00:06:13.60 and when we called him and asked him about he was, 00:06:13.64\00:06:16.07 he was in and I think God had begun to prepare 00:06:16.10\00:06:19.01 all of our hearts for this. 00:06:19.04\00:06:20.38 Well, I hope he stays longer with you than he did us, 00:06:20.41\00:06:22.44 so we had him about a year and then he left us, 00:06:22.48\00:06:25.38 I don't know if he got mad at us 00:06:25.41\00:06:27.32 or the fact we didn't pay you had anything to do with? 00:06:27.35\00:06:30.25 It certainly didn't have to do with you 00:06:30.29\00:06:32.82 but I wouldn't take that on. 00:06:32.85\00:06:36.26 I have a very short attention span. 00:06:36.29\00:06:38.69 If he tries to leave, we'll send him back to you, 00:06:38.73\00:06:40.46 okay so. 00:06:40.50\00:06:41.83 Okay. All right. 00:06:41.86\00:06:43.20 We just keep him back before. There you go, yeah. 00:06:43.23\00:06:44.57 All right, well, what we're gonna have you do 00:06:44.60\00:06:45.93 is some music and we gonna get some more of your story 00:06:45.97\00:06:47.64 in just a little bit 00:06:47.67\00:06:49.00 but the first song is 'The Love of God' 00:06:49.04\00:06:51.84 and it has to be one of the greatest songs 00:06:51.87\00:06:53.34 ever written. 00:06:53.38\00:06:54.74 But on this particular we have something in common, 00:06:54.78\00:06:57.21 your arranger, 00:06:57.25\00:06:58.58 tell us a little bit about the arranger? 00:06:58.61\00:06:59.95 It is a really neat story, 00:06:59.98\00:07:01.32 Larry Goss who we all know and love. 00:07:01.35\00:07:03.28 We had announced a new group 00:07:03.32\00:07:05.32 and we weren't going to call Larry 00:07:05.35\00:07:06.69 Larry to produce the album because it's a little-- 00:07:06.72\00:07:08.62 he is expensive. 00:07:08.66\00:07:09.99 And we thought we're a new group, 00:07:10.03\00:07:11.36 we can't afford, you know, our budget won't allow it. 00:07:11.39\00:07:13.56 When Larry heard the announcement 00:07:13.60\00:07:15.10 of the new group, he called me up and he said, 00:07:15.13\00:07:17.40 "Come over to the house, I got something for you." 00:07:17.43\00:07:19.53 I said, "What's he doing." 00:07:19.57\00:07:20.90 So I went over to his music room 00:07:20.94\00:07:22.27 there his house and he knew 00:07:22.30\00:07:23.94 this was my favorite hymn of all time. 00:07:23.97\00:07:26.24 So he began playing this arrangement 00:07:26.27\00:07:28.08 to The Love of God. 00:07:28.11\00:07:29.51 And I said, "Is this for us?" 00:07:29.54\00:07:30.88 He said, "It is if you want it." 00:07:30.91\00:07:32.58 We took the arrangement, recorded the arrangement, 00:07:32.61\00:07:34.85 had no idea that before we can even release the album 00:07:34.88\00:07:38.62 that unexpectedly Larry passed away, 00:07:38.65\00:07:40.86 but this was one of the last arrangements 00:07:40.89\00:07:42.59 he did. 00:07:42.62\00:07:43.96 And I tell you what? It is just gorgeous. 00:07:43.99\00:07:45.56 And every night we sing this song, 00:07:45.59\00:07:47.80 we think of Larry, his music lives on. 00:07:47.83\00:07:50.73 Larry, I think an incredible arranger 00:07:50.77\00:07:52.77 and we talked about the other night, 00:07:52.80\00:07:54.17 we were talking about it, not just, you know, technically 00:07:54.20\00:07:57.17 but the heart that he had 00:07:57.21\00:07:59.17 and the anointing that was on him. 00:07:59.21\00:08:01.44 So what we want you do, 00:08:01.48\00:08:02.81 we want you guys to get ready to sing. 00:08:02.84\00:08:04.78 And, Yvonne, this is going to be really good 00:08:04.81\00:08:06.58 and as you know, this is one of my... 00:08:06.61\00:08:08.18 all time favorite songs too, The Love of God, 00:08:08.22\00:08:10.49 especially the second verse, 00:08:10.52\00:08:12.15 Could we with ink the ocean fill, 00:08:12.19\00:08:14.42 it's so beautiful. 00:08:14.46\00:08:16.09 And I don't know, I heard Allison Speer 00:08:16.12\00:08:17.53 one time said that and, you know, 00:08:17.56\00:08:20.26 you don't know whether how much of all this is true 00:08:20.30\00:08:22.83 but it sure sound good, I will say that. 00:08:22.86\00:08:24.73 But she said that they found the scroll 00:08:24.77\00:08:26.87 on back in around 1100 AD or something 00:08:26.90\00:08:29.30 on in the mental home, I guess it was. 00:08:29.34\00:08:31.37 Maybe it's time during a Reformation, 00:08:31.41\00:08:33.44 when someone was in prison imprisoned 00:08:33.48\00:08:35.24 and literally wrote the song verse. 00:08:35.28\00:08:37.31 And when you hear the words, you will understand 00:08:37.35\00:08:39.88 that it was written way back, it talks about the quills 00:08:39.91\00:08:42.85 and every stalk, you know, on earth a quill 00:08:42.88\00:08:44.85 and every man a scribe by trade, 00:08:44.89\00:08:47.19 so we're gonna listen right now to the Jim Brady Trio. 00:08:47.22\00:08:50.26 The love of God is greater far 00:09:04.81\00:09:10.98 Than tongue or pen could ever tell 00:09:11.01\00:09:16.75 It goes beyond the highest star 00:09:16.79\00:09:22.46 And reaches to the lowest hell 00:09:22.49\00:09:28.20 The guilty pair bowed down with care 00:09:28.23\00:09:34.30 God gave His Son to win 00:09:34.34\00:09:41.01 His erring child 00:09:41.04\00:09:44.18 He reconciled 00:09:44.21\00:09:47.18 And pardoned from his sin 00:09:47.22\00:09:54.52 Could we with ink the ocean fill 00:10:09.24\00:10:15.94 And were the skies of parchment made 00:10:15.98\00:10:23.28 And every stalk on earth a quill 00:10:23.32\00:10:30.23 And every man 00:10:30.29\00:10:32.96 A scribe by trade 00:10:32.99\00:10:39.43 To write 00:10:39.47\00:10:42.24 The love of God above 00:10:42.27\00:10:48.84 Would drain the ocean dry 00:10:48.88\00:10:54.65 Nor could the scroll contain the whole 00:10:54.68\00:11:00.32 Though stretched from sky 00:11:00.36\00:11:03.73 To sky 00:11:03.76\00:11:09.43 O love of God 00:11:09.46\00:11:15.20 How rich and pure! 00:11:15.24\00:11:18.04 How measureless and strong! 