The escalation of global terrorism, crime, immorality 00:00:09.21\00:00:12.74 and natural disasters, seems to indicate our world 00:00:12.77\00:00:15.36 is spiraling towards it's ultimate hour with destiny. 00:00:15.39\00:00:18.39 Who, if anyone, will survive Earth's final events? 00:00:18.42\00:00:21.61 Discover what Bible prophecy reveals about the rapture, 00:00:21.64\00:00:24.40 the mark of the beast, and armageddon. 00:00:24.43\00:00:26.63 Though shrouded in mystery for centuries, 00:00:26.66\00:00:28.57 the book of Revelation can be understood today. 00:00:28.60\00:00:32.42 Peer into the future, and see what wonderful things 00:00:32.45\00:00:35.30 God has planned for His people. 00:00:35.33\00:00:38.22 And now, Pastor Brian McMahon presents the powerful 00:00:38.25\00:00:41.33 Bible seminar "Revelation Speaks Hope". 00:00:41.36\00:00:46.33 Our subject for this evening is "When Grace becomes a Disgrace". 00:00:48.82\00:00:53.84 Now, last night that we were together here at the seminar 00:00:53.87\00:00:57.11 we discovered that throughout the Bible there's a clear, 00:00:57.14\00:00:59.81 harmonious chain of Bible truth that establishes 00:00:59.84\00:01:04.49 that the Christian is to be obedient unto God 00:01:04.52\00:01:07.39 with a heartfelt desire of love for Jesus. 00:01:07.42\00:01:11.08 As we went through the Scriptures from 00:01:11.11\00:01:14.16 the Old Testament to the New Testament, we found many texts 00:01:14.19\00:01:17.52 that tells us that we want to be an obedient people as Christians 00:01:17.55\00:01:21.56 and even in the book of Revelation we found that 00:01:21.59\00:01:23.20 Revelation saints are known for being a commandment 00:01:23.23\00:01:25.22 keeping people. And yet, as we went to texts 00:01:25.25\00:01:28.51 such as Matthew 7, we saw that there was a very sad 00:01:28.54\00:01:33.38 situation that's going to arise, and that is that a lot of people 00:01:33.41\00:01:38.63 who thought that they are going to be saved 00:01:38.66\00:01:40.33 will not be, and we wondered why? 00:01:40.36\00:01:42.74 Why would they not be saved even though they were speaking 00:01:42.77\00:01:45.68 in Jesus' name, casting out devils in Jesus' name, 00:01:45.71\00:01:48.80 doing many wonderful works in Jesus' name, 00:01:48.83\00:01:51.57 and Jesus said it was because they didn't do the will 00:01:51.60\00:01:53.99 of the Father which was in heaven. 00:01:54.02\00:01:55.99 So wanting to know what the will of the Father in heaven was 00:01:56.02\00:01:57.96 we went to Psalm 40:8 and we found that the will of God 00:01:57.99\00:02:01.05 is to have God's law written in our hearts. 00:02:01.08\00:02:04.57 Now, perhaps you have heard people say: 00:02:04.60\00:02:08.16 "Well, you don't have to be obedient to those" 00:02:08.19\00:02:09.84 "10 commandments, that was done away with when Jesus came. " 00:02:09.87\00:02:12.88 Or, "that was nailed to the cross when Jesus died. " 00:02:12.91\00:02:15.50 Others will say: "Jesus fulfilled the law, therefore we" 00:02:15.53\00:02:17.92 "don't have to", others will say: "we're under grace now," 00:02:17.95\00:02:21.33 "so law then becomes bondage, any kind of commandment" 00:02:21.36\00:02:23.90 "is wrong for us", or some kind of version of that. 00:02:23.93\00:02:27.16 So very sincere people often want to wonder 00:02:27.19\00:02:30.48 what do those texts mean that people use try to do away 00:02:30.51\00:02:34.68 with God's law, when the Bible seems to indicate so clearly 00:02:34.71\00:02:37.31 that we are to follow the 10 commandments. 00:02:37.34\00:02:39.61 So as we begin tonight, I'm going to take you through 00:02:39.64\00:02:41.74 some texts up on the screen rather quickly, 00:02:41.77\00:02:44.53 just to show you how these 2 sides develop. 00:02:44.56\00:02:47.17 Would you go with me to James 2:10. 00:02:47.20\00:02:51.03 James 2, found after the book of Hebrews. 00:02:51.06\00:02:54.81 We're going to look at some texts rather quickly, 00:02:54.84\00:02:56.73 and then we'll come back to those texts and look at them 00:02:56.76\00:02:59.21 in a little more detail. James 2:10-12. 00:02:59.24\00:03:05.00 Here's what the Bible says: [text on screen] 00:03:05.03\00:03:08.43 That clearly establishes God's law, we're told here that 00:03:25.75\00:03:28.65 we can't break even so much as 1 of them, not willingly, 00:03:28.68\00:03:31.54 and find ourselves innocent. God says if you break 1 00:03:31.57\00:03:34.01 He considers it if you consider them all. 00:03:34.04\00:03:36.67 So we put that 1 on the left side of the screen, 00:03:36.70\00:03:40.74 and we're going to look at one on the right side of the screen 00:03:40.77\00:03:43.34 that's often used by people to try to convince others 00:03:43.37\00:03:45.84 that they don't have to obey the 10 commandments. 00:03:45.87\00:03:48.07 It's found in Colossians 2:14. It begins like this: 00:03:48.10\00:03:52.15 [text on screen] 00:03:52.18\00:03:54.82 So it talks about a law that was nailed to the cross, 00:04:05.36\00:04:07.55 many people think that that law was the 10 commandments, 00:04:07.58\00:04:09.95 therefore they say the 10 commandments are done away with. 00:04:09.98\00:04:13.54 That's one on the right hand side of the screen that's 00:04:14.14\00:04:15.75 often confusing to people. Let's look at 1 again 00:04:15.78\00:04:18.13 on the left, it's very clear. We looked at it our last night 00:04:18.16\00:04:20.71 together, Matthew 5:17,18. 00:04:20.74\00:04:24.57 Jesus is speaking, He says: [text on screen] 00:04:25.36\00:04:28.62 We'll look at the word "fulfill" later on tonight. 00:04:32.90\00:04:35.65 Then He says: [continues reading] 00:04:35.68\00:04:38.15 Then in Matthew 5:19 Jesus says: [text on screen] 00:04:44.20\00:04:48.13 Now, I don't think that that means that people are going to 00:04:54.58\00:04:56.66 be in the kingdom of heaven if they want to break 00:04:56.69\00:04:58.27 God's commandments, it means that those in heaven 00:04:58.30\00:05:01.14 will call that person the least, that's what it's telling us here 00:05:01.17\00:05:04.24 So that's very clear, Jesus said till heaven and earth 00:05:04.27\00:05:06.49 pass away, not the smallest part of God's law 00:05:06.52\00:05:08.98 is going to pass away. I wish people would just 00:05:09.01\00:05:11.42 remember that text, that's all you would need right there, 00:05:11.45\00:05:13.43 but unfortunately people still believe other things. 00:05:13.46\00:05:16.37 So let's go now to the right side of the screen again, 00:05:16.40\00:05:18.89 Ephesians 2:15 is another confusing text, 00:05:18.92\00:05:22.80 for some at least, and here's what it says, Ephesians 2:15: 00:05:22.83\00:05:26.96 [text on screen] 00:05:26.99\00:05:29.03 "ordinances" - that's an important word, 00:05:33.02\00:05:36.36 "twain" - which means of 2, speaking of the Jews 00:05:37.77\00:05:39.98 and Gentile. [text on screen] 00:05:40.01\00:05:42.18 Now here it clearly talks about a law, 00:05:42.93\00:05:45.04 and it says clearly it was abolished, but it says that 00:05:45.07\00:05:47.41 that law was contained in ordinances, we'll look at that 00:05:47.44\00:05:50.36 later on, and some people think that that law 00:05:50.39\00:05:52.29 that was abolished was the 10 commandments. 00:05:52.32\00:05:54.25 Let's look at another one here on the left side, 00:05:54.28\00:05:56.68 these very clear texts, Revelation 14:12, 00:05:56.71\00:05:59.74 we also looked at this before we closed our other night, 00:05:59.77\00:06:02.93 and here's what it says: [text on screen] 00:06:02.96\00:06:05.63 So Revelation again says that down at the end of time 00:06:10.94\00:06:13.55 during this remarkable period called "the mark of the beast", 00:06:13.58\00:06:17.06 then we will also have a people that will be keeping 00:06:17.09\00:06:19.84 God's commandments, so that's very clear, no doubt about it. 00:06:19.87\00:06:23.54 Let's look at another text, this is probably, this one 00:06:23.57\00:06:25.94 that I'm going to show you, Romans 6:14, it's probably 00:06:25.97\00:06:29.47 right up there with one of the most used texts by people 00:06:29.50\00:06:31.60 that somehow go around teaching other Christians that they 00:06:31.63\00:06:35.09 no longer have to honor God's commandments. 