Where did we come from? 00:00:10.94\00:00:14.11 The Bible says, "In the beginning God created." 00:00:14.14\00:00:17.58 Evolution teaches the opposite. 00:00:20.62\00:00:22.68 No one created, it all happened by itself. 00:00:22.72\00:00:26.12 Which one is the truth? 00:00:26.15\00:00:30.23 This is Headquarters, 00:00:30.26\00:00:34.13 Doc M. 00:00:34.16\00:00:35.50 Jacqui, 00:00:38.57\00:00:41.07 and Rich, 00:00:41.10\00:00:44.77 their job, investigate and discover the truth. 00:00:44.81\00:00:48.41 This is The Creation Case. 00:00:52.35\00:00:54.75 Wait a minute, what are these? 00:01:19.27\00:01:23.55 Oh, those are some pictures 00:01:23.58\00:01:25.08 that I need for my school assignment. 00:01:25.11\00:01:28.62 Look at your chubby cheeks. I'll go tell him. 00:03:52.26\00:03:56.60 Where is Rich? 00:03:56.63\00:03:59.47 He said something about the forest 00:03:59.50\00:04:02.64 and studying gravity. 00:04:02.67\00:04:04.87 Gravity? 00:04:04.91\00:04:06.27 Well, seems simple enough. 00:04:06.31\00:04:08.71 Oops. 00:04:13.08\00:04:14.42 What was that? 00:04:14.45\00:04:15.78 I think I just found a seashell. 00:04:15.82\00:04:19.69 Do you have a creation question for Headquarters? 00:04:19.72\00:04:22.62 Send your questions to Doc, Jacqui, and Rich 00:04:22.66\00:04:25.53 by visiting our website at TheCreationCase.com. 00:04:25.56\00:04:29.36 Hey, I think we got a message from HQ, 00:06:14.67\00:06:17.84 must be our new assignment. 00:06:17.87\00:06:19.21 I gotta get down from here. 00:06:19.24\00:06:20.58 Hi, Rich. 00:06:37.13\00:06:38.46 This is Jacqui at HQ. 00:06:38.49\00:06:40.46 I hope you weren't just hanging around 00:06:40.50\00:06:41.96 waiting for your next assignment too long. 00:06:42.00\00:06:44.23 Hanging, good choice of words. 00:06:44.27\00:06:46.70 I have your new assignment from Doc M. 00:06:46.74\00:06:49.10 Today, we need you to investigate fossils. 00:06:49.14\00:06:53.44 Hey, Rich, if you can see me, 00:06:53.48\00:06:56.54 there's all sorts of old stuff buried in the ground. 00:06:56.58\00:07:00.12 Those fossils must tell some story. 00:07:00.15\00:07:03.42 Yeah, the fossil record, 00:07:06.45\00:07:07.96 the things we need to find in the ground, 00:07:07.99\00:07:09.62 it seem to tell a different story 00:07:09.66\00:07:11.26 to different people. 00:07:11.29\00:07:12.63 Some scientists say fossils are evidence 00:07:12.66\00:07:14.80 that our world is millions of years old. 00:07:14.83\00:07:17.10 Other scientists say fossils aren't that old. 00:07:17.13\00:07:20.77 We've got to get to the bottom of this. 00:07:20.80\00:07:22.84 We do need to get to the bottom of this. 00:07:22.87\00:07:24.97 Please investigate fossils. 00:07:25.01\00:07:26.98 See if the fossil record 00:07:27.01\00:07:28.34 provides any evidence for creation. 00:07:28.38\00:07:31.05 Happy digging. 00:07:31.08\00:07:32.75 Is he gonna have to dig? 00:07:32.78\00:07:34.12 Well, I guess we look forward to your report. 00:07:36.89\00:07:38.82 Fossils, interesting. 00:07:41.82\00:07:43.89 I better let them know I got the message. 00:07:43.93\00:07:47.16 Got message. 00:07:47.20\00:07:50.33 Will dig around 00:07:50.37\00:07:55.37 for information. 00:07:55.40\00:07:59.77 Get it, dig around? 00:07:59.81\00:08:03.11 Another message. 00:08:03.14\00:08:05.51 Very funny. 00:08:05.55\00:08:06.95 I thought it was funny. 00:08:06.98\00:08:10.25 All right, fossils, 00:08:10.29\00:08:11.75 I better write that down in my journal. 00:08:11.79\00:08:13.96 Fossils. 