through an earthquake before,

We come from the
East Coast in New England.

And so earthquakes
were quite foreign for us.

Hurricanes,
yes, earthquakes, no.

The difference between a
hurricanes and an earthquake

is hurricanes are predictable,
earthquakes are not.

My wife and I were
sleeping that evening in 1994

and the bed began to shake

and it was not
because I rolled over.

I immediately recognized
that something was unusual,

we were going
through an earthquake.

And pictures on
the wall began to fall,

Immediately we got our son

When the earthquake was

tomatoes and jars of peaches

had fall on the floor,
they were smashed everywhere.

Our hearts were
broken as much as that glass.

the glass at 4 or 5 o' clock

in the morning, mind
you and found some jars

and they weren't creaked.

wonderful, praise the Lord.

I noticed some
very interesting things.

dies in that earthquake

buildings falling on them

what was called the fear
that gripped peoples heart

and he gave a
medical explanation.

And this is what
the good doctor said,

Fear is deadly.

These people that died that day,

of fear around today.

hearts are gripped with fear.

a larger conflict

Americans are afraid tonight.

They look out over the economy,

and there's a
great deal of fear.

When you have a national debt

trillion, people are afraid.

Unemployment rates are
high, people are afraid.

There are parents that

and these parents are afraid.

mentally unstable young man

school, started shooting

five years old are gunned down.

School violence is on the
rise, crime is on the rise.

We might call this
America, the anxious.

We might call it
America's anxiety attack.

Because people
are seized with fear,

gripped with anxiety,
filled with stress intention

turning to antidepressant.

antidepressant drugs today.
