What does the future hold? 00:00:01.36\00:00:02.70 Where can we find certainty in a world of uncertainty? 00:00:02.73\00:00:05.83 The book of Revelation provides hopeful answers for today, 00:00:05.87\00:00:09.60 tomorrow, and forever. 00:00:09.64\00:00:11.37 Join Mark Finley, author and world renowned speaker, 00:00:11.41\00:00:14.98 on a journey into the future with 00:00:15.01\00:00:17.25 Welcome again to Revelation's Ancient Discoveries. 00:00:21.45\00:00:24.45 I'm glad you've joined us. 00:00:24.49\00:00:26.05 We've been on a journey through the book of Revelation. 00:00:26.09\00:00:28.79 And this presentation focuses especially on Jesus 00:00:28.82\00:00:32.96 in the book of Revelation. 00:00:32.99\00:00:34.33 When many people think of Revelation, they think of 00:00:34.36\00:00:36.40 of cryptic symbols. 00:00:36.43\00:00:37.77 They think of strange beasts. 00:00:37.80\00:00:39.93 They think of prophetic images. 00:00:39.97\00:00:42.64 But yet Jesus is the center of the book of Revelation. 00:00:42.67\00:00:46.11 Now, of course, in this series we will discuss these various 00:00:46.14\00:00:50.18 prophetic symbols in their meaning. 00:00:50.21\00:00:51.65 They're vitally important. 00:00:51.68\00:00:53.11 But if you understand the prophetic symbols, 00:00:53.18\00:00:54.95 and you leave out Jesus, you've missed the heart of the book. 00:00:54.98\00:00:57.52 So let's pray together as we go into this presentation. 00:00:57.55\00:01:00.82 Father in Heaven, as we open the Word of God again, 00:01:00.86\00:01:03.86 as we look at the book of Revelation, come, be with us. 00:01:03.89\00:01:08.16 May this be more than an exercise to satisfy our 00:01:08.20\00:01:11.57 curiosity, but may it be a powerful life changing 00:01:11.60\00:01:15.44 presentation for each of us. 00:01:15.47\00:01:16.91 In Christ's name, Amen. 00:01:16.97\00:01:18.77 Our topic for this presentation is 00:01:18.81\00:01:22.38 You know, the world we live in is a world that is filled 00:01:25.61\00:01:29.32 with incredible stress. 00:01:29.38\00:01:31.45 People seem to be rushed, hurried, 00:01:31.49\00:01:34.49 stressed out much of the time. 00:01:34.52\00:01:36.76 And as the result of that, scores of people are 00:01:36.79\00:01:40.10 experiencing health problems. 00:01:40.13\00:01:42.33 Stress is one of the major causes of 00:01:42.36\00:01:44.93 coronary heart disease. 00:01:44.97\00:01:46.30 How much stress is too much? 00:01:46.33\00:01:48.87 The researchers at a large eastern University wanted to 00:01:48.90\00:01:53.31 find the answer to that question. 00:01:53.34\00:01:55.58 And so they took a lamb, and they put that lamb in a pen. 00:01:55.61\00:02:00.92 And in the lamb's feeding pen they put ten stations. 00:02:00.95\00:02:05.79 They hooked up an electrode to each one of these stations. 00:02:05.82\00:02:10.83 Now the researchers could observe what the lamb was doing, 00:02:10.86\00:02:15.83 and the lamb couldn't see out of the pen. 00:02:15.86\00:02:17.93 So the lamb would go over to one feeding station, 00:02:17.97\00:02:21.40 and the researchers would press a button, shock the lamb. 00:02:21.44\00:02:25.24 They wanted to find out how much stress this lamb could take. 00:02:25.27\00:02:29.34 Now what do you think happened when the lamb was shocked? 00:02:29.38\00:02:31.61 Of course, the lamb jumped and ran. 00:02:31.68\00:02:34.02 The researchers were surprised. 00:02:34.08\00:02:36.15 The lamb never went back to the feeding station 00:02:36.18\00:02:39.55 where it was shocked. 00:02:39.59\00:02:40.92 The researchers kept shocking that poor little lamb 00:02:40.96\00:02:45.69 at every feeding station. 00:02:45.73\00:02:47.83 And the lamb was shocked again and again. 00:02:47.86\00:02:50.93 Now the shocks weren't strong enough to kill the lamb, 00:02:50.97\00:02:53.10 just strong enough to stress out the lamb. 00:02:53.13\00:02:55.40 And the lamb would never go back to the feeding station 00:02:55.44\00:02:57.74 where it was shocked. 00:02:57.77\00:02:59.11 Feeding station 3, shock; feeding station 6, shock. 00:02:59.14\00:03:02.44 Pretty soon the lamb was shocked at every feeding station. 00:03:02.48\00:03:05.88 The lamb ran to the center of the pen and just began shaking, 00:03:05.91\00:03:09.28 and shaking, and shaking. 00:03:09.32\00:03:10.65 The lamb died of a heart attack, a nervous breakdown. 00:03:10.69\00:03:15.66 The amount of stress was just so great the lamb couldn't 00:03:15.69\00:03:20.73 take it any longer. 00:03:20.76\00:03:22.26 Then the researchers did something quite amazing. 00:03:22.30\00:03:25.97 They put that lamb's twin in the pen with its mother. 00:03:26.00\00:03:34.08 And as they did, the lamb went over to the feeding station, 00:03:34.11\00:03:39.81 that little lamb, and began to eat. 00:03:39.85\00:03:41.52 They shocked it. The lamb turned and looked to its mother, 00:03:41.58\00:03:46.29 ran over to its mother. 00:03:46.32\00:03:48.42 And the mother said something in the lamb's ear that they 00:03:48.46\00:03:52.16 were not sure of what that lamb language was all about. 00:03:52.19\00:03:57.67 And they wondered, What's going on here? 00:03:57.70\00:04:00.54 What's this little lamb going to do? 00:04:00.57\00:04:02.10 The lamb ran then to the next feeding station and ate. 00:04:02.14\00:04:07.14 They shocked it. Mother looked at lamb, lamb looked at mother. 00:04:07.18\00:04:11.08 The shock wasn't that bad. 00:04:11.11\00:04:12.75 The lamb went ba ba, mother lamb went ba ba, 00:04:12.78\00:04:16.32 and the lamb kept eating. 00:04:16.35\00:04:19.35 The researchers were amazed. 00:04:19.39\00:04:22.32 The presence of the mother in the pen made all the difference. 00:04:22.36\00:04:27.33 This little lamb had some place to run. 00:04:27.36\00:04:30.87 This little lamb had a place of security. 00:04:30.90\00:04:34.04 This little lamb had a place of refuge. 00:04:34.07\00:04:37.11 And the stressors did not bother the lamb any longer. 00:04:37.14\00:04:42.74 Is there a place that you can run in the 00:04:42.78\00:04:45.31 stresses of your life? 00:04:45.35\00:04:46.68 Who can carry our load? 00:04:50.35\00:04:53.62 In the book of Revelation, deeply within the heart of 00:04:53.66\00:04:57.59 Scripture, in the last book of the Bible, 00:04:57.63\00:05:00.36 Jesus Christ is the center theme. 00:05:00.40\00:05:03.40 He is the One that can bear our burdens. 