there is a little boy
standing right next to him.

That's the Roman
centurion and you see

knot welling up in his throat

picture of the future

the scripture gives us
a very sad picture there.

Before the grand climax
of the Book of Revelation

it gives us a sad picture.

I want you to
know this what it says.

First of all it says

"Blessed are they
that do his commandments,

that they may have
right to the tree of life,

and may enter in through
the gates into the city."

Now do you
remember in Revelation 2:7
00:11:12.43\00:11:15.76
the Lord said that
"To him that overcometh
00:11:15.79\00:11:18.41
will I give to eat
of the tree of life,
00:11:18.44\00:11:21.04
which is in the
midst of the paradise."

So obviously the decide that
God has is to than you and I

can actually be with Him

and be able to
partake of that tree.

Now forward to ask

But the next passage is
the one that brings sorrow

dogs, and sorcerers,

and whoremongers, and
murderers, and idolaters,

and whosoever
loveth and maketh a lie."

Our friends, so be people inside
00:11:51.57\00:11:54.07
but unfortunately they
will be people outside.
00:11:54.10\00:11:58.02
And those that
are outside are lost.

By the way I should add this,

one time a dear
sweet lady came up to me

and she had tears in her eyes

because she had just
read this particular passage

and she was very concerned

that her dog would
not be with her in heaven.

And so she said, pastor,
will my dog be in heaven?

And I said my
sister, that is not talking
00:12:17.22\00:12:20.18
about an animal that's
talking about a quality.
00:12:20.21\00:12:23.64
What a-- characteristic.

the characteristic.

Notice it is
combined there with sorcerers,

whoremongers, idolaters

and whosoever
loveth and maketh a lie.

So these are characteristics
of people who do evil

and dogs is included in that.

Now you may ask a question,
oh, what is a dog then?

We know what a whoremonger
is, we know what a sorcerer is,
00:12:46.92\00:12:49.43
we know what a murderer is,
00:12:49.46\00:12:51.18
we know what a liar
is but what is a dog?
00:12:51.21\00:12:56.20
Well, in Isaiah Chapter 56
00:12:56.23\00:12:59.15
you could find the
answer there in verse 10,
00:12:59.18\00:13:01.92
you'll find that the Bible
says that a dog is a minister
00:13:01.95\00:13:05.94
or preacher or
shepherd who does not bark.
00:13:05.97\00:13:08.86
In other words, those who
have sick responsibilities
00:13:08.89\00:13:12.02
but who are not warned to
people about their dangers
00:13:12.05\00:13:15.10
are considered to be
dumb dogs who do not bark.
00:13:15.13\00:13:20.14
And so there you have it
the Bible is revealing then

that there will be
people outside of the city
00:13:22.97\00:13:25.00
who will be lost.

Now why are they lost?

Because they have
committed this thing

which we are studying
tonight called the what?

The unpardonable sin.

But listen, did
they hear the invitation?

Yes, if you know this in
verse 17 of that same chapter

you will discover that
there is an invitation.

Verse 17 of chapter 22 says

"And the Spirit and
the Bride say, Come."

And then it says, "And let him
that hear likewise say, Come.

And let him that
is a thrist come.

And whosoever" now
notice what it says what?

"Whosoever will, let him
take the water of life freely."

My friends, all of us have
an open invitation to come,

Presbyterian friend

to convince me that

I was locked into a
mold as you know some of our

Presbyterian
friends believe that,

that you are predestined.

And so he showed
me a text showing me
00:14:47.47\00:14:49.39
that I was Presbyterian.
00:14:49.42\00:14:50.45
And I said I can't
believe that. He said why not?
00:14:50.48\00:14:52.51
Because I like to
think when Jesus says,
00:14:52.54\00:14:55.39
"For God so loved the world,
00:14:55.42\00:14:57.01
that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever"
00:14:57.04\00:15:00.83
I would like to think
I'm one of those whosoever
00:15:00.86\00:15:03.76
and I would like to
believe that God gives me
00:15:03.79\00:15:07.22
the opportunity just
like He gives it to everyone.

The challenge is that the Bible
does speak about predestination

but it speaks
about it in this wise.

If you were to buy a ticket
right now you got on the train
00:15:16.55\00:15:19.55
that suppose you are in Germany
00:15:19.58\00:15:21.54
and you got in
the train in Frankford
00:15:21.57\00:15:24.43
and that train was
destined to go to Nuremberg.
00:15:24.46\00:15:28.56
As long as you stay on
that train you are predestined.
00:15:28.59\00:15:31.88
You're predestined
to get to Nuremberg.
00:15:31.91\00:15:33.86
If you get off that
train then you are predestined

wherever you get off at.

