Hey kids, it's time for Sabbath School. Grab your Bibles and 00:00:01.36\00:00:03.23 let's go. 00:00:03.26\00:00:04.60 ¤ ¤ 00:00:04.63\00:00:07.27 Hello boys and girls, Welcome to Starting with Jesus, (Miss 00:00:31.63\00:00:34.20 Ruthie) where we want to encourage you to start 00:00:34.23\00:00:37.03 everything you do with Jesus. Now last week we had a story 00:00:37.07\00:00:43.04 about some things that were lost Do you remember? Today in our 00:00:43.07\00:00:49.08 Bible story we're going to learn about some people who were lost. 00:00:49.11\00:00:53.11 And don't forget to watch until the very end because you won't 00:00:53.15\00:01:00.16 want to miss Pastor Joe's story time. So before we get to that 00:01:00.19\00:01:05.96 let's join in some singing together. 00:01:05.99\00:01:08.86 ¤ ¤ 00:01:08.90\00:01:15.00 ¤ ¤ 00:02:15.36\00:02:20.50 ¤ ¤ 00:02:52.70\00:02:56.07 ¤ ¤ 00:03:37.01\00:03:40.88 Good morning boys and girls. And Happy Sabbath. My name is 00:03:40.92\00:03:43.35 Chaeli and I live in Michigan. But I'm going to tell you a 00:03:43.39\00:03:46.52 story about when I was a missionary for Jesus in Alabama. 00:03:46.55\00:03:49.72 I was going door to door selling books about health and about 00:03:49.76\00:03:53.70 healthy and about Jesus. One day it had been raining, so we were 00:03:53.73\00:03:57.17 in some apartment buildings. As I walked into this apartment 00:03:57.20\00:04:00.77 building I prayed in my head. I was like, Lord, I'm a little bit 00:04:00.80\00:04:04.67 discouraged right now. I want to find somebody who is interested 00:04:04.71\00:04:09.11 in you and who wants to find some of these books and have 00:04:09.14\00:04:11.91 them in their home. So as I walked in usually I would start 00:04:11.95\00:04:16.02 with the apartments on the top floor but for some reason I 00:04:16.05\00:04:19.32 started with the ones on the bottom. I knocked on the first 00:04:19.35\00:04:22.99 door and somebody inside yelled, Who is it? Now there's a lot of 00:04:23.02\00:04:28.16 people who did that so I got used to answering and I just 00:04:28.20\00:04:30.73 said. My name is Chaeli. So the lady came and she opened the 00:04:30.77\00:04:34.37 door a little bit but only about that much. I couldn't see her. 00:04:34.40\00:04:37.97 So I started to tell who I was and what I was doing and I 00:04:38.01\00:04:41.98 started to show her a book. And the first book I showed her is a 00:04:42.01\00:04:46.28 book called In Search of Peace. That's the same book as Steps to 00:04:46.31\00:04:49.68 Christ. And I started to tell her about it and I hadn't even 00:04:49.72\00:04:53.52 finished the first sentence when she interrupted me. She said, 00:04:53.56\00:04:57.03 Not that one; I want the one that says Jesus. I was a little 00:04:57.06\00:05:01.93 surprised because not many people tell me that. But quickly 00:05:01.96\00:05:05.93 in my mind I realized that I had the book she was looking for. 00:05:05.97\00:05:08.70 So I told you, You know I have just the book you're looking for 00:05:08.74\00:05:11.51 And I pulled out the book, They Call Him Jesus, the book Desire 00:05:11.54\00:05:15.64 of Ages. Now if you see this book and you only see one word, 00:05:15.68\00:05:19.61 it's the word Jesus because it's in big bold letters. So I pulled 00:05:19.65\00:05:24.29 it out and I showed her and she immediately opened the door all 00:05:24.32\00:05:27.66 the way and she said, Yes that's exactly the one I was looking 00:05:27.69\00:05:31.36 for. So I told her more about it and she started to tell me. 00:05:31.39\00:05:35.73 She's like, You know what? Just a couple minutes ago I was 00:05:35.76\00:05:39.33 