00:08:19.46\00:08:23.40 It's hard to know what happened 00:08:23.43\00:08:25.00 hundreds or thousands of years ago, 00:08:25.03\00:08:26.80 because no one's alive today that was alive back then. 00:08:26.84\00:08:29.84 Fossils provide us clues, and then 00:08:29.87\00:08:31.91 we come up with the best conclusions we can. 00:08:31.94\00:08:36.44 You know, not far from here is a place called Mesa Verde. 00:08:36.48\00:08:39.55 Why don't we start our investigation there? 00:08:39.58\00:08:42.08 It will help us understand how to figure out 00:08:42.12\00:08:44.75 what happened in the past. 00:08:44.79\00:08:46.12 We're off to Colorado. 00:08:46.15\00:08:49.22 Help us investigate today. 00:08:49.26\00:08:52.56 Download and print your own free Journal Study Guide 00:08:52.59\00:08:55.80 at TheCreationCase.com. 00:08:55.83\00:08:58.50 Well, we have arrived in Mesa Verde. 00:09:16.52\00:09:19.09 It's an awesome location 00:09:19.12\00:09:20.66 because we're over 8,000 feet above sea level. 00:09:20.69\00:09:25.19 This is not your typical mountain though. 00:09:25.23\00:09:27.40 This part of Colorado 00:09:27.43\00:09:28.76 is made up of mesas and cuestas, 00:09:28.80\00:09:30.80 high, flat mountains. 00:09:30.83\00:09:32.97 There are a lot of cliffs here, 00:09:33.00\00:09:34.57 but the reason we came here is because about 800 years ago, 00:09:34.60\00:09:37.71 the ancient Puebloan people built cliff dwellings 00:09:37.74\00:09:40.54 right into the cliffs. 00:09:40.58\00:09:41.94 That's what we came to see. 00:09:41.98\00:09:43.31 They lived here for about 100 years. 00:09:49.68\00:09:52.42 And then 700 years ago, they left, 00:09:52.45\00:09:56.73 they abandoned this place. 00:09:56.76\00:09:58.36 Then hundreds and hundreds of years go by, 00:10:02.46\00:10:04.70 and they rediscover this place in the 1800s. 00:10:04.73\00:10:07.04 And everybody wants to know, what happened here? 00:10:07.07\00:10:11.44 It's a bit of a mystery 00:10:11.47\00:10:13.27 because there are over 4,000 archaeological sites 00:10:13.31\00:10:16.98 and over 600 of these cliff dwellings. 00:10:17.01\00:10:20.45 Thousands of people lived in this area. 00:10:20.48\00:10:22.72 There were a lot of questions but very few answers, 00:10:25.72\00:10:29.42 because the people that lived here 00:10:29.46\00:10:30.79 did not leave a written record, nothing. 00:10:30.83\00:10:36.10 That's when you have no choice 00:10:36.13\00:10:37.77 but to look at the pieces that were left behind 00:10:37.80\00:10:40.14 and try to figure out what happened here. 00:10:40.17\00:10:42.27 It's like a big puzzle. 00:10:42.30\00:10:43.81 Puebloans built some interesting things. 00:10:48.14\00:10:51.11 This is a Kiva. 00:10:51.15\00:10:52.61 Let's go down there. 00:10:52.65\00:10:53.98 I can't see a thing in this place. 00:10:58.99\00:11:00.89 It's important to remember as we investigate fossils, 00:11:10.10\00:11:13.07 that when we find fossils, 00:11:13.10\00:11:14.44 they never come with a written record. 00:11:14.47\00:11:17.14 Our only other choice 00:11:17.17\00:11:18.57 is to start looking around for clues 00:11:18.61\00:11:20.81 to try to understand that fossil. 00:11:20.84\00:11:22.91 Here, archaeologists 00:11:22.94\00:11:24.31 are starting to look for other ways 00:11:24.35\00:11:25.75 to understand these fossils. 00:11:25.78\00:11:27.12 Sometimes museums and textbooks teach 00:11:45.00\00:11:47.87 that fossils are millions of years old 00:11:47.90\00:11:50.21 as if they had a tag on them. 00:11:50.24\00:11:52.07 How could they be so sure? 00:11:52.11\00:11:53.54 The only thing we can do 00:11:57.41\00:11:58.95 is study the stuff that we dig up 00:11:58.98\00:12:00.95 and hope to learn more. 00:12:00.98\00:12:03.95 As we look at the clues, 00:12:03.99\00:12:05.95 we have to always keep in mind that 00:12:05.99\00:12:07.96 no one really knows for sure what happened. 