00:11:18.07\00:11:25.21 It shall forevermore endure 00:11:25.25\00:11:31.09 The saints' and angels' 00:11:31.12\00:11:35.49 song 00:11:35.52\00:11:39.86 It shall 00:11:39.89\00:11:42.70 Forevermore endure 00:11:42.73\00:11:48.10 The saints' and angels' 00:11:48.14\00:11:52.47 Song 00:11:52.51\00:11:56.85 How wonderful how marvelous 00:11:56.88\00:12:02.35 This precious love 00:12:02.38\00:12:07.96 Of God 00:12:07.99\00:12:09.76 The precious love 00:12:09.79\00:12:13.53 Of God. 00:12:13.56\00:12:20.47 That's a two hander. 00:12:26.61\00:12:27.94 Praise Him. You guys are up the street. 00:13:34.74\00:13:36.85 This is good. But we give God the credit for it. 00:13:36.88\00:13:38.88 Absolutely. 00:13:38.91\00:13:40.25 And I know that you do, 00:13:40.28\00:13:41.62 and we can joke around about it some, 00:13:41.65\00:13:43.08 but absolutely thank you that is so beautiful. 00:13:43.12\00:13:45.15 We want to talk about the next song 00:13:45.19\00:13:47.06 and the God of What's To Come. 00:13:47.09\00:13:48.42 And I think you wrote that. 00:13:48.46\00:13:49.79 Yes, that's actually song 00:13:49.82\00:13:51.16 Melissa and I wrote with the friend of ours 00:13:51.19\00:13:52.53 when we were starting this new group. 00:13:52.56\00:13:54.53 We wanted to write our hearts on this new project, 00:13:54.56\00:13:57.40 wanted to express where we were at in our lives, 00:13:57.43\00:13:59.47 and as writers you tend to do that. 00:13:59.50\00:14:01.40 You know, you write where you are in your life 00:14:01.44\00:14:04.07 and the Christian walk is seasons. 00:14:04.11\00:14:06.37 You know, there is seasons 00:14:06.41\00:14:07.94 and it's really a walk of faith, is what it is. 00:14:07.98\00:14:10.75 And when God nudges you to do something new, 00:14:10.78\00:14:12.91 sometimes you have to leave the familiar and the safe 00:14:12.95\00:14:16.18 and step out of the familiar to step into the unknown 00:14:16.22\00:14:19.85 to follow God, you know, and there sometimes 00:14:19.89\00:14:22.46 as humans we have fear and we have those insecurities, 00:14:22.49\00:14:26.33 and we sometimes worry about it. 00:14:26.36\00:14:28.63 But I got to tell you, when you know 00:14:28.66\00:14:30.00 God is nudging you just take that leap of faith, 00:14:30.03\00:14:32.67 take that leap of faith, when you know it's God, 00:14:32.70\00:14:34.97 and don't be surprised when He shows up and blesses 00:14:35.00\00:14:37.41 'cause that's exactly what He has done for us 00:14:37.44\00:14:39.37 and that's what we put in the song 00:14:39.41\00:14:40.74 'cause He is the God of what's to come. 00:14:40.78\00:14:42.28 He is the God that has brought us this far, 00:14:42.31\00:14:44.05 the God of our past, 00:14:44.08\00:14:45.41 the God of everything before us, 00:14:45.45\00:14:46.82 but He is also the God of everything 00:14:46.85\00:14:48.22 is to come in our lives. 00:14:48.25\00:14:49.58 And so, we try to express that in this song 00:14:49.62\00:14:51.62 and Larry Goss once again produced this for us 00:14:51.65\00:14:53.82 and it's just-- 00:14:53.86\00:14:55.42 the song goes over really well when we sing it in concert. 00:14:55.46\00:14:57.73 I think it's because people can relate to that. 00:14:57.76\00:15:00.36 You know, there's a lot of people you get, 00:15:00.40\00:15:02.00 you get comfortable where you are at. 00:15:02.03\00:15:03.97 But God wants us to take that leap of faith 00:15:04.00\00:15:05.80 and step forth in faith. 00:15:05.83\00:15:07.27 And I think when you do, 00:15:07.30\00:15:08.67 there's great blessings awaiting. 00:15:08.70\00:15:11.74 Danny just wrote a book called "The Blessings on the Go." 00:15:11.77\00:15:15.24 And so, I mean that just fits that whole concept, 00:15:15.28\00:15:18.31 when you step out in faith, God blesses. 00:15:18.35\00:15:21.08 Yes, He does. Absolutely. 00:15:21.12\00:15:22.82 What we gonna do, we gonna ask you to go back up 00:15:22.85\00:15:24.65 and sing, then we'll have you stay up there few minutes 00:15:24.69\00:15:28.16 because they're gonna do a song, 00:15:28.19\00:15:29.92 it's written by a friend of ours 00:15:29.96\00:15:31.29 for over 35 years, we've been friends with Aaron Wilburn. 00:15:31.33\00:15:34.63 Sounds like Home to Me, what beautiful song 00:15:34.66\00:15:37.23 that is and I think about it often, Aaron and Gaither, 00:15:37.27\00:15:40.10 a vocal band do it sometime ago, 00:15:40.14\00:15:42.47 what an incredible job, 00:15:42.50\00:15:43.84 so I can't wait to hear you all do this too, 00:15:43.87\00:15:46.41 but right now we gonna be doing the God of What's to Come. 00:15:46.44\00:15:50.85 And my favorite author says something like this, 00:15:50.88\00:15:54.32 she says we don't have to fear the future. 00:15:54.35\00:15:56.75 All we have to do is look at the past 00:15:56.79\00:15:58.45 to see where God has led us. 00:15:58.49\00:16:00.62 And how He has brought us so now we can go forward, 00:16:00.66\00:16:04.06 we can get that new chapter of life, 00:16:04.09\00:16:06.29 expecting the miracles. 00:16:06.33\00:16:07.83 I have reason to believe in miracles 00:16:07.86\00:16:09.70 like the dawn expects the sun, I will not accept defeat 00:16:09.73\00:16:12.73 for my trust in Him is complete 00:16:12.77\00:16:14.70 and my victory has already been won. 00:16:14.74\00:16:17.94 Now, they're gonna be singing to us, 00:16:17.97\00:16:19.37 "the God of What's to Come." 00:16:19.41\00:16:21.14 Took a while to summon up 00:16:32.99\00:16:35.69 The courage and the faith 00:16:35.72\00:16:38.49 But Lord I knew I heard you calling me 00:16:38.53\00:16:44.10 Took a step away from the familiar and the safe 00:16:44.13\00:16:49.50 Followed you into uncertainty 00:16:49.54\00:16:54.94 Believing that the best is yet to be 00:16:54.98\00:17:00.42 Because you are God 00:17:00.45\00:17:03.28 God of What's to Come 00:17:03.32\00:17:05.85 The Mighty and Most High Sovereign One 00:17:05.89\00:17:11.16 You are God of all that's been before 00:17:11.19\00:17:14.00 In easy even for the bravest hearts 00:17:27.78\00:17:33.15 Especially when you can't see what's in store 00:17:33.18\00:17:38.59 But all the lives 00:17:38.62\00:17:39.95 And all the pages of my life so far 00:17:39.99\00:17:44.16 Testify how you are faithful to Lord 00:17:44.19\00:17:49.30 You will be with me and you will go before 00:17:49.33\00:17:54.90 Because you are God 00:17:54.94\00:17:57.84 church up in the air. 00:19:20.32\00:19:21.89 Is it, absolutely. 