Good evening ASI. Good evening. Good evening ASI. 00:03:43.43\00:03:47.48 Good evening. Are you alive tonight? 00:03:47.80\00:03:49.68 Yes. Praise the Lord? This is the part of ASI a voice 00:03:49.89\00:03:53.18 really enjoyed and that's when you get to interview 00:03:53.28\00:03:55.77 people and hear different people's experiences that 00:03:55.84\00:03:58.39 often times just ordinary everyday people like us, 00:03:58.99\00:04:01.23 you know going out and doing extraordinary things by the 00:04:01.46\00:04:03.79 power of the Holy Spirit, nd I have here with me 00:04:03.86\00:04:06.71 Sam Miller. Sam, you have a very interesting shirt on 00:04:06.84\00:04:10.20 I mean, did you just get off an airline or something and 00:04:10.28\00:04:12.35 come here what's up with the shirt? Now, not exactly, 00:04:12.38\00:04:15.59 just came for ASI. You just, how come you're 00:04:16.72\00:04:19.04 wearing this shirt then I mean. Well, that's part of 00:04:19.12\00:04:21.45 my testimony. Tell us a little bit, how you used to 00:04:21.48\00:04:25.22 fly or something or are you still flying or. Yeah, 00:04:25.50\00:04:27.84 I did, I did and I still do. About 7 years ago, 00:04:28.45\00:04:33.53 the Lord led me to Cincinnati, gave me my 00:04:34.76\00:04:37.08 dream job. I was the Chief Pilot for a large company 00:04:37.30\00:04:39.73 in Cincinnati. And within a couple of months there, 00:04:39.92\00:04:42.72 I met a young lady and I can't give, I can't do this 00:04:43.81\00:04:47.43 story, Justice my wife tells it much better than I do. 00:04:47.61\00:04:50.00 So, you'll have to ask her sometime. Were you a 00:04:50.45\00:04:52.60 Seventh-day Adventist then? No, I wasn't. And you 00:04:52.74\00:04:54.88 met this young lady, just a friend and. Yeah and I 00:04:54.92\00:04:58.21 mentioned to her that I was looking for a Church 00:04:58.28\00:05:00.15 and I asked her what her Church was like. And she 00:05:00.87\00:05:04.78 mentioned that she went to Church on Saturdays and 00:05:04.92\00:05:07.21 my response that was well. Saturday or Sunday it 00:05:07.34\00:05:09.56 doesn't really matter, either day works for me 00:05:09.72\00:05:13.15 because I'm off on the weekends. So, the next 00:05:13.20\00:05:17.86 Sabbath, I met her at her Church and it just so 00:05:17.99\00:05:20.93 happened that the message there that day was Daniel 00:05:21.04\00:05:25.16 Prophecy of 1260 days, something I had never 00:05:25.38\00:05:27.70 heard of before, and I was fascinated by it. 00:05:27.73\00:05:30.87 And so what happened after that I mean. 00:05:31.91\00:05:34.63 Well, I continued my job and I was out of town on 00:05:35.30\00:05:37.94 a lot of weekends, but I was able to find local 00:05:37.97\00:05:41.76 Adventist Churches in every city that I would fly 00:05:41.87\00:05:44.93 to. And I would make a point to go to those 00:05:44.96\00:05:47.65 Churches and I continued to grow and then when I 00:05:47.87\00:05:50.75 get back to Cincinnati I started to do Bible studies 00:05:50.88\00:05:53.75 with Conference Bible Workers. And within a couple 00:05:54.13\00:05:56.70 of years I had join the Church. And, I think you got 00:05:56.73\00:06:00.29 married too. Yeah, we got married also. And so, 00:06:00.32\00:06:03.46 are you still flying today or what are you doing? 00:06:03.71\00:06:05.59 Well, shortly after that I mentioned to my wife that, 00:06:06.05\00:06:08.93 my job felt unfulfilling and I felt like God had more 00:06:10.17\00:06:13.96 for us and so we discussed and through the 00:06:14.24\00:06:17.84 conversation it was determine that maybe I 00:06:19.09\00:06:22.20 should look at teaching which is something I've 00:06:22.36\00:06:23.93 never done before, possibly history and within a 00:06:24.09\00:06:27.31 couple of weeks of that conversation God opened a 00:06:27.42\00:06:30.69 door and let it be known to us that there was a school 00:06:30.83\00:06:33.60 in the middle of Tennessee looking for a history 00:06:33.63\00:06:35.31 teacher. Sam wasn't it kind of difficult. I mean 00:06:35.44\00:06:37.89 here you are working for a commercial company 00:06:38.01\00:06:40.53 flying and you're gonna step down from you know 00:06:40.79\00:06:43.67 kind of a prestigious job I mean flying airplanes 00:06:43.70\00:06:46.92 corporately and you're gonna go to teaching some 00:06:47.08\00:06:49.71 place. I mean, what would motivate you to do that 00:06:49.78\00:06:52.37 and was it a difficult decision for you? Yeah, 00:06:52.50\00:06:54.96 a lot of people think that it was a difficult decision, 00:06:54.99\00:06:57.96 but like everything in my life, God led me in small 00:06:58.15\00:07:02.04 steps. And so the decision was actually fairly simple 00:07:02.13\00:07:05.91 for my wife and I, although you know, it was a 00:07:06.00\00:07:08.63 serious lifestyle change. It was an easy decision to 00:07:08.98\00:07:12.93 make and something we look back on and look at 00:07:13.21\00:07:16.73 how easy it was to just go from being a corporate 00:07:16.81\00:07:21.04 pilot living in the Suburbs, to living on the campus of 00:07:21.14\00:07:23.60 a self-supporting school. And what self-supporting 00:07:23.80\00:07:26.02 school are you at now? We're at Heritage Academy in 00:07:26.15\00:07:28.55 Monterey, Tennessee. And so are you teaching 00:07:28.75\00:07:30.50 History like you were planning on? Well, the first 00:07:30.63\00:07:33.21 year that I was at, that I was hired at Heritage, 00:07:33.35\00:07:36.57 at ASI, David Gates with GMI came to our principal 00:07:38.50\00:07:43.51 and asked if there was anyway that Heritage could 00:07:43.85\00:07:45.63 have a flight program. And our principal said you're 00:07:45.75\00:07:48.23 not going to believe this but we just hired a pilot 00:07:48.26\00:07:50.18 as a History teacher. So, they brought the idea to me 00:07:50.66\00:07:55.00 and I said no, no, no, we don't want to do flight 00:07:55.30\00:07:58.09 instruction. It's a direction our school really doesn't 00:07:58.35\00:08:02.18 need to go; here I'm telling missionaries how, what is 00:08:02.28\00:08:07.01 necessary in the mission field. Oh! When you were 00:08:07.12\00:08:09.72 thinking about going there and teaching History were 00:08:09.90\00:08:11.60 you a certified History teacher or something like 00:08:11.77\00:08:14.43 that. No, no, I wasn't. But, I was able to go there 00:08:14.60\00:08:18.52 and start teaching History and I, you know my wife 00:08:18.68\00:08:21.34 and I we knew, we had walked away from aviation. 