00:04 "Plant a Seed" 00:06 with Steve and Judy Evenson. 00:15 Plant a seed, watch it grow 00:19 You will reap what you sow 00:22 Plant God's Word today It will watch your way 00:26 Plant a seed, watch it grow 00:30 Plant God's Word in your heart 00:33 Then the growing will start 00:37 If you plant a seed growth is guaranteed 00:40 Plant God's Word in your heart 00:44 Plant a seed, watch it grow 00:48 You will reap what you sow 00:51 Plant God's Word today It will watch your way 00:55 Plant a seed, watch it grow 01:06 Do your parents give you everything you ask for? 01:09 I hope not. 01:11 That may sound kind of strange 01:12 but sometimes as children we ask for things 01:16 that our parents know wouldn't be good for us. 01:19 It's the same way with God. 01:21 He has promised to give us what we ask for. 01:24 But He also says, 01:26 "We should ask for His will to be done." 01:29 He will always give us what's best for us. 01:32 We can trust God to keep His promises. 01:37 "Ask and it will be given to you, 01:39 seek and you will find, 01:41 knock and the door will be opened to you." 01:43 Matthew 7:7. 01:46 Ask and it will be given to you 01:50 Seek and you will find 01:55 Knock 01:57 And the door will be opened 02:02 To you 02:05 Ask and it will be given to you 02:10 Seek and you will find 02:15 Knock 02:16 And the door will be opened 02:21 To you 02:24 Ask and it will be given to you 02:29 Seek and you will find 02:34 Knock 02:36 And the door will be opened 02:40 To you 02:43 Ask and it will be given to you 02:48 Seek and you will find 02:53 Knock 02:55 And the door will be opened 03:00 To you 03:18 Have you ever been afraid? 03:20 Then this verse is for you, because it promises us peace. 03:25 When Jesus made this promise to His disciples, 03:28 He wasn't saying they would never have any problems, 03:30 in fact, He promised that 03:33 there would be hard times ahead. 03:35 But He also said that God would always be with them. 03:39 Knowing that God is always watching 03:41 and that He hears and answers our prayers 03:44 gives us peace, 03:46 even when there is trouble all around. 03:51 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. 03:54 I do not give to you as the world gives. 03:57 Do not let your hearts be troubled 04:00 and do not be afraid." 04:01 John 14:27. 04:04 Peace I leave with you My peace I give you 04:09 I do not give to you 04:11 As the world gives 04:13 Do not let your hearts be troubled 04:18 And do not be afraid 04:23 Peace I leave with you My peace I give you 04:28 I do not give to you 04:30 As the world gives 04:33 Do not let your hearts be troubled 04:37 And do not be afraid 04:42 Peace I leave with you My peace I give you 04:47 I do not give to you 04:49 As the world gives 04:52 Do not let your hearts be troubled 04:56 And do not be afraid 05:01 Peace I leave with you My peace I give you 05:06 I do not give to you 05:09 As the world gives 05:11 Do not let your hearts be troubled 05:15 And do not be afraid 05:21 Do not be afraid 05:35 There is a story in Acts Chapter 16, 05:39 about Paul and Silas who were thrown into prison 05:41 because they cast an evil spirit 05:43 out of a young lady. 05:45 In prison they sang songs and prayed to God, 05:48 then an exciting thing happened. 05:51 There was a great earthquake 05:53 and the prison doors were opened. 05:54 The bands that held the prisoners were loosed. 05:58 The prison keeper was about to kill himself 06:00 because he thought all the prisoners had escaped, 06:02 when Paul told him not to harm himself 06:04 because they were all there. 06:07 The prison keeper was so impressed 06:09 that they have not run away. 06:11 Then he asks Paul and Silas 06:12 what he needed to do to be saved. 06:15 This was their answer. 06:17 "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." 06:21 Acts 16:31. 06:24 Believe in the Lord Jesus 06:28 Believe in the Lord Jesus 06:32 Believe in the Lord Jesus 06:36 And you will be saved 06:40 Believe in the Lord Jesus 06:44 Believe in the Lord Jesus 06:48 Believe in the Lord Jesus 06:52 And you will be saved 06:56 Believe in the Lord Jesus 07:01 Believe in the Lord Jesus 07:05 Believe in the Lord Jesus 07:09 And you will be saved 07:13 Believe in the Lord Jesus 07:17 Believe in the Lord Jesus 07:21 Believe in the Lord Jesus 07:25 And you will be saved 07:36 Paul was a great preacher. 