00:19:21.92\00:19:23.26 It does sound, it's just wonderful. 00:19:23.29\00:19:25.13 Really, I love the blend, 00:19:25.16\00:19:27.36 I love the way they phrased their music, 00:19:27.40\00:19:30.27 the songs are wonderful. 00:19:30.30\00:19:31.63 You guys are just such a blessing. 00:19:31.67\00:19:33.90 They really are. 00:19:33.94\00:19:35.27 We are so thankful they're today. 00:19:35.30\00:19:37.14 We've told them to stay up, 00:19:37.17\00:19:38.51 ask them to stay up at the piano and they said yes. 00:19:38.54\00:19:41.21 And then pretty soon, 00:19:41.24\00:19:42.58 Tim's even said that he will do a piano solo. 00:19:42.61\00:19:45.51 And now we always enjoy that for sure. 00:19:45.55\00:19:47.55 But right now they're gonna do-- 00:19:47.58\00:19:48.92 I think it's a beautiful song, a friend of ours Aaron Wilburn 00:19:48.95\00:19:52.02 and Aaron has, I don't know 00:19:52.05\00:19:54.09 how many YouTube hits he ever gets on his 00:19:54.12\00:19:56.73 but he does a song that says something like it, 00:19:56.76\00:19:59.73 if your nose is running money out, 00:19:59.76\00:20:01.90 my nose is running money out, I will blow it on you, 00:20:01.93\00:20:03.87 that got like 7 or 8 million hits, 00:20:03.90\00:20:06.03 I don't know what that says about the audiences 00:20:06.07\00:20:07.94 and all of that but anyway this song's a beautiful song. 00:20:07.97\00:20:12.77 Aaron's been a friend for many, many years. 00:20:12.81\00:20:14.71 I love his music and it's simple songs 00:20:14.74\00:20:17.75 and but it reaches the heart. 00:20:17.78\00:20:19.78 And I think that's the key, you know, 00:20:19.81\00:20:22.08 the simplicity of them can just penetrate your soul. 00:20:22.12\00:20:25.95 Absolutely. "Sounds Like Home" to me. 00:20:25.99\00:20:28.62 Somewhere just 00:20:40.04\00:20:42.80 Across the Jordan River 00:20:42.84\00:20:49.74 There's a place of everlasting joy 00:20:49.78\00:20:56.99 And peace 00:20:57.02\00:21:01.02 Where the tree of life 00:21:01.06\00:21:04.43 Is flowing there forever 00:21:04.46\00:21:11.73 And a crown of life 00:21:11.77\00:21:15.37 Is waiting there for me 00:21:15.40\00:21:22.04 That sounds like home to me 00:21:22.08\00:21:28.02 Like where I want to be 00:21:28.05\00:21:33.72 There'll be no tears 00:21:33.76\00:21:38.66 To fill our eyes again 00:21:38.69\00:21:46.63 The hills will echo 00:21:46.67\00:21:49.77 with the story 00:21:49.80\00:21:52.91 As we sing of His grace and glory 00:21:52.94\00:21:59.15 Where the saints of God will be 00:21:59.18\00:22:05.12 That sounds like home to me 00:22:05.15\00:22:11.49 They say 00:22:16.77\00:22:19.20 There is only joy 00:22:19.23\00:22:22.37 Inside 00:22:22.40\00:22:25.37 That city 00:22:25.41\00:22:30.55 A crystal river 00:22:30.58\00:22:33.82 flowing by the tree 00:22:33.85\00:22:40.02 Of life 00:22:40.06\00:22:45.69 No pain 00:22:45.73\00:22:48.50 Or disappointments there 00:22:48.53\00:22:54.37 To hurt us 00:22:54.40\00:22:58.77 For Jesus Christ 00:22:58.81\00:23:05.41 Himself 00:23:05.45\00:23:08.95 Will be 00:23:08.98\00:23:12.75 The light 00:23:12.79\00:23:17.63 That sounds like home to me 00:23:17.66\00:23:25.60 Like where I want to be 00:23:25.63\00:23:32.27 There'll be no tears 00:23:32.31\00:23:37.78 To fill our eyes 00:23:37.81\00:23:41.42 Again 00:23:41.45\00:23:46.49 The hills will echo 00:23:46.52\00:23:49.52 With the story 00:23:49.56\00:23:52.89 As we sing of His grace and glory 00:23:52.93\00:23:59.37 Where the saints of God will be 00:23:59.40\00:24:05.71 That sounds like home to me 00:24:05.74\00:24:13.11 The hills will echo 00:24:13.15\00:24:17.72 with the story 00:24:17.75\00:24:21.32 As we sing of His grace 00:24:21.36\00:24:25.63 And glory 00:24:25.66\00:24:29.96 Where the saints of God will be 00:24:34.60\00:24:41.68 That sounds like home to me. 00:24:41.71\00:24:48.18 Amen. Isn't that beautiful. It is so beautiful. 00:25:06.27\00:25:08.94 I want to sing with them. 00:25:08.97\00:25:10.57 Maybe we can make it the Brady quartet. 00:25:10.61\00:25:11.94 Next time, oh the quartet. Maybe next time. 00:25:11.97\00:25:15.51 I've already asked first but. 00:25:15.54\00:25:17.48 Or else announce the Brady quintet. 00:25:17.51\00:25:19.01 Oh, quintet, that's okay. Yeah, go for it. 00:25:19.05\00:25:21.88 Well, I think the way it's meant for us 00:25:21.92\00:25:25.49 to sing with them is to buy their CD and then-- 00:25:25.52\00:25:28.06 And sing along. 00:25:28.09\00:25:29.42 Sing with, we can be singing along and speaking to that, 00:25:29.46\00:25:32.26 those of you at home, we're gonna put up their address 00:25:32.29\00:25:34.33 in just a little bit 00:25:34.36\00:25:35.70 and so you want to write this down. 00:25:35.73\00:25:37.20 We'll tell ahead of time about their website, 00:25:37.23\00:25:39.43 how you can contact them. 00:25:39.47\00:25:41.20 And I know they got lot of product and things 00:25:41.24\00:25:44.27 that you want to see 00:25:44.31\00:25:45.64 and information and all of that, 00:25:45.67\00:25:47.44 so where there're going to be concerts, 00:25:47.48\00:25:49.18 all of them I'm sure is on their website. 00:25:49.21\00:25:51.85 But it's a privilege to have you guys here today. 00:25:51.88\00:25:54.95 We're honored. Thank you. 00:25:54.98\00:25:56.32 These are some great Baptist singers. 00:25:56.35\00:25:58.12 All right. All right. 00:25:58.15\00:25:59.75 I want to go little bit about your own personal testimony. 00:25:59.79\00:26:02.46 We got a few minutes. 00:26:02.49\00:26:04.13 Just because your dad is an evangelist 00:26:04.16\00:26:05.89 as you all know, it doesn't mean 00:26:05.93\00:26:07.76 that all of the kids are going to become Christians. 00:26:07.80\00:26:11.00 Did you go through any period in your life 00:26:11.03\00:26:13.10 where lot of times PK kids, 00:26:13.13\00:26:14.84 you know, they want to go different directions, 00:26:14.87\00:26:17.04 but somehow, 00:26:17.07\00:26:18.41 through God's grace and mercy, they come around. 