00:05:03.47\00:05:05.90 He is the One that can lift the heavy load. 00:05:05.93\00:05:08.84 He is the One that can enable us to handle 00:05:08.87\00:05:11.17 the stressors of life. 00:05:11.21\00:05:12.54 Now remember, Revelation 1:1, our theme. 00:05:12.57\00:05:16.14 This book of Revelation is the Revelation of who everybody? 00:05:16.18\00:05:20.18 Who's it the revelation of? 00:05:20.22\00:05:21.55 That's right! We're going to explore that, 00:11:07.90\00:11:11.13 and why this symbolism of a lamb is so significant. 00:11:11.17\00:11:15.10 Throughout the book of Revelation one thing that 00:11:15.14\00:11:19.01 kind of startles you is the Lamb and the dragon fight. 00:11:19.04\00:11:22.28 If the Lamb and dragon fight, who do you thinks' going to win? 00:11:22.31\00:11:25.81 Obviously the dragon. 00:11:25.85\00:11:29.28 Not so! The book of Revelation turns that on its head. 00:11:29.32\00:11:33.19 Revelation 17:14 says, These will make war with the Lamb. 00:11:33.22\00:11:38.49 It's talking about a great confederacy at end time. 00:11:38.53\00:11:41.06 And the Lamb will overcome them. 00:11:41.10\00:11:43.47 The Lamb overcomes all the powers of evil at the end. 00:11:43.50\00:11:46.90 There's something about the blood of the Lamb, 00:11:46.94\00:11:49.10 something about the blood of the Lamb that enables God's 00:11:49.17\00:11:53.81 plan to triumph over the principalities and powers 00:11:53.84\00:11:57.18 of hell in the Universe. Why? 00:11:57.21\00:11:58.75 So the Lamb triumph's over the dragon, and the Lamb becomes 00:12:06.69\00:12:10.39 King of Kings, and Lord of lords. 00:12:10.43\00:12:13.40 Now how can we understand, in 20th Century terms, 00:12:13.43\00:12:19.97 what this blood of the Lamb means? 00:12:20.00\00:12:22.40 We're going to go back throughout the Old Testament 00:12:22.44\00:12:25.04 and try to discover the significance of that. 00:12:25.07\00:12:28.11 Be prepared for some surprises, because tonight God's 00:12:28.14\00:12:31.58 going to speak to you. 00:12:31.61\00:12:32.95 In this presentation God's going to touch your heart. 00:12:32.98\00:12:35.88 In this presentation you're going to discover why this 00:12:35.92\00:12:39.19 imagery of the blood of the Lamb is so significant. 00:12:39.22\00:12:42.46 You will find forgiveness. 00:12:42.49\00:12:44.33 You'll find freedom from guilt. 00:12:44.39\00:12:46.39 You'll find a new power in your life. 00:12:46.43\00:12:49.16 And you will find that the greatest power in 00:12:49.20\00:12:51.87 the Universe is love. 00:12:51.90\00:12:53.23 And this whole imagery of the blood of the 00:12:53.27\00:12:55.40 Lamb speaks of love. 00:12:55.44\00:12:56.77 The love of a God that would not let you go. 00:12:56.81\00:12:59.17 The love of a God that will follow you wherever you go. 00:12:59.21\00:13:02.91 The love of God that will touch your life, and change your life, 00:13:02.94\00:13:06.48 and transform your life. 00:13:06.51\00:13:07.85 Satan has tried to dominate the Universe in the great 00:13:07.88\00:13:11.05 controversy between good and evil, by lies, 00:13:11.09\00:13:13.76 deception, and force. 00:13:13.79\00:13:15.42 Jesus dominates by one thing, and He dominates by love. 00:13:15.46\00:13:22.36 That's the significance of this symbolism. 00:13:22.40\00:13:25.13 Now you remember, God creates Adam and Eve. 00:13:25.17\00:13:27.84 He creates them perfect. 00:13:27.87\00:13:29.70 He creates them with no flaw. 00:13:29.74\00:13:32.14 He creates them in His own image, the Bible says. 00:13:32.17\00:13:35.48 And He creates Adam and Eve with the power of choice, 00:13:35.51\00:13:40.45 with the capacity to choose between good and evil. 00:13:40.48\00:13:45.39 Eve goes to the tree. 00:13:45.45\00:13:47.96 Satan says to her, Has God really said that you 00:13:48.02\00:13:51.83 can't eat of this tree? 00:13:51.86\00:13:53.19 When you eat of it you'll become as God's, knowing good and evil. 00:13:53.23\00:13:55.63 But controversy wages on earth. 00:13:55.66\00:13:57.53 That controversy that we studied about in Revelation that waged 00:13:57.57\00:14:00.74 in heaven, wages on earth. 00:14:00.77\00:14:02.10 Eve, and her husband Adam, are caught in a Titanic struggle. 00:14:02.14\00:14:06.64 They're caught with a choice: God said, You shall not eat. 00:14:06.68\00:14:11.18 Disobeying God. They partake of that fruit of the 00:14:12.21\00:14:16.62 tree of good and evil, and immediately evil, 00:14:16.65\00:14:20.06 and wickedness, and sin come into their bodies. 00:14:20.09\00:14:23.39 They're separated from God. 00:14:23.43\00:14:25.89 Does God push this planet out into space 00:14:25.93\00:14:29.06 and simply annihilate it, and let selfishness reign, 00:14:29.10\00:14:34.17 and let the entire human race be destroyed? 00:14:34.20\00:14:37.21 Does God simply swat and destroy evil, 00:14:37.24\00:14:40.21 like swatting a mosquito? 00:14:40.24\00:14:42.61 Does God simply destroy Adam and Eve and say, 00:14:42.64\00:14:45.51 Okay, you've sinned. 00:14:45.55\00:14:46.88 The wages of sin is death. 00:14:46.92\00:14:48.25 I'm going to start all over again? 00:14:48.28\00:14:49.62 God does not do that at all. 00:14:49.65\00:14:51.72 God develops a plan, a plan that would deal 00:14:51.75\00:14:55.59 with the sin problem, because sin develops a major problem. 00:14:55.62\00:15:00.96 And this is what the text says: The wages of sin... 00:15:01.00\00:15:03.83 Can you say it with me? 00:15:03.87\00:15:05.20 You may know the text. 00:15:05.23\00:15:06.57 Why is sin's wage death? 00:15:11.64\00:15:14.94 Because sin separates us from God. 00:15:14.98\00:15:18.01 God is the source of life. 00:15:18.05\00:15:20.35 So to be separated from God, is to be separated from the source 00:15:20.38\00:15:24.82 of life; therefore death ensues. 00:15:24.85\00:15:28.36 If you have an apple tree and you break a branch off 00:15:28.39\00:15:33.50 of the apple tree, the sap in the branch may cause the leaves 00:15:33.53\00:15:38.20 still to be green, and may cause the apples still to be 00:15:38.23\00:15:41.47 there on that branch. 00:15:41.50\00:15:42.94 But you come back a day later, 2 days later, 5 days later, 00:15:42.97\00:15:46.47 pretty soon you see that branch separated from the 00:15:46.51\00:15:48.94 tree, dying in decay. 00:15:48.98\00:15:50.61 Exact same thing with sin. 00:15:50.65\00:15:52.58 Sin separates us from the source of life. 00:15:52.61\00:15:56.08 Sin separates us from God, and death ensues in our bodies. 