Welcome to the presidential update. 00:00:50.45\00:00:54.12 It seems we're still on lockdown 00:00:54.15\00:00:56.25 throughout most of the world, 00:00:56.28\00:00:58.19 yet we here at Adventist World Aviation 00:00:58.22\00:01:00.16 are doing our best to help the local indigenous peoples 00:01:00.19\00:01:02.72 around the world 00:01:02.76\00:01:04.09 as well as those in the United States 00:01:04.13\00:01:07.60 that we can bring some relief to. 00:01:07.63\00:01:12.43 Throughout the world, we are offering comfort care. 00:01:12.47\00:01:15.37 However, we are challenged 00:01:15.40\00:01:17.21 with the fact that our missionaries 00:01:17.24\00:01:19.61 are locked down in many cases as well. 00:01:19.64\00:01:23.45 Not to mention the shortage that we have of resourcing. 00:01:23.48\00:01:27.98 Resourcing means everything in times like these. 00:01:28.02\00:01:32.02 And, well, we have 00:01:32.05\00:01:36.32 many opportunities to help. 00:01:36.36\00:01:38.46 We have limited resources in order to do such. 00:01:38.49\00:01:42.23 When you live your life 00:01:52.17\00:01:53.61 in a country 00:01:56.71\00:01:59.11 that has very few modern conveniences 00:01:59.15\00:02:03.79 that we take in the United States 00:02:03.82\00:02:05.85 for granted, things like food, 00:02:05.89\00:02:09.89 clean food, clean water. 00:02:09.92\00:02:13.76 How do you survive? 00:02:13.80\00:02:17.57 The reality is many of them don't, 00:02:17.60\00:02:19.03 the attrition rate of children 00:02:19.07\00:02:20.84 in some of these regions is so great 00:02:20.87\00:02:25.07 that they don't even name their babies. 00:02:25.11\00:02:28.14 And until they reach, 00:02:28.18\00:02:33.48 when they're school aged that they get a name, 00:02:33.52\00:02:36.35 they'll nickname their kids in the meantime. 00:02:36.38\00:02:40.52 I guess it's a way so they don't become attached 00:02:40.56\00:02:45.49 but, you know, 00:02:45.53\00:02:47.16 you love the baby the day it's born. 00:02:47.20\00:02:50.50 Children die all the time. 00:02:50.53\00:02:53.37 So many of them can be prevented, 00:02:53.40\00:02:55.10 when we go into an area 00:02:55.14\00:02:56.47 the attrition rate goes way down. 00:02:56.50\00:02:59.84 And we're able to save by medevacing these kids out 00:02:59.87\00:03:04.11 when they're ill right away. 00:03:04.15\00:03:07.75 The pandemic that's been sweeping the world is, 00:03:07.78\00:03:11.49 it got us all on lockdown. 00:03:11.52\00:03:13.96 We're doing the best we can. 00:03:13.99\00:03:17.16 Right now, we need help more than ever. 00:03:17.19\00:03:20.63 Life in the jungle 00:03:20.66\00:03:23.80 isn't always exciting. 00:03:23.83\00:03:27.30 You know, we think of movies 00:03:27.34\00:03:28.80 like Indiana Jones and Incision. 00:03:28.84\00:03:33.11 But life isn't like that, reality is harsh. 00:03:33.14\00:03:36.14 Death is real. 00:03:36.18\00:03:38.75 The needs 00:03:38.78\00:03:41.78 for food, water, 00:03:41.82\00:03:45.02 clothing, something as simple as clothing. 00:03:45.05\00:03:48.72 A lot of people want to send us clothes. 00:03:48.76\00:03:50.99 We don't need you to send clothes, 00:03:51.03\00:03:52.36 we could buy clothes locally. 00:03:52.39\00:03:54.00 In fact, it costs probably four or five times as much. 00:03:54.03\00:03:57.73 We don't know what to do sometimes 00:03:57.77\00:03:59.10 because people will send the items 00:03:59.13\00:04:00.64 and really it costs sometimes four or five times 00:04:00.67\00:04:03.67 as much to ship those items as it would be 00:04:03.71\00:04:05.84 if we would just have the resources, 00:04:05.87\00:04:07.74 the financial resources 00:04:07.78\00:04:09.64 to be able to purchase the items locally. 