00:06:35.12\00:06:37.57 Romans 6:14 says this: [text on screen] 00:06:37.60\00:06:40.53 So they'll say: "see, now that grace has come," 00:06:45.44\00:06:47.12 "somehow we don't have to have law any more. " 00:06:47.15\00:06:49.73 Alright, we'll come back to that. 00:06:49.76\00:06:51.96 One more on the left side, we'll have 1 more pairing up here. 00:06:51.99\00:06:54.91 1 John 2:3-4, we did look at this also the other night, 00:06:54.94\00:06:58.11 so it's a good review for us all, 1 John 2:3-4 says this: 00:06:58.14\00:07:02.64 [text on screen] 00:07:02.67\00:07:04.78 Oh friends, that's not Pastor McMahon saying that up here 00:07:20.51\00:07:23.35 tonight, that's the Bible saying that, amen? 00:07:23.38\00:07:25.74 That's the Bible saying that, so here we're told 00:07:25.77\00:07:28.11 "Don't put yourself against God's commandments" 00:07:28.14\00:07:29.91 and say you love God because the Bible will call you a liar. 00:07:29.94\00:07:34.13 So that's 1 more here on the left side, 00:07:34.56\00:07:37.21 we're going to put 1 more on the right, 00:07:37.24\00:07:38.66 complete our pairings, Galatians 3:23, 00:07:38.69\00:07:42.26 here's what Scripture says: [text on screen] 00:07:42.29\00:07:45.58 Then Paul goes on to say: [text on screen] 00:07:51.42\00:07:54.32 So people will say: "see, now that we have faith," 00:08:05.20\00:08:08.00 "we no longer need law. " Well, perhaps now you can see 00:08:08.03\00:08:12.29 from these 8 texts, 4 on the left and 4 on the right, 00:08:12.32\00:08:16.38 why this issue has come about. There'll be those that will 00:08:16.41\00:08:19.92 quote the texts on the left side of the screen 00:08:19.95\00:08:21.83 and say: "See, the law is very clear, the Bible's clear" 00:08:21.86\00:08:24.33 "that we should be obeying God's commandments. " 00:08:24.36\00:08:26.17 Then there'll be those that will quote the text on the right side 00:08:26.20\00:08:28.23 and say: "See, we don't need it. " 00:08:28.26\00:08:30.52 Now keep in mind that none of these texts 00:08:30.55\00:08:33.13 that we've put on the screen contradict each other. 00:08:33.16\00:08:35.18 They all can be harmonized, but sometimes there's 00:08:35.21\00:08:39.24 an apparent contradiction. As we looked at opening night, 00:08:39.27\00:08:42.99 if we have an apparent contradiction, we need to study 00:08:43.02\00:08:45.94 more because when we study more we'll see that that apparcency 00:08:45.97\00:08:49.21 is only in our own mind, it's not really in the Bible. 00:08:49.24\00:08:52.24 Now, our last night we found out that there is sin 00:08:52.27\00:08:55.72 in our world. I asked you "how many believe" 00:08:55.75\00:08:57.60 "that there's sin?" And all the hands went up, 00:08:57.63\00:08:59.85 well if we believe that there's sin, then we want to know 00:08:59.88\00:09:01.68 what sin is. So we looked for a Biblical 00:09:01.71\00:09:04.08 definition of what sin is, and 1 John 3:4 gave us 00:09:04.11\00:09:10.27 the answer, it tells us: [text on screen] 00:09:10.30\00:09:13.01 So therefore we know that if we have sin today, 00:09:15.74\00:09:18.62 we must have God's law, because the sin is the breaking 00:09:18.65\00:09:21.26 of the law, and if we had no more law, you would have 00:09:21.29\00:09:23.72 no more sin. I'm going to do something 00:09:23.75\00:09:25.77 a little bit unusual now. I'm going to quote from a very 00:09:25.80\00:09:28.33 famous speaker, one who's name I'm sure probably all of you 00:09:28.36\00:09:32.56 have heard of at least some time, his name is Billy Graham. 00:09:32.59\00:09:35.45 [text on screen] 00:09:35.48\00:09:37.63 Can the audience say amen to that? 00:09:47.45\00:09:49.93 [Audience] Amen [continues to read] 00:09:49.96\00:09:53.09 So this very famous Christian evangelist makes the comment, 00:10:12.72\00:10:16.98 and he says there are 2 kinds of law talked about 00:10:17.01\00:10:20.31 in the Bible, 1 is moral and is expressed 00:10:20.34\00:10:22.79 in the 10 commandments, the other is of a ceremonial type, 00:10:22.82\00:10:26.59 concerning rituals of food and drink, and matters 00:10:26.62\00:10:29.35 of that kind. Now, it's nice to see 00:10:29.38\00:10:31.25 that Billy Graham said that because he was right 00:10:31.28\00:10:33.23 when he said that, but we want to make sure that we don't take 00:10:33.26\00:10:35.72 the word of man, we've learned that in the seminar, right? 00:10:35.75\00:10:38.19 So we're going to go to the Bible and see where this comes 00:10:38.22\00:10:40.38 from in the Bible. Go with me to the Old Testament 00:10:40.41\00:10:42.71 to the book of 2 Kings if you would please. 00:10:42.74\00:10:44.98 2 Kings 21:8, here's what the Bible says: 00:10:45.01\00:10:49.40 "Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more" 00:10:49.43\00:10:52.75 "out of the land which I gave their fathers;" 00:10:52.78\00:10:55.14 [text on screen] 00:10:55.17\00:10:57.25 Okay, let's pause here. Notice, God says: 00:11:04.26\00:11:06.30 "I commanded law, and My servant Moses, commanded law", 00:11:06.33\00:11:09.52 keep in mind that all the law originally comes from God, 00:11:09.55\00:11:12.47 but some, God gave directly, and a some, God chose to give 00:11:12.50\00:11:15.56 through His servant, Moses. So He says there are 2 different 00:11:15.59\00:11:18.96 law spoken here, some given by God, and some given 00:11:18.99\00:11:21.18 by Moses. Let's take a look at these 00:11:21.21\00:11:23.31 2 different kinds of law, and see what was contained 00:11:23.34\00:11:25.73 in each. To do that, I'd like you 00:11:25.76\00:11:27.80 to turn with me to Exodus 31 as we first look at God's law. 00:11:27.83\00:11:31.18 [text on screen] 00:11:31.21\00:11:33.38 It was written with what? The finger of God. 00:11:42.30\00:11:44.71 Now, how very important, no question about it, 00:11:44.74\00:11:47.98 based on that verse, who wrote that law? 00:11:48.01\00:11:51.50 God wrote that law, and what did He write it with? 00:11:52.30\00:11:55.64 Written with His finger, and what did He write it on? 00:11:55.78\00:11:58.63 He wrote it on stone. 00:11:58.66\00:12:00.29 God wrote it with His finger on stone, don't forget it. 00:12:00.32\00:12:03.28 Now let's go to another text, go to Deuteronomy 10:1,2. 00:12:03.31\00:12:08.76 It says: [text on screen] 00:12:08.79\00:12:11.33 "hew thee" - which means "carve thee", [continues reading] 00:12:11.80\00:12:14.74 So where was this law placed? It was placed in the Ark. 00:12:48.29\00:12:53.50 Let me just pause there for a moment. 00:12:53.53\00:12:55.25 When it says they were placed in the Ark, 00:12:55.28\00:12:57.63 it doesn't mean they were put in Noah's Ark, 00:12:57.66\00:13:01.43 some people that are a little bit newer to the Bible, 00:13:01.46\00:13:03.46 that's the only Ark that they're aware of. 00:13:03.49\00:13:05.31 This is not talking about being placed in Noah's Ark, 00:13:05.34\00:13:07.27 this is a different kind of Ark. It was a special piece 00:13:07.30\00:13:09.97 of furniture, it was like a box that was made out of wood, 00:13:10.00\00:13:13.21 it was covered in gold, inside and out, 00:13:13.24\00:13:14.95 it had a solid gold lid called the mercy seat, 00:13:14.98\00:13:17.56 and it was in that piece of furniture that God placed 00:13:17.59\00:13:20.40 the 10 commandments. 00:13:20.43\00:13:22.45 A summary now, just so we can see it all together, 00:13:22.48\00:13:25.30 [text on screen] 00:13:25.33\00:13:27.41 God Himself gave it that name. Now let's go see what happened 00:13:36.91\00:13:40.92 under Moses' law, something very very different. 00:13:40.95\00:13:43.88 If you would just stay there in Deuteronomy, 00:13:43.91\00:13:46.30 but go to Chapter 31, let's start in verse 9. 00:13:46.33\00:13:50.60 Deuteronomy 31:9, the Bible says [text on screen] 00:13:50.63\00:13:54.72 Pause there, who wrote this law according to Scripture? 00:14:04.68\00:14:07.28 Moses did. Let's put it up on the screen, 00:14:07.31\00:14:10.86 let's get that one up there so we can see that one 00:14:10.89\00:14:12.51 was written by God, this one says specifically, 00:14:12.54\00:14:15.34 Moses wrote it. Let's go down to verse 24, 00:14:15.37\00:14:19.63 here it says: [text on screen] 00:14:19.94\00:14:22.44 Now we're going to pick up a lot more clues here. 00:14:42.66\00:14:45.03 Moses' law was done with hand writings, okay? 00:14:45.06\00:14:49.08 He wrote it out himself, he didn't do it with just 00:14:49.11\00:14:51.50 1 finger like God did, he did it with handwriting, 00:14:51.53\00:14:54.32 and it was placed in what? It was placed in a book. 00:14:54.35\00:14:57.95 Now, we would call it a scroll today, they called it 00:14:57.98\00:15:00.45 a book here, but we would know that they write 00:15:00.48\00:15:02.34 in what we would today call a scroll, 00:15:02.37\00:15:04.98 and also it was placed in a different area, 00:15:05.01\00:15:08.18 it was placed in the side of the Ark, 00:15:08.21\00:15:09.70 so the Ark had a compartment, or at least the ability 00:15:09.73\00:15:14.27 for the scroll to be placed on the outside. 