07:38 He traveled and taught about Jesus in many cities. 07:42 There is one group of people who he preached to 07:44 that the Bible says were special. 07:46 They were the people of Berea. 07:48 Do you know why they are so special? 07:51 Acts 17:11 says, 07:52 that they were anxious to get the Word of God. 07:55 And as they studied the scriptures for themselves, 07:58 they wanted to know the truth from the Bible 08:01 and not just believe some preacher's opinion. 08:04 It's important for us to learn what the Bible says too, 08:07 so that we can know the truth. 08:10 "They examined the Scriptures every day 08:13 to see if what Paul said was true." 08:16 Acts 17:11. 08:17 They examined The Scriptures every day 08:23 Every day Every day 08:27 They examined The Scriptures every day 08:32 To see if what Paul said was true 08:36 They examined The Scriptures every day 08:42 Every day Every day 08:46 They examined The Scriptures every day 08:51 To see if what Paul said was true 08:56 They examined The Scriptures every day 09:01 Every day Every day 09:05 They examined The Scriptures every day 09:10 To see if what Paul said was true 09:15 They examined The Scriptures every day 09:20 Every day Every day 09:25 They examined The Scriptures every day 09:29 To see if what Paul said was true 09:46 The Bible tells us that by beholding we become changed. 09:51 That means that the things we look at 09:53 and listen to and think about change us. 09:57 If we want to become like Jesus, 10:00 we need to spend our time looking at things 10:02 that are beautiful, 10:04 listening to things that are pure and true 10:06 and thinking about things that are good. 10:10 I need to ask Jesus every day to help me to watch, 10:15 listen to and think about what He wants me to. 10:19 Maybe you would like to do that too. 10:22 "Whatever is true, whatever is noble... 10:25 think about such things." 10:27 Philippians 4:8. 10:30 Whatever is true Whatever is true 10:33 Whatever is noble Whatever is noble 10:37 Think Think About About 10:40 Such things Such things 10:43 Whatever is true Whatever is true 10:46 Whatever is noble Whatever is noble 10:50 Think Think About About 10:53 Such things Such things 10:56 Whatever is true Whatever is true 11:00 Whatever is noble Whatever is noble 11:03 Think Think About About 11:06 Such things Such things 11:09 Whatever is true Whatever is true 11:13 Whatever is noble Whatever is noble 11:16 Think Think About About 11:19 Such things Such things 11:23 Whatever is true Whatever is true 11:26 Whatever is noble Whatever is noble 11:29 Think Think About About 11:32 Such things Such things 11:36 Whatever is true Whatever is true 11:39 Whatever is noble Whatever is noble 11:42 Think Think About About 11:45 Such things Such things 11:56 At the beginning of Jesus' ministry, 11:58 He spent 40 days in the wilderness. 12:01 During that time Satan tempted Jesus 12:03 to do three things 12:04 to prove that He was a Son of God. 12:06 He tempted Him to make bread from stones 12:09 and to jump from the top of the temple. 12:12 The third temptation was for Jesus to bow down 12:14 and worship Satan. 12:16 Satan promised to give Jesus all the kingdoms of the world, 12:20 if He would just bow down and worship him. 12:24 Sometimes Satan promises us that we will be popular 12:27 or have a great time, 12:30 if we just do what he wants us to. 12:33 If we know what the Bible says, 12:36 we can resist temptation just like Jesus did. 12:40 "Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only." 12:43 Matthew 4:10. 12:45 Worship the Lord your God 12:50 Worship the Lord Worship the Lord 12:55 Worship the Lord your God 13:00 And serve Him only 13:05 Worship the Lord your God 13:10 Worship the Lord Worship the Lord 13:15 Worship the Lord your God 13:20 And serve Him only 13:25 Worship the Lord your God 13:30 Worship the Lord Worship the Lord 13:35 Worship the Lord your God 13:40 And serve Him only 13:45 Worship the Lord your God 13:50 Worship the Lord Worship the Lord 13:55 Worship the Lord your God 14:00 And serve Him only 14:18 The Book of Psalms is really a book of songs, 14:20 but we don't have the music for them. 14:22 But the words tell us something very important 14:24 that David learned, 14:26 something that we need to learn too. 14:28 There are many songs in the Book of Psalms 14:30 that talk about God being our refuge. 