00:01 Friends, as you know our time comes and goes,
00:03 sometimes too quickly as is the case
00:05 for this program today.
00:07 But I want to give Shoshon and Nalini and Jean Paul--
00:11 but I want to ask Shoshon our audience,
00:13 I want to have you communicate to them.
00:15 What's the greatest impact they could make right now
00:18 to change lives in these camps?
00:21 Well, we need your prayers first and foremost.
00:23 You know, we run off of prayers,
00:24 so please pray for us
00:25 and pray especially for the students
00:27 in the refugee camps.
00:28 But we have a huge financial need as well.
00:31 We get so many applications for an opportunity
00:34 to leave the camps and get an education.
00:36 Right now there are five refugee camps
00:38 and we are only working in one.
00:41 A thousand applicants that
00:42 just try to get out of the camps,
00:44 we only had financial resources to support four students.
00:49 So there is a huge financial need for us
00:51 to be able to reach the additional camps
00:53 that we are not working in.
00:54 There are many other students equally deserving as Jean Paul
00:58 who have applied to our program
01:00 and returned back to the camps struggling with the fact
01:05 that there were no resources for them,
01:06 that there was no opportunity for them.
01:09 And I think that right now
01:10 we have a real chance to invest in them.
01:15 You know, these are the kinds of
01:16 young leaders that Africa needs.
01:18 People of faith, people of integrity,
01:20 people who against all odds have chosen peace
01:23 and have dedicated themselves to furthering their own future
01:27 and the future of the other boys and girls
01:30 and the children in the camp.
01:31 So I ask that we could invest in them
01:34 and that our audience could invest
01:35 in our work there in Africa.
01:37 Wow.
01:38 And now, Nalini,
01:39 also what needs can we begin to participate in
01:43 to make a difference here?
01:45 The greatest need,
01:46 I should be very honest with you
01:48 is financial needs right now.
01:50 We have a huge financial need.
01:52 We started with just faith
01:54 and that's more than enough for us.
01:56 We know the Lord is going to bless and open up doors.
01:59 And so we need your help,
02:00 we need everyone to support us
02:01 in whatever financial way they can.
02:04 In prayers, you know,
02:05 just being part of the Adventist Impact.
02:07 We don't--
02:08 we are just almost three months old Adventist Impact
02:11 saw the need and decided yes, we need to start,
02:15 we need to help our people.
02:16 These are--
02:17 this is our family,
02:18 these are our children and these are our people.
02:21 We need to get them out of there.
02:23 You know, I want to appeal to our audience the story
02:25 that you heard today Jean Paul story
02:27 is yet to be told
02:28 in the lives of thousands of young people,
02:30 generations that are still waiting to just
02:33 receive basic education.
02:35 We want you to pray and also the information
02:37 that you received to send your financial support.
02:40 What an impact it would be not just globally
02:43 but also generationally.
02:45 So may God bless you as you give.
02:47 We know the Lord will bless you as He gives back to you.
02:49 God bless you until we see you again.