00:15:14.30\00:15:16.91 The 10 commandments was on the inside, 00:15:16.94\00:15:18.88 the scroll was placed on the side of the Ark. 00:15:18.91\00:15:21.98 Very very important. 00:15:22.01\00:15:23.29 What else have we learnt from this passage? 00:15:23.32\00:15:24.94 It was called "The Book of the Law", different name 00:15:24.97\00:15:27.68 was given to it, and it was spoken of as being 00:15:27.71\00:15:30.68 against the people. Now, we're not finished yet, 00:15:30.71\00:15:34.10 you'll see why all this information is important 00:15:34.13\00:15:36.43 before we're through tonight. Let's keep reading. 00:15:36.46\00:15:38.19 Go to Leviticus 23:5, it says: [text on screen] 00:15:38.22\00:15:41.63 "at even" - which means at evening, [continues reading] 00:15:44.04\00:15:47.20 So it's going on and saying specific things that happen 00:15:55.57\00:15:57.70 on specific days, [text on screen] 00:15:57.73\00:16:00.67 "holy convocation" - which means a holy gathering of the people. 00:16:02.41\00:16:06.26 He says: [text on screen] 00:16:06.29\00:16:08.39 Notice when it comes, I'll come back to it, 00:16:42.54\00:16:46.18 So here we find some very special, holy days, 00:16:46.77\00:16:51.70 that were required to be obeyed in Moses' ceremonial law. 00:16:51.73\00:16:55.24 1, we find, is the passover, another that was mentioned there 00:16:55.27\00:16:58.85 is the Wave Sheaf Offering. 00:16:58.88\00:17:01.94 Let's go on to another one, stay in Leviticus 23, 00:17:01.97\00:17:04.50 but this time we're going to look at verse 13 together. 00:17:04.53\00:17:07.08 It says: [text on screen] 00:17:07.11\00:17:09.38 So another thing that was required in the ceremonial law 00:17:22.15\00:17:25.34 of Moses was what we call Meat and Drink offerings. 00:17:25.37\00:17:28.95 You're going to see this also mentioned in other places 00:17:28.98\00:17:31.30 of the Scripture and you're going to see why it's important. 00:17:31.33\00:17:33.36 So we have the Passover mentioned, 00:17:33.39\00:17:35.04 Wave Sheaf Offering, they had other days, but we're going 00:17:35.07\00:17:36.86 to just take these for now; meat and drink offerings also. 00:17:36.89\00:17:40.01 One more thing we want to get on the right side of the screen 00:17:40.04\00:17:42.36 found in Leviticus 23:24: [text on screen] 00:17:42.39\00:17:45.67 Why do we bring this up? Because in Moses' law 00:18:12.32\00:18:14.98 they had ceremonial Sabbath days. 00:18:15.01\00:18:18.40 Notice that these days came once a year, sort of like your 00:18:18.43\00:18:21.78 birthday that comes around once a year, and it can fall 00:18:21.81\00:18:24.44 on any day of the week, depending on what year it is. 00:18:24.47\00:18:27.48 Some days can fall on Sunday, some years it might be 00:18:27.51\00:18:31.35 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... who knows, it depends 00:18:31.38\00:18:32.96 on what year it was, so same with these days. 00:18:32.99\00:18:35.01 It came on a date on the calendar, not necessarily 00:18:35.04\00:18:38.16 a day of the week. But anyway, they did come 00:18:38.19\00:18:42.32 once a year, and they were ceremonial in nature, 00:18:42.35\00:18:45.17 and they were called Sabbath days. 00:18:45.20\00:18:47.58 So what we're seeing here is that the Bible shows us 00:18:47.61\00:18:50.40 through the sacrificial system [text on screen] 00:18:50.43\00:18:55.32 Moses' law called ceremonial because it dealt with 00:18:57.96\00:19:00.99 ceremonial things. Here's one that we looked at 00:19:01.02\00:19:03.91 at the very beginning. Colossians 2:14, 00:19:03.94\00:19:06.78 Scripture says: [text on screen] 00:19:06.81\00:19:09.27 Notice something interesting here before we go on, 00:19:21.28\00:19:24.90 it mentions meat and drink. Which law, God's or Moses' 00:19:24.93\00:19:28.48 had the meat and drink? Moses' did. 00:19:28.51\00:19:30.81 It says "in respect of an holyday", that word literally 00:19:30.84\00:19:32.77 means "feast days". Which law, God's or Moses' 00:19:32.80\00:19:35.27 had the feast days? Moses did. 00:19:35.30\00:19:37.82 "Or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days", notice how 00:19:37.85\00:19:40.53 it's pluralized, it's talking about various Sabbaths 00:19:40.56\00:19:43.80 that were given. The Old Testament ceremonial 00:19:43.83\00:19:45.79 law had 7 annual Sabbath's and it's speaking in plural, 00:19:45.82\00:19:49.35 it had the annual Sabbath days, but to get the entire context 00:19:49.38\00:19:53.82 we go to verse 17. Here it says: 00:19:53.85\00:19:56.60 [text on screen] 00:19:56.63\00:19:58.70 So these things are shadows, they pointed forward 00:20:00.80\00:20:04.21 to that which would be in Jesus. 00:20:04.24\00:20:06.37 So we want to get another text up here on the screen. 00:20:06.40\00:20:09.70 Ephesians 2:15: [text on screen] 00:20:09.73\00:20:12.29 Well, let's take a look at that word "ordinances" if we could. 00:20:22.76\00:20:26.02 Now, "ordinances" mean, here's where we really get 00:20:26.05\00:20:28.55 into the Bible study, "ordinances" mean requirements, 00:20:28.58\00:20:32.62 requirements regarding religious festivals, 00:20:32.65\00:20:35.31 feasts or sacrificial offerings. 00:20:35.34\00:20:37.77 So which law, God's or Moses' had the requirements 00:20:37.80\00:20:39.96 regarding the religious festivals, and feasts, 00:20:39.99\00:20:42.01 and sacrificial offerings? Moses' did. 00:20:42.04\00:20:44.25 Then it talked about it being against us. 00:20:44.28\00:20:47.58 We know that Moses law was spoken of as being 00:20:47.61\00:20:49.61 against the people, so this is very important. 00:20:49.64\00:20:52.87 We're looking now at a law that was abolished, 00:20:52.90\00:20:56.82 that was contained in ordinances. 00:20:56.85\00:21:01.12 Let me show you exactly how the Bible points forward 00:21:01.15\00:21:04.96 to this. Go into Hebrews 9:8-10. 00:21:04.99\00:21:12.10 Notice what it says: [text on screen] 00:21:12.64\00:21:15.00 The Bible speaks about 2 specific tabernacles, 00:21:24.92\00:21:28.92 the earthly and the heavenly, we'll talk more about 00:21:28.95\00:21:30.90 the heavenly on another night. It says: "which was a figure", 00:21:30.93\00:21:34.83 that means a type, [text on screen] 00:21:34.86\00:21:37.33 So what is all this telling us dear friends? 00:21:54.94\00:21:56.87 It's saying that that which took place in the earthly tabernacle, 00:21:56.90\00:22:00.79 the sacrifices, the feasts, the various meat and drinks 00:22:00.82\00:22:04.44 that were offered up there. All of these things 00:22:04.47\00:22:06.74 were a type that was imposed on the people until a time 00:22:06.77\00:22:10.27 of reformation. What was the time of reformation? 00:22:10.30\00:22:13.77 It was the time of the cross according to Ephesians 2:15 00:22:13.80\00:22:18.62 and other places that we could look at 00:22:18.65\00:22:20.08 We're going to look at one in 1 Corinthians 5:7. 00:22:20.11\00:22:25.92 [text on screen] 00:22:25.95\00:22:28.66 Leaven was a type of sin. 00:22:30.25\00:22:34.31 It was a symbol of sin, I should say. 00:22:35.21\00:22:37.42 "unleavened" means being without sin, [continues reading] 00:22:38.27\00:22:41.30 So notice how the Bible specifically says 00:22:46.17\00:22:48.23 the passover was fulfilled in Jesus. 00:22:48.26\00:22:50.92 All of the types that were offered, all of those centuries 00:22:50.95\00:22:54.89 had now met the fulfillment in Jesus, when Jesus was 00:22:54.92\00:22:58.48 the true lamb of God that was sacrificed there on Calvary. 00:22:58.51\00:23:02.13 So, we see this brought out in the Scriptures, 00:23:02.16\00:23:06.25 that Christ is our passover that died for us. 00:23:06.28\00:23:08.40 Jesus died on Friday afternoon, there's the passover, 00:23:08.43\00:23:13.33 then He laid in the tomb the next day, which was the Sabbath, 00:23:13.36\00:23:17.53 then He rose the third day according to 00:23:17.56\00:23:20.13 the Wave Sheaf promise. Now let's take a look at it, 00:23:20.16\00:23:22.86 1 Corinthians 15:20-23. [text on screen] 00:23:22.89\00:23:26.33 "firstfruits" - so it's using the terminology 00:23:31.18\00:23:33.48 of the Old Testament. 00:23:33.51\00:23:34.54 [Text on screen] 00:23:34.57\00:23:37.13 So notice God is very specific about how things occur. 