00:04:09.68\00:04:14.22 Yeah, sometimes they're a little inferior, 00:04:14.25\00:04:16.45 but we can usually purchase them 00:04:16.48\00:04:18.19 much at a much lower cost than we could 00:04:18.22\00:04:22.16 if we were to ship the stuff 00:04:22.19\00:04:23.53 from the United States or from Canada 00:04:23.56\00:04:25.33 or from somewhere, 00:04:25.36\00:04:27.06 make it part of your monthly program. 00:04:27.10\00:04:30.53 A dollar a day saves a life. 00:04:30.57\00:04:32.00 It really takes about 365 bucks per flight 00:04:32.03\00:04:34.67 that we take on average, you know, some is less, 00:04:34.70\00:04:37.17 some are little bit more, 00:04:37.21\00:04:38.54 but $365 can definitely take 00:04:38.57\00:04:42.31 a flight out of the jungles 00:04:42.34\00:04:46.61 into a city 00:04:46.65\00:04:49.55 where a hospital physicians 00:04:49.58\00:04:54.22 or maybe life support such as clean food. 00:04:54.26\00:04:59.59 We bring into them rice and beans and things 00:04:59.63\00:05:02.36 that they can make that's clean to eat. 00:05:02.40\00:05:06.87 I can't tell you how many times 00:05:06.90\00:05:08.24 we've seen people eat vermin just to stay alive. 00:05:08.27\00:05:11.74 You know, it's part of their natural diet and, 00:05:11.77\00:05:13.88 of course, with the events 00:05:13.91\00:05:17.05 that have happened in the world and, 00:05:17.08\00:05:19.25 of course eating vermin. 00:05:19.28\00:05:21.58 Supposedly this virus came from bats. 00:05:21.62\00:05:24.75 I don't know if it was that's what happened. 00:05:24.79\00:05:27.86 But you know, it's potential and those things do happen. 00:05:27.89\00:05:31.06 People get diseases 00:05:31.09\00:05:32.76 from eating these unclean things 00:05:32.79\00:05:36.46 that nowhere in the Bible does it say that 00:05:36.50\00:05:39.17 we should eat these things and, but yet we do 00:05:39.20\00:05:42.94 and then the world faces a pandemic. 00:05:42.97\00:05:48.91 Help us help them. 00:05:48.94\00:05:50.48 Most of the world faces challenges 00:05:50.51\00:05:52.41 that we in the United States 00:05:52.45\00:05:53.85 or North America don't understand. 00:05:53.88\00:05:57.52 With such challenges 00:05:57.55\00:05:59.55 come unique solutions and certainly 00:05:59.59\00:06:02.36 one of the unique solutions is aviation. 00:06:02.39\00:06:04.76 And that's what we bring to the table to be 00:06:04.79\00:06:06.19 able to reach into areas that are unreachable. 00:06:06.23\00:06:10.50 People travel for miles on small trails, 00:06:10.53\00:06:14.14 like you see back here, 00:06:14.17\00:06:15.70 small trails or down creek beds or streams, 00:06:15.74\00:06:21.24 because that's, that's the thoroughfare. 00:06:21.28\00:06:24.78 And so, the needs are met by the jungle basically. 00:06:24.81\00:06:30.75 And so, we come in and we help people survive 00:06:30.79\00:06:36.52 in a hostile environment, 00:06:36.56\00:06:38.33 whether it be the jungle or even in the city. 00:06:38.36\00:06:40.66 We're able to help in unique ways there. 00:06:40.70\00:06:43.37 Turn the program over now 00:06:53.98\00:06:55.31 to our project manager in Brazil, Brad Mills. 00:06:55.34\00:06:59.35 Hi, I'm Brad Mills and I work here 00:07:03.35\00:07:05.35 at the Institute of Missions 00:07:05.39\00:07:06.89 called Northwest Brazil Union Institute of Missions. 