In the beginning 00:00:01.76\00:00:03.84 the earth was without form and void. 00:00:03.85\00:00:07.84 Then God said, "Let there be light." 00:00:07.85\00:00:11.68 And there was light. 00:00:11.69\00:00:14.36 And God divided the light from the darkness. 00:00:14.37\00:00:17.80 So the evening and the morning were the first day. 00:00:17.81\00:00:20.56 So the evening and the morning were the second day. 00:00:30.84\00:00:35.08 Then God said, "Let the waters under the heaven 00:00:35.09\00:00:37.48 be gathered together into one place, 00:00:37.49\00:00:39.84 and let the dry land appear, 00:00:39.85\00:00:41.92 let the earth bring forth grass, and herb, 00:00:41.93\00:00:44.48 and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind." 00:00:44.49\00:00:47.76 So, the evening and the morning were the third day. 00:00:47.77\00:00:52.32 Then God made two great lights; 00:00:52.33\00:00:54.12 he made the stars also. 00:00:54.13\00:00:55.76 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. 00:00:55.77\00:01:00.36 Then God said, "Let the waters abound 00:01:00.37\00:01:02.16 within abundance of living creatures, 00:01:02.17\00:01:03.92 and let birds fly above the earth 00:01:03.93\00:01:06.48 across the face of the firmament of the heavens." 00:01:06.49\00:01:10.80 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 00:01:10.81\00:01:15.72 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creature 00:01:15.73\00:01:18.68 according to its kind, cattle, and creeping things, 00:01:18.69\00:01:21.60 and beast of the earth." 00:01:21.61\00:01:24.84 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, 00:01:24.85\00:01:28.20 according to our likeness". 00:01:28.21\00:01:29.88 So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. 00:01:29.89\00:01:34.28 And on the seventh day God ended 00:01:34.29\00:01:36.12 His work which He had done; 00:01:36.13\00:01:37.56 and He rested the seventh day 00:01:37.57\00:01:39.04 from all His work which He had done. 00:01:39.05\00:01:40.92 Then God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it, 00:01:40.93\00:01:43.68 because in it He had rested from all His work 00:01:43.69\00:01:46.00 which God had created and made. 00:01:46.01\00:01:49.44 And indeed it was very good. 00:01:49.45\00:01:53.96 As we begin this evening let's begin with prayer. 00:01:53.97\00:01:57.28 Holy Father, we're just thank you for the privileged 00:01:57.29\00:02:01.40 to take a walk through your original week of time. 00:02:01.41\00:02:05.28 And we earnestly invite the same Holy Spirit 00:02:05.29\00:02:08.48 that was active in that creative week. 00:02:08.49\00:02:11.56 To create in our hearts and minds 00:02:11.57\00:02:12.88 tonight refreshing counter with your own divinity 00:02:12.89\00:02:16.84 through Your word. 00:02:16.85\00:02:18.52 Teach us now as our prayer in Jesus name, amen. 00:02:18.53\00:02:23.80 We've been walking our through the creation story. 00:02:23.81\00:02:27.12 We discovered on day one, 00:02:27.13\00:02:30.32 that God separated light from darkness. 00:02:30.33\00:02:34.76 And day two, He separated water from water. 00:02:34.77\00:02:39.20 On day three, He separated land 00:02:39.21\00:02:42.72 from water and created plants on the land. 00:02:42.73\00:02:46.76 Now tonight, you have your Bibles, 00:02:46.77\00:02:48.80 let's turn to Genesis, the very first Chapter. 00:02:48.81\00:02:51.84 "So the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 00:02:51.85\00:02:55.84 And then God said, "Let the waters abound 00:02:55.85\00:02:59.20 within abundance of living creatures," 00:02:59.21\00:03:02.04 with living creatures. 00:03:02.05\00:03:04.32 The Hebrew word there is for souls, living souls. 00:03:04.33\00:03:07.44 There is actually a grater variety 00:03:07.45\00:03:10.84 among the fish creatures, than among all other land 00:03:10.85\00:03:16.84 and water vertebrates put together 21,000 species 00:03:16.85\00:03:22.24 are cold blooded. 