There is a river and it flows from deep within, 00:01:40.49\00:01:59.20 There is a fountain that frees the soul from sin. 00:01:59.21\00:02:15.72 Come to this water, there is a vast supply. 00:02:16.87\00:02:34.87 There is a river that never shall run dry. 00:02:34.88\00:02:51.53 And there was a thirsty woman 00:02:51.54\00:02:59.82 she was drawing from a well, 00:03:00.78\00:03:09.93 See her life, it was ruined and wasted, 00:03:10.55\00:03:19.62 and her soul was bound for hell. 00:03:19.98\00:03:27.18 Oh but then she met the Master 00:03:29.61\00:03:38.79 and he told of her her sins, 00:03:39.13\00:03:48.48 And he said if you drink this water, 00:03:48.49\00:03:57.73 you'll never thirst again. 00:03:57.74\00:04:08.70 There is a river and it flows from deep within, 00:04:09.19\00:04:28.21 There is a fountain that frees the soul from sin. 00:04:28.22\00:04:45.41 Come to this water, there is a vast supply. 00:04:45.42\00:05:05.00 There is a river that never shall run dry. 00:05:05.01\00:05:30.40 In the 1998 Charles Le-Morzellec 00:05:32.69\00:05:35.62 was living happily in the suburban Washington DC, 00:05:35.63\00:05:38.84 but he felt impress to go overseas 00:05:39.70\00:05:41.55 and take a look what was out there, 00:05:41.56\00:05:43.37 what country did you go to? 00:05:45.28\00:05:46.33 I went to Haiti. Well no I mean I'm not counting 00:07:23.95\00:07:25.81 all the people; I'm talking the extra people 00:07:25.82\00:07:27.57 the refugee, oh okay. So, if you figure everything 00:07:27.58\00:07:30.43 we are closer to 1000 you know. 00:07:30.44\00:07:32.02 Wow! We are greeted there by 00:08:14.76\00:08:17.96 the children of Eden Garden, a wonderful 00:08:17.97\00:08:20.83 reunion after 9 months since our last visit. 00:08:20.84\00:08:23.84 In our short time here we will drill a well 00:08:25.39\00:08:27.98 to provide clean water to the orphanage 00:08:27.99\00:08:30.24 and neighboring community. 00:08:30.53\00:08:31.84 We will also begin medical assessments on every 00:08:33.21\00:08:35.74 child at Eden Garden Orphanage, 00:08:35.75\00:08:37.45 and develop a process for future 00:08:37.96\00:08:40.22 medical mission trips. As finally we will focus on 00:08:40.23\00:08:44.42 developing relationships with key organizations 00:08:44.43\00:08:47.51 and hospitals to ensure that long term food 00:08:47.52\00:08:51.03 and health care needs are provided for the 00:08:51.04\00:08:53.31 children of Eden Garden. Even when water is 00:08:53.32\00:08:57.60 collected 90% of all the water that is available 00:08:57.61\00:09:00.82 is not clean. If you are lucky and have money 00:09:01.55\00:09:06.07 to stand in line for a jug of water, 00:09:06.08\00:09:08.02 it still many not be clean. 00:09:08.62\00:09:10.12 Virtually every water source is shared with 00:09:11.56\00:09:14.20 wild animals and garbage. 00:09:14.21\00:09:16.22 After finishing the inventory, 00:09:17.05\00:09:18.59 the medical team decides to open the clinic 00:09:18.60\00:09:21.12 the following day. We have generator and 00:10:41.88\00:10:43.86 that doesn't work, we need solar system 00:10:43.87\00:10:46.24 and we know that to do solar system for the 00:10:46.97\00:10:48.37 compound it's about $40,000 to do it, 00:10:48.38\00:10:50.96 it's a big chunk of money but since you saw 00:10:51.53\00:10:53.79 that church give us well last Sabbath to give me 00:10:53.80\00:10:58.68 a challenge. I was there just couple of weeks 00:11:49.26\00:11:51.92 ago again and what I see there is, 00:11:51.93\00:11:55.19 it looks a bomb hit the city. The media has left; 00:11:55.20\00:12:00.05 there is not a lot of press that drives your 00:12:00.92\00:12:03.16 attention to it. You can go about your life 00:12:03.17\00:12:05.60 and forget about it, but I can tell you 00:12:05.61\00:12:07.18 it's still really, really tough in 00:12:07.91\00:12:11.22 Port-au-Prince, Haiti. 230,000 people killed, 00:12:11.23\00:12:15.00 300,000 injured, still over one-and-half million 00:12:15.67\00:12:20.17 people living in tents, and we are coming 00:12:20.18\00:12:22.08 into the rainy season. I've walked through some 00:12:22.09\00:12:24.52 of those tents with all water is running 00:12:24.53\00:12:26.69 through the area, you wouldn't wanna live 00:12:26.70\00:12:31.38 there, you wouldn't wanna be there. 00:12:31.39\00:12:33.05 But, I'm here to encourage you that 00:12:33.74\00:12:36.72 God's church is still positive, 00:12:36.73\00:12:39.36 in fact they have saying, at the church in Haiti 00:12:39.97\00:12:43.67 they say God is good all the time, 00:12:43.68\00:12:45.31 and all the time God is good. I don't even hear 00:12:45.32\00:12:48.90 that so much in North America, 00:12:48.91\00:12:51.31 but God is good all the time. 00:12:51.77\00:12:53.05 And you know Haiti has been kind of forgotten 00:12:53.75\00:12:57.31 here for the last few months, 00:12:57.32\00:12:59.09 life is tough for the people there. 00:12:59.47\00:13:01.34 The university campus, the Seventh-day Adventist 00:13:02.07\00:13:04.29 University there right after the earthquake 00:13:04.30\00:13:05.95 had about 25,000 displaced people on the campus. 00:13:05.96\00:13:09.49 They are down to about 17,000 now, 00:13:09.96\00:13:12.21 but it's still a major issue. I wanna show 00:13:12.75\00:13:16.64 you a couple of pictures, I know you saw videos, 00:13:16.65\00:13:20.15 you got a little idea this is the Presidential 00:13:20.16\00:13:22.13 Palace you probably seen in on the news, 00:13:22.14\00:13:23.98 I can tell you that they haven't fix it yet. 00:13:24.38\00:13:26.31 As you drive around town these are the types 00:13:26.89\00:13:29.20 of pictures you see pancake buildings 00:13:29.21\00:13:32.11 everywhere you turn. They are starting 00:13:32.53\00:13:35.08 to clean some of it up, but they have a 00:13:35.09\00:13:37.37 tremendously long ways to go. 00:13:37.38\00:13:39.28 This is a very interesting location 00:13:40.10\00:13:42.25 in Port-au-Prince where in the median between 00:13:42.26\00:13:44.13 the two lanes people are living in these shacks. 