Let's go. 00:06:32.82\00:06:34.16 Help us investigate today. 00:06:37.63\00:06:41.10 Download and print your own free journal study guide 00:06:41.13\00:06:44.10 at TheCreationCase.com. 00:06:44.13\00:06:47.20 Giant sequoias 00:06:58.91\00:07:00.25 are the largest trees on the planet. 00:07:00.28\00:07:02.82 There's also the redwood trees that are not as massive, 00:07:02.85\00:07:06.02 but actually grow taller than the sequoias, 00:07:06.05\00:07:09.19 both grow here in California. 00:07:09.22\00:07:12.59 Sequoias only grow in high elevations, 00:07:12.63\00:07:15.80 usually between 4,000 and 7,000 feet above sea level. 00:07:15.83\00:07:21.14 The first time you walk up to one of these giants, 00:07:21.17\00:07:23.87 it's pretty impressive. 00:07:23.91\00:07:27.24 The tallest sequoias can reach almost 300 feet tall 00:07:27.28\00:07:31.28 and the tallest redwoods almost 400 feet tall. 00:07:31.31\00:07:34.55 Whoa! 00:07:34.58\00:07:35.92 Aren't these trees amazing? 00:07:41.06\00:07:43.26 They're huge. 00:07:43.29\00:07:46.76 So I know what you're thinking. 00:07:46.80\00:07:49.33 How old are these trees? 00:07:49.36\00:07:52.93 As you can imagine, 00:07:52.97\00:07:54.30 they are some of the oldest trees 00:07:54.34\00:07:56.04 on the planet. 00:07:56.07\00:07:57.87 Scientists here who study these trees have estimated 00:07:57.91\00:08:01.11 that the trees here are over 3,000 years old. 00:08:01.14\00:08:05.25 That means these trees were here 00:08:05.28\00:08:07.15 before the Declaration of Independence 00:08:07.18\00:08:09.25 was written, before the pilgrims landed, 00:08:09.28\00:08:11.89 even before Christopher Columbus 00:08:11.92\00:08:13.56 sailed across the Atlantic to the new world. 00:08:13.59\00:08:18.86 The amazing thing is that some of these trees 00:08:18.89\00:08:20.90 were already 1000 years old, when Jesus walked on the earth. 00:08:20.93\00:08:24.10 You know, as long as these trees are alive, 00:08:27.17\00:08:29.57 they keep on growing. 00:08:29.60\00:08:32.54 The interesting thing is that 00:08:32.57\00:08:34.34 scientists have searched all over 00:08:34.38\00:08:36.68 and they've never found one that died of old age. 00:08:36.71\00:08:39.85 They just keep living. 00:08:39.88\00:08:41.88 The oldest sequoia that we know about 00:08:47.79\00:08:49.42 is about 3,000 years old and it's still growing. 00:08:49.46\00:08:53.80 Whoa, check out this one. 00:08:53.83\00:08:56.30 I think, I'm gonna sketch this one. 00:08:56.33\00:08:59.57 You know, scientists say there's no reason to believe 00:08:59.60\00:09:02.44 they couldn't live another 3,000 years or more. 00:09:02.47\00:09:06.41 If that so, then why don't we find some really old trees, 00:09:06.44\00:09:10.71 or at least clues of old trees that lived a long time ago. 00:09:10.75\00:09:15.58 Calculations from the Bible tell us 00:09:15.62\00:09:17.82 that the flood was a few thousand years ago. 00:09:17.85\00:09:20.76 If that's true, 00:09:20.79\00:09:22.12 then we wouldn't find trees that are more than 00:09:22.16\00:09:23.76 a few thousand years old living today. 00:09:23.79\00:09:27.16 Even though scientists say 00:09:27.20\00:09:28.90 that these trees should be able to live 00:09:28.93\00:09:30.90 for even tens of thousands of years, 00:09:30.93\00:09:33.47 we don't find trees with nearly that amount of tree rings. 00:09:33.50\00:09:38.71 These are pretty old trees, 00:09:38.74\00:09:40.24 but they're not the oldest trees on the planet. 00:09:40.28\00:09:42.58 That honor goes to the bristlecone pine. 00:09:42.61\00:09:44.88 It's getting late and the place 00:09:49.25\00:09:51.12 that we're going to go check out 00:09:51.15\00:09:52.49 bristlecone pine trees is in Colorado. 