00:03:22.25\00:03:24.00 And there are two basic types, 95% have a bone skeleton, 00:03:24.01\00:03:27.84 rest have cartilage type structure 00:03:27.85\00:03:33.20 instead of bone as such. 00:03:33.21\00:03:36.00 And the scripture says, 00:03:36.01\00:03:37.12 and God created great sea creatures. 00:03:37.13\00:03:40.64 The word for creatures there is the Hebrew word, 00:03:40.65\00:03:43.12 leviathan, and every living thing that moves, 00:03:43.13\00:03:47.12 with which the waters abounded, 00:03:47.13\00:03:48.80 according to their kind, 00:03:48.81\00:03:50.64 and God saw that it was good. 00:03:50.65\00:03:54.80 We discovered the word leviathan 00:03:54.81\00:03:56.40 is actually mentioned in David, Isaiah, and Job. 00:03:56.41\00:04:01.60 And if we read Job's account there in the 40th Chapter, 00:04:01.61\00:04:06.64 leviathan we strongly suspect was probably a dinosaur. 00:04:06.65\00:04:12.28 It's a creature that we've never seen in these times. 00:04:12.29\00:04:16.36 And God said, "He made it." 00:04:16.37\00:04:18.52 and we have to take His word for that. 00:04:18.53\00:04:21.00 As we take a look at the fish that God 00:04:21.01\00:04:24.12 created on this fifth day. 00:04:24.13\00:04:28.12 We want to notice some interesting features 00:04:28.13\00:04:30.84 about water itself, color underwater is phenomenal. 00:04:30.85\00:04:36.04 And the reason it is phenomenal 00:04:36.05\00:04:37.92 is because it should not be there! 00:04:37.93\00:04:40.64 Because Red disappears at 10 feet in the water, 00:04:40.65\00:04:46.20 and then Orange disappears at 15 feet. 00:04:46.21\00:04:49.36 And Yellow disappears at 30 feet 00:04:49.37\00:04:52.08 and Blue at 60 feet fades away 00:04:52.09\00:04:56.00 into utter darkness. 00:04:56.01\00:04:59.00 And so the question we ask ourselves 00:04:59.01\00:05:00.96 when we look into the ocean and we use our strobe lights 00:05:00.97\00:05:05.68 and we use artificial lights and we can go down 60 feet 00:05:05.69\00:05:09.12 or more where its just total blackness, 00:05:09.13\00:05:12.52 and this is not because of our eyes, 00:05:12.53\00:05:14.80 this has to do with the physics of water itself. 00:05:14.81\00:05:18.36 And what it does to the color, it's just taken out. 00:05:18.37\00:05:22.24 And so the question 00:05:22.25\00:05:23.84 is why there is so much awesome 00:05:23.85\00:05:26.76 color 60 feet or deeper. 00:05:26.77\00:05:31.12 When as far as we can tell nobody ever sees it, 00:05:31.13\00:05:36.80 except the Creator. 00:05:36.81\00:05:39.76 And for that I just gather the fact that God 00:05:39.77\00:05:42.52 is a love of the beautiful whether you can see it or not. 00:05:42.53\00:05:46.28 And God loves hidden beauty 00:05:46.29\00:05:49.56 and He puts it that way. 00:05:49.57\00:05:52.24 And I think there is a lesson for us spiritually, 00:05:52.25\00:05:56.00 God loves the inside of your character 00:05:56.01\00:05:59.24 where nobody else can see it, 00:05:59.25\00:06:00.88 and He wants to make it beautiful 00:06:00.89\00:06:02.56 with His own seven character qualities 00:06:02.57\00:06:06.08 from the inside out. 00:06:06.09\00:06:08.96 And so we wanna take a look tonight 00:06:08.97\00:06:10.52 and take a little journey down into the water 00:06:10.53\00:06:13.76 and go down 60 feet or deeper, 00:06:13.77\00:06:16.08 the pictures that were going to see 00:06:16.09\00:06:18.64 most of those were taken by Bruce and Anita Bassett. 00:06:18.65\00:06:22.36 He was an atheist and his wife 00:06:22.37\00:06:24.44 was a backslidden Baptist I believe. 00:06:24.45\00:06:28.24 And when they got married 00:06:28.25\00:06:30.32 and they began to do underwater exploration. 