00:00:04.37\00:00:06.43
as we journey
through the Book of Hebrews.
00:00:06.47\00:00:09.07
It's hard to believe
00:00:09.10\00:00:10.44
we're almost at the
end of this journey.
00:00:10.47\00:00:12.24
We're on lesson
number 12 this week,
00:00:12.27\00:00:14.14
Receiving an Unshakable Kingdom.
00:00:14.18\00:00:16.75
I want to remind you
00:00:16.78\00:00:18.11

already gotten your own copy
00:00:18.15\00:00:20.78

of 3ABN Sabbath School Panel.
00:00:41.84\00:00:45.07
I have so loved this journey
through the Book of Hebrews.
00:01:16.77\00:01:19.81
What a blessing it's been
00:01:19.84\00:01:21.24
to dive deep
into the Word of God
00:01:21.28\00:01:22.81
and study with you at home.
00:01:22.84\00:01:24.61
Thank you for being part of
the 3ABN Sabbath School Panel.
00:01:24.65\00:01:28.25
And today, I'm on the
panel with my brothers.
00:01:28.28\00:01:31.92
The brethren are here today.
00:01:31.95\00:01:33.29
I want to introduce them to you.
00:01:33.32\00:01:35.22
They don't really
need any introduction,
00:01:35.26\00:01:36.99
because they're
part of the family.
00:01:37.03\00:01:38.36
To my left,
Pastor James Rafferty,
00:01:38.39\00:01:39.79
good to have you here.
00:01:39.83\00:01:41.16
Good to be here, Jill.
00:01:41.20\00:01:42.53
I'm going to be looking
at You Have Come to God,
00:01:42.56\00:01:43.90
The Judge of All.
00:01:43.93\00:01:45.27
Amen.
00:01:45.30\00:01:46.63
To your left,
Pastor John Lomacang,
00:01:46.67\00:01:48.00
glad you're here, Pastor.
00:01:48.04\00:01:49.37
Good to be here and I'm covering
00:01:49.40\00:01:50.74
Shake the Heavens and the Earth.
00:01:50.77\00:01:52.14
Sounds good.
00:01:52.17\00:01:53.51
To your left,
Pastor John Dinzey,
00:01:53.54\00:01:55.84
glad you're here.
00:01:55.88\00:01:57.31
I'm blessed to be here.
00:01:57.35\00:01:58.68
I have Wednesday, An
Unshakable Kingdom. Amen.
00:01:58.71\00:02:01.98
I'm looking
forward to this study.
00:02:02.02\00:02:03.35
Last but not least,
00:02:03.39\00:02:04.72
Pastor Ryan Day, glad
you're here too, Brother.
00:02:04.75\00:02:06.96
Always a blessing. Yes.
00:02:06.99\00:02:08.32
And today we're
going to be learning
00:02:08.36\00:02:09.69
How To Be Grateful In The Lord.
00:02:09.72\00:02:11.06
Amen.
00:02:11.09\00:02:12.43
Ryan, would you pray for us
before we open up our study?
00:02:12.46\00:02:14.70
Yes, let's pray.
00:02:14.73\00:02:16.46
Our Father in heaven, Lord,
00:02:16.50\00:02:17.87
this has been such an
honor to be here on this panel
00:02:17.90\00:02:20.54
to be able to go through
this study together, Lord.
00:02:20.57\00:02:23.34
And, God, we
praise You for Your Word,
00:02:23.37\00:02:25.94
we praise You for Your truth.
00:02:25.97\00:02:27.91
And for this day
You have given us, Lord,
00:02:27.94\00:02:29.94
to once again reflect
and dive deep into Your Word,
00:02:29.98\00:02:32.95
to learn more of Your will.
00:02:32.98\00:02:34.42
So, we ask for the
Holy Spirit once more, Lord,
00:02:34.45\00:02:36.42
to lead and guide
us, to give us the words,
00:02:36.45\00:02:38.45
to give us the
thoughts that of Jesus Christ,
00:02:38.49\00:02:41.06
that each and every
one of us, those at home,
00:02:41.09\00:02:42.99
all watching around the world,
00:02:43.02\00:02:44.36
and those of us
here on this panel
00:02:44.39\00:02:45.79
and here in this studio, Lord,
00:02:45.83\00:02:48.20
may we all be
drawn to Jesus Christ
00:02:48.23\00:02:50.37
because of the
powerful gospel message
00:02:50.40\00:02:52.53
that we are learning
through the Book of Hebrews.
00:02:52.57\00:02:54.64
We thank You, and we praise You.
00:02:54.67\00:02:56.30
And we ask this
in Jesus' Holy Name.
00:02:56.34\00:02:58.11
Amen. Amen.
00:02:58.14\00:02:59.47
Amen. Thank you so much.
00:02:59.51\00:03:01.08
Last week, we
studied, of course,
00:03:01.11\00:03:02.71
The Saints' Hall of Fame.
00:03:02.74\00:03:04.75
I think that's
what Shelley called it.
00:03:04.78\00:03:06.31
Hebrews Chapter 11 and
then Hebrews Chapter 12,
00:03:06.35\00:03:09.08
the very beginning
that we look unto Jesus,
00:03:09.12\00:03:11.69
the author and finisher,
or perfecter of our faith.
00:03:11.72\00:03:16.06
This week, we continue
on in Hebrews Chapter 12,
00:03:16.09\00:03:19.89
specifically, verses 18
all the way down through 29.
00:03:19.93\00:03:23.37
Receiving an Unshakable Kingdom.
00:03:23.40\00:03:26.57
You know, there's a comparison,
the lesson brought out
00:03:26.60\00:03:28.30
on Sabbath's
portion of the lesson.
00:03:28.34\00:03:29.67
Hebrews Chapter
1 begins with what?
00:03:29.70\00:03:31.61
"God, who spoke
to us in times past,
00:03:31.64\00:03:35.01
has in these last days
spoken to us by His Son."
00:03:35.04\00:03:38.88
We come down to Hebrews 12:25.
00:03:38.91\00:03:41.12
And what does it say?
00:03:41.15\00:03:42.48
"See that you do not
refuse Him who speaks."
00:03:42.52\00:03:46.22
So in the
beginning, He's speaking to us,
00:03:46.25\00:03:48.92
we get to the end,
we need to pay attention
00:03:48.96\00:03:51.66
when He speaks to us.
00:03:51.69\00:03:54.36
This lesson is kind of divided
into four different sections,
00:03:54.40\00:03:56.87
and we're all going to
cover one of those sections.
00:03:56.90\00:03:59.67
The beginning
is The Inauguration
00:03:59.70\00:04:01.20
of the New Covenant.
00:04:01.24\00:04:02.57
Jesus became the
mediator of the New Covenant.
00:04:02.60\00:04:05.37
He provides His blood,
00:04:05.41\00:04:06.94
provides
salvation for all believers.
00:04:06.98\00:04:09.18
At Jesus' ascension to heaven,
00:04:09.21\00:04:11.21
where He sat at the
right hand of the Father,
00:04:11.25\00:04:13.48
His kingly rule and
priestly ministry began.
00:04:13.52\00:04:17.25
We look at The
Judgment That is Coming,
00:04:17.29\00:04:19.72
the judgment that brings
destruction to His enemies,
00:04:19.75\00:04:22.59
but that brings
vindication to His people,
00:04:22.62\00:04:25.49
because judgment is
in favor of the saints.
00:04:25.53\00:04:29.40
We look at
God's Eternal Kingdom.
00:04:29.43\00:04:31.97
Christ received the kingdom,
00:04:32.00\00:04:33.44
and He will share
it with the believers.
00:04:33.47\00:04:36.47
The saints of the Most
High will possess it forever.
00:04:36.50\00:04:39.97
The righteous
will not be shaken,
00:04:40.01\00:04:42.71
and Christ's
kingdom cannot be shaken.
00:04:42.74\00:04:45.71
And finally, we look
at Acceptable Worship.
00:04:45.75\00:04:48.02
What is
acceptable worship to God?
00:04:48.05\00:04:51.15
Let's look at our memory text.
00:04:51.19\00:04:52.52
We're in Hebrews 12:28.
00:04:52.55\00:04:55.69
Memory text is Hebrews 12:28.
00:04:55.72\00:04:58.53
"Therefore, since we
are receiving a kingdom
00:04:58.56\00:05:01.03
which cannot be
shaken, let us have grace,
00:05:01.06\00:05:05.10
by which we may serve
God acceptably with reverence
00:05:05.13\00:05:09.14
and godly fear."
00:05:09.17\00:05:11.14
On Sunday's lesson, we look
at You Have Come to Mount Zion.
00:05:11.17\00:05:14.98
And the lesson wants us
to read Hebrews 12:22-24.
00:05:15.01\00:05:18.41
But I want to go back,
00:05:18.45\00:05:19.78
because I believe
that sets the contrast
00:05:19.81\00:05:22.05
between the two
mountains, the mountain,
00:05:22.08\00:05:23.92
and the Mountain Zion.
00:05:23.95\00:05:25.29
Let's go back to Hebrews 12:18,
00:05:25.32\00:05:26.79
we're going to pick it up there.
00:05:26.82\00:05:28.16
And we have
seven takeaways today,
00:05:28.19\00:05:31.39
for the Old Covenant experience
00:05:31.43\00:05:33.13
and the New Covenant experience.
00:05:33.16\00:05:35.40
So in Hebrews 12:18,
00:05:35.43\00:05:37.57
"For you have not
come to the mountain."
00:05:37.60\00:05:39.43
Now this is Mount Sinai,
discussed in Exodus Chapter 19.
00:05:39.47\00:05:44.04
"You have not
come to the mountain
00:05:44.07\00:05:45.41
that may be touched
and that burned with fire,
00:05:45.44\00:05:48.24
to blackness and
darkness and tempest,
00:05:48.28\00:05:51.11
the sound of a trumpet
and the voice of words,
00:05:51.15\00:05:54.88
so that those who heard it
00:05:54.92\00:05:56.25
begged that the word should
not be spoken to them anymore."
00:05:56.28\00:05:59.45
Verse 20,
00:05:59.49\00:06:00.82
"For they could not
endure what was commanded:
00:06:00.86\00:06:04.39
'And if so much as a
beast touches the mountain,
00:06:04.43\00:06:07.46
it shall be stoned
or shot with an arrow."
00:06:07.50\00:06:09.90
That's a direct
quote from Exodus 19:21,
00:06:09.93\00:06:14.67
"And so terrifying was
the sight that Moses said,
00:06:14.70\00:06:18.71
'I am exceedingly
afraid and trembling.'"
00:06:18.74\00:06:22.51
What's happening here?
00:06:22.54\00:06:23.88
This is the Old
Covenant given on Mount Sinai.
00:06:23.91\00:06:27.88
We see the
blackness, and the darkness,
00:06:27.92\00:06:29.78
and the tempest,
00:06:29.82\00:06:31.15
the fear and terror
that the people felt.
00:06:31.19\00:06:34.76
Takeaway number one,
00:06:34.79\00:06:36.29
time period does not
necessarily equal experience.
00:06:36.32\00:06:41.53
Now you might say,
00:06:41.56\00:06:42.90
"What in the world are
you talking about, Jill?"
00:06:42.93\00:06:44.83
I believe this is
an Old Covenant time,
00:06:44.87\00:06:49.24
and many people
under the Old Covenant time
00:06:49.27\00:06:51.97
had an Old Covenant experience.
00:06:52.01\00:06:54.58
Exodus Chapter 19,
00:06:54.61\00:06:56.61
that's where the
people felt fear and terror,
00:06:56.64\00:07:01.55
and blackness, and
darkness, and tempest.
00:07:01.58\00:07:04.09
Now, they were clearly
under the Old Covenant time,
00:07:04.12\00:07:06.35
Jesus had not come yet.
00:07:06.39\00:07:07.92
And they were under
the sacrificial system,
00:07:07.96\00:07:09.72
they were under
that Old Covenant time.
00:07:09.76\00:07:12.16
And yet, they had an Old
Covenant experience of fear,
00:07:12.19\00:07:14.70
and terror, and
rules, and regulations.
00:07:14.73\00:07:18.43
I believe that under
the Old Covenant time,
00:07:18.47\00:07:22.54
some people could have
a New Covenant experience.
00:07:22.57\00:07:26.27
Now, that's not to
say that Jesus had come.
00:07:26.31\00:07:29.34
I'm not trying to
say that theologically,
00:07:29.38\00:07:31.31
we understand
that Jesus had not come
00:07:31.35\00:07:33.31
under the Old Covenant time.
00:07:33.35\00:07:34.95
But yet in Deuteronomy 11,
00:07:34.98\00:07:37.09
it says that He could
write the law in their hearts.