00:09:52.52\00:09:55.16 We got to get back to the jeep. Come on. 00:09:55.19\00:09:56.93 Our trip from California has taken us deep 00:10:08.07\00:10:10.74 into the Rocky Mountain Range in Colorado. 00:10:10.77\00:10:13.68 Well, we are at 11,500 feet, we're getting close. 00:10:23.35\00:10:26.62 Come on. 00:10:26.65\00:10:29.19 We're gonna have to hike in little ways 00:10:29.22\00:10:31.23 to get to the place 00:10:31.26\00:10:32.59 where the bristlecone pines are growing. 00:10:32.63\00:10:36.06 It's amazing that these trees only grow 00:10:36.10\00:10:38.97 at such high elevations like this 00:10:39.00\00:10:40.80 and in such harsh conditions. 00:10:40.84\00:10:43.71 Even in the middle of the summer, 00:10:43.74\00:10:45.21 there's still snow on the ground up here. 00:10:45.24\00:10:49.71 Hey, here's a couple of bristlecone pine trees. 00:10:49.74\00:10:52.95 They're pretty cool looking. 00:10:52.98\00:10:54.58 I'm kind of out of breath. 00:10:54.62\00:10:56.69 I think, I'm gonna take a break. 00:10:56.72\00:10:59.59 Notice the twisting trunks of these trees, 00:10:59.62\00:11:01.72 they twist like that. 00:11:01.76\00:11:03.09 And that actually gives them a stronger foundation. 00:11:03.12\00:11:06.76 The trees here in this grove are only about 1,600 years old. 00:11:06.80\00:11:10.63 That sounds like a lot, 00:11:10.67\00:11:12.00 but it's actually not very old compared to the oldest ones 00:11:12.03\00:11:14.40 that we know of which are about 4,500 years old. 00:11:14.44\00:11:18.67 Just like the sequoias, 00:11:18.71\00:11:20.34 scientists believe that these trees 00:11:20.38\00:11:22.18 can also keep growing for thousands of more years. 00:11:22.21\00:11:27.35 If these trees can grow for thousands and thousands 00:11:27.38\00:11:29.68 of years, why then are the oldest ones 00:11:29.72\00:11:31.89 we find only 4,500 years old? 00:11:31.92\00:11:35.02 So why don't we find older dead ones 00:11:35.06\00:11:37.33 that used to live before them? 00:11:37.36\00:11:40.06 I'm gonna write this in my journal. 00:11:40.10\00:11:42.76 There are scientists that claim some trees are much older. 00:11:42.80\00:11:46.10 But I've never heard of trees 00:11:46.13\00:11:47.47 found with tens of thousands of rings. 00:11:47.50\00:11:52.44 Bristlecone pines seem to grow forever, 00:11:52.47\00:11:55.54 but aren't found more than a few thousand years old. 00:11:55.58\00:12:00.92 It's like plant life suddenly started on this planet 00:12:00.95\00:12:04.32 about 4,500 years ago. 00:12:04.35\00:12:08.02 Hmm, that's only a few thousand years ago. 00:12:08.06\00:12:11.46 That's around the time of the flood. 00:12:11.49\00:12:14.93 Interesting. 00:12:14.96\00:12:16.30 Wow! 00:12:20.37\00:12:22.24 Look at all these bristlecone pine trees. 00:12:22.27\00:12:25.71 Beautiful, amazing. 00:12:25.74\00:12:29.18 Have you ever touched one of these pine trees 00:12:33.28\00:12:36.12 and gotten that sticky stuff all over your hands. 00:12:36.15\00:12:38.79 That stuff is called resin, 00:12:38.82\00:12:40.46 and sometimes it drips out of the tree and hardens. 00:12:40.49\00:12:44.53 Sometimes a bug lands in that resin 00:12:44.56\00:12:46.93 and gets stuck in there and it dies. 00:12:46.96\00:12:49.46 Once the resin is dried and hardens, it's called amber. 00:12:49.50\00:12:52.73 Check it out. I got a piece here with me. 00:12:52.77\00:12:54.77 And it even has a little insect trapped inside of it. 00:12:54.80\00:12:59.14 According to the theory of evolution, 00:12:59.17\00:13:01.01 they say some of these insects have been buried 00:13:01.04\00:13:03.78 inside amber for 100 million years. 