00:07:06.92\00:07:10.33 And we're located in the capital city, Manaus, 00:07:10.36\00:07:13.66 of the state of the Amazon in Brazil. 00:07:13.70\00:07:17.00 And the Institute of Missions here, 00:07:17.03\00:07:18.63 we promote mission opportunities 00:07:18.67\00:07:21.20 to do church planting, reaching villages 00:07:21.24\00:07:24.04 where the Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:07:24.07\00:07:25.84 has here to for not entered. 00:07:25.87\00:07:28.51 And I'm actually standing here inside the building 00:07:28.54\00:07:31.31 at the entrance of our school of missions. 00:07:31.35\00:07:33.58 We train here Bible workers 00:07:33.62\00:07:35.38 that come to donate one to two years of their life 00:07:35.42\00:07:38.09 to serve people in the area 00:07:38.12\00:07:40.06 and unreached villages in the Amazon. 00:07:40.09\00:07:42.79 Here they come, 00:07:42.82\00:07:44.16 they live in our schools, in our dorms, 00:07:44.19\00:07:46.96 and they study every day for about three months 00:07:47.00\00:07:49.96 where they're being prepared to be pioneer Bible workers, 00:07:50.00\00:07:53.57 then we place them out into villages to serve 00:07:53.60\00:07:55.97 and live among the people. 00:07:56.00\00:07:57.81 If you look here in the map, 00:07:57.84\00:07:59.44 what we have here is the city of Manaus, 00:07:59.47\00:08:01.81 the capital city of nearly two and a half million people. 00:08:01.84\00:08:06.11 But then they go out and they serve this 00:08:06.15\00:08:08.98 whole vast region living in villages. 00:08:09.02\00:08:12.19 Our Bible workers sometimes 00:08:12.22\00:08:13.69 live only among unreached tribes, 00:08:13.72\00:08:16.39 where we have no Adventist presence 00:08:16.42\00:08:18.06 where they're living with the village people, 00:08:18.09\00:08:20.86 hunting and fishing and planting, 00:08:20.90\00:08:23.20 trying to enter into their lives, 00:08:23.23\00:08:25.13 to make friendships, 00:08:25.17\00:08:26.60 understand their worldview, 00:08:26.63\00:08:28.10 and be able to present the gospel. 00:08:28.14\00:08:29.77 Each little place 00:08:29.80\00:08:31.14 where we have a church here is places 00:08:31.17\00:08:32.97 that we've actually built churches 00:08:33.01\00:08:35.38 through our pioneer workers 00:08:35.41\00:08:36.75 that had been living in villages. 00:08:36.78\00:08:38.51 And you can see here, 00:08:38.55\00:08:39.88 we have every little dot is a place 00:08:39.91\00:08:41.72 where we have Bible workers living with the people. 00:08:41.75\00:08:45.62 So, we have here, actually, 00:08:45.65\00:08:47.32 I'm in front of our School of Missions training school, 00:08:47.36\00:08:50.06 where we train people to go out into villages. 00:08:50.09\00:08:52.79 We run the Luzeiro boats, a ministry that takes people 00:08:52.83\00:08:55.70 out with medical professionals to open up the villages. 00:08:55.73\00:08:58.40 We do short term mission trips 00:08:58.43\00:09:00.07 also as a form of serving the villages. 00:09:00.10\00:09:02.47 And all of this combined a way 00:09:02.50\00:09:05.17 to take the gospel to areas 00:09:05.21\00:09:07.54 that we haven't been able to reach yet. 00:09:07.58\00:09:09.34 Just in our area, we have hundreds of languages 00:09:09.38\00:09:14.35 and people groups that live in isolated areas 00:09:14.38\00:09:17.62 that were able to serve through our boats 00:09:17.65\00:09:20.12 and our pioneer Bible workers. 