I don't understand. 00:00:01.76\00:00:04.47 Why did this have to happen to me? 00:00:04.50\00:00:08.04 I feel like I just can't make sense of things. 00:00:08.07\00:00:12.41 I need answers. 00:00:12.44\00:00:15.91 Where is God? 00:00:15.94\00:00:17.45 You know, it's a really cool truth 00:00:21.38\00:00:24.15 that throughout history, throughout biblical history, 00:00:24.19\00:00:27.99 God has had specific people 00:00:28.02\00:00:30.33 that he's given a specific message 00:00:30.36\00:00:32.33 for a specific time. 00:00:32.36\00:00:34.30 Welcome to Raw Questions Relevant Answers. 00:00:34.33\00:00:36.93 This is a program in which myself 00:00:36.97\00:00:39.53 and my two friends here, 00:00:39.57\00:00:41.94 Michelle Doucoumes and Dee Casper, 00:00:41.97\00:00:43.77 are endeavoring to give some relevant questions 00:00:43.81\00:00:46.81 to some very raw... 00:00:46.84\00:00:48.18 Relevant answers rather to some very raw questions 00:00:48.21\00:00:50.55 that we have. 00:00:50.58\00:00:51.91 And today, what we're going to be talking about 00:00:51.95\00:00:53.58 is the question of Adventism 00:00:53.62\00:00:56.15 and its place in history, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. 00:00:56.18\00:01:01.02 So basically, we believe that God has given 00:01:01.06\00:01:05.76 a special message to our church for a specific time, 00:01:05.79\00:01:09.06 and that's what we're going to deal with today. 00:01:09.10\00:01:11.13 And our first question comes from a young man 00:01:11.17\00:01:13.77 aged 21 in Tennessee, 00:01:13.80\00:01:15.84 and his question is, "Why does Adventism matter?" 00:01:15.87\00:01:20.01 I think that why Adventism matters 00:01:20.04\00:01:22.81 is that as you've mentioned, 00:01:22.84\00:01:24.18 God has had an intention of communicating a message 00:01:24.21\00:01:27.52 and a truth to the world, who He truly is, 00:01:27.55\00:01:30.65 what His ideal is for a man, and what God intends 00:01:30.69\00:01:34.36 His people to know and to share to ensure 00:01:34.39\00:01:36.62 that Christ can come again. 00:01:36.66\00:01:38.23 And from His early church until what we see now, 00:01:38.26\00:01:41.50 this is what we believe that God is intending 00:01:41.53\00:01:43.20 in this particular movement, 00:01:43.23\00:01:44.57 that there is a message given... 00:01:44.60\00:01:46.97 First of all, let's say that the movement 00:01:47.00\00:01:48.34 has prophetic origins, 00:01:48.37\00:01:50.87 that God, throughout the Bible, 00:01:50.91\00:01:53.38 I believe, has this implication 00:01:53.41\00:01:54.91 that there is this movement coming. 00:01:54.94\00:01:56.51 So we see it in Daniel 8:14 00:01:56.54\00:01:58.95 that there's a message of a judgment, 00:01:58.98\00:02:01.68 an investigative judgment that's to be given to the world 00:02:01.72\00:02:04.35 and a soon coming Savior that's going to be shared about 00:02:04.39\00:02:07.56 in Daniel as well. 00:02:07.59\00:02:08.92 We see this in Revelation 10 00:02:08.96\00:02:10.96 and we also see it in Revelation 12, 00:02:10.99\00:02:13.33 and the message that this movement 00:02:13.36\00:02:14.70 is giving in Revelation 14, 00:02:14.73\00:02:16.20 what we call the three angels' messages, 00:02:16.23\00:02:18.47 preparing the world for a soon coming Savior 00:02:18.50\00:02:20.44 by preaching the everlasting gospel, 00:02:20.47\00:02:22.44 the beauty of the character of God 00:02:22.47\00:02:24.27 that we're living in the context 00:02:24.31\00:02:25.64 of a current tense judgment 00:02:25.67\00:02:27.38 that perceives the second advent. 