00:12:07.99\00:12:10.56 They're just taking their best guess. 00:12:10.59\00:12:13.23 So when a scientist or museum says 00:12:13.26\00:12:15.30 something is millions of years old, remember, 00:12:15.33\00:12:18.33 they really don't know for sure. 00:12:18.37\00:12:22.07 Mesa Verde provides archaeologists with clues 00:12:22.10\00:12:25.31 about the people that used to live here long ago. 00:12:25.34\00:12:27.84 But does nature provide us any clues about creation? 00:12:27.88\00:12:31.98 Evolution teaches that 00:12:32.01\00:12:33.35 tiny animals like the extinct trilobite 00:12:33.38\00:12:35.65 were some of the very first creatures. 00:12:35.68\00:12:40.06 They teach that simple creatures 00:12:40.09\00:12:41.99 evolved into fish, and reptiles, 00:12:42.02\00:12:44.83 and mammals, and birds, and so on. 00:12:44.86\00:12:48.53 The problem is, 00:12:48.56\00:12:50.07 even though we found thousands of different kinds of fossils, 00:12:50.10\00:12:53.27 there's still not a single piece of 00:12:53.30\00:12:55.07 undisputed evidence showing us that 00:12:55.10\00:12:57.24 any of these creatures changed into the other. 00:12:57.27\00:13:00.98 With so many fossils, 00:13:01.01\00:13:02.78 we should be able to find 00:13:02.81\00:13:04.15 countless examples of these transitional species 00:13:04.18\00:13:07.02 changing from one kind of animal to another. 00:13:07.05\00:13:09.98 That's the real problem with evolution, 00:13:10.02\00:13:12.12 a lack of evidence. 00:13:12.15\00:13:14.42 This is important. 00:13:14.46\00:13:15.79 I'm going to write this down in my journal. 00:13:15.82\00:13:17.36 Undisputed evidence of transitional fossils 00:13:23.13\00:13:26.23 has never been found. 00:13:26.27\00:13:27.60 About 150 years ago, 00:13:30.64\00:13:32.61 Charles Darwin was one of the first persons 00:13:32.64\00:13:35.11 to write about this idea of evolution. 00:13:35.14\00:13:38.08 He wrote that the fossils we find today 00:13:38.11\00:13:40.68 do not provide evidence for transitional species 00:13:40.72\00:13:43.52 but hoped that someday we would find those. 00:13:43.55\00:13:46.52 Over 150 years later, 00:13:46.55\00:13:48.66 and scientists are still searching. 00:13:48.69\00:13:52.69 This really bothered some evolutionists. 00:13:52.73\00:13:55.06 So not long ago, 00:13:55.10\00:13:56.43 they started coming up with different explanations 00:13:56.46\00:13:58.43 for why we don't find those transitional species. 00:13:58.47\00:14:01.84 They called their idea, "punctuated equilibrium". 00:14:01.87\00:14:05.51 I know that's a tongue twister. 00:14:05.54\00:14:07.88 They figured, since we can't find those fossils 00:14:07.91\00:14:10.38 showing those changes, 00:14:10.41\00:14:11.81 some large event must have happened 00:14:11.85\00:14:13.75 and caused everything to change all of a sudden, 00:14:13.78\00:14:15.98 but not all scientists agree. 00:14:16.02\00:14:19.12 There are many other problems too. 00:14:19.15\00:14:21.46 For example, trilobites are found 00:14:21.49\00:14:23.66 in the lowest layers of the geologic column. 00:14:23.69\00:14:25.83 And they say they are examples of simple marine creatures. 00:14:25.86\00:14:28.93 But the... 00:14:28.96\00:14:30.37 Actually, you know what? 00:14:30.40\00:14:31.87 There's a place not too far from here in Utah 00:14:31.90\00:14:34.14 where we can actually go and dig trilobites. 00:14:34.17\00:14:36.57 Why don't we go there now? Come on. 00:14:36.60\00:14:37.94 Hi, everyone, Doc M here at Headquarters. 