00:06:30.33\00:06:33.84 They love to do scuba diving and take pictures 00:06:33.85\00:06:37.16 and the more did that and a more they studied it. 00:06:37.17\00:06:41.92 The more they were awed by what they saw. 00:06:41.93\00:06:45.32 And their testimony was this. 00:06:45.33\00:06:47.76 After spending untold hours beneath 00:06:47.77\00:06:51.80 the surface of the sea, as they beheld 00:06:51.81\00:06:56.24 the glory of the Creator 00:06:56.25\00:06:57.80 of what He created on this fifth day, 00:06:57.81\00:07:00.24 they call it God's hidden beauty of the fifth day 00:07:00.25\00:07:03.56 as they studied that. 00:07:03.57\00:07:06.56 They became a believer and he went from an atheist 00:07:06.57\00:07:10.32 to a believer just because of what he saw a God's 00:07:10.33\00:07:14.56 handy work created there on the fifth day. 00:07:14.57\00:07:17.76 And God bless them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, 00:07:17.77\00:07:22.24 and fill the waters in the sea, Genesis 1 verse 22. 00:07:22.25\00:07:27.60 Here we discover 00:07:27.61\00:07:28.64 in the creations story God now creates creatures. 00:07:28.65\00:07:33.52 With the capacity to reproduce after their own kind 00:07:33.53\00:07:39.16 and they had the capacity to move, they had life, 00:07:39.17\00:07:42.52 unlike the plants, they still followed the same law 00:07:42.53\00:07:47.60 of genetics, and they now had the power to reproducing. 00:07:47.61\00:07:53.04 God specifically said to them, 00:07:53.05\00:07:55.08 "Be fruitful and multiply 00:07:55.09\00:07:58.44 and multiply indeed they did. 00:07:58.45\00:08:01.36 And so here we're looking at one of the sea crabs. 00:08:01.37\00:08:05.64 Notice that in the ocean we find many creatures 00:08:05.65\00:08:09.96 relate to each other and I don't know you can figure 00:08:09.97\00:08:13.20 this out or not but that's barnacles 00:08:13.21\00:08:15.16 up on the top that have taken up residence 00:08:15.17\00:08:17.68 there with the sea crab. 00:08:17.69\00:08:20.80 This is a Nudibranch, 00:08:20.81\00:08:23.40 the Nudibranch is there about 2000 species of these 00:08:23.41\00:08:26.52 and they live in warmer tropical waters 00:08:26.53\00:08:30.24 and what makes them unique they call Nudibranches, 00:08:30.25\00:08:32.80 because you can see the filly apparatus 00:08:32.81\00:08:36.64 at the back of this creature and that its gills. 00:08:36.65\00:08:41.60 And the gills round the outside of this creature 00:08:41.61\00:08:45.04 and that were it takes in water. 00:08:45.05\00:08:48.08 We also discover when you go down underneath 00:08:48.09\00:08:50.12 the waters and you go deep below 60 feet, 00:08:50.13\00:08:53.84 you can't go as far as 6 miles deep into the ocean. 00:08:53.85\00:08:59.08 And at these deeper levels there are many fish 00:08:59.09\00:09:03.16 that carry their own light with them. 00:09:03.17\00:09:05.84 For what makes it truly remarkable is that the lights 00:09:05.85\00:09:09.24 that they carry with them at this total anky darkness areas 00:09:09.25\00:09:13.56 is they have little pockets and then those pockets 00:09:13.57\00:09:16.88 they have bacteria and those bacteria emit light. 00:09:16.89\00:09:22.36 And these pockets are translucent 00:09:22.37\00:09:24.64 and so the fish can pull up the shade 00:09:24.65\00:09:27.20 and turn the light on of the bacteria 00:09:27.21\00:09:30.00 or they can put the shade down and turn the light off, 00:09:30.01\00:09:32.84 now is that an amazing harmonious relationship 00:09:32.85\00:09:37.04 between bacteria and fish. 00:09:37.05\00:09:39.68 And they carry around these bacteria 00:09:39.69\00:09:42.36 in their back pockets so to speak, 00:09:42.37\00:09:44.44 and as they swim around the bacteria gets extra food, 00:09:44.45\00:09:48.84 because it comes in as they swim along 00:09:48.85\00:09:51.48 and so it works out a very handy 00:09:51.49\00:09:53.04 arrangement for both of them. 00:09:53.05\00:09:54.28 Is another one of the sea creatures, 00:09:54.29\00:09:55.80 many of these sea creatures look almost like a plant, 00:09:55.81\00:09:59.48 but they actually are not. 00:09:59.49\00:10:01.24 This is a Sea Anemome and then we have another Nudibranch, 00:10:01.25\00:10:05.36 again notice that the gills on the outside. 