00:02:27.41\00:02:29.94 There is a system 00:02:29.98\00:02:31.31 that's causing great harm on earth 00:02:31.35\00:02:32.68 regarding the truths that they're sharing, 00:02:32.71\00:02:34.68 there are misrepresentations of who God actually is 00:02:34.72\00:02:36.99 and what's to come. 00:02:37.02\00:02:38.35 And lastly, there's a way that God wants to be worshiped 00:02:38.39\00:02:40.99 and He wants His people to be ready, 00:02:41.02\00:02:42.39 so God kind of has a blueprint here, 00:02:42.42\00:02:44.13 Revelation 14, and what that message is. 00:02:44.16\00:02:46.66 And Revelation 18 is something very similar. 00:02:46.70\00:02:49.06 The character of God needs to be known to the world 00:02:49.10\00:02:51.33 in contrast with a false picture 00:02:51.37\00:02:52.97 the character of God being shared 00:02:53.00\00:02:54.67 by a counterfeit system. 00:02:54.70\00:02:56.60 Revelation 12:17, 00:02:56.64\00:02:59.34 the Bible looks down prophetically 00:02:59.37\00:03:01.44 till the last days of earth's history, 00:03:01.48\00:03:03.85 and it says that "The Dragon or Satan 00:03:03.88\00:03:07.48 was enraged with the woman..." 00:03:07.52\00:03:09.78 Which if you study talks about the church 00:03:09.82\00:03:11.95 being analogized to woman, 00:03:11.99\00:03:13.52 "And went to make war with the rest 00:03:13.56\00:03:15.62 or the remnant of her offspring 00:03:15.66\00:03:16.99 who keep the commandments of God 00:03:17.03\00:03:18.39 and have the testimony of Jesus." 00:03:18.43\00:03:21.16 And it's that idea again that God has people 00:03:21.20\00:03:25.23 and Satan isn't happy about that. 00:03:25.27\00:03:27.90 Why does Adventism matter? I don't know. 00:03:27.94\00:03:30.07 Maybe we should ask Satan, it must matter somehow 00:03:30.11\00:03:33.14 because obviously, the devil is not happy 00:03:33.17\00:03:36.01 with God's church. 00:03:36.04\00:03:37.38 Now does this mean that Adventists 00:03:37.41\00:03:39.15 are the only ones that are God's people 00:03:39.18\00:03:41.95 or there is no one else? 00:03:41.98\00:03:43.85 In John 10, Jesus talks about the fact 00:03:43.89\00:03:45.39 that he has sheep in many different folds. 00:03:45.42\00:03:47.26 Yes. 00:03:47.29\00:03:48.62 So it's not an exclusive thing in that regard. 00:03:48.66\00:03:51.99 At the same time, 00:03:52.03\00:03:53.43 God has always used a special people 00:03:53.46\00:03:55.76 for a certain purpose throughout history. 00:03:55.80\00:03:58.43 You know, there were the Jews, before that, there was Abraham 00:03:58.47\00:04:01.87 and the patriarchs going down through history 00:04:01.90\00:04:04.61 after the life of Christ, there were the disciples, 00:04:04.64\00:04:07.28 there are people like the Waldensians 00:04:07.31\00:04:09.28 who kept the Bible alive during a very corrupt period 00:04:09.31\00:04:12.41 of Christian history, the dark ages, 00:04:12.45\00:04:15.45 there were the reformers 00:04:15.48\00:04:17.09 that we've talked about in some episodes 00:04:17.12\00:04:18.89 like Wycliffe and Hus and Jerome and Martin Luther, 00:04:18.92\00:04:22.92 God has always been working with the people 00:04:22.96\00:04:25.59 just for a certain purpose. 