00:07:37.12\00:07:39.52
That's a New
Covenant experience.
00:07:39.55\00:07:41.22
In Deuteronomy 10, it
says, "The Lord delighted in you
00:07:41.26\00:07:44.19
and loved you in your fathers."
00:07:44.23\00:07:45.66
That's a New
Covenant experience.
00:07:45.69\00:07:48.00
In Exodus 19, it said, "He
bore you on eagle's wings."
00:07:48.03\00:07:51.57
That's a New
Covenant experience.
00:07:51.60\00:07:54.30
So, what God
wanted was the people,
00:07:54.34\00:07:56.47
even under the Old Covenant
00:07:56.50\00:07:57.84
to have the New
Covenant experience,
00:07:57.87\00:08:00.31
but sadly many people didn't.
00:08:00.34\00:08:02.24
Then we have the
New Covenant time,
00:08:02.28\00:08:04.45
and the New Covenant experience,
00:08:04.48\00:08:06.55
which is the
best of both worlds.
00:08:06.58\00:08:09.78
We see in the Book of Hebrews,
00:08:09.82\00:08:11.15
it's supposed to be
the New Covenant time
00:08:11.19\00:08:13.32
and the New Covenant experience,
00:08:13.36\00:08:15.09
where Jesus is the
mediator of the New Covenant.
00:08:15.12\00:08:17.69
And we see Jesus'
high priestly ministry
00:08:17.73\00:08:20.26
and the access through
the veil to the Father,
00:08:20.30\00:08:23.16
we see that there's no
longer animal sacrifices
00:08:23.20\00:08:25.57
that Jesus died
once and for all.
00:08:25.60\00:08:28.50
But sadly, many
people today live under
00:08:28.54\00:08:31.47
the New Covenant time,
00:08:31.51\00:08:33.14
and we have an Old
Covenant experience.
00:08:33.17\00:08:35.51
Is that your experience?
00:08:35.54\00:08:36.88
Do you live under
the New Covenant time,
00:08:36.91\00:08:38.98
because clearly, Jesus has come,
00:08:39.01\00:08:40.35
we are under the
New Covenant time,
00:08:40.38\00:08:42.18
and yet we don't allow Him
to write the law in our hearts.
00:08:42.22\00:08:44.89
We don't live with Jesus,
00:08:44.92\00:08:47.29
we live with just
rules and regulations.
00:08:47.32\00:08:50.03
We don't
experience the blood of Jesus,
00:08:50.06\00:08:52.09
we don't have
assurance of salvation.
00:08:52.13\00:08:54.70
We have that fear, and terror,
00:08:54.73\00:08:56.60
and blackness experience
from Exodus Chapter19.
00:08:56.63\00:09:00.14
We don't have the
light of His presence.
00:09:00.17\00:09:02.24
So, takeaway, that leads
us to takeaway number two,
00:09:02.27\00:09:05.64
Beware, lest you walk today
in an Old Covenant experience.
00:09:05.67\00:09:11.21
Many Christians today can walk
even under the New Covenant,
00:09:11.25\00:09:15.02
but still in an Old
Covenant experience.
00:09:15.05\00:09:17.79
Paul warned the
Galatian believers of this.
00:09:17.82\00:09:20.16
In Galatians 3:3, he
says, "Are you so foolish?
00:09:20.19\00:09:23.59
Having begun in the Spirit,
00:09:23.63\00:09:25.13
this is the New
Covenant experience,
00:09:25.16\00:09:26.83
recognizing that we're
saved by grace through faith.
00:09:26.86\00:09:30.00
"Are you now made
perfect in the flesh?
00:09:30.03\00:09:31.90
Are you going back to
the Old Covenant experience,
00:09:31.93\00:09:35.10
even though you truly
are under the New Covenant?
00:09:35.14\00:09:38.31
Are you walking in the
Old Covenant experience?"
00:09:38.34\00:09:41.11
Galatians 5:4, to me,
00:09:41.14\00:09:42.54
is one of the saddest
verses in the whole Bible.
00:09:42.58\00:09:46.82
It says, "You've
become estranged from Christ,
00:09:46.85\00:09:49.58
you who attempt to
be justified by law,
00:09:49.62\00:09:52.49
you have fallen from grace."
00:09:52.52\00:09:54.42
You are in the New Covenant
00:09:54.46\00:09:55.96
and you could have
the experience of walking
00:09:55.99\00:09:58.03
in the New Covenant experience,
00:09:58.06\00:09:59.49
but are you walking in
an Old Covenant experience?
00:09:59.53\00:10:02.63
Now, let's look at the
New Covenant experience.
00:10:02.66\00:10:04.73
So, in Hebrews 12,
00:10:04.77\00:10:06.20
we had looked at that
mountain of fear and terror
00:10:06.23\00:10:08.90
and trembling is
the Old Covenant.
00:10:08.94\00:10:10.37
Let's look at the New Covenant,
we pick it up in verse 22.
00:10:10.41\00:10:13.17
Hebrews 12:22,
but you have come,
00:10:13.21\00:10:16.14
you don't have to be
stuck in Mount Sinai.
00:10:16.18\00:10:18.21
"You have come to Mount Zion,
00:10:18.25\00:10:20.88
and to the city
of the living God,
00:10:20.92\00:10:22.45
the heavenly Jerusalem,
00:10:22.48\00:10:23.95
to an innumerable
company of angels."
00:10:23.99\00:10:27.46
We've come to Mount Zion
00:10:27.49\00:10:29.06
through faith in the
person of our representative,
00:10:29.09\00:10:32.16
Jesus Christ.
00:10:32.19\00:10:33.53
That's right.
00:10:33.56\00:10:34.90
We've come to Mount Zion
as opposed to Mount Sinai,
00:10:34.93\00:10:37.27
where there's
darkness, and tempest, and fear.
00:10:37.30\00:10:40.47
Jesus is the center of
this celebration with God
00:10:40.50\00:10:43.91
and the angels.
00:10:43.94\00:10:45.27
We see here, the inauguration
of the New Covenant,
00:10:45.31\00:10:47.84
Jesus' enthronement
after His ascension.
00:10:47.88\00:10:52.15
Takeaway number
three, because of Jesus,
00:10:52.18\00:10:54.92
we have everything.
00:10:54.95\00:10:56.42
We have the New
Covenant experience.
00:10:56.45\00:10:58.55
We have access to
Him through the veil,
00:10:58.59\00:11:00.59
Hebrews Chapter 10.
00:11:00.62\00:11:01.96
We have cleansing from
sin, Hebrews Chapter 9.
00:11:01.99\00:11:05.06
We have access to the
Father, Hebrews Chapter 4.
00:11:05.09\00:11:08.06
We have rest,
Hebrews Chapter 3 and 4.
00:11:08.10\00:11:11.67
We have an
intercessor and a high priest,
00:11:11.70\00:11:13.74
Hebrews Chapter 7 and 8.
00:11:13.77\00:11:15.54
We have a mediator,
Hebrews Chapter 9 and 12.
00:11:15.57\00:11:20.44
So, it's interesting, it says,
"We have come to Mount Zion."
00:11:20.48\00:11:23.75
I won't spend too
much time on this.
00:11:23.78\00:11:25.21
But if you look
back to Psalm Chapter 2.
00:11:25.25\00:11:27.85
Now, Paul actually
quotes this in Hebrews 1.
00:11:27.88\00:11:30.25
He references back to
Psalm 2 and Psalm 110.
00:11:30.29\00:11:33.79
But Psalms 2:6 and 7, it says,
00:11:33.82\00:11:37.09
"Yet I have set my king
00:11:37.13\00:11:40.33
on my holy hill of Zion."
00:11:40.36\00:11:43.30
I have set, God is acting here,
00:11:43.33\00:11:45.50
and "I have set"
is a technical term,
00:11:45.53\00:11:47.64
meaning install into office.
00:11:47.67\00:11:51.34
"I would declare the decree,
00:11:51.37\00:11:53.11
the Lord has said
to me, you are my son.
00:11:53.14\00:11:55.38
Today, I have begotten you."
00:11:55.41\00:11:57.41
Now, we covered
this on previous lessons.
00:11:57.45\00:11:59.21
It does not mean
Jesus was created.
00:11:59.25\00:12:01.18
Jesus was
pre-existent, Jesus is divine.
00:12:01.22\00:12:04.69
Jesus was the creator.
00:12:04.72\00:12:06.49
We see that clearly in John 1.
00:12:06.52\00:12:08.16
We see that
clearly in Hebrews 1,
00:12:08.19\00:12:10.23
and many other
passages of the Word.
00:12:10.26\00:12:12.49
But at this time,
we're speaking specifically
00:12:12.53\00:12:15.03
of the inauguration
of the New Covenant,
00:12:15.06\00:12:17.03
Jesus being
installed as the priest king
00:12:17.07\00:12:19.77
after His ascension.
00:12:19.80\00:12:21.77
We see the same
thing in Psalm 110:1,
00:12:21.80\00:12:24.57
"The Lord,"
that's God, the Father,
00:12:24.61\00:12:27.34
"said to my Lord,"
that's Jesus, the Messiah,
00:12:27.38\00:12:30.81
"sit at My right hand,"
that's the place of power,
00:12:30.85\00:12:34.22
"till I make your
enemies your footstool."
00:12:34.25\00:12:37.32
We see the same thing
in Revelation Chapter 5,
00:12:37.35\00:12:39.99
"Who could open the
scroll and loose the seals?"
00:12:40.02\00:12:43.83
Jesus, the Lamb of God
slain from the foundation
00:12:43.86\00:12:47.33
of the world, the
lion of the tribe of Judah,
00:12:47.36\00:12:50.00
He rose up.
00:12:50.03\00:12:51.37
And this is His
time of ascension.
00:12:51.40\00:12:54.24
You could say right
after the ascension,
00:12:54.27\00:12:55.70
the enthronement,
00:12:55.74\00:12:57.07
right there at the
right hand of the Father,
00:12:57.11\00:12:59.01
the inauguration
of the New Covenant,
00:12:59.04\00:13:01.58
and his kingly
and priestly rule.
00:13:01.61\00:13:04.38
Verse 23, this is Hebrews 12:23,
00:13:04.41\00:13:08.48
"To the General Assembly
in church of the firstborn
00:13:08.52\00:13:10.89
who are registered in heaven,
00:13:10.92\00:13:14.16
to call the Judge of all,
00:13:14.19\00:13:15.52
to the spirits of
just men made perfect."
00:13:15.56\00:13:17.96
Now, we're going
to go very quickly.
00:13:17.99\00:13:19.63
But takeaway number
four is, because of Jesus,
00:13:19.66\00:13:22.46
our names can be registered
in the book of heaven.
00:13:22.50\00:13:26.57
Next verse, verse 24,
00:13:26.60\00:13:28.47
"To Jesus, the
mediator of the New Covenant,
00:13:28.50\00:13:30.77
and to the blood of sprinkling
00:13:30.81\00:13:32.14
that speaks better
things than that of Abel."
00:13:32.17\00:13:35.01
Takeaway number
five, because of Jesus,
00:13:35.04\00:13:37.35
we receive an
eternal inheritance.
00:13:37.38\00:13:41.52
Takeaway number
six, because of Jesus,
00:13:41.55\00:13:43.89
we are purchased back,
00:13:43.92\00:13:45.25
we are redeemed from
what our sin deserved.
00:13:45.29\00:13:48.46
Ephesians 1:7, "In Him,
00:13:48.49\00:13:49.96
we have
redemption through His blood,
00:13:49.99\00:13:53.43
the forgiveness of sins,
00:13:53.46\00:13:54.80
according to the
riches of His grace."
00:13:54.83\00:13:57.53
Jesus' death bought us back
from what our sins deserved,
00:13:57.57\00:14:00.97
because He's the
mediator of the New Covenant,
00:14:01.00\00:14:03.54
we receive forgiveness.
00:14:03.57\00:14:04.91
And finally,
takeaway number seven,
00:14:04.94\00:14:06.98
because of Jesus,
00:14:07.01\00:14:08.54
sins committed
before Jesus came,
00:14:08.58\00:14:10.95
they can be forgiven as well.
00:14:10.98\00:14:13.15
Not just the sins since
He came, but the sins before,
00:14:13.18\00:14:16.52
when people sacrificed animals,
00:14:16.55\00:14:18.89
looking forward with
faith to the coming Messiah,
00:14:18.92\00:14:22.02
that blood of
Jesus covers all sin.
00:14:22.06\00:14:24.56
Amen. Amen.
00:14:24.59\00:14:25.99
Amen. That was such a blessing.
00:14:26.03\00:14:29.93
A great summary of
the Book of Hebrews, Jill.