sitting on my couch and I was watching my TV but it started 00:05:39.37\00:05:43.14 getting really fuzzy and I couldn't hear what they were 00:05:43.17\00:05:45.17 talking about. So I turned it off. And I laid down on the 00:05:45.21\00:05:49.24 couch and I was just thinking about how my daughter had a book 00:05:49.28\00:05:52.21 just like that. She bought it from someone just a few days ago 00:05:52.25\00:05:54.78 They were just like you. They had a bag with books and I was 00:05:54.82\00:05:59.02 wishing that I could have that book and be reading it right now 00:05:59.05\00:06:01.72 and then you knocked on my door and you have this book. She was 00:06:01.76\00:06:06.19 super excited to be able to receive that book. And as she 00:06:06.23\00:06:08.90 turned around to go inside and get some money, she looked back 00:06:08.93\00:06:12.93 at me and said, You know what? This is an answer to prayer. God 00:06:12.97\00:06:16.04 did this. When she came back we started talking and I was able 00:06:16.07\00:06:20.38 to share with her how I had prayed too that the Lord would 00:06:20.41\00:06:23.71 help me find someone who was interested in the books and in 00:06:23.75\00:06:25.88 him. We were both able to share how it was an answer to prayer 00:06:25.91\00:06:29.08 to both of us. And it just reminded me that God always 00:06:29.12\00:06:32.75 answers our prayers. You know this reminds me of a verse in 00:06:32.79\00:06:35.32 the Bible. It's found in Jeremiah chapter 33 verse 3: 00:06:35.36\00:06:38.99 It says: Call to me and I will answer you and show you great 00:06:39.03\00:06:43.23 and mighty things which you do not know. 00:06:43.26\00:06:45.43 Never forget that God always answers prayers. 00:06:45.47\00:06:49.94 ¤ ¤ 00:06:49.97\00:06:55.61 Hi everyone and welcome back for another Bible adventure. 00:06:55.64\00:07:00.02 I (Miss Michelle) want to play a little game with you guys. 00:07:00.05\00:07:02.42 Are you ready? When I say a word I want you to say out loud the 00:07:02.45\00:07:08.82 word that first jumps into your brain. Are you ready? Here we go 00:07:08.86\00:07:12.79 Lost. Interesting maybe some of you said the words puppy dog. 00:07:12.83\00:07:22.14 Or a kitten. Or maybe you said the name of a store where you've 00:07:22.17\00:07:26.11 gotten lost in before. Or maybe you thought of a boat being lost 00:07:26.14\00:07:30.85 at sea. Or maybe you thought about something that you've lost 00:07:30.88\00:07:35.85 like keys for your car or something like that. Or a toy 00:07:35.88\00:07:38.72 that you really like. Well today's story is about being 00:07:38.75\00:07:44.13 lost. Let's get started. But before we do let's go and ask 00:07:44.16\00:07:47.40 God to be with us. 00:07:47.43\00:07:48.76 Dear heavenly Father, thank you so much for loving us and for 00:07:48.80\00:07:52.60 saving us and for helping us even when we feel a little bit 00:07:52.63\00:07:57.24 lost. Please bless our time together. Send your Holy Spirit 00:07:57.27\00:08:00.01 to be with us. In your name we pray. Amen. 00:08:00.04\00:08:02.38 Well when Jesus was on earth His stories, what we call parables, 00:08:02.41\00:08:08.58 showed us that we're lost. We're just like sheep that are lost 00:08:08.62\00:08:13.89 without a shepherd and we're lost without Him. In fact, he 00:08:13.92\00:08:19.73 told some stories that we reviewed last week and one of 00:08:19.76\00:08:23.47 them was about a sheep. Do you remember that story about the 00:08:23.50\00:08:28.47 100 sheep but he only got to 99 because one was lost. You see 00:08:28.50\00:08:34.58 this kind of lost sheep represents people who know that 00:08:34.61\00:08:37.51 their