As our children were growing up,

privilege where Rosemary did

of reading the stories
about our missionaries.

Our children would
sit there each night

and every time we came
to the end of the chapter,

it was time to go
to bed, they would say,

You know, it wasn't very long

before our family left Australia

and we headed overseas to Nepal,

and we ourselves
became missionaries.

And while we were there,
we had a wonderful experience.

working here in America

And it was only when we went out

we went to Bangkok,

out there, you are isolated,

way of reinforcing

what impact this was gonna

back into the normal everyday

secular work that
we have done before."

We never imagined to
ever be standing here

and this is our fourth
3ABN Spring Camp Meeting,

so I praise God
for that opportunity,

something we never
believed that we would ever do,

let alone, well, come here once,

let alone four times.

But the story that I am going
to tell you takes place back

where we live in
Western Australia.

A few years ago, we headed off

for our first trip
around Australia to spread 3ABN

further than Western Australia.

And just before we did
that, we met up with a couple

who had been
watching the searched videos.

You probably
haven't heard of them,

they're produced by
the Australian Media Center

with the Evangelist Geoff Youlde

as the main speaker,

and they're
advertized on television

and people came phoning
to receive these videos,

and church members take
them to the people's homes.

You know, one week
around, a new video each week,

and I used that as a
way to try introduce people

to the truths of the Bible.

Well, there was a couple
who were receiving those videos

and this story has actually been

in one of the
3ABN World magazines.

Some of you might have read
about Doug and Lynette Lily.

We have a photograph of
them that we will put up too.

Doug and Lynette were
coming along to a meeting

when they'd
finish the search ones.

And when we met
them, we said to them,

So we had some

because we were away.

Well, that couple
spent time watching 3ABN

and they were so impressed.

They starting
videoing the programs

to give to friends

and they were also baptized

into the Adventist
Church in July, 2004.

After watching
3ABN they said that

all of their
questions were answered

through watching 3ABN.

Now, Lynette is not well person,

she has post-polio syndrome
and a couple of other illnesses

and she can't get
to church every week.

So 3ABN has become her church

because she's too ill
most of the time to attend,

but Doug visits
church each week.

And as this couple have
continued on watching 3ABN,

they have videoed more
programs and they've got books,

been handing them out

to their friends
from the other churches

that they've attended before.

We had the privilege of
putting in a satellite dish

for their neighbor, Isabelle,

because they impacted Isabelle
with what they were hearing.

And we put it in for Isabelle,

and one day she
was going to attend

the Adventist
Church for the first time

when John was going to preach

at that particular local church.

Unfortunately,
that Friday night,

she suffered a heart attack

and she has not been
able to attend church at all

in the Adventist Church,

but she considers
herself a Seventh-day Adventist,

and she watches 3ABN
00:08:29.90\00:08:31.71
because it is church for her.

Now, Lynette and
Doug were spreading

what they could of these
videos that they were taping,

and some of them, they
sent to a friend of theirs

up in Perth

who was a Pentecostal lady,

and they sent her lots
of books and lots of videos,

and then earlier
this year, that lady died,

but they had no
idea of the impact
00:08:55.83\00:08:57.87
that these books and
videos it had on her life.

So the daughter
contacted them and said,

you know, would you
like these things back?

So they decided to
take them with them

and they took them
to the memorial service

that was held down
where they live in Bunbury

for this lady that had died.

And at that memorial service
they had it announced that

anybody there was able to
take any of the books or videos

that they wanted out of this box

this lady who had died.

Well, they
couldn't believe their eyes.

Well, there was a couple
who took some of the videos.

but they took a few things.

When they looked at them
and when they read the book,

they found that they were
in harmony with each other,

that there was a
perfect wholeness

that went through
all of these things

and they started to take
notice of what they were hearing

and what they were reading,

impact on their lives.

He came to Bunbury

and did a two
weeks evangelistic series

and who turned up at the series?

But this couple Mike and Jenny.

We didn't know who they were.

We didn't know
why they were there,

but they came from
the very first night

and attended every meeting,

and it was a week later
that we heard the story.

because they were at a funeral

and they are very convicted

impact on their children,

a little baby named Seth

and they had him
dedicated by the local pastor

in the Adventist Church.

So the
grandparents have been baptized

and the grandson
had been dedicated,

and they story
doesn't finish there either

because two weeks ago,

two weeks ago today

Now each one of us