14:33 A refuge is a place of safety. 14:36 We're safe as long as we love Jesus. 14:39 That doesn't mean that nothing bad gonna happen to us, 14:41 it means that God can turn something bad 14:43 into something good, 14:45 and He will always give us what's best for us. 14:48 It's good to know that we're safe in His care. 14:52 "God is our refuge and strength, 14:54 an ever-present help in trouble." 14:57 Psalm 46:1. 14:59 God is our refuge and strength 15:03 God is our refuge and strength 15:07 God is our refuge and strength 15:11 An ever-present help in trouble 15:18 God is our refuge and strength 15:22 God is our refuge and strength 15:27 God is our refuge and strength 15:31 An ever-present help in trouble 15:38 God is our refuge and strength 15:42 God is our refuge and strength 15:46 God is our refuge and strength 15:50 An ever-present help in trouble 15:55 God is our refuge and strength 15:59 God is our refuge and strength 16:03 God is our refuge and strength 16:06 An ever-present help in trouble 16:25 I have a bad habit that you might have too. 16:28 Sometimes when I have something to do, 16:31 I procrastinate. 16:33 That's a big word, isn't it? 16:35 It just means that I say, I'll do it later. 16:38 Sometimes something that I could have done 16:39 in just a few minutes may not get done for weeks. 16:44 Usually, my procrastination doesn't cause any big problems. 16:48 But there is one thing in life that we all need to make sure, 16:51 we don't put off till tomorrow, 16:53 asking Jesus to come into our hearts 16:56 and make us like Him. 16:58 If you've never asked Jesus to be your savior, 17:01 now it's the time. 17:03 Then remember to ask Him again tomorrow and the next day. 17:07 Belonging to Jesus is something we have to choose every day. 17:12 "I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, 17:16 now is the day of salvation." 17:18 2 Corinthians 6:2. 17:20 I tell you, now is the time of God's favor 17:26 Now is the day of salvation 17:30 I tell you, now is the time of God's favor 17:35 Now is the day of salvation 17:39 I tell you, now is the time of God's favor 17:45 Now is the day of salvation 17:49 I tell you, now is the time of God's favor 17:55 Now is the day of salvation 17:58 I tell you, now is the time of God's favor 18:04 Now is the day of salvation 18:08 I tell you, now is the time of God's favor 18:14 Now is the day of salvation 18:18 I tell you, now is the time of God's favor 18:24 Now is the day of salvation 18:37 In Psalm 91:15, God has promised 18:40 that He will hear and answer us when we call to Him for help. 18:44 He also promises that He will be with us in trouble 18:47 and deliver us. 18:49 There have been times when I have asked God 18:51 to deliver me from trouble. 18:53 And He didn't seem to answer my prayer. 18:55 But after several days or weeks went by, 18:58 I could see that He had answered. 19:00 But not in the way I expected or wanted Him to. 19:04 That's why it's so important to put our trust in God, 19:07 believing that He will do what's best for us. 19:10 So when you are in trouble, ask Him to help you, 19:13 He'll always answer but may be not in a way 19:17 you would expect Him to. 19:19 "He will call upon me, 19:21 and I will answer him, 19:23 I will be with him in trouble, 19:25 I will deliver him and honor him." 19:27 Psalm 91:15. 19:30 He will call upon me 19:34 And I will answer him 19:37 I will be with him in trouble 19:44 I will deliver him 19:47 I will deliver him 19:51 And honor him 19:57 He will call upon me 20:01 And I will answer him 20:04 I will be with him in trouble 20:11 I will deliver him 20:15 I will deliver him 20:18 And honor him 20:24 He will call upon me 20:28 And I will answer him 20:31 I will be with him in trouble 20:38 I will deliver him 20:42 I will deliver him 20:45 And honor him 21:03 What do we have to do to have our sins forgiven? 21:07 I have heard stories about people 21:09 who think that they have to beat themselves 21:11 or take a long journey to a special place. 