00:10:05.37\00:10:08.12 This is another Nudibranch 00:10:08.13\00:10:10.24 laying a ribbon of eggs 00:10:10.25\00:10:12.64 and you can see the yellow ribbon there. 00:10:12.65\00:10:15.52 And these are Sea Snails. 00:10:15.53\00:10:18.20 Notice again the beautiful color 00:10:18.21\00:10:20.96 and then we have another Nudibranch. 00:10:20.97\00:10:23.12 We're gonna look at quite of them 00:10:23.13\00:10:24.96 because each one is unique and different, 00:10:24.97\00:10:27.92 different color, different styles 00:10:27.93\00:10:30.00 and they do different things. 00:10:30.01\00:10:32.16 The fish that holds the world's record for a capacity 00:10:32.17\00:10:36.92 to hold its own breathe, it neither eat, 00:10:36.93\00:10:40.44 nor drink nor as far as we can tell 00:10:40.45\00:10:43.96 even breathe is called the lungfish. 00:10:43.97\00:10:47.84 It lives in Africa and it lives in the streams 00:10:47.85\00:10:51.68 there and then those streams 00:10:51.69\00:10:53.40 they go dry during the dry season. 00:10:53.41\00:10:56.12 And this lungfish will roll itself up in a mud ball 00:10:56.13\00:11:01.52 and it will get as hard as a rock and the sun shines 00:11:01.53\00:11:04.68 on it and then it stays in that condition 00:11:04.69\00:11:09.60 for weeks and months. 00:11:09.61\00:11:11.32 And finally when the rain return 00:11:11.33\00:11:14.00 the mud softens and they swim, 00:11:14.01\00:11:16.48 the fish will quickly swim out lay their eggs 00:11:16.49\00:11:20.76 and then the dry season comes again. 00:11:20.77\00:11:23.52 And they will go roll themselves 00:11:23.53\00:11:25.16 back up in a mud ball. 00:11:25.17\00:11:27.52 And here's the thing that so astonishing this lungfish. 00:11:27.53\00:11:32.16 They've actually tested this out. 00:11:32.17\00:11:35.36 It can go for seven years 00:11:35.37\00:11:39.80 without any water. 00:11:39.81\00:11:41.64 And when they put it back in the water, 00:11:41.65\00:11:45.40 it literally resurrects and comes back to life 00:11:45.41\00:11:48.72 and begins to breathe and swim and lays its eggs 00:11:48.73\00:11:51.20 and goes back right on with his lifestyle. 00:11:51.21\00:11:53.12 Think of it, seven years without breathing or eating, 00:11:53.13\00:11:56.72 it's in some kind of state of hibernation. 00:11:56.73\00:11:59.84 Nudibranch another one, Kirby tells that there was a fish 00:11:59.85\00:12:05.36 that had a ring in its gills and a castle moat 00:12:05.37\00:12:09.44 over in Europe and this fish swim around 00:12:09.45\00:12:12.88 there and they actually timed it 00:12:12.89\00:12:17.60 as it were 267 years 00:12:17.61\00:12:21.48 that fish lived in the moat of that castle 00:12:21.49\00:12:24.80 with the ring in its gills. 00:12:24.81\00:12:27.92 Fish can live very long lengths of time. 00:12:27.93\00:12:31.88 And then we have our starfish, 00:12:31.89\00:12:34.00 and they are unique creature. 00:12:34.01\00:12:35.76 And then we have the Frog Fish of Indonesia. 00:12:35.77\00:12:39.72 Its about the size of our house cat 00:12:39.73\00:12:42.72 and what makes this fish unique, 00:12:42.73\00:12:44.72 its almost as though the Creator had a sense of humor, 00:12:44.73\00:12:47.60 because I don't know you can see it up, 00:12:47.61\00:12:49.04 but there is a tongue sticking out of that mouth 00:12:49.05\00:12:51.08 and that tongue it can curl 00:12:51.09\00:12:54.84 it around and looks like worm almost like anglerfish, 00:12:54.85\00:12:58.48 a needle flip that tongue around and another fish 00:12:58.49\00:13:01.56 will come along and think it's a worm and go for it 00:13:01.57\00:13:04.28 and they end up for lunch because they gobbled it up. 00:13:04.29\00:13:08.04 This particular fish also can change 00:13:08.05\00:13:11.08 its color incredibly fast. 00:13:11.09\00:13:13.76 This is true of many of the creatures 00:13:13.77\00:13:16.08 that live in the sea. 00:13:16.09\00:13:17.36 They can change their colors 00:13:17.37\00:13:18.80 just almost within a few seconds. 