00:14:29.96\00:14:32.53
And it's so hard for us.
00:14:32.57\00:14:34.17
I think we're at
the end of this now,
00:14:34.20\00:14:35.80
it's so hard to kind of stop
because there's so much here.
00:14:35.84\00:14:39.64
I looked at the
quarterly and I thought, "Wow,
00:14:39.67\00:14:41.41
these are great lessons."
00:14:41.44\00:14:42.78
And I thought, "But
there's so much more we could."
00:14:42.81\00:14:45.11
I think, John, you mentioned
that there was a quarterly
00:14:45.15\00:14:47.28
that covered the Book of
Hebrews in three quarters,
00:14:47.32\00:14:50.15
instead of one
quarter, if you can imagine.
00:14:50.19\00:14:52.22
I'm James Rafferty,
and I have Monday's lesson,
00:14:52.25\00:14:54.42
which is called or
entitled, You Have Come to God,
00:14:54.46\00:14:56.73
The Judge of All,
00:14:56.76\00:14:58.09
and it's based on Hebrews 12:23.
00:14:58.13\00:15:03.26
Let's just read that
verse, Hebrews 12:23.
00:15:03.30\00:15:06.27
Here's what it says,
00:15:06.30\00:15:07.64
"To the general assembly
and church of the firstborn,
00:15:07.67\00:15:10.97
which are written in heaven,
00:15:11.01\00:15:12.67
and to God the Judge of all,
00:15:12.71\00:15:15.01
and to the spirits of
just men made perfect."
00:15:15.04\00:15:18.61
And the lesson basically
says, "Let's read that,
00:15:18.65\00:15:21.25
and then let's recognize
that this is a celebration."
00:15:21.28\00:15:25.89
But if this is a celebration,
00:15:25.92\00:15:27.79
why is God described as a judge?
00:15:27.82\00:15:30.13
How can a judge be part
of a reason for celebration?
00:15:30.16\00:15:34.83
And it asks us to
read Daniel Chapter 7, 9,
00:15:34.86\00:15:37.37
and 10 and verses 13-22.
00:15:37.40\00:15:39.63
But I'm not going to go there.
00:15:39.67\00:15:41.14
I want to go to
Revelation, my favorite book,
00:15:41.17\00:15:43.74
Revelation 19:1-6,
00:15:43.77\00:15:46.31
because we have this incredible
explanation of the celebration,
00:15:46.34\00:15:51.21
and the reasons
for the celebration
00:15:51.25\00:15:53.08
in these verses.
00:15:53.11\00:15:54.45
Now, Revelation Chapter 19
00:15:54.48\00:15:55.82
is kind of wrapping up
the Book of Revelation,
00:15:55.85\00:15:57.45
kind of
summarizing, if you will,
00:15:57.49\00:15:59.29
not only Revelation,
00:15:59.32\00:16:00.66
but the whole great controversy.
00:16:00.69\00:16:02.12
And here's the
summary that God brings to us,
00:16:02.16\00:16:04.29
beginning in verse 1,
Revelation Chapter 19.
00:16:04.33\00:16:07.56
"And after these
things, I heard a great voice
00:16:07.60\00:16:09.80
of much people in
heaven saying, 'Alleluia!
00:16:09.83\00:16:14.27
Salvation and glory and honor
00:16:14.30\00:16:15.90
and power unto
the Lord, our God.'"
00:16:15.94\00:16:17.74
Now, just pause
there for a second,
00:16:17.77\00:16:19.74
Revelation 19:1
00:16:19.77\00:16:21.11
is paralleling
Hebrews 12:23 and 24.
00:16:21.14\00:16:25.61
We're in heaven,
we're on Mount Zion,
00:16:25.65\00:16:27.42
we hear a great voice.
00:16:27.45\00:16:29.05
But there's more here,
00:16:29.08\00:16:30.42
it kind of
builds on the picture.
00:16:30.45\00:16:31.95
Because Revelation 14
talks about Mount Zion,
00:16:31.99\00:16:34.39
and 144,000 being there,
and a gathering taking place.
00:16:34.42\00:16:38.06
Revelation 19
brings us a bigger,
00:16:38.09\00:16:40.13
fuller picture in
the context of Daniel,
00:16:40.16\00:16:43.06
oh, excuse me,
Hebrews 12:23 of judgment.
00:16:43.10\00:16:45.23
Next verse.
00:16:45.27\00:16:46.60
Verse 2 says, "For true and
righteous are His judgments."
00:16:46.63\00:16:50.31
Now, the previous verses
calling us to say, "Alleluia,"
00:16:50.34\00:16:53.38
which means
praise the Lord, why?
00:16:53.41\00:16:55.91
For true and
righteous are His judgments.
00:16:55.94\00:16:58.31
Now, let's just
pause for a second.
00:16:58.35\00:17:00.38
Have you ever been
misjudged, misrepresented?
00:17:00.42\00:17:03.22
Have you ever seen judgments
in this world that are unfair
00:17:03.25\00:17:06.39
and unrighteous?
00:17:06.42\00:17:07.92
Well, now, we have the
final settling of accounts.
00:17:07.96\00:17:11.16
We have true justice,
we have true judgments,
00:17:11.19\00:17:14.26
we have truth taking place here,
00:17:14.30\00:17:16.90
righteousness taking place here.
00:17:16.93\00:17:19.03
And they are God's judgments,
"For He," it says in verse 2,
00:17:19.07\00:17:22.34
"has judged the great whore,
00:17:22.37\00:17:24.34
which did corrupt the
earth with her fornication
00:17:24.37\00:17:26.78
and avenged the
blood of His servants
00:17:26.81\00:17:29.24
at her hand, vengeance is mine,
00:17:29.28\00:17:31.15
I will repay, says the Lord."
00:17:31.18\00:17:33.08
So, if your enemy
is hungry, feed him.
00:17:33.11\00:17:34.45
If he's thirsty,
give him water to drink.
00:17:34.48\00:17:36.15
That is challenging,
to turn the other cheek,
00:17:36.18\00:17:38.59
to go the extra mile.
00:17:38.62\00:17:39.95
The thing that
motivates us to do that, partly,
00:17:39.99\00:17:42.56
is not just the
love of God, but also,
00:17:42.59\00:17:44.56
the fact that God will judge.
00:17:44.59\00:17:46.63
God will take care.
00:17:46.66\00:17:48.00
"Vengeance is mine, I
will repay," says the Lord.
00:17:48.03\00:17:50.80
And we've come to
that day in Revelation 19
00:17:50.83\00:17:52.90
when God is repaying.
00:17:52.93\00:17:54.27
That's what the celebration
is about in Hebrews Chapter 12,
00:17:54.30\00:17:56.84
but it goes on.
00:17:56.87\00:17:58.37
And again, they
said, verse 3, Alleluia.
00:17:58.41\00:18:01.84
So, we've already been
asked to praise God one time,
00:18:01.88\00:18:04.25
now we're asked
to praise Him again,
00:18:04.28\00:18:05.61
after we hear the reason,
00:18:05.65\00:18:07.35
that His judgments
have been made manifest.
00:18:07.38\00:18:09.02
Because if you've been
beaten, if you've been battered,
00:18:09.05\00:18:13.29
if you've been bruised by sin,
by evil, if you've been robbed,
00:18:13.32\00:18:17.69
or raped, or ridiculed,
00:18:17.73\00:18:20.16
if you've been
hurt or hated or hunted,
00:18:20.20\00:18:22.43
if you've gone
through any of the things
00:18:22.46\00:18:24.10
that are described,
not only in the Bible,
00:18:24.13\00:18:26.23
but in this world,
00:18:26.27\00:18:27.60
the things that we
experience in this world,
00:18:27.64\00:18:29.14
you are going to
be praising the Lord,
00:18:29.17\00:18:30.97
that of judgment,
that of righteousness,
00:18:31.01\00:18:32.97
that of fairness has
finally been established.
00:18:33.01\00:18:35.34
And that is what Revelation
Chapter 19 is telling us.
00:18:35.38\00:18:38.71
In fact, in verse 4, it says,
00:18:38.75\00:18:40.32
"And the four and twenty elders
00:18:40.35\00:18:41.95
and the four beasts
fell down and worshiped God
00:18:41.98\00:18:44.05
and they sat on
the throne saying,
00:18:44.09\00:18:46.02
Amen, alleluia."
00:18:46.05\00:18:48.16
And then in verse 5, it says,
00:18:48.19\00:18:49.52
"And a voice came out
of the throne, saying,
00:18:49.56\00:18:51.39
Praise God, all you
servants, and ye that fear Him,
00:18:51.43\00:18:54.03
small and great."
00:18:54.06\00:18:55.40
So, there's a
command given to praise God
00:18:55.43\00:18:57.17
because of His
righteous judgments.
00:18:57.20\00:18:58.70
And verse 6,
00:18:58.73\00:19:00.07
"And I heard as it were
the voice of a great multitude,
00:19:00.10\00:19:02.54
and as it were, the
voice of many waters,
00:19:02.57\00:19:04.54
and the voice of
mighty thunderings,
00:19:04.57\00:19:06.94
saying, Alleluia:
00:19:06.98\00:19:08.78
for the Lord God
omnipotent reigneth."
00:19:08.81\00:19:12.41
Our voice, combined
together, I should say,
00:19:12.45\00:19:15.12
our voices combined together,
00:19:15.15\00:19:16.48
are going to sound like
the voice of many thunderings.
00:19:16.52\00:19:18.45
You know, thunder is powerful.
00:19:18.49\00:19:20.29
Oh, I love to hear that thunder.
00:19:20.32\00:19:21.72
I remember I was
sitting on the edge
00:19:21.76\00:19:23.12
of my bed one evening,
00:19:23.16\00:19:24.49
just listening to the thunder
00:19:24.53\00:19:26.03
and watching the
lightning off in the distance,
00:19:26.06\00:19:27.83
you know, and I was just saying,
00:19:27.86\00:19:32.10
and all of a sudden a lightning
bolt hit right in front
00:19:32.13\00:19:33.90
of our window and
the thunder clapped,
00:19:33.94\00:19:36.17
and I jumped off my
bed on to the floor.
00:19:36.20\00:19:38.14
It was so scary.
00:19:38.17\00:19:40.28
The thunder is
powerful, thunder is beautiful,
00:19:40.31\00:19:42.68
but thunder reveals the
power and the presence of God.
00:19:42.71\00:19:46.41
Many times in the Bible,
00:19:46.45\00:19:47.78
we're told that God
thunders with His voice.
00:19:47.82\00:19:49.65
In fact, when God spoke
to Jesus at the temple there,
00:19:49.68\00:19:52.49
a lot of people
that heard that voice
00:19:52.52\00:19:54.32
thought that it thundered.
00:19:54.36\00:19:56.06
So, we have this proclamation,
00:19:56.09\00:19:58.19
if you will, this
command in a sense,
00:19:58.23\00:20:00.86
to praise God for
His righteousness,
00:20:00.90\00:20:02.93
for His righteous judgments.
00:20:02.96\00:20:04.43
That is why it's described
00:20:04.47\00:20:05.93
as a celebration
in Hebrews 12:22-24.
00:20:05.97\00:20:10.61
It alludes the
quarterly says, the author says,
00:20:10.64\00:20:12.81
"To a future judgment,
God, the judge presides,
00:20:12.84\00:20:16.24
the books are
used, they're opened
00:20:16.28\00:20:18.21
and the result of this
future judgment from the books
00:20:18.25\00:20:20.52
is that God's people
receive the kingdom."
00:20:20.55\00:20:24.02
The quarterly goes on to say,
00:20:24.05\00:20:25.39
"This scene invokes the
great pre-advent judgment
00:20:25.42\00:20:28.32
described in Daniel 7,
00:20:28.36\00:20:29.82
which portrays a
judgment scene where God,
00:20:29.86\00:20:32.13
the Ancient of Days,
00:20:32.16\00:20:33.60
sits on a throne made of fire,
00:20:33.63\00:20:35.56
and is surrounded
when ten thousand times
00:20:35.60\00:20:37.73
ten thousands of
angels, books are opened.
00:20:37.77\00:20:41.34
And the judgment
is described in favor,
00:20:41.37\00:20:43.87
or decided in
favor of the saints
00:20:43.91\00:20:45.91
of the Most High."
00:20:45.94\00:20:47.28
I love that.
Judgment is made in our favor.
00:20:47.31\00:20:49.98
And then it goes
on to say, "And we,
00:20:50.01\00:20:52.85
the saints of the Most
High, then possess the kingdom."
00:20:52.88\00:20:56.22
So, this is similar
to Hebrews 12:22-29,
00:20:56.25\00:20:59.49
which describes the
judgment scene on Mount Zion,
00:20:59.52\00:21:01.79
the heavenly Jerusalem,
where God, the Judge of all,
00:21:01.82\00:21:04.73
is surrounded with thousands
of thousands of angels.
