" 00:10:37.19\00:10:38.48 I was astounded. 00:10:40.48\00:10:41.85 Here was a woman I'd never met before and she's 00:10:41.88\00:10:43.64 calling me "honey". 00:10:43.67\00:10:44.96 She said, "Honey, where do you come from?" 00:10:46.38\00:10:50.49 I said, "I come from Australia. " 00:10:51.03\00:10:54.46 "Oh," she said, "that's wonderful. 00:10:54.49\00:10:56.51 Did you come by train or did you come by bus?" 00:10:56.54\00:10:59.53 I have never recovered. 00:11:04.65\00:11:06.46 Then, "No," I said, "actually madam, I came by plane. " 00:11:08.68\00:11:14.94 She said, "Isn't it dangerous coming by plane?" 00:11:14.97\00:11:18.50 I said, "Not nearly as dangerous as coming by bus or by train. " 00:11:19.14\00:11:23.70 I'd like to see all the Bibles here today. 00:11:28.52\00:11:31.01 Would you please hold up your Bibles? 00:11:31.04\00:11:33.27 Because we'll be using today, the holy Bible. 00:11:33.57\00:11:36.37 Hold them up high please. 00:11:36.40\00:11:38.00 And today, we turn off the cell phones 00:11:39.41\00:11:42.55 and we listen to the preaching of the Word of God 00:11:42.56\00:11:45.69 out of the Bible. 00:11:45.72\00:11:47.41 A great name in the United States of America is 00:11:49.30\00:11:52.45 H.M.S. Richards. 00:11:52.48\00:11:53.95 You know how he came to know the gospel? 00:11:54.67\00:11:57.78 When he was a little boy, he was always teasing his mother. 00:11:57.81\00:12:01.93 And his beautiful mother, beautiful, beautiful girl, 00:12:02.76\00:12:06.48 she said to him, "Harold, you're driving your 00:12:06.51\00:12:09.75 brother to distraction. 00:12:09.78\00:12:11.34 You've got to stop this. 00:12:11.37\00:12:12.67 He's always screaming and shouting. 00:12:12.70\00:12:14.30 You've got to stop this. " 00:12:14.33\00:12:15.97 And she said, "I want you to promise me, Harold, 00:12:17.10\00:12:20.06 that you're not going to do it anymore. " 00:12:20.07\00:12:21.66 So he said, "Mother, I promise you I'll stop 00:12:21.69\00:12:23.92 teasing my brother. " 00:12:23.95\00:12:24.94 But the words were scarcely out of his mouth 00:12:24.97\00:12:27.76 when his brother was screaming and throwing a tantrum. 00:12:27.79\00:12:30.59 So his mother said to him, this beautiful woman 00:12:31.65\00:12:35.01 who knew Jesus, she said, "Harold, if you ever 00:12:35.04\00:12:39.89 do it again, I'm not going to beat you. 00:12:39.90\00:12:44.68 You're going to beat me. " 00:12:44.69\00:12:46.16 He said, "Mother, I could never beat you. " 00:12:48.61\00:12:51.11 "Well," she said, "I've got to do something 00:12:51.14\00:12:54.06 because your brother is getting so upset. " 00:12:54.09\00:12:57.79 And she said, "Apparently, I have failed as a mother. 00:13:00.85\00:13:03.92 You'll have to beat me. " 00:13:04.42\00:13:06.15 He said, "Mother, I'll never do it again because 00:13:06.69\00:13:10.72 I could never have you beat me. " 00:13:10.75\00:13:13.05 Just a little while later, his brother was screaming 00:13:16.52\00:13:19.82 and throwing himself on the floor again. 00:13:19.83\00:13:21.91 And Harold's mother said to her boy, just a young boy, 00:13:25.33\00:13:29.62 she said, "Harold, I want you to go down to the back of the house 00:13:29.65\00:13:33.25 and go down to the creek and find one of those big reeds. 00:13:33.28\00:13:38.18 And get a big one and bring it up. " 00:13:38.21\00:13:40.86 So she sent her boy down and he came back a few minutes later 00:13:41.38\00:13:44.43 with a little thing. 00:13:44.44\00:13:45.79 She sent him back again. 00:13:46.95\00:13:48.58 And he came back with one a little bit bigger but too small. 