00:13:03.81\00:13:08.05 There's a problem though, 00:13:08.08\00:13:09.68 the insects and creatures that we find inside of amber 00:13:09.72\00:13:12.72 are unchanged compared to the way we see them today. 00:13:12.75\00:13:16.22 After 100 million years, it doesn't look like anything 00:13:16.26\00:13:19.16 has changed with these bugs and after all, 00:13:19.19\00:13:21.50 reptiles supposedly changed into mammals 00:13:21.53\00:13:24.17 in 100 million years but nothing changed here. 00:13:24.20\00:13:28.50 Take your typical ant, 00:13:28.54\00:13:30.61 we find them in amber all the time 00:13:30.64\00:13:32.47 but after 100 million years they still haven't changed. 00:13:32.51\00:13:35.98 Ants are still ants. 00:13:36.01\00:13:40.25 Think about it. 00:13:40.28\00:13:41.65 We're probably talking about 500 million generations of ants 00:13:41.68\00:13:46.65 and no change. 00:13:46.69\00:13:48.89 Maybe 100 million years didn't go by. 00:13:48.92\00:13:52.96 Maybe God created ants only a few thousand years ago 00:13:52.99\00:13:56.63 and they're still ants today. 00:13:56.67\00:13:58.47 One of the biggest challenges for evolution 00:14:03.07\00:14:06.07 is the lack of transitional species. 00:14:06.11\00:14:11.51 If evolution were true, 00:14:11.55\00:14:13.42 there would be a huge trail of evidence 00:14:13.45\00:14:15.75 showing how and when all these changes happened. 00:14:15.78\00:14:19.25 But evidence of those changes have not been found. 00:14:19.29\00:14:22.99 The same goes for plants and trees, 00:14:23.02\00:14:25.09 the fossil record still doesn't show 00:14:25.13\00:14:27.13 how they could've evolved. 00:14:27.16\00:14:29.73 They just appeared all of the sudden, 00:14:29.76\00:14:32.17 fully formed, highly complex and with huge varieties. 00:14:32.20\00:14:36.10 As we dig around for evidence in botany, 00:14:40.38\00:14:42.58 we need to go visit a place 00:14:42.61\00:14:44.18 with high concentration of biomass, 00:14:44.21\00:14:46.41 that's living things. 00:14:46.45\00:14:47.95 We need to go to a rainforest. 00:14:47.98\00:14:51.35 We need to go 00:14:55.82\00:14:57.16 to one of the only temperate rainforest 00:14:57.19\00:14:58.66 in the lower 48 states. 00:14:58.69\00:15:00.30 So we better get going. Come on. 00:15:00.33\00:15:01.83 Hi, everyone, it's Doc M here, HQ. 00:15:05.67\00:15:09.60 Today here, at HQ we've several investigations going on. 00:15:09.64\00:15:13.38 It's crazy! 00:15:13.41\00:15:14.88 One of them has to do with our world's population. 00:15:14.91\00:15:17.78 You know, every ten years, United States counts 00:15:17.81\00:15:20.85 how many people are living here. 00:15:20.88\00:15:22.75 It's called census. 00:15:22.78\00:15:25.19 Remember 00:15:25.22\00:15:26.55 when Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary had to go back 00:15:26.59\00:15:31.03 to Bethlehem on little donkey, 00:15:31.06\00:15:33.80 so they could be counted in the census. 00:15:33.83\00:15:36.43 The interesting thing about a census is that 00:15:36.46\00:15:38.57 they show us the amount of people 00:15:38.60\00:15:40.70 on the planet is growing. 00:15:40.74\00:15:43.81 Everyday there's more and more people in the world, 00:15:43.84\00:15:47.11 all around the world, more and more. 00:15:47.14\00:15:50.15 Here's how it looks like on paper. 00:15:50.18\00:15:54.28 This is the years that have gone by. 00:15:54.32\00:15:57.02 This is today and this is 2000 and we have 1600 and 1100, 00:15:57.05\00:16:02.46 all the way back to the time when Jesus was born. 00:16:02.49\00:16:05.79 Censuses had been going on since before Jesus, 00:16:05.83\00:16:08.26 so we have a pretty good idea 00:16:08.30\00:16:09.63 of how many people were around back then. 00:16:09.66\00:16:12.13 This line here on the side, 00:16:12.17\00:16:13.84 shows how many billion people there are on earth. 