Welcome once again to this very important series, 00:00:14.11\00:00:18.15 The Secrets of Pentecost. 00:00:18.35\00:00:20.22 And our subject of study today is, 00:00:20.75\00:00:22.88 The Lord Is Our Rock. 00:00:22.92\00:00:25.62 But before we begin our study, before we open the pages 00:00:26.25\00:00:30.63 of God's holy book, we always need to ask 00:00:30.66\00:00:34.00 for the Lord's guidance. 00:00:34.03\00:00:35.36 Never should the Bible be opened without prayer. 00:00:35.40\00:00:38.30 And so I invite you to bow your heads with me as we ask 00:00:38.63\00:00:41.44 for the Lord's presence. 00:00:41.47\00:00:42.84 Our Father and our God, what a privilege it is 00:00:43.61\00:00:47.28 to call You, Father. 00:00:47.31\00:00:48.71 To know that You want the best for Your children. 00:00:49.04\00:00:51.71 You especially want us to understand Your will. 00:00:52.35\00:00:55.02 But our minds are limited. 00:00:55.52\00:00:57.49 We can't understand on our own. 00:00:57.85\00:01:00.96 And therefore, we need divine wisdom. 00:01:00.99\00:01:03.46 So we ask that You will bless us with the presence 00:01:03.93\00:01:06.39 of Your Holy Spirit; 00:01:06.43\00:01:07.93 the same Spirit that was poured out on the day of Pentecost 00:01:08.20\00:01:11.33 in abundance without measure. 00:01:11.90\00:01:13.77 We ask that that Spirit will be present here. 00:01:14.14\00:01:16.74 And we thank You, Father, for the promise 00:01:17.21\00:01:19.21 that You will be with us when we ask. 00:01:19.57\00:01:21.51 And we have asked for it in the precious name of Jesus, amen. 00:01:21.98\00:01:26.25 As we begin our study today, I would like to say 00:01:28.42\00:01:33.09 that there is a very close connection between what Jesus 00:01:33.15\00:01:39.13 performed on the cross and the descent of the fire 00:01:39.16\00:01:44.17 on the day of Pentecost. 00:01:44.37\00:01:45.93 In fact, these two events are totally inseparable. 00:01:46.53\00:01:50.54 Without the cross, there would have been no fire. 00:01:51.01\00:01:53.68 It would have been impossible. 00:01:53.98\00:01:55.41 And we're going to see that in our study today. 00:01:55.44\00:01:57.88 A second fact that I would like to share, 00:01:58.71\00:02:00.92 other than the connection between the cross and the fire, 00:02:01.02\00:02:03.69 is the fact that most people, when they study what happened 00:02:04.19\00:02:07.99 at Pentecost, they focus on what occurred on earth. 00:02:08.02\00:02:12.46 And they fail to realize that what happened on earth 00:02:13.29\00:02:16.56 was only an earthly announcement 00:02:16.87\00:02:20.44 of the most important event that took place in heaven. 00:02:20.74\00:02:24.84 In other words, the earthly event was a sign of something 00:02:25.21\00:02:29.48 very significant that occurred in the heavenly courts. 00:02:29.51\00:02:33.62 You know, when you mention the day of Pentecost, 00:02:33.92\00:02:35.82 people immediately say, "Oh, the mighty rushing wind 00:02:35.85\00:02:38.72 and the tongues of fire. 00:02:38.75\00:02:40.09 And people started talking in languages and tongues." 00:02:40.16\00:02:43.93 That's all they remember about Pentecost. 00:02:43.96\00:02:46.03 But the day of Pentecost is not primarily about 00:02:46.49\00:02:49.40 what happened on earth. 00:02:49.43\00:02:50.87 Primarily, it is about what happened in heaven. 00:02:51.13\00:02:54.84 And the earth was simply a repercussion 00:02:54.87\00:02:57.51 of the heavenly event. 00:02:57.54\00:02:58.87 So two things that I want us to remember as we begin our study: 00:02:58.97\00:03:02.04 number one, there is an intimate connection between the cross 00:03:02.28\00:03:06.08 and the fire that fell on the day of Pentecost; 00:03:06.11\00:03:08.35 and number two, and very importantly, equally important, 00:03:08.55\00:03:12.95 the event that was significant on the day of Pentecost 00:03:12.99\00:03:16.12 was not so much the one on earth as the event that took place 00:03:16.22\00:03:20.70 in heaven. 00:03:20.73\00:03:22.06 Now as we begin our study, I would like to mention 00:03:22.10\00:03:24.63 that there is a recurring pattern in the Old Testament 00:03:24.67\00:03:28.47 that we want to study as we begin our analysis 00:03:28.64\00:03:34.41 of this topic, The Lord Is Our Rock. 00:03:34.44\00:03:37.28 What is this pattern that we find in the Old Testament? 00:03:38.61\00:03:42.15 Basically I'll explain it, and then we're going to notice 00:03:42.48\00:03:45.05 several examples. 00:03:45.09\00:03:46.55 What happens is that an animal or animals are sacrificed, 00:03:46.79\00:03:51.89 they're placed on the altar, and then God rains fire 00:03:52.36\00:03:56.87 to consume the sacrifice as a sign that the sacrifice 00:03:56.90\00:04:01.37 has been accepted by Him. 00:04:01.40\00:04:03.30 In other words, the signal that God gives 00:04:03.81\00:04:06.47 that He accepts the sacrifice that was made 00:04:06.51\00:04:09.38 is the fact that He rains fire to consume the sacrifice. 00:04:09.58\00:04:13.42 And we're going to notice this recurring pattern 00:04:13.72\00:04:16.38 in the Old Testament. 00:04:16.42\00:04:17.75 Time and again you find the idea of sacrifice and fire, 00:04:17.79\00:04:21.36 sacrifice and fire. 00:04:21.39\00:04:23.16 Now I want to begin with the first sacrifice 00:04:23.63\00:04:27.40 that the Scripture mentions; 00:04:27.43\00:04:29.56 the sacrifice that was offered by Abel. 00:04:29.66\00:04:33.13 Now the Bible, of course, tells us that Abel offered 00:04:33.57\00:04:37.31 a better sacrifice than Cain. 00:04:37.34\00:04:39.61 We know that. 00:04:39.71\00:04:41.04 But the question is, how did God show that He approved 00:04:41.08\00:04:44.91 of Abel's sacrifice but He did not approve 00:04:44.95\00:04:48.75 of the offering that was brought by Cain? 00:04:48.78\00:04:50.99 You know, sometimes I snicker at the speculations 00:04:51.25\00:04:53.86 that scholars offer. 00:04:53.89\00:04:55.22 You know, I read some books where the scholars say that 00:04:55.26\00:04:58.63 the way in which Abel knew that God accepted His sacrifice 00:04:58.66\00:05:02.63 is that the smoke went up, where as the way Cain knew that 00:05:02.66\00:05:06.27 his wasn't accepted was that the smoke blew down. 00:05:06.33\00:05:09.50 Now that's an interesting speculation, but it's not 00:05:09.74\00:05:12.71 in harmony with this pattern that we find in Scripture. 00:05:12.74\00:05:15.31 Now I must mention that Genesis does not tell us 00:05:15.34\00:05:19.35 exactly how God showed visibly that He accepted 00:05:19.38\00:05:22.82 Abel's sacrifice and He rejected Cain's. 00:05:22.85\00:05:25.09 But as we look at the pattern in the Bible, 00:05:25.29\00:05:27.39 we know the way in which God showed it. 00:05:27.46\00:05:30.13 Now Ellen White does tell us explicitly how God revealed 00:05:30.36\00:05:34.56 that He accepted the sacrifice of Abel. 00:05:34.76\00:05:37.37 The Bible doesn't explicitly mention it, 00:05:37.40\00:05:39.07 but Ellen White does. 00:05:39.10\00:05:40.44 And we're going to find that all of the other cases show that 00:05:40.47\00:05:42.37 Ellen White was right. 00:05:42.40\00:05:43.74 Now I want to read from, Signs Of The Times, 00:05:43.77\00:05:46.11 February 6, 1879, where Ellen White is describing 00:05:46.21\00:05:50.88 the sacrifice that was offered by Abel and how God showed 00:05:50.95\00:05:54.62 His acceptance. 00:05:54.65\00:05:55.98 It says there... 00:05:56.02\00:05:57.35 That is, the sacrifice of Abel. 00:06:02.42\00:06:04.13 So how did God show that He accepted the sacrifice of Abel? 00:06:09.50\00:06:13.03 By raining fire to consume the sacrifice. 00:06:13.13\00:06:17.11 So the first example that we find in Scripture is 00:06:17.14\00:06:20.68 of Abel offering his sacrifice and God showing His approval 00:06:20.88\00:06:25.61 by consuming the sacrifice with fire. 00:06:25.65\00:06:28.85 Now the next example that I would like us to take a look at 00:06:29.05\00:06:32.02 is when the tabernacle in the wilderness was inaugurated; 00:06:32.12\00:06:36.52 when the services in the tabernacle were begun. 00:06:36.56\00:06:39.63 The record is found in Leviticus 9:22-24. 