00:26:18.44\00:26:20.28 Did you, you look like 00:26:20.31\00:26:21.64 you never had a problem in your life. 00:26:21.68\00:26:23.01 No, I had a couple of brothers who did that for me. 00:26:23.04\00:26:26.18 But no, you know what? 00:26:26.21\00:26:27.55 I came to know the Lord at 5 years old. 00:26:27.58\00:26:29.75 And, you know, you think about, you know, just living 5 years, 00:26:29.78\00:26:33.72 you know, you don't think you don't have a great testimony. 00:26:33.76\00:26:35.92 But I tell you what a great testimony 00:26:35.96\00:26:37.29 is one who came to the Lord 00:26:37.33\00:26:38.66 that early was able to walk with the Lord all these years. 00:26:38.69\00:26:41.26 And I remember that morning well, 00:26:41.30\00:26:42.70 my dad was preaching that morning 00:26:42.73\00:26:44.17 and when he got done, 00:26:44.20\00:26:45.53 he usually would come down to the front 00:26:45.57\00:26:47.30 and kneel and pray or sit at the front row 00:26:47.34\00:26:50.54 and he got through preaching that day, 00:26:50.57\00:26:52.17 and I walked up to him and I said, 00:26:52.21\00:26:53.64 I know I'm young 00:26:53.68\00:26:55.01 but I understand what you're talking about. 00:26:55.04\00:26:56.44 And my dad led me to the Lord. 00:26:56.48\00:26:58.65 And that was the greatest decision 00:26:58.68\00:27:00.02 I ever made, greatest day of my life. 00:27:00.05\00:27:01.82 And I didn't realized it really then how amazing salvation is 00:27:01.85\00:27:05.85 but the longer I live and the older I get, 00:27:05.89\00:27:08.36 the more I realize 00:27:08.39\00:27:09.82 how much we really received in that moment of salvation. 00:27:09.86\00:27:12.93 What an amazing gift that we have. 00:27:12.96\00:27:15.93 And so the longer I live, 00:27:15.96\00:27:17.30 the more grateful I'm for that moment, 00:27:17.33\00:27:18.77 but I'm grateful for mom and dad 00:27:18.80\00:27:20.54 who lived it in front of me. 00:27:20.57\00:27:22.70 And I knew at a young age, I needed a savior 00:27:22.74\00:27:25.44 and, you know, it's really been, it's been 00:27:25.47\00:27:28.04 just the greatest decision of my life. 00:27:28.08\00:27:30.05 So I'm so grateful. 00:27:30.08\00:27:31.41 Were you ever tempted to go out into the world to sing 00:27:31.45\00:27:34.22 because the gift that you have is so amazing 00:27:34.25\00:27:36.69 and the world can be so seductive. 00:27:36.72\00:27:38.79 Did you ever thought about that? 00:27:38.82\00:27:40.16 No, you know, I really have never had a desire to sing 00:27:40.19\00:27:42.02 any other kind of music but I'll tell you what I did. 00:27:42.06\00:27:44.53 Mom and dad if they see this show, 00:27:44.56\00:27:46.06 We were only allowed to listen to gospel music growing up. 00:27:48.13\00:27:51.03 They just, all they would have is gospel music 00:27:51.07\00:27:52.67 which I loved and I felt in love 00:27:52.70\00:27:54.30 with that in an early age, 00:27:54.34\00:27:55.67 but I did love some of the secular music, 00:27:55.70\00:27:57.87 just some of them, just the quality that was, 00:27:57.91\00:27:59.81 you know, that went into the production, 00:27:59.84\00:28:01.24 so we had an old car out at the back of our property 00:28:01.28\00:28:04.08 that the battery was still hooked up. 00:28:04.11\00:28:05.58 Car didn't run but the radio worked. 00:28:05.61\00:28:07.95 And I go out there and I listen to some Lionel Richie 00:28:07.98\00:28:10.32 and some other kind, I mean Chicago and some of that. 00:28:10.35\00:28:13.46 But you know what, no, I really, 00:28:13.49\00:28:15.02 I love music in general. 00:28:15.06\00:28:16.96 I'm grateful for that but I love about this music is 00:28:16.99\00:28:20.30 the lyrics separates it from any other kind of music 00:28:20.33\00:28:22.70 and what I love about it is the musicality is beautiful, 00:28:22.73\00:28:26.84 the harmony is beautiful, the notes are beautiful 00:28:26.87\00:28:29.04 but the lyric can change your life. 00:28:29.07\00:28:31.21 Simple as this, it sounds like home to me. 00:28:31.24\00:28:33.31 I mean it really makes you look forward to heaven. 00:28:33.34\00:28:35.84 And whatever your problems are around you to know 00:28:35.88\00:28:39.61 that very soon this is all over. 00:28:39.65\00:28:41.02 Absolutely. 00:28:41.05\00:28:42.38 And it gives you such hope and such encouragement 00:28:42.42\00:28:44.85 and so gospel music can do that, none of the other. 00:28:44.89\00:28:48.06 I used to-- 00:28:48.09\00:28:49.42 I'm lot older than you but I used to-- 00:28:49.46\00:28:50.83 my folks had mostly gospel too, they did some country. 00:28:50.86\00:28:53.83 My dad and mother were country western musicians 00:28:53.86\00:28:56.33 before they became Christians, 00:28:56.36\00:28:57.93 but they quit, but I'll go out and look at me, 00:28:57.97\00:29:00.90 I'm as helpless, you know, that song, mystery, 00:29:00.94\00:29:03.27 that type 'cause I always like the chords 00:29:03.30\00:29:05.67 and I thought I'm gonna get my guitar 00:29:05.71\00:29:07.08 and see if I can play some of those chords, 00:29:07.11\00:29:09.18 so I like to have it but when it call comes 00:29:09.21\00:29:11.21 right back down to it, as you said, 00:29:11.25\00:29:14.08 it's nothing has answers for this world's, 00:29:14.12\00:29:16.72 problem today, problems today except songs that 00:29:16.75\00:29:20.69 and testimonies of the Lord Jesus Christ. 00:29:20.72\00:29:23.29 Our greatest asset is our personal testimony 00:29:23.32\00:29:26.59 and most songs are born out of, 00:29:26.63\00:29:29.03 you're songwriter your personal testimony. 00:29:29.06\00:29:31.17 Absolutely. 00:29:31.20\00:29:32.53 Speaking that, we have a song I think coming up next. 00:29:32.57\00:29:35.54 It says every cry 00:29:35.57\00:29:37.17 and I think this was born out of your testimony. 00:29:37.21\00:29:38.97 It really was. 00:29:39.01\00:29:40.34 There was, we were on a ship to Canada and I had, 00:29:40.38\00:29:43.35 we've gone over to do a whole lot of concerts 00:29:43.38\00:29:45.15 and I shut my phone off 00:29:45.18\00:29:46.51 because the roaming charges are expensive 00:29:46.55\00:29:48.85 and I just turned my phone off, 00:29:48.88\00:29:50.25 we did a whole string of concerts. 