00:16:13.87\00:16:17.77 It goes all the way up to seven billion 00:16:17.81\00:16:20.48 and that's about where we are today. 00:16:20.51\00:16:23.35 So I'm gonna take my marker, so let's put a dot. 00:16:23.38\00:16:27.45 Today 2000, 00:16:27.48\00:16:33.52 how about 1800? 00:16:33.56\00:16:35.82 All the way down to one billion. 00:16:35.86\00:16:40.40 We can easily project as far back 00:16:40.43\00:16:42.26 as when Jesus was born 00:16:42.30\00:16:43.63 when there was around 200 million people. 00:16:43.67\00:16:48.00 Now, here is the fun part. 00:16:48.04\00:16:49.50 Maybe you've already done this in math class 00:16:49.54\00:16:51.27 and you're great mathematician, 00:16:51.31\00:16:53.38 but we can draw a line between the dots 00:16:53.41\00:16:55.58 to show how the population 00:16:55.61\00:16:56.95 has increased over the last 2,000 years. 00:16:56.98\00:16:59.51 Starting with Jesus, we would just draw 00:16:59.55\00:17:01.35 this line up through our dots and we could see the growth. 00:17:01.38\00:17:06.49 That's pretty cool, huh? 00:17:06.52\00:17:08.19 Here's the great part though, even if we don't have a census 00:17:08.22\00:17:12.26 from too far before Jesus was born, 00:17:12.29\00:17:15.00 we can follow this line backwards down to zero people 00:17:15.03\00:17:18.97 by just doing a little math. 00:17:19.00\00:17:21.94 By using some math calculations and known growth rates, 00:17:21.97\00:17:25.07 the lines run down to only a few people. 00:17:25.11\00:17:28.98 Let's do it. Here we go. 00:17:29.01\00:17:30.88 Jesus going back, going back, going back, going back, 00:17:30.91\00:17:34.68 going back, going back 00:17:34.72\00:17:37.09 all the way to the flood 00:17:37.12\00:17:38.62 when there were only eight people 00:17:38.65\00:17:40.29 that made it on the ark alive. 00:17:40.32\00:17:42.89 You remember the story of Noah? 00:17:42.92\00:17:45.53 Yeah! That's a great story. 00:17:45.56\00:17:47.76 Now, wait a second. 00:17:47.80\00:17:49.50 Evolution teaches that people had been around 00:17:49.53\00:17:51.63 for way longer than 5,000 years. 00:17:51.67\00:17:55.54 The problem is that the curve we just made shows 00:17:55.57\00:17:58.67 it's not possible that people around a million years ago. 00:17:58.71\00:18:02.11 If people were around that long ago, you know, 00:18:02.14\00:18:04.51 how many people would be on our planet by now, 00:18:04.55\00:18:06.85 if we follow this curve. 00:18:06.88\00:18:09.45 Hey, here's how many, 00:18:09.48\00:18:10.85 one billion, trillion, killion, zillion, nillion. 00:18:10.89\00:18:14.92 I know that's a big number. 00:18:14.96\00:18:17.29 I don't even know how to say it. 00:18:17.33\00:18:19.53 It's one with 2,000 zeros behind it. 00:18:19.56\00:18:24.33 Let's try, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 00:18:24.37\00:18:28.14 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13... 00:18:28.17\00:18:31.34 Oh, I'm already tired 00:18:31.37\00:18:33.04 and we have a lot of zeros to go. 00:18:33.07\00:18:36.08 Clearly, 00:18:36.11\00:18:37.55 there are not that many people on our planet earth right now. 00:18:37.58\00:18:43.18 Yeah, 00:18:43.22\00:18:44.55 estimates like these will never give us fully accurate numbers. 00:18:44.59\00:18:47.96 But it sure seems strange that humans would be around 00:18:47.99\00:18:50.56 for hundreds of thousands of years. 