00:13:44.14\00:13:47.74 This is the Central Seventh-day Adventist 00:13:49.32\00:13:53.11 Church in Port-au-Prince auditorium it was 00:13:53.12\00:13:56.03 completely destroyed and the school behind 00:13:56.04\00:13:57.82 it was destroyed. Its, it was school for about 00:13:57.83\00:14:02.72 7 or 800 children. We put up one day church 00:14:02.73\00:14:06.94 frames there they are using up for school 00:14:07.38\00:14:09.05 and for church here as church on 00:14:09.06\00:14:10.47 Sabbath morning. We have actually three of these 00:14:10.48\00:14:13.08 side by side, by side there you look out at 00:14:13.09\00:14:15.45 platform out in front, and they have close 00:14:15.98\00:14:18.88 to a 1000 people there on some Sabbaths. 00:14:18.89\00:14:20.82 It's a place that you can hardly imagine. 00:14:21.36\00:14:25.18 We are moving right along to location called 00:14:26.88\00:14:29.76 Tabarre, this is the Seventh-day Adventist 00:14:29.77\00:14:32.66 Church as it looked after the earthquake. 00:14:32.67\00:14:34.50 Today we put a one day church, 00:14:35.85\00:14:37.65 it's actually two of them back to back because 00:14:37.66\00:14:39.67 its large congregation, I went in there on a 00:14:39.68\00:14:42.81 rainy evening couple of weeks ago and 00:14:42.82\00:14:45.36 they were filling a place with the members 00:14:45.37\00:14:48.50 for prayer meeting, worship and their lighting 00:14:48.97\00:14:52.44 system was two light bulbs, and they were all 00:14:52.45\00:14:55.19 smiling and happy, because God was blessing them. 00:14:55.20\00:14:58.61 It's, this is a church called Christwa, 00:14:59.15\00:15:04.89 I'm sure I didn't say that right, 00:15:05.68\00:15:07.57 it's the French pronunciation. 00:15:08.53\00:15:10.46 Just before the earthquake this 00:15:11.03\00:15:12.19 particular location had finished paying 00:15:12.20\00:15:14.24 for their church and it was destroyed. 00:15:14.25\00:15:15.97 Today we've put up a one day church there 00:15:16.62\00:15:18.91 and they are reaching out to their community, 00:15:18.92\00:15:20.46 they've already had over 20 baptisms 00:15:20.47\00:15:22.58 at this location, as a result of having a place 00:15:22.59\00:15:26.08 to bring people to have faith, confidence in God. 00:15:26.54\00:15:30.14 In fact if you walk through some of those 00:15:30.15\00:15:32.10 tents where people live, you will find people 00:15:32.49\00:15:36.06 with their arms lifted up to heaven, 00:15:36.07\00:15:37.42 repeating the Lord's prayer and when they 00:15:38.00\00:15:40.40 say give us this day our daily bread, 00:15:40.41\00:15:43.77 they mean it like non of us ever have, 00:15:44.20\00:15:46.30 I've seen that it's heartbreaking. 00:15:47.01\00:15:49.67 These churches this is another one Eden, 00:15:52.16\00:15:55.15 I think is the name of this particular location. 00:15:55.16\00:15:57.50 These simple churches, simple you've seen them, 00:15:59.46\00:16:01.52 you see the sample over here if you been 00:16:01.53\00:16:03.30 to the exhibit hall you've seen the church 00:16:03.31\00:16:05.26 you might say, I think these are pretty simple. 00:16:05.27\00:16:07.63 But, here is an interesting thing that's 00:16:08.85\00:16:10.27 we've learn there in Port-au-Prince, 00:16:10.28\00:16:12.45 the government, the community, 00:16:12.89\00:16:14.83 the other churches and the other schools 00:16:15.54\00:16:20.09 are saying something kind of funny about 00:16:20.59\00:16:22.94 the Adventist Church because of all 00:16:22.95\00:16:24.63 these building, they are saying those Adventists, 00:16:24.64\00:16:26.90 you know those Adventists they must 00:16:27.26\00:16:30.01 be rich, because they got those churches, 00:16:30.02\00:16:34.03 they got those schools, they've got to be rich. 00:16:34.51\00:16:36.97 As I mentioned this morning there is about 00:16:38.58\00:16:40.38 4000 people in Port-au-Prince meeting 00:16:40.39\00:16:42.45 in this churches and about 5000 children, 00:16:42.46\00:16:45.16 the interesting thing is that already 00:16:45.53\00:16:48.12 it's the end of school year right now, 00:16:48.70\00:16:49.90 they will started again in October. 00:16:49.91\00:16:51.11 They've already got lot more people signed up 00:16:51.83\00:16:54.26 because the parents want their children 00:16:54.27\00:16:56.43 in those schools, because it's better than 00:16:57.10\00:16:59.78 anything that they have. And they won't send 00:16:59.79\00:17:02.21 their children into a school that has a 00:17:02.22\00:17:03.94 concrete rough, it's phenomenal. 00:17:03.95\00:17:07.07 This is actually on the university campus right 00:17:08.80\00:17:11.44 here picture of part of the tent city that 00:17:11.45\00:17:17.00 they have 17,000 people. Things that happened 00:17:17.01\00:17:21.93 there is the wall around the hospital 00:17:21.94\00:17:24.82 on the university was pretty much collapsed. 00:17:24.83\00:17:27.89 This is the new wall that we are building 00:17:28.24\00:17:29.91 its 10 feet high, it will be two-and-half 00:17:30.39\00:17:33.97 kilometers around, now that's big building. 00:17:33.98\00:17:36.29 A few it's well over a mile almost a mile 00:17:37.13\00:17:39.68 and half around the campuses there. 00:17:39.69\00:17:42.50 And people are coming from all around 00:17:43.20\00:17:44.84 saying this is the best wall in the country 00:17:44.85\00:17:49.94 of the Haiti. Hey put rebar in it it's a trick, 00:17:49.95\00:17:53.64 just rebar. But, here on the campus is the 00:17:55.07\00:17:58.81 the President of the university there; 00:17:59.41\00:18:00.98 he is talking to a class room of children. 00:18:00.99\00:18:03.02 You can see that's a one day building, 00:18:03.03\00:18:06.41 these building we have three of these 00:18:06.42\00:18:07.96 side by side on the campus, 00:18:07.97\00:18:09.46 that's the president J.J. Pear Those buildings 00:18:09.47\00:18:14.41 are 156 feet long, those three side by side 00:18:14.42\00:18:18.64 they have about 1400 students in those 00:18:19.02\00:18:22.06 three buildings in two shifts morning and 00:18:22.07\00:18:24.77 afternoon secondary school and university. 00:18:24.78\00:18:28.09 This is surprisingly what you wouldn't expect; 00:18:30.71\00:18:33.43 this is the theological seminary on the 00:18:33.44\00:18:35.93 Adventist University in Port-au-Prince. 