00:23:47.94\00:23:52.04 Christ is the down payment, Christ is the earnest, 00:23:54.00\00:23:56.63 Christ is the preeminent one that will come from the grave. 00:23:56.66\00:23:59.18 Then it says: [text on screen] 00:23:59.21\00:24:01.30 So here we see the promise that because Jesus died 00:24:04.96\00:24:08.51 and was resurrected the 3rd day, and He's the firstfruits 00:24:08.54\00:24:12.39 of the harvest, so there will be a great harvest to come. 00:24:12.42\00:24:15.97 Now that's the prophecy, now let's see the fulfillment of it. 00:24:16.00\00:24:19.48 Now let's look at Revelation 14:14: 00:24:19.85\00:24:23.08 [text on screen] 00:24:23.11\00:24:25.21 "And another Angel came out of the temple crying with a loud" 00:24:33.32\00:24:35.45 "voice to Him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in Thy sickle" 00:24:35.48\00:24:38.41 "and reap" [text on screen] 00:24:38.44\00:24:41.18 "And He that sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle" 00:24:43.11\00:24:46.63 "on the earth, and the earth was reaped. " 00:24:46.66\00:24:48.79 So here's the great harvest mentioned, he even uses 00:24:48.82\00:24:51.00 the word "harvest", it is the harvest of the earth 00:24:51.03\00:24:54.22 as Jesus comes to reach the righteous. 00:24:54.25\00:24:56.87 What a wonderful, wonderful way of showing it to us. 00:24:56.90\00:25:00.61 So Jesus is showing us the harvest that'll be saved 00:25:00.64\00:25:05.41 at His coming. We have 2 great laws 00:25:05.44\00:25:08.97 talked about in Scripture, 1 is moral, 1 is ceremonial; 00:25:09.00\00:25:15.65 1 is permanent and 1 is temporary. 00:25:15.68\00:25:21.96 As you look at these 2 laws all given up here on the screen, 00:25:21.99\00:25:27.45 we can just see very quickly that there are diametrical 00:25:27.48\00:25:30.05 differences between them. 00:25:30.08\00:25:32.44 1 is talked about on stone, 1 is talk about written 00:25:32.47\00:25:35.49 on a scroll, or put in a book. 00:25:35.52\00:25:37.80 Just the materials alone demonstrate that 1 was meant 00:25:37.83\00:25:40.50 to be permanent, and 1 was meant to be of a passing nature, 00:25:40.53\00:25:43.29 otherwise God would have put them both on stone, 00:25:43.32\00:25:45.34 but He didn't, 1 is on stone, 1 is on paper. 00:25:45.37\00:25:49.26 1 shows us what sin is, the other shows us what to do 00:25:49.29\00:25:54.38 when you sin. God is good the Bible tells us 00:25:54.41\00:25:57.78 in Luke 18:19; the law is good in Romans 7:12. 00:25:57.81\00:26:01.93 God is Holy the Bible tells us in Isaiah 5:16, 00:26:01.96\00:26:05.29 the law is Holy, Romans 7:12. 00:26:05.32\00:26:07.03 God is Just, Deuteronomy 32:4, the law is just, Romans 7:12. 00:26:07.06\00:26:11.04 God is perfect, Matthew 5:48, the law is perfect, Psalm 19:7. 00:26:11.07\00:26:15.60 God is love, 1 John 4:8, the law is love, Romans 13:10. 00:26:15.63\00:26:20.62 God is righteous, Exodus 9:27, 00:26:20.65\00:26:22.78 the law is called righteous, Psalm 119:172. 00:26:22.81\00:26:25.30 God is truth, Deuteronomy 32:4, 00:26:25.33\00:26:27.06 the law is truth, Psalm 19:142, 151. 00:26:27.09\00:26:30.07 God is pure, 1 John 3:3, the law is pure, Psalm 19:8. 00:26:30.10\00:26:33.34 God is spiritual, John 4:24, the law is spiritual, Romans 7:12. 00:26:33.37\00:26:36.68 God is unchangeable, Malachi 3:6, 00:26:36.71\00:26:38.42 the law is unchangeable, Matthew 5:18. 00:26:38.45\00:26:40.34 God is eternal, Genesis 21:33, 00:26:40.37\00:26:42.15 the law is eternal, Psalm 111:7,8. 00:26:42.18\00:26:45.59 People will say: "doesn't the Bible teach we're not" 00:26:45.62\00:26:47.35 "under the law? Doesn't the Bible teach" 00:26:47.38\00:26:49.39 "that somehow we just don't have law any more" 00:26:49.42\00:26:52.53 "when we have grace?" Well, let's go take a look 00:26:52.56\00:26:54.68 at Romans 6:14 again, I told you this is probably the most 00:26:54.71\00:26:57.81 quoted verse to try to convince people they don't have 00:26:57.84\00:27:00.47 to have 10 commandments any more. 00:27:00.50\00:27:02.33 Well, Romans 6:14 says: [text on screen] 00:27:02.36\00:27:05.54 So in verse 15 he says: [text on screen] 00:27:10.28\00:27:13.90 "God forbid", and we know that according to 1 John 3:4, 00:27:20.49\00:27:25.01 sin is the transgression of the law. 00:27:25.04\00:27:27.82 So what he's saying here is now that we have grace 00:27:27.85\00:27:29.87 can we go on sinning? Can we go on transgressing 00:27:29.90\00:27:32.38 God's law, and he uses the strongest language 00:27:32.41\00:27:35.34 that he could use, he says: "God forbid". 00:27:35.37\00:27:38.61 In English we'd say: "Certainly not", 00:27:38.64\00:27:40.85 Something along those lines. People get confused here 00:27:40.88\00:27:44.18 because the simply don't understand what it means 00:27:44.21\00:27:45.76 to be under the law, so let's take a look at the question. 00:27:45.79\00:27:48.35 What exactly does he mean when he talks about 00:27:48.38\00:27:50.55 being under the law? [text on screen] 00:27:50.58\00:27:53.06 Trying to use the law as a way of being obedient 00:27:56.12\00:28:01.99 and then be saved through that obedience. 00:28:02.02\00:28:04.77 To show you that we go to Romans 3:19,20: 00:28:04.80\00:28:07.83 [text on screen] 00:28:07.86\00:28:10.90 So he's saying that the law, when it speaks to those 00:28:19.22\00:28:22.42 who are under it, it'll simply make them guilty, 00:28:22.45\00:28:24.52 that's all it will do, it can't save, it can only condemn. 00:28:24.55\00:28:27.16 Now what does it say in verse 20 as he draws a summary? 00:28:27.19\00:28:30.29 He says: "by the deeds of the law" - which means 00:28:30.32\00:28:33.07 the doing of the law, [text on screen] 00:28:33.10\00:28:36.26 So he's saying: to those who are under the law 00:28:40.81\00:28:43.66 all it can do is pronounce them guilty. 00:28:43.69\00:28:45.68 You can't be justified by it, the law simply shows you 00:28:45.71\00:28:48.62 a knowledge of sin. So since we have all done that, 00:28:48.65\00:28:52.68 since we have all broken God's law, that means death 00:28:52.71\00:28:55.80 to those who are under the law, they try to use the law 00:28:55.83\00:29:00.91 as a system of salvation. But the Christian knows 00:29:00.94\00:29:03.11 that that can't be done, so to be under grace then means 00:29:03.14\00:29:05.95 to the accept God's grace as a means of salvation. 00:29:05.98\00:29:09.04 How do we do that? By faith in Christ's death 00:29:09.07\00:29:11.29 for us, then that righteous life that He has lived 00:29:11.39\00:29:14.82 is in place of our unrighteous life. 00:29:14.85\00:29:17.52 You see, really folks, properly understood, 00:29:17.55\00:29:21.15 there's no conflict between the law and the gospel. 00:29:21.18\00:29:24.13 Even though a lot of people like to proclaim a conflict 00:29:24.16\00:29:26.79 between the law and the gospel, there is no conflict 00:29:26.82\00:29:29.18 between the law and the gospel, there is no conflict really 00:29:29.21\00:29:31.91 between law and grace. Let me try to share it with you: 00:29:31.94\00:29:34.48 the Bible says the wages of sin is death, that's Romans 6:23, 00:29:34.51\00:29:38.92 and how many of us have sinned according to Scripture? 00:29:38.95\00:29:41.30 All have sinned, that's Romans 3:23, 00:29:41.33\00:29:43.54 and what shows us that we have sinned? 00:29:43.57\00:29:45.74 The law, 1 John 3:4, Romans 3:20. 00:29:45.77\00:29:49.66 So that's why the law is our teacher, or the law is our 00:29:49.69\00:29:53.28 schoolmaster because it shows us that we have a need in our life. 00:29:53.31\00:29:57.50 If we didn't know we had a need, we would never go 00:29:57.53\00:29:59.42 to the one who could take care of that need. 00:29:59.45\00:30:01.12 So the law is a teacher in that respect. 00:30:01.15\00:30:04.11 Then the Bible says: "the law's good", 00:30:04.14\00:30:06.04 Romans 7:12, why is it called good? 00:30:06.07\00:30:07.87 Because it does us a tremendous favor in showing us 00:30:07.90\00:30:10.66 our true condition. I like to say it's diagnostic. 00:30:10.69\00:30:14.04 It means it diagnoses our true condition, and it tells us 00:30:14.07\00:30:16.53 what we need. 00:30:16.56\00:30:17.74 Now it's true that the law is talked about in some places 00:30:17.77\00:30:21.07 as a law of condemnation, because people don't understand 00:30:21.10\00:30:23.68 what it's meaning there, they think of the law as bad 00:30:23.71\00:30:25.98 because it's talked of a law of condemnation, 00:30:26.01\00:30:27.92 but friends, listen, it's a law of condemnation 00:30:27.95\00:30:30.95 only for those who have not yet come to Jesus. 