00:00:12.37\00:00:18.01 Be amazed, at Bible messages 00:00:18.04\00:00:20.49 embedded within ancient Chinese characters 00:00:20.52\00:00:23.62 that are older than even the time of Moses. 00:00:23.65\00:00:28.04 So sit back, grab a friend and be astounded 00:00:28.07\00:00:31.34 by this fact filled presentation 00:00:31.37\00:00:33.74 that has opened ordinance everywhere. 00:00:33.77\00:00:39.57 If you are traveling in an arrowed landscape 00:00:39.60\00:00:44.77 with your friends, a long time ago, 00:00:44.80\00:00:49.12 you're on a camel 00:00:49.15\00:00:50.24 and you're friends are on a camel 00:00:50.27\00:00:53.51 and you've got a long journey a head of you. 00:00:53.54\00:00:56.41 And you are using something in the sky to guide you, 00:00:56.44\00:01:02.28 to give you direction and position. 00:01:02.31\00:01:06.50 So that you'll reach your destination 00:01:06.53\00:01:08.14 and it's a long journey. 00:01:08.17\00:01:09.43 This is gonna take more than two months, 00:01:09.46\00:01:13.39 would a star be more useful to you, 00:01:13.42\00:01:16.70 or would a comet be more useful to you, 00:01:16.73\00:01:20.47 which of these two heavenly phenomena 00:01:20.50\00:01:25.50 would be more useful 00:01:25.53\00:01:26.56 from a navigation point of view. 00:01:26.59\00:01:29.35 I'd put it to you that perhaps a comet, 00:01:29.38\00:01:31.46 because it has a head and a tail. 00:01:31.49\00:01:35.14 The Chinese's astronomers were far more advanced 00:01:35.17\00:01:39.78 than their western counterparts. 00:01:39.81\00:01:42.04 The Chinese astronomers according to NASA 00:01:42.07\00:01:46.11 kept very meticulous records about comets 00:01:46.14\00:01:49.09 when they appeared, when they disappeared, 00:01:49.12\00:01:52.73 and these records were called Comet Atlases. 00:01:52.76\00:01:57.93 And a typical comet atlas looks something like this. 00:01:57.96\00:02:03.93 Doesn't mean much to an American, 00:02:03.96\00:02:05.44 or an Australian, or an Englishman, 00:02:05.47\00:02:07.29 but to the Chinese people this is a detailed record 00:02:07.32\00:02:11.48 of when a comet appeared in the sky, 00:02:11.51\00:02:13.48 and how long it lasted? 00:02:13.51\00:02:14.99 And when it appeared? 00:02:15.02\00:02:19.21 On the 9th of March, 5 BC, 00:02:19.24\00:02:22.70 this record appeared in the astronomy records 00:02:22.73\00:02:27.23 of the book of the Han Dynasty 00:02:27.26\00:02:29.95 and translated into English 00:02:29.98\00:02:32.38 it reads "In the second month of the second year, 00:02:32.41\00:02:36.70 of Jian Ping, the comet was out of Altair." 00:02:36.73\00:02:41.33 Altair is a star, this comet came out of a star 00:02:41.36\00:02:45.03 and it lasted for more than 70 days. 00:02:45.06\00:02:48.82 And It is said, "Comets appear to signify the old 00:02:48.85\00:02:52.26 being replaced by the new." 00:02:52.29\00:02:55.02 "Altair, the sun, the moon, and the five stars 00:02:55.05\00:02:57.45 are in movement to signify the beginning of a new epoch, 00:02:57.48\00:03:02.96 the beginning of a new year, a new month and a new day." 00:03:02.99\00:03:06.74 This is dated that 9th of March, 5 BC. 00:03:06.77\00:03:11.64 That's Altair, it's in the constellation of Aquila, 00:03:11.67\00:03:15.45 its' the brightest star in the constellation of Aquila. 00:03:15.48\00:03:18.16 And the Chinese astronomers are saying, 00:03:18.19\00:03:20.55 "On the 9th of March, 5 BC, this comet appeared out of, 00:03:20.58\00:03:24.88 seemingly appeared out of the star 00:03:24.91\00:03:27.68 and it lasted for more than 70 days." 00:03:27.71\00:03:35.05 The appearance of this comet undoubtedly symbolizes change. 00:03:35.08\00:03:39.77 They said, "The extended appearance of the comet 00:03:39.80\00:03:43.03 for more than 70 days 00:03:43.06\00:03:46.11 indicates that this is of great importance." 00:03:46.14\00:03:50.33 And there is the reference on the screen. 00:03:50.36\00:03:53.21 The Bible says, "The wise men who came to visit Jesus Christ 00:03:53.24\00:03:59.24 who was to be born in Bethlehem." 00:03:59.27\00:04:03.15 They said, "We've seen His star 00:04:03.18\00:04:05.88 in the east and we've come to worship Him." 00:04:05.91\00:04:08.95 The wise men thought it was a star. 00:04:08.98\00:04:12.17 The Chinese astronomers who knew nothing about this 00:04:12.20\00:04:15.57 thought it was a comet. 00:04:15.60\00:04:16.92 To them it looked like a comet, 00:04:16.95\00:04:19.24 to the wise men it looked like a star. 00:04:19.27\00:04:25.26 This record is dated 31 AD, 00:04:25.29\00:04:28.87 and it's in the history of The Later Han Dynasty 00:04:28.90\00:04:31.76 and there is the reference and it says, 00:04:31.79\00:04:34.43 "Summer, fourth month of the year 00:04:34.46\00:04:36.38 on the day of Ren Wu, the imperial edict reads, 00:04:36.41\00:04:39.76 'Yen and Yang have mistakenly switched, 00:04:39.79\00:04:43.33 and the sun and moon were eclipsed. 00:04:43.36\00:04:47.43 The signs of all-- 00:04:47.46\00:04:48.90 The sins of all the people are now on one man. 00:04:48.93\00:04:56.23 Pardon is proclaimed to all under heaven.'" 00:04:56.26\00:05:01.55 They knew nothing about Jesus and this is dated 31 AD. 00:05:01.58\00:05:06.82 They knew nothing about Jesus Christ, 00:05:06.85\00:05:09.12 but in their soul, in their spirit, 00:05:09.15\00:05:12.04 they felt that this sudden eclipse of the sun, 00:05:12.07\00:05:17.33 unexpectedly meant that 00:05:17.36\00:05:20.37 the sins of people were pardoned 00:05:20.40\00:05:23.26 and had been placed on one man, that's amazing, isn't it? 00:05:23.29\00:05:29.46 And then it goes on to say 00:05:29.49\00:05:30.92 "The Eclipse on the day of Gui Hai, 00:05:30.95\00:05:33.35 Man from heaven died." 00:05:33.38\00:05:37.23 How did the Chinese people know this? 00:05:37.26\00:05:40.32 They're in China, Jesus Christ 00:05:40.35\00:05:42.91 was being crucified in Jerusalem. 00:05:42.94\00:05:46.67 They knew nothing about it, 00:05:46.70\00:05:48.73 but in their records when they saw this eclipse. 00:05:48.76\00:05:52.53 These imperial astronomers wrote 00:05:52.56\00:05:56.42 "Man from heaven has died." 00:05:56.45\00:06:01.05 Then three days later, 00:06:01.08\00:06:07.03 there was halo around the sun, 00:06:07.06\00:06:10.23 360 degrees rainbow halo, 3 days later. 00:06:10.26\00:06:14.61 "During the reign of Emperor Guang Wu, 00:06:14.64\00:06:16.12 on the day of Bing Yin of the fourth month Jiang Wu, 00:06:16.15\00:06:19.99 a halo, a rainbow encircled the sun," 00:06:20.02\00:06:24.26 three days later. 00:06:24.29\00:06:26.05 So folks, here is the resurrection 00:06:26.08\00:06:28.76 of Jesus Christ. 00:06:28.79\00:06:30.78 They didn't know what they were writing. 00:06:30.81\00:06:33.14 They were simply recording what they saw, 00:06:33.17\00:06:36.47 not knowing what it meant. 00:06:36.50\00:06:38.44 And so here folks to start 00:06:38.47\00:06:40.55 of this amazing message tonight, 00:06:40.58\00:06:44.34 we have three evidences, 00:06:44.37\00:06:47.57 where the Chinese astronomers unknowing to them, 00:06:47.60\00:06:51.08 pinpointed the year of Christ birth, 00:06:51.11\00:06:55.74 the year of His death, 00:06:55.77\00:06:59.02 and three days later His resurrection. 00:06:59.05\00:07:01.69 And I hope if you watching, I've now got your attention. 00:07:01.72\00:07:05.58 Because this is the type of evidence 00:07:05.61\00:07:07.93 that we're gonna present. 00:07:07.96\00:07:10.31 New to westerners, new to Chinese listeners, 00:07:10.34\00:07:15.89 and Asian listeners, 00:07:15.92\00:07:17.52 perhaps you've never heard this before. 00:07:17.55\00:07:19.89 But what you are going to hear tonight 00:07:19.92\00:07:22.23 and for the rest of the message is even more amazing. 