00:13:48.61\00:13:52.40 And she sent him back until Harold Richards came back 00:13:52.43\00:13:55.92 with a great big rod. 00:13:55.95\00:13:57.59 And Harold Richards told the story of how his mother 00:13:59.86\00:14:03.24 took him, her boy, into the bedroom and sat on the bed 00:14:03.27\00:14:09.54 and bared her shoulders. 00:14:10.61\00:14:12.15 And she said, "Harold, beat me. " 00:14:12.81\00:14:14.89 He said, "Mother, I can't beat you. " 00:14:15.82\00:14:17.47 She said, "I'm you mother and I stand in the place 00:14:17.68\00:14:20.88 of God for you, my boy. 00:14:20.89\00:14:22.35 Obey your mother. Beat me. " 00:14:22.99\00:14:25.07 He said, "I can't beat you. " 00:14:25.10\00:14:26.63 She said, "I command you, beat me. " 00:14:27.70\00:14:30.75 He lifted up the rod and he tried to bring it down 00:14:31.30\00:14:34.69 upon his mother's bare back. 00:14:34.72\00:14:36.77 She said, "Harold, beat me. I tell you, beat me. " 00:14:37.98\00:14:42.28 And then H.M.S. Richards, the boy, fell down beside his mother 00:14:44.85\00:14:51.76 sobbing and crying. 00:14:52.33\00:14:54.27 And his mother put her arm around his shoulders 00:14:54.30\00:14:58.22 and told him the story of how the innocent was beaten 00:14:58.25\00:15:02.72 by the guilty with the guilty for the guilty 00:15:02.75\00:15:06.96 to bring us to God. 00:15:06.99\00:15:08.68 And that's when H.M.S. Richards got a glimpse of the gospel 00:15:09.76\00:15:14.70 of Jesus Christ. 00:15:14.73\00:15:16.33 And that's when H.M.S. Richards found Christ as his own 00:15:17.43\00:15:21.41 personal Savior. 00:15:21.42\00:15:23.06 If there had been no law, 00:15:25.92\00:15:31.11 H.M.S. Richards would never have gone 00:15:33.66\00:15:36.63 through that terrible thing. 00:15:36.66\00:15:38.20 You only have punishment, my friend, when the law 00:15:40.53\00:15:44.60 has been broken. 00:15:44.63\00:15:45.94 I want you to remember this. 00:15:46.89\00:15:48.34 You only have punishment, you only have a Savior 00:15:49.15\00:15:54.36 when the law of God has been broken. 00:15:54.39\00:15:57.92 And the Bible tells me that Jesus Christ is 00:15:58.79\00:16:02.53 our divine substitute. 00:16:02.56\00:16:04.97 The innocent One was not guilty but He was 00:16:05.56\00:16:10.30 treated as though He were guilty. 00:16:10.33\00:16:13.13 Beaten by the guilty for the guilty with the guilty 00:16:13.66\00:16:18.22 to bring us to God. 00:16:18.25\00:16:19.43 That is the story of the gospel. 00:16:19.46\00:16:21.84 And I would like you to take your Bibles and turn with me now 00:16:22.27\00:16:25.02 to the book of Galatians. 00:16:25.05\00:16:26.66 And you may wonder, what has this got to do with 00:16:27.22\00:16:30.11 the commandments of God. 00:16:30.14\00:16:31.14 It's got everything, my beloved friends, to do with it. 00:16:31.17\00:16:34.37 I want you to come over here to Galatians chapter 3 00:16:34.40\00:16:37.52 and verses 10 and onwards in the holy scriptures. 00:16:37.55\00:16:42.35 And this is reading from the words of the 00:16:42.38\00:16:45.13 prince of preachers, the apostle Paul. 00:16:45.16\00:16:48.25 Galatians chapter 3 and verses 10 and onwards. 00:16:48.28\00:16:51.99 And I want you to think this verse through. 00:16:52.02\00:16:54.32 And everybody turn in the Bible, please. 00:16:54.35\00:16:57.10 I'm an old fashioned Bible preacher. 