00:08:21.37\00:08:24.43 That's what I believed actually. And so you did 00:08:25.01\00:08:26.68 completely walkway from aviation. I did for about six 00:08:26.85\00:08:30.98 months. Six months, so what happened, I mean you 00:08:31.11\00:08:34.71 said something to me back stage about the academy is 00:08:34.92\00:08:37.17 involved with some kind of aviation program and 00:08:37.26\00:08:39.17 that, I've been to lot of self-supporting academies 00:08:39.25\00:08:41.32 and I've never heard of an academy having an 00:08:41.40\00:08:43.52 aviation program. Tell us a little bit about that. 00:08:43.67\00:08:46.30 Well, the following year at ASI, I actually came and 00:08:46.37\00:08:49.53 in the course of things I discovered another 00:08:51.04\00:08:54.40 organization called AWA, Adventist World Aviation. 00:08:54.43\00:08:57.36 I met Don Starlin the president and we started 00:08:57.69\00:09:01.73 talking and he mentioned that, he thought this was a 00:09:01.87\00:09:04.96 good idea for Heritage to have a flight program. 00:09:05.13\00:09:07.60 I continued to really not pursue it and through 00:09:08.55\00:09:13.99 prayer on AWA's behalf within six months God 00:09:14.03\00:09:19.39 delivered an airplane to our front door. 00:09:19.73\00:09:21.18 You're kidding me. Yeah, at which point our 00:09:21.32\00:09:23.69 president of our school and I had to approach the 00:09:23.97\00:09:26.11 board and, seriously reconsider, and mentioned 00:09:26.32\00:09:27.30 to them we'll have a flight program. You started 00:09:27.39\00:09:29.57 seriously reconsidering. We did, we did. So what is, 00:09:29.64\00:09:32.68 what are you doing now, what's the program in the 00:09:33.05\00:09:34.24 school? Are you doing like an awareness with the 00:09:34.47\00:09:35.81 kids or you what are you doing with the aviation 00:09:35.92\00:09:38.33 program exactly? Well, at our school of course as a 00:09:38.45\00:09:42.13 self-supporting school we have academics, vocational 00:09:42.23\00:09:44.93 spiritual training and this is just one of the 00:09:45.10\00:09:47.26 vocational tools. We feel like it's important to give 00:09:47.35\00:09:52.00 these young people not only the academic that you 00:09:52.12\00:09:55.54 would get at any high school, but the vocational 00:09:55.57\00:09:59.00 training and the vocational training should be useful 00:09:59.13\00:10:01.28 to the mission field. And at this point aviation is 00:10:01.31\00:10:04.66 extremely needed in the mission field. And so are 00:10:04.92\00:10:08.41 the young people coming away with a sense of the 00:10:08.88\00:10:10.96 importance of aviation then and are you actually 00:10:11.30\00:10:13.27 taking them up and giving them pilot lessons and. 00:10:13.37\00:10:15.98 Yes, yes, we have a program written that a student 00:10:16.14\00:10:21.36 could start during their sophomore year and through 00:10:21.39\00:10:24.37 the course of their high school from sophomore to 00:10:24.40\00:10:26.48 the senior year, if they graduated at the age 18 it's 00:10:26.51\00:10:30.63 possible that they could have their commercial 00:10:31.32\00:10:32.84 pilot's license at which point they graduate from 00:10:32.97\00:10:35.80 high school, commercial pilot's license goes 00:10:36.00\00:10:39.10 straight to the mission field at age 18. 00:10:39.13\00:10:40.80 That's sounds like the kind of academy. I would 00:10:41.12\00:10:42.68 like to go to. I love Airplanes, be flying. 00:10:42.71\00:10:45.67 So, what is gonna be the long term affects of you 00:10:46.16\00:10:49.78 think of having this program at Heritage Academy. 00:10:49.92\00:10:52.12 Well, the program is growing extremely quickly. 00:10:53.25\00:10:56.53 God has taught me a lot about faith and he continues 00:10:57.33\00:10:59.46 to do that. Praise God. Last year, of course we 00:10:59.56\00:11:02.98 had our Cessna 150, that's what we're using for 00:11:03.01\00:11:05.03 training. God is making a way for us to build a 00:11:05.13\00:11:07.60 runway this fall on our campus. We're working on 00:11:07.71\00:11:10.97 on through prayer and planning, we're planning on 00:11:11.00\00:11:18.62 building a hanger to store, not only our Cessna 150 00:11:18.75\00:11:22.77 but also a Cessna 172 because God has also 00:11:22.83\00:11:25.59 brought the means for us to purchase a Cessna 172, 00:11:26.17\00:11:30.97 I've been shopping the last week for another airplane. 00:11:31.02\00:11:33.52 Well, praise God. And Sam thank you for your time 00:11:34.39\00:11:36.53 coming up here and I appreciate what you're doing 00:11:36.72\00:11:38.98 there, it's a really exciting story. Thank you. 00:11:39.03\00:11:41.63 Pretty amazing huh, somebody willing to step 00:11:42.22\00:11:43.99 down from commercial flying and accepting the 00:11:44.15\00:11:47.50 Sabbath and then marrying an Adventist girl and now 00:11:47.59\00:11:50.96 doing an aviation program for the Lord. Don, it's been 00:11:51.32\00:11:55.41 longtime since I saw you. I think that we kind of 00:11:55.53\00:11:57.58 first got acquainted, this is Don Folkenberg by the 00:11:57.66\00:11:59.60 way, I'm sorry I know him pretty well, and I was 00:11:59.75\00:12:03.81 just actually at a camp meeting last weekend with 00:12:03.86\00:12:06.12 your nephew Don, Bob Folkenberg Jr, we were 00:12:06.47\00:12:08.80 speaking at a camp meeting together. I think I 00:12:08.92\00:12:10.76 first met you in Bulgaria, early 90s something like 00:12:10.88\00:12:13.18 that and we both fly quite a bit and so we would run 00:12:13.33\00:12:15.98 into each other in the strangest places, I can 00:12:16.07\00:12:17.78 remember one time we were, I was at Frankford 00:12:17.81\00:12:19.98 airport and stopped at the lounge there because I had 00:12:20.20\00:12:22.61 a long layover and you were there and we spend quite 00:12:22.64\00:12:24.31 a bit of time talking and. So, we spend quite a bit of 00:12:24.35\00:12:26.65 time in airplanes right I mean a good part of our 00:12:26.79\00:12:28.90 life. We seem to live on board. Yeah so, you have a 00:12:29.08\00:12:32.58 interesting experience considering all the things 00:12:32.85\00:12:34.64 that happened with 9/11 and the security situations 00:12:34.68\00:12:37.12 on airplanes and such. Tell us a little bit about an 00:12:37.19\00:12:39.70 experience you recently had on one of the your 00:12:39.85\00:12:42.35 commercial flights. March and April, I was date block 00:12:42.41\00:12:46.50 manager for a group of students in Malaysia from 00:12:46.65\00:12:50.77 Fountainview Academy and I got to know some of 00:12:50.92\00:12:55.52 the staff members, the president of the institution 00:12:55.55\00:12:58.02 gave me a set of DVDs and I started to listen to them. 00:12:58.05\00:13:02.92 And in fact, well one week into the series of meetings 00:13:03.81\00:13:07.85 I got notice or a telephone call that my father-in-law 00:13:07.88\00:13:11.41 had passed away. He was 95, had lived a good life, 00:13:12.05\00:13:15.82 loved the Lord and was looking forward to him 00:13:16.03\00:13:18.61 coming. But that necessitated me heading 00:13:18.86\00:13:21.94 for home and that is a problem