00:06:39.93\00:06:45.07 Leviticus 9:22-24 00:06:45.10\00:06:48.34 I want you to notice here once again the connection 00:06:48.44\00:06:50.84 between sacrifice and fire. 00:06:50.91\00:06:53.27 It says... 00:06:53.68\00:06:55.01 So notice, there are three types of offerings 00:07:04.75\00:07:06.86 that are sacrificed. 00:07:06.96\00:07:08.92 And then it says in verse 23... 00:07:09.12\00:07:10.93 So do you see the pattern here? 00:07:33.21\00:07:34.98 These three types of sacrifices are placed on the altar. 00:07:35.18\00:07:38.52 And then we're told that fire came out from before the Lord 00:07:38.72\00:07:42.69 and consumed these sacrifices that were placed on the altar. 00:07:42.72\00:07:46.70 So once again, we have the idea of offering the sacrifices, 00:07:46.80\00:07:51.27 and then God consuming them with fire as a signal 00:07:51.33\00:07:55.14 that He accepted the sacrifices. 00:07:55.17\00:07:57.51 Now the next example that I want to give you from the 00:07:57.77\00:08:00.11 Old Testament is from the period of the Hebrew monarchy. 00:08:00.18\00:08:03.85 The period of the Hebrew kings. 00:08:04.18\00:08:06.05 Now you remember that the ark of the covenant was 00:08:06.08\00:08:09.32 taken captive by the Philistines. 00:08:09.35\00:08:11.35 And you know, as the ark was there in the cities 00:08:11.52\00:08:15.02 of the Philistines, the ark started pouring out 00:08:15.06\00:08:17.03 plagues upon the Philistines. 00:08:17.06\00:08:18.79 And so they sent a message to David, 00:08:18.96\00:08:21.60 "David, we don't want the ark anymore. 00:08:21.63\00:08:23.16 Come and get the ark." 00:08:23.20\00:08:24.53 And so eventually David goes and he takes the ark 00:08:24.57\00:08:27.54 and he's bringing it back to Jerusalem. 00:08:27.77\00:08:29.70 And it's going up a hill and it looks like the ark 00:08:29.74\00:08:32.34 is going to fall off. 00:08:32.37\00:08:33.91 And so Uzzah extends his hand to hold the ark. 00:08:33.98\00:08:36.75 And immediately when he touches the ark, he drops dead. 00:08:36.85\00:08:39.75 And so David didn't feel like he could take the ark 00:08:40.15\00:08:42.38 all the way to Jerusalem, and so he put it on 00:08:42.42\00:08:44.62 Ornan's threshing floor. 00:08:44.65\00:08:46.76 And I want you to notice that after he placed the ark 00:08:47.56\00:08:51.66 on Ornan's threshing floor, David built an altar 00:08:51.69\00:08:54.93 and he sacrificed a victim. 00:08:54.96\00:08:57.17 And then I want you to notice what happened. 00:08:57.37\00:08:59.20 It's found in 1 Chronicles 21:26. 00:08:59.23\00:09:03.24 1 Chronicles 21:26 00:09:03.30\00:09:06.78 Do you see the same pattern once again? 00:09:23.93\00:09:25.86 God answers the call of David by raining fire 00:09:25.96\00:09:30.27 to consume the sacrifice. 00:09:30.30\00:09:31.63 So you have the sacrifice and the fire. 00:09:31.67\00:09:34.04 Now it's interesting, I mentioned at the beginning 00:09:34.24\00:09:36.44 that there's a connection between the cross, 00:09:36.50\00:09:38.31 which is the sacrifice, and the fire on the day of Pentecost. 00:09:38.34\00:09:41.44 That's the line that I want us to begin thinking of. 00:09:41.64\00:09:44.51 Now the next example that I want to give is from the time 00:09:44.75\00:09:48.12 when the temple that was built by Solomon was dedicated. 00:09:48.15\00:09:52.09 By the way, we should never call it, Solomon's temple. 00:09:52.29\00:09:55.19 Because it was not his temple. 00:09:55.22\00:09:57.13 It was the temple built for the Lord by Solomon. 00:09:57.33\00:10:00.80 You know, we say, Noah's ark. 00:10:01.10\00:10:02.90 It was not Noah's ark, it was the Lord's ark 00:10:02.93\00:10:05.63 built by Noah. 00:10:05.67\00:10:07.00 And so we need to be very careful about our terminology 00:10:07.34\00:10:10.31 lest we glorify the builder instead of glorifying the Lord 00:10:10.34\00:10:14.74 who used the builder. 00:10:14.78\00:10:16.11 But anyway, when Solomon built the temple, 00:10:16.14\00:10:19.65 he offered a prayer to the Lord in dedication 00:10:20.42\00:10:24.62 and he had placed sacrifices upon the altar. 00:10:24.65\00:10:27.26 And I want you to notice what happened. 00:10:27.29\00:10:28.99 2 Chronicles 7:1. 2 Chronicles 7:1. 00:10:29.02\00:10:33.90 Do you see the pattern once again? 00:10:47.08\00:10:48.71 Sacrifices and then fire. 00:10:48.74\00:10:51.15 God showing His approval of the sacrifices by raining fire. 00:10:51.18\00:10:54.95 Now let's notice one more example of this recurring 00:10:55.68\00:10:58.92 pattern in the Old Testament. 00:10:58.95\00:11:00.56 This is from 1 Kings 18:38. 00:11:00.96\00:11:04.13 You remember the days of Elijah? 00:11:04.16\00:11:05.93 How did God show that He did not approve of the 00:11:06.29\00:11:08.90 sacrifices that were offered by the prophets of Baal? 00:11:08.93\00:11:11.80 There was no fire from heaven. 00:11:12.23\00:11:14.27 That showed God's disapproval. 00:11:14.30\00:11:16.24 But how did God show that He accepted the sacrifices 00:11:16.27\00:11:19.34 that were placed by Elijah upon the altar? 00:11:19.37\00:11:22.01 Let's read about it. 00:11:22.11\00:11:23.45 1 Kings 18:38 00:11:23.48\00:11:26.72 So we have this recurring pattern in the Old Testament. 00:11:46.23\00:11:49.10 You have a sacrifice or sacrifices that are offered, 00:11:49.30\00:11:52.47 and then God shows that He approves and accepts 00:11:52.77\00:11:55.78 the sacrifice by raining fire from heaven 00:11:55.81\00:11:58.61 to consume the sacrifice. 00:11:58.65\00:12:00.92 Now, I want us to study this from a different perspective. 00:12:01.35\00:12:05.92 Instead of talking about sacrifice and fire 00:12:06.25\00:12:10.63 as a sign of acceptance of the sacrifice, 00:12:10.66\00:12:13.63 I want us to study other symbols that teach the same lesson. 00:12:13.83\00:12:18.83 In other words, it's the same lesson, 00:12:19.20\00:12:20.94 but it's different symbolism. 00:12:20.97\00:12:22.67 I'm referring specifically to two rock episodes that we find 00:12:22.90\00:12:27.68 in the Old Testament. 00:12:27.71\00:12:29.04 We find two different rock episodes in the Old Testament. 00:12:29.08\00:12:32.28 Now let's go to our first rock episode. 00:12:32.55\00:12:34.92 It's found in Exodus 17:1-6. 00:12:34.95\00:12:38.89 Exodus 17:1-6 00:12:39.22\00:12:42.69 And I want you to notice, there are several details 00:12:42.72\00:12:44.59 that we're going to take a look at in this passage. 00:12:44.63\00:12:47.30 The children of Israel were in the wilderness. 00:12:48.16\00:12:50.27 They were in the desert. 00:12:50.30\00:12:51.63 And of course, they needed water. 00:12:51.77\00:12:53.44 And they had no water. 00:12:53.67\00:12:55.10 And so they're going to start murmuring against the Lord. 00:12:55.14\00:12:57.54 Let's read about it beginning with verse 1. 00:12:57.57\00:13:00.08 Very appropriately named, by the way. 00:13:06.92\00:13:09.02 It's coincidental that it's called, Wilderness of Sin. 00:13:10.12\00:13:12.49 That's the name of it in Hebrew. 00:13:12.52\00:13:14.62 But it says... 00:13:14.66\00:13:15.99 So notice, in murmuring who are they tempting? 00:13:40.12\00:13:42.15 Only Moses? 00:13:42.18\00:13:43.52 No, they're tempting the Lord. 00:13:43.55\00:13:45.02 By the way, are they sinning against the Lord? 00:13:45.05\00:13:47.12 Yes, they're showing a lack of faith. 00:13:47.46\00:13:48.99 The Bible says that whatever is not of faith is sin. 00:13:49.02\00:13:52.73 They're showing their distrust in God 00:13:52.86\00:13:55.00 and they're sinning against God. 00:13:55.03\00:13:56.36 And they deserve to be punished because of their 00:13:56.40\00:13:59.60 murmuring against God. 00:13:59.63\00:14:00.97 So notice verse 3. 00:14:01.00\00:14:02.34 And so now Moses, you know, in his regular patient way... 00:14:16.45\00:14:20.62 You know, in forty years he never lost his patience 00:14:21.39\00:14:24.16 except for the very end where he struck the rock twice. 00:14:24.19\00:14:27.30 And we're going to talk about that in a few moments. 00:14:27.33\00:14:29.43 You know, he was the meekest man on earth, 00:14:29.66\00:14:31.90 according to Numbers 12:3. 00:14:32.13\00:14:34.44 Amazing. 00:14:34.47\00:14:35.80 With a congregation of a million men, not counting 00:14:35.84\00:14:37.91 women and children. 00:14:37.94\00:14:39.27 And it was not an easy congregation, 00:14:39.31\00:14:40.88 it was a very difficult congregation. 