00:15:56.12\00:16:01.62 Now, how do you deal with the problem of death? 00:16:01.66\00:16:05.03 That's where the Lamb comes in. 00:16:05.06\00:16:06.93 Now the blood represents life. 00:16:13.67\00:16:17.17 When the life of Jesus is poured out on the cross, 00:16:17.21\00:16:21.74 His life atones for Adam's sin. 00:16:21.78\00:16:26.21 Down through the Old Testament the symbolism of a lamb, 00:16:26.28\00:16:31.55 and the symbolism of a dying lamb 00:16:31.59\00:16:34.46 represents the dying Christ. 00:16:34.49\00:16:37.16 Blood represents life. 00:16:37.19\00:16:39.49 The blood of the Lamb shed throughout the Old Testament, 00:16:39.53\00:16:43.00 represents the life of the sinner that must die, 00:16:43.03\00:16:47.90 not simply a physical death, but an eternal death, 00:16:47.94\00:16:50.97 because of sin, unless there's a substitute. 00:16:51.01\00:16:53.48 So throughout the Old Testament men and women who 00:16:53.51\00:16:58.01 sinned brought lambs. Why? 00:16:58.05\00:17:01.48 The dying Lamb represents the dying of Christ. 00:17:08.36\00:17:12.19 Now you say that's terrible! 00:17:17.23\00:17:18.80 That's terrible that all these sacrifices, 00:17:18.83\00:17:21.14 all this blood had to be shed. 00:17:21.17\00:17:23.07 It's terrible because the lamb didn't do anything. 00:17:23.10\00:17:26.61 It is terrible. Sin brings its consequences. 00:17:26.68\00:17:30.71 Sin brings death. But there's something more terrible 00:17:30.75\00:17:34.95 than the death of a lamb, and that's the death of 00:17:34.98\00:17:38.72 Jesus Christ, the Divine Son of God. 00:17:38.75\00:17:41.32 Sin has its wages, and those wages are death. 00:17:41.36\00:17:46.53 And all of heaven was willing to pay that wage 00:17:46.56\00:17:50.57 for the human race. 00:17:50.63\00:17:52.13 So let's go to the Old Testament Sanctuary and see if we can 00:17:52.20\00:17:55.77 learn some lessons that apply to our lives 00:17:55.80\00:17:59.24 about this dying lamb. 00:17:59.27\00:18:01.08 Here's a man that gets in a big argument with his neighbor, 00:18:01.14\00:18:04.55 and the argument is over a land dispute. 00:18:04.58\00:18:07.65 And so the man begins yelling and screaming at his neighbor. 00:18:07.68\00:18:11.39 And as this man is yelling, as he's screaming at his neighbor, 00:18:11.42\00:18:15.06 he slaps his neighbor across the face. 00:18:15.09\00:18:18.09 That night, as this man goes back to his tent in ancient 00:18:18.13\00:18:21.96 Israel, he begins to think of what he's done. 00:18:22.00\00:18:24.87 He begins to think of his sin. 00:18:24.90\00:18:28.37 He kneels down before God, and he says, God, I've sinned. 00:18:28.40\00:18:33.68 My anger got the best of me! 00:18:33.71\00:18:35.41 I slapped my neighbor. 00:18:35.44\00:18:36.78 Not only must he go to his neighbor and ask for 00:18:36.81\00:18:39.91 forgiveness, but he has to bring a lamb. 00:18:39.95\00:18:42.98 And he brings a lamb here to the Sanctuary. 00:18:43.02\00:18:45.89 As he enters the Sanctuary with the lamb, 00:18:45.92\00:18:48.76 he's met by the priest. 00:18:48.79\00:18:50.13 He comes to that Sanctuary with his lamb, and he places his 00:18:50.16\00:18:56.30 hands over the head of the lamb. 00:18:56.33\00:18:58.63 Not simply over the head of the lamb, 00:18:58.67\00:19:01.60 but on the head of the lamb. 00:19:01.67\00:19:03.17 The full weight of that man's body 00:19:03.20\00:19:08.34 is on the head of that lamb. 00:19:08.41\00:19:09.88 And then this man must take the knife, 00:19:09.94\00:19:14.62 and he must come to that lamb. 00:19:14.68\00:19:17.72 As he's placing his hands on the head of the lamb, 00:19:17.75\00:19:21.39 as that lamb is against his knee, that man must take the 00:19:21.42\00:19:25.96 knife and he must slit the throat of the lamb. 00:19:25.99\00:19:28.83 As he confesses his sin over the head of the lamb, 00:19:28.86\00:19:32.90 the guilt of the sin is transferred from 00:19:32.93\00:19:35.70 the man to the lamb. 00:19:35.74\00:19:37.07 You say, The lamb didn't do anything. 00:19:37.11\00:19:39.07 The lamb didn't sin. 00:19:39.11\00:19:40.44 In fact the Bible says you bring a lamb without spot or blemish. 00:19:40.48\00:19:43.58 Now there were multiple offerings in the Sanctuary. 00:19:43.61\00:19:46.35 They could bring a bullock, they could bring a lamb, depending on 00:19:46.38\00:19:49.32 the sin, and depending on the nature of the individual. 00:19:49.35\00:19:53.86 You know, actually, very poor people at times 00:19:53.89\00:19:56.76 brought grain offerings. 00:19:56.79\00:19:58.59 There was a perpetual sacrifice, a blood offered for 00:19:58.63\00:20:02.60 them at the Sanctuary. 00:20:02.63\00:20:03.97 But the provisions of the Sanctuary for all humanity, 00:20:04.00\00:20:07.07 whoever you are you cam come. 00:20:07.10\00:20:09.10 Whoever you are you can find grace. 00:20:09.14\00:20:11.87 Whoever you are you can find mercy. 00:20:11.91\00:20:14.58 So the person has to slit the throat of the lamb 00:20:14.61\00:20:18.18 there at the altar in the court. 00:20:18.21\00:20:22.58 Once that lamb is slain in the court, part of the blood is 00:20:22.62\00:20:28.86 poured out at the basin of that altar of sacrifice. 00:20:28.92\00:20:33.33 But the priest took the blood into the Sanctuary 00:20:33.36\00:20:37.73 and sprinkled it before the veil, behind which was the 00:20:37.77\00:20:41.64 ark of the covenant, or the law of God. 00:20:41.67\00:20:44.37 Now notice how Leviticus puts it. 00:20:44.41\00:20:46.41 Now notice the last part of the text; very interesting. 00:20:54.62\00:20:57.75 So if it was a lie, he had to confess that. 00:21:02.99\00:21:05.79 If it was anger, he had to confess that. 00:21:05.83\00:21:08.56 If it was selfishness or greed, whatever that sin was. 00:21:08.60\00:21:12.07 So sin was very, very specifically confessed. 00:21:12.10\00:21:16.87 Too many times Christians get on their knees and say, 00:21:16.91\00:21:19.97 Oh Jesus, if I sinned today, please forgive me. 00:21:20.01\00:21:22.91 That kind of general confession, which is really not confession, 00:21:22.94\00:21:28.32 it's really self-justification; that general confession does not 00:21:28.35\00:21:33.05 bring the peace to the soul. 00:21:33.09\00:21:34.76 It does not bring joy to the heart. 00:21:34.79\00:21:37.63 It does not bring deliverance from guilt. 