00:14:45.85\00:14:49.78 Look what I have here. 00:14:49.82\00:14:51.15 A fossilized fish. 00:14:53.86\00:14:56.99 We find millions of these all over the world. 00:14:57.03\00:14:59.63 How do they get preserved so nicely? 00:14:59.66\00:15:03.26 I know the answer, Rapid burial. 00:15:03.30\00:15:07.04 You know a lot of scientists 00:15:07.07\00:15:08.40 look for fossils to prove evolution. 00:15:08.44\00:15:10.27 They look for transitional fossils, missing links. 00:15:10.31\00:15:14.54 Fossils that show one type of creature 00:15:14.58\00:15:17.15 may have turned into another kind of creature. 00:15:17.18\00:15:20.55 Something like in between two creatures, for example, 00:15:20.58\00:15:24.12 something in between fish and amphibians, 00:15:24.15\00:15:28.79 I've got a picture for you, let's look. 00:15:28.82\00:15:32.23 A fish would evolve through millions of steps 00:15:32.26\00:15:36.00 over millions of years into an amphibian. 00:15:36.03\00:15:42.14 If some type of fish evolved into some type of amphibian, 00:15:42.17\00:15:44.37 we should be able to find at least 00:15:44.41\00:15:46.34 a few fossils of the steps along the way 00:15:46.37\00:15:48.84 as the fish evolved into the amphibian, 00:15:48.88\00:15:51.31 something again in between. 00:15:51.35\00:15:55.52 Let's look at it this way. 00:15:55.55\00:15:57.89 So the fish would be our white blocks, 00:15:57.92\00:16:01.26 and we have amphibian. 00:16:01.29\00:16:02.96 We expect and we do find 00:16:02.99\00:16:04.79 both of these creatures separate. 00:16:04.83\00:16:07.33 But we would also need for the evolution process 00:16:07.36\00:16:10.00 to be confirmed 00:16:10.03\00:16:11.37 to find one with three white and one red. 00:16:11.40\00:16:16.57 And then we would find one that would be like 00:16:16.60\00:16:19.01 two red ones and two white ones. 00:16:19.04\00:16:21.38 Get a little more in that direction. 00:16:21.41\00:16:23.38 And maybe we would find one that had 00:16:23.41\00:16:25.75 three red ones and one white one. 00:16:25.78\00:16:29.98 Eventually, of course, 00:16:30.02\00:16:31.35 we would find one with all red ones. 00:16:31.39\00:16:35.12 But in real life, all those in between steps don't exist. 00:16:35.16\00:16:39.39 All of them, we only find fish 00:16:39.43\00:16:43.83 and we find amphibians. 00:16:43.87\00:16:48.20 This is a simple example of only fish and amphibians. 00:16:48.24\00:16:50.91 There are millions of other types of creatures 00:16:50.94\00:16:52.87 out there. 00:16:52.91\00:16:54.24 The missing links are, guess what? 00:16:54.28\00:16:59.21 Missing. 00:16:59.25\00:17:01.12 Some of the changes are huge too 00:17:01.15\00:17:03.18 but no fossil evidence that has... 00:17:03.22\00:17:06.29 shows that's ever happened. 00:17:06.32\00:17:08.66 The Bible teaches us that 00:17:08.69\00:17:10.03 God created all the creatures of the earth, 00:17:10.06\00:17:11.96 each one unique and different. 00:17:11.99\00:17:13.90 Yet again 00:17:13.93\00:17:15.80 this is why I believe, God is my Creator. 00:17:15.83\00:17:19.53 Hey, everyone. It's me, Rich Aguilera. 00:17:22.80\00:17:25.17 I'd love to see you at one of our live events. 00:17:25.21\00:17:27.94 To see where I'll be speaking, visit our website, 00:17:27.98\00:17:30.75 TheCreationCase.com. 00:17:30.78\00:17:32.91 During the flood, 00:17:39.39\00:17:40.72 the Bible tells us our planet was covered with water. 00:17:40.76\00:17:43.73 As the waters receded after the flood, 00:17:43.76\00:17:45.79 all this became a giant sea. 00:17:45.83\00:17:48.83 Eventually the sea drained and dried up 00:17:48.86\00:17:51.23 and left behind some pretty amazing landscapes 00:17:51.27\00:17:54.50 and a lot of fossils. 