00:07:22.26\00:07:27.84 The ancient Chinese 00:07:27.87\00:07:31.76 have amazing contributions to make to the world 00:07:31.79\00:07:35.62 and they confirmed the book of Genesis. 00:07:35.65\00:07:39.70 They confirmed the story of Genesis, 00:07:39.73\00:07:43.43 and if Genesis is not true, folks, 00:07:43.46\00:07:46.00 then you can through the Bible away. 00:07:46.03\00:07:48.51 Because if the first book is wrong, 00:07:48.54\00:07:50.48 the other 65 books of the Bible are wrong. 00:07:50.51\00:07:53.70 Because Genesis talks about sin, and creation, 00:07:53.73\00:07:56.97 and the flood, and the Tower of Bable, 00:07:57.00\00:07:59.31 and if all those things are just a story 00:07:59.34\00:08:02.47 and there is no reality there, then the whole Bible is wrong. 00:08:02.50\00:08:06.73 Because the other 65 books of the Bible 00:08:06.76\00:08:09.15 are based on the veracity of Genesis. 00:08:09.18\00:08:14.14 So during this presentation, 00:08:14.17\00:08:15.78 we're going to touchup on these four areas. 00:08:15.81\00:08:18.25 What did the Chinese say about creation? 00:08:18.28\00:08:20.57 What did the Chinese say about the fall of man? 00:08:20.60\00:08:22.95 What did the Chinese say about 00:08:22.98\00:08:24.28 the flood and the Tower of Bable? 00:08:24.31\00:08:28.68 But we need a very quick lesson in Chinese tonight. 00:08:28.71\00:08:32.45 For those of us, who don't know Chinese, 00:08:32.48\00:08:34.82 this is a mouth, and the Chinese 00:08:34.85\00:08:37.13 characters are not a hieroglyphics. 00:08:37.16\00:08:40.26 The Chinese characters are a pictogram, 00:08:40.29\00:08:42.77 and so when the Chinese see your open mouth, 00:08:42.80\00:08:45.85 they say, "Well, the character that we're going to create 00:08:45.88\00:08:48.77 for mouth is going to resemble a mouth." 00:08:48.80\00:08:53.01 So there you have the first word 00:08:53.04\00:08:56.04 "Kou," which is mouth. 00:08:56.07\00:08:58.61 It can mean a person, it can mean breath, 00:08:58.64\00:09:02.81 it can mean a man. 00:09:02.84\00:09:07.19 And this one is very obvious, 00:09:07.22\00:09:08.66 this is a tree and this one is two trees. 00:09:08.69\00:09:12.51 So it can be a garden, or it can be a forest, 00:09:12.54\00:09:15.72 or it can be two trees, 00:09:15.75\00:09:17.52 and so when we put them together, 00:09:17.55\00:09:20.03 we've got one person in a garden, you see that? 00:09:20.06\00:09:25.97 Now that we understand Chinese, we can proceed. 00:09:26.00\00:09:30.95 Let's look at something about the flood, the Bible says, 00:09:30.98\00:09:34.13 "There were eight people who entered the ark, 00:09:34.16\00:09:37.91 Noah, his wife, Noah's three sons, 00:09:37.94\00:09:41.29 and Noah's three son's wives 00:09:41.32\00:09:44.48 a total of eight entered the ark." 00:09:44.51\00:09:47.18 The Chinese word for big boat is "Chuan," 00:09:47.21\00:09:54.03 and it is made up of these components. 00:09:54.06\00:09:57.88 A boat with a number eight 00:09:57.91\00:10:03.64 and what's that symbol at the bottom? 00:10:04.48\00:10:05.85 That's mouth or people. 00:10:05.88\00:10:09.39 So we have a boat with eight people inside it 00:10:09.42\00:10:13.36 and this character is as old, almost as old as time itself. 00:10:13.39\00:10:18.37 It goes back before Moses, it goes back to 2200 BC. 00:10:18.40\00:10:23.66 Where did they get this from? 00:10:23.69\00:10:25.49 How did they know they were eight people in the ark? 00:10:25.52\00:10:28.22 They didn't get it from Moses. 00:10:28.25\00:10:31.10 Now we'll pick something in creation. 00:10:31.13\00:10:34.34 The Bible says, "God created man in His own image, 00:10:34.37\00:10:38.89 He spoke and it was done." 00:10:38.92\00:10:43.77 The word for create in Chinese, or to make, or to concoct, 00:10:43.80\00:10:48.21 or to put together something is "Zao," 00:10:48.24\00:10:54.84 and its made up of these components, 00:10:54.87\00:10:56.85 words were spoken, you see the open mouth. 00:10:56.88\00:10:59.71 Words were spoken 00:10:59.74\00:11:01.37 and as words were spoken movement happened. 00:11:01.40\00:11:05.86 Now I would have thought 00:11:05.89\00:11:06.93 if I was going to create a Chinese character for create, 00:11:06.96\00:11:11.52 or to make I would have a pair of hands making something. 00:11:11.55\00:11:16.56 What has spoken words got to do 00:11:16.59\00:11:19.94 with moment happening all of a sudden? 00:11:19.97\00:11:22.77 Because this agrees with the Bible story, 00:11:22.80\00:11:25.90 and this word is old. 00:11:25.93\00:11:27.66 This older than Moses, the Bible says, 00:11:27.69\00:11:31.56 "God spoke, and it was done." 00:11:31.59\00:11:37.34 Talking about creation the Bible says, 00:11:37.37\00:11:39.51 "God formed man from the dust of the ground 00:11:39.54\00:11:42.85 and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, 00:11:42.88\00:11:45.92 and man became a living being," that's what the Bible says. 00:11:45.95\00:11:50.85 If we take this word "Zao" 00:11:50.88\00:11:52.55 apart just that top bit that you see on the screen, 00:11:52.58\00:11:56.18 just that top bit, take it a part. 00:11:56.21\00:11:58.36 This is what we get, we get dust, 00:11:58.39\00:12:02.89 and we get breath, there is the mouth, 00:12:02.92\00:12:06.11 and the result is something living. 00:12:06.14\00:12:09.31 This is exactly what the Bible says 00:12:09.34\00:12:11.89 and this the Chinese word 00:12:11.92\00:12:14.11 for to make or for to create. 00:12:14.14\00:12:21.21 The Chinese history goes back 00:12:21.24\00:12:24.96 in an unbroken record of 4,500 years. 00:12:24.99\00:12:30.24 That's very similar to the Hebrew race, 00:12:30.27\00:12:32.93 an unbroken history of four and half thousand years. 00:12:32.96\00:12:35.51 They've records, they've kept writing, 00:12:35.54\00:12:39.57 there is no other civilization like 00:12:39.60\00:12:41.45 the Hebrew and the Chinese. 00:12:41.48\00:12:43.97 And this is going to be very helpful 00:12:44.00\00:12:46.41 as we unfold some of the truths tonight. 00:12:46.44\00:12:50.86 The very first emperor of China is Huang Di. 00:12:50.89\00:12:54.96 He's called the "Yellow Emperor," 00:12:54.99\00:12:56.64 Di means "Emperor," and Huang means "Yellow." 00:12:56.67\00:13:01.04 And this emperor reigned from 2500 BC, 00:13:01.07\00:13:04.66 a 1000 years before Moses to 2400 BC 00:13:04.69\00:13:11.38 and it is attributed to him 00:13:11.41\00:13:13.25 that all the Huang Chinese people come from Huang Di. 00:13:13.28\00:13:17.38 It's also attributed to him 00:13:17.41\00:13:19.15 that Chinese writings system was developed, 00:13:19.18\00:13:23.16 that's 2500 years BC we are talking. 00:13:23.19\00:13:27.36 Moses lived around 1500 BC 00:13:27.39\00:13:30.18 a 1000 years before Moses, Huang Di existed. 00:13:30.21\00:13:34.57 And under his reign a writing system was developed. 00:13:34.60\00:13:37.85 You could almost say, "He's a bit like Abraham 00:13:37.88\00:13:40.29 from him came the Chinese people." 00:13:40.32\00:13:44.77 But what sort of God were they worshiping? 00:13:44.80\00:13:47.37 What sort of God that the ancient Chinese believe in? 00:13:47.40\00:13:51.29 We think, well, they're all into Daoism, and Confucianism. 00:13:51.32\00:13:56.27 And they're into Buddhism in China, 00:13:56.30\00:13:58.85 yes, today that is the case, 00:13:58.88\00:14:00.84 that's predominately the main religion of China. 00:14:00.87\00:14:04.08 But these religions entered China round 600 to 500 BC, 00:14:04.11\00:14:10.04 and Huang Di lived 2500 BC. 00:14:10.07\00:14:13.85 So the question I want to ask is, 00:14:13.88\00:14:16.56 what sort of God 00:14:16.59\00:14:18.27 where the ancient Chinese worshipping 00:14:18.30\00:14:20.79 before Daoism, and Buddhism, 00:14:20.82\00:14:23.44 and Confucianism came into China? 