scholar that went over to,

that language originated,

and he went into a
class and in this class,

he was told that
there was a young man
00:01:18.34\00:01:20.17
that had memorized
the entire Old Testament.

So he decided he was going
to interview this young student.
00:01:24.22\00:01:28.92
And he went to this
young student and he asked him,
00:01:28.93\00:01:30.82
if he can make an appointment.
00:01:30.83\00:01:32.10
And they did just that.
00:01:32.11\00:01:33.95
And when they sat down to meet,
00:01:33.96\00:01:36.80
this, this visitor to the,
00:01:36.81\00:01:39.10
to the Palestine
asked this young student
00:01:39.11\00:01:43.07
if he would begin to
quote scripture for him
00:01:43.08\00:01:45.49
from the Old Testament.

And so he began
to quote scripture.

And then the visitor to
Palestine asked this young man

if he would quote
specific scripture,

could he please
begin at the beginning

of the Book of
Psalms and just continue

until he asked him
to go to another Psalm.

And this young student recited

Psalm 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

all through the Book of Psalms.

The amazed visitor
couldn't even comprehend

that this young man had all
of that scripture memorized.

And at the end of
the Book of Psalms,

the visitor asked
this young man, he said,

"Tell me, what has
this done for your life?"

The young man says, "I
don't understand the question."

How do you mean, what
has it done for my life?

this deepened your relationship

with God and with Jesus?"

And the young man said,

"I have no relationship

the Bible was approached

rather than the word of life,

allowed to make a difference
