01:12 The first part of the verse can help us understand, 01:15 it says, "I desire to do your will, O my God." 01:19 David didn't see God's law as a lot of rules 01:22 to make him unhappy. 01:23 He wanted to obey God's law 01:25 because he loved God and wanted to please Him. 01:29 Do you want to do God's will, tell Him so. 01:32 And He will help you live a life 01:34 that will make Him very happy. 01:37 "I desire to do Your will, O my God, 01:40 Your law is within my heart." 01:42 Psalm 40:8. 01:44 I desire to do Your will O my God 01:49 I desire to do Your will 01:53 I desire to do Your will O my God 01:58 Your law is within my heart 02:03 I desire to do Your will O my God 02:08 I desire to do Your will 02:13 I desire to do Your will O my God 02:18 Your law is within my heart 02:22 I desire to do Your will O my God 02:27 I desire to do Your will 02:32 I desire to do Your will O my God 02:37 Your law is within my heart 02:42 I desire to do Your will O my God 02:47 I desire to do Your will 02:52 I desire to do Your will O my God 02:56 Your law is within my heart 03:15 Our next verse is part of a proverb, 03:17 probably written by King Solomon. 03:20 Solomon prayed for wisdom, and God answered his prayer. 03:23 The Bible records many of Solomon's proverbs, 03:26 or wise sayings in the Book of Proverbs. 03:29 This one tells us that it is safe to trust God. 03:34 "Whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." 03:39 Proverbs 29:25. 03:41 Whoever trusts in the Lord Whoever trusts in the Lord 03:49 Whoever trusts in the Lord 03:53 Is kept safe Kept safe 03:58 Whoever trusts in the Lord Whoever trusts in the Lord 04:06 Whoever trusts in the Lord 04:09 Is kept safe Kept safe 04:14 Whoever trusts in the Whoever trusts in the 04:18 Whoever trusts in the Lord 04:20 Whoever trusts in the Whoever trusts in the 04:24 Whoever trusts in the Lord Is kept safe 04:30 Whoever trusts in the Whoever trusts in the 04:34 Whoever trusts in the Lord Whoever trusts in the 04:38 Whoever trusts in the Whoever trusts in the Lord 04:43 Is kept safe 04:57 The Bible tells a story about an eight-year-old king, 05:00 that's right. 05:01 Josiah became a king 05:03 when he was only eight years old. 05:05 King Josiah loved God, and was faithful to Him. 05:08 God had told the Israelites 05:10 that they should not worship any other gods. 05:12 So Josiah had the temple to the true God repaired, 05:16 and destroyed the temples of idols, 05:17 where some of the Israelites were worshipping false gods. 05:21 You may never be a king or queen, 05:23 but you can show God how much you love Him 05:25 by obeying Him and doing what He has asked you to do. 05:31 "If you love Me, you will obey what I command." 05:34 John 14:15. 05:37 If you love Me you will obey 05:41 You will obey what I command 05:45 If you love Me you will obey 05:49 What I command 05:53 If you love Me you will obey 05:58 You will obey what I command 06:02 If you love Me 06:04 You will obey what I command 06:10 If you love Me you will obey 06:14 You will obey what I command 06:18 If you love Me 06:21 You will obey what I command 06:27 If you love Me you will obey 06:31 You will obey what I command 06:35 If you love Me 06:37 You will obey what I command 06:43 If you love Me You will obey 06:47 You will obey what I command 06:52 If you love Me 06:54 You will obey what I command 07:11 Do you know anyone who has a bad temper? 07:14 It's kind of uncomfortable to be around someone like that, 07:16 isn't it? 07:18 You never know what you might say or do 07:20 that will make them angry? 07:21 Aren't you glad that God isn't like that? 07:24 The Bible says that God is slow to anger and quick to forgive. 07:27 That makes me love Him more. 07:29 How about you? 07:31 "The Lord is slow to anger, 07:34 abounding in love and forgiving sin 07:36 and rebellion." 07:37 Numbers 14:18. 