00:04:25.63\00:04:27.20 Not because they were better 00:04:27.23\00:04:28.56 but because God needed them at that time. 00:04:28.60\00:04:30.63 Well, and one point in this is that, 00:04:30.67\00:04:33.10 you know, the Jews were the special people of God, right? 00:04:33.13\00:04:35.90 Right. 00:04:35.94\00:04:37.27 But God never intended them to be a secluded little people 00:04:37.31\00:04:40.11 away from everybody else that would never interact 00:04:40.14\00:04:42.01 and that they were the only ones saved 00:04:42.04\00:04:43.38 and that the Gentiles weren't saved, 00:04:43.41\00:04:45.51 that was what the perverted God's 00:04:45.55\00:04:48.65 instruction to them into, 00:04:48.68\00:04:50.12 but God never intended that, and I think it's the same way. 00:04:50.15\00:04:52.82 You know, the other thing too 00:04:52.85\00:04:54.42 that I want to speak to this question, 00:04:54.46\00:04:56.59 you know, I was raised in the church, 00:04:56.62\00:04:58.93 you know, I'd been, most of my life, in the church, 00:04:58.96\00:05:01.36 I spent some time away from it, but in all this, 00:05:01.40\00:05:05.10 it's easy as an Adventist young person to, 00:05:05.13\00:05:10.81 I guess, not really understand the real importance 00:05:10.84\00:05:13.84 of the message that God has given us, 00:05:13.88\00:05:15.61 you know. 00:05:15.64\00:05:16.98 I know, for me sometimes, it's easy to just, 00:05:17.01\00:05:19.01 you know, tune out of it, think it's just normal. 00:05:19.05\00:05:23.89 But the beauty in the power 00:05:23.92\00:05:25.85 of the message that God has given us is that 00:05:25.89\00:05:27.92 it's specifically to prepare us for Christ's coming. 00:05:27.96\00:05:30.56 You know, of all generations, 00:05:30.59\00:05:32.36 God has specifically given to this generation 00:05:32.39\00:05:36.00 a message that He's coming soon. 00:05:36.03\00:05:37.87 Biblically speaking, 00:05:37.90\00:05:39.23 we're living in the investigative judgment, 00:05:39.27\00:05:41.87 the thing that's happening immediately 00:05:41.90\00:05:44.04 before Christ's second coming. 00:05:44.07\00:05:46.04 And that's powerful. 00:05:46.07\00:05:47.41 I mean, Abraham, Isaac Jacob, Adam and Eve 00:05:47.44\00:05:50.71 all looked forward to the day that, 00:05:50.75\00:05:52.51 you know, we have the opportunity of seeing 00:05:52.55\00:05:55.18 of Jesus' second coming. 00:05:55.22\00:05:56.65 So why does Adventism matter? 00:05:56.69\00:05:59.02 It matters because Adventists, the advent of Christ 00:05:59.05\00:06:03.29 is specifically a movement all about preparing the people 00:06:03.32\00:06:07.60 for the second coming of Christ. 00:06:07.63\00:06:08.96 And what's the purpose of the second coming? 00:06:09.00\00:06:10.37 It's not a "I'm coming, and you better get it right." 00:06:10.40\00:06:13.03 The whole purpose of the second coming 00:06:13.07\00:06:14.44 is a wedding. 00:06:14.47\00:06:15.80 Yup. 00:06:15.84\00:06:17.17 The whole reason why Jesus is coming a second time 00:06:17.21\00:06:18.67 is because of what He did the first time. 00:06:18.71\00:06:20.81 He came and bore the sin of the world and died, 00:06:20.84\00:06:23.95 placing a value on you that you cannot deny, 00:06:23.98\00:06:27.08 that He values you beyond His own existence 00:06:27.12\00:06:29.75 if that's what it takes. 