I think that too often we're
almost oblivious to the blessing

that praise can be in our walk
with God. We just underestimate

its power. People who might not

musical might be inclined to
figure that it's best to just

and those who are musical might

tend to overlook the role of
music as a weapon in spiritual

warfare. But praise to God is a
powerful weapon to particularly

set us free from the emotional
prison of anger or bitterness

or self-pity or discouragement.
When we're feeling really down,

when things look very bleak,
when we've been treated wrongly

and we're feeling bitter and
resentful or when we're facing

a situation that makes us scared
about the future, if we will

praise our savior, then the fear

power over us. And I don't say

very simplistic and there've

been plenty of times in my life
when it seems laughable that the

enormity of what I'm facing
could be handled by singing

praise to God. But then I think
sometimes about the story of

Naaman when the prophet told him
to go dip in the Jordan River

seven times in order to be cured
of leprosy. Naaman almost didn't

try that because it seemed
so absurdly simple to him.

He almost went on throughout
life with this crippling

incurable disease because
the cure seemed too ridiculous.

Don't make the same mistake that
Naaman almost made. Ask the Holy