when all the flights 00:13:22.10\00:13:24.97 as you know running full. And there was a plus factor 00:13:25.04\00:13:31.28 to this flight and that is that I was upgraded to first 00:13:31.36\00:13:35.51 class. As that was hard to take. Somebody's got to do 00:13:35.64\00:13:40.00 it. Well, I'm sitting there with my computer open 00:13:40.03\00:13:46.50 listening to the DVDs. Now, is this a DVD series of 00:13:47.38\00:13:50.74 the kids singing like in monument valley and. 00:13:50.77\00:13:52.96 How many of you seen that series. The kids from 00:13:53.26\00:13:55.33 Fountainview, isn't that good. Really well. Really 00:13:55.49\00:13:57.40 well produced, really well produced. And it's very 00:13:57.52\00:14:00.40 really following the Steps to Christ. And, I noticed 00:14:00.43\00:14:04.59 have you ever been in a situation where you notice 00:14:04.62\00:14:08.08 people around you but you didn't really look at them. 00:14:08.24\00:14:11.66 And I notice that behind me there were a number of 00:14:12.48\00:14:15.31 the crew. And I had my headset on, I was not paying 00:14:15.44\00:14:21.30 any attention to anybody other then listening to this 00:14:21.35\00:14:24.26 beautiful music, and I pulled my headset off and 00:14:24.40\00:14:28.23 I said, can I help you. They said, we can't help but 00:14:28.26\00:14:31.85 notice that it would appear this music that you are 00:14:32.11\00:14:35.67 listening to is really incredible. And I jerked my 00:14:35.91\00:14:39.83 headset off and I said, well listen for yourself. 00:14:39.96\00:14:42.16 And they did, and they passed it around and they 00:14:43.27\00:14:45.36 listened and they listened and they listened. They said 00:14:45.60\00:14:48.63 is there someway that we could show this onboard the 00:14:48.79\00:14:52.12 plane, and I said, I haven't the foggiest idea. 00:14:52.17\00:14:57.42 Long story short, they took the DVD set from me. 00:14:59.82\00:15:02.76 Now, you need to understand when you're 00:15:02.95\00:15:04.16 flying international. Nowadays you don't get to 00:15:04.38\00:15:07.15 go between cabins. I don't know whether they did or 00:15:07.26\00:15:13.01 didn't. Except, well let me go back in the story. 00:15:13.09\00:15:19.79 The president of the institution had told me 00:15:20.76\00:15:22.43 you know we have some students that felt that 00:15:22.50\00:15:25.03 putting together this set of DVDs was really a waste 00:15:25.49\00:15:29.39 of time. We, you know nobody is gonna to watch it. 00:15:29.49\00:15:33.40 I said, will you give me five minutes? By the way 00:15:36.88\00:15:41.24 they're getting on the bus, leaving hope where we had 00:15:41.35\00:15:45.98 our Share Him festival, I said I would like to talk 00:15:46.14\00:15:49.58 to these young people and I told them the story that 00:15:49.65\00:15:51.52 I'm telling you right now. I said, you folks have no 00:15:51.63\00:15:57.96 idea the effect that your work in making this set of 00:15:58.15\00:16:05.80 DVDs had on those people. I don't really know, 00:16:05.88\00:16:09.23 but the fact of the matter is many, many, many people 00:16:10.37\00:16:14.07 were introduce to Jesus Christ, by the work that you 00:16:14.26\00:16:17.86 did and it was so incredible. Well, there was lots of 00:16:18.12\00:16:24.75 silence, I have no questions in my mind that many, 00:16:25.32\00:16:30.39 many people just by watching had a chance of 00:16:30.56\00:16:37.79 seeing Jesus Christ, his life portrayed and what 00:16:38.06\00:16:43.92 it can do for you and I. All I know is when I got off 00:16:43.95\00:16:50.48 I tried to get back into the tourist class cabin, because 00:16:50.94\00:16:55.10 I wanted to see if in fact they were going to be 00:16:55.42\00:16:57.08 showing it back there and they wouldn't let me. 00:16:57.23\00:17:01.55 They said, you cannot switch cabins, you cannot even 00:17:02.71\00:17:05.67 use the bathrooms back and forth between the 00:17:05.86\00:17:07.74 cabins, there is no congregating in the aisles. 00:17:07.82\00:17:10.29 So, do you think that they were that they the flight 00:17:10.32\00:17:12.38 crew that were sitting behind you were indicating 00:17:12.47\00:17:13.89 they were going to put it on and just let everybody on 00:17:13.97\00:17:15.55 the plane watch it. That's what they wanted to, 00:17:15.70\00:17:17.88 that's what they said. My response was, hey look I 00:17:18.03\00:17:21.75 fly this airline an awful lot, a few million miles worth. 00:17:21.89\00:17:25.42 It's a good airline, I want to continue doing so. 00:17:26.33\00:17:29.03 So, make sure that you run this permission process by 00:17:29.79\00:17:33.69 the captain and they said look the captain, he's sort 00:17:33.76\00:17:39.13 of the last word. In fact one of the staff member 00:17:39.16\00:17:42.80 said on this plane we have a bunk house up above and 00:17:43.00\00:17:48.20 she says I'm getting ready to take my break. I want to 00:17:48.45\00:17:51.43 find out if they will fix it up so I can watch it up in 00:17:51.50\00:17:55.72 the break room. Folks, we have no idea, the effect of 00:17:55.76\00:18:05.63 people around us observing us, watching what we're 00:18:05.70\00:18:09.74 watching and points them in a direction that hey we 00:18:09.97\00:18:16.09 might see them in heaven again. Yep, I often say 00:18:16.22\00:18:21.11 DVDs and television programs can boldly go 00:18:21.35\00:18:23.49 where many other people cannot go. Cannot go. 00:18:23.73\00:18:26.46 And I know that's true even in homes and huts in 00:18:26.59\00:18:29.16 Hindu religious and Nepal and India and we don't 00:18:29.33\00:18:32.35 understand. Often times the power of just having 00:18:32.38\00:18:35.42 something like a DVD presentation or in this case 00:18:35.53\00:18:38.16 with the kids from Fairhaven, it's Fairhaven 00:18:38.70\00:18:41.70 right? Fountainview, Fountainview, Fountainview. 00:18:41.85\00:18:43.59 that produced this series, it's really 00:18:43.77\00:18:45.72 good. Well, Don, I appreciated you sharing 00:18:45.87\00:18:47.49 that with us and its good to see you again and a quick 00:18:47.52\00:18:51.26 comment, guys, a couple seconds here. Well see you 00:18:51.35\00:18:54.20 in Frankfort again. Okay, okay, God bless. 00:18:54.23\00:18:56.14 Next we have a very interesting story. We're 00:18:57.78\00:19:00.30 gonna not be on flying time so much but it's Randy 00:19:00.43\00:19:04.84 and Tammy Bevins and these folks move from 00:19:04.91\00:19:07.81 beautiful Oregon down to Ukiah, California. 00:19:08.00\00:19:10.67 And you told me a little bit of a story and it's kind of 00:19:11.51\00:19:15.48 sad story but really an encouraging story at the 00:19:15.70\00:19:17.68 same time. Tell us a little bit about your move and 00:19:17.86\00:19:20.68 what happened. I'm gonna talk just briefly and then 00:19:20.85\00:19:23.92 I'm gonna let Tammy talk, about roughly a year and 00:19:24.03\00:19:29.17 have ago we decided to sell our home and we listed 00:19:29.36\00:19:33.02 it, we put it, put it up, you know for sale and 00:19:33.25\00:19:36.56 nothing was happening, nothing was happening. 