taking captives into Babylon.

But it ends in
contrast with Jesus standing up

to deliver His people.

And all through Daniel,

we see that God
works everything out

for the benefit of His children.

Right? His eternal benefit.

And He's going to do
this for us even during

as Daniel 1 says
a time of trouble,

whose change has
changed the course

of history at the end of times.

The divine
deliverer is going to stand up

and rescue His people.

Let's look at
that, Daniel 12:1 says,

Now, when it says at that time,

he's referring
to the time period

that was just mentioned

which extended from
the fall of the papacy

1798 till the very end,

till the resurrection
at the time of the end.

Let me just kind
of do a quick review.

The most prominent figure

the son of one that

He's initially
introduced as the Son of man.

the Prince of Princes.

Messiah, the Prince.

So we have no question
who this great Prince is.

We learned in our
study of Daniel Chapter 10

that the great Prince Michael

is none other than
Jesus Christ Himself.

Now, some people have a
difficult time understanding

that Michael when,

when it's talking
about him being an angel.

Angel means messenger.

And Michael actually
means one who is like God.

So we looked in Daniel 10:13,

because Daniel
mentions Michael three times.

It says, "Michael,

See, He's only one of
them. It can't be Jesus.

You have to look at
the word there for one.

This is a unique plural
word that is used of God.

It means several
components that are one.

It's using the same here.

He's the Prince of God's people.

So Michael is the Prince.

He's the leader
of the Heavenly Army.

Michael and His angels
fought with the dragon,

the captain of the host.

and a judicial
aspect of Christ's work.

Primarily it's used in

as in the rise of
kings to rule and conquer.

So, Michael is the
military heavenly leader.

He's the captain of
the host, as I've said,

and He's going to lead
His people in a special way

during the final stages
of the great controversy.

indicates a judgment setting.

Jesus comes before
the Ancient of Days

to represent God's people

during the
investigative judgment.

that in Daniel 7:9-14.

And as the Son of man,
He stands as our advocate.

So He's invested

with power to defeat His enemies

and with authority to represent

God's people in
the heavenly tribunal.

of trouble in Matthew 24.

close for the whole earth.

But as long as you're in Christ,

assurance of salvation.

But at that time,

it's got that power is
going to come to an end.

that is going to disappear.