00:09:20.16\00:09:23.32 So, we want to thank you for what you do 00:09:23.36\00:09:25.29 and combining with us and working with us. 00:09:25.33\00:09:27.80 In one day, we hope to have an airplane 00:09:27.83\00:09:30.10 here to be able to go out, 00:09:30.13\00:09:31.77 sometimes our boats are 8 to 10 days 00:09:31.80\00:09:33.57 out into the jungle 00:09:33.60\00:09:34.94 and be able to service that area 00:09:34.97\00:09:36.30 to take care of our Bible workers, 00:09:36.34\00:09:37.94 taking more medical professionals, 00:09:37.97\00:09:39.87 supplies and continue God's work in this area. 00:09:39.91\00:09:42.98 For you to have an idea, you can leave the capital city 00:09:43.01\00:09:46.11 and you can travel over 30 days 00:09:46.15\00:09:48.65 by boat to come to these farthest reaching cities 00:09:48.68\00:09:51.72 out of the jungle, where we're planning to provide 00:09:51.75\00:09:54.46 the workers this year, 00:09:54.49\00:09:56.06 living with the people and planting new churches 00:09:56.09\00:09:58.99 for the spread of God's kingdom. 00:09:59.03\00:10:00.50 We're thankful that 00:10:00.53\00:10:01.86 you're partnering with us in this. 00:10:01.90\00:10:04.30 And imagine one day we have a plane that 00:10:04.33\00:10:06.43 could travel this whole distance. 00:10:06.47\00:10:09.00 What could take 30 days 00:10:09.04\00:10:10.37 by boat could take one day by plane 00:10:10.41\00:10:12.64 to reach these areas and attend our Bible workers 00:10:12.67\00:10:16.04 and continue growing God's work in this area. 00:10:16.08\00:10:19.38 You guys right might remember the story of the Luzeiro boats 00:10:19.41\00:10:22.58 and what they've done for the history 00:10:22.62\00:10:24.19 of the Adventist Church in this region. 00:10:24.22\00:10:26.12 In fact, Leo and Jesse Halliwell 00:10:26.15\00:10:28.46 in 1931 inaugurated the very first Luzeiro boat, 00:10:28.49\00:10:33.16 they sailed out of Belem Para, 00:10:33.19\00:10:35.96 and they came up the Amazon River 00:10:36.00\00:10:38.57 going into otherwise unreached areas. 00:10:38.60\00:10:41.70 Our first Adventist churches were planted 00:10:41.74\00:10:44.94 specifically due to the work of the Luzeiro boats. 00:10:44.97\00:10:47.91 For over 80 years the Adventist Church 00:10:47.94\00:10:50.28 has been maintaining Luzeiro boats 00:10:50.31\00:10:52.35 coming and providing medical care, social work, 00:10:52.38\00:10:56.92 providing help for the people's needs, 00:10:56.95\00:10:59.99 thereby gaining their trust, working with them, 00:11:00.02\00:11:03.59 showing God's love and being able 00:11:03.63\00:11:05.59 then afterwards to plant churches. 00:11:05.63\00:11:07.50 Today, we're still doing the same thing. 00:11:07.53\00:11:09.46 Today we administered the Luzeiro boats, 00:11:09.50\00:11:11.60 where we put volunteers that are willing to come, 00:11:11.63\00:11:14.80 dentists, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, 00:11:14.84\00:11:19.14 and Bible workers. 00:11:19.17\00:11:20.58 And these people live on the boats, 00:11:20.61\00:11:22.31 they come out sometimes for a year at a time 00:11:22.34\00:11:24.85 to live on the boat. 00:11:24.88\00:11:26.21 Will live with the jungle dwellers, 00:11:26.25\00:11:28.35 providing them medical care, visiting in their homes, 00:11:28.38\00:11:31.52 and being able to then make friendships 00:11:31.55\00:11:33.96 and start Bible studies. 