message is foundational

You know, one thing,
you're noticing right here.

First of all, this is
the most fearful curse

that you find in the Bible.

It's in Revelation Chapter
14 in the third angel's message.

It doesn't get more serious
than the smoke of their torment

ascending up forever and ever,

if you get the
mark of the beast.

That is in contrast at the end,

where those who keep
the commandments of God

and have the faith of Jesus,

and so you've got the
two polar opposite groups

in the last days.

Now to understand why
it's so important for us

to read the
three angels' message,

the next verses, matter of fact,

What happens right after
these three messages were given?

after the proclamation

One like the Son of Man,

head a golden crown,

Then it says, "Another
angel came out of the temple,

Him that who sat on the cloud,

'Thrust in Thy sickle and reap,

for the time has
come for You to reap,

for the harvest of
the earth is ripe.' "

All right, so who is it
that we see sitting on a cloud

coming to harvest?

Jesus. What time is that?

It's the Second Coming.

Christ said, "I am the sower,
the Word of God is the seed,

harvest is the
end of the world,"
00:08:15.96\00:08:17.43
in His parables.

So these three angels' messages
are happening immediately prior
00:08:18.76\00:08:23.87
to the Second Coming.

So these are
messages that go to the world.

So that's why it's so important
for us to look at that.

First angel's
message, let's review,

and we'll start now
going through them one by one.

What is the everlasting gospel?

Is that a different gospel
than the one that Abraham knew?

Were the Jews saved
under a different gospel

than the Gentiles?
00:08:50.96\00:08:53.40
Is there a different
gospel in the New Testament
00:08:53.43\00:08:55.93
than the Old Testament?
00:08:55.96\00:08:58.07
Or is the everlasting gospel,
00:08:58.10\00:08:59.90
the same gospel
that goes from Adam,
00:08:59.93\00:09:02.77
all the way to the
second coming of Jesus.
00:09:02.80\00:09:05.71
It's that we are saved
by grace through faith,
00:09:05.74\00:09:09.71
we are saved from our
sin, God gives us a new heart.
00:09:09.74\00:09:14.52
Abraham believed God,
00:09:14.55\00:09:15.98
and it was counted to
him for righteousness.
00:09:16.02\00:09:17.85
They were saved by faith,
looking forward to the cross,
00:09:17.89\00:09:21.22
we are saved by faith,
looking back to the cross,
00:09:21.26\00:09:24.29
the power is in the cross,
00:09:24.33\00:09:26.13
we're all saved by
the blood of Jesus.
00:09:26.16\00:09:28.30
The everlasting
gospel is the same gospel.

So this gospel is then to
go tells us the scope of it

to all those who
dwell on the earth.

Is this a
message just for Israel?

Or is it...

It's a global message, right?

And what's the great commission
in Matthew Chapter 28?

"We're told to go
preach, make disciples,

baptize people in the
name of the Father, Son,
00:09:49.55\00:09:51.69
and the Holy Spirit."
00:09:51.72\00:09:53.19
You'll notice the
first angel's message
00:09:53.22\00:09:54.79
goes to every nation,
kindred, tongue, and people,
00:09:54.82\00:09:57.13
actually all three messages do.
00:09:57.16\00:09:59.16
And the reason for that is,

immediately
following the proclamation

of the three angels' message,

you have the
second coming of Christ,

which will affect every nation,
kindred, tongue, and people.

So the gospel is
go to all the world

because all the world
is going to be affected

at the Second Coming of Jesus.

So it's a worldwide
proclamation of good news.

mentioned that good news

is the same that was
preached in the Old Testament

and the New Testament.

It's centered in
Jesus, the savior.

Jesus said, "And
this is eternal life,

that they might
know the only true God

and Jesus Christ
whom thou has sent."

The essence of
the everlasting gospel

is coming into a personal
saving relationship with Jesus.

the midst of heaven?

an important priority.

In the Book of

entrusted the last warning

On them is
shining wonderful light

from the word of God.

There is no other work
of so great importance.

They are to allow nothing

So if you're going to a church,

and they're not talking
about the three angels' message,

that doesn't mean all
year long, every sermon.

But if that doesn't
have a high priority,

something else is
occupying their attention.

Now why are these
messages to be so important?

I think the whole
gospel's wrapped in there.

Now, first, we got to
kind of back up and explain.

We're talking about
three angels' messages.
00:11:45.27\00:11:47.30
You notice it says,
"Another angel," in verse 6.
00:11:47.34\00:11:50.61
Why does it say another angel?
00:11:50.64\00:11:52.41
Because you've been seeing
angels all through the book.
00:11:52.44\00:11:54.84
You got angels that
are, you know, opening seals,
00:11:54.88\00:12:01.28
and pouring out vials.
00:12:01.32\00:12:03.35
And angel says, "Come here."
00:12:03.39\00:12:05.05
And what does this mean?
00:12:05.09\00:12:06.12
And so there's
angels all through the book.
00:12:06.15\00:12:08.22
But these three are
doing something particular.

The word
"Angel" means messenger,
00:12:11.36\00:12:13.16
but it often is
translated to mean announcement
00:12:13.19\00:12:16.46
or proclamation
flying in the heavens.
00:12:16.50\00:12:21.54
You know, I don't want to...

I want to sound too sensational,
00:12:24.67\00:12:26.88
but, you know, I always thought
that it was very interesting
00:12:26.91\00:12:32.11
when Three Angels Broadcasting
started broadcasting.
00:12:32.15\00:12:37.02
They rented time on
satellites in the sky,
00:12:37.05\00:12:41.32
and the satellites
have these big solar wings
00:12:41.36\00:12:43.93
that capture light
and turn it to electricity
00:12:43.96\00:12:47.00
to broadcast the gospel.
00:12:47.03\00:12:49.20
I just thought that
was an interesting analogy.
00:12:49.23\00:12:51.30
I don't think those
satellites are angels.
00:12:51.33\00:12:53.64
And I'm not
saying that this prophecy
00:12:53.67\00:12:55.17
is talking about
satellites 'cause right now,
00:12:55.20\00:12:56.74
these Christian ministries
have about 20 satellites
00:12:56.77\00:12:59.31
that they're using.
00:12:59.34\00:13:00.58
So don't make a
big deal out of that.
00:13:00.61\00:13:01.84
But I always thought
that was really interesting.

Also, with reference
to the word "Angel, "

we always think
of angelic beings,

when you think of angels.

But all angels
mentioned in the Bible,

they're not all
necessarily angelic beings.

Someone who was on a
mission or an errand,

someone who is a messenger
00:13:18.86\00:13:20.33
is sometimes
referred to as angel

because the word
in the original Greek,

angel, means messenger.

So these three angels,

don't just think
of angelic beings.

And I'm sure
there will be angels

as we think of them
assisting in the proclamation.

But in essence, God
has given us a message

to take to the world.

So in the three
angels' messages,

you see God's
people doing a special work

of proclaiming these
three end time warning messages

to the world.

So that's what the
word "Angel" means.

And it says that they
have the everlasting gospel

to preach to them
that are on the earth

to every tribe,
tongue, and nation
00:13:53.56\00:13:55.13
saying, Here's verse
7, "With a loud voice..."

Don't miss that it
says loud voice here.

It says, loud voice for
the third angel's message,