00:18:35.94\00:18:38.58 We are about to replace it as soon as we get 00:18:39.09\00:18:40.97 a few more containers across the border, 00:18:40.98\00:18:42.78 this will be replaced by a one day buildings 00:18:43.65\00:18:46.15 but this is the currently the theological seminary, 00:18:46.16\00:18:48.12 this is a school called Lesuse, it was a three 00:18:48.13\00:18:51.67 story building before the earthquake, 00:18:51.68\00:18:53.67 it completely collapse killed 22 students. 00:18:54.40\00:18:57.54 Today they are back to the same number 00:18:59.69\00:19:02.28 of students 850 students there, 00:19:02.29\00:19:04.46 and you might see the teacher out 00:19:05.12\00:19:07.34 there in front, excited young people, 00:19:07.35\00:19:11.23 they are positive as we walk through the 00:19:11.24\00:19:13.07 campus there. They already have 1100 00:19:13.08\00:19:15.95 signed up for next year. 00:19:15.96\00:19:17.03 So, you can see that God is working there 00:19:18.28\00:19:21.34 in Haiti; the church is holding together, 00:19:21.35\00:19:24.83 this is one of the primary class rooms 00:19:25.16\00:19:27.88 on the university campus, there in Port-au-Prince. 00:19:28.21\00:19:31.22 One of the things that surprised me 00:19:35.89\00:19:37.20 is I was talking to the secretary pastor Ligerra 00:19:38.00\00:19:41.10 of the Central Haiti Conference. 00:19:41.11\00:19:43.89 And he said since the earthquake the people 00:19:44.27\00:19:48.90 have really started working into their 00:19:48.91\00:19:51.25 communities binging people to church 00:19:51.26\00:19:53.23 especially the one day churches. 00:19:53.74\00:19:55.19 Last year 2009 they baptized 2000 people 00:19:55.54\00:19:58.77 in that conference 2009, since the earthquake 00:19:58.78\00:20:03.38 they've baptized 4000, praise the Lord, 4000. 00:20:03.39\00:20:09.24 Now again those people are living in a very 00:20:10.81\00:20:12.49 tough times, and when you are really tough 00:20:12.50\00:20:15.13 times you tend to turn to God, right. 00:20:15.14\00:20:16.96 It's that's certainly part of it; 00:20:18.06\00:20:19.65 the other part is they have a place to meet, 00:20:20.07\00:20:21.73 a place to form community and work 00:20:21.74\00:20:24.85 together and create hope. 00:20:24.86\00:20:26.59 It's exciting to me is that despite the 00:20:27.45\00:20:30.56 difficulties they have had, despite the earthquake, 00:20:30.57\00:20:32.68 despite the loss of family, and friends, 00:20:33.37\00:20:36.99 despite the fact that they mostly don't have 00:20:37.44\00:20:39.82 any food, and despite all the conditions 00:20:39.83\00:20:43.58 they live into the tents, despite all those things 00:20:43.59\00:20:46.62 those people are still praising God. 00:20:47.01\00:20:48.48 So, when you think of Haiti, think of the fact 00:20:49.69\00:20:53.53 that these people are still seeking God, 00:20:53.54\00:20:56.37 they are still strong Seventh-day Adventists, 00:20:56.86\00:20:59.16 they are still reaching out to their neighbors, 00:20:59.17\00:21:00.82 they are living in horrible conditions, 00:21:02.00\00:21:04.13 almost unbearable conditions that you can 00:21:04.74\00:21:06.80 hardly relate to. But, God is still their strength 00:21:06.81\00:21:09.93 and they are turning to him on a regular basis 00:21:10.68\00:21:12.95 for furthers uplifting support. 00:21:12.96\00:21:15.49 Don't forget Haiti, we are gonna still need 00:21:15.90\00:21:19.45 some support for schools and churches down there 00:21:19.46\00:21:22.56 and we hope that we can continue to work 00:21:23.02\00:21:25.40 in that country, you know education director 00:21:25.41\00:21:27.47 for the country use to be a Seventh-day Adventist, 00:21:27.48\00:21:30.50 and he has come to the university and ask 00:21:31.43\00:21:33.37 to use all of the class rooms on the campus 00:21:33.38\00:21:37.60 of the Adventist University for testing 00:21:38.05\00:21:41.42 that they do every summer for the children 00:21:41.43\00:21:43.12 because there are best classrooms 00:21:43.13\00:21:45.57 in Port-au-Prince isn't that interesting? 00:21:46.09\00:21:48.31 At the university or next to the university 00:21:49.76\00:21:52.31 is the Adventist hospital and in the hospital 00:21:52.32\00:21:55.08 we've also been able to do a couple of buildings 00:21:55.74\00:21:57.86 we've got what's still being used as emergency room, 00:21:57.87\00:22:00.58 and they also have a triage unit right there 00:22:01.20\00:22:03.92 as a one day building, so the hospital is using 00:22:04.26\00:22:08.01 these two. The thing that touched me was that 00:22:08.02\00:22:11.49 God knew when we were asked to send buildings 00:22:11.50\00:22:16.45 for shelter, he knew that they really need 00:22:16.46\00:22:18.67 a churches and schools, and I saw that with 00:22:18.68\00:22:21.34 my own eyes how God had led through this process. 00:22:21.35\00:22:24.31 I said praise God he really cares for his 00:22:24.85\00:22:27.28 people and he cares for his people in Haiti, 00:22:27.29\00:22:30.02 and I would certainly list your prayers and support 00:22:30.50\00:22:33.02 for your brothers and sisters 00:22:33.03\00:22:34.26 in the country of Haiti, thank you. 00:22:34.79\00:22:36.32 I boast not of works or tell of good deeds 00:22:53.24\00:22:58.89 For naught have I done to merit His grace 00:22:58.90\00:23:07.15 All glory and praise shall rest upon Him 00:23:07.56\00:23:14.65 So willing to die in my place 00:23:15.08\00:23:21.37 I will glory in the cross, In the cross 00:23:22.32\00:23:28.81 Lest His suffering all be in vain 00:23:28.82\00:23:36.30 I will weep no more for the cross that He bore 00:23:36.70\00:23:43.95 I will glory in the cross 00:23:43.96\00:23:50.88 My trophies and crowns, my robe stained with sin 00:23:56.03\00:24:02.50 Twas all that I had to lay at His feet 00:24:02.51\00:24:11.74 Unworthy to eat from the table of Life 00:24:11.75\00:24:19.06 Till Love made provision for me 00:24:19.07\00:24:26.55 I will glory in the cross, In the cross 00:24:26.56\00:24:33.63 Lest His suffering all be in vain 00:24:33.64\00:24:41.09 I will weep no more for the cross that He bore 00:24:41.10\00:24:48.89 I will glory I will glory 00:24:48.90\00:24:56.86 Glory, Glory in the cross. 00:24:56.87\00:25:11.62 Thank you so much for that beautiful number. 