00:11:33.99\00:11:35.72 Then after the Luzeiro boats 00:11:35.76\00:11:37.16 have come in and opened up the area, 00:11:37.19\00:11:39.53 we're able to put pioneer Bible workers 00:11:39.56\00:11:41.53 to live in the villages 00:11:41.56\00:11:42.90 and work with the people and help them. 00:11:42.93\00:11:45.03 We want to thank you for partnering with us. 00:11:45.07\00:11:47.47 And imagine what a partnership 00:11:47.50\00:11:48.84 with an airplane with AWA will do. 00:11:48.87\00:11:51.27 When we have a boat that's 14, 15, 16, 17 days out 00:11:51.31\00:11:55.04 into the jungle and we need an emergent 00:11:55.08\00:11:57.95 or urgent care, 00:11:57.98\00:11:59.31 the plane can takeoff right here 00:11:59.35\00:12:00.85 on the river in front of our base 00:12:00.88\00:12:02.45 and land out by the boat, 00:12:02.48\00:12:04.09 bringing in much needed medical supplies, 00:12:04.12\00:12:06.52 Bible supplies, workers, volunteers, food, 00:12:06.55\00:12:09.96 and to be able to continue growing our project 00:12:09.99\00:12:12.43 to be able to serve God's kingdom in this area. 00:12:12.46\00:12:14.90 Thank you for partnering with us. 00:12:14.93\00:12:17.00 Brad Mills has been doing a fabulous job 00:12:17.03\00:12:19.93 of holding things together there 00:12:19.97\00:12:21.60 while we institute a new flying program there. 00:12:21.64\00:12:24.47 Pray the Lord of harvest 00:12:24.51\00:12:25.84 that we find the right pilot for that project. 00:12:25.87\00:12:29.51 We have the plane, we just need the pilot. 00:12:29.54\00:12:32.81 Partner with us. 00:12:32.85\00:12:34.18 Thank you and God bless. 00:12:34.22\00:12:36.69 This is my story 00:12:36.72\00:12:39.62 This is my song 00:12:39.65\00:12:42.52 Praising my Savior 00:12:42.56\00:12:45.63 All the day long 00:12:45.66\00:12:48.60 This is my story 00:12:48.63\00:12:51.57 This is my song 00:12:51.60\00:12:54.64 Praising myself Savior 00:12:54.67\00:12:57.64 All the day long 00:12:57.67\00:13:01.91 Traversing through along narrow path 00:13:01.94\00:13:05.25 along a riverbed is romantic on a camping trip, 00:13:05.28\00:13:11.22 but when you have to come down to a local stream 00:13:11.25\00:13:14.96 on a daily basis to get water, that becomes challenging. 00:13:14.99\00:13:19.76 In Nicaragua, we have met the needs of the people, 00:13:19.79\00:13:23.33 so they don't have to drink river water 00:13:23.37\00:13:25.33 which is okay as long as it's properly processed. 00:13:25.37\00:13:28.60 But they can now drink fresh water 00:13:28.64\00:13:30.71 from living water in Nicaragua. 00:13:30.74\00:13:33.54 Thank you to Enrique and others 00:13:33.58\00:13:36.18 that have gone before him to put a well in place 00:13:36.21\00:13:40.72 and offer living water. 00:13:40.75\00:13:44.89 It becomes challenging to meet the needs of this world 00:13:44.92\00:13:49.62 when times are good. 00:13:49.66\00:13:52.93 Now with the world basically on lockdown, 00:13:52.96\00:13:55.30 it becomes even more challenging. 00:13:55.33\00:13:57.33 However, missionaries like Enrique give us courage. 00:13:57.37\00:14:00.77 The work that he's doing there has been such a blessing 00:14:00.80\00:14:04.47 to the local indigenous people 00:14:04.51\00:14:05.94 as well as the leadership of the community, 00:14:05.97\00:14:08.84 supplying water and supplies and medevacing with the truck. 00:14:08.88\00:14:13.15 We have a missionary that soon to be deployed there. 