00:14:40.91\00:14:42.88 Now notice what it continues saying, verse 4... 00:14:43.14\00:14:46.48 And now the solution that God gives is very interesting. 00:14:55.56\00:14:58.36 Verse 5... 00:14:58.39\00:14:59.73 That is the river Nile. 00:15:12.27\00:15:13.61 You remember he struck the river Nile with the rod? 00:15:13.64\00:15:15.81 So it says... 00:15:15.84\00:15:17.21 And now something very interesting in verse 6. 00:15:24.99\00:15:27.89 This is the Lord speaking. 00:15:28.22\00:15:30.13 By the way, this is Jesus Christ speaking. 00:15:30.16\00:15:31.89 I want you to visualize this. 00:15:38.03\00:15:39.77 There's this great big literal rock, the rock of Horeb. 00:15:39.97\00:15:43.84 But standing on the rock is Jesus Christ. 00:15:44.34\00:15:48.94 So you have the two things together. 00:15:49.94\00:15:52.21 You have the symbol, which is the rock, 00:15:52.25\00:15:54.12 and the reality to which the symbol points 00:15:54.15\00:15:56.45 standing on the rock. 00:15:56.48\00:15:57.82 You have the symbol and the reality together. 00:15:57.85\00:16:00.39 Now I want you to notice what it continues saying. 00:16:01.16\00:16:03.53 Verse 6... 00:16:03.93\00:16:05.26 And of course, He who is standing on the rock as well. 00:16:12.73\00:16:16.57 So you can visualize this. 00:16:24.05\00:16:25.65 By the way, did the people know the power that was found 00:16:25.68\00:16:28.55 in the rod of Moses? 00:16:28.58\00:16:29.92 Oh, they did. 00:16:29.95\00:16:31.29 I can only imagine how they felt when Moses raised his rod. 00:16:31.42\00:16:35.66 They'd say, "Uh-ho, we're in trouble now." 00:16:35.72\00:16:38.19 But something very interesting happened. 00:16:38.36\00:16:40.30 Now, we have three basic symbols in this passage. 00:16:40.50\00:16:44.37 And when we interpret each symbol and understand 00:16:44.83\00:16:47.74 what each symbol represents, and then put them together, 00:16:47.77\00:16:50.44 we'll know what God wanted to teach through this episode. 00:16:50.64\00:16:53.74 The first symbol that we have is the rock. 00:16:54.01\00:16:56.54 Now what does the rock represent? 00:16:57.51\00:17:00.02 This is a literal rock, but the rock symbolizes something. 00:17:00.05\00:17:03.92 What does it symbolize? 00:17:03.95\00:17:05.55 Let's go to Deuteronomy 32:4. 00:17:05.99\00:17:08.92 See, Israel should have known this in the Old Testament. 00:17:08.96\00:17:11.19 They didn't have to wait until the apostle Paul wrote 00:17:11.23\00:17:13.63 that the rock was Christ. 00:17:13.86\00:17:15.23 They could have known in the Old Testament 00:17:15.26\00:17:17.07 that the rock was symbolic of a person. 00:17:17.10\00:17:19.57 You say, "How do we know that?" 00:17:20.04\00:17:21.37 Notice Deuteronomy 32:4. 00:17:21.40\00:17:24.04 And by the way, nine times this is underlined in this chapter. 00:17:24.37\00:17:27.38 I'm only reading one of the verses. 00:17:27.41\00:17:29.14 It says there... 00:17:29.18\00:17:30.51 So is the rock a person, yes or no? 00:17:33.58\00:17:35.42 Yes, the rock is a He. 00:17:35.82\00:17:37.69 So the rock represents a person. 00:17:52.13\00:17:54.57 The rock represents the Lord. 00:17:54.60\00:17:56.81 Now the question is, which of the three Persons of the Godhead 00:17:57.31\00:18:01.74 is the Person that is being described here? 00:18:02.11\00:18:04.58 We don't have to guess. 00:18:04.61\00:18:06.08 1 Corinthians 10:1-4 tells us specifically who that Person was 00:18:06.31\00:18:11.75 that stood upon the rock and whom that rock represents. 00:18:11.79\00:18:15.46 1 Corinthians 10:1-4 00:18:15.62\00:18:19.19 This is what the apostle Paul has to say. 00:18:19.23\00:18:21.53 Was the manna real food? 00:18:41.35\00:18:42.88 Yeah, the manna was real food. 00:18:43.79\00:18:45.19 Did it have vitamins and minerals 00:18:45.22\00:18:46.76 and carbohydrates and proteins? 00:18:46.79\00:18:48.32 Of course it did. It was real food. 00:18:48.36\00:18:50.39 But did God want to teach a spiritual lesson 00:18:50.86\00:18:52.89 through that real food? 00:18:52.93\00:18:54.26 See, the real food was symbolic of a spiritual reality. 00:18:54.30\00:18:58.33 And the manna represented Christ. 00:18:58.37\00:19:00.54 We know that. 00:19:00.57\00:19:01.90 So the apostle Paul says... 00:19:01.94\00:19:03.51 Was it real water that came out of the rock? 00:19:11.21\00:19:13.62 Was it H2O? 00:19:13.65\00:19:15.52 It was certainly H2O. 00:19:15.55\00:19:17.25 It was real water that people drank. 00:19:17.29\00:19:19.05 But the water had a deeper dimension. 00:19:19.09\00:19:20.86 It was symbolic, just like the rock. 00:19:20.89\00:19:22.89 Now notice what it continues saying here. 00:19:22.92\00:19:24.99 Is it clear what the rock represents? 00:19:34.30\00:19:36.37 The rock represents Christ. 00:19:36.74\00:19:38.07 So who was standing on the rock? 00:19:38.11\00:19:39.71 Standing on the rock was none other than Christ. 00:19:40.31\00:19:42.84 In other words, you have the rock, which is the symbol, 00:19:42.94\00:19:45.41 and you have the Person who is represented by the symbol 00:19:45.51\00:19:48.05 standing on it. 00:19:48.08\00:19:49.45 You have the reality and the symbol together in this story. 00:19:49.65\00:19:53.89 So we know what the rock represents. 00:19:54.19\00:19:56.02 The rock represents Christ. 00:19:56.12\00:19:58.33 But now we need to ask the question, 00:19:58.76\00:20:00.33 what does the rod represent? 00:20:00.36\00:20:02.16 Because we have a second symbol, 00:20:02.20\00:20:03.80 which is the rod that strikes the rock. 00:20:03.83\00:20:06.00 Now what does the rod represent? 00:20:06.20\00:20:08.37 As we examine the rod of Moses, we discover that his rod 00:20:08.80\00:20:12.67 primarily represents judgment. 00:20:12.71\00:20:15.51 Because every time that Moses raises his rod, 00:20:15.84\00:20:18.85 a judgment falls. 00:20:18.95\00:20:20.82 So the rod represents God's judgment. 00:20:20.85\00:20:24.92 And the rod is used to what? 00:20:25.49\00:20:28.42 The rod is used to smite. 00:20:28.52\00:20:30.86 In other words, the rod smiting means that 00:20:31.26\00:20:34.53 God's judgment is falling, God's judgment is afflicting. 00:20:34.56\00:20:39.60 God's judgment is falling upon someone when the rod falls 00:20:39.63\00:20:45.17 upon that someone or upon that something. 00:20:45.21\00:20:48.41 For example, the Bible says that Moses smote the waters 00:20:48.44\00:20:53.18 and they turned into blood. 00:20:53.21\00:20:54.55 The judgment upon the Egyptians. 00:20:54.58\00:20:56.12 He smote the dust, and from the dust came a plague of lice. 00:20:56.32\00:21:02.36 A judgment of God. 00:21:02.39\00:21:03.73 And then the same word is used for God smiting 00:21:03.76\00:21:06.33 the first born in Egypt. 00:21:06.36\00:21:07.73 So smiting with the rod represents the fact 00:21:07.76\00:21:10.93 that God's judgment is falling upon whatever the rod strikes. 00:21:10.97\00:21:16.24 Now what's interesting is, that rod should have 00:21:16.91\00:21:19.94 fallen upon whom? 00:21:19.97\00:21:21.51 That rod should have fallen upon the people. 00:21:22.38\00:21:24.98 Because the people were murmuring against the Lord. 00:21:25.18\00:21:28.55 They were sinning against the Lord. 00:21:28.58\00:21:30.12 But instead of the rod striking the people, 00:21:30.22\00:21:33.46 the rod struck what? 00:21:33.49\00:21:35.69 It struck the rock. 00:21:35.79\00:21:37.13 And the rock represents who? 00:21:37.16\00:21:38.83 Christ. 00:21:39.33\00:21:40.66 Go with me to Isaiah 53:4, 00:21:40.70\00:21:43.26 this magnificent Messianic prophecy. 00:21:43.30\00:21:45.90 Isaiah 53:4, where the identical word, "smite," or, "strike," 00:21:45.93\00:21:52.21 is used; the same word that we find in Exodus chapter 17. 00:21:52.24\00:21:55.44 Isaiah 53:4 00:21:55.68\00:21:57.91 It says here... 00:21:58.35\00:21:59.68 This is the Messiah. 00:22:00.68\00:22:02.02 That is the identical word that is used in Exodus 17, 00:22:09.72\00:22:12.83 "You shall strike the rock with your rod." 00:22:12.86\00:22:15.26 And so it says here... 00:22:15.53\00:22:17.53 The word, "nakah," incidentally, the word, "nakah," is a very 00:22:20.80\00:22:24.11 interesting word. 00:22:24.14\00:22:25.47 It means, to strike. 