00:14:23.47\00:14:26.91 There is a 2000 year gap there 00:14:26.94\00:14:29.63 and the answer come from Chinese 00:14:29.66\00:14:33.09 greatest historian called Sima Qian. 00:14:33.12\00:14:36.42 He is highly respected, he is highly reveled, 00:14:36.45\00:14:41.30 very few criticize this man. 00:14:41.33\00:14:44.13 And when he writes, people take it as fact 00:14:44.16\00:14:48.36 and he wrote, that Huang Di 00:14:48.39\00:14:51.92 built an altar in Tai Shan to worship a God 00:14:51.95\00:14:57.42 that they called Shang Di. 00:14:57.45\00:15:00.94 Di means emperor. 00:15:00.97\00:15:02.91 So today their God was Emperor Shang, 00:15:02.94\00:15:06.66 but it was their God, it wasn't a human being, 00:15:06.69\00:15:09.95 and so they worshiped Shang Di a 1000 years before Moses. 00:15:09.98\00:15:17.07 Now second answer comes from Confucius and Sima Qian. 00:15:17.10\00:15:22.45 Confucius wrote five classics of poetry, 00:15:22.48\00:15:25.80 and Sima Qian wrote the historical records, 00:15:25.83\00:15:28.09 highly respected, and both say that 00:15:28.12\00:15:31.53 the people of the Shang Dynasty worshiped Shang Di. 00:15:31.56\00:15:38.32 Now The Shang Dynasty goes back to 1776 BC. 00:15:38.35\00:15:44.66 When Moses was leading 00:15:44.69\00:15:46.17 the children of Israel out of Egypt, 00:15:46.20\00:15:48.38 through the red sea, 00:15:48.41\00:15:52.55 200, 300 years before that event 00:15:52.58\00:15:55.71 the Shang Dynasty was alive and well. 00:15:55.74\00:15:58.60 And the Shang Dynasty is unique 00:15:58.63\00:16:00.79 because they kept records. 00:16:00.82\00:16:03.04 They kept documents, and when you can record things, 00:16:03.07\00:16:07.09 and document things you can record history. 00:16:07.12\00:16:12.38 Here is a picture of my Seventh-day Adventist friend, 00:16:12.41\00:16:16.76 Victor Lee holding a tortoise shell, 00:16:16.79\00:16:21.65 that is dated 1770 BC, and he is holding it, 00:16:21.68\00:16:26.65 he should be holding it a lot more carefully, 00:16:26.68\00:16:28.28 I would have thought. 00:16:28.31\00:16:29.59 He is holding with two figures, 00:16:29.62\00:16:31.41 it is very old and on that tortoise shell 00:16:31.44\00:16:34.49 is some very ancient Chinese writing 00:16:34.52\00:16:37.68 and this is how old it goes back to 1770 BC. 00:16:37.71\00:16:43.54 So when Moses was writing Genesis, 00:16:43.57\00:16:48.63 300 years before that 00:16:48.66\00:16:50.12 the Chinese were already writing. 00:16:50.15\00:16:54.99 So there is the timeline, 00:16:55.02\00:16:56.99 you can see Huang Di, 2500 BC, 00:16:57.02\00:17:00.33 you can see the Shang Dynasty, 00:17:00.36\00:17:01.77 with the tortoise shell and the writing. 00:17:01.80\00:17:04.07 1770 BC and Moses looks 00:17:04.10\00:17:07.96 as though he is arrived a little bit late, 00:17:07.99\00:17:11.11 he has arrived at 1500 BC. 00:17:11.14\00:17:14.19 But the Chinese were already writing 00:17:14.22\00:17:16.57 and recording and capturing concepts 00:17:16.60\00:17:20.42 that are embedded in the Bible 00:17:20.45\00:17:23.10 and it's embedded in there language, 00:17:23.13\00:17:25.79 and if I was Chinese, I would be so proud tonight. 00:17:25.82\00:17:29.61 I would be so proud because you got there first. 00:17:29.64\00:17:34.53 You had Biblical concepts in your language, 00:17:34.56\00:17:37.15 before the Jews, before the Hebrews, before Moses. 00:17:37.18\00:17:42.05 And so you can see the Daoism, and Confucianism, 00:17:42.08\00:17:47.44 and Buddhism they came very late. 00:17:47.47\00:17:50.43 They came very late. 00:17:50.46\00:17:53.46 And so here is the letter for Shang Di, 00:17:53.49\00:17:56.46 there is no image of him. 00:17:56.49\00:17:58.34 There is no sculpture of him. There is no idol of him. 00:17:58.37\00:18:02.04 Because they didn't believe in idolatry, 00:18:02.07\00:18:04.78 they just wrote a character to describe, Shang Di. 00:18:04.81\00:18:10.84 We know that Hebrew's worshiped Yahweh, 00:18:10.87\00:18:14.45 or Jehovah, or Elohim. 00:18:14.48\00:18:18.45 The Chinese worshiped Shang Di. 00:18:18.48\00:18:20.94 And I want to put it to you tonight 00:18:20.97\00:18:23.69 that Shang Di and Jehovah or Yahweh are the same. 00:18:23.72\00:18:29.07 I'm going to show you proof and evidence from Confucius. 00:18:29.10\00:18:35.47 That the Shang Di has the same characteristics 00:18:35.50\00:18:40.27 of Yahweh, in his five classics, 00:18:40.30\00:18:47.36 Confucius describes a 175 references to Shang Di. 00:18:47.39\00:18:52.36 And we are not gonna through them all tonight, 00:18:52.39\00:18:53.91 we'd be here forever, 00:18:53.94\00:18:55.57 but I'll give you some descriptors 00:18:55.60\00:18:57.60 from the five classics of Shang Di. 00:18:57.63\00:19:00.72 Shang Di is described by Confucius 00:19:00.75\00:19:03.56 as a "God is all powerful, 00:19:03.59\00:19:05.54 a God who has authority over all nations, 00:19:05.57\00:19:08.35 a God who is all knowing, a God who is ever present." 00:19:08.38\00:19:12.43 You might say, "Well, that could be anybody. 00:19:12.46\00:19:14.81 That could be any Pagan God, most Pagan Gods claim this." 00:19:14.84\00:19:19.13 But wait, there is one descriptor 00:19:19.16\00:19:23.52 that sets Shang Di apart from all the Pagan Gods 00:19:23.55\00:19:28.13 and that is that Shang DI is a "God of love" 00:19:28.16\00:19:31.42 and that is very unique. 00:19:31.45\00:19:33.77 This is not a Pagan God, this is the same God 00:19:33.80\00:19:38.21 as the God of the Bible. 00:19:38.24\00:19:41.20 This is the same God as Yahweh 00:19:41.23\00:19:43.93 and so to summarize 00:19:43.96\00:19:46.17 some of those recitations of Shang Di, 00:19:46.20\00:19:49.73 "He is a God of justice, and wisdom, 00:19:49.76\00:19:52.09 and grace, and holiness, and faithfulness, and mercy, 00:19:52.12\00:19:56.72 and righteousness, and he's eternal." 00:19:56.75\00:19:59.09 These are the characteristics of Yahweh. 00:19:59.12\00:20:02.00 These are the characteristics of the God of the Bible. 00:20:02.03\00:20:05.35 And so Shang Di and Yahweh are the same. 00:20:05.38\00:20:10.63 Now Huang Di, we are told built an altar 00:20:10.66\00:20:14.69 to worship Shang Di. 00:20:14.72\00:20:18.49 And every year, every year, 00:20:18.52\00:20:22.11 the ancient Chinese people had a major event, 00:20:22.14\00:20:25.24 a major religious event called "The Border Sacrifice." 00:20:25.27\00:20:29.32 And it was moved according 00:20:29.35\00:20:31.08 to where the capital city of China was of that time, 00:20:31.11\00:20:34.68 wherever the capital city was that's where they had it, 00:20:34.71\00:20:37.96 and this happened every year. 00:20:37.99\00:20:40.32 Imagine all the Christians in the world getting together, 00:20:40.35\00:20:44.10 into one place, every year to worship God. 00:20:44.13\00:20:48.01 This is what the Chinese were doing. 00:20:48.04\00:20:50.20 They made every year 00:20:50.23\00:20:52.51 huge crowds to worship Shang Di. 00:20:52.54\00:20:56.40 And Confucius tells us 00:20:56.43\00:20:59.43 "The ceremonies of the celestial 00:20:59.46\00:21:01.83 and terrestrial sacrifices 00:21:01.86\00:21:05.81 are those by which men serve, Shang Di." 00:21:05.84\00:21:10.99 "And on that day, the emperor became priest." 00:21:11.02\00:21:16.62 Now this is very similar to the day 00:21:16.65\00:21:19.48 of atonement of the ancient Hebrews. 00:21:19.51\00:21:23.97 Where they met once a year 00:21:24.00\00:21:26.63 and the high priest became priest 00:21:26.66\00:21:30.38 and represented all the people 00:21:30.41\00:21:32.24 and here the ancient Chinese emperor, 00:21:32.27\00:21:36.09 the king became priest. 