00:29:50.29\00:29:52.15 And when we came to the boarder to cross back into the US, 00:29:52.19\00:29:55.32 I turned my phone back on and I know 00:29:55.36\00:29:57.56 I just had multiple messages from home. 00:29:57.59\00:30:00.13 And I thought something must be wrong, 00:30:00.16\00:30:01.50 I better call and see what's up. 00:30:01.53\00:30:03.06 Well, I called home and got hold of my mom 00:30:03.10\00:30:05.20 and she's like, I'll tell you your sister Debra 00:30:05.23\00:30:07.47 who is my older sister, 00:30:07.50\00:30:08.84 she said she's been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. 00:30:08.87\00:30:12.61 And they're going to do surgery immediately 00:30:12.64\00:30:14.21 and then radiation and chemo to follow. 00:30:14.24\00:30:16.78 And in that moment, you know, 00:30:16.81\00:30:18.81 we've walked with the Lord all of our lives. 00:30:18.85\00:30:20.22 And we believe that God is with us 00:30:20.25\00:30:21.65 through everything that we faced. 00:30:21.68\00:30:23.28 We believe that so much we give our lives for that truth, 00:30:23.32\00:30:26.32 but in that moment, 00:30:26.35\00:30:27.69 you still feel the pain for your family, 00:30:27.72\00:30:29.62 your heart still breaks for your family. 00:30:29.66\00:30:31.19 And I wondered what I would say to them, 00:30:31.23\00:30:33.46 to try to encourage my sister and my family. 00:30:33.50\00:30:36.06 And so I had a long ride back 00:30:36.10\00:30:37.43 from the border of Canada to Nashville, 00:30:37.47\00:30:40.27 and I had some time on my hands so I thought, 00:30:40.30\00:30:42.14 well, soon as I get back to Nashville, 00:30:42.17\00:30:43.67 I'll fly to see my sister. 00:30:43.71\00:30:45.84 But I thought, what will I say to her in that moment. 00:30:45.87\00:30:47.91 And I thought, well, I'm a songwriter, 00:30:47.94\00:30:49.44 I can usually say it better in a song 00:30:49.48\00:30:51.68 than I can say it just walk up and say it to her. 00:30:51.71\00:30:54.02 So I had some time 00:30:54.05\00:30:55.42 and I sat and wrote a little song for her. 00:30:55.45\00:30:58.22 And I went down and sang it to her. 00:30:58.25\00:30:59.59 I didn't have a recorder or arranger, 00:30:59.62\00:31:01.22 just took a guitar and played for her and saying, 00:31:01.26\00:31:03.56 and it really was a lot of encouragement 00:31:03.59\00:31:05.59 for her at that moment. 00:31:05.63\00:31:07.30 And the amazing thing was 00:31:07.33\00:31:08.76 when we start to singing the song out, 00:31:08.80\00:31:11.00 people started hearing it, 00:31:11.03\00:31:12.37 we get more emails 00:31:12.40\00:31:13.74 and more comments about the song 00:31:13.77\00:31:15.17 and people say, 00:31:15.20\00:31:16.54 you may have written that for your sister 00:31:16.57\00:31:17.91 but those lyrics were for me, I needed to hear that. 00:31:17.94\00:31:21.08 And so that's one of the amazing thing 00:31:21.11\00:31:22.81 of this message is you can 00:31:22.84\00:31:24.65 write it for someone in particular 00:31:24.68\00:31:26.18 but is relative, 00:31:26.21\00:31:27.55 people are all going through something. 00:31:27.58\00:31:30.25 And I remember hearing Zig Ziglar 00:31:30.29\00:31:32.15 say one time, "Treat everyone as though they're hurting 00:31:32.19\00:31:35.02 and you'll be treating them in the proper manner." 00:31:35.06\00:31:37.39 So we're all hurt, we all go through difficulties 00:31:37.43\00:31:39.56 and that's why this song was born 00:31:39.59\00:31:41.66 and I'm thankful it's been a blessing to a lot of people. 00:31:41.70\00:31:44.23 Absolutely. 00:31:44.27\00:31:45.60 So we want you all to do for us at this time, every cry. 00:31:45.63\00:31:49.10 Yvonne, I'm so blessed, 00:31:49.14\00:31:50.81 this program, I just really feel 00:31:50.84\00:31:52.34 that I'm drawing closer to Jesus. 00:31:52.37\00:31:54.44 Yes. 00:31:54.48\00:31:55.81 And not only the quality of the music 00:31:55.84\00:31:58.61 but the songs. 00:31:58.65\00:32:00.12 And I've heard some of the other songs 00:32:00.15\00:32:01.65 that Jim has written and Melissa 00:32:01.68\00:32:03.99 and absolutely the people who know the voice of the Lord 00:32:04.02\00:32:08.19 and know how to communicate and what a gift. 00:32:08.22\00:32:10.46 I'm so thankful that they're using their time, 00:32:10.49\00:32:12.89 their talents, their abilities for the Lord. 00:32:12.93\00:32:15.30 You talk about singing in the world 00:32:15.33\00:32:17.23 and you did that for a while. 00:32:17.27\00:32:18.63 I did. 00:32:18.67\00:32:20.00 And but you came back to the Lord 00:32:20.04\00:32:21.37 and I know, you've got gold and platinum makers 00:32:21.40\00:32:24.21 and you sing with, you know, 00:32:24.24\00:32:25.77 the Whitney Houston's and all of that, 00:32:25.81\00:32:27.18 but I've heard you say, 00:32:27.21\00:32:28.74 the greatest moments of your life have been 00:32:28.78\00:32:32.11 since you came back to Jesus. 00:32:32.15\00:32:33.48 Oh, yes, by far. 00:32:33.52\00:32:34.88 And none of that ever compares. 00:32:34.92\00:32:36.28 You can't compare singing about 00:32:36.32\00:32:38.12 Charmin bathroom tissue and Jesus Christ. 00:32:38.15\00:32:40.92 You know, what I mean. I mean, there's no comparison. 00:32:40.96\00:32:43.43 The money is not too bad by the way. 00:32:43.46\00:32:45.19 Well, the money, the money but, 00:32:45.23\00:32:47.40 but in terms of the experience and in terms of just, 00:32:47.43\00:32:51.13 its redemptiveness, you just can't, 00:32:51.17\00:32:53.47 you just can't compare it, 00:32:53.50\00:32:54.90 so it's the most wonderful decision 00:32:54.94\00:32:58.04 that I ever made just like Jim has said earlier 00:32:58.07\00:33:00.68 was coming to the Lord. 00:33:00.71\00:33:02.08 Amen. All right. It's just wonderful. 