00:19:38.55\00:19:39.52 We just felt God impressing us that we needed to 00:19:39.53\00:19:41.00 move and as time went on we started to realize why 00:19:41.33\00:19:44.96 the house wasn't selling. Well, when we moved 00:19:45.36\00:19:50.25 Ukiah, I had three small children, twins that were 00:19:51.29\00:19:55.22 two and a three month old and our house was fairly 00:19:55.35\00:19:58.71 large and I said I cannot clean this. I just don't 00:19:58.78\00:20:01.51 have time. So, we hired a house keeper somebody 00:20:01.59\00:20:04.79 who was really good in our community and she 00:20:05.07\00:20:11.40 worked for us for five years and about a year ago 00:20:11.43\00:20:15.58 she, well she had been asking me if she needed to 00:20:16.58\00:20:18.86 see a priest for forgiveness and I told her no and 00:20:19.01\00:20:26.33 she kept asking me every few weeks she would ask 00:20:26.79\00:20:28.99 me and so one day I gave her a Steps to Christ and 00:20:29.07\00:20:32.98 she was a Hispanic Catholic. Did you give it to her 00:20:33.12\00:20:35.55 in Spanish or English. Spanish. But she speaks 00:20:35.58\00:20:38.23 fairly good English. Yes, Oh good. But she preferred 00:20:38.54\00:20:40.67 to read in Spanish. And she a few weeks later she 00:20:40.70\00:20:45.39 came to me and said, you know that Steps to Christ 00:20:45.56\00:20:49.17 you gave me she said I loved it and I want to give 00:20:49.22\00:20:51.69 some to my sisters, could I buy some from you, 00:20:51.85\00:20:54.26 I said oh no I said I've got more and so I went to the 00:20:54.79\00:20:57.15 closet and I went to my stash and got some for her 00:20:57.33\00:20:59.75 and she was so happy to have them, she has 13 00:21:00.59\00:21:03.30 siblings so she has a big family. So, some months 00:21:03.46\00:21:11.18 went by and we were talking about the Bible, 00:21:11.38\00:21:13.59 she goes I don't know too much about the Bible and 00:21:13.69\00:21:16.06 I could hear the Holy Spirit saying this is your 00:21:16.93\00:21:18.76 opportunity, so powerful. So, I said Rosa, would you 00:21:19.04\00:21:23.20 like to study the Bible with me I said we could do 00:21:23.40\00:21:26.44 three studies and if you like it we'll keep going she 00:21:27.32\00:21:29.91 said okay. So, we did it and we kept doing it and 00:21:29.96\00:21:33.46 doing it and about a year later we're still doing it 00:21:33.63\00:21:37.54 and we're getting into prophecy and. Were you 00:21:37.77\00:21:41.38 nervous about asking her about having Bible studies? 00:21:41.44\00:21:43.93 I mean are you a trained Bible study. No, no, I've 00:21:44.40\00:21:46.49 never given one. You've never given a Bible study at 00:21:46.69\00:21:49.18 this point. No, no. And what gave you the courage to 00:21:49.21\00:21:51.73 just step out and ask her something like that, I mean. 00:21:51.83\00:21:54.75 Well, I've been. And that's a really difficult question. 00:21:55.11\00:21:57.00 It is. You get to know somebody and you started 00:21:57.08\00:21:58.44 having some spiritual conversations and that next 00:21:58.47\00:22:00.82 step you know like you know would you be interested 00:22:00.88\00:22:03.40 in Bible studies, well that's a hard line to get out. 00:22:03.54\00:22:06.19 Well, I've been praying for God to use me somehow, 00:22:06.90\00:22:10.66 my world is very small because I'm taking care of 00:22:10.69\00:22:13.24 small children and my mom had been doing some 00:22:13.47\00:22:18.39 Bible studies in her home lifting up Jesus in her 00:22:18.50\00:22:21.35 community. And so, and talking about it saying they 00:22:21.42\00:22:24.67 are so easy to do and people love them and so I 00:22:24.70\00:22:27.76 anyway I just. So, did she say yes. She said yes, 00:22:28.30\00:22:30.59 yes. Tammy had been giving Bible studies they 00:22:31.03\00:22:35.26 had been about 20 Bible studies at this point in time 00:22:35.30\00:22:38.37 and I remember Rosa worked on Wednesday morning 00:22:38.40\00:22:41.07 and I went up and I saw her she was in our bathroom 00:22:41.95\00:22:44.32 cleaning and I said Rosa tell me how is it going 00:22:44.55\00:22:47.67 And she goes you know that Bible that Tammy 00:22:48.48\00:22:50.34 bought for me and she goes I read it every day she 00:22:50.47\00:22:52.61 goes I don't have time for lunch because I read it 00:22:52.79\00:22:54.87 during my lunch hour and I almost can't get time to 00:22:54.97\00:22:57.65 eat any lunch I'm just reading studying and her 00:22:57.79\00:23:00.48 face was the face of an angel. God gave me that 00:23:00.60\00:23:06.69 image because it wasn't shortly after that where 00:23:07.22\00:23:11.56 things started falling apart. We had her over for 00:23:11.86\00:23:15.27 dinner, there was a Hispanic man in our Church who 00:23:15.49\00:23:18.24 had been studying with, with her and Tammy. 00:23:18.53\00:23:20.21 They got into prophecy, he started giving it to her 00:23:20.24\00:23:22.57 Spanish, so that it would be clearly understood and 00:23:22.79\00:23:25.26 she was grasping it, accepting it every step of 00:23:25.43\00:23:28.27 the way and she was right there and we had her over 00:23:28.50\00:23:31.74 for dinner and she seemed to be kind of out of it, 00:23:31.77\00:23:35.68 like there was something wrong, we started talking to 00:23:35.79\00:23:37.50 her, they said that her doctor had put her on Prozac 00:23:37.62\00:23:40.31 and she taken one dose and I said one dose won't do 00:23:40.51\00:23:43.36 that for you, I mean it's gonna to take you seven days 00:23:43.39\00:23:45.05 I mean she was so bad that I had to drive her car 00:23:45.08\00:23:47.83 home. What was happening with her, why was she. 00:23:48.15\00:23:50.58 No one, no one understood they said that she was 00:23:50.63\00:23:52.57 depressed, they took her off to Mexico and put her in 00:23:52.71\00:23:54.87 an in-patient program, she was there about three or 00:23:54.90\00:23:57.23 four days, she came back, they put her into a 00:23:57.35\00:23:59.39 neurology ward in Santa Rosa. She became more and 00:23:59.74\00:24:04.79 more demented, and they finally diagnosed her about 00:24:04.87\00:24:10.24 maybe a week later, she had Jakob Creutzfeldt 00:24:10.65\00:24:13.19 Variant, she had Mad Cow Disease. Wow. They told 00:24:13.48\00:24:17.05 her that she should go home and that she would have 00:24:17.08\00:24:18.05 maybe two weeks to live. We went there everyday in 00:24:19.76\00:24:23.42 fact she was comatose, she actually died ten days 00:24:23.65\00:24:27.93 later, she didn't even live the two weeks. But