00:21:37.66\00:21:39.59 But when you and I get on our knees, and before God 00:21:39.63\00:21:43.06 barefacedly repent and say, God, today I was selfish. 00:21:43.10\00:21:46.53 God, today I was less than honest. 00:21:46.57\00:21:48.90 God today pride filled my heart. 00:21:48.94\00:21:51.54 Jesus, I know you are my Lamb. 00:21:51.57\00:21:54.04 That makes all the difference. 00:21:54.08\00:21:56.51 So the sinner must bring the Lamb. 00:21:56.54\00:21:59.21 He must take his knife... Notice what it says. 00:21:59.25\00:22:02.22 He shall bring his trespass offering to the Lord for his 00:22:02.25\00:22:05.42 sin, which he has committed. 00:22:05.45\00:22:06.96 Every lamb pointed forward to the coming of Christ, 00:22:06.99\00:22:11.86 the Divine Lamb of God. 00:22:11.89\00:22:13.26 Do you remember what John the Baptist said in John 1:29? 00:22:13.29\00:22:16.30 He saw Jesus coming and he said, Behold the Lamb of God, 00:22:16.33\00:22:19.30 which takes away the sin of the world. 00:22:19.33\00:22:21.47 Your sin can be taken away. 00:22:21.50\00:22:23.77 Your sin can be forgiven. 00:22:23.81\00:22:26.01 Provision through Christ has been made for that. 00:22:26.07\00:22:30.11 The Bible is very clear. 00:22:30.15\00:22:31.58 The Bible is very plain. 00:22:33.88\00:22:35.62 So the tabernacle of Christ in heaven was foreshadowed 00:22:50.00\00:22:55.80 with the earthly tabernacle. 00:22:55.87\00:22:57.34 You see, in the book of Hebrews you have three major themes. 00:22:57.41\00:23:00.68 1. Christ is better. 00:23:00.71\00:23:02.38 Christ is better, and His sacrifice is better than 00:23:02.41\00:23:05.25 earthly sacrifices. 00:23:05.28\00:23:06.61 2. The priesthood of Christ is better than the priesthood 00:23:06.65\00:23:09.68 of earthly priests. 00:23:09.72\00:23:11.05 3. The Sanctuary of Christ in heaven is better than 00:23:11.09\00:23:13.92 the earthly Sanctuary. 00:23:13.96\00:23:15.29 So all of Hebrews is about Christ is better. 00:23:15.32\00:23:17.93 But we see in the Old Testament clearly the outline of this plan 00:23:17.99\00:23:24.63 of salvation that would be manifest in Christ when He 00:23:24.67\00:23:28.30 came centuries later. 00:23:28.34\00:23:30.97 So the text says. And it goes on to say, 00:23:31.01\00:23:33.61 Jesus once for all, after His sacrifice on the cross, 00:23:45.59\00:23:51.63 ascended to heaven. 00:23:51.69\00:23:53.90 And He says, as we come seeking forgiveness, 00:23:53.93\00:23:57.97 as we come seeking grace, as we come seeking 00:23:58.00\00:24:02.34 freedom from guilt. 00:24:02.40\00:24:03.74 Jesus says, This man, this woman, is one of Mine. 00:24:03.77\00:24:06.88 He writes pardon after our name. 00:24:06.91\00:24:09.38 Why? Because His blood was shed. 00:24:09.41\00:24:11.81 It is not the blood of lambs, the blood of bulls, and goats 00:24:11.85\00:24:16.48 that provides forgiveness for sin. 00:24:16.52\00:24:18.29 That simply foreshadowed, that simply kept people focused, 00:24:18.32\00:24:23.46 if they knew or understand. 00:24:23.49\00:24:25.33 The Bible says in Hebrews 9:28... 00:24:25.39\00:24:28.03 Can you read it from the screen with me wherever you are? 00:24:28.06\00:24:30.27 maybe in your home, and maybe with friends. 00:24:30.30\00:24:32.40 Let's read it together. 00:24:32.43\00:24:33.77 Just like the sinner confessed their sin, the guilt is 00:24:37.64\00:24:42.81 transferred to the Lamb. 00:24:42.84\00:24:45.31 The Lamb dies, not in behalf of the sinner, but as a symbol 00:24:45.38\00:24:49.72 of Christ who would die in behalf of the sinner. 00:24:49.75\00:24:52.02 Now let me ask you this: Where was the sin before 00:24:52.05\00:24:58.13 the sinner confessed it? 00:24:58.16\00:24:59.73 Who had it? When the sinner is coming with the Lamb by his 00:24:59.79\00:25:02.96 side, to His Sanctuary, who has the sin? That's right! 00:25:03.00\00:25:08.60 The sinner has it. Is the sinner guilty? Certainly. 00:25:08.64\00:25:11.74 Is the sinner burdened with guilt? Definitely. 00:25:11.77\00:25:14.14 Now, once the sinner confesses the sin, and it's transferred 00:25:14.18\00:25:20.15 to the Lamb, who has it now? 00:25:20.18\00:25:22.28 You say, the Lamb! Right. 00:25:22.32\00:25:24.35 Isn't that why the Lamb had to die? 00:25:24.39\00:25:25.92 Because it was a transference of guilt from the man to the Lamb? 00:25:25.95\00:25:31.23 When the man walks away from the Sanctuary, 00:25:31.26\00:25:34.03 what kind of feelings do you think he has? 00:25:34.10\00:25:36.83 He's filled with joy! Why? 00:25:36.87\00:25:38.90 Because the sin is transferred to the Lamb. 00:25:38.93\00:25:41.80 The blood of the Lamb is shed. 00:25:41.84\00:25:43.64 That blood, with the record of that sin, 00:25:43.67\00:25:46.11 goes into the Sanctuary. 00:25:46.14\00:25:47.48 Who does not have the guilt now? 00:25:47.51\00:25:50.21 The man doesn't. He's, he's singing. 00:25:50.25\00:25:53.11 He's filled with praise! 00:25:53.15\00:25:54.48 He's been forgiven! 00:25:54.52\00:25:55.85 Let me ask you this question: Why are you still bearing guilt? 00:25:55.88\00:25:59.12 You confessed your sin to Jesus. 00:25:59.15\00:26:01.59 Why are you still carrying that load of guilt around? 00:26:01.62\00:26:04.63 Why do you still feel that emptiness in your soul? 00:26:04.66\00:26:07.60 If you have confessed your sin to Jesus, you no longer need 00:26:07.63\00:26:13.20 to carry that guilt. 00:26:13.23\00:26:14.57 That's what the blood of the Lamb is all about. 00:26:14.60\00:26:17.44 We confess our sin and that guilt is gone. 00:26:17.51\00:26:22.04 We don't have to bear that sin any longer. 00:26:22.08\00:26:25.75 Many people are on antidepressants, often because 00:26:25.78\00:26:31.55 they are so guilty because of what they've done. 00:26:31.59\00:26:34.26 Now I don't mean that's the only reason, 00:26:34.29\00:26:36.02 but it is one reason. 00:26:36.06\00:26:37.39 Guilty about their past, guilty about their failures, 00:26:37.43\00:26:40.50 guilty about the things they should have done. 00:26:40.53\00:26:42.50 There is a fountain filled with blood that's drawn 00:26:42.53\00:26:47.84 from Immanuel's veins. 00:26:47.90\00:26:49.70 And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all 00:26:49.74\00:26:54.34 their guilty stains. 00:26:54.38\00:26:56.14 Redeemed how I love to proclaim it. 00:26:56.18\00:26:58.65 Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. 