00:18:50.59\00:18:52.86 Then suddenly, only a few thousand years ago, 00:18:52.89\00:18:55.30 they started building cities and developing agriculture. 00:18:55.33\00:18:59.87 Yet again, 00:18:59.90\00:19:01.50 this is why I believe God is my creator. 00:19:01.54\00:19:05.54 Hey, everyone. It's me, Rich Aguilera. 00:19:09.41\00:19:11.65 I'd love to see you at one of our live events. 00:19:11.68\00:19:14.28 To see where I'll be speaking, 00:19:14.32\00:19:16.02 visit our website TheCreationCase.com. 00:19:16.05\00:19:20.39 Oh, hi. 00:19:27.73\00:19:29.23 No, this isn't a rainforest. 00:19:29.26\00:19:31.03 I decided to stop and take a break, 00:19:31.07\00:19:32.63 and check out this grass. 00:19:32.67\00:19:34.30 I think, the nicest grasses are found on a golf course. 00:19:38.47\00:19:41.71 I mean, look at this stuff. 00:19:41.74\00:19:43.08 I could take a nap in it. 00:19:43.11\00:19:45.98 Everyone loves a nice green grassy yard. 00:19:46.01\00:19:49.25 Do you know where it came from? 00:19:49.28\00:19:51.29 The Bible tells us that grass was created on day three. 00:19:51.32\00:19:55.42 On the other hand, according to evolution, 00:19:55.46\00:19:58.13 grass evolved about 55 million years ago, 00:19:58.16\00:20:01.13 but recently we've discovered dinosaur droppings, 00:20:01.16\00:20:03.83 showing that dinosaurs ate grass. 00:20:03.87\00:20:07.94 That sounds logical, 00:20:07.97\00:20:09.64 except evolutionary theory used to think, 00:20:09.67\00:20:11.77 grass appeared after dinosaurs lived. 00:20:11.81\00:20:17.61 Scientists have actually found 00:20:17.65\00:20:19.31 many different varieties of grass in dinosaur droppings. 00:20:19.35\00:20:22.38 So grass and dinosaurs 00:20:22.42\00:20:23.95 definitely existed at the same time. 00:20:23.99\00:20:26.79 Yeah, that's definitely a problem, 00:20:26.82\00:20:29.06 dinosaurs eating grass 00:20:29.09\00:20:30.53 when grass supposedly hasn't evolved yet. 00:20:30.56\00:20:35.70 So now what? 00:20:35.73\00:20:37.27 Well, the evolutionary theory had no choice 00:20:37.30\00:20:40.24 but to change their story 00:20:40.27\00:20:41.87 and believe that grass evolved earlier. 00:20:41.90\00:20:46.21 I'm glad they admitted their mistake, 00:20:46.24\00:20:48.48 but it sure must be frustrating to believe in something 00:20:48.51\00:20:51.21 that is constantly changing. 00:20:51.25\00:20:53.01 I'm glad the Bible doesn't have to change its story 00:20:57.29\00:20:59.59 all the time to match what we see in nature. 00:20:59.62\00:21:02.79 That's because God created science and nature. 00:21:02.82\00:21:06.16 Welcome to one of the only temperate rainforest 00:21:22.04\00:21:24.61 in all the lower 48 states. 00:21:24.65\00:21:26.65 Come on, let's check this out. 00:21:26.68\00:21:30.09 A temperate rainforest is one of the places on earth 00:21:30.12\00:21:33.46 with the highest concentration of biomass. 00:21:33.49\00:21:36.96 That's the total amount of living things in one place. 00:21:36.99\00:21:40.80 A temperate rainforest is also a place 00:21:40.83\00:21:43.00 that gets a lot of rainfall, 00:21:43.03\00:21:45.00 but the weather remains pretty cool most of the year. 00:21:45.03\00:21:47.50 Check out all these trees and plants here 00:21:50.87\00:21:53.48 and look at that one over there. 00:21:53.51\00:21:54.91 It's growing on top of a tree, not in the ground. 00:21:54.94\00:21:59.28 Mosses, ferns, lichen, 00:21:59.31\00:22:01.68 these plants are called epiphytes, 00:22:01.72\00:22:03.59 plants that grow on top of other plants. 00:22:03.62\00:22:07.52 It's interesting to see, 00:22:07.56\00:22:08.89 two plants like this living together. 