there 00:24:28.05\00:24:32.15 were like 50 family members there everyday and we 00:24:32.35\00:24:35.28 would go over and I remember once, one of the nieces 00:24:35.38\00:24:39.36 said you know maybe God just needs Rosa in heaven 00:24:39.58\00:24:43.62 and Tammy, I counted maybe three seconds and then 00:24:44.79\00:24:47.21 she goes wait you know Rosa understood the state of 00:24:47.63\00:24:50.98 the death and she accepted it and she in fact said that 00:24:51.07\00:24:54.88 she wanted her family to understand the state of the 00:24:54.97\00:24:57.59 dead and Tammy gave a Bible study on the state of 00:24:57.67\00:25:00.93 the dead to the whole family while Rosa's laying there 00:25:00.98\00:25:03.42 almost dead on the bed. Randy wasn't that the last 00:25:03.74\00:25:07.04 Bible study she had was on the state of the dead. 00:25:07.18\00:25:09.38 Actually it wasn't, she had, they were into prophecy 00:25:10.09\00:25:12.66 by then, but she had told Tammy that her mother back 00:25:12.78\00:25:16.46 in Mexico when her brother had died her mother had 00:25:16.52\00:25:20.00 spend lots of time and money on masses and you 00:25:20.15\00:25:23.73 know things to help move her brother out of 00:25:23.94\00:25:29.02 purgatory and spend a lot of money and she said I just 00:25:29.17\00:25:32.62 wish that my mother would know the truth. 00:25:32.80\00:25:35.23 You know it just makes me think that you just never 00:25:35.84\00:25:37.62 know you know meet people in their acquainting 00:25:37.80\00:25:39.87 somebody you work with and we just assumed that 00:25:39.90\00:25:41.84 they're gonna to be there next week or the week after, 00:25:41.96\00:25:43.85 the week after that. And we hesitate sometimes to be 00:25:43.88\00:25:47.53 a little bit more bold, to have Holy boldness to step 00:25:47.75\00:25:49.70 forward and say you know Lord what can I do to be 00:25:49.83\00:25:52.71 able to share Christ with this person, to bond with this 00:25:52.80\00:25:54.91 person to make you know this person become aware 00:25:55.02\00:25:57.28 of God and what is Holy Spirit is doing. And to come 00:25:57.41\00:26:01.13 full circle that about the same the week that she 00:26:01.16\00:26:04.07 became so demented that we couldn't communicated 00:26:04.13\00:26:06.55 with her, remember I told you our house had been for 00:26:06.58\00:26:08.96 sale, we got a phone call not listed anymore, got a 00:26:09.27\00:26:12.05 phone call and said hey do you want to still sell your 00:26:12.24\00:26:13.77 house and it did. Wow, amazing, you have any last 00:26:13.92\00:26:19.88 last second thoughts you like to share with everybody 00:26:19.91\00:26:21.74 well do you. Well, one other thing that was amazing 00:26:21.98\00:26:24.76 was we won't able to be at her actual funeral service, 00:26:24.83\00:26:29.77 but the Spanish man who had been helping us with 00:26:30.39\00:26:34.04 the Bible studies. He asked the family members if it 00:26:34.08\00:26:37.01 was okay if he passed out some books to the family. 00:26:37.08\00:26:40.00 So, that day he passed out 30 great controversies and 00:26:40.55\00:26:44.06 30 Desire of Ages to the family members. So. Amen. 00:26:44.36\00:26:47.97 Yeah, God worked big. And the Lord brings a lot of 00:26:49.14\00:26:51.47 people in our paths and we need to be aware of that 00:26:51.68\00:26:54.73 situation around us all the time that person might be 00:26:54.89\00:26:57.71 there for a special reason at a special time. That God 00:26:57.90\00:27:01.00 could use us to touch their lives. Well, thank you and 00:27:01.03\00:27:03.56 God bless. Good evening ASI. Good evening. 00:27:03.70\00:27:18.85 It's a great pleasure for us coming from Europe to be 00:27:19.37\00:27:22.53 here. This evening sharing with you our experience 00:27:22.63\00:27:27.13 and how everything is going in Europe. So, I have 00:27:27.28\00:27:30.70 with me on my left side Ruben Dias, he is a ASI 00:27:30.82\00:27:33.92 Europe vice president for marketing and growth and 00:27:34.04\00:27:36.68 Radim Passer that he is the vice president for projects 00:27:36.84\00:27:40.96 and evangelism and my name is Angel Duo, I'm the 00:27:40.99\00:27:43.89 president of ASI Europe. So, we will have some 00:27:43.97\00:27:47.30 information from what is going on in the old Europe, 00:27:47.48\00:27:50.78 so Ruben what do you have for us? Good evening 00:27:50.92\00:27:53.40 ASI again. Good evening. We are happy to be here 00:27:53.45\00:27:55.98 and I want to bring you some fresh news about the 00:27:56.82\00:27:59.44 growth and what is happening at ASI Europe, 00:27:59.57\00:28:02.60 although Europe, it has a lot languages, different 00:28:03.18\00:28:07.33 cultures, there is a lot of challenges, there are many 00:28:07.48\00:28:11.65 countries as you know. I like to share a map right 00:28:11.83\00:28:15.34 now of the situation of different chapters. We have 00:28:15.51\00:28:19.95 in total 20 chapters, praise the Lord. We have 20 00:28:20.26\00:28:23.99 chapters now in Europe. We had about 7, not about 00:28:24.12\00:28:28.89 exactly 17 last year in different countries, 00:28:29.09\00:28:33.23 the main countries and in this year we can show the 00:28:33.32\00:28:36.00 map again probably. We can see three different 00:28:36.07\00:28:40.04 countries that ones that are in red, yeah red, we have 00:28:40.13\00:28:45.89 Poland, Lithuania, and Croatia. I just want to 00:28:46.04\00:28:50.53 share with you in the next photo, an interesting 00:28:50.65\00:28:54.45 detail, for example Lithuania we have right here today 00:28:54.77\00:28:57.47 the offices of Lithuania, actually they were motivated 00:28:57.98\00:29:03.05 by a ASI member in Australia. You see how the 00:29:03.93\00:29:07.54 Lord works and sometimes we don't know the impact 00:29:07.58\00:29:11.17 that we have in different people and this particular 00:29:11.34\00:29:14.03 group was motivated by an ASI member in Australia 00:29:14.09\00:29:16.70 that made them to go ahead and start their own 00:29:17.27\00:29:19.88 chapter of Lithuania. Then we also have the case of 00:29:19.94\00:29:22.92 Poland with young entrepreneurs that have 00:29:23.12\00:29:25.87 started this chapter there. And in Croatia as you see 00:29:26.00\00:29:29.32 the photo here, we had a meeting in April, this is 00:29:29.35\00:29:32.26 probably the quickest start up ASI chapter that we can 00:29:32.34\00:29:38.09 see that in about two or three months actually less 00:29:38.81\00:29:41.94 than three months that chapter was established, 00:29:42.00\00:29:46.26 praise the Lord for that. And Croatia is doing very 00:29:46.29\00:29:49.56 well, very well motivated to move forward. We have 00:29:49.69\00:29:53.27 almost 1000 members, 1000 members in Europe and 00:29:53.37\00:29:58.12 although the challenge is different cultures again and 00:29:58.32\00:30:00.80 different languages, I think that the Lord is blessing 00:30:00.89\00:30:03.65 us tremendously. Amen. So, Radim as I said he is 00:30:03.71\00:30:08.14 responsible for the projects and the evangelism. 