00:06:29.78\00:06:31.15 And the reason He's coming a second time 00:06:31.19\00:06:33.02 is to redeem what He's paid for. 00:06:33.05\00:06:35.09 If you paid $1,000 for a fancy television 00:06:35.12\00:06:37.79 at a store, 00:06:37.83\00:06:39.39 you're going to come back and pick that thing up. 00:06:39.43\00:06:41.16 You don't pay that high a price for something 00:06:41.20\00:06:43.63 and not desire to be with it. 00:06:43.67\00:06:45.53 And Jesus even implies this in John 14, 00:06:45.57\00:06:48.47 when He is using the second coming language, 00:06:48.50\00:06:50.17 He says, "I'm leaving." 00:06:50.21\00:06:51.71 He says, "Let not your heart be troubled. 00:06:51.74\00:06:53.61 You believe in God, believe also in Me." 00:06:53.64\00:06:55.21 And He says, "In My Father's house 00:06:55.24\00:06:56.58 are many mansions. 00:06:56.61\00:06:57.95 If this were not so, I would have told you. 00:06:57.98\00:06:59.45 But I'm going to prepare a place for you. 00:06:59.48\00:07:01.92 And if I go and prepare a place for you, 00:07:01.95\00:07:03.75 I will come again and receive you to Myself 00:07:03.79\00:07:06.76 so that where I am there you may be also." 00:07:06.79\00:07:09.86 So as Seventh-day Adventists, 00:07:09.89\00:07:11.23 one of our message to the world is 00:07:11.26\00:07:12.93 there's a God in heaven who longs to commune with you. 00:07:12.96\00:07:15.60 Yeah. 00:07:15.63\00:07:16.97 The reason why Jesus is coming back 00:07:17.00\00:07:18.33 is not to catch people off guard, 00:07:18.37\00:07:19.70 it's to bring them home. 00:07:19.73\00:07:21.07 Right. 00:07:21.10\00:07:22.44 And the message in the investigative judgment 00:07:22.47\00:07:23.84 is basically trying to prepare our people 00:07:23.87\00:07:25.84 to be ready for the second coming, 00:07:25.87\00:07:27.54 not to scare people away from God, 00:07:27.58\00:07:29.24 the judgment's actually good news. 00:07:29.28\00:07:30.61 Yeah. 00:07:30.65\00:07:31.98 God is so desperate to be understood 00:07:32.01\00:07:34.98 that He's making it clear to the all-looking universe 00:07:35.02\00:07:36.79 that He's investigating 00:07:36.82\00:07:38.15 before he renders a final judgment. 00:07:38.19\00:07:40.42 And that final judgment, at the end of time, 00:07:40.46\00:07:42.09 is God literally recognizing and honoring the decisions 00:07:42.12\00:07:44.89 that you made and that I made. 00:07:44.93\00:07:46.26 Yeah. 00:07:46.29\00:07:47.63 And I have one quick thing to that too. 00:07:47.66\00:07:50.07 We're preparing for Jesus to come, 00:07:50.10\00:07:52.23 we want Jesus to come, 00:07:52.27\00:07:54.30 but sometimes I think, as Adventist young people, 00:07:54.34\00:07:57.61 we still think, "Well, don't lots of churches believe 00:07:57.64\00:08:00.98 that Jesus is going to come?" 00:08:01.01\00:08:02.68 And that's true, and God needs all of us 00:08:02.71\00:08:04.68 to work together for that purpose. 00:08:04.71\00:08:06.75 But it's also the case 00:08:06.78\00:08:08.12 that God wants to be seen for who He is, 00:08:08.15\00:08:11.02 and there's been a lot of confusion 00:08:11.05\00:08:12.39 about God through the ages. 00:08:12.42\00:08:14.06 It's true. 00:08:14.09\00:08:15.42 I mean, not that many centuries ago, 00:08:15.46\00:08:16.79 they believed that you could pay for remission of sins. 00:08:16.83\00:08:19.39 Yeah. 00:08:19.43\00:08:20.76 And all sorts of crazy things where God has been working, 00:08:20.80\00:08:23.00 and I believe through the advent movement, 00:08:23.03\00:08:24.73 to help people see who God is. 00:08:24.77\00:08:26.23 It's not just scattered doctrines 00:08:26.27\00:08:28.10 being right or wrong. 