00:13:18.81\00:13:21.48 Another picture of a starfish 00:13:21.49\00:13:24.48 many-many different kinds of starfish 00:13:24.49\00:13:27.36 and many different sizes, all the way from big to little. 00:13:27.37\00:13:31.80 This is s the Cuttlefish; 00:13:31.81\00:13:33.40 this one is about half inch in size, 00:13:33.41\00:13:36.80 it's a cousin to the octopus or the squid. 00:13:36.81\00:13:40.04 And you can see the tentacles there underneath its body. 00:13:40.05\00:13:44.24 It can swim with his using its legs like fins 00:13:44.25\00:13:49.72 or it can also use jet propulsion. 00:13:49.73\00:13:53.12 And that was where mankind learned about jets 00:13:53.13\00:13:56.20 was from the squid and from its cousin, the octopus. 00:13:56.21\00:14:01.40 And the octopus also has a very unique way 00:14:01.41\00:14:04.08 of getting way from its enemies, 00:14:04.09\00:14:06.28 it can shootout black ink 00:14:06.29\00:14:08.72 and under the cover of that blank ink 00:14:08.73\00:14:10.40 it can escape and get away. 00:14:10.41\00:14:12.92 This is the Leaf Scorpion Fish 00:14:12.93\00:14:16.28 and it is toxic on its fins. 00:14:16.29\00:14:21.32 There are many creatures in the sea 00:14:21.33\00:14:23.12 that have its own system of poison of different kinds, 00:14:23.13\00:14:28.36 this one is in its fins up along at the top. 00:14:28.37\00:14:30.72 Another picture of our starfish. 00:14:30.73\00:14:33.72 And this is a seahorse, 00:14:37.28\00:14:39.16 and they are rather unique little creature. 00:14:39.17\00:14:41.60 The Seahorse were makes them rather unique. 00:14:41.61\00:14:45.28 Daddy's do a lot of the baby sitting as it were, 00:14:45.29\00:14:48.28 because when the enemies come along 00:14:48.29\00:14:51.20 he just open his mouth and all the babies swim right 00:14:51.21\00:14:53.88 and he keep them inside his mouth 00:14:53.89\00:14:55.88 and that the enemy is gone 00:14:55.89\00:14:56.86 and he let's them all back out again. 00:14:56.87\00:14:58.52 This is the Pygmy Seahorse. 00:14:58.53\00:15:00.08 I'm not sure if you can see it 00:15:00.09\00:15:01.44 or not many of the creatures of the sea, 00:15:01.45\00:15:04.40 rely on coloration for their protection from the enemies. 00:15:04.41\00:15:10.12 There you can see it, if you didn't see it 00:15:10.13\00:15:12.40 before just a little tiny guy as he blends 00:15:12.41\00:15:16.04 in there with his background. 00:15:16.05\00:15:18.72 Well again and we think about the beautiful colors. 00:15:18.73\00:15:22.72 That we see in the under water world. 00:15:22.73\00:15:25.88 This one the Queen Angelfish. 00:15:25.89\00:15:28.72 Now ladies, you got to admit 00:15:28.73\00:15:30.80 and when it comes to dress 00:15:30.81\00:15:32.04 it would be pretty hard to beat that, don't you think. 00:15:32.05\00:15:34.36 There is just such a greater variety 00:15:34.37\00:15:36.88 among fish that among all on the land and water 00:15:36.89\00:15:40.24 vertebrates put together. 00:15:40.25\00:15:41.68 In Mathew 6 verse 25 and 29, 00:15:41.69\00:15:46.00 it asks the question, why do you worry about your life, 00:15:46.01\00:15:51.20 above what you're going to going wear for clothing. 00:15:51.21\00:15:55.52 And when we take a look at the beautiful variety 00:15:55.53\00:15:58.40 that we see in the world of fish, 00:15:58.41\00:16:01.04 then we can know that we don't really 00:16:01.05\00:16:05.12 have to worry about our clothing, 00:16:05.13\00:16:06.32 but our heavenly Father, 00:16:06.33\00:16:08.12 who loves beauty is going to look after us, 00:16:08.13\00:16:11.60 just as surely as He looks after this fish. 00:16:11.61\00:16:15.76 Now what would you suppose 00:16:15.77\00:16:17.92 this fish's name might be, you're right. 00:16:17.93\00:16:22.32 Its call the Four-eyed Butterfly Fish. 00:16:22.33\00:16:25.36 Which one is the true eye, 00:16:25.37\00:16:27.88 after they're close but it's at the front end here. 00:16:27.89\00:16:30.64 We think about the fish and we think about 00:16:30.65\00:16:32.32 the tremendous strength 00:16:32.33\00:16:35.01 that is found among fish. 00:16:35.02\00:16:38.72 We can be almost overwhelmed. 