00:30:08.41\00:30:12.02 So, he has very interesting stories for us. Good 00:30:12.15\00:30:16.70 evening ASI. Good evening. We have two main 00:30:16.73\00:30:19.59 projects in Europe, one is used for Jesus program 00:30:19.78\00:30:24.08 and second one is DVD training for working in small 00:30:24.21\00:30:27.36 groups. I think we are grateful to Lord because, 00:30:27.39\00:30:31.63 because use for Jesus program is growing in many 00:30:32.90\00:30:35.64 countries in Europe. I can mention Hungary, England, 00:30:35.77\00:30:39.99 Spain, France, Portugal, I forgot may be Czech 00:30:40.23\00:30:45.05 Republic and I would say even in the working in 00:30:45.11\00:30:49.89 small groups is in, even in some other countries. 00:30:50.14\00:30:53.76 I can show you some pictures from last year I'm 00:30:56.13\00:31:00.14 also president of Czechoslovakia ASI and we 00:31:00.34\00:31:03.78 had in last year of November 1st DVD training 00:31:03.81\00:31:06.98 program with more than 200 people. Many of them 00:31:07.01\00:31:11.30 committed to use this series. And it was also my 00:31:11.53\00:31:18.15 blessing because I could use first time in my life 00:31:18.22\00:31:22.49 twice during last year DVD program in the complete 00:31:23.22\00:31:27.46 series in our country and I could say 18 people made 00:31:27.66\00:31:33.95 decision for Baptism, five were already Baptized and 00:31:34.03\00:31:40.23 more than 40 people are studying on a regular basis 00:31:40.28\00:31:43.49 Bible. So, we hope many of them will be baptized as 00:31:44.06\00:31:48.49 well. 10 people from our country visited Tanzania, 00:31:48.62\00:31:52.68 Djibouti and to we held five meetings this Spring, 00:31:53.59\00:31:58.86 five places and 116 people were baptized and it was 00:32:00.06\00:32:04.49 I think also a blessing for many people in our country 00:32:04.90\00:32:08.03 and also in Tanzania, so praise the Lord for all this 00:32:08.20\00:32:11.68 work. Amen. So, as you see ASI Europe is active, 00:32:11.97\00:32:16.58 is working. We have great challenges, because we 00:32:16.61\00:32:20.24 cover two divisions, multilingual, multicultural, 00:32:20.27\00:32:23.70 it's not easy for us to cover the whole territory, 00:32:24.38\00:32:27.85 but in any case we are encouraging people to 00:32:28.23\00:32:30.86 become members of ASI and we want to invite you 00:32:30.90\00:32:34.33 to our convention next year. It, this convention we 00:32:34.69\00:32:39.05 have every two years will be in south Germany in a 00:32:39.10\00:32:41.66 very special place in Konstanz, a lot of you know 00:32:41.83\00:32:45.23 about the story of the protestants movement of 00:32:45.26\00:32:50.34 that reformation. So, Konstanz is a very important 00:32:50.38\00:32:53.19 place where Jan Hus was killed. So, we will have 00:32:53.34\00:32:57.70 there our convention next year mid-June. So, you are 00:32:57.80\00:33:00.88 all kindly invited we would like to see you there and 00:33:01.15\00:33:04.68 in the mean time God bless you all and enjoy this 00:33:04.71\00:33:08.18 convention as every year we do. Amen. 00:33:08.26\00:33:11.52 Good evening. Good evening. I love ASI, how about 00:33:25.48\00:33:28.40 you? Amen. Praise God. You know I have a friend of 00:33:28.50\00:33:32.84 mine here with me. Tell us your name. My name is 00:33:32.87\00:33:38.23 James Hartley. James, where are you from. I'm from 00:33:38.45\00:33:41.44 Wildwood, North Georgia just outside of 00:33:41.56\00:33:43.94 Chattanooga. And so what do you do there in 00:33:44.18\00:33:47.06 Wildwood. Wildwood is a location of our 00:33:47.80\00:33:50.43 headquarters for a new ministry called LIGHT. 00:33:50.63\00:33:52.52 It's called its a acronym for the Lay Institute for 00:33:52.98\00:33:55.11 Global Health Training. So, you what kind of training 00:33:55.28\00:34:00.25 do you do? We offer our short courses in help 00:34:00.67\00:34:03.93 evangelism. We do that all over the world. Well, 00:34:04.00\00:34:08.14 all over the world, so you're doing training, 00:34:08.17\00:34:11.55 are you training pastors? Sometimes pastors sit in, 00:34:12.36\00:34:16.41 but our emphasis is on training lay members because 00:34:16.54\00:34:19.43 we believe pastors are alone are not equal to 00:34:19.46\00:34:21.96 spreading the gospel to the whole world. So, we are 00:34:22.08\00:34:24.40 working to equip and train lay members so they can 00:34:24.51\00:34:26.83 be involved in their communities and in their 00:34:26.98\00:34:29.07 churches to win souls for Jesus. So, when you train 00:34:29.16\00:34:34.58 these people I mean are you train them like ten at a 00:34:34.61\00:34:37.14 time or are you doing a few meetings you know 00:34:37.29\00:34:40.73 around the world in a year. How do you do that? Sure, 00:34:41.28\00:34:43.89 well we emphasize mostly a four week training 00:34:44.14\00:34:47.38 course. And we usually have 20 to 30 students 00:34:47.48\00:34:52.37 because we're teaching them to do health expos. 00:34:52.64\00:34:54.76 We are teaching them about the health message. 00:34:55.17\00:34:58.54 teaching them how to apply hydro therapy treatments, 00:34:59.05\00:35:02.41 massage, cooking classes. It's very practical, it's very 00:35:02.66\00:35:05.53 hands on so we can't really fit too many into a course. 00:35:05.81\00:35:08.99 So, you can't fit too many people, how many people 00:35:09.99\00:35:13.10 attend on average, the lay people, now these are Lay 00:35:13.68\00:35:16.75 People that he's training, how many people usually 00:35:16.99\00:35:21.17 attend one and how long is the training? Well, we do 00:35:21.25\00:35:24.19 it for a month. That's our standard course. We also 00:35:24.24\00:35:27.23 have a six months training course, but last year we did 00:35:27.52\00:35:30.60 42 one month training courses. Now, how do we do 00:35:31.03\00:35:35.40 so many just because what we are doing is really 00:35:35.48\00:35:37.94 offering mission opportunities for graduates, 00:35:38.19\00:35:40.51 they come out of schools like Wildwood Lifestyle 00:35:41.03\00:35:42.91 Centers or Uchee Pines, LIFE, Lay Institute For 00:35:43.02\00:35:47.10 Evangelism and several other schools, OCI, Outpost 00:35:47.17\00:35:50.41 Centers International Schools around the world. 