00:08:28.14\00:08:29.47 Right. 00:08:29.50\00:08:30.84 But how that system goes together 00:08:30.87\00:08:32.21 to paint a God who cares, who loves, and who comes. 00:08:32.24\00:08:34.98 Well, even on that note, I don't want a God that roasts 00:08:35.01\00:08:38.95 and toasts people for all eternity. 00:08:38.98\00:08:40.42 Right. I don't want a... 00:08:40.45\00:08:42.08 How can I love a God 00:08:42.12\00:08:43.45 that is going to sit up in heaven 00:08:43.49\00:08:45.99 in His high and holy state while, down on earth, 00:08:46.02\00:08:48.99 throughout ceaseless ages of eternity, 00:08:49.02\00:08:51.39 for the sins of a small lifetime, 00:08:51.43\00:08:55.36 He's going to roast and toast them for all eternity? 00:08:55.40\00:08:57.33 And it's not a biblical doctrine. 00:08:57.37\00:08:58.70 No, it's not, and that's the beauty of Adventism 00:08:58.73\00:09:00.30 is that as a movement, 00:09:00.34\00:09:02.27 it has a harmonious system of doctrine 00:09:02.30\00:09:04.41 that puts the character of God 00:09:04.44\00:09:06.31 in its true sense, like you were saying, 00:09:06.34\00:09:08.04 and it shows the beauty of biblical doctrine. 00:09:08.08\00:09:10.08 Yes. 00:09:10.11\00:09:11.45 I think that this is the reason 00:09:11.48\00:09:12.81 the Seventh-day Adventist church exists. 00:09:12.85\00:09:14.35 Yeah. 00:09:14.38\00:09:15.72 To vindicate the beautiful picture 00:09:15.75\00:09:17.09 of the character of God 00:09:17.12\00:09:18.45 and to prepare our people to be ready 00:09:18.49\00:09:19.82 for the second coming of Jesus, 00:09:19.85\00:09:21.19 that's the whole point of all the things 00:09:21.22\00:09:22.56 that we believe. 00:09:22.59\00:09:23.93 It's not isolated, you know, 00:09:23.96\00:09:26.63 don't have anything to do with each other, 00:09:26.66\00:09:28.10 every single one of the things that we believe 00:09:28.13\00:09:29.73 as a Seventh-day Adventist church 00:09:29.76\00:09:31.20 are individual components of the big picture, 00:09:31.23\00:09:33.50 the character of God. 00:09:33.54\00:09:34.87 I kind of refer to it like those... 00:09:34.90\00:09:36.24 You ever had to do paint by numbers as a kid? 00:09:36.27\00:09:38.24 Yup. 00:09:38.27\00:09:39.61 So we believe there's about 28 colors we need to use 00:09:39.64\00:09:41.64 to paint the most beautiful picture of Jesus imaginable, 00:09:41.68\00:09:44.71 and that's what we believe what we believe 00:09:44.75\00:09:46.25 and what our intention is 00:09:46.28\00:09:47.62 that Christ is the central pillar 00:09:47.65\00:09:49.48 to everything we ever have believed 00:09:49.52\00:09:51.29 and want to believe as a movement. 00:09:51.32\00:09:53.25 And that we want Him to be the grand central truth. 00:09:53.29\00:09:56.09 Coming from outside of Adventism, 00:09:56.12\00:09:57.83 both of you were raised within the movement, 00:09:57.86\00:10:00.00 from coming outside of Adventism, 00:10:00.03\00:10:01.86 what brought me in was recognizing 00:10:01.90\00:10:03.77 that this picture of God makes sense to me. 00:10:03.80\00:10:06.03 Yeah. 00:10:06.07\00:10:07.40 Now I grew up in a cultural Baptist sense, 00:10:07.44\00:10:08.77 but I wasn't really rooted in any doctrine. 