00:16:38.73\00:16:41.40 Paul Harvey told about a Manta Ray Fish 00:16:41.41\00:16:46.32 that was off the coast of Florida and a fisherman 00:16:46.33\00:16:50.84 hooked down to that fish. 00:16:50.85\00:16:52.80 It began to pull his ship out to sea. 00:16:52.81\00:16:56.96 And he couldn't stopped it and so then he radio 00:16:56.97\00:17:00.08 for a coast guard and they sent out a cutter 00:17:00.09\00:17:03.60 and they hooked on to it and its still was pulling both 00:17:03.61\00:17:08.24 the boat and cutter out to sea, 00:17:08.25\00:17:10.68 and they sent out a second cutter, 00:17:10.69\00:17:12.88 and finally they were able to get it stopped. 00:17:12.89\00:17:18.52 It weighed 800 pounds 18 feet long wingspan 00:17:18.53\00:17:23.84 and they measured it and it towed 00:17:23.85\00:17:27.88 those first two boats for an hour and half out to sea 00:17:27.89\00:17:31.92 before the second boat 00:17:31.93\00:17:33.68 could get there and bring it to a stop. 00:17:33.69\00:17:36.52 Its just astonishing the strength 00:17:36.53\00:17:39.37 and the power that the Creator has put 00:17:39.38\00:17:42.98 into His creatures of the sea. 00:17:42.99\00:17:43.96 This one is called the Fang Blenny 00:17:47.76\00:17:52.24 and again when we think about 00:17:52.25\00:17:54.00 coloration how's that for color. 00:17:54.01\00:17:55.96 And If you put black light on that when it would glow 00:17:55.97\00:17:58.36 just like some of our UV light gets down in there 00:17:58.37\00:18:02.08 and it my personal opinion well we do not know 00:18:02.09\00:18:06.40 why that color is there. 00:18:06.41\00:18:08.24 I suspect that someday scientist may discover. 00:18:08.25\00:18:12.84 That fish have some capacity to pick up color 00:18:12.85\00:18:17.72 beyond what we know of as visible light 00:18:17.73\00:18:21.52 and may be part of the electromagnetic spectrum 00:18:21.53\00:18:24.32 that nobody is ever checked out yet. 00:18:24.33\00:18:26.56 But I think we gonna find out that coloring 00:18:26.57\00:18:30.16 is not there by accident. 00:18:30.17\00:18:31.56 And when they change colors 00:18:31.57\00:18:33.52 they blend into their environment and their enemies 00:18:33.53\00:18:36.80 can't see them when they do that. 00:18:36.81\00:18:39.56 And these are what we call the Crinoids, or Feather Stars. 00:18:39.57\00:18:45.08 And Crinoids are fun to look at in the fossils record. 00:18:45.09\00:18:48.92 We find lots of Crinoids. 00:18:48.93\00:18:51.60 I found one on a mountain top in Tennessee 00:18:51.61\00:18:54.84 and it was about this bigger out. 00:18:54.85\00:18:56.68 Now how do you find sea life like Crinoids 00:18:56.69\00:19:00.24 on a mountain top in Tennessee miles and miles 00:19:00.25\00:19:03.36 from the ocean unless you believe the biblical account 00:19:03.37\00:19:07.36 of Genesis 7 that there was flood in the days of Noah 00:19:07.37\00:19:12.04 that encompass the entire world 00:19:12.05\00:19:14.72 and they were buried there. 00:19:14.73\00:19:16.76 Can you see the Squat Lobster in this picture? 00:19:16.77\00:19:21.68 It's almost always found among 00:19:21.69\00:19:25.32 the acrid eye of the Crinoids, 00:19:25.33\00:19:29.00 that's him right there in case you missed him. 00:19:29.01\00:19:32.44 And you can see why he would stay there, 00:19:32.45\00:19:34.08 because that is the perfect place to hide from his enemies 00:19:34.09\00:19:38.72 and they're always are found together. 00:19:38.73\00:19:42.28 And this is the Sea Urchin Shrimp. 00:19:42.29\00:19:44.84 It lives permanently amongst 00:19:44.85\00:19:47.32 the highly toxic spines of the Sea Urchin. 00:19:47.33\00:19:51.20 It cuts off a few of those poison spines 00:19:51.21\00:19:54.20 and there it stays and it's quite protected 00:19:54.21\00:19:57.52 in this very dangerous hostile environment, 00:19:57.53\00:20:01.68 but it lives there amongst the spines 00:20:01.69\00:20:03.96 that's where it please when it gets into trouble. 