And so the Bible reveals to us

that God has made
a way to salvation

and if you get on that
way to salvation guess what,

you are predestined to
get because God has provided

necessary in that track

to make sure that you get there.

But friends, if you
do not get on that track

and you decide to
get on the other row

which is broad
and wide as Jesus said

then you are
predestined to go there as well.

And so it is your
choice and my choice.

Aren't you glad that
God gives us choices?

us have the opportunity.

matter how poor you are,

matter how rich you are

the important thing is
that there is a way open

and whosoever includes you.

What do you say? Now,
what about this sin then?

If the doors are open then
why is that people are left out?

Why is that people are lost?
Well, Jesus made a statement.

In Matthew 12:31, 32 it
says, "Wherefore I say unto you,

All manner of sin and
blasphemy" all manner of what?

"Of sin and blasphemy
shall be forgiven unto men
00:16:47.51\00:16:53.25
but the blasphemy
against the Holy Ghost

shall not be forgiven unto men."

Notice it says, all manner
00:16:58.15\00:17:00.24
except the blasphemy
against the Holy Ghost.
00:17:00.27\00:17:02.75
Now why does it say that?

I want you to
notice the next part.

"Whosoever speaketh a
word against the Son of man,

it shall be forgiven him,

neither in this world,

Now you understand why it is

that some are inside the
city and some are outside.

In other words, my
friends, those are inside

have not committed this thing
called the unpardonable sin

but those who are
outside have already committed

that thing called
the unpardonable sin.

Well, then what it is
and what does it mean?

First of all I should
remind you all of this

that in the Book of 1
John 1:9 that wonderful promise

the Bible says,
"If we confess" what?

"Our sins, he is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins,

and to" do what else?
00:17:57.50\00:17:59.14
"To cleanse us from
all unrighteousness."
00:17:59.17\00:18:01.35
My friends, if you take nothing
else with you from this seminar

then just that promise
you have taken with you

a wonderful
think, what do you say?

And so the Bible
says that if we confess,

that's the

If we confess our sins
He will then do the rest.

He is faithful
and just to forgive us

But so what is the sin
then that God can't forgive?

and He forgives it

and there is a sin He
cannot forgive then what is it?

Well, I should
tell you first of all

that the unpardonable
sin is not murder or killing.

The reason for that is,

we know that Moses and Paul
himself both murdered someone.

We know that Moses
murdered the Egyptians.
00:18:48.35\00:18:50.46
We know that Paul was a
zealot taking Christians
00:18:50.49\00:18:54.75
and taking them to prison
and having them execute it.
00:18:54.78\00:18:57.87
So we know that these
both men who became godly men
00:18:57.90\00:19:01.98
both have murdered
yet they were forgiven.
00:19:02.01\00:19:04.55
And we understand for
example that Moses himself
00:19:04.58\00:19:09.03
was the one who
appeared to Christ
00:19:09.06\00:19:10.97
when Christ was
struggling about the decision
00:19:11.00\00:19:13.92
to go through to
die for you and for me.
00:19:13.95\00:19:17.88
So we know that Moses was there,
00:19:17.91\00:19:19.65
we know that Paul
who murdered people,
00:19:19.68\00:19:23.18
we know that he said that he
longs to see the Master come.

Well, what about the adultery?

It cannot be adultery
aided because we know that

David committed adultery
and yet God forgave him.

What do you say? So
can God forgive adultery?

What's the answer? Yes.

Well, then what
about for example cursing?

Some people think
is a horrible cursing

that you do against God
and God can't forgive you.

Well, the
scripture says that Peter

in order to distance
himself at that moment

where he was
tested of his filthy

and his faithfulness to
Christ the scripture says

that Peter buckled under
the pressure and began to curse.

And when he began to curse

he did that with that
intent of making a distinction,

separation between
him and the Savior.

And then the
Bible reveals that Peter

when he realized
hearing the rooster crowing
00:20:22.00\00:20:26.40
the scripture
says that he went out

into the darkness
and wept bitterly.
00:20:28.16\00:20:32.97
But we know then
that after that experience

that Jesus appeared
to all the disciples

and when the angels are
spoke of the resurrection

they said, go
and tell the brethren

and Peter, it's
interesting and who and Peter.

And we know later on
Peter became that great preacher
00:20:50.49\00:20:54.15
on the day of Pentecost when
the Holy Ghost came upon them

and through his preaching
God mightily shook that nation

and thousands of
people responded to Christ.

And we are told that
3,000 were baptized in that day.

That was a glorious experience.
And who was it that God used?

Boy, it was
Peter. Who was Peter?

He cursed like a
sailor. He was a fisherman.

But God can change
even the cursing person.

God can convert the murderer

and also God can