00:22:08.92\00:22:11.36 It reminds me of symbiotic relationships 00:22:11.39\00:22:13.70 we find in nature. 00:22:13.73\00:22:15.46 That's when two organisms 00:22:15.50\00:22:16.87 rely on each other for survival. 00:22:16.90\00:22:20.00 For example, flowers make nectar 00:22:20.04\00:22:22.90 that attracts bees. 00:22:22.94\00:22:24.77 Both the flower and the bee have the perfect shape, 00:22:24.81\00:22:28.08 so that the bee can reach the nectar, 00:22:28.11\00:22:30.15 while at the same time a bunch of pollen 00:22:30.18\00:22:32.41 is rubbed on to the bee's body. 00:22:32.45\00:22:35.68 Actually, I have a close up picture of a bee, 00:22:35.72\00:22:38.52 here on my phone. 00:22:38.55\00:22:40.56 While this bumblebee is collecting nectar 00:22:40.59\00:22:42.69 to make their own special honey, 00:22:42.72\00:22:44.59 it's also carrying around a bunch of pollen. 00:22:44.63\00:22:47.96 The bee gets the nectar that it needs to make honey, 00:22:48.00\00:22:51.27 and the flower gets its pollen moved around. 00:22:51.30\00:22:53.44 So it can keep on growing. 00:22:53.47\00:22:54.90 They work together and they were designed 00:22:54.94\00:22:56.50 that way to survive. 00:22:56.54\00:23:00.04 This causes a problem for evolution. 00:23:00.08\00:23:02.61 How would these two organisms evolve? 00:23:02.64\00:23:05.11 If the bee doesn't have a certain shape, 00:23:05.15\00:23:06.88 it can't get to the nectar, 00:23:06.92\00:23:08.38 which means it can't distribute the pollen for the flower. 00:23:08.42\00:23:12.85 If the bee and the flower aren't exactly 00:23:12.89\00:23:15.12 as they are right now, 00:23:15.16\00:23:16.59 neither would survive very well. 00:23:16.62\00:23:19.09 Don't you find it hard to believe that chance luck 00:23:19.13\00:23:22.16 that symbiotic relationships would have evolved perfectly, 00:23:22.20\00:23:25.30 in order for each to survive? 00:23:25.33\00:23:29.94 I find it a little hard to believe 00:23:29.97\00:23:32.21 that all this would happen by itself, so perfectly. 00:23:32.24\00:23:35.58 Plants and rock layers 00:23:41.52\00:23:42.85 actually create a problem for evolution. 00:23:42.88\00:23:45.22 You see sometimes plants are fossilized in rock layers. 00:23:45.25\00:23:48.56 I have a sample here that you can see. 00:23:48.59\00:23:51.79 This is a fossilized fern, 00:23:51.83\00:23:54.16 you can easily tell it was buried alive 00:23:54.20\00:23:56.46 because there is no sign of decay or rotting, 00:23:56.50\00:23:59.40 as you would see on the forest floor. 00:23:59.43\00:24:04.37 Look at this, 00:24:04.41\00:24:06.31 the ground here is actually soft and squishy 00:24:06.34\00:24:09.04 because all the leaves and stuff 00:24:09.08\00:24:10.81 rots and decomposes here. 00:24:10.85\00:24:12.45 Check this out. 00:24:12.48\00:24:15.18 The only way to preserve a leaf before it rots, 00:24:15.22\00:24:18.62 is for it to be quickly buried by dirt and mud. 00:24:18.65\00:24:24.33 How would nature move so much dirt and mud around? 00:24:24.36\00:24:27.96 A flood? 00:24:28.00\00:24:29.33 Hey, do you remember how earlier we were talking 00:24:29.36\00:24:32.87 about how ants are found inside of amber? 00:24:32.90\00:24:35.50 This is the same thing. 00:24:35.54\00:24:38.31 Look, here's another kind of fern. 00:24:38.34\00:24:41.08 I was told my fossil fern is 300 million years old. 00:24:41.11\00:24:45.61 But look, ferns are still ferns today. 00:24:45.65\00:24:48.88 It doesn't look like they've evolved. 00:24:48.92\00:24:51.25 I believe my fossil fern was just quickly buried 00:24:51.29\00:24:54.82 at the time of the flood. 00:24:54.86\00:24:58.39 I'm gonna write that down in my journal. 