00:22:25.51\00:22:26.91 It means, to beat, to smite, to hit, to slay, to kill, 00:22:26.94\00:22:31.61 to receive a blow, or to be wounded. 00:22:31.71\00:22:34.35 All of those definitions are given in the Old Testament 00:22:34.68\00:22:37.19 in translations. 00:22:37.39\00:22:38.72 And so it says... 00:22:38.85\00:22:40.56 So who is it that smote the rock, so to speak? 00:22:50.43\00:22:53.64 The rock was smitten by Moses, 00:22:54.97\00:22:57.27 but really Moses was a type of whom? 00:22:57.37\00:23:00.51 He was a type of Christ. 00:23:00.81\00:23:03.14 And so the rock, Jesus Christ, was smitten by the rod 00:23:03.45\00:23:07.98 of God's judgment. 00:23:08.02\00:23:09.48 Let me ask you, who deserved to suffer under the rod of 00:23:10.19\00:23:13.25 God's judgment? 00:23:13.29\00:23:14.62 We did. 00:23:15.02\00:23:16.36 Do we deserve to be smitten by the rod of God's judgment? 00:23:16.39\00:23:19.36 You better believe we do. 00:23:19.39\00:23:20.86 Because we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. 00:23:20.90\00:23:25.00 But the rod of God's judgment did not fall on those 00:23:25.33\00:23:28.90 who are guilty. 00:23:28.94\00:23:30.27 The rod of God's judgment fell upon the one who was innocent. 00:23:30.31\00:23:34.51 Upon Jesus Christ. 00:23:34.54\00:23:36.11 And so, what is being taught here is that the rod 00:23:36.88\00:23:40.85 of God's judgment, instead of falling upon us sinners, 00:23:40.88\00:23:44.22 it fell upon Jesus Christ. 00:23:44.25\00:23:46.19 Jesus fell under the judgment of His Father 00:23:46.22\00:23:48.99 because He was bearing our sins. 00:23:49.02\00:23:51.19 Isaiah 53 presents that when it says, 00:23:51.23\00:23:54.30 "Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; 00:23:54.33\00:23:57.40 yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted." 00:23:57.43\00:24:02.27 Now we have one more symbol that we have to take a look at. 00:24:03.34\00:24:05.84 And that's the water. 00:24:06.27\00:24:07.61 You see, the rock is there; the rock represents Christ. 00:24:08.01\00:24:11.91 The rod smiting the rock represents the fact that 00:24:12.15\00:24:14.92 God's judgment fell upon Christ in our place. 00:24:14.95\00:24:17.75 And when the rod hits the rock, what does the rock do? 00:24:18.02\00:24:22.26 The rock gives its waters. 00:24:22.36\00:24:24.79 Now what could that possibly represent? 00:24:25.46\00:24:27.40 What does the water represent? 00:24:27.43\00:24:29.53 We must go to John 7:37-39. 00:24:29.83\00:24:33.57 John 7:37-39 00:24:33.60\00:24:37.21 Jesus is in Jerusalem at the Feast of Tabernacles. 00:24:37.47\00:24:40.71 And it's actually the eighth day of the feast, 00:24:40.74\00:24:43.71 which is known as the great day of the feast. 00:24:43.75\00:24:45.51 It's the conclusion of the feast. 00:24:45.55\00:24:47.22 And Jesus is in Jerusalem and He says something very interesting. 00:24:47.62\00:24:51.22 Notice John 7:37-39. 00:24:51.25\00:24:54.12 So who is the rock? 00:25:06.70\00:25:08.17 The rock is Christ. 00:25:08.87\00:25:10.24 Jesus is saying, "If you're thirsty, come to Me and drink." 00:25:10.27\00:25:14.38 So the rock represents Christ, 00:25:14.41\00:25:16.14 because the water comes from Him. 00:25:16.18\00:25:17.88 Now let's continue reading in verse 38. 00:25:18.51\00:25:21.22 Jesus says... 00:25:21.55\00:25:22.88 So what does it mean to drink from the rock? 00:25:26.15\00:25:28.49 It means to what? 00:25:29.02\00:25:30.36 It means to believe or trust, or have faith in Jesus. 00:25:30.39\00:25:33.50 That's what it means. 00:25:33.53\00:25:34.86 So whoever believes in Jesus, out of that person's heart 00:25:43.81\00:25:47.48 rivers of living waters will flow. 00:25:47.81\00:25:50.41 Now where did that water come from that flows 00:25:50.95\00:25:52.88 out from the heart of that person who believes in Jesus? 00:25:52.91\00:25:55.88 It comes from the fact that the person drank from the rock. 00:25:56.79\00:26:00.76 In other words, you drink from the fountain 00:26:01.66\00:26:04.06 and then you become a fountain. 00:26:04.09\00:26:06.13 That's what Jesus is saying here. 00:26:06.23\00:26:08.00 Now what was Jesus referring to when He says, you know, 00:26:08.46\00:26:11.20 "He who believes in Me," which means, "He who comes and drinks 00:26:11.23\00:26:17.14 the water that I give," that person will then become 00:26:17.17\00:26:21.08 a fountain of water? 00:26:21.11\00:26:22.44 What was Jesus referring to when He talked about the water 00:26:22.48\00:26:25.58 that was coming forth from Him? 00:26:25.68\00:26:27.48 We don't have to guess. 00:26:27.52\00:26:28.85 Notice verse 39. 00:26:28.88\00:26:30.62 See, those who trust in Him, 00:26:38.53\00:26:40.43 those who have faith in Jesus, would what? 00:26:40.46\00:26:42.93 Would receive. 00:26:43.16\00:26:44.50 In other words, the water that comes from the rock 00:26:44.53\00:26:46.70 that you drink when you believe in Jesus 00:26:46.74\00:26:48.47 is receiving Jesus Christ. 00:26:48.50\00:26:50.67 And then it says at the last part of the verse... 00:26:51.54\00:26:53.78 Of course, He's glorified on the day of Pentecost. 00:26:59.28\00:27:01.45 The Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus had not yet 00:27:01.48\00:27:04.79 been glorified on the day of Pentecost. 00:27:04.82\00:27:07.49 He had not sat down at the right hand of God. 00:27:07.52\00:27:10.63 And so I want you to visualize what's happening here. 00:27:11.09\00:27:13.86 Basically, Jesus is the rock. 00:27:14.30\00:27:16.36 And Jesus says, "If you're thirsty, come to Me and drink." 00:27:16.70\00:27:19.43 That means, believing or trusting in Jesus. 00:27:19.47\00:27:22.87 He says, drink. 00:27:22.90\00:27:24.24 And then when you drink, which is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, 00:27:24.27\00:27:27.38 when you receive the Holy Spirit, then you will be filled 00:27:27.41\00:27:31.01 with water, and then you will become a fountain of water 00:27:31.05\00:27:34.12 to other people. 00:27:34.15\00:27:35.48 Let me give you an illustration. 00:27:36.08\00:27:37.42 You know, you go outside on a clear Fresno night 00:27:38.45\00:27:41.42 and you see this beautiful full moon. 00:27:41.96\00:27:45.03 You ever seen one of those before? 00:27:46.03\00:27:47.50 Oh, the sky is clear. 00:27:48.00\00:27:50.37 You know, it's one of those few days where you have 00:27:50.40\00:27:52.33 clear air in Fresno. 00:27:52.37\00:27:54.14 And so you see this beautiful, beautiful full moon. 00:27:54.50\00:27:57.87 And you look at the sky and you say to your husband 00:27:58.07\00:28:00.58 or to your wife, "Oh, dear, isn't that moon romantic 00:28:00.61\00:28:03.75 and beautiful tonight?" 00:28:03.78\00:28:05.21 But you know, that's not the full truth, and the whole truth, 00:28:07.42\00:28:09.68 and nothing but the truth, so help you God. 00:28:09.72\00:28:11.65 Because the moon has no light. 00:28:12.42\00:28:14.16 Where does the moon get it's light from? 00:28:15.12\00:28:16.86 The moon gets the light from the sun. 00:28:17.53\00:28:19.29 So what you need to say, "Oh, dear, isn't the sun 00:28:19.33\00:28:22.13 beautiful tonight?" 00:28:22.16\00:28:23.50 Because the glory of the moon is the glory of the sun. 00:28:24.23\00:28:26.97 The moon is simply projecting the light of the 00:28:27.00\00:28:29.40 sun to the earth. 00:28:29.44\00:28:30.97 That's why Jesus said, "I am the light of the world." 00:28:31.54\00:28:34.78 But He also said, "Ye are the light of the world." 00:28:35.08\00:28:37.65 In other words, when you are connected with the 00:28:37.91\00:28:40.15 source of light, then you become a reflector of the light. 00:28:40.18\00:28:43.72 When you drink the water, you're full of water, 00:28:44.02\00:28:46.76 and therefore now you become a fountain of blessing 00:28:46.86\00:28:50.93 to other people. 00:28:50.96\00:28:52.29 By the way, the water represents the Holy Spirit 00:28:52.86\00:28:55.03 that we receive when we trust in Jesus. 00:28:55.06\00:28:57.37 And when we receive the Holy Spirit, 00:28:57.57\00:28:59.13 we become a blessing to others. 00:28:59.17\00:29:01.10 Notice 1 Corinthians 12:13. 00:29:01.30\00:29:04.67 Here, the apostle Paul says... 00:29:04.71\00:29:06.27 So clearly, the water represents what? 00:29:18.85\00:29:21.16 The Holy Spirit. 