00:16:57.13\00:16:59.49 "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse; 00:17:00.70\00:17:04.90 for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who does not continue 00:17:06.09\00:17:10.35 to do everything written in the book of the law. '" 00:17:10.38\00:17:13.43 And none of us have done all of those things that are written 00:17:13.46\00:17:16.42 in the book of the law. 00:17:16.45\00:17:17.65 "Clearly, no one is justified before God by the law. 00:17:18.47\00:17:23.89 Because the righteous will live... " How? 00:17:23.92\00:17:27.70 "... by faith. 00:17:27.73\00:17:29.52 The law is not based on faith. 00:17:29.53\00:17:31.78 On the contrary, the man who does these things 00:17:31.81\00:17:35.11 will live by them. " 00:17:35.14\00:17:36.73 But none of us, my friend, have done these things. 00:17:36.76\00:17:39.74 And verse 13 says, "Christ redeemed us from the curse 00:17:39.75\00:17:45.67 of the law by becoming... " 00:17:45.70\00:17:47.94 Say it with me. 00:17:47.97\00:17:48.97 "... by becoming a curse for us. 00:17:49.50\00:17:52.67 For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who is 00:17:52.70\00:17:56.90 hung on a tree. '" 00:17:56.93\00:17:58.50 Have you ever thought this through, my beloved 00:17:58.53\00:18:01.11 American friend, that the Son of God was punished for us. 00:18:01.14\00:18:06.86 I once preached a sermon, many years ago in Australia, 00:18:08.75\00:18:13.01 and I asked the audience, "Was Jesus punished?" 00:18:13.04\00:18:17.41 And they said, "Of course not. " 00:18:17.44\00:18:19.15 I said to them, "If He were not punished, then we certainly 00:18:20.05\00:18:24.40 shall be punished. " 00:18:24.41\00:18:25.81 And the Bible tells us, "Cursed is everyone who 00:18:27.21\00:18:30.73 is hung on a tree. " 00:18:30.76\00:18:31.77 It is because the law of God had been broken. 00:18:31.80\00:18:36.50 And we were a lost race of rebels that He came down 00:18:36.53\00:18:43.00 to this planet in rebellion and took our sin upon Himself 00:18:43.03\00:18:48.79 and was cursed for us. 00:18:48.82\00:18:51.11 How else do we understand the cry, His dying cry, 00:18:54.02\00:18:58.11 "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" 00:18:58.14\00:19:04.66 Because He was standing in my place 00:19:05.66\00:19:08.73 and standing in your place. 00:19:08.76\00:19:11.46 And He was standing in your place and my place 00:19:12.70\00:19:16.22 because the law of God, never forget it, 00:19:16.25\00:19:20.31 the law of God demanded justice and judgment. 00:19:20.34\00:19:25.77 And instead of the judgment and the justice falling upon me, 00:19:25.80\00:19:31.23 it fell upon Christ as He hung on the tree. 00:19:31.26\00:19:34.21 Listen to this. 00:19:37.65\00:19:39.39 And I say this to my beloved evangelical friends 00:19:39.42\00:19:44.56 as they watch this telecast. 00:19:44.59\00:19:47.49 Adventist Christians believe in the atoning sacrifice 00:19:47.52\00:19:54.54 of the Lord Jesus Christ. 00:19:54.57\00:19:56.66 And we also believe in the perpetuity of the law of God. 00:19:56.69\00:20:02.72 Listen to this. 00:20:03.90\00:20:05.09 The law, the moral law, is established more firmly 00:20:07.04\00:20:13.32 than if there had never been a sinner and never been a Calvary. 00:20:13.35\00:20:19.85 Calvary establishes these great wonderful amazing truths. 00:20:22.94\00:20:31.11 Number one, God loves you. 00:20:31.14\00:20:33.71 I want you to know that today as you watch this telecast. 00:20:34.87\00:20:38.04 I don't know who you are. 00:20:38.07\00:20:39.53 I don't know your circumstances. 00:20:40.00\00:20:41.87 I don't know your circumstances here today. 