00:30:30.98\00:30:34.82 The Bible says that they shall His name Jesus for He shall save 00:30:34.85\00:30:38.42 His people from their sins. So the gospel is the good news 00:30:38.45\00:30:43.18 and sin is the transgression of God's law, 00:30:43.21\00:30:45.39 so the gospel then is the good news of God's plan 00:30:45.42\00:30:49.98 to save us from breaking His holy law, isn't that something? 00:30:50.01\00:30:54.41 So, for the person who has come to Jesus it's not a law 00:30:54.96\00:30:59.68 of condemnation any more, what does Romans 8:1 00:30:59.71\00:31:02.18 have to say? [text on screen] 00:31:02.21\00:31:05.18 So when we come to Jesus we're not condemned any more 00:31:11.57\00:31:14.02 so it's only for the unrepentant that it remains a law 00:31:14.05\00:31:19.31 of condemnation. They've not come to Jesus, 00:31:19.34\00:31:20.99 they've not confessed their sins, they've not repented 00:31:21.02\00:31:23.80 of their sins, and so, it remains a law of condemnation 00:31:23.83\00:31:26.90 to them, but once you've come to Jesus it's not a law 00:31:26.93\00:31:29.48 of condemnation at all. And it says: 00:31:29.51\00:31:32.00 "who walk not after the flesh but the Spirit. " Why? 00:31:32.03\00:31:34.62 Because Holy Spirit filled Christians become doers 00:31:34.65\00:31:37.79 of the law, and not hearers only. 00:31:37.82\00:31:41.06 In many states, if a person has been condemned for 00:31:41.09\00:31:44.48 an awful crime, the governor, or at least the judge, 00:31:44.51\00:31:47.87 someone of great importance who has that kind of power 00:31:47.90\00:31:51.66 can give pardons to those people, 00:31:51.69\00:31:55.59 some governors can give out right pardons. 00:31:55.62\00:31:58.92 But let's just say that the only way a governor could give 00:31:58.95\00:32:03.42 that pardon, or a judge could give that pardon, 00:32:03.45\00:32:06.86 is if the governor or the judge had to take 00:32:06.89\00:32:08.69 that person's place in jail, maybe even on death row. 00:32:08.72\00:32:12.29 The person's there on death row, and the judge could pardon, 00:32:12.32\00:32:15.66 but in order to do so, he had to take the person's place. 00:32:15.69\00:32:18.36 How many pardons do you think we'd be getting? 00:32:18.39\00:32:20.80 I don't think very many. But let's just say for the sake 00:32:20.83\00:32:25.21 of the example the man is on death row, the governor wants 00:32:25.24\00:32:29.05 to pardon him, so the governor says: "I'm a Christian," 00:32:29.08\00:32:31.75 "I know that I have my life secure in Jesus" 00:32:31.78\00:32:34.59 "and this man needs to have a little more time" 00:32:34.62\00:32:36.33 "to think that through, so I'm actually going to give him" 00:32:36.36\00:32:38.60 "a pardon, I'm going to take his place". 00:32:38.63\00:32:40.23 So the governor goes and takes the man's place, 00:32:40.26\00:32:42.26 the man springs free, and now he goes out in the street 00:32:42.29\00:32:44.96 and says: "I'm so glad that governor took my place," 00:32:44.99\00:32:47.12 "I'm so glad he gave me the pardon, and now I'm free" 00:32:47.15\00:32:49.40 "to go and kill all the people I want to. " 00:32:49.43\00:32:52.81 Does it make any sense? Does it sound very appreciative? 00:32:52.84\00:32:56.41 No, why? If the governor saw that, 00:32:56.44\00:32:59.34 he'd rethink what he did, wouldn't he? 00:32:59.37\00:33:02.09 You see, man's law is not as bindings as God's law is. 00:33:02.12\00:33:08.97 Man has the power to do that if he should so please, 00:33:09.00\00:33:11.71 but God can't do that. In God's universe, the price 00:33:11.74\00:33:15.43 for sin had to be paid. God couldn't just do away 00:33:15.46\00:33:19.17 with law, God couldn't just say: "I'm going to ignore" 00:33:19.20\00:33:21.44 "Adam's transgression, Eve's transgression", 00:33:21.47\00:33:24.06 our transgression, He said the price HAD to be paid. 00:33:24.09\00:33:28.25 The very fact, dear Bible students, that Jesus came down 00:33:28.28\00:33:32.20 to this world and died as He did, proves beyond any shadow 00:33:32.23\00:33:36.02 of a doubt that God's law could not be done away with. 00:33:36.05\00:33:42.40 Now, how do you think God feels when Christians, 00:33:42.43\00:33:46.22 people who know better, people who say they read the Bible, 00:33:46.25\00:33:51.36 people who say they love Jesus say this: 00:33:51.39\00:33:55.98 "I'm so glad I have grace, I'm so glad God sent Jesus" 00:33:56.01\00:33:59.20 "into the world to die for my sins, and now that Jesus" 00:33:59.23\00:34:01.41 "has died for my sins, I can break all the commandments" 00:34:01.44\00:34:03.93 "I want to, because I have grace. " 00:34:03.96\00:34:06.74 Does it sound appreciative? Does it make any sense? 00:34:06.77\00:34:10.63 No, that's when what they think is grace 00:34:10.66\00:34:14.95 is really disgrace in God's sight, and that's where 00:34:14.98\00:34:18.56 we get the title for tonight's message: "When Grace" 00:34:18.59\00:34:20.55 "Becomes and Disgrace. " They think they have grace, 00:34:20.58\00:34:24.48 but they go on sinning purposefully, and God looks down 00:34:24.51\00:34:27.51 from heaven, He says: "What you have is not grace," 00:34:27.54\00:34:30.49 "what it is in My eyes is a disgrace" 00:34:30.52\00:34:33.83 because if there's anybody that should be especially 00:34:33.86\00:34:36.10 careful about God's law, it's a Christian who knows 00:34:36.13\00:34:41.27 the price that was paid. 00:34:41.30\00:34:46.00 I tell you, the Bible says in Ephesians 2:8,9, 00:34:47.09\00:34:51.32 a very famous passage, we know it well, 00:34:51.35\00:34:53.27 [text on screen] 00:34:53.30\00:34:55.27 We know that we are saved by grace. 00:34:59.77\00:35:03.48 Look with me, if you would, at Romans 6. 00:35:03.51\00:35:07.56 If you forget everything else that I have said tonight, 00:35:07.59\00:35:10.92 just remember this 1 thing before you go home: 00:35:10.95\00:35:13.86 the only way that we can really please God is to believe 00:35:13.89\00:35:18.77 in the gospel. Believe that God sent His Son, 00:35:18.80\00:35:21.33 Jesus Christ, into the world to die in your place, 00:35:21.36\00:35:23.95 and when your heart is so full of love, understanding 00:35:23.98\00:35:27.63 the price that was paid for God to do that, 00:35:27.66\00:35:30.54 then you're going to want to love God back 00:35:30.57\00:35:32.79 and be obedient unto Him, just remember that if nothing else. 00:35:32.82\00:35:37.52 You're going to want to love Jesus enough 00:35:37.55\00:35:38.81 to keep His commandments. Romans 6:1,2, it says: 00:35:38.84\00:35:42.92 [text on screen] 00:35:42.95\00:35:45.44 In other words, now that we have grace can we go on sinning 00:35:46.84\00:35:49.60 as we please and breaking God's law? 00:35:49.63\00:35:51.59 The next verse says: [text on screen] 00:35:51.62\00:35:53.86 Do you know that grace always leads to obedience? 00:35:59.58\00:36:02.44 Grace never leads to disobedience. 00:36:02.47\00:36:04.75 Let's look at another one, turn with me to Romans 3. 00:36:04.78\00:36:09.55 3 chapters earlier, not very far away. 00:36:10.81\00:36:14.47 Romans 3:31, the Bible says, listen carefully folks: 00:36:14.50\00:36:19.33 [text on screen] 00:36:19.36\00:36:21.46 Can we all say amen tonight? 00:36:28.69\00:36:30.58 He says: "do we then do away with the law because we have" 00:36:30.61\00:36:32.93 "grace and faith?" Of course not. 00:36:32.96\00:36:35.16 If anything, that shows us that the law is clearly established. 00:36:35.19\00:36:39.16 Do you know the Bible says it over and over it again. 00:36:39.19\00:36:41.95 [text on screen] 00:36:41.98\00:36:44.12 Folks, if we are on any other side of this issue, 00:36:50.84\00:36:53.09 we're on the wrong side. 00:36:53.12\00:36:55.16 Now, Jesus talked about this idea of fulfilling the law, 00:36:55.19\00:36:59.26 people will say: "Oh, but Jesus fulfilled the law," 00:36:59.29\00:37:03.93 "therefore we don't have to be obedient to God. " 00:37:03.96\00:37:08.49 Well, where do they get that from, remember? 00:37:08.52\00:37:10.06 Matthew 5:17, 18, Jesus said: [text on screen] 00:37:10.09\00:37:13.58 So people will say that means that the law's done away with. 00:37:16.27\00:37:20.53 I'm going to challenge that tonight, 00:37:20.56\00:37:22.60 and I'm going to appeal to your common sense. 