00:29:21.19\00:29:22.52 So I want you to visualize this. 00:29:22.56\00:29:24.09 The rock is smitten with the rod. 00:29:25.59\00:29:28.90 And as a result, the rock gives its water 00:29:29.66\00:29:33.40 that people can come and drink. 00:29:33.74\00:29:35.47 Now let me ask you, who is the rock? 00:29:36.30\00:29:39.04 Jesus. 00:29:39.34\00:29:40.68 What does the act of smiting the rock represent? 00:29:40.81\00:29:43.45 It's the judgment, the death of Christ. 00:29:44.08\00:29:46.82 Now let me ask you, what made it possible for Christ 00:29:47.42\00:29:50.89 to pour out the Holy Spirit? 00:29:50.92\00:29:52.65 The fact that He fell under the judgment of God. 00:29:53.46\00:29:56.16 The fact that He went to the cross. 00:29:56.49\00:29:58.43 Because Jesus was smitten by the rod of God's judgment 00:29:58.59\00:30:01.63 He could pour out the Holy Spirit. 00:30:01.73\00:30:03.60 He could give the water from the rock, so to speak, 00:30:03.63\00:30:05.83 on the day of Pentecost. 00:30:05.87\00:30:07.20 And so even though you're dealing with different symbols, 00:30:07.70\00:30:10.47 the lesson is the same. 00:30:10.51\00:30:11.87 You see, sacrifice and then fire showing that God accepted 00:30:12.14\00:30:15.98 the sacrifice means the same thing as striking the rock 00:30:16.01\00:30:19.71 and God, by sending water from the rock, showing 00:30:19.75\00:30:22.98 that the smiting of the rock has been accepted by Him. 00:30:23.02\00:30:25.82 Are you following me or not? 00:30:26.32\00:30:27.66 Now there's a second episode of the striking of the rock. 00:30:28.19\00:30:31.19 And we should not forget that, because this is very important. 00:30:31.59\00:30:34.43 Numbers 20:7-11 contains that record. 00:30:34.86\00:30:38.27 It says here... 00:30:38.73\00:30:40.07 But now there's a difference between the first rock episode 00:30:48.21\00:30:51.25 and the second. 00:30:51.31\00:30:52.65 The first, Moses was to strike the rock. 00:30:52.68\00:30:54.62 Here, he was suppose to do something different. 00:30:54.65\00:30:57.45 He was suppose to ask the rock to give its water. 00:30:57.72\00:31:01.02 Notice... 00:31:01.06\00:31:02.39 So God says, "Now you are to speak to the rock," 00:31:14.00\00:31:16.94 and the rock represents Christ, 00:31:17.04\00:31:18.57 "and then the rock will give its water." 00:31:18.67\00:31:21.24 But what did Moses do? 00:31:21.94\00:31:23.41 He lost it. 00:31:23.75\00:31:25.08 After 40 years. 00:31:25.21\00:31:26.55 Do you know that Ellen White says that if Moses 00:31:26.58\00:31:28.48 had not committed this one sin, he would have been translated 00:31:28.62\00:31:32.89 to heaven from among the living. 00:31:32.92\00:31:34.39 But this one sin made it necessary for him 00:31:35.92\00:31:39.09 to go through death. 00:31:39.13\00:31:40.80 And of course, he was resurrected and went to heaven. 00:31:41.13\00:31:43.30 But, you know, he was an extremely patient man, 00:31:43.73\00:31:46.33 but here he lost it. 00:31:46.37\00:31:47.74 And the Bible says that instead of speaking to the rock 00:31:47.94\00:31:50.87 and saying to the rock, "Please give me your water," 00:31:50.91\00:31:53.07 he took his rod and he struck the rock twice. 00:31:53.81\00:31:57.51 Now what was so terrible about Moses' sin? 00:31:58.81\00:32:01.25 Ellen White explains in, Patriarchs and Prophets, 00:32:01.58\00:32:03.69 page 418. 00:32:03.72\00:32:05.05 I use to wonder, you know, when I was a kid, 00:32:05.09\00:32:07.59 "Man, God punished Moses so drastically because of that one, 00:32:07.62\00:32:11.46 just smiting the rock the second time, you know." 00:32:11.56\00:32:15.06 And Moses was dying to enter the Promised Land with the people. 00:32:15.10\00:32:18.80 I mean, he had longed for that all 40 years. 00:32:18.83\00:32:21.80 And now God says, "You can't go in." 00:32:22.30\00:32:23.97 Just because he struck the rock. 00:32:24.47\00:32:26.04 What was so serious about that? 00:32:26.54\00:32:28.18 Something very serious. 00:32:28.44\00:32:29.94 Notice, Patriarchs and Prophets, 418. 00:32:29.98\00:32:32.38 Moses destroyed the symbolism that pointed to Jesus Christ. 00:33:01.08\00:33:04.85 That was the reason why his sin was so terrible. 00:33:05.38\00:33:08.88 He disfigured the symbol about Christ. 00:33:08.92\00:33:12.19 If we want the Holy Spirit today, Jesus doesn't have to 00:33:13.32\00:33:15.62 fall under the judgment of the Father again. 00:33:15.66\00:33:17.53 He doesn't have to die again. 00:33:17.56\00:33:18.89 Do you know there's a church in the world, 00:33:18.93\00:33:20.26 the Roman Catholic Church, that teaches that Jesus 00:33:20.30\00:33:22.46 dies anew in every single mass? 00:33:22.50\00:33:24.83 If there's a million masses being celebrated all over 00:33:26.43\00:33:28.97 the world, Jesus is being sacrificed a million times. 00:33:29.00\00:33:32.17 Time after time, after time, after time sacrificed anew. 00:33:32.47\00:33:36.85 If God excluded Moses from the Promised Land, 00:33:37.45\00:33:39.85 how does God look upon that? 00:33:39.88\00:33:41.65 Are you following me or not? 00:33:43.79\00:33:45.49 The book of Hebrews says that Jesus was sacrificed 00:33:45.75\00:33:48.12 once for all. 00:33:48.16\00:33:49.49 It says in the book of Hebrews, He needs to die no more. 00:33:49.52\00:33:52.33 Because He already died. 00:33:52.53\00:33:54.00 Once for all for the sins of the world. 00:33:54.30\00:33:57.33 Ellen White says in the book, In Heavenly Places, page 113... 00:33:58.57\00:34:02.24 So now what we want to take a look at is the geography 00:34:17.79\00:34:21.72 of the Sanctuary. 00:34:21.96\00:34:23.32 And I want you to notice that there are four key places 00:34:24.29\00:34:28.26 in the Sanctuary that we want to take a look at now. 00:34:28.30\00:34:30.43 We're not going to look at the Most Holy Place. 00:34:30.47\00:34:32.00 We're going to look at the first four places 00:34:32.27\00:34:34.34 of the Hebrew Sanctuary. 00:34:34.37\00:34:35.70 The first place is the camp. 00:34:36.20\00:34:38.04 We usually don't begin the Sanctuary at the camp, 00:34:38.44\00:34:40.31 but that's where we really need to begin, is at the camp. 00:34:40.34\00:34:42.88 Because that's where sinners lived. 00:34:43.08\00:34:44.51 And before Jesus went to the cross, 00:34:44.55\00:34:46.25 Jesus came to live in our midst. 00:34:46.35\00:34:48.25 See, before He died, He had to live a perfect life 00:34:48.58\00:34:50.85 in our midst. 00:34:50.89\00:34:52.22 And He did that in the camp where the people lived. 00:34:52.25\00:34:55.12 "The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." 00:34:55.69\00:34:58.76 See, that's where the Sanctuary begins; 00:34:58.79\00:35:00.80 with Jesus living in our midst. 00:35:00.90\00:35:02.43 And He had to live a life without sin, 00:35:02.53\00:35:05.77 because He had to offer the law that perfect life in our place. 00:35:05.80\00:35:09.17 Then after He lived His perfect life in the camp, 00:35:09.77\00:35:12.57 then Jesus went into the court. 00:35:12.77\00:35:14.74 And there you have the altar of sacrifice. 00:35:15.01\00:35:17.05 There's where animals were sacrificed 00:35:17.25\00:35:18.81 and placed on the altar. 00:35:18.85\00:35:20.18 After Jesus lived His perfect life, He was a blameless Lamb, 00:35:20.22\00:35:23.62 a perfect Lamb because He lived a perfect life, 00:35:23.65\00:35:25.85 now He goes to the cross and He is sacrificed 00:35:26.12\00:35:28.99 because He's bearing the sins of the world. 00:35:29.02\00:35:31.26 And so He's taking the next step in the Sanctuary. 00:35:31.93\00:35:34.23 From the camp where He lived His perfect life, 00:35:34.26\00:35:36.36 now He goes to the court where He dies 00:35:36.46\00:35:38.80 for the sins of the world. 00:35:38.83\00:35:40.24 And then the next piece of furniture that you have 00:35:40.50\00:35:42.50 in the court is the laver. 00:35:42.54\00:35:44.11 And the laver represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 00:35:44.64\00:35:48.51 It's called in Titus 3:5, the laver or the fountain 00:35:48.68\00:35:54.08 of regeneration. 