Today's prayer topic
is one that we all need,

You know, in order
to discern as God would,

I have to learn to
think like God thinks

and to see
things through His eyes.

I need discernment because

I'm constantly in
danger of believing something

that sounds really good,

but doesn't quite match
up with what the Bible says.

I also need discernment
when I deal with other people.

I need to learn how to
see past someone's behavior

and see the real
reason for their reaction.

I know that without
that, I can't help them

because I'm always reacting back

which just makes things worse.

Another reason
that I need discernment

is because I'm
really good at rationalizing

and justifying
my own bad behavior.

And that means I'm
working against the Holy Spirit

in being self-righteous,
but I'm not alone.

he had a problem
with justification

in his own head.

So how do we gain discernment?

Good judgment,
proper perception.

by the grace of God