00:25:20.36\00:25:22.13 We love our young people don't we? 00:25:22.14\00:25:23.53 They are awesome. This afternoon I have 00:25:23.54\00:25:26.41 with me Brother David Canther 00:25:26.42\00:25:28.40 and Dr. Jason Shives. Oh man I tell you 00:26:16.02\00:26:18.26 it was a greatest blessing and a lot of patients 00:26:18.27\00:26:20.35 you see when you cook healthy meals, 00:26:20.36\00:26:22.53 right like the rig we have out here in the frame, 00:26:22.54\00:26:24.71 we have vegetarian meals, we cook all over 00:26:24.72\00:26:26.96 and vegan meals but at the hospital it became 00:26:26.97\00:26:30.35 known as the lighthouse on the hilltop because 00:26:30.36\00:26:33.50 the patients could actually get well quicker 00:26:33.51\00:26:35.52 by feeding them good nutritious meals, 00:26:35.53\00:26:38.07 we shift in 6500 pounds of TVP within 00:26:38.08\00:26:41.78 the first week after the earthquake. 00:26:41.79\00:26:43.10 Wow! That's amazing, now this afternoon, 00:26:43.43\00:26:46.38 you brought a little video clip with you, 00:26:46.39\00:26:48.67 so we can enjoy, actually going to Haiti 00:26:48.68\00:26:51.65 and we are gonna enjoy that at this time. 00:26:51.66\00:26:52.92 My name is David Canther, 00:27:02.74\00:27:03.73 just a little update of where God has been 00:27:03.74\00:27:06.05 leading Haiti in that past six months in one 00:27:06.06\00:27:09.46 of the largest historic catastrophic events 00:27:09.47\00:27:12.34 in the world. We would give a brief over cap, 00:27:12.35\00:27:14.55 phase 1 was Acute Care as many of the 00:27:14.95\00:27:18.05 medical providers came in and found themselves 00:27:18.06\00:27:20.75 working as we came to the Adventist hospital 00:27:20.76\00:27:23.83 at Haiti and the needs were very acute as 00:27:23.84\00:27:28.68 thousands of people were on the frontline 00:27:28.69\00:27:30.39 of the hospital, so as we looked at phase 1, 00:27:30.40\00:27:32.95 it need involved lot of amputations, 00:27:32.96\00:27:35.33 a lot of acute medical care and coming 00:27:35.34\00:27:38.63 to the hospital where they disparately 00:27:38.64\00:27:41.43 needed help, this was before many other 00:27:41.44\00:27:43.48 institution arrived at the same access, 00:27:43.49\00:27:46.54 well known to be a first responder acting 00:27:46.55\00:27:49.01 quickly to save thousands of life. 00:27:49.02\00:27:51.38 The mobile clinic next door which we set up 00:27:51.80\00:27:53.82 across from the hospital was phase 2 00:27:53.83\00:27:55.89 and there we were able to primarily focus 00:27:55.90\00:27:59.33 on pediatric and primary care patients. 00:27:59.34\00:28:01.95 We saw anywhere between basically 700 00:28:02.42\00:28:05.41 and 1500 people a day at that clinic. 00:28:05.42\00:28:07.72 Those patients would walk up to four hours 00:28:07.73\00:28:10.37 a day to be there at that clinic where we 00:28:10.38\00:28:12.48 administered over $2.3 millions of 00:28:12.49\00:28:14.79 donated medicine. Our focus on phase 1 and 2 00:28:14.80\00:28:17.87 was lot of medical, and emotional, 00:28:17.88\00:28:19.56 and spiritual care. We were blessed to help 00:28:19.57\00:28:21.88 over 68,000 patients, and we look at that 00:28:21.89\00:28:25.24 as a real honor. Phase 3 is an exciting phase 00:28:25.25\00:28:29.72 to be into because it's teaching how to fish 00:28:29.73\00:28:32.29 and not only how to fish, but giving the 00:28:32.30\00:28:34.85 Haitians the ownership of the pond. 00:28:34.86\00:28:36.49 But literally coming into train them in 00:28:36.82\00:28:39.59 professional technical training that would be 00:28:39.60\00:28:42.42 able to use them in the orphanages 00:28:42.43\00:28:44.41 and in the schools and in their country 00:28:44.42\00:28:46.36 very effectively. It's a important thing 00:28:47.44\00:28:50.50 to be able to teach them things 00:28:50.51\00:28:52.46 like triage, and medical care. 00:28:52.47\00:28:54.62 It helped me so much; first of all 00:28:55.12\00:28:57.56 it helped me to help others. 00:28:59.16\00:29:01.08 It's about being able to see changed lives, 00:29:01.41\00:29:04.54 changed lives through everything we did from 00:29:04.55\00:29:07.48 the acute medical to feeding food. 00:29:07.49\00:29:10.69 Mass care feeding is another strength of Acts 00:29:10.70\00:29:13.25 into doing things of mentoring and training 00:29:13.74\00:29:16.67 into the future changing lives. 00:29:16.68\00:29:18.61 Probably one of the most exciting things 00:29:18.98\00:29:20.67 though was actually training them in 00:29:20.68\00:29:22.44 spiritual care, emotional care, how to lead 00:29:22.45\00:29:24.99 somebody to Christ, and that's the thrill 00:29:25.00\00:29:28.02 of when they realize that they can pray 00:29:28.03\00:29:30.26 in a comfortable way with people. 00:29:30.27\00:29:32.01 The Acts prayer model someone created 00:29:32.36\00:29:35.00 there in Haiti is built on the acronym ACTS 00:29:35.01\00:29:38.89 they begin realizing how they can be 00:29:38.90\00:29:41.27 effective in their own country. 00:29:41.28\00:29:42.92 I want to call you to Acts, God is calling you 00:29:50.26\00:29:52.81 to serve right now. There is a way that 00:29:52.82\00:29:55.96 your gifts can be used both domestically 00:29:55.97\00:29:58.02 and internationally. We wanna invite 00:29:58.03\00:30:00.20 you to become a part of the vision that 00:30:00.21\00:30:02.70 God has placed within our heart. 00:30:02.71\00:30:03.95 Wow! That is thrilling isn't not wonderful? 00:30:05.76\00:30:08.04 Praise God, where God is doing, 00:30:08.45\00:30:09.42 so you are going is, you are the some of the first 00:30:09.43\00:30:11.21 people into Haiti then as first responders. 00:30:11.22\00:30:13.17 Actually God blessed with 27 fridgets of individuals 00:30:13.18\00:30:17.46 that we shipped in primarily medical care 00:30:17.47\00:30:19.10 within the first three days of the earthquake. 00:30:19.11\00:30:21.01 Dr. Jason Shives came in on day four or five with 00:30:21.38\00:30:24.84 a group as a first response group, 00:30:24.85\00:30:26.78 and they did a phenomenal job as well. 00:30:27.09\00:30:29.01 Lot of orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, 00:30:29.50\00:30:32.31 nurses the first jet load actually was with Haitians 00:30:32.32\00:30:35.79 Adventist physicians out of Florida Conference. 00:30:35.80\00:30:38.17 Oh that's wonderful, that's wonderful. 