00:21:04.76\00:21:07.46
This scene is also a fiery
one, according to Hebrews 12:29.
00:21:07.50\00:21:11.73
It includes books,
00:21:11.77\00:21:13.10
because the saints
are enrolled in them,
00:21:13.13\00:21:15.44
which implies a favorable
judgment for the saints.
00:21:15.47\00:21:19.11
The spirits have
just been made perfect
00:21:19.14\00:21:20.58
would be the
spiritual character of just man
00:21:20.61\00:21:23.04
perfected by the
righteousness of Jesus Christ.
00:21:23.08\00:21:27.55
And then it goes on
to ask this question
00:21:27.58\00:21:29.15
toward the end of
our lesson for Monday.
00:21:29.18\00:21:31.32
It says, "How does
what we study today
00:21:31.35\00:21:33.76
help us to
understand that God's judgment
00:21:33.79\00:21:37.36
in the three angels'
messages is good news
00:21:37.39\00:21:39.89
because the everlasting
gospel says to all the nations
00:21:39.93\00:21:43.16
that dwell on the earth,
fear God and give glory to Him
00:21:43.20\00:21:46.07
for the hour of
His judgment is come."
00:21:46.10\00:21:48.40
Well, there are three reasons
why the judgment is good news.
00:21:48.44\00:21:50.21
Reason number
one, three takeaways.
00:21:50.24\00:21:53.38
Takeaway number one,
00:21:53.41\00:21:54.81
Revelation
Chapter 14 is good news,
00:21:54.84\00:21:57.55
because it comes
down to the proclamation
00:21:57.58\00:21:59.25
of the everlasting gospel.
00:21:59.28\00:22:00.62
And the everlasting
gospel is good news. It's good.
00:22:00.65\00:22:02.58
And we have to define
the judgment in that context.
00:22:02.62\00:22:07.16
And, of course,
Romans Chapter 14 tells us,
00:22:07.19\00:22:09.69
that the reason why
the judgment is good news
00:22:09.72\00:22:11.99
is because it
gets us off the hook.
00:22:12.03\00:22:14.16
Everyone's going to stand
00:22:14.20\00:22:15.53
before the
judgment seat of Christ.
00:22:15.56\00:22:16.90
So, we don't need to
judge anyone anymore.
00:22:16.93\00:22:19.03
You don't need to judge
me, I don't need to judge you.
00:22:19.07\00:22:20.87
We are taken off the
hook from judging one another,
00:22:20.90\00:22:24.07
because God is the final judge.
00:22:24.11\00:22:26.81
Matthew Chapter 7
tells us it's good news,
00:22:26.84\00:22:28.81
because Matthew 7
explains, that there are people
00:22:28.84\00:22:31.75
who come to the
Lord in the end of time,
00:22:31.78\00:22:33.68
and they point
to their good works,
00:22:33.72\00:22:35.08
and they say, "We've done this,
00:22:35.12\00:22:36.72
and we've done that, let us in."
00:22:36.75\00:22:38.75
Well, the judgment
basically reminds us
00:22:38.79\00:22:41.02
not to depend on our good works
00:22:41.06\00:22:43.93
to be entering into
the kingdom of heaven.
00:22:43.96\00:22:45.79
Yeah. Jesus will
say, "I don't know you."
00:22:45.83\00:22:47.86
Our entrance into heaven is
not based upon our good works,
00:22:47.90\00:22:51.17
it's based upon our
relationship with Christ,
00:22:51.20\00:22:52.97
and our trust in
His righteousness.
00:22:53.00\00:22:54.80
Amen.
00:22:54.84\00:22:56.17
The third
reason for the judgment
00:22:56.20\00:22:57.67
being good news is
found in Revelation 12:9, 10
00:22:57.71\00:23:03.31
and 11.
00:23:03.35\00:23:04.68
And in Revelation Chapter
12, it basically tells us
00:23:04.71\00:23:06.75
that Jesus Christ be
lifted up was the reason
00:23:06.78\00:23:09.58
why the devil was
cast out of this earth.
00:23:09.62\00:23:13.09
And his angels
were cast out with him.
00:23:13.12\00:23:15.59
In other words,
Jesus Christ and the cross,
00:23:15.62\00:23:19.06
the everlasting gospel
finally not only vindicates us,
00:23:19.09\00:23:23.37
but also
vindicates God's character.
00:23:23.40\00:23:25.53
It silences the
accusations of Satan against us,
00:23:25.57\00:23:29.37
because in Revelation
12:10, we're told that,
00:23:29.40\00:23:31.57
"The accuser is cast down,
00:23:31.61\00:23:32.94
who accuses us
before God day and night,"
00:23:32.97\00:23:35.34
24/7, 365 days a
year, we have this accuser,
00:23:35.38\00:23:39.78
and we hear his words,
he points to our history,
00:23:39.81\00:23:42.75
he seeks to undermine
our confidence in Christ
00:23:42.78\00:23:45.55
and His righteousness,
00:23:45.59\00:23:46.92
he seeks to place upon us
a guilt trip to wear us down.
00:23:46.96\00:23:50.19
This is the fruit of the tree
00:23:50.23\00:23:51.89
of the knowledge
of good and evil,
00:23:51.93\00:23:53.26
this guilt that God
wants to press us down with,
00:23:53.29\00:23:55.26
excuse me, that Satan
wants to press us down with,
00:23:55.30\00:23:57.50
and Satan is finally
going to be vanquished.
00:23:57.53\00:23:59.97
So the judgment is good news.
00:24:00.00\00:24:01.64
Because we don't
have to judge others,
00:24:01.67\00:24:03.00
because we don't have to
trust in our works to be saved.
00:24:03.04\00:24:05.27
And because the accuser's
voice is going to be silenced
00:24:05.31\00:24:08.71
according to
Isaiah Chapter 54:17,
00:24:08.74\00:24:11.45
I believe it is,
00:24:11.48\00:24:12.91
"That is our
heritage or our inheritance,
00:24:12.95\00:24:16.75
every weapon that
is formed against us
00:24:16.79\00:24:18.75
is going to come to naught,
00:24:18.79\00:24:20.29
and his voice is
finally going to be silenced
00:24:20.32\00:24:22.72
by the righteous
claims of Jesus Christ."
00:24:22.76\00:24:26.13
Amen. Thank you so much.
00:24:26.16\00:24:28.06
What great hope. Good news.
00:24:28.10\00:24:30.23
Praise the Lord.
00:24:30.27\00:24:31.60
We're going to
take a short break,
00:24:31.63\00:24:33.13

Welcome back to our
study on Hebrews Chapter 12,
00:25:09.30\00:25:11.94
Receiving An Unshakable Kingdom.
00:25:11.97\00:25:14.14
And now, I'm going to
toss it over to Pastor John,
00:25:14.18\00:25:15.94
in Tuesday's lesson.
00:25:15.98\00:25:17.31
Yes, Shake The
Heavens and The Earth.
00:25:17.35\00:25:20.35
Who do you know
that can do that?
00:25:20.38\00:25:22.58
Only God.
00:25:22.62\00:25:24.89
The writer of Hebrews takes
us to some scenes in the Bible
00:25:24.92\00:25:28.16
that are often
overlooked, God intervening.
00:25:28.19\00:25:31.53
And I'm going to talk about
it in seven different ways.
00:25:31.56\00:25:35.60
The intervention of God.
00:25:35.63\00:25:37.40
You know, one of the wonderful
things about being a child
00:25:37.43\00:25:39.30
of God is, we
have God on our side.
00:25:39.33\00:25:41.70
And I begin with the
words of the Apostle Paul,
00:25:41.74\00:25:43.94
"If God be for us,
who can be against us?"
00:25:43.97\00:25:47.08
That's right. That's right.
00:25:47.11\00:25:48.44
And so, one plus
God equals the majority.
00:25:48.48\00:25:51.41
When we look at
God's intervention
00:25:51.45\00:25:52.91
throughout human history,
00:25:52.95\00:25:54.42
the writer of Hebrews
brings us to that work
00:25:54.45\00:25:57.55
that God is going to accomplish,
00:25:57.59\00:25:59.29
the shaking of the
heavens and the earth.
00:25:59.32\00:26:01.62
And he describes
that this is an event
00:26:01.66\00:26:04.49
that has yet to occur.
00:26:04.53\00:26:06.29
Hebrews 12:26,
Hebrews 12:26, he describes,
00:26:06.33\00:26:11.13
"Whose voice
then shook the heaven,
00:26:11.17\00:26:14.44
but now, He has promised saying,
00:26:14.47\00:26:18.17
'Yet once more I
shake not only the earth,
00:26:18.21\00:26:20.94
but also heaven."
00:26:20.98\00:26:22.58
Verse 27, "Now this,
00:26:22.61\00:26:24.38
'Yet once more, '
indicates the removal
00:26:24.41\00:26:27.52
of those things
that are being shaken,
00:26:27.55\00:26:30.59
as of things that
are made, that the things
00:26:30.62\00:26:34.06
which cannot be
shaken may remain."
00:26:34.09\00:26:37.39
When I was growing up, my
mother used to make cakes,
00:26:37.43\00:26:41.43
and she would give
me the responsibility
00:26:41.46\00:26:43.16
of sifting the flour.
00:26:43.20\00:26:45.10
And these old days, you
just do it by hand, it had,
00:26:45.13\00:26:47.94
it looked like a container
00:26:47.97\00:26:50.81
that had three or
four different strainers.
00:26:50.84\00:26:53.04
The larger one,
then the medium size,
00:26:53.07\00:26:54.94
and the smaller one
and the very fine one.
00:26:54.98\00:26:56.68
And she would say,
00:26:56.71\00:26:58.05
"Keep pouring the flour
in there and just go ahead
00:26:58.08\00:26:59.98
and shake it,
shake it, shake it."
00:27:00.02\00:27:01.62
And the powdery flour
would come out the end,
00:27:01.65\00:27:04.22
she said, "Okay,
do it one more time,
00:27:04.25\00:27:06.15
do it one more time."
00:27:06.19\00:27:07.82
And as I look at that,
00:27:07.86\00:27:09.22
I think about
God is making sure,
00:27:09.26\00:27:12.63
in the shaking time,
that only those things
00:27:12.66\00:27:15.36
that cannot be
shaken will remain.
00:27:15.40\00:27:18.10
He's removing all of the dross,
00:27:18.13\00:27:19.83
the things that we
don't see with our human eyes.
00:27:19.87\00:27:22.27
He's purifying the church,
00:27:22.30\00:27:23.91
getting it ready for
that ultimate victory.
00:27:23.94\00:27:26.37
And as the writer of Hebrews,
00:27:26.41\00:27:28.34
Paul, writes this in Hebrews 12,
00:27:28.38\00:27:30.61
it's a throwback
to Haggai 2:6 and 9.
00:27:30.65\00:27:34.38
It says, "For thus
says the Lord of hosts,
00:27:34.42\00:27:37.19
once more is a little while.
00:27:37.22\00:27:39.75
It is a little while.
00:27:39.79\00:27:41.82
I will shake heaven and
earth, the sea and dry land,
00:27:41.86\00:27:45.69
I will shake all nations,
00:27:45.73\00:27:48.00
and they shall come to
the desire of all nations,
00:27:48.03\00:27:50.83
and I will fill
this temple with glory,
00:27:50.87\00:27:53.10
says the Lord of hosts."
00:27:53.13\00:27:54.67
Verse 8, "The silver is
mine and the gold is mine,
00:27:54.70\00:27:56.81
says the Lord.
00:27:56.84\00:27:58.17
The glory of the latter temple
00:27:58.21\00:27:59.74
shall be
greater than the former,
00:27:59.77\00:28:01.71
says the Lord of hosts.
00:28:01.74\00:28:03.21
And in this place
I will give peace,
00:28:03.24\00:28:05.55
says the Lord of hosts."
00:28:05.58\00:28:07.42
The day of
Pentecost was an amazing day.
00:28:07.45\00:28:10.32
But the former shall be
more glorious than the latter.
00:28:10.35\00:28:13.72
That's right.
00:28:13.76\00:28:15.09
It was located in Jerusalem,
but when the glory of God
00:28:15.12\00:28:17.53
is revealed in
the end time shaking,
00:28:17.56\00:28:19.53
it is going to be global.
00:28:19.56\00:28:20.90
The glory of God,
Isaiah 60, "Arise, shine,
00:28:20.93\00:28:24.50
for the light has come
and the glory of the Lord
00:28:24.53\00:28:27.14
shall be risen
upon you at a time
00:28:27.17\00:28:29.54
when darkness covers the earth."
