Well, at first I

poor choices and I drifted

where you gone? 42 years,

what brought you back,

I fast forward
from then to 1992.

In 1992, my youngest
sister was diagnosed with

Mesothelioma,
asbestos related cancer.

She had a lung taken
out, heavy chemotherapy,

heavy radiation,
but she made it through.

About three years
later, her husband went

through his midlife
crisis. And, they were gone,

he was gone for
almost five years,

during that period
of time Charlotte's job

was eliminated, because
the company she worked for

was sold, she was in
poor health, she was alone.

So my wife and who
had been through divorces

knew what it was like to
be lonesome so we decided

her under our wing.

A little did we know

2003 the cancer came back,

after it was diagnosed

just brought this alternate

kept on saying you know,

Well, after she was

to church, and she's went

she was never an Adventist,

knew I was in deep trouble,

had given up cigarettes

back in '87. I
was a heavy drinker;

I was drinking between
40 and 50 drinks a week.

That's quite a bit,
and I knew that I was not

going to be able to
stop this on my own.

So I was praying about
it, the day that the pastor

left on the final
Bible study I said well,

this, she said yes.