00:10:08.80\00:10:10.84 But I remember whenever I would hear 00:10:10.87\00:10:12.21 what was being shared, 00:10:12.24\00:10:13.58 I would look into my Bible and I'd recognize, 00:10:13.61\00:10:15.11 "I've never heard that before, but that's what the text says." 00:10:15.14\00:10:19.48 "And I've never heard that before, 00:10:19.51\00:10:20.98 but that's what the text says." 00:10:21.02\00:10:22.68 And it began to be clear to me that the things of God 00:10:22.72\00:10:26.22 do not always harmonize with the things of men, 00:10:26.25\00:10:28.52 in fact, a majority of the time, they don't. 00:10:28.56\00:10:30.69 Yeah. 00:10:30.73\00:10:32.06 But it does harmonize with logic, with reason, 00:10:32.09\00:10:34.40 and with the longings of the human heart. 00:10:34.43\00:10:36.16 Yeah. 00:10:36.20\00:10:37.53 And the picture of God that Adventism communicated 00:10:37.57\00:10:40.00 the more that I learned 00:10:40.04\00:10:41.37 resonated with the love for God I had in my heart. 00:10:41.40\00:10:44.91 I could find a system of belief and doctrine that resonated 00:10:44.94\00:10:48.91 with the gorgeous picture of God 00:10:48.94\00:10:50.28 that saved my soul in the first place, 00:10:50.31\00:10:52.78 and I realized not only can I believe that, 00:10:52.81\00:10:55.72 I want to believe that. 00:10:55.75\00:10:57.62 And if I had to be in a situation 00:10:57.65\00:10:58.99 to talk to someone else about what I believed, 00:10:59.02\00:11:00.99 I could do it in a way that I wasn't ashamed, right? 00:11:01.02\00:11:03.83 Like I don't have to feel like, "Man, I really hope 00:11:03.86\00:11:05.49 someone doesn't ask me about this particular component 00:11:05.53\00:11:07.86 of what my church believes." 00:11:07.90\00:11:09.23 Like I'm actually okay with what my church believes, 00:11:09.26\00:11:11.83 and that's why I'm here, and I think it's been a gift. 00:11:11.87\00:11:14.90 So actually, that kind of segues us 00:11:14.94\00:11:16.60 into our next question which comes from... 00:11:16.64\00:11:20.24 I have to find it here on the page. Oh, man. 00:11:20.28\00:11:22.71 Okay, this question is, 00:11:22.74\00:11:26.05 "How can we learn to lovingly take a stand 00:11:26.08\00:11:29.32 for Biblical truth in a society 00:11:29.35\00:11:31.02 where the concept of truth has become so relative?" 00:11:31.05\00:11:33.09 And I just want to say, first off, 00:11:33.12\00:11:35.39 it's really true that our society has become 00:11:35.42\00:11:38.46 so relative in its thinking 00:11:38.49\00:11:40.50 that we place all things in the realm of opinion 00:11:40.53\00:11:44.33 and then judge all opinions as equal to one another. 00:11:44.37\00:11:47.24 But I just want to first say, there is truth, there is... 00:11:47.27\00:11:51.94 It is so, can I say, relaxing and restful to the soul 00:11:51.97\00:11:57.45 to know that there's truth and that we can ascertain it? 00:11:57.48\00:12:00.12 Yes. Right? 00:12:00.15\00:12:01.48 John 14:6, Jesus says, 00:12:01.52\00:12:03.05 "I am the way, the truth, and the life." 00:12:03.08\00:12:06.32 Not just a truth or one of many truths but the truth. 