00:14:13.18\00:14:17.65 We'll make more announcement about that later, 00:14:17.69\00:14:19.35 but we've had an accepted call. 00:14:19.39\00:14:20.99 Up in Alaska Jim Kincade has been flying supply relief 00:14:21.02\00:14:25.33 to our missionaries. 00:14:25.36\00:14:28.80 We're getting loaded for a trip to the village 00:14:28.83\00:14:31.53 of Shungnak and Selawik 00:14:31.57\00:14:35.20 with a load of shelf stable food items. 00:14:35.24\00:14:38.81 Much of it just like you at home. 00:14:38.84\00:14:41.64 We've got two loads here. 00:14:41.68\00:14:45.31 We've got flour, 00:14:45.35\00:14:49.45 you can make bread out of that. 00:14:49.48\00:14:50.92 We've got rice. 00:15:01.00\00:15:03.67 During the COVID-19 pandemic 00:15:03.70\00:15:07.40 many of the villages are in danger 00:15:07.44\00:15:10.91 of running out of food 00:15:10.94\00:15:12.44 so we're trying to restock 00:15:12.47\00:15:15.38 their food banks for them. 00:15:15.41\00:15:19.15 There's a pancake flour. 00:15:19.18\00:15:20.72 Macaroni. 00:15:24.65\00:15:25.99 And we've got buckets full of shelf stable food in them. 00:15:29.66\00:15:34.70 We team up with Adventist community 00:15:38.37\00:15:40.77 services to do this run. 00:15:40.80\00:15:43.64 Food packed kale, that's always good. 00:15:46.91\00:15:51.75 Everyone needs to eat their green beans. 00:15:51.78\00:15:56.69 And we've got sweet corn. 00:15:56.72\00:15:58.25 We've got about 800 pounds of food in here. 00:16:04.36\00:16:07.93 And we're gonna be headed out in a little while 00:16:07.96\00:16:12.17 to help these villages out in this time of distress. 00:16:12.20\00:16:17.44 So, God bless and thank you 00:16:17.47\00:16:19.34 for your support 00:16:19.37\00:16:21.18 that keeps our airplanes operating 00:16:21.21\00:16:23.21 and keeps us going up here on the frontlines. 00:16:23.24\00:16:27.38 Thank you very much. 00:16:27.42\00:16:29.55 As I travel along, 00:16:29.58\00:16:33.19 I wonder how others survive. 00:16:33.22\00:16:38.49 We like watching television shows like Survival. 00:16:38.53\00:16:42.66 And we look out at wilderness much like you see here. 00:16:42.70\00:16:47.24 And we say, wow, that's really something 00:16:47.27\00:16:50.61 to be able to survive in an environment like this. 00:16:50.64\00:16:54.34 But people live like this, they're not surviving. 00:16:54.38\00:16:56.34 They live like this on a daily basis, 00:16:56.38\00:16:58.01 it's not a reality show, it's reality. 00:16:58.05\00:17:00.28 In the Philippines, our team, our local team, 00:17:12.76\00:17:15.16 as well as our foreign missionaries, 00:17:15.20\00:17:18.20 the Wilkerson's have been working very hard 00:17:18.23\00:17:19.97 working with everyone there, 00:17:20.00\00:17:21.34 making sure that encouragement is kept high. 00:17:21.37\00:17:25.94 Meeting the needs of the locals there is challenging 00:17:25.97\00:17:28.18 because they too are on lockdown, 00:17:28.21\00:17:30.58 but they're doing it. 00:17:30.61\00:17:31.95 I'm Bruce Wilkerson. 00:17:35.85\00:17:37.19 I'm the Executive Vice President 00:17:37.22\00:17:38.55 for Adventist World Aviation. 00:17:38.59\00:17:39.92 As I said, from the airplane over here, 00:17:39.95\00:17:41.72 we taken in the last couple months, 00:17:41.76\00:17:43.26 we put this airplane together, 00:17:43.29\00:17:45.06 it's up and running, that's great. 00:17:45.09\00:17:46.70 But now the big problem is 00:17:46.73\00:17:48.06 getting this 2000-foot airstrip finished. 