00:35:54.12\00:35:55.55 To regenerate means, to give life to something 00:35:55.58\00:35:58.15 that has lost its life. 00:35:58.19\00:35:59.75 In other words, the laver is the place where the priest, 00:35:59.79\00:36:02.79 after he made the sacrifice he was full of blood 00:36:02.82\00:36:05.43 and full of the signs of death, he washes off all of the 00:36:05.46\00:36:08.76 vestiges of death before He goes into the Holy Place. 00:36:08.80\00:36:12.03 And so Jesus dies, He's in the tomb, 00:36:12.23\00:36:14.90 but He resurrects from the dead and He cleanses Himself 00:36:15.00\00:36:18.01 totally and completely from death when He 00:36:18.04\00:36:20.54 resurrects from the dead. 00:36:20.58\00:36:21.91 So we have the steps of Jesus in the Sanctuary. 00:36:22.11\00:36:25.21 We have His perfect life in the camp, 00:36:25.25\00:36:27.65 then we have His death at the altar of sacrifice, 00:36:27.75\00:36:30.52 we have His resurrection at the laver. 00:36:30.55\00:36:32.32 And now let me ask you, where is the next place in the Sanctuary 00:36:32.42\00:36:36.62 after the laver? 00:36:36.66\00:36:37.99 The next place after the laver is the Holy Place 00:36:38.49\00:36:41.73 of the Sanctuary. 00:36:41.76\00:36:43.10 You have the entrance, and then you have the Holy Place. 00:36:43.13\00:36:45.67 Do you know that many are teaching today that Jesus 00:36:45.87\00:36:48.34 went directly into the Most Holy Place when He 00:36:48.37\00:36:50.17 ascended to heaven? 00:36:50.21\00:36:51.54 And I say, "Well, what about the Holy Place? 00:36:51.91\00:36:54.08 Did He jump over the Holy Place?" 00:36:54.11\00:36:55.88 Of course not. 00:36:57.31\00:36:58.65 Because the next place in the Sanctuary after the camp, 00:36:58.85\00:37:01.98 after the altar, after the laver, was the Holy Place. 00:37:02.25\00:37:05.52 Not the Most Holy Place. 00:37:05.55\00:37:07.32 So in the temple geography, the next place after Jesus 00:37:07.36\00:37:11.59 died and resurrected would be His function or His service 00:37:11.63\00:37:16.97 in the Holy Place of the Sanctuary. 00:37:17.00\00:37:19.23 And that's where Jesus went when He ascended to heaven. 00:37:19.27\00:37:22.30 He went to the Holy Place of the Sanctuary. 00:37:22.50\00:37:25.47 Now I want us to notice Revelation 4:5. 00:37:26.44\00:37:29.88 This is very interesting. 00:37:29.91\00:37:31.28 We already took a look at this in our first study together, 00:37:31.65\00:37:35.25 but now we want to review that in the context of 00:37:35.28\00:37:37.69 what we're studying today. 00:37:37.72\00:37:39.05 Revelation 4:5 00:37:39.29\00:37:41.12 You remember that Revelation chapter 4 is describing the 00:37:41.22\00:37:45.16 preparation of the heavenly throne room 00:37:45.19\00:37:47.26 for the return of Jesus to heaven. 00:37:47.30\00:37:49.43 And the throne room, of course, is the Holy Place 00:37:49.66\00:37:51.77 of the Sanctuary. 00:37:51.80\00:37:53.13 Because there is the candlestick, 00:37:53.17\00:37:55.34 the seven lamps of the candlestick, 00:37:55.44\00:37:57.11 and there is also the altar of incense, 00:37:57.14\00:37:59.67 according to what we've studied. 00:37:59.81\00:38:01.14 And so the place is being prepared, in Revelation 4, 00:38:01.21\00:38:04.71 for the return of the war Hero to the Holy Place 00:38:04.75\00:38:07.48 of the Sanctuary. 00:38:07.52\00:38:08.85 And of course, the Father is waiting for Him, 00:38:08.88\00:38:10.85 the cherubim and seraphim are waiting for Him, 00:38:10.89\00:38:13.19 the representatives of the worlds are waiting for Him. 00:38:13.22\00:38:15.82 And we're going to notice that the Holy Spirit 00:38:16.02\00:38:17.53 is waiting for Him as well. 00:38:17.56\00:38:18.89 Notice Revelation 4:5. 00:38:18.93\00:38:20.83 It says... 00:38:20.93\00:38:22.26 And what was there? 00:38:29.94\00:38:31.27 So what was present there? 00:38:38.71\00:38:40.82 Seven lamps, which represent the seven Spirits. 00:38:42.35\00:38:46.15 We're not dealing with seven Holy Spirits. 00:38:46.19\00:38:48.29 The number seven means, fullness or completeness. 00:38:48.32\00:38:51.09 So let me ask you, in Revelation chapter 4 is the Holy Spirit 00:38:51.13\00:38:54.03 present there in a symbolic way, expressed in a symbolic way? 00:38:54.06\00:38:57.33 Absolutely. 00:38:57.37\00:38:58.70 It simply says there that, "The seven lamps of fire 00:38:58.73\00:39:02.00 were burning before the throne, 00:39:02.04\00:39:03.37 which are the seven Spirit of God." 00:39:03.41\00:39:04.74 So in Revelation chapter 4 the seven Spirits are simply there 00:39:04.77\00:39:08.24 in the Holy Place. 00:39:08.28\00:39:09.61 But then we're going to notice that the Lamb arrives, 00:39:09.88\00:39:12.88 in chapter 5. 00:39:12.91\00:39:14.25 We've studied this. 00:39:14.28\00:39:15.62 And then something happens with the seven Spirits 00:39:15.65\00:39:17.89 when the Lamb arrives. 00:39:17.92\00:39:19.25 Notice Revelation 5:6. 00:39:19.59\00:39:21.99 The very next chapter is where Jesus arrives 00:39:22.02\00:39:24.43 upon His ascension. 00:39:24.76\00:39:26.09 It says there in Revelation 5:6... 00:39:26.13\00:39:28.53 So at this point has Jesus died already? 00:39:40.11\00:39:42.21 Of course. 00:39:42.54\00:39:43.88 But is He alive? Of course. 00:39:43.91\00:39:45.98 He's presenting Himself alive, but He still has the wounds 00:39:46.01\00:39:49.62 fresh on His body. 00:39:49.85\00:39:51.19 Are you with me or not? 00:39:51.22\00:39:52.55 And so it says... 00:39:52.59\00:39:53.92 Now notice a very interesting detail. 00:40:04.07\00:40:06.07 And now what happens to the seven Spirits? 00:40:08.50\00:40:10.07 They were there in chapter 4, 00:40:10.11\00:40:11.54 but now something is going to happen. 00:40:11.57\00:40:12.94 It says... 00:40:13.11\00:40:14.44 What historical occasion are we talking about here 00:40:21.82\00:40:24.15 when the seven Spirits were sent out to the earth? 00:40:24.19\00:40:27.72 It is the day of Pentecost. 00:40:28.16\00:40:29.92 And so what is being described in Revelation 4 and 5 00:40:30.33\00:40:33.56 is what happened on the day of Pentecost. 00:40:33.66\00:40:35.70 Jesus appears before His Father as the Lamb. 00:40:35.90\00:40:38.93 You see, He's been stricken, smitten by the 00:40:39.67\00:40:41.80 rod of God's judgment. 00:40:41.84\00:40:43.24 And He's been resurrected. 00:40:43.77\00:40:45.11 Because He has the wounds, but He's presenting Himself 00:40:45.14\00:40:47.38 there alive. 00:40:47.41\00:40:48.74 And so He comes before His Father and He shows, 00:40:48.78\00:40:51.21 we've read this before, He shows His Father the wounds. 00:40:51.25\00:40:54.58 And He says, "Father, is My sacrifice sufficient 00:40:54.75\00:40:57.79 to save My people?" 00:40:57.82\00:40:59.15 The Father says, "Yes, it is sufficient." 00:40:59.19\00:41:00.79 And then, what is poured out on earth as a result 00:41:00.89\00:41:05.19 of the sacrifice of Christ and the acceptance of His sacrifice? 00:41:05.23\00:41:08.56 The Holy Spirit is poured out. 00:41:08.66\00:41:10.43 And you know what? 00:41:10.47\00:41:11.80 The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost 00:41:11.83\00:41:14.17 was simply the signal that the sacrifice of Christ 00:41:14.37\00:41:17.21 had been accepted by His Father in heaven. 00:41:17.24\00:41:19.24 Just like were there tongues of fire on the day of Pentecost? 00:41:19.97\00:41:23.41 Yes. What was the purpose of the tongues of fire? 00:41:23.51\00:41:26.05 The purpose was, God was saying, "Listen, the Lamb 00:41:26.45\00:41:29.12 has presented Himself, the Lamb as though it had been slain, 00:41:29.15\00:41:32.02 has presented Himself to the Father. 00:41:32.05\00:41:33.79 And look, just like the fire would fall upon the altar, 00:41:33.99\00:41:36.86 here's the fire falling down, showing that the Father 00:41:36.96\00:41:40.10 has accepted His sacrifice." 00:41:40.13\00:41:41.96 And so the purpose of the fire on the day of Pentecost, 00:41:43.26\00:41:46.17 or the water coming out of the rock, which represents 00:41:46.27\00:41:48.77 the Holy Spirit, is to let the disciples know that Jesus 00:41:48.80\00:41:52.74 has presented Himself before His Father 00:41:52.77\00:41:54.74 and His sacrifice has been fully accepted. 00:41:54.78\00:41:58.08 Now, where do we fit in? 00:41:59.55\00:42:01.98 Let me ask you, what good would it do for Jesus 00:42:03.28\00:42:07.46 to have begun His ministry in the heavenly Sanctuary, 00:42:08.36\00:42:12.46 to have poured out the Holy Spirit, 00:42:12.86\00:42:14.96 if nobody on earth knew about it? 00:42:15.30\00:42:18.00 Would that be very useful? 