lost. This sheep knew that it wasn't where it was supposed 00:08:37.55\00:08:40.75 to be. It was calling for help. But it needed help and it knew 00:08:40.78\00:08:44.65 that. And that's representative of the sheep story of when the 00:08:44.69\00:08:49.42 sheep was lost. Do you remember the other story that we talked 00:08:49.46\00:08:51.79 about when something was lost? That's right, the lost coin. 00:08:51.83\00:08:56.77 And the widow was looking all over her house trying to find 00:08:56.80\00:09:00.60 the coin. This coin represents people who don't even know that 00:09:00.64\00:09:04.37 they're lost. Maybe they haven't even heard about Jesus before. 00:09:04.41\00:09:07.94 But they also need Jesus to save them. They don't even know how 00:09:07.98\00:09:12.95 important they are to Jesus. But everyone is so important to 00:09:12.98\00:09:17.59 Jesus. God loves everybody and we're all sinners and He still 00:09:17.62\00:09:23.22 loves us. We all mess up don't we? Today's story is found in 00:09:23.26\00:09:28.10 Luke chapter 15, verse seven is where we're going to start. 00:09:28.13\00:09:32.10 Luke 15 verse seven. Now I've been practicing for a long time 00:09:32.13\00:09:37.37 to find books in the Bible but if you need a little extra time 00:09:37.41\00:09:40.48 to find the book, make sure you press pause if you're watching 00:09:40.51\00:09:44.45 on You Tube or if you're watching on our website. I don't 00:09:44.48\00:09:48.52 know, some TVs even now you can push pause on them so that you 00:09:48.55\00:09:51.72 can find the story too and read along. I also recommend 00:09:51.75\00:09:55.12 afterwards reading the story again to review it and to really 00:09:55.16\00:09:58.99 understand it well. Luke chapter 15 verse seven: Today's story is 00:09:59.03\00:10:05.33 called Two Lost Sons. Here we go, 15 verse seven: 00:10:05.37\00:10:11.47 Oh this is the end of the other story. Pardon me. 00:10:11.51\00:10:17.68 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over 00:10:17.71\00:10:21.05 one sinner that repents than over the 99 persons who have no 00:10:21.08\00:10:25.45 need of repentance. 00:10:25.49\00:10:26.82 And that's how the end of the story ended last week. Let's 00:10:26.86\00:10:28.96 jump into the story for this week which is also thankfully in 00:10:28.99\00:10:32.69 Luke chapter 15. You see there were two sons. One was 00:10:32.73\00:10:38.27 responsible and dependable. He didn't complain he the older son 00:10:38.30\00:10:41.97 and he just did what he was told. He worked really hard. 00:10:42.00\00:10:45.21 The other son was the younger son and in this family, not in 00:10:45.24\00:10:49.04 all families, this son was selfish, ungrateful and 00:10:49.08\00:10:53.05 complained a lot. Hmm. The youngest son was unhappy with 00:10:53.08\00:10:58.12 how his life was going and he wanted adventure. He wanted 00:10:58.15\00:11:01.62 excitement. He wanted to do something new and different. 00:11:01.66\00:11:04.93 So he asked for his inheritance early. Inheritance Miss Michelle 00:11:04.96\00:11:10.20 you may ask. Inheritance is what when their father would die he 00:11:10.23\00:11:15.64 would leave to them. So their father probably had what's 00:11:15.67\00:11:18.51 called a will and in the will it said, My oldest son gets this, 00:11:18.54\00:11:21.71 my youngest son gets this, my servants get this, so and so 00:11:21.74\00:11:24.78 gets that. And that was the inheritance. Now that was not 00:11:24.81\00:11:28.72 very kind to ask for his father to give him what he had in the 00:11:28.75\00:11:32.85 inheritance before he died. What it was really saying to his 00:11:32.89\00:11:36.29 