00:33:02.11\00:33:03.95 We're gonna be blessed as they sing "Every Cry." 00:33:03.98\00:33:06.51 When you face 00:33:17.63\00:33:20.53 Life's great disappointments 00:33:20.56\00:33:28.00 And answers are so hard to find 00:33:28.04\00:33:34.11 There is One 00:33:36.95\00:33:38.61 You can always depend on 00:33:38.65\00:33:44.25 To walk every step by your side 00:33:46.69\00:33:53.46 Every cry is heard 00:33:56.30\00:34:01.54 By the Father 00:34:01.57\00:34:06.17 Not one tear from your eye goes unseen 00:34:06.21\00:34:13.42 He lovingly cares 00:34:16.38\00:34:21.22 For His children 00:34:21.26\00:34:25.39 Let His love be 00:34:25.43\00:34:28.36 The strength that you need 00:34:28.40\00:34:35.84 There's a deep settled peace 00:34:35.87\00:34:41.08 When you know Him 00:34:41.11\00:34:44.51 You can rest 00:34:44.55\00:34:47.75 Just knowing He cares 00:34:47.78\00:34:54.52 No matter 00:34:54.56\00:34:56.73 What's waiting before you 00:34:56.76\00:35:03.00 He has promised 00:35:03.03\00:35:06.07 He'll always be there 00:35:06.10\00:35:12.97 Every cry is heard 00:35:13.01\00:35:18.05 By the Father 00:35:18.08\00:35:22.68 Not one tear 00:35:22.72\00:35:25.09 From your eye goes unseen 00:35:25.12\00:35:32.79 He lovingly cares 00:35:32.83\00:35:37.73 For His children 00:35:37.77\00:35:42.24 Let His love be 00:35:42.27\00:35:44.74 The strength that you need 00:35:44.77\00:35:51.71 Every cry is heard 00:35:51.75\00:35:56.22 By the Father 00:35:56.25\00:36:00.96 Not one tear 00:36:00.99\00:36:03.26 From your eye goes unseen 00:36:03.29\00:36:10.93 He lovingly cares 00:36:10.97\00:36:15.67 For His children 00:36:15.70\00:36:19.97 Let His love be 00:36:20.01\00:36:22.81 The strength that you need 00:36:22.84\00:36:29.92 He lovingly cares 00:36:29.95\00:36:36.52 For His 00:36:36.56\00:36:40.70 Children 00:36:40.73\00:36:45.27 Let His love be 00:36:45.30\00:36:48.60 The strength that you need. 00:36:48.64\00:36:54.68 He lovingly cares for His children. 00:37:20.07\00:37:21.94 Absolutely. 00:37:21.97\00:37:23.30 And, you know, every time you go through some thing, 00:37:23.34\00:37:25.74 you can just sense when you pray, 00:37:25.77\00:37:28.24 you can sense that God has got you. 00:37:28.28\00:37:30.38 You read the word, you know, God's not gonna let you fall, 00:37:30.41\00:37:33.72 that personal touch that Jesus has is just, 00:37:33.75\00:37:38.19 it's just incomprehensible. 00:37:38.22\00:37:39.65 That's amazing. 00:37:39.69\00:37:41.02 You know, there's another song that says 00:37:41.06\00:37:42.39 He is big enough to rule this might universe, 00:37:42.42\00:37:45.06 yet He is small enough to live within our hearts. 00:37:45.09\00:37:48.06 And, I think there is more to the story, 00:37:48.10\00:37:51.07 I'd like to hear the rest of the story 00:37:51.10\00:37:52.63 after you sing the song, 00:37:52.67\00:37:54.90 but for your sister and Melissa, 00:37:54.94\00:37:56.77 tell us what happened now after? 00:37:56.81\00:37:59.31 Well, Jim's sister was diagnosed with the cancer 00:37:59.34\00:38:01.78 about five years ago. 00:38:01.81\00:38:03.14 Yes. 00:38:03.18\00:38:04.51 And she had surgery, chemo, radiation 00:38:04.55\00:38:07.78 and she was doing really well. 00:38:07.82\00:38:09.35 The cancer was in remission. 00:38:09.38\00:38:11.35 And about two years ago, the cancer came back. 00:38:11.39\00:38:14.16 And it was devastating to our family 00:38:14.19\00:38:16.09 because we know what that means, 00:38:16.12\00:38:17.66 you know, once that comes back, it comes back more viciously 00:38:17.69\00:38:20.96 and we got a call form her 00:38:21.00\00:38:23.03 and this was the amazing thing that God did. 00:38:23.06\00:38:26.20 The day that she walked into the doctor's office 00:38:26.23\00:38:28.70 to get that diagnose says yes, the cancer is back. 00:38:28.74\00:38:32.07 She walked out to her car and turned on the ignition 00:38:32.11\00:38:35.48 and her radio started playing and it was that song. 00:38:35.51\00:38:39.41 And she called Jim, and she said, 00:38:39.45\00:38:41.28 God did that just for me. That's right. 00:38:41.32\00:38:44.32 And I love knowing he is a personal savior 00:38:44.35\00:38:47.56 and when we needed the most, 00:38:47.59\00:38:49.66 what we need will be on that television show 00:38:49.69\00:38:52.03 that we're watching 00:38:52.06\00:38:53.40 or on the radio to be the word from the Lord 00:38:53.43\00:38:56.50 that says, I still love you. 00:38:56.53\00:38:59.23 I'm still taking care of you. And I'm so thankful for that. 00:38:59.27\00:39:02.94 I'm so thankful that God did that for her 00:39:02.97\00:39:06.01 because it encouraged me as well. 00:39:06.04\00:39:07.48 Amen. 00:39:07.51\00:39:08.84 So we can say that's coincidence 00:39:08.88\00:39:10.65 or divine providence, right? 00:39:10.68\00:39:12.88 But we know which one it is. Absolutely. 00:39:12.91\00:39:14.95 Divine providence 00:39:14.98\00:39:16.32 because coincidences would happen once in a while 00:39:16.35\00:39:18.89 but in the line of ministry that we're in, 00:39:18.92\00:39:22.62 we see these miracles happen all the time. 00:39:22.66\00:39:25.53 So we know they are not coincidences 00:39:25.56\00:39:27.30 but they're divine providence. 00:39:27.33\00:39:29.56 And I'm glad we serve that God of mighty miracles 00:39:29.60\00:39:32.40 and that God that gives us the comfort. 00:39:32.43\00:39:34.40 You know, this life 00:39:34.44\00:39:36.00 and we talk about with our viewers quite a bit. 00:39:36.04\00:39:39.01 This life is not all there is. 00:39:39.04\00:39:40.91 So people say, well, 00:39:40.94\00:39:42.58 you know, how come you guys are Christians 00:39:42.61\00:39:44.75 and you still get sick and we notice you still die. 00:39:44.78\00:39:48.12 Some of you may live a little longer 00:39:48.15\00:39:49.48 but some of you, you know, kids get die 00:39:49.52\00:39:52.19 and whatever happens. 00:39:52.22\00:39:53.86 And we say, you know, that's why we need a savior. 00:39:53.89\00:39:56.02 That's why we need a new earth. 00:39:56.06\00:39:57.63 Since Satan was loosed on this earth, 00:39:57.66\00:39:59.93 he is the prince of this earth, 00:39:59.96\00:40:01.30 but we serve the God of the universe. 00:40:01.33\00:40:03.26 So soon and very soon when Jesus comes back, 00:40:03.30\00:40:06.87 all of that's erased, the song, you know, it turn bright, 00:40:06.90\00:40:10.64 turn your eyes upon Jesus, 00:40:10.67\00:40:12.01 look full in his wonderful face, 00:40:12.04\00:40:13.58 the things of earth will grow strangely dim. 00:40:13.61\00:40:15.94 And when he comes back, 00:40:15.98\00:40:17.31 we won't even remember, we won't even remember, 00:40:17.35\00:40:20.55 I wrote a song several years ago. 00:40:20.58\00:40:22.45 I was carpenter before I went into 3ABN, 00:40:22.48\00:40:24.72 I was one a pole barn building and it was way up high 00:40:24.75\00:40:27.82 and the sun was coming up in the morning 00:40:27.86\00:40:29.92 and all of a sudden, it reminded me 00:40:29.96\00:40:31.69 of the second coming. 