00:30:38.18\00:30:40.62 And then you go kind of into a secondary phase 00:30:41.01\00:30:43.03 in these disasters because obviously 00:30:43.04\00:30:45.01 first responding has hopefully an endpoint 00:30:45.02\00:30:47.15 when the earthquake stops. 00:30:47.16\00:30:48.26 Well Haiti is very unique and catastrophically 00:30:48.27\00:30:51.19 different, but firs phase was acute care, 00:30:51.20\00:30:52.78 second case, phase was as I mentioned 00:30:52.79\00:30:55.95 basically during the pediatric and 00:30:56.30\00:30:57.96 primary care and but typically phase 2 00:30:57.97\00:31:01.47 you are getting more into the emotional, 00:31:01.48\00:31:02.91 spiritual healing. The third phase is the 00:31:02.92\00:31:05.45 most exciting you've down what Jesus did, 00:31:05.46\00:31:07.78 you've met the needs of the people, 00:31:07.79\00:31:09.16 you planted the seed, watered the seed, 00:31:09.17\00:31:10.93 met the needs of the people and then you go 00:31:11.31\00:31:13.35 into evangelism and Dr. Jason just returned 00:31:13.36\00:31:16.21 with me last couple of weeks we are holding 00:31:16.22\00:31:18.43 three simultaneously evangelism meetings. 00:31:18.44\00:31:20.99 And I tell you that people are just wanting 00:31:21.34\00:31:24.68 to give their hearts to Lord, when you've met 00:31:24.69\00:31:26.89 their needs first and that's an exciting 00:31:26.90\00:31:29.41 phase right now. That's wonderful Dr. Shives, 00:31:29.42\00:31:31.57 I wanna you to share with us a bit about 00:31:31.58\00:31:32.73 what's going on right now in Haiti right now. 00:31:32.74\00:31:34.64 Actually when I got the opportunity to go 00:31:34.65\00:31:36.26 to Haiti, actually it wasn't in on my 00:31:36.27\00:31:38.16 radar screen; I was in the middle of my 00:31:38.17\00:31:39.90 residency year, towards the end of 00:31:39.91\00:31:41.18 my residency. And my wife is like 00:31:41.19\00:31:43.59 there is an earthquake you got to go, 00:31:44.19\00:31:45.51 I said how to get down there? 00:31:45.52\00:31:46.94 And it seem like a lot of other people were 00:31:47.34\00:31:49.08 trying to get down there as well but, 00:31:49.09\00:31:50.31 you know David comes to me you know sends 00:31:50.32\00:31:52.40 out a message on facebook and says 00:31:52.41\00:31:53.83 you know we need doctors, we need nurses, 00:31:53.84\00:31:55.42 we need people to get down there, 00:31:55.43\00:31:56.92 and whether a thousands of people. 00:31:57.39\00:31:59.47 So, you found out about this need on facebook, 00:31:59.48\00:32:01.07 on facebook, that's awesome, 00:32:01.08\00:32:02.05 I'm kind of facebook fan okay go ahead. 00:32:02.06\00:32:04.16 I found out later that you know there were 00:32:04.67\00:32:06.51 thousands of medical professionals are tying 00:32:06.52\00:32:08.70 to get into Haiti but they couldn't because 00:32:08.71\00:32:10.13 there were blocks, but because of the 00:32:10.14\00:32:12.08 connections the Acts was able to make 00:32:12.09\00:32:13.41 we were able to get in there and save lives 00:32:13.42\00:32:15.76 when people were still trying to get in 00:32:15.90\00:32:17.29 and praise God that Adventist hospital 00:32:17.30\00:32:19.74 which was nearest to the epicenter 00:32:19.75\00:32:21.46 was still standing. And so is it's if God 00:32:21.47\00:32:23.81 specifically has his hand over that hospital 00:32:24.49\00:32:26.87 because you knew there will be teams, 00:32:26.88\00:32:28.48 for sure yeah. When we got to the hospital 00:32:28.49\00:32:30.35 we didn't know what to expect, 00:32:30.36\00:32:31.60 there is close to a 1000 patients just waiting 00:32:31.61\00:32:34.13 for surgeons to do operations on them. 00:32:34.14\00:32:36.28 And I spent that first week, 00:32:37.03\00:32:38.72 probably the busiest week of my life. 00:32:39.45\00:32:41.02 And I felt as if you know I was really there was 00:32:41.62\00:32:44.79 some spiritual emphasis but it was all 00:32:44.80\00:32:47.29 just a physical. I say God if there is an 00:32:47.30\00:32:49.45 opportunity for me to come back to be able 00:32:49.46\00:32:51.19 to share you to these patients, let it happen. 00:32:51.20\00:32:54.66 We had the opportunity in the last couple 00:32:55.00\00:32:56.33 of weeks, I brought a group from my church 00:32:56.34\00:32:58.30 the force like Seventh-day Adventist 00:32:58.31\00:32:59.58 church and this time we did medical 00:32:59.59\00:33:01.42 but we also did constriction and we had 00:33:01.43\00:33:03.20 evangelism in the evenings. 00:33:03.93\00:33:04.99 That's wonderful. There wasn't a lot of time 00:33:05.58\00:33:07.11 to do a lot you know with like when we go to 00:33:07.12\00:33:08.75 Share Him they were able to prepare the way, 00:33:08.76\00:33:10.21 we didn't have a lot of that because 00:33:10.58\00:33:11.97 they are still lot of security issues, 00:33:11.98\00:33:13.60 but we were able to have 10 people accept Christ 00:33:14.24\00:33:16.68 while we were there, amen. And we have 00:33:16.69\00:33:18.87 a couple of stories if you would like us to share; 00:33:18.88\00:33:21.17 there is two specific stories that really 00:33:21.63\00:33:23.75 were touching. Yeah well start with one, 00:33:23.76\00:33:25.13 our clock is ticking over here. 00:33:25.14\00:33:26.62 Sure, well one story I guess we talk about 00:33:26.63\00:33:28.82 our driver. We were bouncing around 00:33:28.83\00:33:30.95 for two weeks, you know we go to this church 00:33:30.96\00:33:32.59 and try to build and this, I started the 00:33:32.60\00:33:36.26 conversation, I was trying to learn Creole 00:33:36.27\00:33:38.14 and French and I ask the guy is like 00:33:38.15\00:33:39.84 do you have a religious affiliations. 00:33:39.85\00:33:41.15 Oh God I don't have any religious beliefs. 00:33:41.16\00:33:42.98 By the end of the two week, we had a call 00:33:42.99\00:33:45.76 and he stood up for baptism, amen. 00:33:45.77\00:33:47.90 And his name is Tony and I talk to him later 00:33:47.91\00:33:50.18 like why did you stand up? He is like I never 00:33:50.19\00:33:52.03 seen a group like this before and just watch 00:33:52.04\00:33:53.45 the way you lived your lives and what you are 00:33:53.46\00:33:54.87 doing for my people and I was coming to the 00:33:54.88\00:33:57.00 meetings and I wanted to accept Jesus too. 00:33:57.01\00:33:58.98 Now David you only work in Haiti? 