Well, let's go to the
Bible for some answers.

commandments were upheld

in schools, they were upheld
in churches, they were upheld

in courts, in almost all
levels of society, but it's not

things preached like this,

people will say: "Oh, those 10
commandments, they were nailed"

they're done away with."

Others will say: "Well, we're
saved by grace, so we don't"

"need the 10
commandments anymore."

Others will say:
"Jesus fulfilled the law,"

"therefore we don't have to."
Well friends, what about those

kinds of things, what does
the Bible really have to say?

You see, all
society has to have law.

If we were to walk out
of here, or get in our cars

undoubtedly you're doing to come

lots of them when I drive home

each night, and when you come
to that red light that tells you

that it is the law in the
city of Sacramento to do what?

That you stop. All
government has to have law.

Without law you have
chaos, anarchy, everybody doing

their own thing,
and society crumbles.

God has law as well that there
might be harmony in His universe

Do you know that the Bible
tells us a very wonderful way

about how we got the law of God?

God did not entrust this
part of the Bible for man

to write down, God allowed
man to write down, or pen,

the words of all the rest of
the Scripture, but when it came

commandment law, we received it

Where did we get that from?
We got it right from the Bible.

On the other hand, the
Devil, since he first became

a law breaker in
heaven, has tried to get people

to neglect it, or
reject it, or somehow do away

the very law breaker himself

here. Once again, you're hearing

churches today about the law,

no longer relevant to us.

Well, there was a book written
in the 1990's and it was called:

books went around the country

and they tried to get people

When it came to the discussion

that's what they're
doing with the 10 commandments.

I'll take that commandment,"

that one suits me, so okay,"

"I'll have that one, but I
don't want that one over there."

In other words, they're
making up their own law based on

rather than what God says.

result in our society?

look at the crime statistics

Children basically obeyed

their parents, crime was still
there, but it wasn't anywhere

near the kind of
statistics it is now.

Things have changed,
and yet people'll tell you,

they'll say: "But the 10
commandments, wasn't that"

"just for the Jews?
Wasn't it just for Israel?"

"It's really not for
the Christian, is it?"

Well, let's go back in
the Bible and let's find out.

So we want to make sure
that we're doing the will of God

and we find ourselves
on the right side of issues

down at the end of time, because
the issues of the 10 commandment

things that emanate from it

issue that will separate

broke the first one that says:
