I don't understand. 00:00:01.70\00:00:04.37 Why did this have to happen to me? 00:00:04.40\00:00:08.17 I feel like I just can't make sense of things. 00:00:08.20\00:00:12.44 I need answers. 00:00:12.47\00:00:15.81 Where is God? 00:00:15.84\00:00:18.01 In 1781, British General Charles Cornwallis 00:00:21.98\00:00:25.75 formally surrenders 8,000 infantry men 00:00:25.79\00:00:29.02 and seamen to the American forces. 00:00:29.06\00:00:32.59 At this point, it was an incredible day 00:00:32.63\00:00:34.60 for the American Revolution 00:00:34.63\00:00:36.36 but a very sad day for the British. 00:00:36.40\00:00:41.30 When we think about surrender, 00:00:41.34\00:00:43.67 it's not necessarily a good thing 00:00:43.71\00:00:45.94 usually when we think about it. 00:00:45.97\00:00:47.31 It involves pain, bad stuff, right? 00:00:47.34\00:00:50.05 But when it comes to God and the things of heaven, 00:00:50.08\00:00:52.61 surrender is a very good thing, 00:00:52.65\00:00:54.32 and that's what we're going to be talking about today 00:00:54.35\00:00:55.88 with my co-hosts Dee Casper and Michelle Doucoumes. 00:00:55.92\00:00:58.49 My name is Mark Paden. 00:00:58.52\00:00:59.85 And welcome to Raw Questions Relevant Answers, 00:00:59.89\00:01:02.92 where we are endeavoring to give biblical answers 00:01:02.96\00:01:05.76 to difficult raw, real, painful questions 00:01:05.79\00:01:09.16 that young people have. 00:01:09.20\00:01:11.43 And what we want to do today is start off with a question 00:01:11.47\00:01:16.30 from a college student in Tennessee. 00:01:16.34\00:01:20.08 They ask, "How do I surrender to God?" 00:01:20.11\00:01:22.88 Very practical. 00:01:22.91\00:01:24.25 "No matter how much I try, 00:01:24.28\00:01:25.61 I can't seem to give my heart over 00:01:25.65\00:01:27.42 completely to God." 00:01:27.45\00:01:30.82 This is kind of a quote 00:01:30.85\00:01:32.19 that's been very helpful for me on the topic of surrender 00:01:32.22\00:01:34.36 that I think is somewhat relevant to the question. 00:01:34.39\00:01:36.93 It's from a book called Ministry of Healing, 00:01:36.96\00:01:38.73 it says, "Many who profess to be Christ's 00:01:38.76\00:01:40.53 followers have an anxious troubled heart 00:01:40.56\00:01:42.30 because they're afraid to trust themselves with God. 00:01:42.33\00:01:45.40 They do not make a complete surrender to Him, 00:01:45.43\00:01:47.44 for they shrink from the consequence 00:01:47.47\00:01:49.64 that such a surrender may involve..." 00:01:49.67\00:01:51.54 Sometimes we're afraid 00:01:51.57\00:01:52.91 of what God is going to ask us to give up, 00:01:52.94\00:01:54.31 so we don't surrender. 00:01:54.34\00:01:55.84 "But unless they do make this surrender, 00:01:55.88\00:01:57.88 they cannot find peace. 00:01:57.91\00:01:59.68 There are many whose hearts are aching under a load of care 00:01:59.71\00:02:01.82 because they seek to reach the world's standard. 00:02:01.85\00:02:04.22 They have chosen its service, accepted its perplexities, 00:02:04.25\00:02:06.86 and adopted its customs. 00:02:06.89\00:02:09.02 And thus their character is marred 00:02:09.06\00:02:10.39 and their life made a weariness." 00:02:10.43\00:02:11.93 It's exhausting. 00:02:11.96\00:02:13.29 "And that continual worry 00:02:13.33\00:02:14.66 is wearing out their life forces. 00:02:14.70\00:02:16.30 Our Lord desires them 00:02:16.33\00:02:17.67 to lay aside this yoke of bondage 00:02:17.70\00:02:19.97 and He invites them to accept His yoke. 00:02:20.00\00:02:22.10 He says, 'My yoke is easy, My burden is light.' 00:02:22.14\00:02:26.01 Worry is blind, it cannot discern the future. 00:02:26.04\00:02:28.04 But Jesus sees the end from the beginning. 00:02:28.08\00:02:30.35 And In every difficulty, He makes His way 00:02:30.38\00:02:33.21 prepared to bring relief. 00:02:33.25\00:02:34.58 And no good thing will He withhold from them 00:02:34.62\00:02:36.28 that walk uprightly." 00:02:36.32\00:02:37.69 Amen. 00:02:37.72\00:02:39.05 Many times, our fear of surrenders 00:02:39.09\00:02:40.42 because we're just sure 00:02:40.46\00:02:41.79 that God is going to takes something off the table 00:02:41.82\00:02:43.16 that we want right now... 00:02:43.19\00:02:44.53 Or it's going to lead to something 00:02:44.56\00:02:45.89 that we don't want, at least, not right now. 00:02:45.93\00:02:48.63 And that kind of would be my introduction to that topic. 00:02:48.66\00:02:52.07 Many times, our fears of what if 00:02:52.10\00:02:55.50 prohibit us from making that initial surrender, 00:02:55.54\00:02:57.84 and it's because we don't know who He is as we could. 00:02:57.87\00:03:01.58 You know, I just want to throw something in here 00:03:01.61\00:03:03.21 because it reminds me of something 00:03:03.24\00:03:05.15 that happened in my life. 00:03:05.18\00:03:06.51 You know, growing up, I spent a lot of time 00:03:06.55\00:03:09.48 watching a lot of things 00:03:09.52\00:03:10.85 that in hindsight weren't that good, 00:03:10.89\00:03:12.82 that really went against biblical principles, right? 00:03:12.85\00:03:16.06 And when God was... 00:03:16.09\00:03:18.46 When God was working on my heart, 00:03:18.49\00:03:20.30 wooing me to Him, there came a point 00:03:20.33\00:03:22.66 where He just really called my heart and said, 00:03:22.70\00:03:25.60 "Mark, I want you to come to Me." 00:03:25.63\00:03:27.04 And at that point, you know, I wrestled for a minute 00:03:27.07\00:03:29.50 because I knew that to come to Him, 00:03:29.54\00:03:32.14 I would have to give those things up. 00:03:32.17\00:03:34.14 And He really made it clear to me 00:03:34.18\00:03:36.48 and I wrestled for a minute, but you know... 00:03:36.51\00:03:39.28 And praise the Lord I was willing to do that, 00:03:39.31\00:03:41.72 but it's been so incredible to me to see how... 00:03:41.75\00:03:45.89 When I was willing to give that up, 00:03:45.92\00:03:47.99 God really fulfilled the desires of my heart. 00:03:48.02\00:03:50.83 You know, I gave up those movies, 00:03:50.86\00:03:53.23 but now I'm a filmmaker. 00:03:53.26\00:03:54.60 You know what? 00:03:54.63\00:03:55.96 I spent my life working with cameras 00:03:56.00\00:03:57.90 and, I mean, flying all over the world filming, 00:03:57.93\00:04:00.64 and it's awesome, and it's all for Him. 00:04:00.67\00:04:05.07 And God brought around so many opportunities 00:04:05.11\00:04:08.01 basically immediately after I made that decision. 00:04:08.04\00:04:10.68 So, you know, we sometimes fear to surrender 00:04:10.71\00:04:13.68 because we're afraid of what we might have to lose in it, 00:04:13.72\00:04:16.12 but look at what we have to gain. 00:04:16.15\00:04:19.05 All we're leaving off is things that are really hurting us. 00:04:19.09\00:04:22.36 You know, with this, I do believe 00:04:22.39\00:04:25.53 there's a natural human aversion to that surrender 00:04:25.56\00:04:28.66 unfortunately as sinful beings. 00:04:28.70\00:04:30.83 The Apostle Paul talks about this in Romans 7 00:04:30.87\00:04:33.07 when he says, "O wretched man that I am!" 00:04:33.10\00:04:35.30 And he talks about how the things he wants to do, 00:04:35.34\00:04:37.27 he doesn't thinks he doesn't want to do, he does. 00:04:37.31\00:04:40.28 There's this battle with our humanity and God, 00:04:40.31\00:04:44.38 even Jesus experienced this to an extent. 00:04:44.41\00:04:46.78 We see Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane 00:04:46.82\00:04:48.65 in Matthew 26 having to go three times back to say, 00:04:48.68\00:04:52.75 "God, not my will but Your will be done." 00:04:52.79\00:04:57.03 And so that there is something that can come up inside us, 00:04:57.06\00:04:59.93 it doesn't mean 00:04:59.96\00:05:01.30 that there's something wrong with you 00:05:01.33\00:05:02.66 because you struggle with surrender. 00:05:02.70\00:05:04.97 I remember a time in my life 00:05:05.00\00:05:06.80 where I really struggled with surrender 00:05:06.84\00:05:08.50 and I had something to do with what you said, Dee, 00:05:08.54\00:05:11.37 about knowing who we're surrendering to. 00:05:11.41\00:05:14.74 I realized I knew a lot about God, 00:05:14.78\00:05:17.38 but I didn't know God at a heart level, 00:05:17.41\00:05:20.05 and without that knowledge, it's really scary... 00:05:20.08\00:05:22.88 To surrender to someone that you don't know 00:05:22.92\00:05:25.59 or don't know very good things about. 00:05:25.62\00:05:28.89 There was a time when I remember 00:05:28.92\00:05:30.26 having to say to God, 00:05:30.29\00:05:31.63 "You know, I'm sorry that I'm not sorry." 00:05:31.66\00:05:35.50 And that sounds really crazy, 00:05:35.53\00:05:37.00 but that was when I got really raw with God myself 00:05:37.03\00:05:39.63 and said, "You know, to be honest, 00:05:39.67\00:05:42.07 I don't want to surrender to You. 00:05:42.10\00:05:44.67 But help me." 00:05:44.71\00:05:46.11 And it was crazy what happened. 00:05:46.14\00:05:48.18 That whole journey led me to a very real place with God 00:05:48.21\00:05:51.41 but also a place of starting to search out, 00:05:51.45\00:05:53.72 "Okay, well, I might not be fully ready for this, 00:05:53.75\00:05:57.52 but start showing me who You are. 00:05:57.55\00:05:59.95 Start giving me something with this." 00:05:59.99\00:06:02.16 And I started seeking God for myself 00:06:02.19\00:06:04.39 and to know God, and it's really interesting. 00:06:04.43\00:06:06.76 It's like God took me on a journey 00:06:06.80\00:06:09.23 that led to a surrender. 00:06:09.26\00:06:11.57 As I got to know Him, there did finally come a time 00:06:11.60\00:06:14.47 where I was like, "Okay, I want to give You a chance." 00:06:14.50\00:06:18.01 God takes the little that we can give to Him. 00:06:18.04\00:06:20.08 If your surrender is this much, give that much to God 00:06:20.11\00:06:23.31 and let Him start working in those places in your life. 00:06:23.35\00:06:27.78 You know, there's another verse 00:06:27.82\00:06:29.58 that I'm just trying to find here. 00:06:29.62\00:06:30.99 But it says... 00:06:31.02\00:06:33.66 I believe it's Peter talking to the multitude and he says... 00:06:33.69\00:06:37.96 He speaks about how God has come 00:06:37.99\00:06:40.36 to give repentance to Israel. 00:06:40.40\00:06:42.30 Yes. 00:06:42.33\00:06:43.67 And I think part of the rest of this question 00:06:43.70\00:06:45.63 is they are struggling 00:06:45.67\00:06:47.90 because no matter how hard they try, 00:06:47.94\00:06:50.81 they just can't seem to give their heart over 00:06:50.84\00:06:52.87 completely to God. 00:06:52.91\00:06:54.44 You know, maybe that's the problem. 00:06:54.48\00:06:56.91 You're trying too hard to do what you can't do. 00:06:56.95\00:06:59.28 Yes. 00:06:59.31\00:07:00.68 Our part of it is not to force ourselves 00:07:00.72\00:07:04.82 into becoming Christians. 00:07:04.85\00:07:06.19 Our part of it is to come to God 00:07:06.22\00:07:07.56 recognizing that we can't do it. 00:07:07.59\00:07:09.02 So if we're struggling with that, 00:07:09.06\00:07:10.49 claim that promise, come to Him and say, 00:07:10.53\00:07:12.03 "Lord, I don't have repentance. 00:07:12.06\00:07:14.60 I love my sin." 00:07:14.63\00:07:15.96 Kind of like what you're saying. 00:07:16.00\00:07:17.33 "You know, I don't want to give my life to You, 00:07:17.37\00:07:19.83 but I want to want to. 00:07:19.87\00:07:21.30 So, Lord, give me repentance and show me views of Jesus" 00:07:21.34\00:07:25.94 because it's only as we see those pictures of Christ 00:07:25.97\00:07:30.88 and Him crucified 00:07:30.91\00:07:32.25 that we will truly be willing to give all to Him. 00:07:32.28\00:07:34.38 Like Romans 2:4, right? Exactly. 00:07:34.42\00:07:36.02 "The goodness of God leads you to repentance." 00:07:36.05\00:07:37.39 Exactly. 00:07:37.42\00:07:38.75 And it's the goodness of God and the... 00:07:38.79\00:07:41.49 It's the divine initiative. 00:07:41.52\00:07:43.02 God is the one who takes the first step in pursuing us, 00:07:43.06\00:07:45.63 and we talked about this a few episodes ago 00:07:45.66\00:07:47.03 in Jeremiah 31, 00:07:47.06\00:07:48.40 He says, "I've loved you with an everlasting love. 00:07:48.43\00:07:50.13 Therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you to Me." 00:07:50.17\00:07:52.93 When we encounter the drawing love of Christ, 00:07:52.97\00:07:55.17 that goodness of God towards us, 00:07:55.20\00:07:57.01 when we don't deserve it, when we deserve it the least, 00:07:57.04\00:07:59.67 it causes our walls to come down, 00:07:59.71\00:08:01.24 it brings repentance into our experience. 00:08:01.28\00:08:03.38 And then what awakens in our heart 00:08:03.41\00:08:05.11 is a willingness to finally do it His way... 00:08:05.15\00:08:07.15 Yeah. 00:08:07.18\00:08:08.52 To respond how He wants us to respond. 00:08:08.55\00:08:10.49 And so surrender is the result of an encounter 00:08:10.52\00:08:13.09 with the goodness of God. 00:08:13.12\00:08:14.79 That's what leads to this process, not a... 00:08:14.82\00:08:17.66 And God's not even asking for you 00:08:17.69\00:08:19.03 to create your own surrender, 00:08:19.06\00:08:20.50 He is asking you to receive Christ's spirit of surrender, 00:08:20.53\00:08:23.33 and you can ask for that. 00:08:23.37\00:08:24.80 "My flesh doesn't want to, 00:08:24.83\00:08:26.47 but Jesus did surrender in my flesh. 00:08:26.50\00:08:29.44 Would You give Me His spirit of surrender 00:08:29.47\00:08:31.21 in this area of my life today?" 00:08:31.24\00:08:32.97 And you better believe He wants to. 00:08:33.01\00:08:34.34 Yeah. Amen. 00:08:34.38\00:08:36.38 Let's go ahead and move to the next question. 00:08:36.41\00:08:37.98 This is again from somebody 21 years old in Tennessee. 00:08:38.01\00:08:43.32 Sorry. Yes. 00:08:43.35\00:08:45.52 I got confused there for a second. 00:08:45.55\00:08:46.89 "How do we surrender?" 00:08:46.92\00:08:48.26 We've just been talking about that, 00:08:48.29\00:08:49.62 but then he continues, 00:08:49.66\00:08:50.99 "If victory over sin is possible, 00:08:51.03\00:08:52.73 why doesn't the church teach righteousness by faith 00:08:52.76\00:08:55.16 in a practical sense?" 00:08:55.20\00:08:58.30 It is an issue of concern because if we... 00:08:58.33\00:09:02.07 We believe in the Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:09:02.10\00:09:03.91 in the standards that maybe we feel 00:09:03.94\00:09:06.64 others have lost a zeal for 00:09:06.68\00:09:08.51 or maybe didn't know that God expects. 00:09:08.54\00:09:11.25 And so because of this, we've kind of become 00:09:11.28\00:09:12.91 these champions of reform, if you will, 00:09:12.95\00:09:15.12 on the things that God still expects. 00:09:15.15\00:09:17.35 And sometimes, our zeal for communicating 00:09:17.39\00:09:19.45 what God wants 00:09:19.49\00:09:20.96 comes at the expense of how God enables us to do what He wants. 00:09:20.99\00:09:24.99 And so in turn, our young people 00:09:25.03\00:09:26.49 and our members are wrestling 00:09:26.53\00:09:27.86 because there's this high expectation 00:09:27.90\00:09:29.23 of what God wants, 00:09:29.26\00:09:30.60 but I don't know how to get there. 00:09:30.63\00:09:31.97 Paul talks about this, you know, 00:09:32.00\00:09:33.34 that "I don't know how to get where I want to go." 00:09:33.37\00:09:34.70 I think it's Romans 7:20ish. 00:09:34.74\00:09:36.91 He's like, "I don't understand how to get to the area 00:09:36.94\00:09:39.87 where God's wanting me to go." 00:09:39.91\00:09:41.51 And I believe righteousness by faith provides that answer. 