00:37:22.63\00:37:24.48 If you were my employer and I was your employee 00:37:24.51\00:37:27.88 and you said: "Brian, I've got a task for you:" 00:37:27.91\00:37:30.33 "I'm going to go to lunch, when I come back" 00:37:30.36\00:37:32.35 "I want that task fulfilled, do you understand me?" 00:37:32.38\00:37:34.85 I said: "Yes, I understand. " You go to lunch, you come back 00:37:34.88\00:37:37.84 an hour later, you say: "did you fulfill that task?" 00:37:37.87\00:37:40.02 I said: "Yeah, I did away with it. " 00:37:40.05\00:37:42.11 [Audience laughs] 00:37:42.14\00:37:43.90 How long would you want me as your employee? 00:37:43.93\00:37:47.10 You'd start wondering if I had anything upstairs, right? 00:37:47.13\00:37:49.77 "To fulfill" means "to fill to the full", doesn't it? 00:37:49.80\00:37:54.19 It means to carry it out in obedience. 00:37:54.22\00:37:55.84 If you fulfill a task, it means you carry it out 00:37:55.87\00:37:57.93 to its conclusion, to its fulfilling. 00:37:57.96\00:38:00.76 We look at Matthew 3:15, Jesus said to John the Baptist: 00:38:00.79\00:38:05.00 [text on screen] 00:38:05.03\00:38:08.26 When all righteousness was fulfilled at Jesus' baptism, 00:38:11.86\00:38:15.43 was it done away with? No, of course not. 00:38:15.46\00:38:18.05 It means to carry it out. In the book of Colossians 1:25 00:38:18.08\00:38:22.51 Paul says: [text on screen] 00:38:22.54\00:38:25.13 When Paul became a minister, was the word of God fulfilled, 00:38:31.03\00:38:33.27 and therefore done away with? No, of course not, 00:38:33.30\00:38:35.64 it means "to carry out the word of God. " 00:38:35.67\00:38:37.46 "Fulfill" means to carry out in obedience. 00:38:37.49\00:38:39.69 Where did anybody get this idea that fulfilling the law 00:38:39.72\00:38:43.35 means doing away with the law? Well, I'll tell you 00:38:43.38\00:38:45.08 where they got it from, they got it from the great lawbreaker 00:38:45.11\00:38:48.31 himself, the Devil, who first started disobedience 00:38:48.34\00:38:51.53 up in heaven and wants to spread it all around here. 00:38:51.56\00:38:53.56 Do you know the Bible says that Jesus fulfilled the law 00:38:53.59\00:38:57.51 so He could then give us power to fulfill the law? 00:38:57.54\00:39:00.26 It says that, let's go look, Romans 8:3,4 is where we're 00:39:00.29\00:39:03.35 going to go. Romans 8:3 [text on screen] 00:39:03.38\00:39:08.05 Let me pause there. Do you know how many people 00:39:19.72\00:39:22.73 read it this way, they say: "In the likeness of sinful" 00:39:22.76\00:39:25.73 "flesh and for sin, condemned the law in the flesh. " 00:39:25.76\00:39:29.65 Doesn't say He condemned the law, it says He condemned 00:39:29.68\00:39:31.71 sin, which is the breaking of the law. 00:39:31.74\00:39:33.81 Now let's go on: [text on screen] 00:39:33.84\00:39:37.17 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in who? 00:39:44.63\00:39:47.73 Us! 00:39:47.76\00:39:49.84 In other words, Holy Spirit filled, converted people, 00:39:50.32\00:39:57.39 keep the law of God, it's what it's telling us here. 00:39:57.42\00:40:01.07 When it says that the righteousness of law, 00:40:02.12\00:40:05.16 it literally means "the just requirements of the law" 00:40:05.19\00:40:08.17 might be fulfilled in you as you walk according to the Spirit, 00:40:08.20\00:40:11.88 and not according to the carnal mind or the flesh. 00:40:11.91\00:40:14.18 Some people will say: "But it's impossible to keep" 00:40:14.21\00:40:17.45 "God's law!" They'll say that, 00:40:17.48\00:40:20.89 but just because they say it, does that mean it's true? 00:40:20.92\00:40:24.90 I'm going to ask you a question: Jesus said in John 14:15: 00:40:24.93\00:40:29.33 [text on screen] 00:40:29.36\00:40:31.65 I've got a question for you: would God ask an impossibility 00:40:31.68\00:40:35.08 of His children? Would you be a loving parent 00:40:35.11\00:40:38.72 if you demanded something of your children that you knew 00:40:38.75\00:40:41.39 they could not do. No, of course not. 00:40:41.42\00:40:44.10 Would God then, being more of a loving parent, 00:40:44.13\00:40:46.16 demand something of us that we could not do? 00:40:46.19\00:40:48.56 Of course not, in fact, He's given us an abundance 00:40:48.59\00:40:51.96 of promises to tell us can do it, Philippians 4:13 says: 00:40:51.99\00:40:55.63 [text on screen] 00:40:55.66\00:40:57.75 So where's the secret? To do it through Christ. 00:41:00.65\00:41:03.38 Can I keep the law? No, I can't keep it. 00:41:03.41\00:41:05.48 Can Christ keep the law? Yes, if He lives through me. 00:41:05.51\00:41:10.23 Galatians 2:20, "It's all about not I, but Christ" 00:41:12.19\00:41:15.79 "who lives in me", so He's really the one 00:41:15.82\00:41:18.53 who carries it out. 00:41:18.56\00:41:20.72 It's just so beautiful. 00:41:20.75\00:41:23.16 Some people will say that the law of God is a burden. 00:41:23.19\00:41:29.83 Well, again, just saying it doesn't make it so. 00:41:29.86\00:41:32.06 They'll say it's legalistic, meaning you're trying 00:41:32.09\00:41:33.54 to work your way to heaven. 00:41:33.57\00:41:35.23 It's some kind of bondage that you're going to be in 00:41:35.26\00:41:36.97 because now you have to be obedient. 00:41:37.00\00:41:38.70 Friends, when you're in love, to be asked to do something 00:41:38.73\00:41:41.53 by the one that you're in love with, it's not a burden. 00:41:41.56\00:41:44.11 1 John 5:3 says "this is the love of God, that we keep" 00:41:44.14\00:41:47.27 "His commandments", so it's not burdensome at all, 00:41:47.30\00:41:49.80 it's just a loving thing. Remember this verse 00:41:49.83\00:41:51.78 we looked at the other night in Exodus 20:2 00:41:51.81\00:41:54.25 where the Lord says, He starts the 10 commandments 00:41:54.28\00:41:56.09 with this introduction, He says: [text on screen] 00:41:56.12\00:41:58.70 So God says: "I'm leading you out of bondage", 00:42:03.03\00:42:05.45 and then He gives them the 10 commandments. 00:42:05.48\00:42:07.23 Would God ever lead out of bondage to put them back 00:42:07.26\00:42:08.99 into bondage? No, of course not. 00:42:09.02\00:42:11.21 In fact, the Bible calls the law the law of liberty. 00:42:11.24\00:42:16.30 It calls it specifically a law of freedom, 00:42:16.33\00:42:18.53 it's for those that are breaking it purposely 00:42:18.56\00:42:20.32 that it becomes bondage. For the Christian who wants 00:42:20.35\00:42:22.38 to live by them it's a law of freedom. 00:42:22.41\00:42:24.60 How were people in the Old Testament saved? 00:42:24.63\00:42:27.21 Hebrews 4:2: [text on screen] 00:42:27.24\00:42:29.98 So notice that word "them" over and over, 00:42:38.75\00:42:40.75 I've got it highlighted in yellow: "them". 00:42:40.78\00:42:44.62 Who are the "them" that it's speaking of here? 00:42:44.90\00:42:47.57 Well, let's go to Hebrews 3:16, it says: [text on screen] 00:42:47.60\00:42:50.89 Now listen carefully, it's talking about 00:42:57.78\00:42:58.99 the ancient Israelites here, and it says the gospel 00:42:59.02\00:43:01.47 was preached to them. They had the gospel dear folks. 00:43:01.50\00:43:05.92 How did they have the gospel? They had the gospel 00:43:05.95\00:43:08.23 through the sanctuary system. Here in the sanctuary system 00:43:08.26\00:43:11.19 it was a visual aid, all about the plan of salvation. 00:43:11.22\00:43:14.16 They had it folks, but it says it didn't profit them, why? 00:43:14.19\00:43:17.80 Because they did not mix what they understood 00:43:17.83\00:43:20.46 with faith. They did all these things 00:43:20.49\00:43:22.87 so finally it came to the point where it didn't have any meaning 00:43:22.90\00:43:25.13 to them any more, they lost sight of the one 00:43:25.16\00:43:27.42 who it all pointed towards. 00:43:27.45\00:43:29.64 There are many people today, and they're earnest, 00:43:29.67\00:43:32.63 who believe that there are 2 classes of people in heaven. 00:43:32.66\00:43:35.76 They're going to say that there's the one class 00:43:35.79\00:43:37.19 that was saved by law, and there's another class 00:43:37.22\00:43:39.21 that was saved by grace. They'll say that the people 00:43:39.24\00:43:41.43 before Jesus' day were saved by law, 00:43:41.46\00:43:43.51 those after Jesus' day were saved by grace. 