Father was I don't care if you're dead or alive. I just 00:11:36.32\00:11:38.46 want your stuff, I just want your money. Wow. But because the 00:11:38.49\00:11:43.13 Father loved him so much and really wanted him to be able to 00:11:43.16\00:11:48.87 make choices and learn from his mistakes, he did, he gave him 00:11:48.90\00:11:52.57 his inheritance early. And you can imagine the older son was 00:11:52.61\00:11:57.81 not too thrilled but he didn't complain. He just went about his 00:11:57.85\00:12:01.48 business. He knew that some day he would get the rest of the 00:12:01.52\00:12:04.25 inheritance that was due to him. Guess what the younger son did. 00:12:04.29\00:12:09.09 He wasted his possessions with prodigal living. Now you may 00:12:09.12\00:12:12.79 have heard of this story before being called the prodigal son. 00:12:12.83\00:12:17.63 What does prodigal mean though? Right? So I looked it up in the 00:12:17.67\00:12:20.40 dictionary for us and it means spending money or resources 00:12:20.44\00:12:24.81 freely and recklessly. That means without a plan, wastefully 00:12:24.84\00:12:29.58 extravagant. So he just wasted all his money on crazy, cool 00:12:29.61\00:12:33.62 things that he thought were awesome but they were just 00:12:33.65\00:12:36.75 temporary. Right? And younger son it made him happy for now. 00:12:36.79\00:12:40.52 In fact, he had so much money it correlated or it connected to 00:12:40.56\00:12:44.46 how many friends he had. He had a lot of friends. So he felt 00:12:44.49\00:12:48.76 really good about himself. He had money, he had friends, he 00:12:48.80\00:12:51.30 was doing exciting things. But the father, you see, was heart 00:12:51.33\00:12:56.14 broken. He was at home, but he never gave up on that son. He 00:12:56.17\00:13:00.11 kept watching for him to come home. And the climax of the 00:13:00.14\00:13:05.45 story comes in Luke 15 verses 14 and 15. So let's jump back to 00:13:05.48\00:13:09.55 the Bible there. Luke 15 verses 14 and 15: Here we go. 00:13:09.58\00:13:15.12 But when he [the younger son] had spent all, there arose a 00:13:15.16\00:13:20.30 severe [or bad] famine in that land and he began to be in want. 00:13:20.33\00:13:26.50 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country and 00:13:26.53\00:13:34.28 he sent him into the fields to feed swine. 00:13:34.31\00:13:37.65 Do you guys know what swine are? Swine are pigs. And I actually 00:13:37.68\00:13:43.18 hadn't thought of this before but our lesson explains that 00:13:43.22\00:13:46.09 taking care of pigs was like as bad as it could get for a Jewish 00:13:46.12\00:13:50.76 person because we know that in the Bible that God had 00:13:50.79\00:13:53.86 instructed them to not even touch pigs. And here he was in 00:13:53.90\00:13:58.53 charge of taking care of them. Now you may ask where are his 00:13:58.57\00:14:03.04 friends now? Were those real friends. No they weren't. They 00:14:03.07\00:14:06.24 disappeared as soon as his money was gone. And then he was left 00:14:06.27\00:14:12.18 to take care of pigs. He looked over at the pig food and he 00:14:12.21\00:14:15.68 thought mmm, that looks good. Can you imagine? He must have 00:14:15.72\00:14:19.05 been really hungry to think that pig food looked good. What a 00:14:19.09\00:14:23.19 stinky, stinky job. Then he got to thinking. He had a lot of 00:14:23.22\00:14:27.66 time to think when he was there taking care of the pigs. Right? 00:14:27.70\00:14:30.67 Then Luke 15 verse 17, he came to a conclusion. He said: 00:14:30.70\00:14:37.24 When he came to himself he said, How many of my father's hired 00:14:37.27\00:14:41.08 servants have bread enough to spare and I perish with hunger. 