00:21:36.12\00:21:38.93 And they offered blood sacrifice 00:21:38.96\00:21:41.51 as atonement to Shang Di. 00:21:41.54\00:21:44.64 And if you go to South of Beijing today, 00:21:44.67\00:21:48.04 Southern Beijing, you'll have this massive complex, 00:21:48.07\00:21:52.44 the Temple of Heaven, and the Altar of Heaven. 00:21:52.47\00:21:57.20 There is the Temple of Heaven, here are no idols in there. 00:21:57.23\00:22:00.11 There are no statues in there. 00:22:00.14\00:22:02.14 There is the Altar of Heaven, 00:22:02.17\00:22:03.89 where this blood sacrifice used to be offered once a year. 00:22:03.92\00:22:09.25 And then suddenly it all came to an end, 00:22:09.28\00:22:13.33 this emperor, Qin Shi Huang in 259 BC, 00:22:13.36\00:22:19.13 he put an end to the worship of Shang Di, 00:22:19.16\00:22:23.41 and he said, "No more blood sacrifices to Shang Di. 00:22:23.44\00:22:27.07 And he lowered the boon, and he stopped it." 00:22:27.10\00:22:29.88 And this is why Buddhism and Confucianism 00:22:29.91\00:22:33.68 and Daoism began to flourish 00:22:33.71\00:22:38.02 and it's still flourishing in China today. 00:22:38.05\00:22:40.64 If the Chinese people only understood 00:22:40.67\00:22:45.20 that you are worshiping the same God, 00:22:45.23\00:22:47.77 it's the God of the Bible. 00:22:47.80\00:22:50.00 You would look at this again through intelligent eyes, 00:22:50.03\00:22:54.11 through discerning eyes, 00:22:54.14\00:22:55.80 and see that it is in your history, 00:22:55.83\00:22:58.48 it's in your culture, and it is this emperor, 00:22:58.51\00:23:01.83 Qin Shi Huang who stopped it. 00:23:01.86\00:23:06.61 So if we put it on the time chart 00:23:06.64\00:23:08.33 you can see the line of Huang Di 2500 BC, 00:23:08.36\00:23:11.48 the Shang Dynasty 1770 BC, with the oracle bone script, 00:23:11.51\00:23:17.60 the ancient writing on those tortoise shells, 00:23:17.63\00:23:20.77 Moses 1500 BC, and the religions of China 00:23:20.80\00:23:25.61 they started to come in 500 BC. 00:23:25.64\00:23:32.50 Now here is my friend, 00:23:32.53\00:23:33.56 Victor Lee holding this very old tortoise shell. 00:23:33.59\00:23:39.40 And on that tortoise shell are inscribed 00:23:39.43\00:23:42.61 very ancient Chinese characters dated to 1770 BC, 00:23:42.64\00:23:48.41 they called them "oracle bone scripts." 00:23:48.44\00:23:51.45 Why oracle? 00:23:51.48\00:23:53.48 The writing was on bone, animal bone, 00:23:53.51\00:23:56.11 or it was on tortoise shell, 00:23:56.14\00:23:59.43 so what's oracle got to do with it? 00:23:59.46\00:24:01.52 Well, what they use to do? 00:24:01.55\00:24:03.94 they would heat the tortoise shell 00:24:03.97\00:24:05.93 or they would heat the animal bone 00:24:05.96\00:24:08.11 with these characters on it, 00:24:08.14\00:24:10.16 and then the tortoise shell will crack 00:24:10.19\00:24:14.06 or the bone would crack, 00:24:14.09\00:24:15.79 and depending on the formation of the cracks 00:24:15.82\00:24:17.73 in relation to the characters written on it 00:24:17.76\00:24:20.04 they would start to tell your fortune 00:24:20.07\00:24:22.21 or they would start to tell an oracle, 00:24:22.24\00:24:24.83 and so it's called oracle bone script. 00:24:24.86\00:24:27.19 But when no heat is applied, 00:24:27.22\00:24:30.12 it is simply called bone or shell script 00:24:30.15\00:24:34.25 and it goes back to 1770 BC, 00:24:34.28\00:24:39.43 is that clear? 00:24:39.46\00:24:42.20 It was written on bone, or shell, or pottery, 00:24:42.23\00:24:45.88 and even in axe heads. 00:24:45.91\00:24:47.42 They are starting to discover ancient writing 00:24:47.45\00:24:49.30 on Chinese axe heads 00:24:49.33\00:24:51.04 and they are now dating this to 2200 BC. 00:24:51.07\00:24:55.18 So the Chinese writing goes back further 00:24:55.21\00:24:58.12 than the Shang Dynasty. 00:24:58.15\00:25:00.02 The Chinese writing is older than just oracle bone script 00:25:00.05\00:25:03.89 and there is the evidence. 00:25:03.92\00:25:05.59 And the Chinese archeologists are now pushing back 00:25:05.62\00:25:10.09 the origin of a Chinese character by a 1000 years. 00:25:10.12\00:25:14.52 They thought it was around 1500 BC, 1200 BC, 00:25:14.55\00:25:19.34 that's as all has it got. 00:25:19.37\00:25:20.88 But now they're saying 00:25:20.91\00:25:22.87 "It's older than that by a thousand years." 00:25:22.90\00:25:24.89 Why is that important? 00:25:24.92\00:25:26.31 Because it means that these characters 00:25:26.34\00:25:28.66 that have Bible concepts in them predate, Moses. 00:25:28.69\00:25:34.94 They didn't copy it from Moses 00:25:34.97\00:25:37.27 and Moses didn't copy it from them. 00:25:37.30\00:25:39.68 It was given to them by word of mouth 00:25:39.71\00:25:42.87 after the Tower of Babel when the people dispersed. 00:25:42.90\00:25:47.46 Here is a website called "China View" 00:25:47.49\00:25:51.03 and it says, "New technology discovery rewrites 00:25:51.06\00:25:55.06 earliest Chinese character dating 2200 BC." 00:25:55.09\00:26:01.58 So this is probably new to many listeners 00:26:01.61\00:26:04.91 who always thought that Chinese writing is no older 00:26:04.94\00:26:08.05 than 1200 BC maybe 1500 BC 00:26:08.08\00:26:12.12 and at a stretch, at a stretch 1700 BC. 00:26:12.15\00:26:16.60 But now Chinese archeologists are saying, 00:26:16.63\00:26:19.42 "It's a lot older than that." 00:26:19.45\00:26:22.03 So Huang Di, who lived 2500 BC 00:26:22.06\00:26:27.87 who under his reign developed a Chinese writing system 00:26:27.90\00:26:31.84 and everybody thought, 00:26:31.87\00:26:33.09 that's a bit of an exaggeration. 00:26:33.12\00:26:35.26 People thought that was a story 00:26:35.29\00:26:36.71 just made up to make him look famous. 00:26:36.74\00:26:40.43 But the archaeologists are now saying, 00:26:40.46\00:26:42.02 "Yes, there was Chinese writing around the time of Huang Di." 00:26:42.05\00:26:48.91 So just to sum up, we have shell 00:26:48.94\00:26:52.82 and bone script that's dated 2200 BC, 00:26:52.85\00:26:57.86 no oracle, no heat applied, no cracking of the media. 00:26:57.89\00:27:02.68 Then we have oracle script 1770 BC 00:27:02.71\00:27:07.45 and the characters on the oracles bone script 00:27:07.48\00:27:10.37 are identical to the characters on the non-oracle bone script. 00:27:10.40\00:27:16.99 They didn't invent a whole new set 00:27:17.02\00:27:18.40 of characters for oracle bone. 00:27:18.43\00:27:21.08 It's the same set of characters and from oracle bone 00:27:21.11\00:27:24.49 characters comes classical Chinese characters, 00:27:24.52\00:27:27.83 and from classical Chinese characters 00:27:27.86\00:27:29.78 comes Cantonese and Mandarin. 00:27:29.81\00:27:32.92 Can you see the pedigree? 00:27:32.95\00:27:34.57 So what we are going to look at tonight 00:27:34.60\00:27:37.17 is classical Chinese characters because most people, 00:27:37.20\00:27:40.23 who are Chinese watching, viewing, 00:27:40.26\00:27:42.80 can understand these characters, 00:27:42.83\00:27:44.23 you can't read oracle bone script, 00:27:44.26\00:27:46.02 but you can read traditional Chinese, 00:27:46.05\00:27:48.60 but even that's becoming a rare thing in china. 00:27:48.63\00:27:52.00 As the younger generation 00:27:52.03\00:27:54.24 is now focusing on the modern script. 00:27:54.27\00:27:57.83 And the classical script comes from oracle bone, 00:27:57.86\00:28:01.80 and oracle bone comes from non-oracle bone. 00:28:01.83\00:28:05.03 So the pedigree for classical Chinese 00:28:05.06\00:28:07.66 goes right back to 2200 BC. 00:28:07.69\00:28:12.40 Now in 2009, the Chinese government opened 00:28:12.43\00:28:17.08 a museum in Anyang called "The Chinese Character Museum" 00:28:17.11\00:28:24.32 and I'm glad they did 00:28:24.35\00:28:26.30 because everything I'm telling you tonight 00:28:26.33\00:28:28.16 can be verified if you go to this museum. 