to give their belongings

individuals felt that

signing the contracts
would give clear evidence

that they believed

they would never
need their homes again.

And so they
actually signed contracts.

Attorneys were enlisted
and contracts were signed.

And people actually waited

in the streets
of Sydney, Australia

and in Korea and other places

with their suitcases
waiting to be rapture.

You see they banked on it.

They believed it would happen.

been a denial of faith

not to sign those
contracts and give everything up

to demonstrate
that it would happen.

unfortunately it did not happen

and if you notice
one side of the street

you had people
protesting calling them what?

Liars and on the other
side you had a placard that said

"Jesus is coming at 1
a.m. 29th of October, 1992."

And the newspaper
said "No sudden" what

"vanishing in Gladesville."

In other words,
to anticipate it,

it all of
suddenly would disappear

but they did not disappear.

And so people who were skeptics
and scoffers had their heyday.

They mocked these people

and unfortunately
for those who believed

they became victims of
terrible circumstances.

Can you imagine
having to start life

all over again with nothing?

And can you imagine having

with that spot against you.

A fanatic.

people would call them what?

Well, the belief in
the coming of Christ,

thousands of His saints.'

who predicted this?

How long ago was that then?

it was predicted that
the messiah would come,

the Christ would come

come has been believed

predicted for centuries

Now the problem is
that for us we would say,

we think quickly it's tomorrow.