00:28:29.57\00:28:31.14
So let's look at
one of the examples
00:28:31.17\00:28:32.54
of how throughout history,
00:28:32.57\00:28:34.81
that God's presence
was noted by the shaking.
00:28:34.84\00:28:38.15
You find in Judges
5:20, this is an example
00:28:38.18\00:28:42.58
when God fought on
behalf of His people.
00:28:42.62\00:28:46.69
It shows that when God
shows up to deliver His people,
00:28:46.72\00:28:49.09
when Deborah and
Barak fought against Sisera,
00:28:49.12\00:28:52.06
God fought from the
heavens on their behalf.
00:28:52.09\00:28:55.13
Judges 5:20, "They
fought from the heavens,
00:28:55.16\00:28:58.60
the stars, from their
courses, fought against Sisera."
00:28:58.63\00:29:03.87
That's God using nature to
fight in behalf of His people.
00:29:03.91\00:29:08.61
You know, the fire by day,
the pillar of cloud by day,
00:29:08.64\00:29:11.78
the fire by night,
00:29:11.81\00:29:13.15
God uses nature to
fight in behalf of His people.
00:29:13.18\00:29:17.02
And this is emphasized
once more in Judges 5:4-5,
00:29:17.05\00:29:22.26
indicating now, this
shaking is a reference
00:29:22.29\00:29:26.23
to the presence of
God being revealed.
00:29:26.26\00:29:29.06
Judges 5:4-5,
00:29:29.10\00:29:31.47
"Lord, when you
went out from Seir,
00:29:31.50\00:29:34.94
when you marched
from the field of Edom,
00:29:34.97\00:29:37.81
the earth trembled,
and the heavens poured.
00:29:37.84\00:29:41.48
The clouds also poured water,
00:29:41.51\00:29:43.78
the mountains
gush before the Lord.
00:29:43.81\00:29:46.75
This Sinai, before
the Lord God of Israel."
00:29:46.78\00:29:50.49
So, we find
clearly the presence of God
00:29:50.52\00:29:52.92
thundering as James uses.
00:29:52.95\00:29:54.79
You know, when God walks,
when God's presence is near.
00:29:54.82\00:29:57.93
Another Bible writer, I
think it's the Book of Micah,
00:29:57.96\00:29:59.76
he says, "The clouds
are the dust of God's feet."
00:29:59.79\00:30:04.10
And so, when we see
the presence of God,
00:30:04.13\00:30:06.23
we see that nature
participates in introducing God,
00:30:06.27\00:30:10.21
when He steps in
on behalf of humanity.
00:30:10.24\00:30:12.84
We also find in
the third example,
00:30:12.87\00:30:15.41
the Lord stepping in
and thundering the heavens,
00:30:15.44\00:30:19.51
to deliver His oppressed people.
00:30:19.55\00:30:21.78
Psalm 68:7-8,
00:30:21.82\00:30:24.39
"Oh, God, when You
went out before Your people,
00:30:24.42\00:30:27.72
when You marched
through the wilderness Selah,
00:30:27.76\00:30:31.19
the earth shook.
00:30:31.23\00:30:32.56
The heavens also dropped
rain at the presence of God.
00:30:32.59\00:30:35.40
Sinai itself was moved
at the presence of God,
00:30:35.43\00:30:39.47
the God of Israel."
00:30:39.50\00:30:42.20
We find that
happening in the experience
00:30:42.24\00:30:44.11
of the children
in the wilderness.
00:30:44.14\00:30:45.71
Then we go to number
four, Psalms 96:9-10,
00:30:45.74\00:30:48.81
the shaking
signal God's judgment,
00:30:48.84\00:30:50.85
as He asserts His
authority on the earth in behalf
00:30:50.88\00:30:54.82
of His people once again.
00:30:54.85\00:30:56.38
And the prophet
predicted this would happen.
00:30:56.42\00:30:58.35
Psalms 96:9,
00:30:58.39\00:31:00.32
"I worship the Lord in
the beauty of holiness,
00:31:00.36\00:31:02.59
tremble before
Him all the earth."
00:31:02.62\00:31:04.89
Verse 10, "Say among the
nations, the Lord reigns.
00:31:04.93\00:31:09.03
The world also is
firmly established,
00:31:09.06\00:31:11.70
it shall not be moved.
00:31:11.73\00:31:13.44
He shall judge the
people righteously."
00:31:13.47\00:31:17.61
And then we find
that the Lord uses shaking
00:31:17.64\00:31:22.68
of the heavens and the earth
to destroy the enemies of God.
00:31:22.71\00:31:26.65
This is what God promised
at the enthronement of Jesus.
00:31:26.68\00:31:30.29
Look at Hebrews 1:13.
00:31:30.32\00:31:33.32
Hebrews 1:13,
00:31:33.36\00:31:36.42
"But to which of the
angels has He ever said,
00:31:36.46\00:31:39.43
sit at my right hand,
00:31:39.46\00:31:41.50
till I make your
enemies your footstool."
00:31:41.53\00:31:44.93
And this is what
God is going to do,
00:31:44.97\00:31:47.04
He's going to shake the heavens.
00:31:47.07\00:31:48.57
You'll find at the
enthronement of Jesus,
00:31:48.60\00:31:50.87
there would be signaling
that the presence of God
00:31:50.91\00:31:55.24
is stepping to the forefront,
00:31:55.28\00:31:56.81
indicating the
enthronement of Christ.
00:31:56.85\00:31:59.21
We also find in
Hebrews 2:14 and 16,
00:31:59.25\00:32:02.52
the Bible talks about the defeat
00:32:02.55\00:32:04.22
of the enemy of God.
00:32:04.25\00:32:05.99
And this one doesn't use
the word shaking much in it,
00:32:06.02\00:32:10.83
but it's a reference
back to the presence of God
00:32:10.86\00:32:13.03
being invoked in behalf of
His people delivering them.
00:32:13.06\00:32:17.13
And in this case,
00:32:17.17\00:32:18.50
instead of this
being a physical shaking,
00:32:18.53\00:32:20.24
it is shaking the
kingdom of darkness.
00:32:20.27\00:32:22.50
Hebrews 2:14 and 16,
00:32:22.54\00:32:24.81
"Inasmuch then as the
children have partaken
00:32:24.84\00:32:26.98
of flesh and blood,
00:32:27.01\00:32:28.34
He Himself
likewise shared in the same,
00:32:28.38\00:32:30.98
that through death
He might destroy him
00:32:31.01\00:32:33.11
who had the power of
death, that is, the devil,
00:32:33.15\00:32:35.48
and release those
who through fear of death
00:32:35.52\00:32:37.92
were all their
lifetime subject to bondage."
00:32:37.95\00:32:40.82
Verse 16, "For indeed,
00:32:40.86\00:32:42.89
He does not give aid to angels,
00:32:42.92\00:32:46.29
but He does give aid
to the seed of Abraham."
00:32:46.33\00:32:48.66
Amen.
00:32:48.70\00:32:50.03
He's fighting on
behalf of the people of God,
00:32:50.07\00:32:51.40
He's fighting in
behalf of His children.
00:32:51.43\00:32:54.04
Now, let's move down
to the time of the end.
00:32:54.07\00:32:56.71
We also go to Luke 21:25 and 26.
00:32:56.74\00:33:00.61
This shaking is a
sign from God signaling
00:33:00.64\00:33:04.05
the inhabitants of the earth,
00:33:04.08\00:33:06.55
that we are
approaching the time of the end,
00:33:06.58\00:33:09.02
living in the time of the end.
00:33:09.05\00:33:11.79
Luke 21:25 and 26,
00:33:11.82\00:33:14.66
"And there will
be signs in the sun,
00:33:14.69\00:33:16.89
in the moon, and in the stars,
00:33:16.93\00:33:20.13
and on the earth distress
of nations with perplexity,
00:33:20.16\00:33:23.90
the sea and the waves roaring."
00:33:23.93\00:33:26.43
Verse 26, "Men's
hearts failing them from fear
00:33:26.47\00:33:31.44
and the
expectation of those things
00:33:31.47\00:33:33.11
which are coming
on the earth," why?
00:33:33.14\00:33:35.18
"For the powers of the
heavens will be shaken."
00:33:35.21\00:33:39.71
God is signaling
earth and its inhabitants
00:33:39.75\00:33:41.95
that the time of My return,
00:33:41.98\00:33:43.82
the time of My
visitation is near,
00:33:43.85\00:33:45.95
and men's hearts are
being drawn to the event,
00:33:45.99\00:33:48.82
shaking men's hearts,
00:33:48.86\00:33:50.19
so they're fearful
of what is coming upon
00:33:50.23\00:33:53.13
the earth in the closing
hours of earth's history.
00:33:53.16\00:33:55.96
Finally, number seven,
00:33:56.00\00:33:58.53
the shaking of the earth happens
00:33:58.57\00:33:59.93
at the appearance
of the return of Jesus.
00:33:59.97\00:34:02.87
Jeremiah 4:26.
00:34:02.90\00:34:04.91
We read these words,
00:34:04.94\00:34:06.51
"I beheld, and
indeed the fruitful land
00:34:06.54\00:34:09.84
was a wilderness,
00:34:09.88\00:34:11.65
and all the
cities were broken down
00:34:11.68\00:34:13.88
at the presence of the
Lord, by His fierce anger."
00:34:13.92\00:34:18.29
You can't break
cities down like New York
00:34:18.32\00:34:20.52
and Chicago and Los Angeles,
00:34:20.56\00:34:22.46
unless there's a whole
lot of shaking going on.
00:34:22.49\00:34:24.93
And so, God is
going to shake the earth.
00:34:24.96\00:34:26.36
All these
fortresses that men have built
00:34:26.39\00:34:28.76
to defy the authority
and the divinity of God
00:34:28.80\00:34:31.33
will come crumbling down.
00:34:31.37\00:34:32.93
That's why we read
Revelation 6:9 and 10,
00:34:32.97\00:34:35.84
what will their response be?
00:34:35.87\00:34:37.94
Revelation 6:9-11.
00:34:37.97\00:34:40.18
"When He opened the fifth seal,
00:34:40.21\00:34:41.54
I saw under the altar the souls
of those who have been slain
00:34:41.58\00:34:43.95
for the Word of God,
00:34:43.98\00:34:45.31
and for the
testimony which they held.
00:34:45.35\00:34:47.52
And they cried with
a loud voice, saying,
00:34:47.55\00:34:49.48
'How long, O
Lord, holy and true,
00:34:49.52\00:34:51.52
until You judge and
avenge our blood on those
00:34:51.55\00:34:53.72
who dwell on the earth?"
00:34:53.76\00:34:55.52
And verse 11,
00:34:55.56\00:34:57.13
"Then a white robe
was given to each of them,
00:34:57.16\00:35:01.56
and it was said to them,
00:35:01.60\00:35:02.93
that they should rest
a little while longer,
00:35:02.96\00:35:05.07
until both the number
of their fellow servants
00:35:05.10\00:35:07.84
and their brethren
who would be killed
00:35:07.87\00:35:10.21
as they were, was completed."
00:35:10.24\00:35:12.97
When God steps
forward to avenge His people,
00:35:13.01\00:35:15.84
there will be a whole
lot of shaking going on.
00:35:15.88\00:35:19.51
Amen. Amen.
00:35:19.55\00:35:20.88
Amen, amen.
00:35:20.92\00:35:22.45
Well, I'm John Dinzey, and
I have Wednesday's portion,
00:35:22.48\00:35:25.82
the title is An
Unshakable Kingdom.
00:35:25.85\00:35:28.69
Praise God.
00:35:28.72\00:35:30.66
So, here, in this lesson,
00:35:30.69\00:35:34.86
we have an announcement
that He will shake the heavens
00:35:34.90\00:35:37.30
and the earth, which
means He will destroy
00:35:37.33\00:35:40.24
the enemy nations.
00:35:40.27\00:35:42.67
And we are going to
look at some scriptures
00:35:42.70\00:35:44.97
that talk about
things that cannot be moved.
00:35:45.01\00:35:48.01
Let's look at Psalm 16:8,
00:35:48.04\00:35:50.85
this is one of the scriptures
presented in the lesson.
00:35:50.88\00:35:54.12
It says, "I have set
the Lord always before me,
00:35:54.15\00:35:57.39
because He is at my right
hand, I shall not be moved."
00:35:57.42\00:36:02.49
When we have the Lord with us,
00:36:02.52\00:36:04.46
we shall not be moved.
00:36:04.49\00:36:06.23
Look at Psalm 21:7,
00:36:06.26\00:36:08.23
"For the king
trusts in the Lord,
00:36:08.26\00:36:11.03
and through the
mercy of the Most High,
00:36:11.07\00:36:13.94
he shall not be moved."