00:20:41.90\00:20:44.35 You may feel a million miles from God. 00:20:44.98\00:20:47.79 You may feel that the church doesn't care about you 00:20:47.82\00:20:50.57 and nobody cares about you. 00:20:50.60\00:20:53.02 I want you to know, God cares about you. 00:20:53.05\00:20:55.70 Jesus, the Son of God, was staked to the cross 00:20:56.46\00:21:00.64 and He wrote across that cross, the words, "I love you. " 00:21:00.65\00:21:05.33 You are never alone. You are never forgotten. 00:21:05.96\00:21:10.65 You are never isolated because God says from the cross, 00:21:10.68\00:21:15.60 "I love you. " 00:21:15.63\00:21:17.19 That's the first great truth. 00:21:17.22\00:21:19.25 And the second great truth is this; the atoning sacrifice 00:21:19.28\00:21:24.46 of our Lord Jesus Christ is completed. 00:21:24.47\00:21:29.43 When Jesus was dying, He cried out to His Father, 00:21:31.21\00:21:35.03 "My Father, it is finished. " 00:21:35.06\00:21:38.14 He didn't say, "It's just starting. " 00:21:38.17\00:21:40.00 He said, "It is finished. " 00:21:41.37\00:21:43.80 Because when He died on the cross, He paid in full 00:21:44.76\00:21:49.16 the penalty for the broken law of God. 00:21:49.19\00:21:52.82 It is finished. 00:21:54.04\00:21:55.50 And the atoning sacrifice was finished when He 00:21:56.27\00:21:59.12 cried out, "It is finished. " 00:21:59.15\00:22:00.95 And so the first truth, God loves you. 00:22:01.90\00:22:04.60 Number two, the atoning sacrifice is completed. 00:22:05.21\00:22:09.23 It's over, it is finished. 00:22:09.24\00:22:11.50 And number three, God's great law is eternal. 00:22:11.53\00:22:17.16 So my topic today is, The Ten Commandments. 00:22:19.57\00:22:24.06 There is, however... 00:22:26.49\00:22:30.09 Are you listening? 00:22:30.12\00:22:32.22 There is, however, confusion in Christendom. 00:22:32.25\00:22:39.09 Some tell us, and maybe you're one of those people out there 00:22:40.11\00:22:46.16 watching the telecast, some tell us the Ten Commandments 00:22:46.19\00:22:50.34 were nailed to the cross and the moral law is a yoke of bondage. 00:22:50.37\00:22:57.07 I've heard it over and over. 00:22:57.08\00:22:59.54 Many years ago in Australia, there was a certain preacher 00:23:01.21\00:23:06.41 who believed that the law was nailed to the cross. 00:23:06.44\00:23:09.67 He was preaching the commandments are abolished, 00:23:10.47\00:23:14.07 and he was going from city to city and he was challenging 00:23:14.10\00:23:20.06 every Adventist preacher he could find. 00:23:20.07\00:23:23.58 And he was holding tremendous public debates. 00:23:24.54\00:23:28.26 And he was putting forth powerful arguments, 00:23:28.27\00:23:31.75 he thought, to show that the moral law of God, 00:23:31.78\00:23:36.13 the Ten commandments, was nailed to the cross. 00:23:36.16\00:23:39.67 Then there came along a preacher by the name of 00:23:41.93\00:23:45.70 Pastor W.M.R. Scragg. 00:23:45.73\00:23:50.71 And he met this man. 00:23:51.97\00:23:54.08 And I'm going to show you now the argument that he used 00:23:55.12\00:23:59.35 to slay the dragon of antinomianism. 00:23:59.38\00:24:03.63 Antinomianism means, against the law of God. 00:24:04.79\00:24:10.78 I want to show you the arguments that he found in his Bible. 00:24:11.41\00:24:15.61 Maybe these arguments are going to be new to you today. 00:24:15.62\00:24:19.90 Therefore, you'll need to turn to the text. 00:24:19.93\00:24:23.20 I want you to come over here with me, please, 00:24:23.23\00:24:26.40 to Exodus 31 and verse 18. 00:24:26.43\00:24:28.97 Exodus chapter 31, now we're going to have 00:24:29.94\00:24:33.15 a little bit of theology. 00:24:33.18\00:24:35.46 Exodus chapter 31 and verse 18. 00:24:35.49\00:24:39.50 And it's a pleasant noise to hear the pages 00:24:39.53\00:24:42.71 of the Bible being turned. 