07:38 The Lord is slow to anger 07:42 Abounding in love Abounding in love 07:50 And forgiving sin and rebellion 07:54 The Lord is slow to anger 07:58 Abounding in love Abounding in love 08:06 And forgiving sin and rebellion 08:10 The Lord is slow to anger 08:14 Abounding in love Abounding in love 08:21 And forgiving sin and rebellion 08:26 The Lord is slow to anger 08:29 Abounding in love Abounding in love 08:37 And forgiving sin and rebellion 08:55 Does God reward those who obey Him? 08:57 He sure does. 08:58 Think about Joseph. 09:00 When his master's wife told lies about him, 09:02 he was put in prison. 09:04 But he remained true to God and when he got out of prison, 09:07 he was given a very important job. 09:10 And how about Daniel, 09:11 he obeyed God even though he knew 09:13 he would be thrown into a den of lions. 09:15 But God protected Daniel from those lions, didn't He? 09:18 Listen to this promise. 09:21 "Those who honor Me I will honor." 09:24 1 Samuel 2:30. 09:26 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 09:30 I will honor I will honor 09:34 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 09:39 I will honor I will honor 09:43 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 09:47 I will honor I will honor 09:51 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 09:55 I will honor I will honor 09:59 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 10:03 I will honor I will honor 10:07 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 10:11 I will honor I will honor 10:15 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 10:20 I will honor I will honor 10:24 Those who honor Me Those who honor Me 10:28 I will honor I will honor 10:43 Have your friends ever made special plans 10:46 that they wouldn't tell you about? 10:48 It doesn't feel good to be left out, does it? 10:51 Well, did you know that God has let us know 10:53 what He is planning? 10:55 God has had many prophets, 10:57 special people who He told His plans to. 11:00 Then His prophets told others. 11:02 Noah prophesied about the flood. 11:05 Isaiah prophesied about Jesus' birth. 11:07 And John prophesied about Jesus' second coming. 11:11 Isn't it nice to know 11:12 that God loves you so much 11:14 that He has let you know His plans. 11:18 "Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing 11:20 without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets." 11:23 Amos 3:7. 11:25 Surely the Sovereign Lord 11:27 Does nothing without revealing His plan 11:30 To His servants the prophets 11:34 Surely the Sovereign Lord 11:37 Does nothing without revealing 11:39 His Plan to His servants the prophets 11:45 Surely the Sovereign Lord 11:47 Does nothing without revealing 11:49 His plan to His servants the prophets 11:55 Surely the Sovereign Lord 11:57 Does nothing without revealing 11:59 His plan to His servants the prophets 12:05 Surely the Sovereign Lord 12:07 Does nothing without revealing 12:09 His plan to His servants the prophets 12:15 Surely the Sovereign Lord 12:17 Does nothing without revealing 12:20 His plan to His servants the prophets 12:25 Surely the Sovereign Lord 12:27 Does nothing without revealing 12:30 His plan to His servants the prophets 12:35 Surely the Sovereign Lord 12:37 Does nothing without revealing 12:40 His plan to His servants the prophets 12:55 Has God ever held your hand? 12:57 Did you know that, He has promised, that He will. 13:00 You will probably never feel God's hand, 13:02 but whenever you're in trouble or whenever you're afraid, 13:06 remember the many promises that He has made to be with you 13:09 and help you. 13:10 Here is a special promise from the Book of Isaiah. 13:15 "I am the Lord, your God, 13:16 who takes hold of your right hand 13:18 and says to you, 'Do not fear, I will help you.'" 13:22 Isaiah 41:13 13:23 I am the Lord your God 13:27 Who takes hold of your right hand 13:31 And says to you 13:34 Do not fear I will help you 13:40 I am the Lord your God 13:44 Who takes hold of your right hand 13:48 And says to you 13:50 Do not fear I will help you 13:57 I am the Lord your God 14:00 Who takes hold of your right hand 14:04 And says to you 14:07 Do not fear I will help you 14:13 I am the Lord your God 14:17 Who takes hold of your right hand 14:21 And says to you 14:24 Do not fear I will help you 14:41 Has anyone ever told you about the Day of Judgment? 