00:28:28.19\00:28:31.93 And it's a magnificent structure. 00:28:31.96\00:28:34.63 A museum dedicated to Chinese characters. 00:28:34.66\00:28:38.67 A museum dedicated to the heritage 00:28:38.70\00:28:41.43 and culture of Chinese writing. 00:28:41.46\00:28:45.36 Here is my friend, Victor Lee, 00:28:45.39\00:28:47.07 Seventh-day Adventist, Christian, 00:28:47.10\00:28:50.66 holding that oracle bone script written on tortoise shell. 00:28:50.69\00:28:55.64 And here he is standing 00:28:55.67\00:28:57.96 in the Chinese character museum. 00:28:57.99\00:29:00.76 This looks like the "Great Wall of China" doesn't it? 00:29:00.79\00:29:04.27 This enormous wall, 00:29:04.30\00:29:06.88 that houses oracle bone characters 00:29:06.91\00:29:10.54 and the classical Chinese character equivalent. 00:29:10.57\00:29:15.24 This is a Seventh-day Adventist researcher, 00:29:15.27\00:29:17.73 Dr. Ethel Nelson who wrote a book 00:29:17.76\00:29:22.09 on this very subject called 00:29:22.12\00:29:24.06 "God's Promises to the Chinese." 00:29:24.09\00:29:26.95 And she is a pathologist, and she is an author, 00:29:26.98\00:29:30.83 and she meticulously traces 00:29:30.86\00:29:34.39 the history of oracle bone script 00:29:34.42\00:29:36.36 in relationship to Biblical concepts. 00:29:36.39\00:29:39.63 But the world doesn't know about it, 00:29:39.66\00:29:41.56 and that's why tonight we're recording 00:29:41.59\00:29:44.16 this program and broadcasting it. 00:29:44.19\00:29:46.58 To get the message out and I take my head off, 00:29:46.61\00:29:49.99 I salute the Chinese people for your culture 00:29:50.02\00:29:52.92 and your heritage and your history 00:29:52.95\00:29:55.89 and your Chinese characters, 00:29:55.92\00:29:58.04 which contain Bible truths, Bible concepts. 00:29:58.07\00:30:02.89 Here is an oracle script that means woman. 00:30:02.92\00:30:07.72 Very old script this is probably 1770 BC, 00:30:07.75\00:30:14.17 if not older and next to it 00:30:14.20\00:30:17.03 is the character for desire, or to covet, 00:30:17.06\00:30:21.49 or to have greed in your heart. 00:30:21.52\00:30:24.04 That's the oracle bone script for that concept 00:30:24.07\00:30:27.02 and there is the classical word. 00:30:27.05\00:30:29.21 You can see there is a similarity. 00:30:29.24\00:30:31.52 There are two little trees above the woman. 00:30:31.55\00:30:33.92 The woman is below the trees. 00:30:33.95\00:30:35.67 And it's the same in the classical character. 00:30:35.70\00:30:37.85 So let's take the classical Chinese character 00:30:40.26\00:30:42.55 to desire something, and to covet something, 00:30:42.58\00:30:45.66 and to have greed in your heart. 00:30:45.69\00:30:47.63 There is the classical character 00:30:47.66\00:30:49.57 and it comes from this oracle bone script, 00:30:49.60\00:30:52.11 which is dated 1770 BC and it's made up for two trees 00:30:52.14\00:30:57.50 with a woman kneeling under them. 00:30:57.53\00:31:00.15 The Bible says when Eve, the woman 00:31:00.18\00:31:03.00 committed the first sin, she had a choice between 00:31:03.03\00:31:07.36 the tree of life says the Bible 00:31:07.39\00:31:11.42 and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, 00:31:11.45\00:31:14.31 two trees, not four, or three, two. 00:31:14.34\00:31:18.53 And this ancient Chinese character 00:31:18.56\00:31:20.45 that's older than Moses puts the woman 00:31:20.48\00:31:24.36 under two trees, isn't that amazing? 00:31:24.39\00:31:27.84 That's exactly what the Bible says. 00:31:27.87\00:31:30.81 And so here we are today 00:31:30.84\00:31:33.53 and we're going back in time 4,200 years 00:31:33.56\00:31:37.22 when shell script, and bone script, 00:31:40.56\00:31:42.96 were produced and before that was Huang Di in 2500 BC 00:31:42.99\00:31:48.97 and the Shang Dynasty in 1770 BC, 00:31:49.00\00:31:51.62 I'm just summarizing so you can put it all together 00:31:51.65\00:31:56.33 and there is Moses 1500 BC, 700 years before Moses. 00:31:56.36\00:32:02.93 The Chinese had developed characters 00:32:02.96\00:32:05.92 that carry the Bible story. 00:32:05.95\00:32:08.47 This is not an American import. 00:32:08.50\00:32:11.54 Christianity is not an invention of the Americans. 00:32:11.57\00:32:15.06 Christianity is not an invention 00:32:15.09\00:32:17.97 of people in Australia, or New Zealand, 00:32:18.00\00:32:21.61 or even the Middle East. 00:32:21.64\00:32:25.26 Christianity is embedded in your culture, 00:32:25.29\00:32:28.52 and in your language, and in your characters. 00:32:28.55\00:32:31.70 And if you go to that Chinese Character Museum 00:32:31.73\00:32:35.19 in Anyang you will see that. 00:32:35.22\00:32:38.79 And your current religions, which I respect, 00:32:38.82\00:32:42.85 came a lot, lot later then your original religion. 00:32:42.88\00:32:50.23 And so you are worshipping 00:32:50.26\00:32:53.02 one supreme god called Shang Di, 00:32:53.05\00:32:55.90 "the creator of heaven and earth" 00:32:55.93\00:32:58.37 and you did not copy this from Christian missionaries, 00:32:58.40\00:33:02.43 you did not get this from a Christian evangelist 00:33:02.46\00:33:04.67 who came to China. 00:33:04.70\00:33:06.09 Because the first Christians to go China was in 620 AD 00:33:06.12\00:33:13.72 long after you had already 00:33:13.75\00:33:15.38 developed your character language. 00:33:15.41\00:33:17.86 So there they are the Christian missionaries 00:33:17.89\00:33:20.07 coming in very late long after 00:33:20.10\00:33:22.60 you'd already developed your writing. 00:33:22.63\00:33:25.78 And so we can say that once you know how to write, 00:33:25.81\00:33:30.32 you can start documenting history, 00:33:30.35\00:33:32.81 you can start recording things, if you know how to write 00:33:32.84\00:33:36.23 and we're going back to 2200 BC. 00:33:36.26\00:33:39.19 And so you can write about 00:33:39.22\00:33:41.41 how many bags of rice you have in your shed. 00:33:41.44\00:33:44.47 You can write about how many donkeys you have, 00:33:44.50\00:33:47.30 or how many sheep you have. 00:33:47.33\00:33:49.27 These are mundane trivial things 00:33:49.30\00:33:52.01 but when something major happens 00:33:52.04\00:33:54.65 like the creation of the world, 00:33:54.68\00:33:57.05 or the entry of sin into the world, 00:33:57.08\00:33:59.66 or the fall of man, and the flood, Noah's Ark, 00:33:59.69\00:34:03.62 and the Tower of Babel, these are big events. 00:34:03.65\00:34:06.91 These are headline events. 00:34:06.94\00:34:08.74 When things like that happened 00:34:08.77\00:34:12.05 you would be recording that would you now think, 00:34:12.08\00:34:14.91 if you can write and record they did. 00:34:14.94\00:34:17.88 Let's look at creation the Bible says in Genesis, 00:34:17.91\00:34:21.71 "God blessed Adam and Eve saying 00:34:21.74\00:34:24.62 'Be fruitful and multiply.'" 00:34:24.65\00:34:28.27 The Chinese word for blessed is "Fu." 00:34:28.30\00:34:31.48 And "Fu" means good fortune, prosperity. 00:34:31.51\00:34:36.02 If you are running a business, you're a Chinese businessmen 00:34:36.05\00:34:39.20 you probably have this letter above your business place. 00:34:39.23\00:34:42.35 Because it means "May I be profitable, 00:34:42.38\00:34:45.31 may I experience good fortune." 00:34:45.34\00:34:47.66 But the word blessed has these components. 00:34:47.69\00:34:51.06 God together with one person with a mouth, 00:34:51.09\00:34:56.34 there is the mouth, you see the little mouth shape, 00:34:56.37\00:34:59.25 "Kou" 00:34:59.28\00:35:02.27 in the garden. 