a particular text in the Bible

that has been a
quandary to many.

And this text has caused
so many to be uncomfortable.

just going to reveal the text,

but we are going to also
walk through the Word of God

to discover that
the perfect law of God

can be kept when Jesus
is abiding in our lives.

But tonight, as we lay the
foundation, let's read this

opening passage together.

If you want to wonder
what the world will be like

if the commandments of God
were completely obliterated,

just look at
the world around us.

Look at the world around us.

The decline, the
continual decline of our society

is an indication, over
and over, of the kind of world

that the devil would run
if he had complete control.

Before I go any further,
I want to thank the Lord

that He has not given
the devil complete control.

He is still holding the
world by the restraining power

of His Holy Spirit.

But when you think of
the continual indicators

in our society, the
rampant incarceration,

terrorism, violence, war,

continual treat
of nuclear exchange,

immorality that is
becoming more and more prominent

and popular, the
Bible gives us an indication

as to why the
world is the way it is.

Notice Isaiah the prophet.
00:10:58.49\00:10:59.89
He describes it very carefully.
00:10:59.92\00:11:02.39
And he points to
the transgression of
00:11:02.42\00:11:04.89
God's law as a result.
00:11:04.93\00:11:06.66
Isaiah 24:5, the Bible says...

So the point is, if the
law of God was never broken,

our world would not be in
the condition that it's in.

But because God's
law has been violated,

the world is in
the continual declining
00:11:36.59\00:11:38.59
condition that it's in.

And the sad reality is,
when sin becomes more popular

than the name of Jesus,
we know we are in trouble.

In the world today
if you want to be odd,

all you've got to
do is talk about Jesus.

If you want to fit into our
world today, all you've got to

do is fall in line,
in harmony, with the

dark things of our world.

But God has called us in the
midst of all of this darkness

to continue by His grace
to be a light in a dark world,

to show that, yes,
it is possible, by the

indwelling Christ, to live
in harmony with a perfect law.

When you think
about the world today,

let's go back a little
ways to the antediluvian world

that will give you
just a glimpse of how bad

it's going to get
before it gets better.

Genesis 6:5 tells
us in these words.

Speaking of the antediluvian
world in Noah's day.

Is it getting like that today?

When I read that, I did
a series not too long ago

called, Unclean
Spirits, on the occult

and the entertainment industry.

And I'm convinced that one
of the reasons why the world is

proliferated with
digital devices is, the devil
00:13:05.75\00:13:09.38
doesn't want to give
us a chance to think.

He wants the world and
its media to be in our face
00:13:12.62\00:13:15.66
all day long.

I mean, when you
drive around the world,

when you walk
through the malls...

I've seen some crazy videos
on YouTube of people walking and

falling into waterfalls.
00:13:23.80\00:13:26.20
We were in a country, I
forgot what country it was,

but then they said the
highest incidences of people
00:13:29.27\00:13:32.74
getting killed in
traffic accidents were people
00:13:32.77\00:13:35.44
walking into the
traffic while looking down
00:13:35.48\00:13:37.38
at their cell phones.
00:13:37.41\00:13:38.75
I was talking to two
young ladies in Orlando, Florida
00:13:40.05\00:13:42.95
not too long ago, and they asked
me after a sermon I preached,
00:13:43.25\00:13:46.52
"How can I get my life
back on track with Jesus?"
00:13:46.55\00:13:49.06
I said, "All you've got to
do is not listen to the music
00:13:49.09\00:13:52.23
and watch the things you do.
00:13:52.26\00:13:53.60
Just do it for one week.
00:13:53.63\00:13:54.96
Just put down your
cell phone for one week."
00:13:55.00\00:13:56.97
And they give me a look like
I told them to take their lives.

But the Lord, if the Lord cannot
communicate with our minds...

I believe one of the
reasons why digital devices...

And we're going from 4G to 5G.

Now let me make a point.

If you use it for the right
reason, God can be glorified.

Because we're using
it, 3ABN is using it

to communicate the gospel.

But if you are using it to have
your mind continually filled,

we're getting to the
place like it was in those days

where every intent of

And to show that our
world is getting like that,

we read the words of

And we're getting ready
for the coming of Jesus.

So we know that the world has
to get like it was in Noah's day

as an indicator that the coming
of the Lord is drawing near.

Now I'm not happy for the sin,
but I'm glad that the coming

of the Lord is drawing near.

There could be no sin

that preachers around the

world today have told
many of their congregations

that the law of God
is no longer impacting,

the law of God no longer exists,

or the law of God
was done away with.

And I said a few nights
ago, if you meet any preacher,

all you've got to do
to determine you're either

in the right place or the
wrong place is to read the
00:15:40.47\00:15:43.67
Ten Commandments
and ask the preacher,

"Are there any of
those commandments

you have a problem with?"

If they have a problem with
any of God's Ten Commandments,

you are in the wrong place.

Because the Bible
says in Romans 5:13...

In other words, you
can't get a speeding ticket

on the Autobahn in Germany.

Does anybody know
about the Autobahn?

No speed limit.

But you will get
a ticket in Phoenix.

Why? Because there
is a law against going

beyond a certain speed.

In other words, where there
is no prevention of that act,

then you will never
be guilty of that act.

Where there is no law,
where there are no laws,

the issues in the world today

happened in the very beginning.

The Bible tells us about
the Grim Reaper, Satan himself.

Meaning, the thoughts
that exist in our minds

that carry on to produce
a particularly sinful act.

I was talking to
someone not too long ago.

And you know, my
times just all run together

like melted chocolate.

So when I say,
"Not too long ago,"

it could have been a
week ago or a month ago.

But it was not too long
ago because I still remember.

But I was talking to someone who
was speaking about going to a

particular church, and I asked
some very key questions about

the church and what they taught.

And when I touched on
some very significant parts,

I mean, "Do they keep
the commandments of God?"
00:17:58.31\00:17:59.84
"Well yeah, but
not all of them."

I said, "Well, why
would you want to go there?"
00:18:02.04\00:18:03.38
"Well, you know, it's not really
that necessary to be saved."
00:18:03.41\00:18:05.88
And I thought to myself,
"So the commandments of God are

really not
necessary to be saved?"

"No. As long as you love Jesus."

One of the things that
we often walk into darkness

by saying is, "As
long as you love Jesus."

If we really love Jesus, we
will also love His commandments.

You can't love somebody
and violate the very thing

that they ask you to honor.

And the Bible makes
it very, very clear.

Where there is no law, there
can never be a transgression.

And even deeper than
that, Romans 6:23 says...

"The wages of sin is death."

So if there is
death, there has to be sin.

And if there is sin,
let's look at the next text.

So let's take that
back. Is there death?

impossible to keep a holy law

with an unholy nature?

It's not just a list of things

be in harmony with.

possible to keep the law of God

natures are regenerated,

Here's what the Bible

It's spiritual.

So when I hear a preacher...

He was the one that predicted...

famous in New York City.

But he was the one that
predicted a few years ago

that the world was
ending on May 22nd.

either May 22nd or May 23rd.