00:24:42.74\00:24:45.04 In my church, we tell the folks we only guarantee the 00:24:45.97\00:24:50.69 salvation of those people who bring their Bibles to church. 00:24:50.72\00:24:54.61 And who leave their cell phones in the car. 00:24:56.49\00:24:59.62 Yea. 00:24:59.65\00:25:00.90 You're a good audience. Exodus 31 verse 18. 00:25:02.52\00:25:06.09 You're agreeing with me, so you have got to be a good audience. 00:25:06.12\00:25:09.08 Exodus 31 verse 18. 00:25:09.11\00:25:11.36 "When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, 00:25:11.39\00:25:15.30 He gave him the two tablets... " 00:25:15.31\00:25:17.49 Say it with me. 00:25:17.52\00:25:18.89 Come on, say it loud. 00:25:18.92\00:25:20.64 Come on, I want to hear you. 00:25:21.44\00:25:22.90 The two tablets of the what? 00:25:22.91\00:25:24.96 "... the two tablets of the Testimony. " 00:25:24.99\00:25:27.81 And the Bible tells me these were so special. 00:25:27.84\00:25:31.23 "The tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God. " 00:25:31.26\00:25:36.54 Now listen, listen carefully to this. 00:25:36.55\00:25:39.07 This is important. 00:25:40.24\00:25:42.38 It's a closed deal when you see this. 00:25:43.83\00:25:47.33 God gave to the Ten Commandments a special name. 00:25:48.56\00:25:53.87 He didn't just call them, the law. 00:25:55.12\00:25:57.72 Didn't do that. 00:25:58.44\00:25:59.85 He gave them a special name. 00:25:59.88\00:26:02.53 And God called them the Testimony. 00:26:02.56\00:26:05.58 Now listen to what I'm going to say because this truth 00:26:05.61\00:26:09.94 will stand against the forces of darkness. 00:26:09.97\00:26:14.35 Whenever the word "testimony" is used in connection 00:26:14.78\00:26:21.12 with the sanctuary, it refers only to one thing; 00:26:21.15\00:26:27.37 the Ten Commandments. 00:26:28.33\00:26:30.20 Including the fourth commandment, the Sabbath. 00:26:30.23\00:26:34.00 Now, I haven't gotten to the end of my argument yet. 00:26:34.03\00:26:36.89 Whenever the word "testimony"; now store this down in the 00:26:38.62\00:26:43.05 molecules of your mind. 00:26:43.08\00:26:44.56 One day this may save your soul. 00:26:45.58\00:26:47.76 Whenever the word "testimony" is used in connection 00:26:47.79\00:26:53.16 with the sanctuary, it refers to one thing. 00:26:53.19\00:26:57.26 It refers to the Ten Commandments, including the 00:26:57.27\00:27:00.74 fourth commandment that talks about the seventh day Sabbath. 00:27:00.77\00:27:04.43 It is the Testimony. 00:27:04.44\00:27:05.55 Let me give you some sample texts. 00:27:05.58\00:27:08.19 This will not be exhaustive. 00:27:08.22\00:27:09.88 Come to chapter 30 and verse 6 of the book of Exodus. 00:27:09.91\00:27:15.60 So now we're having just a little Bible study, you see. 00:27:16.94\00:27:19.53 I'm not preaching now, I'm just giving you a little Bible study. 00:27:19.56\00:27:23.14 Exodus 30 verse 6. 00:27:23.17\00:27:25.23 "Put the ark in front of the curtain that is before 00:27:25.26\00:27:29.21 the ark of the Testimony. " 00:27:29.24\00:27:32.48 When it says, "the ark of the Testimony," it means 00:27:32.51\00:27:35.43 the ark of what? 00:27:35.46\00:27:37.02 Come on, give me some feed back. 00:27:37.05\00:27:39.78 The ark of the Testimony means the ark of the Ten Commandments. 00:27:39.81\00:27:45.26 Come over here to 25 verse 16. 00:27:45.27\00:27:48.06 Chapter 25 verse 16. 