00:20:03.97\00:20:07.16 And that reminds me of a little spiritual application. 00:20:07.17\00:20:10.00 Let me ask a question, are we living in a dangerous world? 00:20:10.01\00:20:14.00 Yes, we are. 00:20:14.01\00:20:15.24 And is there an enemy in this world? 00:20:15.25\00:20:17.72 Yes, there is. 00:20:17.73\00:20:19.20 And we learned about the other night, 00:20:19.21\00:20:20.52 but I'll just remind us, 00:20:20.53\00:20:23.08 how do we know light from darkness. 00:20:23.09\00:20:27.52 On day one we talked about 00:20:27.53\00:20:28.84 putting on the armour of light. 00:20:28.85\00:20:31.16 Philippians 4:8 is the text and if you put that on 00:20:31.17\00:20:35.36 you can filter out the harmful effects 00:20:35.37\00:20:38.88 of TV and videos and computers games, 00:20:38.89\00:20:42.92 and books and all the other media's that the devil tries 00:20:42.93\00:20:46.68 to put his lies to our attention, 00:20:46.69\00:20:50.28 and so we learn a lesson from this Sea Urchin. 00:20:50.29\00:20:53.56 He lives in a dangerous place, 00:20:53.57\00:20:55.28 but he learns how to live there safely 00:20:55.29\00:20:58.72 and we have to do the same. 00:20:58.73\00:21:00.48 This is the Emperor Shrimp of Tonga and it is almost always 00:21:00.49\00:21:06.32 found along with the Sea Cucumbers. 00:21:06.33\00:21:09.72 They have a relationship together. 00:21:09.73\00:21:14.44 And Anemone Shrimp, this is in bubble coral. 00:21:14.45\00:21:18.40 And this unusual form of hard coral 00:21:18.41\00:21:22.08 is filled with water like grapes and is often inhabited 00:21:22.09\00:21:27.28 by whole flock of different types of shrimp 00:21:27.29\00:21:30.52 and notice the transparent body. 00:21:30.53\00:21:33.24 You can even see the eggs 00:21:33.25\00:21:35.72 right through the body of this shrimp. 00:21:35.73\00:21:39.92 This next little fellow, 00:21:39.93\00:21:43.04 what do you think his name might be, 00:21:43.05\00:21:46.96 it's a False Clown Anemone Fish, 00:21:46.97\00:21:50.64 and he is a unique creature? 00:21:50.65\00:21:53.20 And he also lives among these poisonous spines, 00:21:53.21\00:21:57.20 but he is immune to stinging power has no effect on him, 00:21:57.21\00:22:01.92 but he goes there because his enemies 00:22:01.93\00:22:03.76 can't go there after him. 00:22:03.77\00:22:05.72 And so he has learnt to make use of its protection. 00:22:05.73\00:22:09.84 We find in the world of underwater 00:22:09.85\00:22:13.24 so many-many fascinating stories. 00:22:13.25\00:22:17.28 And one I would like to share 00:22:17.29\00:22:18.56 with you has to do with the porpoise. 00:22:18.57\00:22:22.28 Porpoise are unique creature, they're actually a mammal, 00:22:22.29\00:22:27.52 but I believe God created them on the fifth day. 00:22:27.53\00:22:30.80 And they are so unique they guide themselves with sonar, 00:22:30.81\00:22:35.16 the military has even learnt to make use of them 00:22:35.17\00:22:39.40 because they can be taught many things. 00:22:39.41\00:22:42.32 They are very smart but here is what I thought 00:22:42.33\00:22:45.28 was so astonishing a swimmer was off. 00:22:45.29\00:22:49.04 I think it was the coast of Australia and he was swimming 00:22:49.05\00:22:52.48 there when a shark 00:22:52.49\00:22:56.58 came toward him. 00:22:56.59\00:22:59.12 Well, but about the same time the shark saw him 00:22:59.13\00:23:03.52 and started toward him, a whole school of porpoise 00:23:03.53\00:23:09.00 came and they surrounded him and they just nurtured 00:23:09.01\00:23:14.56 this swimmer all the way back to shore 00:23:14.57\00:23:18.80 or close enough to shore where the shark would not come. 00:23:18.81\00:23:22.64 And the meantime those porpoises 00:23:22.65\00:23:24.80 they just kept circling the swimmer 00:23:24.81\00:23:27.44 and wouldn't let the shark get any closer, in fact 00:23:27.45\00:23:30.20 they took off after the shark and chased it away. 00:23:30.21\00:23:35.32 Is that amazing? 