instructed Israel,

Pentecost
celebrated the barley harvest,

and by the time
of the New Testament,

it was associated
with the giving of the Law

at Sinai,

the Feast of
Booths, or Tabernacles

as you may know it,

celebrated God's care for Israel

during their sojourn
journey in the desert.

According to the
New Testament, though,

Jesus fulfilled
the pilgrimage feasts.

prophetic significance

at the ninth hour,

We read a little bit

and to put its
blood over the doorposts.

we see there that Christ
also fulfilled this as the Lamb

and notice what the Bible says.

And about the ninth hour

Jesus cried out
with a loud voice,

saying, 'Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani?'

That is, 'My God, My God,
why have You forsaken Me?'

Some of those who stood

as the firstfruits for it say,

Which is why this

Christ was the
fulfillment of that

on that resurrection

Then He ascended,
okay, 40 days after,

the right hand of God

and inaugurate the New Covenant
on the day of Pentecost.

Now we see this
ascension in Acts 1:9-11

there where it's, you
know, the disciples are there

in the Mount of
Olives, and Christ

ascending into the heavens.

By the time you get to
Revelations Chapter 4 and 5,

great throne room scene,

and the four living
creatures, and the 24 elders,

they're worshiping

who was and is to come."

And then in Chapter 5,

there's this
great dramatic scene

where, of course, the Father
has the scroll in His hand,

and no one is
worthy to open it but yet,

one of the elders says to John

after he's weeping
because he sees almost

as if there's no hope.

But yet he says, "Do not weep.

Behold, the lion of the
tribe of Judah has prevailed."

And we read,
notice in Revelation 5:6

which is a
testament to what Christ did

Forty days after, when
He ascended into heaven,

Pentecost happens,
