So, let's look at those
five steps for the setup.

First is the promise of peace.

Jacob, first of all, tries
to send messengers of peace.

he has flocks...

he has herds and he's seeking
favor as it were... with Esau.

point of this five-step process,

It's the prayer for deliverance

Now, this is a really

and furthermore, when he bows,

reverses his father's blessings

So, it's as though
Jacob is returning to Esau

the blessings that he deceived

and he is reversing the blessing

It's as if Jacob's intention