00:35:02.30\00:35:04.21 God and man have a relationship in a fruitful garden, 00:35:04.24\00:35:11.54 to have a fruitful family 00:35:11.57\00:35:13.64 and that's what the word blessed means. 00:35:13.67\00:35:15.98 That's what the word prosperity means, 00:35:16.01\00:35:18.89 nothing to do with business, 00:35:18.92\00:35:21.02 nothing to do with making a lot of money. 00:35:21.05\00:35:23.27 It's got everything to do with 00:35:23.30\00:35:25.05 one person having a relationship with God 00:35:25.08\00:35:28.03 and being blessed in that relationship. 00:35:28.06\00:35:31.18 The Bible also says, "The Lord took the man 00:35:33.57\00:35:37.16 and put him in the Garden of Eden 00:35:37.19\00:35:40.19 to tend and to keep it." 00:35:40.22\00:35:43.48 The word for Garden is "Yuan" 00:35:43.51\00:35:47.49 and it is made up of these components clay, 00:35:47.52\00:35:52.43 breathing with a mouth, there is the "Kou" symbol, 00:35:52.46\00:35:57.22 or the mouth symbol. 00:35:57.25\00:35:58.79 Breath, clay breathing with a mouth on a man, 00:35:58.82\00:36:01.95 and out of the side of the man comes a woman. 00:36:01.98\00:36:04.31 Have a look, there is the woman 00:36:04.34\00:36:06.29 coming out of the side of the man, 00:36:06.32\00:36:08.89 just as the Bible says that "Eve the woman says, 00:36:08.92\00:36:13.07 'The Bible was formed from a rib of the man, 00:36:13.10\00:36:16.34 came out of came out of the side of the man."' 00:36:16.37\00:36:18.38 And your word for garden has this concept. 00:36:18.41\00:36:22.51 The woman is coming out of the side of the man 00:36:22.54\00:36:24.86 and then they are placed in the garden. 00:36:24.89\00:36:27.24 And this is exactly what the Bible says, 00:36:27.27\00:36:29.26 "God took the man and put him 00:36:29.29\00:36:31.24 in the Garden of Eden to tend and to keep it." 00:36:31.27\00:36:34.54 And this is in your word, Garden 00:36:34.57\00:36:37.11 and it agrees with the Bible. 00:36:37.14\00:36:40.10 Then the Bible says, 00:36:40.13\00:36:41.17 "The Lord commanded the man saying, 00:36:41.20\00:36:43.19 'Of every tree in this garden you can freely eat 00:36:43.22\00:36:47.45 but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil 00:36:47.48\00:36:50.09 you shall not eat of this tree. 00:36:50.12\00:36:52.70 Because the day that you eat of it, you will die."' 00:36:52.73\00:36:55.73 And so the Chinese word to forbid is "Jin" 00:36:55.76\00:37:01.71 and it is made up of two trees, 00:37:01.74\00:37:05.21 and it is made up of the man getting a revelation, 00:37:05.24\00:37:10.13 receiving a revelation about these two trees, 00:37:10.16\00:37:13.13 this is the word for forbid. 00:37:13.16\00:37:15.63 And so God gave the man the Bible calls Adam, 00:37:15.66\00:37:20.68 God gave this first man a revelation 00:37:20.71\00:37:23.28 about these two trees. 00:37:23.31\00:37:25.37 The tree of life, the tree of knowledge 00:37:25.40\00:37:27.76 of good and evil and God said, 00:37:27.79\00:37:29.69 "You can eat of any tree, but not this one." 00:37:29.72\00:37:33.35 And this is embedded in the Chinese word to forbid. 00:37:33.38\00:37:41.25 Let's look at something now about how sin and wrong, 00:37:41.28\00:37:44.73 and how evil came into the world, 00:37:44.76\00:37:47.35 according to Chinese characters. 00:37:47.38\00:37:49.19 The Bible says, "The serpent was more cunning 00:37:52.30\00:37:54.32 than the beast of the field, 00:37:54.35\00:37:55.93 which the Lord God had made." 00:37:55.96\00:37:57.59 The word for tempter is "Mo" and it is made up of a garden, 00:38:00.12\00:38:07.99 and then there was a movement in the garden, 00:38:08.02\00:38:12.80 and one came to a man and it was done secretly. 00:38:12.83\00:38:19.51 So somebody came very secretly 00:38:19.54\00:38:21.65 and sneakily to the man in the garden 00:38:21.68\00:38:27.09 and at this point the word is "Gui," which means devil 00:38:27.12\00:38:30.82 and the devil came among two trees. 00:38:35.90\00:38:39.68 Secretively undercover, 00:38:39.71\00:38:42.27 this is the Chinese word for tempter. 00:38:42.30\00:38:45.42 And this is exactly what the Bible says, 00:38:45.45\00:38:48.64 "That the devil sneaked around, 00:38:48.67\00:38:52.53 and seduced, and deceived, 00:38:52.56\00:38:55.71 and tricked the first man and woman." 00:38:55.74\00:39:00.68 He didn't do it openly, he did it sneakily in a garden, 00:39:00.71\00:39:04.93 two trees are involved exactly as the Bible says. 00:39:04.96\00:39:10.04 Isn't that amazing? 00:39:10.07\00:39:11.84 Then the Bible says, 00:39:11.87\00:39:12.90 "When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, 00:39:12.93\00:39:16.16 and that it was pleasant to the eyes, 00:39:16.19\00:39:18.08 and a tree desirable to make one wise. 00:39:18.11\00:39:22.04 She took of its fruit and she ate." 00:39:22.07\00:39:26.64 The word for greed, we've already covered this, 00:39:26.67\00:39:28.78 remember when we went to the oracle 00:39:28.81\00:39:31.20 the Chinese Character Museum in Anyang. 00:39:31.23\00:39:35.09 The word for greed is "Lan," we looked at it earlier, 00:39:35.12\00:39:39.09 and it's made up of two trees with a woman underneath. 00:39:39.12\00:39:43.16 The woman fell into sin because of lust and greed, 00:39:43.19\00:39:46.73 coveting and desiring. 00:39:46.76\00:39:48.59 And this is embedded in your character, 00:39:48.62\00:39:50.68 your word for greed and coveting and lusting. 00:39:50.71\00:39:54.14 Then the Bible says, "The eyes of both of these people 00:39:54.42\00:39:57.29 were opened and they knew that they were naked, 00:39:57.32\00:40:00.57 the moment they sinned they realized they were naked." 00:40:00.60\00:40:03.81 And the word for naked is "Luo" and it is made up of clothing. 00:40:03.84\00:40:10.69 Your clothing is gone when you eat of the fruit. 00:40:10.72\00:40:15.65 What has fruit got to do with being naked? 00:40:15.68\00:40:22.36 I would have thought, if I was going to draw 00:40:22.39\00:40:24.15 a picture of a naked person I would just draw 00:40:24.18\00:40:26.50 a stick person without clothing. 00:40:26.53\00:40:29.30 But here this character for naked 00:40:29.33\00:40:32.69 is embroiled in the concept of you are now naked 00:40:32.72\00:40:37.92 because you ate a fruit and that's the story of Genesis. 00:40:37.95\00:40:41.86 And we read on "And they heard the sound of the Lord God 00:40:44.15\00:40:47.34 walking in the garden in the cool of the day 00:40:47.37\00:40:50.05 and Adam and his wife hid themselves 00:40:50.08\00:40:51.94 from the presence of the Lord among the trees of the garden." 00:40:51.97\00:40:54.97 And the Chinese word for to hide is "Duo" 00:40:55.00\00:40:58.07 and it means his body 00:40:58.10\00:41:02.02 is superimposed to the trees. 00:41:02.05\00:41:06.35 He now looks like a tree, he is hiding behind the tree. 00:41:06.38\00:41:10.58 You can't see him. 00:41:10.61\00:41:12.32 He's hiding behind a tree 00:41:12.35\00:41:15.26 because of the guilt of sin and the shame of sin. 00:41:15.29\00:41:19.70 And the word for guilt is "Kui" 00:41:22.30\00:41:25.75 and it's got to do with the heart 00:41:25.78\00:41:28.27 and the devil "Kui" gets into your heart 00:41:28.30\00:41:33.39 and you feel guilty when the devil get's into your 00:41:33.42\00:41:37.01 heart because of sin and this is the Chinese word for guilt. 00:41:37.04\00:41:40.38 The Bible says, "The Lord set a mark on Cain, 00:41:40.41\00:41:43.41 Cain killed his brother who was called Abel 00:41:43.44\00:41:48.81 because he was jealous that Abel's religious sacrifice 00:41:48.84\00:41:52.66 was acceptable to God and his was not. 00:41:52.69\00:41:55.64 And so jealousy consumed him 00:41:55.67\00:42:00.33 and he killed his brother Cain." 00:42:00.36\00:42:03.18 Now the word for brother in Chinese is "Xiong" 00:42:03.21\00:42:06.21 and it looks like that, but the Chinese word for murder 00:42:06.24\00:42:11.47 looks exactly the same except it has a mark 00:42:11.50\00:42:15.60 and it's exactly the same word "Xiong," 00:42:15.63\00:42:18.38 pronounce the same, 00:42:18.41\00:42:19.82 it's a different representation. 