00:24:58.43\00:25:00.66 What the fossil record actually shows 00:25:04.43\00:25:06.50 is that plants and trees 00:25:06.53\00:25:07.94 appear all of a sudden fully formed, 00:25:07.97\00:25:10.27 fully functional and highly complex. 00:25:10.31\00:25:14.61 Well preserved plant fossils all over the world show us 00:25:14.64\00:25:17.71 they were all buried quickly by water. 00:25:17.75\00:25:21.92 It sure looks like the evidence 00:25:21.95\00:25:23.28 we find in botany does not support 00:25:23.32\00:25:25.39 the idea of evolution. 00:25:25.42\00:25:27.96 The Bible says that on the third day of creation, 00:25:27.99\00:25:30.63 God created the plants, 00:25:30.66\00:25:32.63 and the trees, and many varieties. 00:25:32.66\00:25:34.90 Wow! 00:25:41.50\00:25:42.84 I'm still amazed at how big those trees are. 00:25:42.87\00:25:45.54 If you're a bird that is afraid of heights, 00:25:45.57\00:25:47.58 you'll definitely want to find a different tree to nest in. 00:25:47.61\00:25:51.31 You know, I never thought 00:25:51.35\00:25:52.68 how trees and plants could provide 00:25:52.71\00:25:54.45 so much evidence about when God created the world. 00:25:54.48\00:25:57.75 I'm glad that God left us a bunch of clues, 00:25:57.79\00:26:00.66 to help us understand about the past. 00:26:00.69\00:26:03.89 Well, I need to finish up my report and send it to HQ. 00:26:03.93\00:26:07.23 And remember, if you want to read it, 00:26:07.26\00:26:09.26 just go to our website. 00:26:09.30\00:26:13.34 The Bible tells us after the flood, 00:26:13.37\00:26:15.74 trees and plants started growing again. 00:26:15.77\00:26:19.54 The fossil record shows, 00:26:19.57\00:26:21.38 plants appeared all of a sudden, 00:26:21.41\00:26:23.21 fully formed. 00:26:23.24\00:26:25.61 Bristlecone pines seem to be able to live very long lives. 00:26:25.65\00:26:29.82 But we don't find plants that are so old, 00:26:29.85\00:26:32.59 that they don't fit with the biblical account. 00:26:32.62\00:26:35.99 Fossilized plants all over the world show us, 00:26:36.02\00:26:39.16 they were quickly buried by water. 00:26:39.19\00:26:42.66 I'm amazed that some of these trees 00:26:42.70\00:26:44.97 out there seem to live forever. 00:26:45.00\00:26:47.67 You know, in the beginning, when God created humans, 00:26:47.70\00:26:50.57 He made them perfect. 00:26:50.61\00:26:52.37 He breathed life into us, so that we could live forever. 00:26:52.41\00:26:56.75 It's like his breath equals life. 00:26:56.78\00:27:00.32 Unfortunately, sin mess things up 00:27:00.35\00:27:03.02 and brought death to the world. 00:27:03.05\00:27:05.45 Without God, sin and death take over. 00:27:05.49\00:27:08.86 With God, we have a life full of peace and joy. 00:27:08.89\00:27:13.70 Choose to breathe in God every day. 00:27:13.73\00:27:16.56 The good news is that God wants to make us perfect again. 00:27:16.60\00:27:20.30 He wants us to go 00:27:20.34\00:27:21.67 and live with Him forever in heaven. 00:27:21.70\00:27:23.87 That's where I want to be. 00:27:23.91\00:27:25.77 I hope you'll join me again for our next assignment. 00:27:25.81\00:27:28.74 And remember, God the Creator loves what He creates, 00:27:28.78\00:27:33.11 especially you. 00:27:33.15\00:27:34.52 Good night. 00:27:34.55\00:27:35.88 Hold on! 00:27:45.99\00:27:47.33 Don't leave yet, we've got bloopers. 00:27:47.36\00:27:49.10 Stuck in there and it... 00:28:11.49\00:28:12.82 Dies. 00:28:12.85\00:28:14.19 And dies. It dies. 00:28:14.22\00:28:16.26 This isn't a rainforest, 00:28:16.29\00:28:18.16 there's a car coming and it's very nice. 00:28:18.19\00:28:21.26 I can't get it open. 00:28:21.30\00:28:22.80 Interesting... 00:28:22.83\00:28:24.17