00:43:43.54\00:43:45.39 Well, in Romans 4:3, speaking of Abraham, who lived 00:43:45.42\00:43:48.62 a long time in the Old Testament, it said: 00:43:48.65\00:43:50.70 "Abraham believed God", which means He had faith in God, 00:43:50.73\00:43:53.63 [text on screen] 00:43:53.66\00:43:55.72 That's righteousness by faith. He was saved because he believed 00:43:56.16\00:44:00.60 in the Messiah to come. What's the difference then? 00:44:00.63\00:44:03.51 Well, those who lived that long ago, they looked forward 00:44:03.54\00:44:06.91 to the cross by faith; we who live now, after the cross, 00:44:06.94\00:44:10.28 we look back at the cross by faith, but both sides 00:44:10.31\00:44:13.10 look to the cross. 00:44:13.13\00:44:15.58 Can you imagine being up in heaven, and again, 00:44:15.61\00:44:18.68 there's lots of people up in heaven, I'm looking forward 00:44:18.71\00:44:20.44 to seeing, I want to see Daniel, I want to talk to Job, 00:44:20.47\00:44:24.50 I want to talk to lots of people up there, don't you? 00:44:24.53\00:44:27.37 I want to talk to all of you up there, 00:44:27.40\00:44:29.42 but nevertheless, I want to meet Abraham. 00:44:29.45\00:44:33.47 So there I am, coming down the golden streets, 00:44:33.50\00:44:35.69 and I look, oh, Abraham's coming towards me, 00:44:35.72\00:44:37.59 I'm getting kind of nervous now because I don't really 00:44:37.62\00:44:39.29 know what to say, but here comes Abraham. 00:44:39.32\00:44:41.76 So I get up my courage and I go up to him and I say: 00:44:41.79\00:44:44.34 "Well, hello there Mr. Abraham, hello Abraham. " 00:44:44.37\00:44:50.00 He says: "Well hi, who are you?" 00:44:50.03\00:44:52.39 I say "My name is Brian McMahon. " 00:44:52.43\00:44:53.92 He says: "I'm pleased to meet you. " 00:44:53.96\00:44:55.42 So we get talking and eventually he says: "by the way," 00:44:55.45\00:44:57.68 "when did you live on the earth?" 00:44:57.71\00:44:59.42 I say: "Oh, I live in those exciting times right down" 00:44:59.45\00:45:02.95 "at the very end, and up to the time of the actual coming" 00:45:02.98\00:45:05.67 "of Jesus. I was right there, we lived in those final days. " 00:45:05.70\00:45:09.38 All of a sudden Abraham gets the smile off his face 00:45:09.41\00:45:11.74 and he gets this look of arrogancy and he says: 00:45:11.77\00:45:16.14 "Oh, I know who you are, you're one of those grace saved" 00:45:16.17\00:45:19.92 "Christians. You got here the easy way. " 00:45:19.95\00:45:23.13 [Audience laughs] "We worked at it," 00:45:23.16\00:45:26.21 "we got here by our own good works, we earned it. " 00:45:26.24\00:45:30.25 Do you think that's how it's going to be? 00:45:31.72\00:45:33.56 Dear friends, don't think Abraham's going to do that. 00:45:33.59\00:45:37.39 The Bible says that grace is: [text on screen] 00:45:37.42\00:45:40.35 There isn't going to be any boasting up in heaven 00:45:44.00\00:45:46.15 about some people earning it through the keeping 00:45:46.18\00:45:47.93 of commandments. 00:45:47.96\00:45:49.54 1 more for you before we pack it up tonight. 00:45:49.57\00:45:51.85 People will say: "Oh, but I'm a new covenant Christian. " 00:45:51.88\00:45:54.80 Have you ever heard that one? They say: "I'm a new covenant" 00:45:54.83\00:45:56.32 "Christian, and because I'm a new covenant Christian," 00:45:56.35\00:45:59.21 "we don't need commandments under the new covenant. " 00:45:59.24\00:46:01.08 But does the new covenant actually incorporate God's law? 00:46:01.11\00:46:04.04 When they say "I'm a new covenant Christian," 00:46:04.07\00:46:05.53 I'm sure they don't know where it's talked about in the Bible, 00:46:05.56\00:46:07.70 because if they'd read it through, they would see 00:46:07.73\00:46:09.50 that what they're saying couldn't be true, 00:46:09.53\00:46:12.53 let me show it to you, Hebrews 10:16 says this: 00:46:12.56\00:46:16.49 [text on screen] 00:46:16.52\00:46:18.53 So, does it say anything about God's law being done away with? 00:46:26.38\00:46:31.36 No, nothing about God's law being done away with. 00:46:31.39\00:46:33.37 He saying: "I'm going to put it 00:46:33.40\00:46:35.33 in your heart and in your mind. " 00:46:35.37\00:46:36.34 Under the new covenant it's not established upon better law, 00:46:36.35\00:46:41.90 as if the old law was bad, it says Hebrews that it was 00:46:41.93\00:46:45.27 established upon better promises. 00:46:45.30\00:46:48.06 Why better promises? Because now God is promising 00:46:48.10\00:46:50.62 that I will put that law into your mind in such a way 00:46:50.65\00:46:54.56 that what I ask you to do, you will love to do. 00:46:54.59\00:46:57.23 Isn't that what the Christian life is all about? 00:46:57.26\00:46:59.93 To finish tonight in such a way that I hope you'll never forget 00:46:59.96\00:47:02.41 the truth on this subject, I'm going to give you 00:47:02.44\00:47:04.36 1 final illustration. Can I give you one more? 00:47:04.39\00:47:06.86 Can we have our 7 young people come right up to the front 00:47:06.89\00:47:08.90 really quickly, come up as fast as you can, 00:47:08.93\00:47:12.47 right up onto the front. Quick, quick! 00:47:13.09\00:47:16.31 Quick steps, there we go, now we're moving. 00:47:16.34\00:47:19.42 Spread yourselves along. 00:47:21.85\00:47:26.15 Let's put 1 in the middle. 00:47:29.27\00:47:31.78 3 on this side, 3 on this side. 00:47:32.46\00:47:34.88 That's it, now you got it. Come a little bit closer. 00:47:34.91\00:47:38.10 Okay, you hold this for me. 00:47:40.10\00:47:44.40 You hold this, that's no reflection on you, by the way. 00:47:44.71\00:47:47.39 Strong arms, okay? 00:48:00.21\00:48:02.73 Come this way so they can see you. 00:48:06.76\00:48:09.49 Put you straight on. Stand nice and straight for me. 00:48:09.52\00:48:14.43 There we go. 00:48:18.23\00:48:20.79 Don't they look nice up there? 00:48:24.96\00:48:27.05 Okay, so here's what we're going to do. 00:48:27.08\00:48:29.43 I'm going to point to these, and when I point to them 00:48:29.46\00:48:32.74 I want you to say it right out loud. 00:48:32.77\00:48:34.81 Watch which one I point to, when I point to it 00:48:34.84\00:48:37.43 I want to hear you all. 00:48:37.46\00:48:38.70 This is the: [Audience] Law. 00:48:38.73\00:48:41.13 [Audience] Sin Grace. 00:48:41.16\00:48:43.60 [Audience] Christ. Gospel. 00:48:43.63\00:48:45.39 [Audience] Preacher. Church. 00:48:45.42\00:48:47.17 Okay, I want it twice as loud and 3 times as fast. 00:48:47.20\00:48:53.47 I've got to know that you're with me in this, 00:48:53.50\00:48:55.66 or it doesn't work. This is the: 00:48:55.69\00:48:57.38 [Audience] Law. Sin. Grace. Christ. Gospel. 00:48:57.41\00:49:00.48 - Preacher. Church. - Okay, now we're up to speed. 00:49:00.51\00:49:04.10 Hold still, straight out. 00:49:04.13\00:49:07.16 Alright, here we go, you watch which one I point to, 00:49:08.14\00:49:11.86 and when I point to it, you say it right out loud. 00:49:11.89\00:49:14.44 I want you to say it so loud that your voices 00:49:14.47\00:49:16.57 are going to go right on in to my microphone. 00:49:16.60\00:49:18.86 I want to hear you, okay? 00:49:18.89\00:49:20.14 The Bible says that "sin" is the transgression of the "law", 00:49:20.17\00:49:24.06 whosoever then hates God's "law" is upholding "sin" 00:49:24.09\00:49:27.60 because "sin" is the breaking of the "law", and if you had 00:49:27.63\00:49:30.95 no "law", you would have no "sin" because "sin" 00:49:30.98\00:49:34.40 is the breaking of the "law", and all of us need "grace" 00:49:34.43\00:49:37.53 because all of us have "sin"... [Someone says Christ] 00:49:37.56\00:49:41.42 [Audience laughs] Watch which one I point to. 00:49:41.45\00:49:44.68 "Christ" died that we might have "grace", which is pardon 00:49:44.71\00:49:47.78 for "sin", which is breaking the "law", 00:49:47.81\00:49:50.17 and the "gospel" is the story of "Christ", who died 00:49:50.20\00:49:53.60 that we might have "grace", which is pardon for "sin", 00:49:53.63\00:49:56.26 which is breaking the "law". It's kind of tricky 00:49:56.29\00:49:58.55 with the curb here, you know. [Audience laughs] 00:49:58.58\00:50:01.68 Now, when ministers say the law is all done away with, 00:50:02.37\00:50:06.14 the 10 commandments are not binding, it's all nailed 00:50:06.17\00:50:09.57 to the cross and so on... They really aren't 00:50:09.60\00:50:11.67 thinking it through friends, because if they thought 00:50:11.70\00:50:13.80 it through to the conclusion, they would realize 00:50:13.83\00:50:15.40 it makes no sense, and here's why: 00:50:15.43\00:50:17.90 because if you do away with the "law" you do away with "sin" 00:50:17.93\00:50:20.87 because "sin" is the breaking of the "law", if you had no "law" 00:50:20.90\00:50:24.66 you would have no "sin", and you wouldn't need "grace", 00:50:24.69\00:50:26.86 which is pardon for "sin", which is breaking the "law", 00:50:26.89\00:50:29.35 and if you have no "grace" then you wouldn't need "Christ", 00:50:29.38\00:50:31.59 and He would have come down and died for nothing. 