00:26:58.68\00:27:01.12 Amazing grace how sweet the sound, 00:27:01.15\00:27:03.55 that saved a wretch like me. 00:27:03.59\00:27:06.45 I once was lost, but now I'm found. 00:27:06.49\00:27:10.89 Once we come to Jesus that guilt in Christ is gone. 00:27:10.93\00:27:19.17 Once we come in our imagination with our Lamb to the Sanctuary, 00:27:19.20\00:27:26.07 and once we kneel and confess our sins at the foot of 00:27:26.11\00:27:31.01 Calvary's cross, the guilt is taken from us. 00:27:31.05\00:27:34.85 It is placed on our Savior and Lord, and our Redeemer. 00:27:34.88\00:27:39.42 We need not bear that guilt anymore. 00:27:39.45\00:27:42.72 We are free! We are free! 00:27:42.76\00:27:45.83 We are free in Jesus Christ! 00:27:45.86\00:27:48.83 That's good news for somebody tonight. 00:27:48.86\00:27:50.93 That's good news for somebody watching this program. 00:27:50.97\00:27:54.04 Tonight, this very moment that you're watching this program. 00:27:54.07\00:27:59.07 As I speak, in your mind you can say, Jesus, I'm sorry. 00:27:59.87\00:28:04.61 Jesus, I failed You. 00:28:04.65\00:28:06.72 Jesus, I let you down. 00:28:06.75\00:28:08.72 Jesus, I disappointed Your heart, but Your eternal love 00:28:08.75\00:28:12.99 would not let me go. 00:28:13.02\00:28:14.36 Your eternal love came and lived the perfect life 00:28:14.39\00:28:18.63 I should have lived, and died the death 00:28:18.69\00:28:21.83 that I should have died. 00:28:21.86\00:28:23.23 And, Lord, I come to You to receive that grace, 00:28:23.26\00:28:27.67 to receive that mercy. You see, 00:28:27.70\00:28:30.37 that One eternal sacrifice, the Lamb of God 00:28:34.78\00:28:39.21 that would die for our sins. 00:28:39.25\00:28:41.85 You know, there are many people that even when they're trying 00:28:46.45\00:28:49.82 to have reconciliation with another person, 00:28:49.86\00:28:52.09 they'll say something like this: You know, if I did anything 00:28:52.13\00:28:55.26 to hurt you, please forgive me. 00:28:55.33\00:28:57.13 Once you start with if, it's not a confession at all. 00:28:57.17\00:29:01.40 Well, if I've offended You, Oh God... 00:29:01.44\00:29:04.41 If, God, I sinned today, please forgive me. 00:29:04.44\00:29:07.91 Drop your if's. Get rid of the if's. 00:29:07.94\00:29:11.41 Simply come to God and acknowledge your guilt. 00:29:11.45\00:29:15.98 But somebody says, That would make me feel uncomfortable. 00:29:16.02\00:29:20.86 Bless your heart! Whether you feel uncomfortable 00:29:20.92\00:29:25.16 or not is not the issue. 00:29:25.19\00:29:26.53 You would feel more uncomfortable 00:29:26.56\00:29:28.30 if you don't confess. 00:29:28.33\00:29:29.66 You'd feel more guilty if you don't confess. 00:29:29.70\00:29:31.97 In barefaced repentance come to God. 00:29:32.00\00:29:35.37 Because, you know, you're never going to be 00:29:35.40\00:29:36.91 free from that guilt. 00:29:36.97\00:29:38.31 You're never going to be free from those condemning 00:29:38.34\00:29:40.51 voices in your brain unless you acknowledge that you failed, 00:29:40.54\00:29:44.11 unless you really clearly acknowledge your guilt. 00:29:44.15\00:29:46.75 And once you acknowledge that, once you acknowledge that, 00:29:46.78\00:29:50.49 then you can receive the gift of God, and eternal life in Christ. 00:29:50.52\00:29:53.36 Because, look, Romans 6:23. 00:29:53.39\00:29:55.56 Remember we read the first part of it earlier? It says: 00:29:55.59\00:29:58.16 You can never receive the gift unless you acknowledge the sin. 00:30:06.40\00:30:11.91 I was speaking in the Philippines, 00:30:11.94\00:30:15.14 way up outside of Legazpi City. 00:30:15.18\00:30:18.35 It was up in like a jungle area. 00:30:18.38\00:30:20.32 It was on an old dirt road. 00:30:20.35\00:30:22.38 And we put up a wooden table, and set up a lantern, 00:30:22.45\00:30:25.09 called the villagers, and they were sitting on the road. 00:30:25.12\00:30:27.92 And I was talking about Jesus, talking about 00:30:27.96\00:30:29.82 the gift of salvation. 00:30:29.86\00:30:31.19 And I really wanted them to understand 00:30:31.23\00:30:33.36 the gift of salvation. 00:30:33.40\00:30:34.96 And it seemed everything I was saying, they have this blank 00:30:35.00\00:30:38.40 look on their faces. 00:30:38.43\00:30:39.77 And I had something in my pocket. 00:30:39.80\00:30:41.67 I don't remember now whether it was a comb or a pen. 00:30:41.70\00:30:44.21 Let's say it was a pen, a real nice pen. 00:30:44.27\00:30:46.01 And I said, I need to offer this to them as a gift. 00:30:46.04\00:30:49.38 Maybe they'll understand the gift of salvation. 00:30:49.41\00:30:51.58 Took the pen out of my pocket. 00:30:51.61\00:30:53.55 A lot of little kids sitting there. 00:30:53.58\00:30:55.02 I said, Here's something for you. You want it? 00:30:55.05\00:30:57.45 Now they saw this big tall American coming, 00:30:57.49\00:30:59.75 and these little tiny Philippino children. 00:30:59.79\00:31:01.72 One boy got up, and I came to him and I said, 00:31:01.79\00:31:03.66 Do you want this? He was so shy he jumped up and ran 00:31:03.73\00:31:05.89 back into the jungle. 00:31:05.93\00:31:07.26 I went to another boy. 00:31:07.30\00:31:08.63 Hey, do you want this pen? 00:31:08.66\00:31:10.00 Jumped up and ran into the jungle. 00:31:10.03\00:31:11.37 Went up to another boy. 00:31:11.40\00:31:12.73 Do you want pen? He grabbed it out of my hand and ran. 00:31:12.77\00:31:14.60 And pretty soon the elders of the village said, Come back! 00:31:14.64\00:31:17.47 Come back! Come back! 00:31:17.51\00:31:18.84 So all the kids came back. 00:31:18.87\00:31:20.21 They gathered around me, and I said, Now, to the first boy. 00:31:20.24\00:31:21.78 Do you have the pen? 00:31:21.84\00:31:23.18 No, I don't have it sir. 00:31:23.21\00:31:24.55 I said to the next one, Do you have the pen? 00:31:24.58\00:31:26.58 No, I don't have it sir. 00:31:26.61\00:31:27.95 Said to the next one, Do you have the pen? 00:31:27.98\00:31:29.72 He kind of sheepishly pulls it out of his pocket 00:31:29.75\00:31:32.52 and said, I have the pen. 00:31:32.55\00:31:33.89 I said to the other two, Why does he have it and you don't? 00:31:33.92\00:31:36.86 They said, Well, because he took it. 00:31:36.89\00:31:39.39 I said, You can have it. 00:31:39.43\00:31:40.76 He can have that? It's a gift? 00:31:40.80\00:31:42.26 He can have it. Why don't you have it, boy? 00:31:42.30\00:31:45.30 I didn't take it. You can have the gift of salvation. 