00:17:54.54\00:17:56.91 There's a place up ahead you just have to see. 00:17:56.94\00:17:59.41 One thing for sure, Utah has a lot of incredible landscapes. 00:18:02.51\00:18:06.61 Isn't this an amazing place? 00:18:10.65\00:18:12.69 We've got to stop and go down and check this out. 00:18:12.72\00:18:14.99 What an unusual looking place. 00:18:18.39\00:18:21.20 The rocks here have eroded in such a way 00:18:21.23\00:18:24.27 that many of them look like giant mushrooms. 00:18:24.30\00:18:29.74 These odd formations are called hoodoos. 00:18:29.77\00:18:32.97 Yes, that's a strange name. 00:18:33.01\00:18:35.01 No, I don't know 00:18:35.04\00:18:36.38 who's in charge of making up names. 00:18:36.41\00:18:37.75 Canyons are always a great place 00:18:42.18\00:18:44.25 to see the layers of the earth. 00:18:44.29\00:18:45.79 Hey, even here, we get to see layers of the earth. 00:18:48.89\00:18:52.59 The interesting thing about this location 00:18:55.86\00:18:58.00 is that the rock layers on the top are harder 00:18:58.03\00:19:00.94 than the rock layers on the bottom. 00:19:00.97\00:19:04.11 Oh, here is a great view. 00:19:04.14\00:19:05.47 As you can see, this bottom layer 00:19:12.81\00:19:15.68 has eroded much faster than this top layer. 00:19:15.72\00:19:18.72 You can see it everywhere, hard rock on the top, 00:19:18.75\00:19:21.86 soft rock on the bottom. 00:19:21.89\00:19:23.22 Just think, during the flood all this was underwater. 00:19:28.16\00:19:33.23 Sure looks pretty neat now. 00:19:33.27\00:19:37.31 Wow, this is such a cool place. 00:19:37.34\00:19:39.64 I think I'm gonna sketch this, 00:19:39.67\00:19:41.01 but I think I need to get a little higher. 00:19:41.04\00:19:43.65 I think I'm gonna climb one of these hoodoos 00:19:43.68\00:19:45.68 and sketch in my journal. 00:19:45.71\00:19:47.05 All right, we need to continue driving to Utah. 00:19:58.43\00:20:01.73 We're not too far away 00:20:01.76\00:20:03.10 from where we'll be able to dig for trilobites. 00:20:03.13\00:20:05.03 Come on. 00:20:05.07\00:20:06.40 Since the Bible teaches about a global flood, 00:20:19.15\00:20:21.38 it makes sense 00:20:21.42\00:20:22.75 to find marine fossils very practically everywhere. 00:20:22.78\00:20:25.35 Even in places like Michigan and Ohio, 00:20:25.39\00:20:27.59 which are very far away from the ocean, 00:20:27.62\00:20:29.76 we find fossils of marine animals 00:20:29.79\00:20:31.53 like whales, and sharks, and walruses. 00:20:31.56\00:20:34.76 Here in this part of Utah, 00:20:34.80\00:20:36.63 one of the most common marine fossils we find 00:20:36.67\00:20:38.97 are trilobites, 00:20:39.00\00:20:40.34 these little tiny creatures that are now extinct. 00:20:40.37\00:20:44.74 Well, we made it here to the trilobite dig site. 00:20:44.77\00:20:47.58 I got my bucket and I got my hammer. 00:20:47.61\00:20:49.51 We're going to see if we can dig up some trilobites. 00:20:49.54\00:20:51.48 Come on, let's go. 00:20:51.51\00:20:54.38 The stone here is shale. 00:20:54.42\00:20:56.65 So it's really easy to split open 00:20:56.69\00:20:58.35 and look for trilobites. 00:20:58.39\00:21:01.92 This looks like a good spot. 00:21:01.96\00:21:04.86 You know, sadly, extinction is quite common. 