00:33:59.37\00:34:01.05 No actually we work around the world, 00:34:01.47\00:34:03.23 and we have lot of fun training students, 00:34:03.62\00:34:06.13 I kind of find the education department, 00:34:06.14\00:34:08.22 the General Conference in North American 00:34:08.23\00:34:09.75 division we train youth, we love mentoring 00:34:09.76\00:34:11.86 youth in emergency response domestically 00:34:11.87\00:34:14.69 work with lot of academies, our Heritage 00:34:14.70\00:34:16.53 Academy is our great first responder, 00:34:16.54\00:34:18.66 and train and search training as well as 00:34:18.67\00:34:20.85 training many other place, we just get back 00:34:20.86\00:34:22.57 from Argentina last month. It's great to 00:34:22.58\00:34:25.32 empower our youth training them to help 00:34:25.33\00:34:28.52 now and it keeps them involve in their church 00:34:28.53\00:34:30.94 and their communities and helping the church 00:34:30.95\00:34:32.69 grow wherever they are at. So, we worked 00:34:32.70\00:34:34.46 domestically, we've cooked over million meals 00:34:34.47\00:34:37.02 with our kitchens around the Untied States, 00:34:37.03\00:34:39.39 but in times of international disaster 00:34:39.40\00:34:41.61 we are the first response team as well. 00:34:41.62\00:34:43.73 Now do you need volunteers, 00:34:43.74\00:34:45.56 and how can people get touch with you? 00:34:45.57\00:34:46.94 We have 76,000 volunteers so far, wow. 00:34:46.95\00:34:49.60 We need so many more, praise the Lord, 00:34:49.61\00:34:51.41 because these storms are way bigger than 00:34:51.42\00:34:53.17 any of us. Collaboration is a key, whether you 00:34:53.18\00:34:55.83 are helping with ADRA, ACS, ACTS 00:34:55.84\00:34:58.73 if there were 1000 more organizations 00:34:59.05\00:35:00.92 that would not be enough. 00:35:00.93\00:35:01.90 So, collaboration is very important, 00:35:01.91\00:35:03.82 but we utilize volunteers many organizations 00:35:03.83\00:35:06.61 have paid people, we use volunteers. 00:35:06.62\00:35:09.36 Acts is a blessing to the denomination especially 00:35:09.37\00:35:13.67 when it comes to liability because some 00:35:13.68\00:35:15.75 conferences, some different organizations 00:35:15.76\00:35:17.78 say well you are doing so much you know 00:35:17.79\00:35:19.24 and we wanna get sued with the Adventist name 00:35:19.25\00:35:20.72 and so Acts is a real blessing because 00:35:21.08\00:35:23.08 we carry our own liability but when individuals 00:35:23.09\00:35:25.72 come in it helps create opportunity for the 00:35:25.73\00:35:27.96 Adventist church because it's serve 00:35:27.97\00:35:29.89 the liability issue where we can go in and 00:35:29.90\00:35:32.33 they can partner with us, gives you freedom, 00:35:32.34\00:35:34.34 being an Adventist too, 00:35:34.35\00:35:35.32 we have freedom too share and to serve. 00:35:35.33\00:35:37.07 Well thank you so much for sharing with us 00:35:37.50\00:35:38.95 this afternoon and their website was at the end 00:35:38.96\00:35:41.53 of the video, and you have a booth here too, 00:35:41.54\00:35:43.88 what's the number, do you know 00:35:43.89\00:35:44.86 the number of your booth? 00:35:44.87\00:35:45.84 It's on isle number one, and of course 00:35:45.85\00:35:48.17 you can go out to the kitchen right out here 00:35:48.18\00:35:49.64 and volunteer but actswr. org you can go on 00:35:49.75\00:35:52.99 and volunteer at any time throughout the year. 00:35:53.00\00:35:54.99 We need all of you as construction, cooks, 00:35:55.00\00:35:57.80 trainers, EMT paramedics, fireman whatever might be. 00:35:57.81\00:36:01.33 Okay well thank you so much, 00:36:01.34\00:36:02.70 God bless thanks for sharing. 00:36:02.71\00:36:04.05 This is Chip Doss, I almost feel like 00:36:11.96\00:36:14.03 I don't need to introduce you Chip 00:36:14.04\00:36:15.13 because you know surely ASI knows you. 00:36:15.14\00:36:17.24 We know more commonly from Edgemoor video 00:36:17.25\00:36:20.14 and I think, how many of you are familiar with 00:36:20.79\00:36:22.94 Edgemoor video? You watch 3ABN? 00:36:22.95\00:36:24.73 Okay, you are among friends here those 00:36:24.74\00:36:27.20 beautiful nature scenes and you see the 00:36:27.21\00:36:29.41 animals up close and I try to imagine 00:36:29.42\00:36:31.83 you climbing over all those mountains getting 00:36:31.84\00:36:33.38 that awesome footage, so how does Edgemoor video, 00:36:33.39\00:36:38.64 how have you found a way to share 00:36:38.65\00:36:40.80 Christ in your marketplace. 00:36:41.28\00:36:42.50 Well, originally we were just a home business, 00:36:43.04\00:36:45.66 but we now have a store front in Mountain View, 00:36:45.67\00:36:47.61 Arkansas. And we've opened an apple store, 00:36:47.62\00:36:50.40 and this is given us the opportunity to have 00:36:51.07\00:36:53.72 walk in traffic which we never had before. 00:36:53.73\00:36:55.70 We also do general video production work 00:36:56.15\00:36:58.16 there in town and we have just a lot of people 00:36:58.56\00:37:05.68 from many walks of life that need something 00:37:05.69\00:37:09.71 better and one thing my mom does is teach 00:37:09.72\00:37:12.87 a cooking class and so she invites 00:37:12.88\00:37:16.95 and I invite our customers to go to that class 00:37:17.14\00:37:19.88 and we've had quite a few people 00:37:19.89\00:37:21.47 attend that from our business. 