00:31:45.33\00:31:48.97 Reach out and take it. 00:31:49.00\00:31:51.01 Reach out and say, Jesus, I acknowledge my guilt. 00:31:51.04\00:31:53.98 Jesus' salvation is a gift. 00:31:54.01\00:31:56.11 It's not something I can earn. 00:31:56.14\00:31:57.65 Well, well, Pastor Mark, I'm going to become a Christian 00:31:57.68\00:32:01.12 and I'm going to go to church, and I'm going to pray, 00:32:01.15\00:32:03.69 and I'm going to be faithful in my offerings, and then can I 00:32:03.75\00:32:06.55 have the gift of salvation? 00:32:06.59\00:32:07.92 The Bible says, no, you can have it right now. 00:32:07.96\00:32:09.99 We do not do good works in order to be saved. 00:32:10.03\00:32:14.50 We do good works because we are saved. 00:32:14.53\00:32:17.40 We've come to Christ, and we've seen His love, and His grace, 00:32:17.43\00:32:21.24 and it has changed our lives. 00:32:21.27\00:32:23.57 The burden of guilt is gone. 00:32:30.01\00:32:32.11 We no longer are seized with that guilt that crushes out 00:32:32.15\00:32:36.72 the very joy of our life. 00:32:36.79\00:32:38.62 Look what Hebrews 9:14 says. 00:32:38.65\00:32:41.42 The Scripture is so plain. 00:32:52.60\00:32:54.20 If the blood of bulls and goats foreshadowed Christ, 00:32:56.77\00:33:01.64 when we meet the fulfillment, the One who all the shadows 00:33:01.68\00:33:06.51 of the Old Testament point forward to, we come to Him 00:33:06.55\00:33:10.45 and our life is changed. It says He can 00:33:10.49\00:33:13.09 Do you want your conscience cleaned? 00:33:18.73\00:33:21.03 There's many a man, and many a woman that would pay hundreds 00:33:21.06\00:33:26.33 of dollars to a counselor to get their conscience clean, 00:33:26.37\00:33:29.50 to get their head straight. 00:33:29.54\00:33:31.11 Jesus Christ can straighten out your head. 00:33:31.17\00:33:34.71 He can give you a clean conscience. 00:33:34.74\00:33:38.25 You can find in Christ the longing of your heart. 00:33:38.28\00:33:42.28 The guilt, the shame, the condemnation can be gone. 00:33:42.32\00:33:46.25 In this living Christ, Jesus can take away everything that 00:33:46.29\00:33:52.29 It is gone in Christ. 00:33:57.53\00:33:59.53 We no longer need to handle that. 00:33:59.57\00:34:02.00 This is the message of Scripture, and specifically the 00:34:02.04\00:34:04.81 message of the book of Revelation. 00:34:04.84\00:34:06.37 Twenty-seven times in the book of Revelation Jesus is 00:34:06.41\00:34:10.01 mentioned as the Lamb, the Lamb of God that takes away 00:34:10.05\00:34:13.82 our sin, the Lamb of God who reaches out in love to us, 00:34:13.88\00:34:17.62 the Lamb of God who forgives us, the blood of 00:34:17.65\00:34:20.76 Christ that changes us. 00:34:20.79\00:34:22.19 This Lamb that will triumph through love over the 00:34:22.22\00:34:25.53 principalities and powers of darkness. 00:34:25.56\00:34:27.56 This Lamb who will triumph through love over the 00:34:27.60\00:34:30.43 oppressive forces of evil. 00:34:30.47\00:34:31.80 This Lamb who will triumph through love over everything 00:34:31.83\00:34:35.90 that Satan throws at us. 00:34:35.94\00:34:37.54 The Lamb and the dragon fight. 00:34:37.57\00:34:39.31 There is only One who can take away our 00:34:41.34\00:34:42.84 shame, and that is Jesus. 00:34:42.88\00:34:44.81 One of the most amazing passages in all of Scripture. 00:34:46.88\00:34:51.02 For He, that is God, made Him, that was Christ, 00:34:51.05\00:34:55.06 who knew no sin... Did Jesus ever sin? Never! 00:34:55.12\00:34:59.09 Jesus became sin for us. 00:35:07.50\00:35:12.44 All of the guilt, all of the shame, all of the condemnation, 00:35:12.47\00:35:17.35 all of the horrible nature of sin was placed upon 00:35:17.38\00:35:21.92 Christ on the cross. 00:35:21.95\00:35:23.35 Now remember, the wages of sin is what everybody? 00:35:23.39\00:35:28.66 The wages of sin is death. 00:35:28.69\00:35:30.49 Is that physical death, or eternal death? 00:35:30.53\00:35:32.99 See, if the wages of sin is only physical death, 00:35:33.03\00:35:36.00 then you can live beyond eternally. 00:35:36.03\00:35:38.57 So the wages of sin must not only be physical death, 00:35:38.60\00:35:41.24 the consequence of sin is physical death, 00:35:41.27\00:35:44.11 but the ultimate wage of sin or the wages of sin, 00:35:44.14\00:35:47.71 that's eternal death. 00:35:47.74\00:35:49.08 That means you go into the grave and never, ever come out. 00:35:49.11\00:35:51.18 So when Christ hung on the cross, He bore the condemnation 00:35:51.21\00:35:55.98 of sin, and that's why when He cried out, My God, My God, 00:35:56.02\00:35:59.29 why has Thou forsaken Me? that the whole sin problem was 00:35:59.32\00:36:03.73 weighing on His back in the great controversy 00:36:03.76\00:36:05.76 between good and evil. 00:36:05.79\00:36:07.13 And although Jesus said, Destroy this body, and in three days 00:36:07.16\00:36:09.86 I'll raise it up again, when He hung on the cross He, 00:36:09.90\00:36:13.13 according to Hebrews 2:8 would taste death for every man, 00:36:13.17\00:36:16.81 He could not see Himself coming through the portals of the tomb. 00:36:16.87\00:36:20.11 That's why at the end of His life He made that statement 00:36:20.14\00:36:22.84 of faith: Father into Thy hands I commend My Spirit. 00:36:22.88\00:36:25.15 He had to trust God completely for the resurrection, 00:36:25.18\00:36:28.38 but all around Him was sin, and shame, and death. 00:36:28.42\00:36:31.25 And when Jesus hangs on that cross bearing the sins of 00:36:31.29\00:36:34.56 humanity, watch this point. 00:36:34.59\00:36:36.49 Don't miss this point. 00:36:36.52\00:36:37.86 Jesus Himself was willing, because of love to go into the 00:36:37.89\00:36:43.67 grave and never, ever, ever come out, if that was necessary 00:36:43.70\00:36:48.90 to pay the wages of sin for you and me. 00:36:48.94\00:36:51.54 It was like Jesus was saying this, I am willing to go into 00:36:51.57\00:36:55.34 the grave and be there for ever, and ever, and ever; 00:36:55.38\00:36:59.55 be separated from My Father for ever if that's what it takes 00:36:59.58\00:37:03.92 to save the human race. 00:37:03.95\00:37:05.29 There is nothing like this in any other religion in the world. 00:37:05.32\00:37:09.12 There's nothing like this in Hinduism. 00:37:09.16\00:37:11.19 There's nothing like this in Islam. 