00:36:13.97\00:36:15.80
We have to have God
as the one we can trust,
00:36:15.84\00:36:21.54
and we shall not be moved.
00:36:21.58\00:36:22.91
Psalm 62:1-2,
00:36:22.94\00:36:24.58
"Truly, my soul
silently waits for God,
00:36:24.61\00:36:28.38
from Him comes my salvation.
00:36:28.42\00:36:31.62
He only is my
rock and my salvation.
00:36:31.65\00:36:33.92
He is my defense, I
shall not be greatly moved."
00:36:33.96\00:36:38.43
Praise the Lord.
00:36:38.46\00:36:39.79
Psalm 116, Psalm 112,
00:36:39.83\00:36:42.43
now, we go to verse 6, it says,
00:36:42.46\00:36:44.60
"Surely he will never be shaken.
00:36:44.63\00:36:48.27
The righteous will be in
everlasting remembrance."
00:36:48.30\00:36:52.94
Praise the Lord.
That's Psalm 112:6.
00:36:52.97\00:36:56.28
And so now, we
turn to the scripture
00:36:56.31\00:36:58.55
that is the
foundation for this portion,
00:36:58.58\00:37:00.42
it says Hebrews
12:26-27, notice,
00:37:00.45\00:37:04.02
"Whose voice
then shook the earth,
00:37:04.05\00:37:06.89
but now He has promised saying,
00:37:06.92\00:37:09.06
'Yet once more I
shake not only the earth,
00:37:09.09\00:37:11.89
but also heaven."
00:37:11.93\00:37:13.26
Now, this, 'Yet once more,'
00:37:13.29\00:37:15.16
indicates the
removal of those things
00:37:15.20\00:37:17.73
that are being shaken,
as of things that are made,
00:37:17.77\00:37:20.90
that the things which
cannot be shaken will remain."
00:37:20.94\00:37:24.57
The lesson
brings out this thought
00:37:24.61\00:37:26.68
that I like to share
with you, the Bible is clear.
00:37:26.71\00:37:29.44
God will create new
heavens and new earth
00:37:29.48\00:37:33.72
as you see in Isaiah 65:17,
00:37:33.75\00:37:36.28
in Revelation 21:1-4,
00:37:36.32\00:37:39.99
"And we will have
a resurrected body,
00:37:40.02\00:37:43.19
we will be changed."
00:37:43.22\00:37:45.13
You can see that in 1
Thessalonians 4:13-17,
00:37:45.16\00:37:49.60
and I'd like to read to you
from 1 Corinthians Chapter 15,
00:37:49.63\00:37:54.97
beginning in verse
51, this is powerful,
00:37:55.00\00:37:57.51
and we need to
picture this, notice,
00:37:57.54\00:37:59.81
"Behold, I tell you a mystery:
00:37:59.84\00:38:02.18
We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed,"
00:38:02.21\00:38:05.91
talking about the
Christians, "in a moment,
00:38:05.95\00:38:08.45
in the twinkling of an
eye, at the last trumpet.
00:38:08.48\00:38:12.02
For the trumpet will sound
00:38:12.05\00:38:13.96
and the dead will be
raised incorruptible,
00:38:13.99\00:38:16.49
and we shall be changed.
00:38:16.52\00:38:18.19
For this corruptible
must put on in corruption,
00:38:18.23\00:38:21.63
and this mortal
must put on immortality.
00:38:21.66\00:38:25.43
So when this corruptible
has put on in corruption,
00:38:25.47\00:38:27.94
and this mortal
has put on immortality,
00:38:27.97\00:38:30.77
then shall be brought to
pass the saying that is written:
00:38:30.81\00:38:34.01
'Death is
swallowed up in victory.'"
00:38:34.04\00:38:37.68
Praise God.
00:38:37.71\00:38:39.05
And verse 55, "O
Death, where is your sting?
00:38:39.08\00:38:41.25
O Hades, where is your victory?
00:38:41.28\00:38:43.69
The sting of death is sin,
00:38:43.72\00:38:46.22
and the strength
of sin is the law.
00:38:46.25\00:38:48.06
But thanks be to God
00:38:48.09\00:38:50.66
who gives us the victory," how?
00:38:50.69\00:38:53.46
"Through our Lord Jesus Christ."
00:38:53.50\00:38:56.03
Amen. That's right.
00:38:56.06\00:38:57.40
So, as you look
at the scriptures,
00:38:57.43\00:38:59.60
you will notice
as the lesson says,
00:38:59.63\00:39:01.77
that permanence and stability
are associated with Jesus.
00:39:01.80\00:39:06.84
Hebrews 1:10-12
says, "And you, Lord,
00:39:06.88\00:39:10.88
in the beginning laid
the foundation of the earth
00:39:10.91\00:39:14.52
and the heavens are
the work of Your hands.
00:39:14.55\00:39:17.89
They will
perish, but You remain,
00:39:17.92\00:39:20.56
and they will all
grow old like a garment,
00:39:20.59\00:39:23.39
like a cloak You
will fold them up,
00:39:23.43\00:39:25.76
and they shall be
changed, but You are the same,
00:39:25.79\00:39:28.46
and Your years will not fail."
00:39:28.50\00:39:31.90
Praise the Lord.
00:39:31.93\00:39:33.47
Now, concerning
Jesus, the Bible says this,
00:39:33.50\00:39:38.01
it says in Hebrews
7:3, "Without father,
00:39:38.04\00:39:41.24
without mother,
without genealogy,
00:39:41.28\00:39:42.81
having neither
beginning of days,
00:39:42.84\00:39:44.18
nor end of life,
made like the Son of God,
00:39:44.21\00:39:47.95
remains a priest continually."
00:39:47.98\00:39:50.29
Jesus remains a
priest continually.
00:39:50.32\00:39:56.02
Hebrews 7:24-25,
00:39:56.06\00:39:57.99
"But He, because
He continues forever,
00:39:58.03\00:40:01.56
has an unchangeable priesthood.
00:40:01.60\00:40:04.43
Therefore He is also
able to save to the uttermost
00:40:04.47\00:40:08.74
those who come
to God through Him,
00:40:08.77\00:40:10.91
since He always lives to
make intercession for them."
00:40:10.94\00:40:15.51
Oh, this Jesus is the
one that you need to follow.
00:40:15.54\00:40:18.81
This Jesus is the
one who has died for you.
00:40:18.85\00:40:21.28
And this Jesus is the one
who will be coming to take you
00:40:21.32\00:40:24.75
to live eternally with Him.
00:40:24.79\00:40:26.55
Amen.
00:40:26.59\00:40:27.92
Hebrews 12:28, notice,
00:40:27.96\00:40:30.26
"Therefore, since we
are receiving a kingdom
00:40:30.29\00:40:33.26
which cannot be
shaken, let us have grace,
00:40:33.29\00:40:38.43
by which we may serve
God acceptably with reverence
00:40:38.47\00:40:42.64
and godly fear."
00:40:42.67\00:40:44.24
So, this kingdom
that cannot be shaken,
00:40:44.27\00:40:48.44
how is it that
there is such a kingdom,
00:40:48.48\00:40:51.35
promised to God's children?
00:40:51.38\00:40:53.58
I point you to Jesus.
00:40:53.62\00:40:55.35
And in Revelation
12:10, an announcement is made,
00:40:55.38\00:40:59.49
because when
Jesus died on the cross,
00:40:59.52\00:41:01.36
He secured for us salvation,
and He secured for us,
00:41:01.39\00:41:07.00
a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
00:41:07.03\00:41:09.33
Amen.
00:41:09.36\00:41:10.70
Notice Revelation 12:10,
00:41:10.73\00:41:12.07
"Then I heard a loud
voice saying in heaven,
00:41:12.10\00:41:13.80
'Now salvation, and strength,
00:41:13.84\00:41:17.44
and the kingdom of our God,
00:41:17.47\00:41:19.64
and the power of
His Christ have come,
00:41:19.67\00:41:23.41
for the accuser of our brethren,
00:41:23.45\00:41:25.35
who accused them
before our God day and night,
00:41:25.38\00:41:27.95
has been cast down."
00:41:27.98\00:41:30.29
Satan has been defeated."
Satan has been defeated.
00:41:30.32\00:41:34.46
The kingdom belongs to God,
00:41:34.49\00:41:37.13
a kingdom that cannot be shaken,
00:41:37.16\00:41:39.93
and you can be a
part of that kingdom,
00:41:39.96\00:41:42.06
if you give yourself
completely to the Lord,
00:41:42.10\00:41:45.83
accept that sacrifice.
00:41:45.87\00:41:47.94
The word needs to be
spread all over the world.
00:41:47.97\00:41:51.47
And the Bible
says in Matthew 24:14,
00:41:51.51\00:41:53.84
"And this gospel of the kingdom
00:41:53.88\00:41:56.21
shall be
preached in all the world,
00:41:56.24\00:41:59.51
for witness unto all nations,
then the end shall come."
00:41:59.55\00:42:03.52
And when God does away
with all the evil, Satan,
00:42:03.55\00:42:07.09
and all the wicked,
00:42:07.12\00:42:08.69
God's everlasting kingdom
00:42:08.72\00:42:10.96
will be established forever
new heavens and a new earth.
00:42:10.99\00:42:14.36
Now, I want to highlight
some interesting differences
00:42:14.40\00:42:17.30
between the
righteous and the wicked,
00:42:17.33\00:42:20.47
because there's a
difference between the two.
00:42:20.50\00:42:23.20
Notice in Psalm 32:10,
00:42:23.24\00:42:25.47
"Many sorrows
shall be to the wicked,
00:42:25.51\00:42:28.91
but he who trusts in the
Lord, mercy shall surround him."
00:42:28.94\00:42:33.78
Praise the Lord.
00:42:33.82\00:42:35.15
Isaiah 57:20-21,
00:42:35.18\00:42:37.89
"But the wicked are
like the troubled sea,
00:42:37.92\00:42:40.39
when it cannot rest,
00:42:40.42\00:42:42.02
whose waters
cast up mire and dirt.
00:42:42.06\00:42:44.99
There is no peace, says
My God, for the wicked."
00:42:45.03\00:42:49.43
There's no peace for the wicked.
00:42:49.46\00:42:50.97
There cannot be
peace for the wicked.
00:42:51.00\00:42:53.03
But notice Isaiah 26:3-4.
00:42:53.07\00:42:55.70
This is a blessing for
God's children here and forever.
00:42:55.74\00:42:58.91
"You will keep
him in perfect peace,
00:42:58.94\00:43:00.78
whose mind is stayed on
You, because he trusts in You.
00:43:00.81\00:43:04.11
Trust in the Lord
forever, for in Jehovah,
00:43:04.15\00:43:08.08
the Lord is
everlasting strength."
00:43:08.12\00:43:10.49
Praise the Lord.
00:43:10.52\00:43:11.85
Job 20:4-5, "Do you
not know this of old,
00:43:11.89\00:43:15.96
since man was placed on earth,
00:43:15.99\00:43:18.89
that the triumphing
of the wicked is short?"
00:43:18.93\00:43:22.36
Praise the Lord.
00:43:22.40\00:43:23.80
"And the joy of the
hypocrite is but for a moment."
00:43:23.83\00:43:27.90
But notice Psalm 37:29,
00:43:27.94\00:43:30.64
"The righteous
shall inherit the land
00:43:30.67\00:43:33.27
and dwell in it forever."
00:43:33.31\00:43:35.68
That's right. Praise God.
00:43:35.71\00:43:37.51
Notice now, Psalm 37:20,
"But the wicked shall perish,
00:43:37.55\00:43:42.95
and the enemies of the Lord,
00:43:42.98\00:43:44.72
like the
splendor of the meadows,
00:43:44.75\00:43:46.62
shall vanish.
00:43:46.65\00:43:47.99
Into smoke they
shall vanish away."
00:43:48.02\00:43:52.26
Praise the
Lord. Praise the Lord.
00:43:52.29\00:43:54.46
John 10:27-28,
00:43:54.50\00:43:57.50
"My sheep hear my voice,
00:43:57.53\00:43:59.80
and I know them
and they follow Me.
00:43:59.83\00:44:03.07
And I give them eternal life,
00:44:03.10\00:44:06.17
and they shall never perish,
00:44:06.21\00:44:07.94
neither shall anyone
snatch them out of My hand."
00:44:07.98\00:44:12.28
Jesus Christ,
as the Lamb of God,
00:44:12.31\00:44:17.39
died for us on the cross.
00:44:17.42\00:44:19.09
He is our high priest,
00:44:19.12\00:44:20.46
ministering in the
Most Holy Place in heaven.
