I would like to show
you how we can do that

out of the book of Daniel.

Now if you have
studied any of the prophecies,

you look in the
seventh chapter of Daniel,

there are four beasts.
00:17:09.14\00:17:11.42
The first was like a lion,

the second was like a bear,

the third was like a leopard,
00:17:18.01\00:17:20.36
and the fourth
was like a dragon.
00:17:20.39\00:17:23.19
From the scripture, studying
it, it's very clear that the
00:17:24.37\00:17:29.91
first beast represented Babylon.
00:17:29.94\00:17:32.35
Daniel the eight
chapter tells you point blank
00:17:33.61\00:17:37.97
that the next two kingdoms was
that of Medo-Persia and Greece.

When we come to the
fourth beast, the dragon,

when we come to that
beast we find that it...

Let's see if I

Ok the fourth beast, according
to the evidence of scripture

beast represented pagan Rome.

we know from the study
of history and scripture

represented the Germanic tribes
that came down and overran

the pagan Roman empire
and broke it into pieces.

But this afternoon, I want you
to look very carefully with me

at the little horn
because he says here,
00:19:16.51\00:19:19.64
"and another shall rise
after them," referring to this
00:19:19.67\00:19:23.71
little horn
that's going to come up.

"He shall be
different from the first ones

and shall subdue three kings. "
00:19:28.31\00:19:30.21
And then it goes on and says:

In those two texts,
God have given you and me

eight points of identification
so that we have no question
00:19:50.36\00:19:55.38
as to who this
little horn represents.

In fact, those eight
points will only fit one power.

If you take all
eight points, apply them,

they will only fit one power.

Those eight points are these.

Those eight points
identify that power.

those eight points with you

We know those ten were
the nations of Western Europe.

Therefore, I don't have to
go looking all over the world

where that little horn is to be.

I don't have to
go to South America,
00:21:33.48\00:21:35.53
I don't have to go to China.

I know that the little
horn has to come up among those

ten horns, or out
of Western Europe.

Let's go to the next one.

Telling us clearly that this
little horn had to come on the

scene of action
after those ten horns.

Those ten horns came
down on the Roman empire in
00:21:58.62\00:22:02.10
476 AD and broke it apart.
00:22:02.13\00:22:05.18
Therefore, this little horn has
to come on the scene of action
00:22:05.21\00:22:09.37
after 476 AD.

The scripture is clear on that.

What happened?
The Emperor Justinian.

Justinian has a problem
because in the city of Rome

the bishop of Rome is a
bishop by the name of Silverius.

Silverius is a Godly man.
00:22:27.80\00:22:30.13
He loves the Lord, tries to
do what God wants him to do.

But he will not have part
in the war that's going on
00:22:33.85\00:22:37.53
between Justinian and the Goths.
00:22:37.56\00:22:39.67
And so anytime Justinian's army
got close to the city of Rome
00:22:40.63\00:22:45.02
or the Goths got
close to the city of Rome,
00:22:45.05\00:22:47.93
he had the gates
closed and kept them out.
00:22:47.96\00:22:50.09
Justinian and his
general, Belisarius, had already
00:22:52.48\00:22:55.97
agreed that if they got
inside the city, they would
00:22:56.00\00:22:58.74
banish the bishop.

Well, through the
pleading of Justinian's wife,

Silverius opened the
gates of the city and let

Justinian's army in.

And when they got
inside, Belisarius banished him.

And Justinian took his
own puppet and placed him

on the seat of the bishop.

His name was Vigilius.

took Vigilius and put him on the

that the bishop of Rome

took hold of the scepter

and took the seat of Caesar.

And so all of a sudden you have
here in 538 AD, after 476 AD,

the little horn is established.

The ten tribes, these
were strictly political powers.

But now, all of a
sudden you have a power that

is totally and
distinctly different.

It is a religio-political power.

You have the union of
church and state coming together

and it is ruling, not
only in the matter of politics

but also in the
matter of religion.

So he was distinctly different.

Three of those Germanic
tribes; the Heruli, the Vandals,

and the Ostrogoths, in their
acceptance of Christianity...

early Christians saw them as

someone they could
take the gospel to.

Germanic tribes accepted

That's the reason Western
Europe is basically Christian.

But three of those tribes
accepted the concept of Arianism

Lead by the hand,
blind, to the city of Damascus,

taken to a man's
house by the name of Judas.

man by the name of Ananias,

and He tells him to
go find Saul of Tarsus.

Saul, the persecutor became the
apostle Paul to the gentiles.

determined upon
the Jewish people.