00:35:50.44\00:35:52.11 We are using those graduates that have usually had at 00:35:52.34\00:35:54.36 least 4 to 6 months training and we are giving them a 00:35:54.39\00:35:56.93 training package as, it's a course that is 4 weeks long 00:35:57.05\00:36:01.42 and it's an intensive, all day training where they 00:36:02.10\00:36:04.02 go through the essentials, strip down essentials for 00:36:04.10\00:36:06.65 soul winning and reaching people with the health 00:36:06.70\00:36:08.88 message and the Gospel and so these courses we're 00:36:09.03\00:36:12.92 sending out teams of usually 3 and 4 teachers that will 00:36:12.99\00:36:16.60 train 20 to 30 students. So, it's kind of a 00:36:16.73\00:36:21.25 self-supporting work. Yeah. In other words 00:36:21.77\00:36:24.83 everybody is kind to helping everybody else and kind 00:36:25.35\00:36:27.95 of up the challenge. Yeah that's right, that's right. 00:36:27.98\00:36:30.75 Although, the teachers that we use they're usually 00:36:31.20\00:36:33.59 students that are coming out and they have a personal 00:36:33.62\00:36:35.92 responsibility where they're raising money for their 00:36:36.09\00:36:38.39 airfare. And some of them are committing up to a 00:36:38.42\00:36:40.67 year in the mission field, we still have some students 00:36:40.94\00:36:43.33 in India. We went there in January where we did 12 00:36:43.65\00:36:47.90 one month courses simultaneously over actually 00:36:48.09\00:36:51.04 January and February, trained 350 lay members and 00:36:51.11\00:36:55.51 then we had several students, we sent 30 missionaries 00:36:55.79\00:36:58.87 there and we still have several that are working 00:36:59.02\00:37:01.30 there because we're running three 6 month courses 00:37:01.36\00:37:03.56 there as well and we're finishing those up soon. 00:37:03.59\00:37:06.18 Okay, so you're doing that and when did you start 00:37:07.35\00:37:10.21 doing this training? We initially started couple of 00:37:10.74\00:37:13.64 years ago, in 2008 we did about 20 one month 00:37:13.67\00:37:16.51 courses. In the so in the 20 one month courses how 00:37:16.57\00:37:21.51 many people did you train? Maybe about 500. 00:37:21.54\00:37:23.76 About 500 lay people. That's right. That took a 00:37:24.09\00:37:26.78 month out of their time in the different countries. 00:37:26.96\00:37:29.88 Full commitment. And what you in the next year. 00:37:29.98\00:37:32.82 Next year, 42. So, you had 42 training session. 00:37:32.98\00:37:37.41 About how many people you usually train. 00:37:37.59\00:37:38.56 Trained about a 1000 people. Trained about a 1000 00:37:38.58\00:37:40.77 people. Yeah and this year we've done 46 one month 00:37:40.82\00:37:44.91 courses in all 6 continents. We are doing them in 00:37:45.00\00:37:47.78 Australia, Philippians, Indonesia, all through Africa 00:37:48.12\00:37:53.26 and South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and then also in 00:37:53.46\00:37:57.57 Guatemala, Honduras, Brazil, throughout in the 00:37:58.38\00:38:02.34 Caribbean, Bermuda, Bahamas, in United States 00:38:02.61\00:38:05.32 and then in Europe, Ireland, England, Italy, 00:38:05.35\00:38:09.68 Switzerland, yeah more can't think of them all. 00:38:12.86\00:38:16.20 So, how many do you think you're gonna to train this 00:38:16.41\00:38:18.72 year and what's the goal for next year? Well, 00:38:18.82\00:38:21.30 this year we're hoping to get 70 courses done and 00:38:21.35\00:38:24.42 train about 2500 and then next year, we just hope it 00:38:24.74\00:38:27.46 keeps multiplying as we just keep adding, we just 00:38:27.59\00:38:29.73 hope that the students, it's kind of a design that the 00:38:29.88\00:38:31.99 students, that, we train people to go out. So, we 00:38:32.07\00:38:34.83 pray it just multiplies so that every Adventist can get 00:38:34.93\00:38:38.38 an opportunity to get trained, because one thing 00:38:38.41\00:38:40.67 I notice I've been able to travel to over 35 countries 00:38:40.70\00:38:45.19 and I've noticed in most countries, most parts of the 00:38:45.22\00:38:47.62 world and our Church members don't have a chance 00:38:47.70\00:38:50.23 for short Lay Training courses it's usually the only 00:38:50.31\00:38:53.77 option is to go a four year theology school to become 00:38:53.85\00:38:57.10 a pastor but that's not allowed a lay training 00:38:57.13\00:38:58.90 courses. So, they apply to the U.S. or Europe for this 00:38:59.13\00:39:02.30 courses. So, we want to them to be trained in their 00:39:02.82\00:39:05.39 country, in their language. So, we have a curriculum 00:39:05.42\00:39:08.06 that we're using that we've developed from our 00:39:08.26\00:39:09.65 various schools we are working with. And we're 00:39:10.01\00:39:11.79 translating into several languages and we have it in 00:39:11.99\00:39:13.71 Portuguese and Spanish and German and Russian. 00:39:13.98\00:39:16.52 So, what do you do in our last moments here? Tell me 00:39:16.91\00:39:20.42 what you've added now to the training program? 00:39:20.66\00:39:24.27 Yeah this is exciting. That just started this week. 00:39:24.73\00:39:28.02 That's right. In Guatemala we added a new feature 00:39:28.34\00:39:31.74 working with ASI, the new beginnings training. 00:39:31.98\00:39:34.53 So we have, we did 4 one month courses going on 00:39:34.97\00:39:38.19 simultaneously with our students in Guatemala and 00:39:38.31\00:39:40.32 Belize and then on the weekends we bring all the 00:39:40.68\00:39:42.90 Church members that can come for the DVD training. 00:39:43.02\00:39:45.49 So, we're training our students to train the Church 00:39:45.71\00:39:48.18 to give the new beginnings DVD which is also now 00:39:49.15\00:39:51.24 coupled with the Abundant Living health talks which 00:39:51.75\00:39:53.43 we're excited about. Which ASI added this 00:39:53.57\00:39:56.25 this year the Abundant Living health 00:39:56.29\00:39:58.00 talks In the DVDs. That's right. 00:39:58.08\00:40:00.09 And so and the one that we did that you, you just 00:40:00.12\00:40:03.48 did down in Guatemala, how many different 00:40:03.51\00:40:05.81 Churches came to learn about how to use the DVD? 00:40:05.84\00:40:09.46 We had 18 different churches represented in 00:40:09.49\00:40:11.81 small groups and so we trained 120 different 00:40:11.84\00:40:15.22 members in our one month courses but then 00:40:15.25\00:40:18.34 we also invited we had a big training of 200 that 00:40:18.37\00:40:21.16 came in for the DVD and next week on next 00:40:21.19\00:40:23.99 Sabbath and Sunday we're gonna run training 00:40:24.02\00:40:26.02 in Belize another 100 that will be trained. 00:40:26.05\00:40:28.40 So, I think next year as things are developing and 00:40:28.93\00:40:33.01 we continue to add the DVD I hope you guys 00:40:33.04\00:40:35.15 have a lot of DVDs for us 'cause 00:40:35.18\00:40:36.46 I think we will need about 10,000. 