00:09:41.54\00:09:44.58 There's a beautiful definition that I've heard on this idea, 00:09:44.61\00:09:47.48 they say, "What is justification by faith? 00:09:47.52\00:09:49.78 It's the work of God in laying the glory of man in the dust 00:09:49.82\00:09:53.02 and doing for a man that which it is not in his power 00:09:53.05\00:09:55.42 to do for himself. 00:09:55.46\00:09:57.06 And when men see their nothingness, 00:09:57.09\00:09:59.13 they're prepared to be close 00:09:59.16\00:10:00.50 with the righteousness of Christ." 00:10:00.53\00:10:02.56 There's high expectations from God 00:10:02.60\00:10:04.53 and there's zero potential in human flesh without God. 00:10:04.57\00:10:07.17 Yeah. 00:10:07.20\00:10:08.54 And we need to find a marriage between these two things, 00:10:08.57\00:10:10.47 and I believe the answer is the power of the Holy Spirit. 00:10:10.51\00:10:12.54 Yeah. And I... 00:10:12.57\00:10:14.04 To be sadly honest, the person is asking 00:10:14.08\00:10:16.75 why isn't this taught more? 00:10:16.78\00:10:18.88 Sometimes maybe it's not taught 00:10:18.91\00:10:20.35 because we don't teach what we haven't experienced. 00:10:20.38\00:10:23.55 It's hard to teach what we haven't experienced. 00:10:23.59\00:10:25.65 And that is the sad reality is that 00:10:25.69\00:10:28.89 we as a church need revival. 00:10:28.92\00:10:31.23 And if you are a young person who is asking for that, 00:10:31.26\00:10:35.56 then please, seek that and pursue that 00:10:35.60\00:10:39.50 because our church needs people 00:10:39.53\00:10:41.07 who are really looking to God and experiencing God. 00:10:41.10\00:10:45.51 We can't teach what we don't have. 00:10:45.54\00:10:47.51 And I think too that this is a call for us, 00:10:47.54\00:10:50.48 who are starting to understand it 00:10:50.51\00:10:52.21 or who do understand it, to share. 00:10:52.25\00:10:55.62 Yes. 00:10:55.65\00:10:56.99 You know, if God has shown you 00:10:57.02\00:10:59.52 the beauty in the power of the gospel, share it. 00:10:59.55\00:11:03.32 Yes. 00:11:03.36\00:11:04.69 You know, it's a beautiful thing. 00:11:04.73\00:11:06.06 Yeah. 00:11:06.09\00:11:07.43 In Romans 8, Paul says that 00:11:07.46\00:11:08.80 "For what the law could not do..." 00:11:08.83\00:11:10.17 Romans 8:3, meaning, save us. 00:11:10.20\00:11:11.67 "What the law could not do, save us, 00:11:11.70\00:11:13.40 and it was weak through the flesh..." 00:11:13.44\00:11:14.77 'Cause our flesh can't keep the law. 00:11:14.80\00:11:16.47 He says, "God did by sending His own Son 00:11:16.50\00:11:19.54 in the likeness of sinful flesh..." 00:11:19.57\00:11:20.91 Flesh like ours. 00:11:20.94\00:11:22.28 "And on account of sin, He condemned sin in the flesh." 00:11:22.31\00:11:24.25 He overcame sin in the flesh, and here's why in verse 4. 00:11:24.28\00:11:27.18 "That the righteous requirement of the law 00:11:27.22\00:11:28.98 might be fulfilled in us 00:11:29.02\00:11:30.55 who do not walk according to the flesh 00:11:30.59\00:11:32.19 but according to the Spirit." 00:11:32.22\00:11:33.76 So God sent Jesus to do for you what you can't do, 00:11:33.79\00:11:36.59 maybe you've never heard this story before 00:11:36.62\00:11:38.19 or this principle before, that's it, 00:11:38.23\00:11:40.60 and that we can receive that through the power of His Spirit 00:11:40.63\00:11:43.06 to have that obedient life. 00:11:43.10\00:11:44.63 And when you encounter this amazing offer from God, 00:11:44.67\00:11:48.84 if He's willing to do that much for me, 00:11:48.87\00:11:50.91 the least I can do is respond when convicted. 00:11:50.94\00:11:53.64 To surrender when convicted. 