00:40:31.73\00:40:33.40 And, you know, there are songs that says 00:40:33.43\00:40:35.13 when we've been there 10,000 years 00:40:35.16\00:40:37.10 and all of this novel send and it hit me, 00:40:37.13\00:40:39.70 we don't need 10,000 years to enjoy or appreciate 00:40:39.73\00:40:43.94 or be awed by God in His glory, in His majesty and eternity, 00:40:43.97\00:40:48.64 the first foment of eternity, 00:40:48.68\00:40:50.25 so I wrote a song, the first moment of eternity 00:40:50.28\00:40:53.25 and that's what's really going to happen here 00:40:53.28\00:40:54.88 all the things that seemed so bad, 00:40:54.92\00:40:58.62 so bad now is simply will all be wiped away. 00:40:58.65\00:41:02.36 And so now, we have an eternity to spend together. 00:41:02.39\00:41:05.09 If you're not a Christian today, 00:41:05.13\00:41:07.10 we're inviting you to accept the Lord Jesus Christ 00:41:07.13\00:41:09.83 as Lord and savior of your life. 00:41:09.86\00:41:11.77 There is no other, 00:41:11.80\00:41:13.13 we're all born terminal on this earth. 00:41:13.17\00:41:15.54 We don't like to think about it. 00:41:15.57\00:41:16.91 We see this beautiful baby and I've got the grandchildren 00:41:16.94\00:41:20.54 but should the Lord tarry, 00:41:20.58\00:41:22.04 everyone of us are born terminal. 00:41:22.08\00:41:24.18 The only out is to literally submit and commit our lives 00:41:24.21\00:41:28.18 to the Lord Jesus Christ. 00:41:28.22\00:41:29.55 Amen. 00:41:29.58\00:41:30.92 And so then, after we do that, what do we do? 00:41:30.95\00:41:32.85 The Bible says go and tell. 00:41:32.89\00:41:34.59 Go and tell what He has done for us, 00:41:34.62\00:41:35.96 so your greatest asset is your personal testimony 00:41:35.99\00:41:39.33 of what God has done for you. 00:41:39.36\00:41:41.23 Speaking of that, Melissa, 00:41:41.26\00:41:43.23 I'd like to hear a little bit about you, your testimony. 00:41:43.26\00:41:46.53 Did you... 00:41:46.57\00:41:49.10 you know, probably baptized in early age. 00:41:49.14\00:41:51.41 Did you ever leave the Lord? 00:41:51.44\00:41:53.74 I didn't, I was too scared. 00:41:53.78\00:41:58.45 You know, I'm the only child, daddy's girl 00:41:58.48\00:42:01.58 and I grew up in a Christian home, 00:42:01.62\00:42:03.65 although my dad, 00:42:03.69\00:42:05.35 he didn't give his heart to the Lord until I was five. 00:42:05.39\00:42:07.96 And he was rock and roller, drugs, I mean he dealt drugs, 00:42:07.99\00:42:12.56 he was in a really rough life in his early days 00:42:12.59\00:42:15.93 from that he ran away from home at 13 00:42:15.96\00:42:18.67 and didn't give his heart to the Lord until he was 26. 00:42:18.70\00:42:20.90 So he had 13 years of living a rough life. 00:42:20.94\00:42:23.91 And when he gave his heart to the Lord, 00:42:23.94\00:42:26.01 he was wholeheartedly for Jesus from that moment on. 00:42:26.04\00:42:29.28 And so, I was raised in a very conservative home 00:42:29.31\00:42:33.18 and my dad never had to do much disciplining, 00:42:33.21\00:42:37.35 all he had to do was look me. 00:42:37.39\00:42:39.12 And if I though the was disappointed at me, 00:42:39.15\00:42:40.92 my heart was broken. 00:42:40.96\00:42:42.49 So I stayed pretty closed to home 00:42:42.52\00:42:45.13 and I think also what the Lord did for me. 00:42:45.16\00:42:48.86 I gave my heart to the Lord as a teenage girl 00:42:48.90\00:42:51.67 and then because I traveled with my parents 00:42:51.70\00:42:54.47 doing evangelistic work. 00:42:54.50\00:42:56.10 Dad would preach sermons 00:42:56.14\00:42:57.74 and mom and I would sing with him. 00:42:57.77\00:42:59.64 I think having that creative outlet in my life 00:42:59.67\00:43:02.94 and being able to understand a little bit better 00:43:02.98\00:43:06.15 about what serving God was at a young age, 00:43:06.18\00:43:09.62 just made me love it that much more. 00:43:09.65\00:43:11.65 And so that's why I don't think, 00:43:11.69\00:43:13.46 I never really had a desire to do anything else 00:43:13.49\00:43:15.62 except for what I was already doing. 00:43:15.66\00:43:17.56 And so, as an adult now I look back on it 00:43:17.59\00:43:20.53 and thank God for it because I realized 00:43:20.56\00:43:23.43 it probably kept me out of a lot of trouble. 00:43:23.47\00:43:25.23 Absolutely. 00:43:25.27\00:43:26.60 And imagine the difference in your life 00:43:26.63\00:43:29.47 had your father not found the Lord. 00:43:29.50\00:43:31.57 You would have been born into that 00:43:31.61\00:43:32.94 and raised in that type of atmosphere, 00:43:32.97\00:43:34.71 may not be here today. 00:43:34.74\00:43:36.08 Exactly. And he may not either. 00:43:36.11\00:43:38.38 And so, you know, 00:43:38.41\00:43:40.22 it's an incredible time to be alive 00:43:40.25\00:43:42.08 in the closing moments of earth's history. 00:43:42.12\00:43:44.29 And again, I'm so thankful you guys are here, 00:43:44.32\00:43:46.59 I think we gonna have time for Mr. Tim Parton. 00:43:46.62\00:43:50.39 Now, Tim, give us a little bit of your background. 00:43:50.43\00:43:52.59 Now, your dad was musical also, right? 00:43:52.63\00:43:56.10 And your parents were, Tim, what about your folks. 00:43:56.13\00:43:58.03 Tell us about your folks? 00:43:58.07\00:44:00.04 Sure. Now, you were born where? 00:44:00.07\00:44:02.00 I was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Yes, sir. 00:44:02.04\00:44:04.81 I was born into a singing family, 00:44:04.84\00:44:06.41 so that's the thing that we all have in common. 00:44:06.44\00:44:08.08 Each of us were born into the same families 00:44:08.11\00:44:09.98 or musical families and I was... 00:44:10.01\00:44:14.88 I gave my life to Christ when I was seven. 