00:14:41.11\00:14:45.45 I will arise and go to my father and will say to him, Father I 00:14:45.48\00:14:49.92 have sinned against heaven and before you. [And continue to 00:14:49.95\00:14:52.52 verse 19] and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. 00:14:52.55\00:14:56.99 Make me like one of your hired servants. 00:14:57.03\00:14:59.49 He thought, they have it better. I'm just going to go home and 00:14:59.53\00:15:02.43 be a servant for my father. I don't even care if he calls me 00:15:02.46\00:15:05.40 his son anymore. I just really want to live. And so that's what 00:15:05.43\00:15:10.24 he did. He headed home. The boy was a dejected young man as he 00:15:10.27\00:15:14.44 headed home and up the dirt path but his father had, like we said 00:15:14.48\00:15:18.18 never given up on him. And in verse 20 it says: 00:15:18.21\00:15:20.75 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a 00:15:20.78\00:15:24.52 great way off, [that means far away] his father saw him [he 00:15:24.55\00:15:29.62 was looking] and he had compassion [that means love] 00:15:29.66\00:15:32.26 on him and he ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 00:15:32.29\00:15:35.56 He gave him a big hug and a kiss His dad was so happy to have him 00:15:35.60\00:15:39.97 home. And verse 21 says: 00:15:40.00\00:15:43.47 The son said to him [he got ready his speech, right, he 00:15:43.51\00:15:46.54 says] Father I have sinned against heaven and in your sight 00:15:46.57\00:15:49.08 I am no longer worthy to be called you son. 00:15:49.11\00:15:51.68 And right then his father just cut him off. He didn't even let 00:15:51.71\00:15:55.25 him finish his speech that he had planned. 00:15:55.28\00:15:57.05 But his father said to the servants, bring out the best 00:15:57.09\00:15:59.79 robe and put on him and put on a ring on his hand and sandals on 00:15:59.82\00:16:03.63 his feet. And bring the fatted calf here to kill it and let us 00:16:03.66\00:16:08.06 eat and be merry. [He was like let's have a big party.] For 00:16:08.10\00:16:12.07 this my son was dead and is alive again. He was lost and now 00:16:12.10\00:16:16.10 he is found. And they began to be merry [which means happy.] 00:16:16.14\00:16:19.87 Now was his son really dead? Not literally but spiritually he was 00:16:19.91\00:16:25.98 dead and if he'd remained far away he probably would have died 00:16:26.01\00:16:29.55 or hunger, wouldn't he have? Now you can imagine the big 00:16:29.58\00:16:33.66 festivity, the big party, that happened at that home that night 00:16:33.69\00:16:37.56 And just as the party was really getting going the older son came 00:16:37.59\00:16:43.33 home. Now do you think he was excited that his younger brother 00:16:43.37\00:16:46.23 was home? Or was he frustrated? Hmm. Let's find out. In verse 27 00:16:46.27\00:16:53.58 it says: And he said to him your brother has come and he has 00:16:53.61\00:16:57.65 received him safe and sound your father has killed the fatted 00:16:57.68\00:16:59.98 calf. But he [the older brother] was angry and would not go into 00:17:00.02\00:17:06.69 the party. Therefore, his father came out and pleaded with him. 00:17:06.72\00:17:09.89 So he answered and said to his father, Lo many years I have 00:17:09.92\00:17:13.53 served you and never transgressed your commandment 00:17:13.56\00:17:17.37 at any time and yet you never gave me a young goat that I may 00:17:17.40\00:17:23.17 be merry with my friends but as soon as this son of yours who 00:17:23.20\00:17:27.34 devoured your livelihood, he came home and you've killed the 00:17:27.38\00:17:33.58 fatted calf for him. And the father said to him, Son you were 00:17:33.62\00:17:37.19 always with me and all that I have is yours. It was right that 00:17:37.22\00:17:41.16 we should make merry and be glad for your brother was dead and is 00:17:41.19\00:17:44.09 alive again. He was lost and now he is found. 