00:42:19.90\00:42:21.50 It would be totally useless. 00:42:22.27\00:42:24.57 Did other people need to know that Jesus had now 00:42:24.77\00:42:27.18 been installed as the High Priest, as the Mediator, 00:42:27.21\00:42:29.98 as the Intercessor, and that people could now come to Him 00:42:30.01\00:42:33.21 in faith and they could also drink the water? 00:42:33.25\00:42:35.58 And that after drinking the water, they could go forth 00:42:36.12\00:42:38.69 and they could share the water with others? 00:42:38.79\00:42:41.29 And they would drink the water and then they would be able to 00:42:41.32\00:42:43.56 share with others. 00:42:43.59\00:42:44.93 Did the disciples need to go out now and let the water flow 00:42:45.19\00:42:48.56 from them that they had received on the day of Pentecost? 00:42:48.60\00:42:51.53 Absolutely. 00:42:51.57\00:42:52.90 And so the mission of the apostles was to go to the world. 00:42:53.30\00:42:56.57 They had drunk the water because they had trusted 00:42:56.81\00:42:58.77 and believed in Jesus. 00:42:58.81\00:43:00.14 And now their role is to go out and to let the water 00:43:00.18\00:43:03.24 flow from their hearts to other people. 00:43:03.28\00:43:06.35 Because Jesus lived a perfect life in our place, 00:43:07.72\00:43:10.59 and because Jesus died on the cross, 00:43:11.55\00:43:13.79 He could now intercede for sinners. 00:43:13.99\00:43:16.02 See, Jesus could now take His life and He could take His death 00:43:16.06\00:43:19.63 and He could credit those to those who believe in Him. 00:43:19.66\00:43:22.20 You see, Jesus died on the cross, He died for everyone, 00:43:23.06\00:43:26.27 but that doesn't mean that everyone is going to be saved? 00:43:26.30\00:43:28.87 Does that mean that everyone is going to be saved? 00:43:29.54\00:43:31.64 Did Jesus live for everyone on planet earth? 00:43:31.67\00:43:33.84 Yes He did. 00:43:33.88\00:43:35.21 Did He die for everyone on planet earth? 00:43:35.24\00:43:36.75 Of course. 00:43:36.78\00:43:38.11 You say, "Well, if He lived for all and He died for all, 00:43:38.15\00:43:40.28 then everybody is going to be saved." 00:43:40.32\00:43:41.98 No. You see, you have to come and you have to claim 00:43:42.08\00:43:46.29 His life and His death as your own. 00:43:46.55\00:43:48.62 You have to trust or have faith in Him, or believe in Him. 00:43:48.96\00:43:52.26 You have to repent and confess your sins 00:43:52.86\00:43:54.83 and trust in Jesus. 00:43:54.86\00:43:56.40 And then Jesus will take His life and His death and He will 00:43:56.50\00:43:59.60 place them to your account. 00:43:59.63\00:44:01.00 And God will look upon you as if you had never sinned. 00:44:01.04\00:44:03.44 That's the work that Jesus does in heaven, 00:44:04.27\00:44:06.17 beginning with the day of Pentecost. 00:44:07.01\00:44:08.71 The provision has already been made. 00:44:09.11\00:44:10.88 He's already lived the life and He's already died the death. 00:44:10.91\00:44:13.65 He's only waiting for us to personally come and claim them 00:44:13.68\00:44:17.05 by taking the right steps. 00:44:17.09\00:44:18.72 Are you with me or not? 00:44:18.75\00:44:20.09 Now let me read you this statement from Ellen White. 00:44:20.49\00:44:22.42 A very interesting statement. 00:44:22.46\00:44:23.79 Story of Redemption, 386, where Ellen White is describing 00:44:23.83\00:44:27.73 what happened on the day of Pentecost, 00:44:28.66\00:44:31.07 how Jesus was ministering in heaven. 00:44:31.10\00:44:34.00 She says on page 386, Story of Redemption... 00:44:34.04\00:44:36.71 So He won the benefits while He was on earth, 00:45:13.94\00:45:16.14 and He says, "Come and claim them now as your own. 00:45:16.18\00:45:20.78 As your personal property." 00:45:21.28\00:45:22.88 And by the way, the Christian world believes that 00:45:23.28\00:45:25.99 Jesus forgave everybody at the cross. 00:45:26.02\00:45:28.66 You know, I go to Adventist churches and I ask the question, 00:45:29.19\00:45:31.59 "Did Jesus forgive everyone's sins at the cross?" 00:45:32.09\00:45:34.46 And everybody says, "Amen." 00:45:34.50\00:45:36.06 And I say, "What theological planet are you on?" 00:45:36.77\00:45:40.14 Jesus did not forgive people's sins at the cross. 00:45:40.90\00:45:43.47 Jesus made provision to forgive people's sins at the cross. 00:45:43.57\00:45:46.98 My Bible tells me that if we confess our sins, 00:45:47.01\00:45:50.28 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins 00:45:50.31\00:45:52.85 and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 00:45:52.88\00:45:54.95 He made provision by His perfect life and His death 00:45:55.18\00:45:58.25 to forgive sin, but I must come to Him in repentance, 00:45:58.29\00:46:01.42 in confession, trusting in Him with a desire to overcome sin. 00:46:01.46\00:46:05.59 And then Jesus will take His life and His death 00:46:05.73\00:46:08.00 and He will place them to my account, 00:46:08.03\00:46:09.70 and God will look upon me as if I had never sinned. 00:46:09.73\00:46:13.23 That's what the Bible teaches. 00:46:13.64\00:46:15.27 So the mission of the disciples was to receive 00:46:16.00\00:46:19.41 the Spirit on the day of Pentecost to give. 00:46:19.44\00:46:23.11 Notice what we find in Acts 1:7-8. 00:46:23.51\00:46:29.42 And what I want you to see here is that the expression, 00:46:29.52\00:46:32.32 "you shall," is used twice. 00:46:32.35\00:46:34.49 "You shall," is used twice. 00:46:35.82\00:46:37.79 And I want you to notice the connection between the two. 00:46:37.83\00:46:40.33 Acts 1:7-8 00:46:40.36\00:46:42.73 Here, Jesus is about to ascend to heaven. 00:46:43.30\00:46:45.57 This is happening ten days, this is ten days before 00:46:58.68\00:47:01.62 the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost. 00:47:01.65\00:47:03.25 Okay? Ten days before. 00:47:03.28\00:47:04.75 Jesus is saying... 00:47:05.15\00:47:06.49 So what is the first step? 00:47:13.09\00:47:14.76 They shall what? Receive power. 00:47:14.80\00:47:16.80 But now notice the second, "you shall." 00:47:17.10\00:47:19.10 So the first, "you shall," is, you are going to what? 00:47:24.01\00:47:26.71 Receive power. 00:47:27.08\00:47:28.41 And what is the purpose of receiving the power? 00:47:28.44\00:47:30.38 "You shall be witnesses to Me..." 00:47:30.88\00:47:33.11 Where? 00:47:33.31\00:47:34.65 What is the purpose of receiving the power of the Holy Spirit? 00:47:41.46\00:47:45.89 It is to be a what? 00:47:46.29\00:47:48.73 It is to be a witness. 00:47:48.83\00:47:51.80 You drink the water to give the water. 00:47:51.83\00:47:55.40 You receive the light to impart the light. 00:47:55.97\00:47:59.01 Isn't this a marvelous thought? 00:47:59.67\00:48:01.24 And that's what happens on the day of Pentecost. 00:48:01.54\00:48:03.85 On the day of Pentecost, Jesus pours out His Holy Spirit 00:48:03.88\00:48:07.22 upon the apostles. 00:48:07.25\00:48:08.58 And the apostles now are all full of water. 00:48:09.22\00:48:11.59 And they say, "What shall we do with this water?" 00:48:12.02\00:48:14.12 Jesus says, "Ah, you've got to be a fountain. 00:48:14.16\00:48:16.22 You've got to continue giving, and you'll continue receiving." 00:48:16.26\00:48:19.36 Marvelous thought. 00:48:20.16\00:48:21.50 Now there's a biblical example of this, 00:48:22.76\00:48:24.87 with which I want to end our study. 00:48:24.90\00:48:26.84 Jesus once met with a woman in Samaria. 00:48:28.04\00:48:32.31 She's known as the Samaritan woman. 00:48:32.34\00:48:34.94 The story is found in John chapter 4. 00:48:35.48\00:48:37.95 And this woman came to draw water at noon. 00:48:38.58\00:48:42.62 Which is very unusual in the Holy Land, because people 00:48:42.98\00:48:45.02 don't draw water at noon. 00:48:45.05\00:48:47.12 They come early in the morning or late in the afternoon 00:48:47.16\00:48:49.36 when it's cool, because it gets very hot. 00:48:49.39\00:48:51.26 And so this woman, you know, she had a reputation. 00:48:51.76\00:48:54.46 She didn't want to meet with people 00:48:54.50\00:48:56.70 because she had kind of a immoral life. 00:48:56.73\00:48:59.43 She had five men in her life, and the one she was living with 00:48:59.47\00:49:02.60 wasn't her own husband. 