14:45 Some day we will each stand before God, 14:47 and He will look at the record books of heaven, 14:49 and see what we have done during our lives here on earth. 14:53 Does that sound kind of scary to you? 14:55 It shouldn't scare you, if you love Jesus. 14:58 The more we get to know Jesus, the more we will be like Him. 15:02 But the best news is, 15:04 that the more we get to know Jesus, 15:06 the better we will understand that His death on the cross 15:08 has saved us from our sin. 15:10 And if our sins are washed away by His sacrifice, 15:13 then we won't have anything to fear 15:15 on the Day of Judgment. 15:18 "God is love, 15:19 we will have confidence on the Day of Judgment, 15:22 because in this world we are like Him." 15:24 1 John 4:16, 17. 15:27 God is love God is love 15:32 We will have confidence On the Day of Judgment 15:36 Because in this world we are like Him Like Him 15:44 God is love God is love 15:49 We will have confidence On the Day of Judgment 15:54 Because in this world we are like Him 15:59 Like Him 16:02 God is love God is love 16:06 We will have confidence On the Day of Judgment 16:11 Because in this world we are like Him 16:16 Like Him 16:19 God is love God is love 16:23 We will have confidence On the Day of Judgment 16:28 Because in this world we are like Him 16:33 Like Him 16:47 I have a friend who goes everywhere I go, 16:50 and sees everything I do. 16:52 But I've never seen him. 16:54 You may wonder how I know he's there. 16:56 I've never heard him speak to me, 16:58 but I've spoken to him. 17:00 That sounds like a rather strange kind of friendship, 17:03 doesn't it? 17:04 My friend is my guardian angel, and you have one too. 17:08 It's nice to know that I'm never alone, 17:11 and the Bible promises that my angel will stay with me, 17:14 and deliver me from trouble. 17:17 "The angel of the Lord 17:19 encamps around those who fear Him, 17:21 and he delivers them." 17:22 Psalm 34:7. 17:24 The angel of the Lord encamps around 17:29 Those who fear him Who fear Him 17:34 And he delivers them 17:39 Delivers them 17:43 The angel of the Lord encamps around 17:48 Those who fear him Who fear Him 17:53 And he delivers them 17:58 Delivers them 18:03 The angel of the Lord encamps around 18:08 Those who fear him Who fear Him 18:13 And he delivers them 18:17 Delivers them 18:34 There are many stories in the Bible about people 18:36 who were at the right place at the right time. 18:38 But one of my favorites is the story of Esther. 18:42 She became queen in time to save the Jews 18:44 from being killed. 18:46 A wicked man in her country was mad at one man, 18:49 who was a Jew. 18:50 And he asked the king to have all the Jews killed, 18:53 because they were troublemakers. 18:55 King Ahasuerus agreed 18:56 not knowing that Queen Esther was a Jew. 18:59 Mordecai close relative of Queen Esther 19:02 asked her to go before the king, 19:04 and plead for him to save the Jewish people. 19:07 After fasting and prayer, Esther approached the king, 19:10 and the lives of her people were saved. 19:13 You may never be able to save the lives 19:15 of a large group of people like Esther did. 19:18 But if you give your heart to Jesus, 19:20 I'm sure He'll put you in the right place, 19:23 at just the right time, to do a special job for Him. 19:28 "Who knows but that you have come to royal position 19:32 for such a time as this?" 19:34 Esther 4:14. 