00:21:04.89\00:21:10.00 By looking at fossils 00:21:10.03\00:21:11.37 we can tell that many different types of creatures 00:21:11.40\00:21:13.54 have lived and died in the past. 00:21:13.57\00:21:15.47 They are now found buried in the ground 00:21:15.50\00:21:17.27 or in rocks like this. 00:21:17.31\00:21:19.47 This also fits the flood story because the Bible says that 00:21:19.51\00:21:22.24 all the land animals were wiped out, 00:21:22.28\00:21:24.91 except for the ones on the ark. 00:21:24.95\00:21:26.68 Fortunately God made each animal 00:21:30.45\00:21:32.82 with built-in variety in its DNA. 00:21:32.85\00:21:35.76 Still, sometimes creatures become extinct. 00:21:35.79\00:21:40.66 We also see that in the fossil records, 00:21:40.70\00:21:42.63 animals that don't exist anymore, all kinds, 00:21:42.66\00:21:45.27 birds, insects, mammals, and reptiles. 00:21:45.30\00:21:47.67 Even dinosaurs are just kinds of reptiles 00:21:51.67\00:21:54.01 that are now extinct. 00:21:54.04\00:21:57.31 Evolution has been teaching that over millions of years 00:21:57.35\00:22:00.05 one type of creature has been changing to another. 00:22:00.08\00:22:03.69 If these changes really happened, 00:22:03.72\00:22:05.35 we should clearly see it in the fossil record 00:22:05.39\00:22:07.82 but we don't. 00:22:07.86\00:22:09.96 The fossil record does not show one thing, 00:22:09.99\00:22:13.73 changing into the other. 00:22:13.76\00:22:17.63 Check it out, we found one. 00:22:17.67\00:22:19.00 It's amazing. 00:22:23.44\00:22:24.77 It's been buried here for over 4,000 years. 00:22:24.81\00:22:27.44 And you and I are the first ones to see it. 00:22:27.48\00:22:31.45 Trilobites are found 00:22:31.48\00:22:32.81 in one of the lowest layers called the cambium layer. 00:22:32.85\00:22:36.28 Think I'm gonna dig here. 00:22:36.32\00:22:39.99 Evolution teaches that 00:22:40.02\00:22:41.36 since they're found in the lowest layers, 00:22:41.39\00:22:43.06 they were some of the first and simplest ones to evolve. 00:22:43.09\00:22:48.26 The problem is, they're not simple at all. 00:22:48.30\00:22:50.53 They're actually highly complex little creatures. 00:22:50.57\00:22:54.80 They have compound eyes and hundreds of lenses, 00:22:54.84\00:22:57.84 antennas, complex organs, gills and several sets of limbs. 00:22:57.87\00:23:02.31 Whoo, this is a good spot, found a big one. 00:23:05.55\00:23:10.09 Now we need to carefully chip away the rock around it. 00:23:10.12\00:23:13.42 Evolution requires 00:23:19.63\00:23:21.10 that life had to start with something simple. 00:23:21.13\00:23:24.20 But this is not it. 00:23:24.23\00:23:26.43 These are simply. some of the first creatures 00:23:26.47\00:23:28.77 that got buried alive at the time of the flood. 00:23:28.80\00:23:32.61 You know what? 00:23:32.64\00:23:33.98 I'm gonna write that in my journal. 00:23:34.01\00:23:35.34 Trilobites were some of the first creatures 00:23:40.18\00:23:42.62 buried during the flood. 00:23:42.65\00:23:46.39 Let's keep looking for more trilobites. 00:23:46.42\00:23:48.29 This is a lot of fun. 00:23:48.32\00:23:51.36 You know, every once in a while, 00:23:51.39\00:23:53.33 evolutionists come forward with a new fossil, 00:23:53.36\00:23:56.36 claiming that it's proof of evolution. 00:23:56.40\00:23:58.53 They claim that the fossil is an in-between form of life, 00:23:58.57\00:24:02.07 a transitional species between one creature and another. 00:24:02.10\00:24:06.37 Not long ago scientists discovered a fossil of the fish 00:24:06.41\00:24:09.84 call the coelacanth. 00:24:09.88\00:24:12.35 Secular scientists used to think. 00:24:12.38\00:24:14.82 They became extinct about 60 million years ago, 00:24:14.85\00:24:17.39 and we're never seen again in the higher layers. 