00:17:44.13\00:17:47.86 Hmm. Two lost boys. All the times we focus only on the 00:17:47.90\00:17:54.04 prodigal, the younger one, who went away and spent all that 00:17:54.07\00:17:57.21 money recklessly. But Jesus was also making another point. There 00:17:57.24\00:18:02.01 are people in this world who are lost and who make bad choices 00:18:02.04\00:18:04.51 and who go out and make wicked or bad decisions. Right? But 00:18:04.55\00:18:09.28 there are also people who think they're pretty downright awesome 00:18:09.32\00:18:12.75 In fact, they think they're better than anyone else. Can you 00:18:12.79\00:18:15.72 think of who he might have been talking to in Bible times. 00:18:15.76\00:18:18.29 That's right. He was talking to the Pharisees. They followed all 00:18:18.33\00:18:22.90 the rules, every single rule. In fact, they followed all the 00:18:22.93\00:18:26.13 rules in the Bible and then they made up extra ones just to show 00:18:26.17\00:18:28.50 how good they were. And that's the thing. They didn't follow 00:18:28.54\00:18:31.71 the rules because they loved Jesus. They followed the rules 00:18:31.74\00:18:34.91 to look good themselves. They followed the rules so that other 00:18:34.94\00:18:37.51 people would pay attention to them and give them glory, not 00:18:37.55\00:18:40.25 God. Jesus was also talking about them because they're 00:18:40.28\00:18:44.52 also lost, just like the older brother was lost and that he 00:18:44.55\00:18:47.92 didn't realize how exciting it was when someone who's made 00:18:47.96\00:18:50.53 mistakes decides to change their lives through the power of Jesus 00:18:50.56\00:18:54.16 of course. So this has a good lesson for all of us whether we 00:18:54.20\00:18:58.87 feel like we make lots of mistakes or maybe we feel like 00:18:58.90\00:19:01.77 we're pretty close to perfect. I know I'm not. But maybe we 00:19:01.80\00:19:05.64 felt that way before. We all need Jesus. We all are lost and 00:19:05.67\00:19:10.21 the Bible says if we confess our sins, so here's the good news, 00:19:10.25\00:19:15.35 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to 00:19:15.38\00:19:19.15 cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 00:19:19.19\00:19:21.29 Unrighteousness means the things how we mess up in our lives and 00:19:21.32\00:19:25.16 the bad decisions that we make. He'll cleanse us from all that. 00:19:25.19\00:19:27.86 He'll forgive us. That's found in 1 John 1 verse 9. I know that 00:19:27.90\00:19:33.44 I don't want to be like the younger son who spent all that 00:19:33.47\00:19:37.67 money. I don't want to be like the older son who thinks that 00:19:37.71\00:19:39.54 they don't need Jesus' help to live a good Christian life. 00:19:39.57\00:19:42.98 I want to be like the younger son at the end of the story 00:19:43.01\00:19:45.48 where he realizes his mistakes and he comes to Jesus for help. 00:19:45.51\00:19:49.12 Don't you? 00:19:49.15\00:19:50.49 ¤ ¤ 00:19:50.52\00:20:04.47 Thank you Miss Michelle for that Bible story. (Pastor Joe) 00:22:54.17\00:22:55.77 Hi all the boys and girls. (Hudson) 00:22:55.80\00:22:58.34 How's it going? Well when daddy was a little boy I loved to go 00:22:58.37\00:23:05.41 [continued from last week] I loved to go sledding. When we 00:23:05.45\00:23:06.95 got to the bottom of the hill the road flattened out there 00:23:06.98\00:23:09.95 