00:11:53.68\00:11:55.01 It's a logical response to the gospel, surrender is, 00:11:55.04\00:11:58.15 otherwise it feels like legalism or a hopeless venture. 00:11:58.18\00:12:01.12 But in response to the gospel, surrender makes sense. 00:12:01.15\00:12:04.62 Let's hit one final question 00:12:04.65\00:12:06.39 before we have to end for today. 00:12:06.42\00:12:09.06 This is a question saying, 00:12:09.09\00:12:11.56 "How can I know when I am fully surrendered?" 00:12:11.59\00:12:14.53 And one thing that I want to just mention 00:12:14.56\00:12:16.23 here on this one is we sometimes feel... 00:12:16.26\00:12:19.33 When we feel our need that we do need to surrender, 00:12:19.37\00:12:21.60 it's easy to get in this rut of like, 00:12:21.64\00:12:25.34 "I don't know if I'm surrendered enough. 00:12:25.37\00:12:26.71 I don't know if I'm surrendered enough." 00:12:26.74\00:12:28.08 And we almost get paranoid that we're not surrendered enough. 00:12:28.11\00:12:30.88 On the other side of the spectrum, 00:12:30.91\00:12:33.01 you know, we can get in this rut of feeling like, 00:12:33.05\00:12:35.38 "You know, I'm all right. 00:12:35.42\00:12:36.75 I surrendered once like a couple months ago, 00:12:36.79\00:12:40.19 I'm good now, you know?" 00:12:40.22\00:12:41.69 But honestly, surrender is a daily experience. 00:12:41.72\00:12:44.49 But here's a couple metrics 00:12:44.53\00:12:45.86 that I would like to propose in this. 00:12:45.89\00:12:48.46 First of all, is there anything 00:12:48.50\00:12:51.20 that you are currently doing 00:12:51.23\00:12:52.57 that you know you shouldn't be doing? 00:12:52.60\00:12:54.84 If you are, there's a good chance 00:12:54.87\00:12:57.07 you're not surrendered, right? 00:12:57.11\00:12:58.67 If you are doing something 00:12:58.71\00:13:00.04 that you know goes against God's word, 00:13:00.08\00:13:02.54 you probably haven't surrendered it all. 00:13:02.58\00:13:05.11 That doesn't mean you haven't ever, 00:13:05.15\00:13:06.51 it just means that 00:13:06.55\00:13:07.88 now is your chance to go back to God 00:13:07.92\00:13:09.42 and really lay it all at the foot of the cross. 00:13:09.45\00:13:11.49 And then the other metric, too, that I would propose is 00:13:11.52\00:13:14.82 are you daily communing with God 00:13:14.86\00:13:17.79 and asking Him to search your heart? 00:13:17.83\00:13:19.86 Are you, on a daily basis, looking to see... 00:13:19.89\00:13:23.87 I know it's sometimes painful to look into our own hearts 00:13:23.90\00:13:26.23 and see all the mess that's inside, 00:13:26.27\00:13:27.70 but it's a very vital part of our Christian experience 00:13:27.74\00:13:31.71 to look at that and to really see 00:13:31.74\00:13:35.81 where we are at with God. 00:13:35.84\00:13:38.61 Do you have anything you want to add really quickly? 00:13:38.65\00:13:40.55 We only have a few seconds left. 00:13:40.58\00:13:41.92 In Romans 8:5, 00:13:41.95\00:13:43.28 "For those who live according to the flesh, 00:13:43.32\00:13:44.65 set their minds on the things of the flesh, 00:13:44.69\00:13:46.02 those who live according to the Spirit, 00:13:46.05\00:13:47.39 the things of the Spirit." 00:13:47.42\00:13:48.76 Look to Jesus. 00:13:48.79\00:13:50.13 Look to the Spirit of Christ, He'll show us. 00:13:50.16\00:13:51.49 Yeah. 00:13:51.53\00:13:52.86 Being surrender doesn't mean we won't struggle. 00:13:52.89\00:13:54.23 Yeah. 00:13:54.26\00:13:55.60 There is still a struggle going on, 00:13:55.63\00:13:56.97 but that struggle means that there is life. 00:13:57.00\00:13:58.33 Absolutely. Because we are seeking Christ. 00:13:58.37\00:14:00.67 So if you're struggling, 00:14:00.70\00:14:02.04 keep struggling and really seek God. 00:14:02.07\00:14:04.77 If you have any other questions, 00:14:04.81\00:14:06.14 feel free to submit them to us on Facebook RQRA3ABN. 00:14:06.17\00:14:10.85 God bless. 00:14:10.88\00:14:12.21