00:37:21.48\00:37:23.12 Now you shared with me that you have the 00:37:23.58\00:37:25.52 capability to take like an old some kind of 00:37:25.53\00:37:28.64 multimedia and you can transfer over to more 00:37:28.65\00:37:31.19 modern digital technology, you told me the neatest 00:37:31.20\00:37:33.38 story about how you helped a family with 00:37:33.39\00:37:35.67 one of their memories what was that? 00:37:35.68\00:37:37.05 Well I just want to mention one thing about 00:37:37.64\00:37:39.45 the cooking class, our health work is one 00:37:39.46\00:37:43.05 of the most important entering wedges 00:37:43.06\00:37:44.54 and we had four people that were baptize 00:37:44.95\00:37:47.34 from that cooking class, praise the Lord 00:37:47.35\00:37:49.34 and we just really are thankful for those new 00:37:49.35\00:37:52.22 members of our church. But, yeah we had 00:37:52.23\00:37:55.08 a disaster in Mountain View, Arkansas, 00:37:55.09\00:37:57.73 it was a flood, and I will talk more about 00:37:57.74\00:37:59.43 that in a minute, but this lady lost everything 00:37:59.44\00:38:03.06 she owned in a flood. And one other things 00:38:03.07\00:38:05.93 was that survived half way was a video tape, 00:38:05.94\00:38:10.49 and that was the only thing that was left 00:38:10.91\00:38:12.59 that had her son that had passed away 00:38:12.99\00:38:15.34 and so the tape had been in water, 00:38:16.20\00:38:18.61 we were able to take it apart rebuilt it 00:38:18.94\00:38:20.92 and recover it not that's only 00:38:20.93\00:38:22.50 images she has of her son. 00:38:22.51\00:38:24.03 So, this is the kind of ministry the Edgemoor 00:38:24.42\00:38:26.54 videos doing locally in the community, 00:38:26.55\00:38:28.04 I just think that so inspiring. 00:38:28.05\00:38:29.35 Now, Chip certainly you don't climb the mountains 00:38:30.10\00:38:34.59 and do your video work turn outs, what in the 00:38:34.60\00:38:36.73 world you are doing in turn outs this afternoon. 00:38:36.74\00:38:38.43 Well I joined, in 2008 I joined my local fire 00:38:38.82\00:38:42.56 department, I volunteer fire department 00:38:42.57\00:38:44.14 and we had a bad year in 2008 in Stone County, 00:38:44.95\00:38:49.13 Arkansas. We had two 100 year floods 00:38:49.14\00:38:52.12 in a period of two weeks. 00:38:52.13\00:38:53.36 These floods just never happen, 00:38:53.82\00:38:55.34 wow in two weeks, in two weeks it's amazing. 00:38:55.78\00:38:58.99 And the creek that I have going through 00:38:59.00\00:39:00.41 my property is usually about 6 inches deep 00:39:00.42\00:39:02.53 and it was over 22 feet. Wow! 00:39:02.54\00:39:06.25 so a lot of water, we also had an F4 tornado 00:39:06.26\00:39:10.43 that travel through Arkansas at 123 miles 00:39:10.44\00:39:13.60 and stayed on the ground as in F4, 00:39:13.98\00:39:16.12 sometimes its F5 for a 123 miles destroyed 00:39:16.13\00:39:20.49 my old farm that I had just sold and we also 00:39:20.50\00:39:24.46 had a record ice storm and record snow storm 00:39:24.47\00:39:28.36 Arkansas just doesn't get a lot of snow, 00:39:28.37\00:39:30.31 and when you have three feet of snow 00:39:30.75\00:39:32.40 that's a lot of snow. For sure even 00:39:32.41\00:39:34.80 I where I lived in. And that was all 00:39:34.81\00:39:35.78 within a one month period. 00:39:35.79\00:39:36.99 Wow! So, you are volunteer fireman right? 00:39:37.57\00:39:42.48 Right, so that means you can get call 00:39:42.49\00:39:44.47 anytime like you get to sleep at night. 00:39:44.48\00:39:46.63 Most of the time we do, it's you know 00:39:47.37\00:39:49.01 we are in the real environment, 00:39:49.02\00:39:50.25 so we don't get a lot of calls but when 00:39:50.26\00:39:52.00 we do they are generally at 2'o clock 00:39:52.01\00:39:53.65 in the morning. And so what yeah that seems 00:39:53.66\00:39:55.83 to be how they go isn't it? They don't go at, 00:39:55.84\00:39:57.39 at 6 after you finished supper you know 00:39:57.40\00:39:59.77 and everything is relaxed they wake you up. 00:39:59.78\00:40:01.87 So, you do a lot of first responder work, 00:40:02.26\00:40:03.97 what kind of blessing or stories can you share 00:40:03.98\00:40:07.09 for your work as fireman, it so exciting 00:40:07.10\00:40:08.94 to you really as you are involved in the 00:40:08.95\00:40:11.23 community that's really wonderful. 00:40:11.24\00:40:12.81 Well I do most of the calls we get are 00:40:13.20\00:40:16.65 medical calls, okay. And you know they are 00:40:16.66\00:40:19.19 usually a coronary or something like that, 00:40:19.20\00:40:21.95 an elderly person that's having trouble. 00:40:21.96\00:40:24.07 We also get a lot of auto accidents 00:40:24.79\00:40:26.73 and ATV accidents. Motorcycle and ATV 00:40:26.74\00:40:31.42 when you hear that call command you get 00:40:32.31\00:40:34.38 burred in the air you know it's everything 00:40:34.39\00:40:36.71 goes into highest phase mode you can get 00:40:37.15\00:40:40.42 because that's usually pretty heavy trauma, 00:40:40.43\00:40:42.27 sure. And we've seen amputations 00:40:42.63\00:40:44.95 and from motorcycle wrecks you know 00:40:44.96\00:40:48.22 just right there in the field, 00:40:48.23\00:40:49.55 and those are quite intense. 00:40:49.56\00:40:51.47 So, do you have any you know couple of stories 00:40:52.85\00:40:54.46 you can share of people whose lives 00:40:54.47\00:40:56.26 have been impacted by you were firework. 00:40:56.27\00:40:57.85 Well the one thing that I enjoy about being 00:40:58.21\00:41:01.35 on the volunteer fire department 00:41:01.36\00:41:02.88 and as far as witnessing opportunity, 00:41:03.51\00:41:05.82 my fellow firefighters are my best friends, 00:41:06.37\00:41:08.70 its, awesome, and it's really important 00:41:08.71\00:41:09.95 as Seventh-day Adventist that we get involved 00:41:09.96\00:41:12.00 in our communities, sure. You know if you don't 00:41:12.01\00:41:15.14 know these people when you go to do an 00:41:15.15\00:41:16.95 evangelistic crusade, especially where I live, 00:41:16.96\00:41:20.46 they already have a church, they already have 00:41:20.91\00:41:23.60 something that they are doing, and you know 00:41:24.32\00:41:27.11 how are you gonna witness to those people 00:41:27.12\00:41:28.59 if you don't know them, 00:41:28.60\00:41:30.25 if you are not their friend. 