00:50:31.62\00:50:33.32 And if you don't need "Christ" then you sure wouldn't have 00:50:33.35\00:50:35.45 a "gospel", because this is the story of "Christ", 00:50:35.48\00:50:37.79 who died that we might have "grace" which is pardon 00:50:37.82\00:50:39.82 for "sin", which is breaking the "law". 00:50:39.85\00:50:41.84 And if you don't need "Christ", and you don't have the "gospel", 00:50:41.87\00:50:44.60 you wouldn't need a "preacher", because he preaches 00:50:44.63\00:50:46.37 the "gospel", which is the story of "Christ", who died that we 00:50:46.40\00:50:49.37 might have "grace", which is pardon for "sin", 00:50:49.40\00:50:51.58 which is breaking the "law", so if you have no "law", 00:50:51.61\00:50:54.23 and you have no "sin", you wouldn't need "grace", 00:50:54.26\00:50:56.64 then you wouldn't need "Christ", and you wouldn't 00:50:56.67\00:50:58.48 have a "gospel", and you wouldn't need a "preacher", 00:50:58.51\00:51:00.51 so you might as well get rid of the "church", 00:51:00.54\00:51:02.39 and that's the truth! Amen? [Audience] Amen! 00:51:02.42\00:51:04.69 Didn't they do good? [Audience claps] 00:51:04.72\00:51:07.02 That's a little challenging with the curb here, 00:51:07.05\00:51:09.73 but thank you so very much. 00:51:09.76\00:51:12.33 You did good my friend, your moment of fame is over. 00:51:13.50\00:51:18.23 [Audience laughs] 00:51:18.26\00:51:20.36 Thank you so much. 00:51:21.14\00:51:23.90 You know dear friends, I want to share this as we close 00:51:29.44\00:51:31.55 tonight, that we're going to have a night on the anti-Christ 00:51:31.58\00:51:36.05 on a night to come, but this much I'm going to share 00:51:38.45\00:51:42.19 with you tonight, and that is that both, 00:51:42.22\00:51:45.27 in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament, 00:51:45.30\00:51:50.76 the anti-Christ power is referred to as the "lawless one" 00:51:50.79\00:51:56.10 Just that alone would make me think, just that alone 00:51:58.43\00:52:01.71 would make my attention and wake me up, 00:52:01.74\00:52:03.60 that maybe I should take another look at this issue of the law 00:52:03.63\00:52:05.82 if I would ever want to put myself against it. 00:52:05.85\00:52:09.25 The story is told, 00:52:09.99\00:52:12.33 back in the days of slavery, 00:52:14.96\00:52:17.49 of a man who was captured in his home land and hauled away, 00:52:18.69\00:52:23.89 and being auctioned off on the trading block 00:52:24.98\00:52:28.18 as nothing more than property, as many thousands were, 00:52:28.21\00:52:32.77 but this particular man was different because he had been 00:52:32.80\00:52:36.42 a prince in his home land. 00:52:36.45\00:52:38.92 And he was a very very muscular and tall individual, 00:52:38.95\00:52:43.43 and he still had a lot of dignity to him 00:52:43.46\00:52:45.72 because of the fact that he had borne himself as a prince, 00:52:45.75\00:52:49.45 but he had dark skin, and because of that 00:52:49.48\00:52:52.52 he was now being sold off as a slave. 00:52:52.55\00:52:55.35 But as the bidding would go for this man, 00:52:55.38\00:52:57.54 he would call down upon his bidders and he would say: 00:52:57.57\00:53:00.83 "You can chain me, and you can buy me, and you can beat me," 00:53:00.86\00:53:07.04 "but I won't work for you, I will NOT work for you. " 00:53:07.07\00:53:10.37 Well, it didn't make any difference, the bidding 00:53:10.40\00:53:11.74 would go up and up, and all the time that they 00:53:11.77\00:53:13.87 were bidding back and forth, this strong, muscular man 00:53:13.90\00:53:16.41 stood there, and he would hurl down accusations 00:53:16.44\00:53:18.87 against these people, and he would say: 00:53:18.90\00:53:20.74 "you can buy, you can bid for me, but I won't work for you!" 00:53:20.77\00:53:24.31 Finally, as the bidding reached an enormous price 00:53:26.56\00:53:30.94 the auction was over, the man was bought 00:53:30.97\00:53:34.36 and still in chains, he was being led away by his new owner 00:53:34.39\00:53:37.98 to the place of receipt. As he was being led away, 00:53:38.01\00:53:41.22 this man would call after the one that had purchased him 00:53:41.25\00:53:45.40 and saying: "You can buy me, you can beat me," 00:53:45.43\00:53:48.81 "I don't care if you kill me, I will not work for you!" 00:53:48.84\00:53:53.06 This man was different, that bought him, 00:53:53.56\00:53:56.02 He was a Lord from England who detested slavery. 00:53:56.05\00:53:59.29 He took out his purse, he paid the enormous price, 00:53:59.32\00:54:03.73 and in having paid it, he took the receipt and he turned 00:54:03.76\00:54:06.05 right around to the man in chains and he gave it to him, 00:54:06.08\00:54:09.31 and he said: "What I have purchased this day" 00:54:09.34\00:54:12.23 "is your freedom, you can now go. " 00:54:12.26\00:54:15.71 The story is that this man realizing the enormous price 00:54:16.45\00:54:20.33 that was paid just that he can go free, 00:54:20.36\00:54:24.93 now his stoney heart melted and he fell on his knees 00:54:24.96\00:54:32.04 and he said: "Sir, I will serve you for ever. " 00:54:32.07\00:54:36.66 How could it be, how could the chains take place? 00:54:38.28\00:54:43.04 Only 1 way, love in the heart. 00:54:43.07\00:54:47.99 Love in the heart could make the difference. 00:54:48.02\00:54:51.28 Today there are many Christians when it comes 00:54:52.22\00:54:54.13 to the subject of the 10 commandments, 00:54:54.16\00:54:56.38 they will say: "I don't want this, and Lord," 00:54:56.41\00:54:59.42 "I don't want that, and I don't want the other. " 00:54:59.45\00:55:02.55 In other words, what they're really telling God is: 00:55:02.58\00:55:04.25 "I won't work for You. I won't work!" 00:55:04.28\00:55:07.40 "I won't do it. " What is the problem? 00:55:07.43\00:55:10.33 Just 1 problem: not enough love in the heart. 00:55:10.36\00:55:14.75 As the old poem says: "I would not work my soul to save," 00:55:16.54\00:55:20.45 "for this my Lord has done, but I would work like any slave" 00:55:20.48\00:55:24.72 "for the love of God's dear Son. " 00:55:24.75\00:55:28.07 The love of Jesus in the heart compels us 00:55:29.07\00:55:33.16 to want to serve Him. 00:55:33.19\00:55:35.77 The impact of tonight's message may not affect you 00:55:36.76\00:55:42.43 until the next few nights together, but this much 00:55:43.28\00:55:46.54 we can all say: "Lord, I want you, as You've promised" 00:55:46.57\00:55:51.80 "in the new covenant, to write Your 10 commandment law" 00:55:51.83\00:55:55.65 "in my heart and in my mind. Give me Your strength" 00:55:55.68\00:55:59.70 "and grace, give me Your Spirit that what You ask me to do" 00:55:59.73\00:56:03.94 "I will want to do. " Is that your desire tonight? 00:56:03.97\00:56:07.37 Can you raise your hand up? 00:56:07.40\00:56:09.72 God bless you all. 00:56:18.86\00:56:20.72 Let us pray as we close. 00:56:20.75\00:56:23.30 Loving Father, it's such an encouragement tonight 00:56:24.55\00:56:28.73 to be with this group of people, to come out 00:56:28.76\00:56:31.64 on a Monday night, start of a work week, 00:56:31.67\00:56:36.61 I know many people are probably tired already, 00:56:36.64\00:56:39.42 but they came out to a Bible study to learn about Your grace, 00:56:39.45\00:56:44.03 and how Your grace empowers us to want to love You back, 00:56:44.32\00:56:48.89 and be obedient unto You. 00:56:48.92\00:56:51.31 Lord, from this night forward may we make a decision 00:56:51.34\00:56:54.61 in our own hearts that because of what You have done for us, 00:56:54.64\00:57:00.24 sending the most valuable thing in heaven, which was 00:57:00.27\00:57:02.94 Your dear Son, to give up His life for us, 00:57:02.97\00:57:06.34 Lord, we want to love You back. We want to think about 00:57:06.37\00:57:09.17 that sacrifice. We want to meditate on it, 00:57:09.20\00:57:11.00 we want to realize the impact of it so that we'll say: 00:57:11.03\00:57:14.28 "Lord, whatever it is, help me to respond and love You back. " 00:57:14.31\00:57:19.39 "Help me to realize that Your commandments are just" 00:57:19.42\00:57:21.20 "commandments of freedom anyway. " 00:57:21.23\00:57:23.72 Father, tonight as we leave here, may we leave thanking You 00:57:23.86\00:57:27.34 for writing that law in our hearts and minds. 00:57:27.37\00:57:30.93 Bless us now, each one, in Jesus' name, Amen. 00:57:30.96\00:57:36.28