00:44:20.49\00:44:23.32
He has, for you and
me, an unshakable kingdom,
00:44:23.36\00:44:27.60
a kingdom that will last forever
00:44:27.63\00:44:30.47
and ever and ever.
00:44:30.50\00:44:31.83
And today, the door
of mercy is still open.
00:44:31.87\00:44:34.10
And I encourage you if you
have not made your decision,
00:44:34.14\00:44:36.81
if you have not
placed your trust
00:44:36.84\00:44:39.07
and your life in the
hands of the Lord, do it.
00:44:39.11\00:44:42.84
Don't let the moment pass by,
00:44:42.88\00:44:44.81
because we need
to have our salvation
00:44:44.85\00:44:48.35
secured in Jesus Christ.
00:44:48.38\00:44:51.09
Satan is as a roaring lion,
seeking whom he may devour.
00:44:51.12\00:44:54.96
And you have the opportunity now
00:44:54.99\00:44:56.99
to give your heart to
the Lord Jesus Christ,
00:44:57.03\00:44:59.06
so you can be part of
that unshakable kingdom.
00:44:59.09\00:45:02.80
And so, take the
opportunity while you have it.
00:45:02.83\00:45:05.63
Don't wait for another moment,
00:45:05.67\00:45:07.77
because you are not
promised another moment.
00:45:07.80\00:45:10.37
So, I encourage you to
take Jesus as your savior,
00:45:10.41\00:45:13.91
and allow Him to lead
and guide in your life,
00:45:13.94\00:45:16.38
so that you can have peace
00:45:16.41\00:45:17.88
and live eternally
throughout or without end.
00:45:17.91\00:45:22.18
Amen. Amen
00:45:22.22\00:45:23.59
Amen. Praise the Lord.
00:45:23.62\00:45:24.95
Thank you, Pastor Dinzey.
00:45:24.99\00:45:26.32
I love that, The
Unshakable Kingdom.
00:45:26.35\00:45:27.72
My name is Ryan Day,
00:45:27.76\00:45:29.09
I have Thursday's lesson
entitled, Let Us Be Grateful.
00:45:29.12\00:45:32.79
And, of course,
the lesson brings out
00:45:32.83\00:45:34.60
that Hebrews concludes
the section by pointing out
00:45:34.63\00:45:38.00
the appropriate response to
God for all the wonderful things
00:45:38.03\00:45:41.97
He has done for
us to show gratitude,
00:45:42.00\00:45:44.87
by offering Him an
appropriate type of worship.
00:45:44.91\00:45:49.71
This is important.
00:45:49.74\00:45:51.08
Showing gratitude is showing
an appropriate type of worship.
00:45:51.11\00:45:54.38
Of course, this is
building on Hebrews 12:28,
00:45:54.42\00:45:57.75
we've read it a couple of times,
00:45:57.79\00:45:59.12
let's read it
again. Hebrews 12:28.
00:45:59.15\00:46:01.49
The Bible says, "Therefore,
00:46:01.52\00:46:03.12
since we are receiving a kingdom
00:46:03.16\00:46:04.69
which cannot be
shaken, let us have grace,
00:46:04.73\00:46:08.16
by which we may serve
God acceptably with reverence
00:46:08.20\00:46:11.90
and godly fear."
00:46:11.93\00:46:14.34
And then, of course,
also Hebrews 13:15-16,
00:46:14.37\00:46:18.21
with that, notice
what Hebrews 13:15-16 says,
00:46:18.24\00:46:21.91
"Therefore by Him,
let us continually offer
00:46:21.94\00:46:24.21
the sacrifice of praise to God,
00:46:24.25\00:46:26.88
that is, the fruit of our
lips, giving thanks to His name.
00:46:26.92\00:46:30.99
But do not forget to
do good and to share,
00:46:31.02\00:46:34.09
for with such
sacrifices God is well pleased."
00:46:34.12\00:46:39.69
In the Old Covenant system,
00:46:39.73\00:46:42.53
the sacrifice of
animals was the way
00:46:42.56\00:46:44.40
people showed
repentance and gratitude.
00:46:44.43\00:46:46.84
But these sacrifices were
to be but a token of gratitude
00:46:46.87\00:46:50.47
and repentance in the
heart of the worshiper.
00:46:50.51\00:46:53.01
Thus, God made
clear in the Psalms
00:46:53.04\00:46:55.18
and through the prophets,
00:46:55.21\00:46:56.54
that what really pleased Him
was not the blood of animals,
00:46:56.58\00:46:59.65
but of the
gratitude, good deeds,
00:46:59.68\00:47:03.22
and
righteousness of the worshiper.
00:47:03.25\00:47:04.95
We see this in Psalm 50:7-23,
00:47:04.99\00:47:08.32
as well as Isaiah 1:11-17.
00:47:08.36\00:47:12.19
And, of course, I just want
to highlight Isaiah 1:16-17,
00:47:12.23\00:47:15.73
because the Lord says there,
He says, "Wash yourselves,
00:47:15.76\00:47:18.73
make yourselves clean,
00:47:18.77\00:47:20.37
put away the evil of
your doings before my eyes,
00:47:20.40\00:47:25.21
cease to do evil, learn
to do good, seek justice,
00:47:25.24\00:47:29.11
rebuke the oppressor,
defend the fatherless,
00:47:29.14\00:47:32.35
plead for the widow."
00:47:32.38\00:47:34.82
These are the
things that please God,
00:47:34.85\00:47:36.89
these are the things
that show forth true worship
00:47:36.92\00:47:39.55
and gratitude towards our God.
00:47:39.59\00:47:41.12
These are the things
that catches God's eye.
00:47:41.16\00:47:43.66
Thus, Paul invites us
00:47:43.69\00:47:45.39
to worship God in
the heavenly sanctuary
00:47:45.43\00:47:47.70
by offering
sacrifices of praise,
00:47:47.73\00:47:50.37
confession,
thanksgiving, and good works,
00:47:50.40\00:47:53.54
which is true
worship that delights Him.
00:47:53.57\00:47:56.30
And I just want to take time
00:47:56.34\00:47:57.67
to just highlight
each one of those elements,
00:47:57.71\00:47:59.04
because when we think
of worship oftentimes,
00:47:59.07\00:48:00.94
we think of the actions
that we do, and you know,
00:48:00.98\00:48:03.81
maybe, you know,
extending of the hands,
00:48:03.85\00:48:06.41
or maybe a
prayerful type of declaration.
00:48:06.45\00:48:09.35
All of these things are forms
of worship, they are actions.
00:48:09.38\00:48:12.15
A lot of times we get
the liturgy of services
00:48:12.19\00:48:15.29
confused with worship.
00:48:15.32\00:48:16.89
These are
expressions of worship.
00:48:16.93\00:48:18.26
But, my friends, at
the end of the day worship
00:48:18.29\00:48:19.93
is the attitude of their heart.
00:48:19.96\00:48:21.73
And there are
many different forms
00:48:21.76\00:48:23.16
in which we can communicate,
00:48:23.20\00:48:24.53
express our worship to the Lord.
00:48:24.57\00:48:27.14
We have mentioned
this a few times already,
00:48:27.17\00:48:28.94
but praising God,
just simply offering up.
00:48:28.97\00:48:31.91
How often do you praise God?
00:48:31.94\00:48:33.81
Do you praise God as you should?
00:48:33.84\00:48:36.21
Psalm 103:1, "Bless
the Lord, oh, my soul,
00:48:36.24\00:48:40.65
and all that is within
me, bless His holy name."
00:48:40.68\00:48:44.69
I had the privilege of
working with many pastors
00:48:44.72\00:48:47.66
over the years, but, you know,
00:48:47.69\00:48:49.12
one particular
pastor comes to mind.
00:48:49.16\00:48:50.69
I'm spending time as I was at
00:48:50.73\00:48:52.36
an evangelistic series with him,
00:48:52.39\00:48:53.73
and this brother, I mean,
00:48:53.76\00:48:55.10
he would walk around randomly,
00:48:55.13\00:48:56.46
in all kinds of
different points of the time
00:48:56.50\00:48:58.33
of the day, and he
would say, "Halleluiah."
00:48:58.37\00:49:00.90
Walking by, we'd be
at the dinner table,
00:49:00.94\00:49:02.90
and this brother
mid bite would just say,
00:49:02.94\00:49:04.84
"Praise His holy name."
00:49:04.87\00:49:06.47
And he would just offer
up praises all the time.
00:49:06.51\00:49:08.88
And there will be
times he didn't even know
00:49:08.91\00:49:10.65
I was in the next
room, or in the house,
00:49:10.68\00:49:12.45
and you would hear him walking
through the house saying,
00:49:12.48\00:49:14.32
"Glory be to God."
00:49:14.35\00:49:16.55
I mean, this brother was
genuine in his praise for God
00:49:16.58\00:49:18.99
and it let me
know, you know what,
00:49:19.02\00:49:20.36
I need to worship God more.
00:49:20.39\00:49:21.72
I need to praise God more. Why?
00:49:21.76\00:49:23.22
Because the Bible says
He is worthy to be praised.
00:49:23.26\00:49:26.53
He is our creator,
Psalm 9:2, or excuse me,
00:49:26.56\00:49:30.20
Psalm 9:1-2, it says,
00:49:30.23\00:49:32.63
"I will praise You, O
Lord, with my whole heart,
00:49:32.67\00:49:35.57
I will tell all of
Your marvelous works.
00:49:35.60\00:49:37.84
I will be glad
and rejoice in You,
00:49:37.87\00:49:39.54
I will sing praise to Your name,
00:49:39.57\00:49:42.34
O Most High."
00:49:42.38\00:49:43.71
There are so
many different texts
00:49:43.75\00:49:45.08
that we could talk about
in reference of praising God,
00:49:45.11\00:49:47.05
but when you praise God,
00:49:47.08\00:49:48.55
you are showing your
gratitude towards Him.
00:49:48.58\00:49:50.79
You are giving Him worship,
the worship that pleases Him.
00:49:50.82\00:49:54.32
Also thanksgiving,
expressing thanksgiving,
00:49:54.36\00:49:58.19
which is a little,
it's different than praise.
00:49:58.23\00:49:59.83
You're giving
thanks to God for who He is
00:49:59.86\00:50:02.00
and what He's done for you.
00:50:02.03\00:50:03.37
1 Thessalonians
5:16-18, I love this, it says,
00:50:03.40\00:50:07.57
"Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing.
00:50:07.60\00:50:10.64
In everything," what
is that word there again?
00:50:10.67\00:50:13.04
Give thanks. Give thanks.
00:50:13.07\00:50:14.71
"In everything give thanks,
00:50:14.74\00:50:16.28
for this is the will of
God in Christ Jesus for you."
00:50:16.31\00:50:20.48
1 Chronicles 16:34,
00:50:20.52\00:50:22.28
"Oh, give thanks to
the Lord, for He is good,
00:50:22.32\00:50:24.95
for His mercy endures forever."
00:50:24.99\00:50:28.09
And another great text,
I'm not going to read it
00:50:28.12\00:50:29.59
for sake of time
here, but Philippians 4:4-7.
00:50:29.62\00:50:33.43
My friends, when we give
and express our thanks to God,
00:50:33.46\00:50:36.00
we're showing our
gratitude towards Him
00:50:36.03\00:50:38.23
because He indeed is worthy.
00:50:38.27\00:50:40.54
We show forth worship,
00:50:40.57\00:50:42.20
we communicate our
gratitude through the good works
00:50:42.24\00:50:45.27
that we do for God.
00:50:45.31\00:50:46.98
Ephesians 2:8-10.
00:50:47.01\00:50:49.14
We know the words too well,
00:50:49.18\00:50:50.71
"For by grace you have
been saved through faith,
00:50:50.75\00:50:53.15
and that not of yourselves,
00:50:53.18\00:50:54.52
it is the gift of
God, not of works,
00:50:54.55\00:50:56.48
lest anyone should boast."
00:50:56.52\00:50:57.85
And many people
stop right there.
00:50:57.89\00:50:59.52
They don't read verse 10.
00:50:59.55\00:51:00.89
Verse 10 is tacked on,
00:51:00.92\00:51:02.29
right on with
these previous verses.
00:51:02.32\00:51:03.99
Yes, we are not
saved by our works.
00:51:04.03\00:51:06.06
We're saved by the grace
of God through faith in Him.
00:51:06.09\00:51:09.63
But make no mistake, my friends.
00:51:09.66\00:51:11.00
Verse 10 says, "For
we are His workmanship,
00:51:11.03\00:51:13.74
created in Christ
Jesus for good works,
00:51:13.77\00:51:17.47
which God prepared beforehand
00:51:17.51\00:51:18.84
that we should walk in them."