00:27:48.09\00:27:52.25 "Then put in the ark the Testimony 00:27:52.88\00:27:56.44 that I will give you. " 00:27:56.45\00:27:58.06 God doesn't say, "Put in the ark the Ten Commandments. " 00:27:58.09\00:28:00.56 He says, "Put in the ark the Testimony. " 00:28:00.59\00:28:03.47 He's giving it a special name. 00:28:03.50\00:28:05.15 And if you come down to verse 22, "There above the cover 00:28:05.18\00:28:09.92 between the two cherubim that are over... " 00:28:09.95\00:28:12.58 Say it with me. 00:28:12.61\00:28:13.75 "... the ark of the Testimony. " 00:28:13.78\00:28:17.18 Come now to chapter 32:15, 16. 00:28:17.21\00:28:20.41 Chapter 32:15, 16. 00:28:20.42\00:28:23.92 God did this for a purpose. 00:28:25.10\00:28:27.13 He was trying to save our souls. 00:28:27.16\00:28:29.91 Come over here Exodus 32:15, 16. 00:28:29.94\00:28:33.57 "Moses turned and went down from the mountain 00:28:33.60\00:28:37.56 with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. 00:28:37.59\00:28:42.49 They were inscribed on both sides, front and back. 00:28:42.50\00:28:45.05 The tablets were the work of God, the writing was the 00:28:45.08\00:28:48.01 writing of God engraved on the Tablets. " 00:28:48.04\00:28:51.40 Look at me, let me have your eyes. 00:28:51.79\00:28:53.73 I want this to get into your mind. 00:28:54.49\00:28:56.08 Whenever the word "testimony" is used in connection with the 00:28:56.95\00:29:02.87 ark or the sanctuary, it refers to one thing; 00:29:02.90\00:29:07.20 the Ten Commandments. 00:29:08.09\00:29:09.58 Now the term "law" is a big word. 00:29:09.61\00:29:13.05 When the Bible talks about "law", it encompasses 00:29:13.68\00:29:17.84 many, many things. 00:29:17.85\00:29:19.38 And there are some texts in the Bible that seem to say that 00:29:19.91\00:29:24.12 the law was abolished. 00:29:24.15\00:29:25.73 That's true. 00:29:26.16\00:29:27.38 It actually says that, verses like that. 00:29:27.39\00:29:31.63 And so there's all this confusion. 00:29:33.47\00:29:35.32 But I want you to know this. 00:29:35.35\00:29:37.43 Whenever the word "testimony" is used in connection with 00:29:37.46\00:29:41.46 the sanctuary, it refers to one thing and one thing only. 00:29:41.49\00:29:46.39 The Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath. 00:29:46.42\00:29:50.06 Now come over here with me to, come over here to Deuteronomy. 00:29:50.09\00:29:53.92 This is where we'll find this text. 00:29:53.95\00:29:55.52 Deuteronomy 31:24, 25. 00:29:55.55\00:30:04.77 Now we're going to show you a text which is a contrast. 00:30:06.28\00:30:10.03 "After Moses finished writing in a book the words of this law, 00:30:11.21\00:30:18.75 from beginning to end, he gave this command to the Levites 00:30:18.78\00:30:23.45 who carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, 00:30:23.48\00:30:26.54 'Take this Book of the Law... '" and place it in the ark. 00:30:26.57\00:30:32.14 "... and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the 00:30:33.07\00:30:37.71 Lord your God. 00:30:37.74\00:30:39.27 There it will remain as a witness against you. " 00:30:39.30\00:30:43.04 I want to say to my beloved evangelical friends who 00:30:44.28\00:30:47.67 believe the Ten Commandments are done away with 00:30:47.70\00:30:50.63 and they say that Adventist Christians make a big deal of 00:30:50.66\00:30:56.18 separating the Book of the Law from the Ten Commandments, 00:30:56.21\00:31:00.23 the Testimony, I want to say to you my beloved friends; 00:31:00.26\00:31:04.06 we never did it, God did it. 00:31:04.09\00:31:06.07 God did it. 00:31:07.45\00:31:08.44 God said put the Ten Commandments, 00:31:08.84\00:31:11.50 the Testimony, in the ark. 00:31:11.53\00:31:14.28 But He said, take the Book of the Law and put it in... 00:31:14.31\00:31:18.76 No, He said put it beside the ark. 00:31:18.79\00:31:22.30 It says it in the NIV. 00:31:22.33\00:31:24.13 And so God made a difference between the Ten Commandments 00:31:25.59\00:31:29.01 and the rest of the law. 00:31:29.04\00:31:31.95 And remember this again, I'm teaching this now. 00:31:32.68\00:31:35.84 I'm just acting like a teacher. 