00:24:17.42\00:24:19.35 Since the coelacanth was never seen again 00:24:22.56\00:24:24.63 in the fossil record, 00:24:24.66\00:24:25.99 they assumed that it must have evolved 00:24:26.03\00:24:27.80 into animals with four legs. 00:24:27.83\00:24:30.43 Actually, I have a picture of a coelacanth fossil here 00:24:30.47\00:24:33.30 on my phone. 00:24:33.34\00:24:34.67 Well, guess what? 00:24:37.37\00:24:38.71 They never became extinct after all. 00:24:38.74\00:24:41.31 Living coelacanths are now photographed all the time, 00:24:41.34\00:24:44.75 here's one. 00:24:44.78\00:24:46.98 Just because they didn't find the coelacanth in the fossils 00:24:47.02\00:24:49.58 for 60 million evolution years, 00:24:49.62\00:24:51.55 it doesn't mean they ever evolved. 00:24:51.59\00:24:54.09 They never became extinct and they never evolved. 00:24:54.12\00:24:57.23 They're still the same. 00:24:57.26\00:25:00.13 Remember, in the beginning, God created the animal kinds. 00:25:00.16\00:25:04.43 It's that simple. 00:25:04.47\00:25:05.80 That was fun. 00:25:16.11\00:25:17.75 It's truly amazing uncovering things 00:25:17.78\00:25:20.22 that have been buried since the flood, 00:25:20.25\00:25:23.45 things that no other human life has ever seen before. 00:25:23.49\00:25:28.06 It's incredible to think just 00:25:28.09\00:25:29.42 how much stuff is buried all over our planet. 00:25:29.46\00:25:33.26 We've discovered a lot of things 00:25:33.29\00:25:34.73 but in reality, it's a mystery 00:25:34.76\00:25:37.67 just how much stuff is buried and fossilized 00:25:37.70\00:25:41.24 right under our feet. 00:25:41.27\00:25:43.44 Well, I need to finish up my report 00:25:43.47\00:25:45.74 and send it to HQ. 00:25:45.77\00:25:47.44 Remember, if you want to read it, 00:25:47.48\00:25:49.18 just go to our website. 00:25:49.21\00:25:52.81 The fossils we find 00:25:52.85\00:25:54.22 don't prove creatures ever changed 00:25:54.25\00:25:56.05 from one type of creature to another. 00:25:56.08\00:25:58.22 Sometimes 00:25:58.25\00:25:59.59 creatures that supposedly evolved into other creatures 00:25:59.62\00:26:02.32 and became extinct 00:26:02.36\00:26:03.69 are still found alive unchanged. 00:26:03.73\00:26:07.50 There's more proof 00:26:07.53\00:26:09.36 of these in-between transitional fossils 00:26:09.40\00:26:12.17 have never been found. 00:26:12.20\00:26:16.27 Trilobites were not simple creatures. 00:26:16.30\00:26:18.71 They were highly complex, and they were created by God. 00:26:18.74\00:26:22.48 You know, there are a lot of mysteries in this world. 00:26:28.05\00:26:31.32 Many things we will never understand. 00:26:31.35\00:26:34.29 God is one of them. 00:26:34.32\00:26:36.19 There's no way we can grasp who He is. 00:26:36.22\00:26:40.43 To be able to create by just speaking, 00:26:40.46\00:26:43.77 to be someone 00:26:43.80\00:26:45.13 that has no beginning and no end. 00:26:45.17\00:26:48.40 To have so much love for us 00:26:48.44\00:26:50.47 that He would send His precious Son to die 00:26:50.51\00:26:53.64 so that we could be saved. 00:26:53.68\00:26:55.98 Wow. 00:26:56.01\00:26:57.35 Still, we should do everything we can to look for clues, 00:26:57.38\00:27:01.78 so that we can understand our Creator better and better. 00:27:01.82\00:27:06.15 The more clues we find, 00:27:06.19\00:27:08.09 the more we'll understand Him. 00:27:08.12\00:27:10.86 Where do we find these clues? 00:27:10.89\00:27:13.40 The two best places are in the Bible, 00:27:13.43\00:27:16.26 the special book, 00:27:16.30\00:27:17.73 and right here in nature. 00:27:17.77\00:27:20.37 This is His own hand at work, creating. 00:27:20.40\00:27:26.27 I hope you will join me again for our next assignment. 00:27:26.31\00:27:29.61 Remember, God the Creator