00:37:11.23\00:37:13.23 There's nothing like this in Shintuism. 00:37:13.26\00:37:15.30 There's nothing like this in Confucianism. 00:37:15.33\00:37:17.30 There is nothing like this in any religion of the 00:37:17.33\00:37:19.73 world except Christianity. 00:37:19.80\00:37:21.27 See, all religions say that human beings have failed, 00:37:21.30\00:37:26.41 and they need to get back to God. 00:37:26.44\00:37:28.38 And so most of them say you do that by good works, 00:37:28.41\00:37:31.71 you do that by performing works of charity, you do that by being 00:37:31.75\00:37:36.38 kind, but Christianity says that Christ came and He lived the 00:37:36.42\00:37:41.06 perfect life we should have lived. 00:37:41.09\00:37:42.96 He died the death on the cross, paying the 00:37:42.99\00:37:48.16 ransom price for our sin. 00:37:48.20\00:37:50.37 He died that death bearing all the guilt and shame of our sin. 00:37:50.40\00:37:54.64 He was willing to go into the grave, and be separated from 00:37:54.67\00:37:57.31 the Father forever and ever, if that's what it took to save 00:37:57.34\00:38:01.04 you and to save me. 00:38:01.08\00:38:02.41 The glory of the cross is the glory of a love that would 00:38:02.44\00:38:07.12 never, ever, ever let us go. 00:38:07.15\00:38:09.88 That's why Jesus cried out in 00:38:09.92\00:38:11.99 See, He could not see the Father's face. 00:38:20.00\00:38:23.37 He did not recognize the Father's love. 00:38:23.40\00:38:26.17 It was not that He had the feeling that His Father was 00:38:26.20\00:38:29.87 there embracing Him. 00:38:29.90\00:38:31.34 Sin was so evil, sin was so wicked, sin was so horrible 00:38:31.37\00:38:36.14 it was like Jesus' heart was ripped apart from the Father. 00:38:36.18\00:38:39.61 Why did He stay there? 00:38:39.65\00:38:41.65 It wasn't the physical pain, and the nails through His hands 00:38:41.68\00:38:45.09 that was excruciatingly agonizing. 00:38:45.12\00:38:48.12 It wasn't the crown of thorns upon His head. 00:38:48.16\00:38:50.33 It wasn't the horror, the physical crucifixion. 00:38:50.36\00:38:53.56 It wasn't the emotional sense of being betrayed. 00:38:53.60\00:38:56.83 It was the sense that His heart was ripped out from the Father. 00:38:56.87\00:39:00.94 Therefore He hung in love for you and me. 00:39:00.97\00:39:04.91 And all I can do is fall at His feet and worship Him. 00:39:04.94\00:39:09.78 All I can do is praise the Lamb that was slain from the 00:39:09.81\00:39:13.95 foundation of the world. 00:39:13.98\00:39:15.32 Because Jesus on that cross bore the corporate, consolidated 00:39:15.35\00:39:19.92 focused guilt of all humanity of every sin 00:39:19.95\00:39:24.03 that was ever committed. 00:39:24.06\00:39:25.86 He bore that shame, He bore the pain, the suffering, the death 00:39:25.89\00:39:29.46 of that sin that all humanity should have born in their own 00:39:29.50\00:39:34.50 bodies through eternal death. 00:39:34.54\00:39:36.57 Jesus bore that agony, and that's why Scripture says in 00:39:36.60\00:39:40.08 We are saved by grace through faith. 00:39:51.95\00:39:55.56 You can reach out and say, Jesus, Thank You so much! 00:39:55.59\00:39:58.66 Wouldn't it be a shame to turn our backs on that grace? 00:39:58.69\00:40:01.56 Wouldn't it be a shame to walk away from that love? 00:40:01.60\00:40:04.10 Wouldn't it be a shame to crucify Him again, and bring 00:40:04.13\00:40:08.67 pain to His heart by denying what He has done for us 00:40:08.70\00:40:13.17 on the cross of Calvary. 00:40:13.21\00:40:16.41 We can come and say, 00:40:16.44\00:40:18.31 That's the message of Revelation, 00:40:29.39\00:40:31.19 the message that you can come. The Bible says in 00:40:31.23\00:40:35.40 The life of the flesh is in the blood, and the shedding of His 00:40:44.27\00:40:47.24 blood speaks to us of love, a love that is so strong that He 00:40:47.28\00:40:53.72 would go for you into that grave, a love that reaches out 00:40:53.75\00:41:00.76 to you this very moment. 00:41:00.79\00:41:03.93 But somebody says, Pastor Mark, make it plain, make it simple. 00:41:03.96\00:41:07.96 I want to know tonight. 00:41:08.00\00:41:09.66 I want to know that I have eternal life 00:41:09.70\00:41:12.10 through Jesus Christ. 00:41:12.13\00:41:13.47 I want to know that my sins are forgiven. 00:41:13.50\00:41:15.30 I want to know that I am Christ's. 00:41:15.34\00:41:18.17 Can you make it plain? 00:41:18.21\00:41:19.54 Let me give you five simple steps to receive the gift of 00:41:19.57\00:41:23.11 salvation and eternal life. Here is the fact: 00:41:23.14\00:41:25.35 No matter what you feel about yourself, God doesn't feel 00:41:28.38\00:41:30.72 that way about you. 00:41:30.75\00:41:32.09 Jeremiah 31:3 says, I have loved you with an everlasting love. 00:41:32.12\00:41:34.99 First accept the fact that God loves you. 00:41:35.02\00:41:38.56 You've not turned on this presentation by accident. 00:41:44.43\00:41:47.64 You're not watching 3ABN by chance tonight. 00:41:47.67\00:41:50.61 God's love has drawn you here. 00:41:50.64\00:41:52.91 He loves you more than you ever know, and He loves you 00:41:52.94\00:41:55.34 more than you'll ever realize. 00:41:55.38\00:41:56.71 So, Fact 1., Step 1. of salvation, accept the fact 00:41:56.75\00:41:59.91 that God loves you. 00:41:59.95\00:42:01.28 All your good works are not going to save you, because one 00:42:05.32\00:42:07.69 sin is worthy of eternal death, and the wages of sin is death. 00:42:07.72\00:42:10.89 So all of us are sinners. 00:42:10.93\00:42:12.73 We are all on the same boat. 00:42:12.76\00:42:14.40 We all have a disease that's fatal. 00:42:14.43\00:42:16.23 But the Divine Physician has a cure. 00:42:16.26\00:42:19.13 Accept the fact that God loves you, and wants to save you. 00:42:19.17\00:42:21.90 What's the next word? 00:42:32.21\00:42:33.55 What is it everybody? 00:42:33.58\00:42:34.92 We cannot save ourself, but He can save us. 00:42:38.75\00:42:42.49 Now don't only believe Jesus can save you. 00:42:46.19\00:42:48.40 I've met a lot of people that are giving lectures all over 00:42:48.43\00:42:50.80 the world and they say, Oh, I believe Jesus can save me. 00:42:50.83\00:42:52.97 Do you believe He will save you? 00:42:53.00\00:42:54.80 There's a difference. 00:42:54.84\00:42:56.17 Grasp by faith that there's nothing more important to Christ 00:42:56.20\00:43:00.58 than your salvation. 