those priests
served as mediators

but the change of the priesthood

implies a change of
the law of the priesthood.

Jesus
inaugurated a New Covenant,

ministry, the priesthood,

that the sacrifices

So the reason

there's the need
of a new covenant

many people get confused

of the works of the law

are under a curse."

Now, most people say, see,

you don't have to
keep the Ten Commandments.

That's the works of the law.

No, no, you're
gonna see in context,

he's talking
about the Law of Moses,

the Book of the Law,

what God spoke to
Moses and Moses wrote down.

promise that God made

There were two reasons

that the New
Covenant was necessary.

the blood of bulls and
goats could not perfect anyone.

But secondly, the
people began to look at

the efficacy of the sacrifice.

They got locked
in on the symbols,

and they were missing
what the symbols meant.

So they were looking for,

you know, as the
requirement were,

lambs without
blemish and without spot,

and they thought,
since I found a physical lamb

that was sufficient.

They were missing
what it was pointing to.

missing the significance

not looking forward

to the coming of Christ.

and they just couldn't get it

because they had gotten
steeped in the symbolism.

That's why when he died,
