about hesitant Harry Truman.

about the former president

But a lone resident of
Spirit Lake in Washington state

in the shadow
of Mount St. Helen.

Despite the vicious
rumblings beneath his feet

and all the warnings from the
U.S. Geological Survey station,

Harry Truman decided
to ignore the warnings.

And if you remember
when Mount St. Helen blew,

Harry was one of the
tragic loses in that crisis

that could have been avoided.

He chose to ignore the signs.

And today the only thing
that reminds us that Harry

lived there is a tombstone
reminding people of his

Well, you know, the sad
reality is, today with all the

signs around the
world, the Bible says to us,

things begin to come to pass

What should we do?

Harry received the warnings.

Harry felt the rumblings.

that the signs are as bad

By then the world will be over."

the world hasn't ended yet,

that look at what's happening

around us, and somehow
they think that these are just

incidental signs.

But in every age God has
a people that believe that

while these signs are
being ignored by the world

we can trust the Word of God.

The Word of God is clear.

Think about it.

These are days of war
and international conflict,

days of terrorism
and fearful hearts,

days of economic instability
and political uncertainty.

There was a time
that I would think about

who the next
president is going to be.

Can I look to the White House?

But tonight I don't
look to the White House.

I look to the right house.

The house that never failed.

King of kings makes the laws

people to stand firmly

tragic school shootings

When the world gets to the
place where going to school,

something that should
be normal, becomes fearful,

it's another indication
that our world is falling apart.

One other reason why I say,

"Thank God for
Christian education."

Because our
Christian schools thus far,

as we keep our
eyes fixed on Christ,

we're getting people ready, not
just for a life in this world,

but for the world to come.

Broken families,
crumbling marriages.

And then prophets on every hand;
those who firmly established

the accuracy of God's Word,
and those who predict things

found in God's Word.

Social status is no longer
the category to get us ready