00:42:19.85\00:42:22.97 But the murderer has a mark 00:42:23.00\00:42:25.61 and the murderer has a mark on his forehead. 00:42:25.64\00:42:28.50 Do you see that? 00:42:28.53\00:42:29.57 And that's exactly what the Bible says. 00:42:29.60\00:42:33.21 It's exactly what the Bible says 00:42:33.24\00:42:35.28 and it's in your language. 00:42:35.31\00:42:37.08 Where does it come from? Where did you get it from? 00:42:37.11\00:42:40.13 Isn't that amazing? 00:42:40.16\00:42:42.86 Let's go to the Tower of Babel. 00:42:42.89\00:42:46.05 The word for Tower is "Ta" let's take the first bit. 00:42:46.08\00:42:50.39 All the people were speaking with one mouth 00:42:50.42\00:42:55.08 and they were united. 00:42:55.11\00:42:57.06 They had one vision, they had one language, 00:42:57.09\00:43:01.13 and they were united together. 00:43:01.16\00:43:03.52 Then we take the second bit for Tower 00:43:03.55\00:43:06.32 and it says, "All the people was speaking with one mouth 00:43:06.35\00:43:10.20 and they took grass, or they straw, 00:43:10.23\00:43:13.03 and they took clay, and they built something." 00:43:13.06\00:43:16.10 The first time in Chinese writing 00:43:16.13\00:43:20.04 with the word Tower is created. 00:43:20.07\00:43:22.98 It has to do with people who are in unity, 00:43:23.01\00:43:27.51 who are building a Tower 00:43:27.54\00:43:29.87 out of bricks made of clay and straw. 00:43:29.90\00:43:34.14 Isn't that amazing? 00:43:34.17\00:43:36.52 Genesis tells us, "The whole earth 00:43:36.55\00:43:39.12 had one language and one speech." 00:43:39.15\00:43:42.92 And they said, "Let's build a tower 00:43:42.95\00:43:44.64 whose top is in the heavens, 00:43:44.67\00:43:46.68 let's make a name for ourselves, 00:43:46.71\00:43:48.85 lest we be scattered over the face of the whole earth." 00:43:48.88\00:43:53.07 That's in the Bible 00:43:53.10\00:43:54.75 and the Chinese word for confusion is "Luan" 00:43:54.78\00:44:00.06 and we break it down, we get your tongue 00:44:00.09\00:44:05.74 with your right leg scattering in one direction. 00:44:05.77\00:44:10.45 Because of the words that were spoken 00:44:10.48\00:44:13.53 the people were scattered. 00:44:13.56\00:44:15.47 You see the mouth symbol there, 00:44:15.50\00:44:18.76 words were spoken, tongue was used, 00:44:18.79\00:44:22.20 the right leg is scattered in one direction, 00:44:22.23\00:44:25.26 and because of these spoken words, 00:44:25.29\00:44:27.46 because of these confusion of language 00:44:27.49\00:44:30.06 at the Tower of Babel, 00:44:30.09\00:44:31.56 the people were scattered and confusion reigned. 00:44:31.59\00:44:36.00 The word for scatter is "Fen san". 00:44:36.03\00:44:39.04 And there's the first bit "Fen" 00:44:39.07\00:44:41.27 and then we'll do the second bit. 00:44:41.30\00:44:43.03 "Fen" means to divide, 00:44:43.06\00:44:45.29 it's made up of the number 8 and with a knife 00:44:45.32\00:44:51.32 8 generations from creation to the Tower of Babel. 00:44:51.35\00:44:56.67 And they were divided by the knife. 00:44:56.70\00:44:59.62 After 8 generations, that's in that word "Fen." 00:44:59.65\00:45:04.56 Then we take the second bit "San," 00:45:04.59\00:45:07.12 which is dispel and it all the people 00:45:07.15\00:45:10.92 in the flesh followed. 00:45:10.95\00:45:12.78 All the flesh followed the people because 00:45:12.81\00:45:16.64 of the confusion and this is the word for dispel. 00:45:16.67\00:45:21.65 So scatter those two words together "Fen san." 00:45:21.68\00:45:27.66 We looked at that, generations were divided, 00:45:27.69\00:45:31.86 8 generations, from creation 00:45:31.89\00:45:34.60 to the Tower of Babel were divided by the knife. 00:45:34.63\00:45:39.28 And all the flesh, all the people followed. 00:45:39.31\00:45:43.74 That's the Chinese word for scatter. 00:45:43.77\00:45:48.62 The Bible says, "Its name is called 'Babel' 00:45:48.65\00:45:52.38 because there the Lord confused 00:45:52.41\00:45:55.25 the language of all the earth 00:45:55.28\00:45:58.05 and from there the Lord scattered them 00:45:58.08\00:46:00.50 over the face of the earth." 00:46:00.53\00:46:04.97 From the Tower of Babel that the Bible talks about 00:46:05.00\00:46:08.90 this is where the Chinese people come from. 00:46:08.93\00:46:11.25 Yes, Huang Di is your original ancestor 00:46:11.28\00:46:15.17 but where did Huang Di come from? 00:46:15.20\00:46:17.13 He came from the Tower of Babel and that's in the Middle East 00:46:17.16\00:46:22.28 and one group after the scattering, 00:46:22.31\00:46:25.02 they traveled to the East. 00:46:25.05\00:46:27.63 The Chinese people originate 00:46:27.66\00:46:29.38 from this group that traveled to the East. 00:46:29.41\00:46:32.18 They migrated to the East. 00:46:32.21\00:46:34.08 And word for migrate is broken up 00:46:34.11\00:46:37.75 and it means something big, 00:46:37.78\00:46:40.56 big division, from the west. 00:46:40.59\00:46:43.91 And people were scattered, a big division from the west. 00:46:48.00\00:46:53.55 You know this is very funny. 00:46:53.58\00:46:55.64 The Chinese people refereed to the west as westerners 00:46:55.67\00:46:59.83 and they come from the East. 00:46:59.86\00:47:02.40 Now let me put it to you, that you are the westerner. 00:47:02.43\00:47:04.77 The Chinese people are the true westerners. 00:47:04.80\00:47:07.28 Because you came from the west 00:47:07.31\00:47:10.30 and you moved to the east and settled in China. 00:47:10.33\00:47:15.21 But you came from the west 00:47:15.24\00:47:16.91 and this is in your word migrate. 00:47:16.94\00:47:20.06 It says in the word migrate you came from the west, 00:47:20.09\00:47:24.77 just as the Bible says. 00:47:24.80\00:47:30.43 So Huang Di was familiar with him 00:47:30.46\00:47:33.55 by now he's a descendent from Babel. 00:47:33.58\00:47:38.39 We've looked at these characters. 00:47:38.42\00:47:39.84 We've seen how their writing system 00:47:42.89\00:47:46.91 was developed under Huang Di, 00:47:46.94\00:47:49.43 and the oldest writing is on shell bone, 00:47:49.46\00:47:52.14 and pottery pieces, and axe heads, 00:47:52.17\00:47:57.40 and bones script 2200 BC, we've seen that. 00:47:57.43\00:48:02.40 We've seen that the truth of creation, 00:48:02.43\00:48:08.51 the entry of a sin, the flood, 00:48:08.54\00:48:10.99 and the Tower of Babel and the scattering, 00:48:11.02\00:48:15.11 are all embedded in your Chinese characters. 00:48:15.14\00:48:20.28 And they can't be removed overnight, 00:48:20.31\00:48:23.85 that'd be an awful lot of undoing to do. 00:48:23.88\00:48:27.33 That you were ahead of the Hebrew people in terms of 00:48:27.36\00:48:32.21 getting these truths embedded in your writing 00:48:32.24\00:48:36.02 because the earliest writing of the Hebrew people 00:48:36.05\00:48:38.81 is around the time of Moses. 00:48:38.84\00:48:40.87 There is Moses in the meridian dessert, 00:48:44.97\00:48:49.16 in the Midian dessert, before the Exodus, 00:48:49.19\00:48:54.72 he's a shepherd and he's writing a book of Genesis. 00:48:54.75\00:49:00.19 Some say, "He wrote is after the Exodus," 00:49:00.22\00:49:02.69 doesn't really matter, 1500 BC, 1400 BC 00:49:02.72\00:49:06.59 it's not a lot, it's not a lot-- 00:49:06.62\00:49:09.30 Chinese writing goes back 2200 BC 00:49:09.33\00:49:12.63 and the Chinese are there in the Shang dynasty 00:49:12.66\00:49:15.94 on the writing on oracle bone, 1770 BC under Huang Di. 00:49:15.97\00:49:22.00 Chinese writing system was developed long before Moses. 