00:31:35.87\00:31:37.57 Whenever the word "testimony", Hebrew word "eduth"; 00:31:37.58\00:31:42.75 whenever the Hebrew word "eduth" or the equivalent Greek word; 00:31:42.78\00:31:48.92 whenever the word "testimony", whenever it is used in 00:31:48.95\00:31:54.50 association with the sanctuary of God, it refers to one thing; 00:31:54.53\00:31:59.37 the Ten Commandments including, the fourth commandment 00:31:59.40\00:32:01.91 that tells us to keep the Sabbath. 00:32:01.92\00:32:03.71 Now, are you with me? 00:32:03.74\00:32:07.52 If I could show you some texts right at the very end of the 00:32:08.38\00:32:12.66 Bible this side of Calvary that talked about a sanctuary, 00:32:12.69\00:32:18.58 and an ark, and the testimony, that would be overwhelming 00:32:18.61\00:32:25.26 evidence, would it not. 00:32:25.29\00:32:26.86 Come now to the book of Revelation. 00:32:26.87\00:32:29.32 Written many, many years after Calvary. 00:32:29.35\00:32:32.53 Revelation chapter 11 and verse 19, for a start. 00:32:33.78\00:32:37.87 We're on solid ground here. 00:32:37.90\00:32:39.73 Revelation chapter 11 and verse 19, 00:32:39.76\00:32:43.25 dear hearts and gentle people. 00:32:43.26\00:32:44.90 Revelation 11 and verse 19, have you got the text? 00:32:46.06\00:32:49.40 "Then God's... " What does it say? 00:32:51.05\00:32:52.94 Come on, come on. Let me have some feedback. 00:32:53.74\00:32:55.50 "Then God's temple in heaven was opened... " 00:32:55.53\00:32:58.28 The Bible tells me there's a temple in heaven. 00:32:58.31\00:33:00.94 "... and within His temple were seen... " What? 00:33:00.97\00:33:04.09 So John looks up into glory, my friend, and he sees the temple. 00:33:05.08\00:33:11.52 And then he looks a little bit further and he sees 00:33:11.55\00:33:15.85 the ark of God. 00:33:15.88\00:33:18.22 Okay? 00:33:18.25\00:33:19.72 Now come over now to Revelation chapter 15 and verse 5. 00:33:19.75\00:33:23.65 Revelation chapter 15 and verse 5. 00:33:24.28\00:33:28.48 Have you got it? 00:33:28.51\00:33:29.51 Revelation 15 verse 5, "After this I looked, and in heaven, 00:33:29.54\00:33:34.75 the temple, that is the tabernacle 00:33:34.76\00:33:39.22 of the testimony, was opened. " 00:34:58.68\00:35:01.60 He looks up into glory in the last days and he sees the 00:35:01.63\00:35:07.58 Ten Commandments enshrined in the very heart of the temple. 00:35:07.61\00:35:12.68 And then he looks down upon this earth and he sees a people 00:35:12.71\00:35:17.32 who love Jesus and they keep the Ten Commandments. 00:35:17.35\00:35:20.80 Thus Pastor Scragg said, "I rest my case. " 00:35:24.55\00:35:30.99 And the other man was never heard from again. 00:35:33.70\00:35:36.65 This is a little bit of history. 00:35:36.68\00:35:39.56 Now listen to me. 00:35:42.92\00:35:44.67 Whatever law was abolished at the cross, whatever, 00:35:48.13\00:35:54.50 it was not the law of the Ten Commandments. 00:35:54.53\00:35:57.46 They are seen in glory at the end of time. 00:35:57.49\00:36:03.51 Now come over here to 1 John chapter 3 and verse 4. 00:36:03.54\00:36:08.35 1 John chapter 3 and verse 4. 00:36:08.38\00:36:13.72 1 John chapter 3 and verse 4. 00:36:15.51\00:36:19.53 And this is a text that you will know quite well. 00:36:19.56\00:36:22.49 1 John chapter 3 and verse 4. 00:36:22.52\00:36:25.28 It says, "Everyone who sins breaks the law.