00:12:06.35\00:12:10.79 And that's huge, 00:12:10.83\00:12:12.16 and in the context of Adventism, 00:12:12.19\00:12:13.60 it doesn't mean that we're saying 00:12:13.63\00:12:14.96 that only Adventists will be saved 00:12:15.00\00:12:16.87 or anything like that, but we are saying 00:12:16.90\00:12:18.33 that there's only one way to salvation, 00:12:18.37\00:12:20.40 and that's Jesus Christ, that's what He said, 00:12:20.44\00:12:22.84 and knowing that gives something to stand on 00:12:22.87\00:12:26.04 in a very relative and shaky world 00:12:26.07\00:12:28.41 where everything is shifting and changing. 00:12:28.44\00:12:30.01 Yeah. 00:12:30.05\00:12:31.38 And I think one of the reasons why relativism sounds appealing 00:12:31.41\00:12:34.38 is because accountability is something 00:12:34.42\00:12:35.88 we're not a fan of, 00:12:35.92\00:12:37.45 and two, in our attempts 00:12:37.49\00:12:39.42 to meet a standard that was given to us 00:12:39.45\00:12:42.02 while failing, it's better to just not have a standard. 00:12:42.06\00:12:44.93 Yeah. 00:12:44.96\00:12:46.29 And there are many people even in our own movement 00:12:46.33\00:12:47.66 who we realize that God expects a lot, 00:12:47.70\00:12:49.50 we believe the Ten Commandments are relevant and necessary, 00:12:49.53\00:12:52.53 but if we haven't done a good job of communicating, 00:12:52.57\00:12:54.67 that the power of God is available to us 00:12:54.70\00:12:56.60 through the Holy Spirit to keep the law, 00:12:56.64\00:12:59.87 then it just seems hopeless 00:12:59.91\00:13:01.24 and relativism sounds pretty exciting to me 00:13:01.28\00:13:03.88 because I don't have to worry about accountability 00:13:03.91\00:13:06.01 'cause I tried to be right with God 00:13:06.05\00:13:07.95 and I failed on my own. 00:13:07.98\00:13:09.62 Not knowing that the Holy Spirit's power 00:13:09.65\00:13:12.15 was an alternative. 00:13:12.19\00:13:13.79 Where I could actually be getting the very things 00:13:13.82\00:13:15.16 that God asks of me, 00:13:15.19\00:13:16.66 God is willing to provide power to walk in. 00:13:16.69\00:13:18.93 Yeah. 00:13:18.96\00:13:20.30 You know, another point with that too is... 00:13:20.33\00:13:22.46 I'm blanking on what book I've read this in, 00:13:22.50\00:13:25.17 but it was a statement that said 00:13:25.20\00:13:27.14 the leading cause of skepticism in the world 00:13:27.17\00:13:30.61 is the love of sin. 00:13:30.64\00:13:33.48 We shy away from the truth because we love sin. 00:13:33.51\00:13:35.68 So the question is 00:13:35.71\00:13:37.05 how do we share the message of truth 00:13:37.08\00:13:39.71 in a culture that kind of rejects the idea of truth? 00:13:39.75\00:13:43.39 I think the biggest thing is to give it in a way... 00:13:43.42\00:13:46.96 show it in its true beauty. 00:13:46.99\00:13:48.32 You know, go to people 00:13:48.36\00:13:49.69 and win their hearts to the love of God, 00:13:49.72\00:13:51.53 and when somebody's heart loves God, 00:13:51.56\00:13:53.70 they will want to prove the truth, 00:13:53.73\00:13:55.56 but if all they see is a vengeful God, maybe not. 00:13:55.60\00:13:59.23 Well, unfortunately, 00:13:59.27\00:14:00.60 this is all the time we have left. 00:14:00.64\00:14:03.41 But I just want to thank you for tuning in. 00:14:03.44\00:14:04.84 If you have more questions, 00:14:04.87\00:14:06.21 please feel free to reach out to us on Facebook, 00:14:06.24\00:14:08.34 Raw Questions Relevant Answers. 00:14:08.38\00:14:10.41 God bless. Take care. 00:14:10.45\00:14:11.91