00:49:22.03\00:49:26.32 Now I don't want to end this meeting tonight 00:49:26.35\00:49:29.42 without saying something about salvation. 00:49:29.45\00:49:32.35 How did the Chinese people see salvation? 00:49:32.38\00:49:35.23 How did your ancient ancestors see 00:49:35.26\00:49:40.32 that will be made right with God? 00:49:40.35\00:49:42.74 How that would be made right with Shang Di? 00:49:42.77\00:49:45.42 How that would be made right with Yahweh? 00:49:45.45\00:49:47.58 How did you see that? 00:49:47.61\00:49:49.80 Huang Di built his altar to worship Shang Di 00:49:49.83\00:49:53.21 and the word for sacrifice is "Xi" 00:49:53.24\00:49:57.51 and it's made up of a cow and the lamb. 00:49:59.55\00:50:07.39 You take a cow and you take a lamb 00:50:07.42\00:50:09.26 and they must be without blemish. 00:50:09.29\00:50:13.30 And that's exactly what the Holy Bible says 00:50:13.33\00:50:17.49 that "Jesus who this lamb represents 00:50:17.52\00:50:24.24 had to be without blemish, had to be without sin, 00:50:24.27\00:50:27.98 had to be perfect." 00:50:28.01\00:50:29.81 And this cow and lamb without blemish 00:50:29.84\00:50:32.92 was a symbol Jesus Christ who was to come 00:50:32.95\00:50:36.49 in the future without sin, without blemish, 00:50:36.52\00:50:39.64 and He would be the sacrifice for the sins of the world 00:50:39.67\00:50:43.28 and it's embedded in your language in the word sacrifice. 00:50:43.31\00:50:48.00 And you kill this lamb and this cow without blemish 00:50:48.03\00:50:51.81 with a spear and offer this as a sacrificial atonement 00:50:51.84\00:50:57.41 to get at one with God again 00:50:57.44\00:51:01.03 and this is the truth of the Bible. 00:51:01.06\00:51:03.31 This is what Jesus Christ came to do and He did it 00:51:03.34\00:51:06.67 on the cross but it is embedded 00:51:06.70\00:51:08.82 in your language and I thank you for it. 00:51:08.85\00:51:11.94 In Leviticus in the Bible, the book written by Moses, 00:51:15.15\00:51:19.47 he writes that you take an unblemished cow 00:51:19.50\00:51:22.28 and you take an unblemished lamb 00:51:22.31\00:51:24.58 and you offer it as a sacrifice representing Jesus Christ 00:51:24.61\00:51:29.35 who was to come into the future and do exactly that. 00:51:29.38\00:51:33.54 Jesus, Son of God, Lamb of God 00:51:36.34\00:51:40.96 that takes away the sin of the world, 00:51:40.99\00:51:43.65 unblemished took the sin of mankind upon Him 00:51:43.68\00:51:49.36 to take away the sin of the world. 00:51:49.39\00:51:51.52 He is the sacrifice. He is the unblemished lamb. 00:51:51.55\00:51:57.20 Now the word for righteousness, 00:51:57.23\00:51:58.48 I find this absolutely amazing. 00:51:58.51\00:52:01.70 As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, 00:52:01.73\00:52:03.91 I understand what righteousness means, 00:52:03.94\00:52:06.37 what the gospel means, when it comes to 00:52:06.40\00:52:08.15 how you get it, how you get righteousness, 00:52:08.18\00:52:11.09 but it is in your word for righteousness "Yi" 00:52:11.12\00:52:15.00 and it is made up of a lamb. 00:52:15.03\00:52:18.82 And then the lamb is over me and that's the word righteous. 00:52:18.85\00:52:24.04 If I want to be right with God, 00:52:24.07\00:52:25.59 I've got to make sure that I am covered by the lamb. 00:52:25.62\00:52:30.05 The lamb is over me, I'm not over the lamb 00:52:30.08\00:52:33.94 and if I take the word apart, 00:52:33.97\00:52:36.39 just a little bit more I get even more meaning, 00:52:36.42\00:52:41.14 I learned if I take that bottom bit 00:52:41.17\00:52:43.64 of the word "Yi" I get this with a hand 00:52:43.67\00:52:49.28 and a spear is used against the lamb. 00:52:49.31\00:52:56.30 And this word is 4,200 years old, 00:52:56.33\00:53:00.47 2,200 years before Jesus Christ died on the cross. 00:53:00.50\00:53:06.52 Your Chinese character script had a word that captured 00:53:06.55\00:53:11.30 the good news of the gospel where a spear was used 00:53:11.33\00:53:16.10 against the innocent lamb representing our sins 00:53:16.13\00:53:21.01 that killed the unblemished lamb of God 00:53:21.04\00:53:25.07 to take away the sins of the world. 00:53:25.10\00:53:27.11 Praise God. 00:53:30.00\00:53:31.28 Christ's death on the cross prophesy in Chinese writing, 00:53:36.71\00:53:43.70 isn't that just amazing? 00:53:43.73\00:53:48.07 So if we put it all on the chart, 00:53:48.10\00:53:50.33 we can see while the Egyptians 00:53:50.36\00:53:52.74 were building the pyramids in Egypt 00:53:52.77\00:53:55.44 you had already developed a writing system 00:53:55.47\00:53:58.34 that contained the great truths of Scripture 00:53:58.37\00:54:03.46 and I am just so excited about this 00:54:03.49\00:54:06.37 and I hope if you are watching or if you have a DVD, 00:54:06.40\00:54:10.13 that you get it into the hands of some 00:54:10.16\00:54:12.96 of the government leaders in the 00:54:12.99\00:54:14.65 People's Republic of China 00:54:14.68\00:54:17.00 because I believe that if they see 00:54:17.03\00:54:20.38 that they have this head start on the Hebrews 00:54:20.41\00:54:26.89 that they have the Bible concepts in their writing. 00:54:26.92\00:54:31.09 That it's not an American import, 00:54:31.12\00:54:33.25 that its not a foreign religion, 00:54:33.28\00:54:35.94 that it is embedded in your culture and writing. 00:54:35.97\00:54:38.77 I believe if government leaders in China knew this, 00:54:38.80\00:54:42.25 they would open the doors 00:54:42.28\00:54:43.85 to the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus 00:54:46.16\00:54:50.16 to the Chinese people. 00:54:50.19\00:54:52.69 All these great truths the lamb being pierced, 00:54:52.72\00:54:56.59 blood sacrificing, righteousness by faith, 00:54:56.62\00:55:01.08 being washed clean, and eternal life, 00:55:01.11\00:55:03.47 these are all embedded in your characters. 00:55:03.50\00:55:06.61 And I recommend for those who want more reading, 00:55:06.64\00:55:09.93 to get this book by Dr. Ethel Nelson, 00:55:09.96\00:55:14.13 you can get it online, Amazon.com 00:55:14.16\00:55:17.46 "God's Promise to the Chinese." 00:55:17.49\00:55:21.42 And for those who want more reading 00:55:21.45\00:55:23.87 there's another one called, "God and the Ancient Chinese" 00:55:23.90\00:55:27.67 by Dr. Ethel Nelson, her second book. 00:55:27.70\00:55:31.88 And for those who want even more reading 00:55:31.91\00:55:34.58 there is another book 00:55:34.61\00:55:36.06 "Chinese Traditions and Beliefs" 00:55:36.09\00:55:39.36 by Daniel Tong, a Christian writer. 00:55:39.39\00:55:42.83 And for those who want even more evidence 00:55:42.86\00:55:45.14 and I want to do more reading 00:55:45.17\00:55:47.01 there's a 200 page manuscript dated 1852 00:55:47.04\00:55:52.54 by the Reverend James Legge from Princeton University 00:55:52.57\00:55:56.59 who studied Chinese characters script 00:55:56.62\00:55:58.69 and the concepts of the Bible in your language. 00:55:58.72\00:56:02.97 May God bless you, 00:56:03.00\00:56:04.69 as you reflect on the contents of this message, 00:56:04.72\00:56:07.46 that it is embedded in your language 00:56:07.49\00:56:09.95 and I thank God for the Chinese. 00:56:09.98\00:56:12.53 Amen. 00:56:12.56\00:56:13.99 If this presentation has gripped your attention 00:56:17.60\00:56:20.02 and you have some questions or wish to get DVD's 00:56:20.05\00:56:22.84 of this message to share with others, 00:56:22.87\00:56:24.64 please contact us at HKEA at hkea.org.au. 00:56:24.67\00:56:30.75 Thank you for watching this presentation. 00:56:30.78\00:56:33.62