00:17:48.10\00:17:51.70 Well, from the end of the airstrip 00:17:51.73\00:17:54.00 is the village of Sapangan 00:17:54.04\00:17:56.24 and down there just forward a bit about 50-100 meters 00:17:56.27\00:17:59.84 is where the airstrip starts, 00:17:59.87\00:18:01.51 and it goes about 2000 feet 00:18:01.54\00:18:03.24 all the way down in this direction. 00:18:03.28\00:18:05.21 And at the end there with, 00:18:05.25\00:18:06.58 right before the jungles where it stopped. 00:18:06.61\00:18:08.28 So, we have lots of jungle 00:18:08.32\00:18:10.72 that surrounds this end of the airstrip. 00:18:10.75\00:18:13.22 And there's fencing around the whole 74 acre property. 00:18:13.25\00:18:16.66 And in the 74 acres we have, 00:18:16.69\00:18:19.83 we have lots of weeds and vines down fencing 00:18:19.86\00:18:23.47 and part of the Civil Aviation Authorities requirements 00:18:23.50\00:18:25.70 is for us to clear 00:18:25.73\00:18:27.47 and make sure we have a secure perimeter to prevent. 00:18:27.50\00:18:30.27 But not just working on this base 00:18:30.31\00:18:32.41 where we're restricted to. 00:18:32.44\00:18:33.78 We've taken opportunities 00:18:33.81\00:18:35.14 to continue our worship practices 00:18:35.18\00:18:36.51 here with our team. 00:18:36.54\00:18:38.55 The Espinosas they come across, 00:18:38.58\00:18:40.38 we worship on Wednesdays and Sabbath. 00:18:40.42\00:18:42.85 And hopefully we're building 00:18:42.88\00:18:44.22 more relationships with these people 00:18:44.25\00:18:45.59 that when we start flying here, 00:18:45.62\00:18:47.29 we can start making additional physical difference 00:18:47.32\00:18:50.16 in their lives but more importantly, 00:18:50.19\00:18:51.79 we can introduce them 00:18:51.83\00:18:53.16 to the loving relationship with Jesus. 00:18:53.19\00:18:54.93 That's why we're here folks is to introduce people 00:18:54.96\00:18:57.40 to a loving relationship with God 00:18:57.43\00:18:59.40 and His Son, Jesus Christ. 00:18:59.43\00:19:01.14 Back home here in the United States, 00:21:01.32\00:21:05.96 our maintenance department 00:21:05.99\00:21:07.33 is working diligently preparing aircraft for the field. 00:21:07.36\00:21:10.77 We have been blessed 00:21:10.80\00:21:12.73 to have the Stevenson Family join our team. 00:21:12.77\00:21:16.30 Kyle is turned out to be more than just a mechanic. 00:21:16.34\00:21:19.94 He's quite an engineer, 00:21:19.97\00:21:21.71 he's been able to create solutions out of areas 00:21:21.74\00:21:26.41 that we thought we would never be able to solve. 00:21:26.45\00:21:31.82 We now turn to Guyana and Monique Wilkerson. 00:21:31.85\00:21:36.36 Our Guyana project needs your help. 00:21:36.39\00:21:38.49 With the COVID-19 travel restrictions worldwide, 00:21:38.53\00:21:41.73 our mechanics, our inspectors 00:21:41.76\00:21:43.87 and our missionaries are unable to travel 00:21:43.90\00:21:46.37 to conduct those inspections 00:21:46.40\00:21:48.27 and continue the work that we have in Guyana. 00:21:48.30\00:21:51.97 And so, in God's perfect timing, 00:21:52.01\00:21:54.84 our missionaries would like to return to Guyana 00:21:54.88\00:21:57.35 to conduct the work there. 00:21:57.38\00:21:59.38 And so, we ask for your prayers. 00:21:59.41\00:22:02.52 We ask for your continued support 00:22:02.55\00:22:05.52 and Guyana need help. 00:22:05.55\00:22:09.26 In Canada, Ray Young and his wife Julie 00:22:09.29\00:22:12.69 are working very hard to make sure that 00:22:12.73\00:22:14.86 our global operations are running smoothly. 