00:49:02.64\00:49:04.14 And so she didn't want to see anybody. 00:49:04.17\00:49:06.47 So she comes to draw water and Jesus is sitting there. 00:49:06.51\00:49:09.51 And He says to the woman, "Give me water to drink." 00:49:09.91\00:49:14.32 And the woman immediately says to Him, "How is it that You, 00:49:15.92\00:49:18.79 being a Jew, would ask a Samaritan for water?" 00:49:18.82\00:49:22.59 Now I want you to notice that this woman grows in her 00:49:23.26\00:49:26.29 consciousness of who Christ is. 00:49:26.39\00:49:28.06 First, He's a Jew. 00:49:28.70\00:49:30.17 "How is it that You, a Jew..." 00:49:30.20\00:49:31.53 Then when Jesus reveals the secrets of her heart, 00:49:31.60\00:49:34.74 the men that she's had in her life, she says, 00:49:35.44\00:49:37.61 "Hmm, I believe that You're a prophet." 00:49:37.64\00:49:39.74 And then a little later on, when Jesus gives her 00:49:40.21\00:49:42.94 the water of life, she says, "I believe that You're the 00:49:42.98\00:49:45.15 Messiah and the Savior." 00:49:45.18\00:49:46.95 She grows in her understanding. 00:49:46.98\00:49:48.48 And so Jesus says, "You know, this water that you draw from 00:49:49.08\00:49:51.89 this well, oh, you drink and a little while later 00:49:51.92\00:49:54.99 you're thirsty again. 00:49:55.02\00:49:56.36 But I have water that if you drink of it, 00:49:56.39\00:49:57.86 you'll never thirst again." 00:49:57.89\00:49:59.23 And she says, "Jesus, I want that water." 00:49:59.29\00:50:00.90 Let's read about it in John 4:13-14. 00:50:00.93\00:50:05.23 John 4:13-14 00:50:05.27\00:50:08.90 Because it's simply H2O. 00:50:15.01\00:50:17.11 See, the water flows from Jesus, right? 00:50:25.75\00:50:27.86 Are you catching the picture? 00:50:44.21\00:50:45.57 You drink the water, and then what happens? 00:50:46.24\00:50:48.64 You become what? 00:50:48.68\00:50:50.01 You become a fountain of water. 00:50:50.18\00:50:51.88 That's what it says. 00:50:52.21\00:50:53.55 "But the water that I shall give Him..." 00:50:53.58\00:50:55.18 You drink from the fountain, and you then become a fountain. 00:51:01.39\00:51:04.83 You become a tributary, in other words. 00:51:05.46\00:51:08.56 And so this woman accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. 00:51:09.73\00:51:12.10 She accepted Christ as the Messiah, 00:51:12.13\00:51:15.20 and she drank the water. 00:51:15.24\00:51:16.64 And what did she do? 00:51:17.67\00:51:19.01 She said, "Thank You, Lord, for the benefits of salvation. 00:51:19.64\00:51:23.01 See You later." 00:51:23.04\00:51:24.38 No. 00:51:24.51\00:51:25.85 She went back to her town, to Sychar. 00:51:25.98\00:51:28.85 And now she wasn't afraid of meeting people. 00:51:30.19\00:51:31.99 She wasn't embarrassed. 00:51:32.02\00:51:33.36 She went from house to house. 00:51:33.39\00:51:34.82 And with joy, you know, with a spring in her step, 00:51:35.06\00:51:39.19 and with a smile on her face. 00:51:40.16\00:51:41.86 People say, "Wow, she's really been changed. 00:51:42.26\00:51:44.63 What happened with her?" 00:51:44.67\00:51:46.00 She says, "I found the Messiah." 00:51:46.03\00:51:47.54 "Really?" 00:51:48.80\00:51:50.14 "Yes, you've got to come and listen to Him. 00:51:50.17\00:51:52.44 It's amazing." 00:51:52.57\00:51:53.91 And so she recruited the whole town. 00:51:54.14\00:51:56.04 And the whole town she brought to meet Jesus. 00:51:56.75\00:52:00.22 While she was coming, the disciples came back. 00:52:00.85\00:52:04.05 Jesus had sent them to get some food. 00:52:04.32\00:52:06.59 And so they came to Jesus and said, "Lord, here's the food 00:52:06.76\00:52:09.19 that You sent us to get." 00:52:09.22\00:52:10.56 And Jesus said, "My food and My drink is to do My Father's will 00:52:10.59\00:52:14.53 and to finish His work." 00:52:14.56\00:52:16.16 And the disciples, you know, they didn't get it. 00:52:16.26\00:52:18.53 They say, "Well, maybe somebody brought Him some food 00:52:18.57\00:52:20.84 while we were gone." 00:52:20.87\00:52:22.20 They didn't get it. 00:52:22.30\00:52:23.64 And then it says in John chapter 4 that Jesus 00:52:24.01\00:52:26.68 pointed out and He said, "You've heard that there's 00:52:26.71\00:52:29.24 four months until the harvest." 00:52:29.28\00:52:30.91 Jesus says, "No." 00:52:31.38\00:52:32.71 He says, "Look at the fields. 00:52:32.85\00:52:34.95 They're ripe already for the harvest." 00:52:34.98\00:52:37.55 And if you read, Desire of Ages, Ellen White states that 00:52:38.02\00:52:41.62 Jesus was not pointing at fields of wheat or fields of barley. 00:52:41.72\00:52:46.23 He was pointing at this woman who was coming with the entire 00:52:46.59\00:52:50.70 town of Sychar, bringing them to hear the words of Jesus Christ. 00:52:50.73\00:52:55.30 Those were the fields that were ripe for the harvest. 00:52:55.84\00:52:58.64 She had accepted Christ as her Savior, 00:52:58.81\00:53:02.71 and now she became a missionary. 00:53:02.74\00:53:04.75 She drank from the fountain, and now she became a fountain. 00:53:04.78\00:53:08.08 She received the light of the sun, and now she 00:53:08.28\00:53:11.75 became the light. 00:53:11.79\00:53:13.59 I'd like to read you a statement from Ellen White 00:53:15.12\00:53:17.53 about this woman. 00:53:17.73\00:53:19.06 It's found in, Ministry of Healing, page 102. 00:53:19.39\00:53:22.43 Ellen White states... 00:53:23.97\00:53:25.30 They said, "Don't waste Your time in Samaria. 00:53:37.68\00:53:39.61 There's no souls there." 00:53:39.91\00:53:41.25 That's what they were saying. 00:53:42.05\00:53:43.39 Ah, but they thought like many Adventists think. 00:53:44.09\00:53:47.06 See, many Adventists say, "Well you know, 00:53:47.09\00:53:48.86 we're not progressing and growing much today, 00:53:48.89\00:53:51.49 but when the Holy Spirit falls in the future, 00:53:51.53\00:53:53.93 there's going to be a great harvest of souls." 00:53:54.03\00:53:56.16 The disciples thought that way. 00:53:57.07\00:53:58.63 Ellen White continues saying... 00:53:58.73\00:54:00.14 There is an impractical faith, which means that you believe 00:54:29.13\00:54:32.00 up here, but it doesn't impact or affect the way that you live. 00:54:32.03\00:54:36.37 You see, when you truly love Jesus, you want to tell 00:54:37.21\00:54:40.08 everybody about Him. 00:54:40.11\00:54:41.44 And if you don't feel that strong urge to tell everybody 00:54:42.31\00:54:45.51 about Him, then it's because You don't truly love Him. 00:54:45.55\00:54:49.08 Ellen White continues saying in, Ministry of Healing, 00:54:50.09\00:54:53.09 page 102-103... 00:54:53.12\00:54:54.82 And then comes that famous statement 00:55:00.30\00:55:02.00 that we've all read before. 00:55:02.03\00:55:03.37 I'll repeat that again. 00:55:10.77\00:55:12.11 "Every true disciple is born into the kingdom of God 00:55:12.14\00:55:15.54 as a missionary..." 00:55:15.58\00:55:16.91 Isn't that a magnificent description of this woman? 00:56:07.80\00:56:11.13 And so what is the greatest sign that a person truly 00:56:11.90\00:56:15.37 has known Christ and truly loves Christ? 00:56:15.44\00:56:19.01 The greatest sign, folks, is not that you speak in tongues, 00:56:19.21\00:56:23.41 or that you perform miracles, or that you prophesy, 00:56:23.61\00:56:26.98 or you cast out demons, or you perform all these 00:56:27.02\00:56:29.98 magnificent supernatural wonders like the Christian world 00:56:30.02\00:56:32.82 teaches today. 00:56:32.85\00:56:34.19 It is the fact that you have an uncontrollable desire to go out 00:56:34.69\00:56:41.20 and share the experience that you have with Jesus Christ 00:56:41.23\00:56:45.30 as your Savior and as your Lord. 00:56:45.33\00:56:47.24 It is the acid test of your relationship, 00:56:47.44\00:56:50.31 your true genuine relationship, with Jesus Christ. 00:56:50.41\00:56:53.64 You cannot keep Him inside. 00:56:53.68\00:56:55.48 You must proclaim Him from the rooftops. 00:56:55.51\00:56:58.25 He is the wonderful Savior. 00:56:58.28\00:56:59.91 Come and meet Him and know Him, and see for yourself 00:57:00.02\00:57:03.62 that life is good when we receive Jesus Christ 00:57:03.65\00:57:06.69 as our Savior and Lord. 00:57:06.72\00:57:08.72