00:41:30.26\00:41:31.23 But, I have a couple of stories I would like 00:41:31.66\00:41:33.93 to share with you, one was a man had 00:41:33.94\00:41:37.64 just passed away and we got there just 00:41:37.65\00:41:41.73 as he was dying and we were not able to save him, 00:41:41.74\00:41:44.35 and those are some of the saddest calls we go 00:41:44.84\00:41:47.34 on but they give us the best opportunity to 00:41:47.35\00:41:50.18 comfort the family and to be with them 00:41:50.19\00:41:51.93 in the time of grief. And then also we had 00:41:51.94\00:41:55.84 an individual that and this is kind of a 00:41:55.85\00:41:59.04 traumatic story, but he was out hanging 00:41:59.05\00:42:01.77 his field and the track he fell off his tractor, 00:42:01.78\00:42:04.81 and the tractor cut to the right and then stay 00:42:05.63\00:42:08.06 to the right, and continue to run over him 00:42:08.07\00:42:10.14 and over, and over, and over, and over again 00:42:10.15\00:42:12.05 and that was one of the first call I ever 00:42:12.44\00:42:14.61 went on and it was it was quite something to see. 00:42:14.62\00:42:17.80 And then we have of course fire calls and 00:42:18.24\00:42:23.58 you know that's a disaster right there, 00:42:24.78\00:42:26.48 it maybe small, it may not ever make the news, 00:42:26.49\00:42:28.59 but it's a disaster for them, they are loosing 00:42:28.60\00:42:30.98 everything they've ever had, for sure yeah. 00:42:30.99\00:42:33.90 And that's really hard on them and we are there 00:42:33.91\00:42:35.83 to comfort them and one thing we have 00:42:36.21\00:42:37.66 with our local Seventh-day Adventist 00:42:37.67\00:42:39.15 church as we have the relief supplies 00:42:39.16\00:42:41.38 and room is available if they need to stay 00:42:41.39\00:42:43.46 in a motel room for a while we can do that, 00:42:44.02\00:42:46.50 and our fire department is aware of that, 00:42:46.51\00:42:48.76 and uses those services. 00:42:48.77\00:42:50.37 Oh so that's a blessing, so your local fire 00:42:50.38\00:42:52.20 department ties in then with your Adventist 00:42:52.21\00:42:54.05 church and provide that's wonderful, 00:42:54.06\00:42:55.54 that's something that lot of us could do with 00:42:55.55\00:42:57.37 our community services, that's really wonderful. 00:42:57.38\00:43:00.30 So, the challenge comes to us that they are 00:43:00.77\00:43:03.39 so many different ways that we can integrate 00:43:03.40\00:43:05.38 and be involved in our community 00:43:05.39\00:43:07.14 and there in Arkansas you are trying a 00:43:07.15\00:43:08.31 Bible bell, right, so people are somewhat 00:43:08.59\00:43:11.06 satisfied with their religious believes often. 00:43:11.07\00:43:13.60 Right and you know I would really encourage 00:43:13.61\00:43:16.62 you to join your local fire department 00:43:16.63\00:43:20.21 and if you were able to do that it's a lot of fun, 00:43:20.22\00:43:22.47 it's a adrenaline rush occasionally and, 00:43:22.48\00:43:24.39 push your mic up, and I think you would just 00:43:24.40\00:43:27.90 enjoy it, it's a beautiful experience and you can 00:43:27.91\00:43:30.64 make lifelong friends from doing that. 00:43:30.65\00:43:32.46 Well thank Chip so much for coming 00:43:33.43\00:43:35.02 and sharing with us today, and God bless you 00:43:35.03\00:43:36.48 and our ministry. Thank you. 00:43:36.49\00:43:37.68 In my darkness Jesus found me, 00:43:42.72\00:43:47.10 Touched my eyes and made me see 00:43:49.02\00:43:55.27 Broke sin's chains which long had bound me 00:43:55.28\00:44:01.59 Gave me life and liberty 00:44:01.60\00:44:08.34 O glorious love of Christ my Lord divine 00:44:08.77\00:44:14.85 That made Him stoop to save a soul like mine 00:44:14.86\00:44:20.82 Through all my days and then in heaven above 00:44:20.83\00:44:26.63 My song will silence never, I'll worship Him forever 00:44:27.97\00:44:33.58 And praise Him for His glorious love 00:44:34.00\00:44:39.55 O amazing truth to ponder He Whom angel hosts attend 00:44:40.25\00:44:52.48 Lord of heaven God's Son what wonder 00:44:53.00\00:44:58.98 He became the sinner's Friend 00:44:59.48\00:45:05.92 O glorious love of Christ my Lord divine 00:45:06.33\00:45:12.26 That made Him stoop to save a soul like mine 00:45:12.27\00:45:18.37 Through all my days and then in heaven above 00:45:18.38\00:45:25.17 My song will silence never, I'll worship Him forever 00:45:25.18\00:45:31.00 And praise Him for His glorious love 00:45:31.40\00:45:37.53 My song will silence never, I'll worship Him forever 00:45:37.54\00:45:43.31 And praise Him for His glorious love 00:45:43.32\00:45:49.52 And praise Him for His glorious love 00:45:50.03\00:45:55.52 And praise Him for His glorious love 00:45:57.01\00:46:08.26 Their chains were fastened tight 00:50:54.52\00:50:58.36 Down at the jail that night 00:50:59.06\00:51:02.08 Still Paul and Silas would not be dismayed 00:51:02.64\00:51:10.14 They said, "It's time to lift our voice, 00:51:10.61\00:51:14.77 and sing praises to the Lord 00:51:14.78\00:51:18.77 Let's prove that we can trust Him come what may" 00:51:19.16\00:51:27.10 God wants to hear you sing 00:51:27.11\00:51:30.82 When the waves are crashing 'round you 00:51:30.83\00:51:33.81 When the fiery darts surround you 00:51:34.20\00:51:37.14 When despair is all you see 00:51:37.63\00:51:40.89 God wants to hear your voice 00:51:40.90\00:51:44.47 When the wisest man has spoken 00:51:44.48\00:51:47.68 And says, "Your circumstance is 00:51:47.69\00:51:49.96 as hopeless as can be" 00:51:49.97\00:51:54.21 That's when God wants to hear you sing 00:51:54.65\00:52:00.92 He loves to hear our praise on our cheerful days 00:52:09.43\00:52:16.42 When the pleasant times outweigh the bad, by far 00:52:16.43\00:52:22.05 But when suffering comes along 00:52:22.97\00:52:27.84 But we still sing Him songs 00:52:27.85\00:52:31.80 That is when we bless the Father's heart. 00:52:32.10\00:52:39.42 God wants to hear you sing 00:52:39.43\00:52:42.85 When the waves are crashing 'round you 00:52:42.86\00:52:45.87 When the fiery darts surround you 00:52:46.25\00:52:49.26 When despair is all you see 00:52:49.87\00:52:52.32 God wants to hear your voice 00:52:53.01\00:52:56.33 When the wisest man has spoken 00:52:56.70\00:52:59.60 And says, "Your circumstance is 00:52:59.61\00:53:01.95 as hopeless as can be" 00:53:01.96\00:53:06.05 That's when God wants to hear you sing 00:53:06.62\00:53:12.77 God wants to hear you sing 00:53:13.96\00:53:17.29 When the waves are crashing 'round you 00:53:17.30\00:53:20.28 When the fiery darts surround you 00:53:20.29\00:53:23.72 When despair is all you see 00:53:24.06\00:53:27.86 God wants to hear your voice 00:53:27.87\00:53:30.91 When the wisest man has spoken 00:53:30.92\00:53:34.20 And says, "Your circumstance is 00:53:34.21\00:53:36.40 as hopeless as can be" 00:53:36.41\00:53:40.41 That's when God wants to hear you sing 00:53:40.84\00:53:47.53 That's when God wants to hear you sing, you sing 00:53:47.54\00:54:10.12 I invite you to stand for prayer. 00:54:18.25\00:54:20.26 Our Father you are truly an awesome God. 00:54:23.20\00:54:28.68