00:22:14.90\00:22:17.97 He's also been working with the Ontario project 00:22:18.00\00:22:20.07 making sure that 00:22:20.10\00:22:21.77 our aircraft is going to be ready 00:22:21.80\00:22:24.04 just as soon as possible. 00:22:24.07\00:22:26.31 We've had some issues there that we need to take care of, 00:22:26.34\00:22:29.58 unexpected issues, 00:22:29.61\00:22:31.18 seems that the cylinders are out of service, 00:22:31.21\00:22:34.95 they can't be used anymore. 00:22:34.98\00:22:36.89 That's going to cost several thousand dollars, 00:22:36.92\00:22:38.89 probably in the neighborhood of $7,000 to $10,000 00:22:38.92\00:22:41.52 to replace those cylinders 00:22:41.56\00:22:43.89 before we can fly 00:22:43.93\00:22:45.26 to the first indigenous nations there 00:22:45.29\00:22:49.00 To look out in Ontario, Canada 00:22:49.03\00:22:52.20 is another one of our bases of operations. 00:22:52.23\00:22:54.90 We'll be deploying this summer a float plane 00:22:54.94\00:22:57.24 to get to remote villages 00:22:57.27\00:22:59.27 and people that are hard to reach 00:22:59.31\00:23:00.88 or impossible to reach by road. 00:23:00.91\00:23:03.51 As we have learned, no matter 00:23:03.55\00:23:04.88 which country we're operating in, 00:23:04.91\00:23:06.95 the indigenous people seem to be the people 00:23:06.98\00:23:09.42 of that country that are suffering 00:23:09.45\00:23:11.22 and are in need the most. 00:23:11.25\00:23:12.72 At AWA, we try to bring medical supplies, 00:23:12.75\00:23:15.99 dental clinics, medical clinics, 00:23:16.02\00:23:19.69 save injured people, 00:23:19.73\00:23:21.63 help them to get to hospitals. 00:23:21.66\00:23:24.93 But because of their remoteness, 00:23:24.97\00:23:26.40 the only way generally to get to them 00:23:26.43\00:23:28.74 is with the use of an aircraft. 00:23:28.77\00:23:31.54 To look out we'll soon have 00:23:31.57\00:23:32.91 a beautiful red and white Cessna 185 00:23:32.94\00:23:36.48 and fin float plane. 00:23:36.51\00:23:38.41 This aircraft can land on land runways and on water. 00:23:38.45\00:23:43.25 Our newly established project up there in Ontario. 00:23:43.28\00:23:48.72 Elder Mansfield Edwards 00:23:48.76\00:23:50.09 has joined our board of directors 00:23:50.13\00:23:52.93 and is proving to be a tremendous resource. 00:23:52.96\00:23:58.43 In Africa, we have a new project manager 00:23:58.47\00:24:00.97 that we're interviewing. 00:24:01.00\00:24:02.50 His name is Pastor Livingston, 00:24:02.54\00:24:03.87 he's been there living for quite some time, 00:24:03.91\00:24:06.04 working with our local leadership there. 00:24:06.07\00:24:09.78 We hope to be making 00:24:09.81\00:24:11.15 some very exciting news announcements 00:24:11.18\00:24:12.71 about our Uganda project here very soon. 00:24:12.75\00:24:17.19 Here in the United States, 00:24:17.22\00:24:18.55 we are working with local hospitals, 00:24:18.59\00:24:21.46 perhaps they have needs 00:24:21.49\00:24:22.82 of flying test materials or tests themselves 00:24:22.86\00:24:25.16 to the testing locations to get them back. 00:24:25.19\00:24:28.46 Our Angel Flight program has slowed down, 00:24:28.50\00:24:30.63 which is heartbreaking 00:24:30.67\00:24:33.00 because I know that there are people 00:24:33.03\00:24:34.57 that are needing their cancer treatments 00:24:34.60\00:24:36.47 or whatever treatments that they need, 00:24:36.50\00:24:39.74 but they're putting it off because of the fear 00:24:39.77\00:24:41.98 of what's happening around the world. 00:24:42.01\00:24:44.11 Pray