00:40:36.49\00:40:38.09 10,000 DVD, can you say Praise God? Praise God. 00:40:38.81\00:40:42.77 That's what we are looking to do. 00:40:42.94\00:40:44.41 That's the training, taking it out there and you know 00:40:44.44\00:40:47.82 it's listed in the offering this year, but this is part 00:40:48.58\00:40:51.91 of what our offering goes for is the DVDs and the 00:40:51.94\00:40:56.94 training that's going on around the world that it's 00:40:56.97\00:41:00.60 exponentially growing and this is just one 00:41:00.63\00:41:04.05 example of people taking that DVD training and 00:41:04.08\00:41:08.47 how it's growing. Amen. Thank you. Thank you. 00:41:08.50\00:41:11.48 And I have another guest. Now I'll tell you I was a 00:41:19.46\00:41:22.28 little nervous for a minute because he was, he was 00:41:22.31\00:41:25.07 back there and then he was gone and I'm going 00:41:25.10\00:41:27.47 oh, oh. So, you go there, now 00:43:05.57\00:43:08.85 do you tell them you're Seventh-day 00:43:08.88\00:43:10.13 Adventist or do you hide? No, no, no, now we're 00:43:10.16\00:43:14.69 Seventh-day Adventists. We'll go into a Mosque, 00:43:14.72\00:43:17.39 we'll introduce ourselves. We, the first thing that 00:43:17.42\00:43:21.99 I learned is we are Seventh-day Adventist. 00:43:22.02\00:43:23.92 So, you've spoken in a Mosque? Yes. 00:43:23.95\00:43:27.50 As a Seventh Day Adventist. As a Seventh Day Adventist, 00:43:27.53\00:43:29.86 yes, we're actually invited to speak in a 00:43:29.89\00:43:34.94 mosque as a Seventh-day Adventist to deliver a 00:43:34.97\00:43:39.14 message on whatever we believed or whatever 00:43:39.17\00:43:42.38 I believed as a Seventh- day Adventist that Islam 00:43:42.41\00:43:44.93 needed to hear. And I was given 30 minutes and at 00:43:44.96\00:43:51.21 the end of the 30 minutes, the leader of the Mosque 00:43:51.24\00:43:56.14 said to me to continue, he said this is important, 00:43:56.90\00:44:02.10 continue, take as long as you want, we'll abandon 00:44:02.71\00:44:05.13 the evening program, so I spoke for 00:44:05.16\00:44:07.26 2 hours and 40 minutes. 00:44:07.29\00:44:09.22 Now, what did you speak on for 2 hours and 40 minutes? 00:44:10.82\00:44:15.18 I explained who we are as Seventh-day Adventists, 00:44:16.69\00:44:19.86 I certainly impressed the importance of prophecy 00:44:20.39\00:44:24.31 and at the end of the lecture. 00:44:25.21\00:44:27.95 Like Daniel 2. I started from, just 00:44:27.98\00:44:32.77 another view from Genesis to Revelation 00:44:32.80\00:44:36.37 and at the end of it I was invited to return to deliver 00:44:36.40\00:44:42.71 the prophetic warning to Islam, so.. 00:44:42.74\00:44:45.48 Wait a minute. You were able to deliver a prophetic 00:44:45.94\00:44:50.82 warning to Islam and they listened. 00:44:50.85\00:44:54.43 We've gone from Daniel 2 through Revelation 14 00:44:55.70\00:44:59.22 to this day plus topical subjects. We have been 00:44:59.72\00:45:06.26 live streamed throughout he Islamic world. 00:45:06.29\00:45:08.68 There's been no problems, we've been 00:45:08.71\00:45:12.26 identified as the true people of the book, the 00:45:12.29\00:45:15.20 book being the Bible, that Seventh-day Adventists 00:45:15.23\00:45:18.50 are the true people of the book. The leader of, that 00:45:18.53\00:45:24.74 particular leader had visions to that effect and 00:45:24.77\00:45:29.26 it's interesting Terry that we've been, he knows 00:45:32.84\00:45:38.49 who we are, that we are Seventh-day Adventists. 00:45:38.52\00:45:41.13 So, we're not hiding that we're Seventh-day 00:45:42.25\00:45:43.94 Adventists. You are going into the Mosque; you are 00:45:43.97\00:45:45.80 talking to the Muslims that as a Seventh-day 00:45:45.83\00:45:49.45 Adventist and what we believe. Yup. 00:45:49.48\00:45:51.82 And they're interested in the Three Angels Message. 00:45:51.85\00:45:54.88 Yes, and we actually, we're only a small 00:45:55.45\00:46:00.28 ministry but we're developing materials. 00:46:00.31\00:46:02.22 We have a DVD that we actually debut in the 00:46:02.25\00:46:06.31 Mosque, show cased it in the Mosque, they're 00:46:06.34\00:46:08.09 copying it and they're distributing it. 00:46:08.12\00:46:12.78 So, they're distributing a DVD that you helped 00:46:13.93\00:46:17.88 produce in the Mosques. Alright, well. 00:46:17.91\00:46:21.85 And they're happily receiving this. 00:46:22.57\00:46:25.83 Oh yes, yeah, yeah, and we have some tracks, we 00:46:26.31\00:46:29.10 have some other materials which you know you're 00:46:29.13\00:46:31.54 most welcome, people are most welcome to the 00:46:31.57\00:46:33.49 booth to see. But, the Sheik did give us a little 00:46:33.52\00:46:39.03 warning though, he said, he said I know who you 00:46:39.06\00:46:41.57 are, but if you are whom you claim be, how can 00:46:41.60\00:46:44.81 you be a 1500 years old and Islam has never heard 00:46:44.84\00:46:47.51 of you, never heard of Seventh-day Adventists, 00:46:47.54\00:46:49.32 but then he quickly went on to say however he said 00:46:49.35\00:46:53.79 you have a responsibility with your message to take 00:46:53.82\00:46:56.78 it to the world, a responsibility to God, 00:46:56.81\00:46:59.09 otherwise you'll be judged by God and we're 00:46:59.12\00:47:01.61 to take that message unbridled. We are not to 00:47:01.64\00:47:07.37 compromise our doctrines or our beliefs in any 00:47:09.06\00:47:12.38 shape of form. And this, hold on, let me 00:47:12.41\00:47:15.15 interrupt you. This is the leader or one of the local 00:47:15.18\00:47:19.44 leaders was telling you this is what we as 00:47:19.47\00:47:23.77 Seventh-day Adventists needed to do. 00:47:23.80\00:47:25.41 Yes, precisely. And that particular 00:47:25.44\00:47:28.81 Mosque has profound influence in the world and 00:47:28.84\00:47:33.36 they actually were given, we gave them a copy of 00:47:34.06\00:47:38.44 the Great Controversy. They read it, they had a 00:47:38.47\00:47:42.81 girl in the office photocopy it six times, 00:47:42.84\00:47:46.19 it was stapled together, two chapters at a time, 00:47:46.22\00:47:48.34 handed out throughout the Mosque for the whole 00:47:48.37\00:47:50.25 Mosque to read and his response was 00:47:50.28\00:47:54.13 this is the most profound book. 00:47:54.16\00:47:56.03 Can we say amen? Amen. 00:47:56.77\00:47:58.73 This is, this stirs my heart that these people would 00:48:00.14\00:48:05.71 called the book that has the greatest impact on our 00:48:05.74\00:48:10.46 Church. And what did they tell it, 00:48:10.49\00:48:12.81 what did they say about. The most profound book. 00:48:12.84\00:48:14.55 The most profound book, amen. Amen. 00:48:14.79\00:48:18.70 You know again, this is the type of thing that we 00:48:19.02\00:48:22.90 support in our offerings. This is members in 00:48:22.93\00:48:25.75 action, these are people who go and work in 00:48:25.78\00:48:29.63 communities that we thought would be very 00:48:29.66\00:48:34.47 difficult to work in and they have open 00:48:34.50\00:48:38.24 arms when you go in with the truth. 00:48:38.27\00:48:41.42