00:43:00.61\00:43:01.94 Grasp by faith that Jesus is heaven's best gift given by the 00:43:01.98\00:43:07.12 Father to save you. 00:43:07.15\00:43:08.52 Accept by faith that God will send every angel is heaven 00:43:08.55\00:43:11.95 to beat back the powers of hell in your life if you'll let Him. 00:43:11.99\00:43:15.26 Accept by faith that God will fill your life with His 00:43:15.29\00:43:18.59 Holy Spirit, reveal to you through His Word His love. 00:43:18.63\00:43:21.86 Believe that not only Jesus can, but Jesus will save you. 00:43:21.90\00:43:26.60 For God... If you know it, wherever you 00:43:26.63\00:43:29.40 are, say it with me. 00:43:29.44\00:43:30.77 Now notice what the text says. 00:43:41.92\00:43:43.52 God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. 00:43:43.55\00:43:46.72 God gave because He wanted to redeem. 00:43:46.76\00:43:49.16 That whoever... the Bible does not say a rich man a poor man, 00:43:49.19\00:43:52.29 it says, whoever believes in Him. 00:43:52.33\00:43:54.43 Once we come to Christ, and know that He desires to save 00:43:58.93\00:44:03.71 us, come confess it. 00:44:03.74\00:44:05.07 Scripture says, If we confess our sins, 00:44:05.11\00:44:08.18 He is faithful and just... To do what? 00:44:08.21\00:44:11.21 If we do the confessing, He will do the forgiving. 00:44:14.78\00:44:19.05 So come, come with your Lamb, Jesus. 00:44:19.09\00:44:22.26 Believe that God loves you. 00:44:22.29\00:44:24.29 Accept the fact that you're a sinner, and without Him 00:44:24.33\00:44:27.93 you can't be saved. 00:44:27.96\00:44:29.30 Believe that not only does He want to save you, 00:44:29.33\00:44:33.47 but believe He will save you. 00:44:33.50\00:44:35.67 Come confessing, and as you confess, 00:44:35.70\00:44:38.91 See, once we confess our sins, the Living Christ enters our 00:44:44.15\00:44:48.12 life and, you know, once we confess our sins we then 00:44:48.15\00:44:52.65 can serve Him forever. 00:44:52.69\00:44:54.66 Let me introduce you to this Christ. 00:44:54.69\00:44:56.86 Let me introduce you to some people who've met this Christ. 00:44:56.89\00:45:00.66 Come with me on a journey, and meet a woman cast 00:45:00.70\00:45:03.93 at His feet in adultery. 00:45:03.97\00:45:05.47 Let her give the testimony to you this day. 00:45:05.50\00:45:09.57 What does she say, with a brightness in her eyes? 00:45:09.60\00:45:12.57 Now she's no longer condemned, she is forgiven. 00:45:12.61\00:45:16.18 Jesus, can You forgive sin? 00:45:16.21\00:45:18.81 Mary says, Yes, I was caught in adultery; in the very act. 00:45:18.85\00:45:22.78 But I came to Jesus. 00:45:22.82\00:45:24.15 Come, meet this Christ who touches the eyes of the blind, 00:45:24.19\00:45:27.36 that are open, and they receive new life in Christ. 00:45:27.39\00:45:30.43 Listen to the testimony of men and women 00:45:30.46\00:45:32.73 throughout the New Testament. 00:45:32.76\00:45:34.10 Look at the boys and girls that sit on His lap, and find in Him 00:45:34.13\00:45:37.70 such acceptance, such grace, such mercy, such love. 00:45:37.73\00:45:42.10 Come with me when He breaks the bread on the mountainside, 00:45:42.14\00:45:46.17 and the hillside of the Galilee, and look at 5,000 people 00:45:46.21\00:45:50.15 whose physical needs are met. 00:45:50.18\00:45:52.31 But not only that, they accept Him as the bread of life, 00:45:52.35\00:45:55.25 and they want to make Him king. 00:45:55.28\00:45:57.19 Come and meet this Jesus. 00:45:57.22\00:45:59.05 He walks through the valleys of Galilee. 00:45:59.09\00:46:03.19 He walks the cobblestone streets of Jerusalem. 00:46:03.22\00:46:06.23 He forgives, He changes, He heals, He transforms. 00:46:06.26\00:46:09.80 This is the Christ of the book of Revelation. 00:46:09.83\00:46:13.64 Come meet this Christ when the crowds gather around Him, 00:46:13.67\00:46:17.41 and sing Hosanna, Hosanna to His name! 00:46:17.44\00:46:20.21 Come meet this Christ. 00:46:20.24\00:46:22.28 He is not some mythical figure like King Arthur 00:46:22.31\00:46:26.82 and the Knights of the Round Table. 00:46:26.85\00:46:28.85 He is the living Christ. 00:46:28.88\00:46:30.49 He walked and talked, and lived and breathed, He healed 00:46:30.52\00:46:34.46 and forgave, and empowered, and delivered demoniacs. 00:46:34.49\00:46:37.89 He is the Lamb of God! 00:46:37.93\00:46:39.59 Come meet this Christ as He gives a woman back her son 00:46:39.63\00:46:43.97 again; He cares, He loves. 00:46:44.00\00:46:45.87 You say, What's God like? 00:46:45.90\00:46:47.24 Look at Jesus. Look at Jesus in the New Testament and see this 00:46:47.27\00:46:51.04 Christ walking among men and women, 00:46:51.07\00:46:53.21 and transforming their lives. 00:46:53.24\00:46:55.54 Look at this Christ. 00:46:55.58\00:46:57.05 Watch Him as a crown of thorns is jammed upon His head. 00:46:57.08\00:47:00.58 Look at the blood running down His face. 00:47:00.62\00:47:02.48 Why does He suffer the agony? 00:47:02.52\00:47:04.29 Watch with me as the Divine Son of God is beaten, 00:47:04.32\00:47:09.82 is whipped, is flagellated. 00:47:09.86\00:47:12.33 Watch the blood running down His back. 00:47:12.36\00:47:14.43 Why does He go through that? 00:47:14.46\00:47:16.00 The One worshipped by all the angels, the One at whose very 00:47:16.03\00:47:20.30 name angels sang praise, and praise, and praise, 00:47:20.34\00:47:24.37 the One that's existed with the Father from all eternity. 00:47:24.41\00:47:26.91 Why does He suffer so? 00:47:26.94\00:47:28.51 Come with me as they stretch out His hands, 00:47:28.54\00:47:32.05 and nail Him to a cross. 00:47:32.08\00:47:34.32 Watch as strong armed Roman soldiers drive those nails 00:47:34.35\00:47:40.09 through His hands and feet. 00:47:40.12\00:47:41.46 Why does He suffer so? 00:47:41.49\00:47:43.32 Come with me, come with me to that cross and see Him 00:47:43.36\00:47:49.86 hanging there baring the sins of all humanity. 00:47:49.90\00:47:53.90 Why is He doing it? 00:47:53.94\00:47:55.50 Because you are too precious, because you are too valuable, 00:47:55.54\00:48:01.04 because He does not want to live in heaven without you. 00:48:01.08\00:48:04.65 Heaven's not worth it for Him if you're not there. 00:48:04.68\00:48:09.52 And so He hangs there baring all the sin of humanity. 00:48:09.55\00:48:14.12 He hangs there on that cross. 00:48:14.16\00:48:17.19 For God so loved the world that...