21:15 The Bible doesn't teach that. 21:17 The Bible says we need to ask God to forgive us, 21:20 but that's not all. 21:22 Jesus said, "If we want God to forgive us, 21:25 we need to forgive those who sin against us." 21:29 Sometimes it's hard to forgive, but if we ask Jesus to help us, 21:35 He will. 21:36 "If you forgive men when they sin against you, 21:39 your heavenly Father will also forgive you." 21:41 Matthew 6:14. 21:43 If you forgive men When they sin against you 21:49 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 21:55 If you forgive men When they sin against you 22:00 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 22:06 If you forgive men When they sin against you 22:11 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 22:17 If you forgive men When they sin against you 22:22 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 22:28 If you forgive men When they sin against you 22:34 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 22:39 If you forgive men When they sin against you 22:45 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 22:50 If you forgive men When they sin against you 22:56 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 23:01 If you forgive men When they sin against you 23:07 Your heavenly Father Will also forgive you 23:22 Have you ever done anything 23:24 that you wish God didn't know about? 23:26 I have. 23:27 We may be able to hide some things from our parents, 23:29 but God sees everything we do, doesn't He? 23:33 That's okay, 23:34 because when we ask Him to forgive us, 23:36 He buries our sins in the deepest sea. 23:39 And He removes them from us, 23:41 as far as the east is from the west. 23:43 That's a long ways. 23:45 We need to ask Him each day to forgive us 23:48 and accept Jesus' death on the cross 23:51 as payment for our sins. 23:53 If we're forgiven, 23:54 we don't need to fear God's judgment, do we? 23:59 "God will bring every deed into judgment, 24:01 including every hidden thing whether it is good or evil." 24:05 Ecclesiastes 12:14. 24:07 God will bring every deed into judgment 24:12 God will bring every deed into judgment 24:17 Including every hidden thing 24:19 Whether it is good or evil 24:26 God will bring every deed into judgment 24:31 God will bring every deed into judgment 24:35 Including every hidden thing 24:38 Whether it is good or evil 24:44 God will bring every deed into judgment 24:50 God will bring every deed into judgment 24:54 Including every hidden thing 24:57 Whether it is good or evil 25:04 God will bring every deed into judgment 25:09 God will bring every deed into judgment 25:13 Including every hidden thing 25:16 Whether it is good or evil 25:33 For thousands of years those who have loved Jesus 25:37 have been looking for His second coming. 25:39 He promised to come back and take us to heaven 25:42 and He will keep His promise. 25:44 Can you imagine the excitement when He finally comes again? 25:49 Even though, Jesus made that promise 25:51 a long time ago, 25:53 we need to continue to believe Him 25:55 and He will save us. 25:57 "This is our God, we trusted in Him, 26:00 and He saved us." Isaiah 25:9. 26:03 This is our God We trusted in Him 26:08 We trusted in Him We trusted in Him 26:13 This is our God We trusted in Him 26:17 And He saved us 26:22 This is our God We trusted in Him 26:26 We trusted in Him We trusted in Him 26:31 This is our God We trusted in Him 26:35 And He saved us 26:41 This is our God We trusted in Him 26:45 We trusted in Him We trusted in Him 26:50 This is our God We trusted in Him 26:55 And He saved us 27:07 Do spending forever in heaven sound good to you? 27:11 What will you do forever? 27:14 I believe there would be many exciting things 27:16 to do in heaven, 27:17 but you know what I want to do first? 27:19 I want to talk to Jesus and thank Him for giving me 27:23 eternal life. 27:24 If we take the time to get to know Jesus 27:27 by reading the Bible and talking to Him in prayer, 27:29 He will become our best friend. 27:32 Jesus wants to be your best friend, 27:35 and He wants you to be with Him in heaven forever. 27:40 "I will come back and take you to be with me 27:43 that you also may be where I am." 27:45 John 14:3. 27:48 I will come back 27:52 And take you to be with me 27:56 That you also may be 28:00 Where I am 28:04 I will come back 28:09 And take you to be with me 28:12 That you also may be 28:17 Where I am 28:21 I will come back 28:25 And take you to be with me 28:29 That you also may be 28:33 Where I am |