00:51:18.87\00:51:20.51
It is God's plan.
00:51:20.54\00:51:22.14
It's His will for
us to do good works.
00:51:22.18\00:51:24.41
It's His will that
we do these things,
00:51:24.45\00:51:26.61
not because it saves us,
00:51:26.65\00:51:28.32
because it shows forth
our relationship with Him.
00:51:28.35\00:51:31.25
It shows forth that the
genuineness of our faith
00:51:31.29\00:51:33.82
is pure in our gratitude,
and our worship in Him.
00:51:33.86\00:51:37.39
James 2:14-17 says,
00:51:37.43\00:51:40.20
"What does it
profit, my brethren,
00:51:40.23\00:51:42.00
if someone says
that he has faith
00:51:42.03\00:51:43.70
but does not have works?
00:51:43.73\00:51:45.37
Can faith save him?
00:51:45.40\00:51:46.94
If a brother or sister..."
00:51:46.97\00:51:48.30
Now, it gets down
to the nitty-gritty,
00:51:48.34\00:51:49.94
"If a brother or sister is naked
00:51:49.97\00:51:51.87
and destitute of daily food,
00:51:51.91\00:51:53.68
and one of you says to
them, 'Depart in peace,
00:51:53.71\00:51:56.21
and be warmed and filled,
00:51:56.24\00:51:57.65
but you do not
give them the things
00:51:57.68\00:51:59.08
which are needed for the
body, what does it profit?"
00:51:59.11\00:52:01.62
And then in verse 17,
"Thus also faith by itself,
00:52:01.65\00:52:05.95
if it does not
have works, it is dead."
00:52:05.99\00:52:08.66
You can say all day long,
and just like Christ said,
00:52:08.69\00:52:10.83
"They draw nigh to
me with their lips,
00:52:10.86\00:52:12.69
but their heart is far from Me."
00:52:12.73\00:52:14.50
Do you have a worshipful heart?
00:52:14.53\00:52:16.43
Does your works tell the story,
00:52:16.46\00:52:19.13
the reality of
your faith in God?
00:52:19.17\00:52:21.37
Because when we see our brothers
00:52:21.40\00:52:22.77
and sisters in need,
00:52:22.80\00:52:24.14
how we relate to our
brothers and sisters,
00:52:24.17\00:52:26.41
how we show
forth our love for them
00:52:26.44\00:52:28.28
shows how much of the
love of God is in our heart,
00:52:28.31\00:52:31.31
and how much of that
worship we give to Him.
00:52:31.35\00:52:33.42
John 15:12-13,
"This is My commandment,"
00:52:33.45\00:52:35.88
Jesus says, "that
you love one another
00:52:35.92\00:52:38.12
as I have loved you.
00:52:38.15\00:52:39.49
Greater love
has no one than this
00:52:39.52\00:52:41.02
that they lay down
one's life for his brother."
00:52:41.06\00:52:44.69
Repentance and confession.
00:52:44.73\00:52:46.39
This is crucial.
00:52:46.43\00:52:47.76
When you repent,
00:52:47.80\00:52:49.13
when you're in a
state of repentance,
00:52:49.16\00:52:50.50
and you're
confessing before the Lord,
00:52:50.53\00:52:51.87
you're expressing your gratitude
00:52:51.90\00:52:53.23
for what He has done for you.
00:52:53.27\00:52:54.60
You're expressing a
form of worship to Him.
00:52:54.64\00:52:57.51
2 Chronicles 7:14, one
of my favorite texts. Yeah.
00:52:57.54\00:53:01.01
"If my people who
are called by My name
00:53:01.04\00:53:02.91
will humble themselves
and pray, and seek My face,
00:53:02.94\00:53:06.98
and turn from their wicked ways,
00:53:07.02\00:53:08.68
then will I hear from heaven
and will forgive their sin
00:53:08.72\00:53:12.09
and heal their land."
00:53:12.12\00:53:13.99
1 John 1:8-10,
00:53:14.02\00:53:16.12
is that gospel sandwich
00:53:16.16\00:53:18.16
we learned about
in previous lessons,
00:53:18.19\00:53:19.96
"If we say that we have no sin,
00:53:20.00\00:53:21.46
we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us.
00:53:21.50\00:53:24.60
If we confess our sins,
00:53:24.63\00:53:25.97
He is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins
00:53:26.00\00:53:29.14
and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.
00:53:29.17\00:53:30.81
If we say that we have
not sin, we make Him a liar,
00:53:30.84\00:53:33.71
and His word is not in us."
00:53:33.74\00:53:35.48
Is the Word of God in you?
00:53:35.51\00:53:37.45
Do you have the
heart of the Savior?
00:53:37.48\00:53:39.31
Are you expressing that
worship and that gratitude
00:53:39.35\00:53:41.85
through the form of
repentance and forgiveness
00:53:41.88\00:53:45.09
because of what
Christ has done for you?
00:53:45.12\00:53:47.26
That's what the
lesson is talking about.
00:53:47.29\00:53:49.26
Obedience.
00:53:49.29\00:53:50.89
This is one of
the greatest forms,
00:53:50.93\00:53:52.53
the highest form of worship.
00:53:52.56\00:53:53.96
Obedience.
00:53:54.00\00:53:55.46
Acts 5:32,
00:53:55.50\00:53:56.97
"And we are His
witnesses of these things.
00:53:57.00\00:53:59.27
And so, also is the Holy Spirit,
00:53:59.30\00:54:01.04
whom God has given
to those who obey Him.
00:54:01.07\00:54:04.61
"If you are purposely
willfully not obeying God,
00:54:04.64\00:54:09.34
my friends, there's no evidence
00:54:09.38\00:54:10.71
of the Holy
Spirit's work in your life
00:54:10.75\00:54:12.31
because you have
rejected the Holy Spirit.
00:54:12.35\00:54:14.95
That's why Jesus
said in John 14:15,
00:54:14.98\00:54:17.39
we've heard it too many times,
00:54:17.42\00:54:18.99
"If you love Me,
keep My commandments."
00:54:19.02\00:54:22.29
It's all based on a
relationship of love.
00:54:22.32\00:54:24.69
Even Jesus said in Luke 6:46,
"But why do you call Me Lord,
00:54:24.73\00:54:30.07
Lord, and do not do
the things which I say?"
00:54:30.10\00:54:34.00
Jesus is looking
for genuine Christians,
00:54:34.04\00:54:37.07
genuine
followers, genuine disciples,
00:54:37.11\00:54:40.31
who are expressing by
their works by the attitude
00:54:40.34\00:54:43.18
of their heart,
their worship for Him,
00:54:43.21\00:54:45.21
their gratefulness,
their thankfulness,
00:54:45.25\00:54:46.98
their praise, it shows
forth and tells the story
00:54:47.02\00:54:49.85
of the
genuineness of their faith.
00:54:49.88\00:54:51.95
That's why I love 1 John 5:3,
00:54:51.99\00:54:54.06
because we don't obey God
because it gains us salvation,
00:54:54.09\00:54:58.33
we obey Him because we love Him.
00:54:58.36\00:54:59.86
We obey Him
because He has saved us.
00:54:59.89\00:55:01.66
We obey Him
because He is worthy.
00:55:01.70\00:55:04.17
He is the God of the universe.
00:55:04.20\00:55:06.13
1 John 5:3,
00:55:06.17\00:55:07.77
"For this is the love of God
that we keep His commandments,
00:55:07.80\00:55:11.87
and His commandments
are not burdensome."
00:55:11.91\00:55:14.61
We don't serve a
God that burdens us,
00:55:14.64\00:55:16.68
we serve a God who has saved us.
00:55:16.71\00:55:18.61
Are you grateful for His love?
00:55:18.65\00:55:20.55
Are you grateful
for that God of love?
00:55:20.58\00:55:23.39
Show forth that love today.
00:55:23.42\00:55:25.52
Give praise to Him.
00:55:25.55\00:55:27.36
Give honor to our King. Amen.
00:55:27.39\00:55:30.19
Thank you so much.
00:55:30.23\00:55:31.83
I love that, because worship
is so much deeper than we think.
00:55:31.86\00:55:35.43
Thank you so much
Pastor Ryan, Pastor Johnny,
00:55:35.46\00:55:38.27
Pastor John and Pastor James,
00:55:38.30\00:55:39.63
thank you for
the study this week.
00:55:39.67\00:55:41.74
My heart has been so blessed.
00:55:41.77\00:55:43.27
Want to give each
one of you a moment,
00:55:43.30\00:55:44.94
share something about the week.
00:55:44.97\00:55:46.54
Well, thank you, Jill.
00:55:46.57\00:55:47.91
It's been a blessing to be
on this particular program.
00:55:47.94\00:55:49.91
Isaiah 54:17,
00:55:49.94\00:55:52.45
just to summarize a little bit
00:55:52.48\00:55:53.88
of what we have
been talking about,
00:55:53.92\00:55:55.28
"No weapon that is
formed against me shall prosper,
00:55:55.32\00:55:58.65
and every tongue that shall rise
00:55:58.69\00:56:00.76
against thee in
judgment, thou shall condemn.
00:56:00.79\00:56:04.93
This is the heritage,
00:56:04.96\00:56:06.96
the inheritance of
the servants of the Lord,
00:56:07.00\00:56:09.23
and their
righteousness is of Me,
00:56:09.26\00:56:11.27
says the Lord."
00:56:11.30\00:56:12.63
Amen. That's right.
00:56:12.67\00:56:14.00
And we're living in
times that are going
00:56:14.04\00:56:15.37
to challenge our spiritual
walk but I end with the words
00:56:15.40\00:56:17.34
of the Apostle Paul
in 2 Thessalonians 2:2,
00:56:17.37\00:56:20.11
He says, "Not to be
soon shaken in mind,
00:56:20.14\00:56:23.35
or troubled, neither
by spirit, or by word,
00:56:23.38\00:56:27.02
or by letter, as if from us,
00:56:27.05\00:56:29.32
as though the day
of Christ had come,
00:56:29.35\00:56:31.79
the day is coming,
but until that day,
00:56:31.82\00:56:33.99
do not allow the
things of this world,
00:56:34.02\00:56:36.76
the challenges of
life to shake your faith."
00:56:36.79\00:56:39.33
Amen. Amen.
00:56:39.36\00:56:40.70
Amen.
00:56:40.73\00:56:42.06
And I would like to
share from 1 Corinthians 2:9,
00:56:42.10\00:56:44.90
"But as it is written,
00:56:44.93\00:56:46.27
eyes have not
seen nor ear heard,
00:56:46.30\00:56:48.57
nor have entered
into the heart of man,
00:56:48.60\00:56:50.51
the things
which God has prepared
00:56:50.54\00:56:52.27
for those who love Him."
00:56:52.31\00:56:53.98
You can be a part of
that unshakable kingdom
00:56:54.01\00:56:56.11
and the things that
God has prepared for us,
00:56:56.14\00:56:58.01
you cannot even imagine.
00:56:58.05\00:56:59.68
Amen. Praise the Lord.
00:56:59.71\00:57:01.18
Psalm 63:3-4 says,
00:57:01.22\00:57:04.32
"Because Your loving
kindness is better than life,
00:57:04.35\00:57:09.39
my lips shall praise You.
00:57:09.42\00:57:11.66
Thus, I will
bless you while I live.
00:57:11.69\00:57:14.16
I will lift up my
hands in Your name."
00:57:14.20\00:57:17.13
Right there, if Danny Shelton
was here right now, he'd say,
00:57:17.17\00:57:18.93
"That's a two-hander."
Praise the Lord, oh my soul.
00:57:18.97\00:57:22.34
Amen.
00:57:22.37\00:57:24.24
It's been an incredible journey
through the Book of Hebrews.
00:57:24.27\00:57:26.91
It's not done, there
is one more week left.
00:57:26.94\00:57:30.75
Next week, lesson number 13.
00:57:30.78\00:57:32.38
The title is Let
Brotherly Love Continue.
00:57:32.41\00:57:36.08
I want to remind you
that we can't change the time.
00:57:36.12\00:57:39.65
We can't change where we live,
00:57:39.69\00:57:42.02
but we can change our
response and our experience.
00:57:42.06\00:57:46.09
We are under the New Covenant,
praise the Lord for that.
00:57:46.13\00:57:49.90
But we have a choice to
make each and every day.
00:57:49.93\00:57:53.44
Are we going to walk in that
00:57:53.47\00:57:55.00
New Covenant
experience with Jesus?
00:57:55.04\00:57:57.77
Are we going to experience Him?
00:57:57.81\00:58:00.08
Are we going to walk in
the Old Covenant experience?
00:58:00.11\00:58:02.61
The choice, my
friends, is yours.
00:58:02.64\00:58:04.61