00:44:14.95\00:44:17.45 And you know, one of the things 00:44:17.49\00:44:18.82 that I think I have struggled the most with 00:44:18.85\00:44:20.99 in my walk is not having that time when I-- 00:44:21.02\00:44:28.60 there was something bad that went wrong in my life that, 00:44:28.63\00:44:30.97 you know, that I strayed from God. 00:44:31.00\00:44:32.50 And so because we talk to so many people 00:44:32.53\00:44:34.44 that they say, well, you got to have something 00:44:34.47\00:44:36.94 that you were saved from, 00:44:36.97\00:44:38.31 you know, something that was devastating in your life 00:44:38.34\00:44:40.64 that you made you a bad person. 00:44:40.68\00:44:42.11 Saved form sin. Right. 00:44:42.14\00:44:43.61 That's the thing, you know, you're saved from sin, 00:44:43.65\00:44:45.71 being born into a sinful nature but we're sinners 00:44:45.75\00:44:49.48 and so giving our life to Christ, 00:44:49.52\00:44:51.42 it doesn't mean we have to be saved from anything bad, 00:44:51.45\00:44:53.69 it just means that we're surrendering our life to God 00:44:53.72\00:44:56.16 and choosing to follow Him for the rest of our life 00:44:56.19\00:44:58.46 and so I've been so honored to have been literally 00:44:58.49\00:45:02.00 the path has been laid open for me. 00:45:02.03\00:45:03.53 You talk about providence, 00:45:03.57\00:45:05.00 God has opened so many doors for me 00:45:05.03\00:45:06.87 and given me the talent and then open the door, 00:45:06.90\00:45:09.94 it's just like He gave it to me then opened the door for me 00:45:09.97\00:45:12.87 and I mean, I couldn't have it any easier. 00:45:12.91\00:45:14.91 God has been so good to me. 00:45:14.94\00:45:16.28 He blessed me and gave me this opportunity to sing 00:45:16.31\00:45:19.58 and play the piano and so, 00:45:19.61\00:45:21.68 and here I am with Danny Shelton 00:45:21.72\00:45:25.09 All right, don't make fun. I'm not making fun. 00:45:25.12\00:45:27.52 You knew I'm serious, I love you too. 00:45:27.56\00:45:29.82 Well, I love you too. 00:45:29.86\00:45:31.19 Now, quite a lot of people probably don't realizes 00:45:31.23\00:45:34.76 when you listen to Tim play, 00:45:34.80\00:45:36.23 you assume that he came from the Juilliard School of music, 00:45:36.26\00:45:38.93 right? 00:45:38.97\00:45:40.30 But you don't, I mean, you didn't grow up 00:45:40.34\00:45:43.84 with any technical training, right? 00:45:43.87\00:45:45.21 No, sir. 00:45:45.24\00:45:46.57 You didn't do music theory and you didn't do all that. 00:45:46.61\00:45:47.94 I'll tell you, I took a year and half 00:45:47.98\00:45:49.31 of piano lessons and after the teacher like, 00:45:49.34\00:45:51.08 I couldn't teach him anything, 00:45:51.11\00:45:52.45 I said, you know, you're hopeless. 00:45:52.48\00:45:54.15 I am not able to-- 00:45:54.18\00:45:55.52 You know, truly, I did took lessons 00:45:55.55\00:45:57.12 for year and half and didn't, it didn't take 00:45:57.15\00:46:00.62 so my dad said, 00:46:00.66\00:46:01.99 well, why don't you just start playing for the family. 00:46:02.02\00:46:03.49 And, well, that's-- I went from there. 00:46:03.53\00:46:07.10 See, I took piano for about year and half 00:46:07.13\00:46:09.03 and I don't play like you. 00:46:09.06\00:46:12.33 We need to talk. 00:46:12.37\00:46:13.70 I'll show you some stuff. Okay. Good, good. 00:46:13.74\00:46:16.00 But your gift, people says, 00:46:16.04\00:46:18.07 well, I wish I could play like that, 00:46:18.11\00:46:19.71 I have a brother who plays a piano very well. 00:46:19.74\00:46:21.84 And a relative 00:46:21.88\00:46:23.21 of kind of shirt-tail relative of ours said, 00:46:23.24\00:46:25.48 you know what? 00:46:25.51\00:46:26.85 This is after he has grown. 00:46:26.88\00:46:28.22 My brother started playing at 00:46:28.25\00:46:29.58 three, four, five, six years old, 00:46:29.62\00:46:30.95 played all of his life. 00:46:30.99\00:46:32.32 Well, this fellow became a Christian, 00:46:32.35\00:46:33.69 gave his heart to the Lord 00:46:33.72\00:46:35.06 and went to the church that says, 00:46:35.09\00:46:36.42 basically he named and claim it. 00:46:36.46\00:46:37.79 So he said, come home 00:46:37.83\00:46:39.86 and I'm praying that I will get the same gift as he has. 00:46:39.89\00:46:43.53 So he said, everyday I come home from work, 00:46:43.57\00:46:46.10 I sit down, I bought an organ and I play it. 00:46:46.13\00:46:48.40 And I'll say, no, that gift is not here today. 00:46:48.44\00:46:50.71 And so he said, but it's going to come, 00:46:50.74\00:46:52.97 one of these days, I'm gonna set out. 00:46:53.01\00:46:55.04 My brother said, if he does, I won't be mad about this. 00:46:55.08\00:46:58.05 I had to spend my whole life playing and so. 00:46:58.08\00:47:00.05 Right, just because I didn't take lessons, 00:47:00.08\00:47:01.65 it doesn't mean I haven't practiced 00:47:01.68\00:47:03.15 and work for it for sure. 00:47:03.18\00:47:04.72 He still work, he still work. 00:47:04.75\00:47:06.79 That's the beauty of it. 00:47:06.82\00:47:08.29 The gifts are there, God gives us all gifts 00:47:08.32\00:47:11.19 but it's really what you and I do with those gifts. 00:47:11.23\00:47:13.90 And Tim has dedicated his life to music 00:47:13.93\00:47:17.17 and some of the stuff, you know, 00:47:17.20\00:47:19.37 we can be our serious songs whatever now and then, 00:47:19.40\00:47:22.44 we get him to play something light and fun. 00:47:22.47\00:47:25.37 And I think we're gonna get you 00:47:25.41\00:47:26.74 to do that in just a moment. 00:47:26.78\00:47:28.11 What's the name of the song you're going to be doing? 00:47:28.14\00:47:29.48 "Just A Little While." Okay. 00:47:29.51\00:47:30.85 Just A Little While. Is this a medley? 00:47:30.88\00:47:32.91 Well, it has a song called the William Tell Overture. 00:47:32.95\00:47:36.12 Okay. It's all right. That's the one now. 00:47:36.15\00:47:39.05 When I was a kid, well, you get ready to play. 00:47:39.09\00:47:41.72 When I was a kid, was that the one 00:47:41.76\00:47:43.09 the Lone Ranger. 00:47:43.12\00:47:44.46 Alone Ranger. I think it's a Lone Ranger. 00:47:44.49\00:47:45.83 I didn't know till I was grown 00:47:45.86\00:47:47.20 that there was actually WilliamTell Overture. 00:47:47.23\00:47:50.00 I thought he took it from Lone Ranger. 00:47:50.03\00:47:52.43 I was in this contest one time 00:47:52.47\00:47:55.00 and the question was what is the song, 00:47:55.04\00:47:57.97 what is the song, you know, was there. 00:47:58.01\00:47:59.97 Oh, come on, don't tell me.