19:36 Who knows but that you have come 19:39 To royal position 19:43 For such a time as this 19:46 For such a time as this 19:50 Who knows but that you have come 19:54 To royal position 19:57 For such a time as this 20:00 For such a time as this 20:05 Who knows but that you have come 20:08 To royal position 20:12 For such a time as this 20:15 For such a time as this 20:19 Who knows But that you have come 20:23 To royal position 20:26 For such a time as this 20:29 For such a time as this 20:34 Who knows but that you have come 20:37 To royal position 20:41 For such a time as this 20:44 For such a time as this 20:56 If you're choosing a team to play football, 20:59 softball, or basket ball, 21:01 you probably start by choosing the fastest runners, 21:04 the best catchers, 21:05 and the highest scoring shooters. 21:07 Well, in the game of life, 21:09 it's important to choose a good team too, 21:11 if you expect to win. 21:13 If God is not on your team, there's no way you can win. 21:16 But if He is, there is no way you can lose. 21:19 Listen to this. 21:21 "If God is for us, who can be against us." 21:25 Romans 8:31. 21:27 If God is for us 21:30 Who can be against us Who can be against us 21:36 If God is for us 21:39 Who can be against us Who can be against us 21:45 If God is for us 21:48 Who can be against us Who can be against us 21:54 If God is for us 21:57 Who can be against us Who can be against us 22:03 If God is for us 22:06 Who can be against us Who can be against us 22:12 If God is for us 22:15 Who can be against us Who can be against us 22:21 If God is for us 22:24 Who can be against us Who can be against us 22:30 If God is for us 22:33 Who can be against us Who can be against us 22:40 Who can be against us 22:56 Have you ever heard the expression, 22:58 many hands make light work? 23:00 It just means 23:02 that the more people you have working together, 23:03 the quicker you can get the job done. 23:06 God has given us a job to do, hasn't He? 23:09 He said that we are to go into all the world, 23:12 and tell people about Him. 23:14 And when the whole world knows about Jesus, 23:16 He will come and take us to heaven. 23:19 He could've given this job to the angels, 23:21 but He has chosen each of us to be workers with Him. 23:25 So let's get busy and get the job done, 23:27 so that we can go to our heavenly home. 23:31 "We are God's fellow workers." 23:34 1 Corinthians 3:9. 23:37 We are God's fellow workers Fellow workers Fellow workers 23:43 We are God's fellow workers We are God's fellow workers 23:48 We are God's fellow workers Fellow workers Fellow workers 23:54 We are God's fellow workers We are God's fellow workers 24:00 We are God's fellow workers Fellow workers Fellow workers 24:05 We are God's fellow workers We are God's fellow workers 24:11 We are God's fellow workers Fellow workers Fellow workers 24:17 We are God's fellow workers We are God's fellow workers 24:23 We are God's fellow workers 24:34 Do you remember the story of Job in the Bible? 24:37 He was a wealthy man, 24:39 but God allowed Satan to test Job 24:41 by causing all kinds of troubles to come his way. 24:45 His children and servants were all killed, 24:47 and his animals were stolen, 24:49 and Job suffered from terrible sores 24:51 all over his body. 24:53 God has not promised to keep us from suffering, 24:56 but He has promised 24:57 that He will be with us in our suffering, 24:59 and that He will bless us for being faithful to Him. 25:03 Job was faithful, and the Bible says 25:06 that the Lord blessed him 25:07 and he had twice as much as before. 25:10 Remember this promise, 25:11 no matter what bad things happen to you. 25:16 "I will be with him in trouble, 25:17 I will deliver him and honor him." 25:19 Psalm 91:15. 25:22 I will be with him in trouble 25:27 I will deliver him and honor him 25:31 I will be with him in trouble 25:36 I will deliver him and honor him 25:41 I will be with him in trouble 25:46 I will deliver him and honor him 25:51 I will be with him in trouble 25:55 I will deliver him and honor him 26:01 I will be with him in trouble 26:05 I will deliver him and honor him 26:10 I will be with him in trouble 26:14 I will deliver him and honor him |