and just as I was starting to flatten out my sled was starting 00:23:09.98\00:23:13.56 to slow down and we were on a road and I heard an engine 00:23:13.59\00:23:16.93 behind me and I started to turn around to look to see what the 00:23:16.96\00:23:20.03 noise of this engine was. Then something distracted me and I 00:23:20.06\00:23:23.37 looked ahead again and then boom just like that a truck went 00:23:23.40\00:23:29.54 right over Daddy's 00:23:29.57\00:23:30.91 sled. This engine went right over the top of my head and I 00:23:30.94\00:23:35.91 was still sledding. I started going as fast as I could trying 00:23:35.94\00:23:38.91 to pump trying to keep up with this... because I was on my 00:23:38.95\00:23:41.38 stomach and my head was low to the ground, my chin was low to 00:23:41.42\00:23:44.15 the ground and I was trying to keep up and the tires were 00:23:44.19\00:23:46.45 turning and it was so scary. I yelled, Stop! Stop! and nobody 00:23:46.49\00:23:51.73 stopped. And he was driving and I thought I was going to die. I 00:23:51.76\00:23:56.43 Stop! and then my friend ahead of me, Christina, turned around 00:23:56.46\00:23:58.80 and she saw that I was sliding under a truck. She jumped up and 00:23:58.83\00:24:02.00 she waved her hand and she said Stop! Stop! And then the driver 00:24:02.04\00:24:04.94 started to pull over. That's when my left hand hit the tire 00:24:04.97\00:24:09.21 and my thumb got twisted but my sled kept going straight and 00:24:09.24\00:24:14.58 then the driver stopped and I was sledding out from under the 00:24:14.62\00:24:18.25 truck. Whoo! So scary! I jumped up. I turned around and I went 00:24:18.29\00:24:24.69 to the window of the driver and his window was already down. 00:24:24.73\00:24:28.20 I looked at him and he looked at me. And he turned as white as 00:24:28.23\00:24:32.70 the snow and he didn't say anything. I didn't say anything 00:24:32.73\00:24:37.01 because I didn't know what to say because I knew that if I had 00:24:37.04\00:24:40.78 been sledding over just that far that way, maybe that far that 00:24:40.81\00:24:44.85 way I would have gone right under the tires. I never even 00:24:44.88\00:24:49.65 probably would have known what happened. I would have gotten 00:24:49.68\00:24:51.45 tangled up under this three- quarter ton truck that was a two 00:24:51.49\00:24:55.02 wheel drive and it had a cord of firewood in the back of the 00:24:55.06\00:24:58.89 truck. So guess what Hudson. Hum. Guess who was taking care 00:24:58.93\00:25:02.76 of Daddy. Was it Jesus? Did he send his angels? Uh-huh. He can 00:25:02.80\00:25:08.04 watch out after us, can't he? Yeah. I have never seen my angel 00:25:08.07\00:25:12.57 but have been really close to him and he's been close to me 00:25:12.61\00:25:15.71 because he was steering my sled. And you know what boys and girls 00:25:15.74\00:25:18.55 God is willing to take care of us even when we're in a 00:25:18.58\00:25:22.32 dangerous situation we don't know about. So every day we want 00:25:22.35\00:25:25.92 to start by giving our life to God. Even though I was only 13 00:25:25.95\00:25:29.42 years old, I was old enough to think some pretty serious 00:25:29.46\00:25:31.29 thoughts and when I went to bed that night I couldn't quite 00:25:31.33\00:25:34.70 sleep at first and I realized I wanted my life, the whole thing, 00:25:34.73\00:25:39.57 to belong to God because he had given me another day to live and 00:25:39.60\00:25:44.67 he had protected me and so my life belonged to him that day 00:25:44.71\00:25:48.91 and belonged to him ever since. Shall we pray, yep, and ask God 00:25:48.94\00:25:52.91 to take care of us?