00:23:35.33\00:23:37.24 Why would a porpoise, take out a shark to protect 00:23:37.25\00:23:42.04 a human being, not even of its own species. 00:23:42.05\00:23:45.24 And I just believe that the Creator God in heaven 00:23:45.25\00:23:48.12 has put into the hearts and minds 00:23:48.13\00:23:49.80 of this little creature a love for people. 00:23:49.81\00:23:53.44 And as we take a look at this picture. 00:23:53.45\00:23:54.84 This is a Anita Bassett looking in through a hole 00:23:54.85\00:23:57.92 of Truk Lagoon World War II and this was the graveyard. 00:23:57.93\00:24:03.88 But it has become a resurrection place, 00:24:03.89\00:24:06.36 because the sea creatures have moved in with all their color 00:24:06.37\00:24:10.48 and beauty and they changed it from a place of death 00:24:10.49\00:24:14.24 to a hope of a resurrection. 00:24:14.25\00:24:18.04 And so the word "fish" is used 32 times 00:24:18.05\00:24:21.04 in the King James Version. 00:24:21.05\00:24:23.48 These fish can teach us so many, many lessons 00:24:23.49\00:24:26.84 and that's exactly what the scripture says 00:24:26.85\00:24:29.08 "Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you 00:24:29.09\00:24:31.72 and the fish of the sea will explain to you. 00:24:31.73\00:24:34.64 Who among all these does not know 00:24:34.65\00:24:36.84 that the hand of the Lord hath done this, 00:24:36.85\00:24:39.44 in whose hand is the life of every living thing, 00:24:39.45\00:24:42.68 and the breath of all mankind? 00:24:42.69\00:24:45.16 It asks the question. 00:24:45.17\00:24:46.32 Who doesn't know that? 00:24:46.33\00:24:47.84 And so we have spoken ever so briefly with fish. 00:24:47.85\00:24:52.68 And I'd just want to share 00:24:52.69\00:24:57.09 one last thought enclosing 00:24:57.10\00:24:59.07 about fish before we move on, because God 00:24:59.08\00:25:01.36 wasn't done on day five, there is more yet to come. 00:25:01.37\00:25:05.16 But well the remarkable features of fish 00:25:05.17\00:25:09.48 is their way of migrating. 00:25:09.49\00:25:12.04 And where I live in British Columbia, Canada, 00:25:12.05\00:25:14.60 on all the streams there are big signs it says, salmon run. 00:25:14.61\00:25:18.72 And I just wanna share with you 00:25:18.73\00:25:21.32 the story of the salmon run. 00:25:21.33\00:25:23.48 They are born way up in the mountains 00:25:23.49\00:25:27.12 and they are in fresh water. 00:25:27.13\00:25:29.32 They go down to the sea and when they get to the sea, 00:25:29.33\00:25:33.96 these salmon which are freshwater fish, 00:25:33.97\00:25:36.32 born in freshwater, they go into the ocean 00:25:36.33\00:25:39.24 and they will stay there for four years 00:25:39.25\00:25:40.96 or more and then they will come back. 00:25:40.97\00:25:45.76 And they go back to the place where they were born 00:25:45.77\00:25:49.24 to lay their eggs and to reproduce. 00:25:49.25\00:25:53.84 And in of the Moody films. 00:25:53.85\00:25:56.60 I watched it there because here was 00:25:56.61\00:26:00.40 a very interesting story of the coho salmon? 00:26:00.41\00:26:03.36 As it came back and it came in, 00:26:03.37\00:26:05.88 this took place December 2, 1964. 00:26:05.89\00:26:09.52 And this coho salmon was hatched in a hatchery. 00:26:09.53\00:26:14.04 Mankind has learned how to help the salmon reproduce 00:26:14.05\00:26:16.88 reproduce and this was hatched in a man made hatchery. 00:26:16.89\00:26:21.12 Well this salmon came up to where the water 00:26:21.13\00:26:27.12 was coming out of the hatchery 00:26:27.13\00:26:29.28 but he didn't go in there. 00:26:29.29\00:26:31.04 He swam along beside and then as it swam 00:26:31.05\00:26:34.48 along beside highway 101. 00:26:34.49\00:26:36.80 It then went underneath a covert that goes underneath 00:26:36.81\00:26:41.48 the highway 101, swam underneath the covert, 00:26:41.49\00:26:44.60 came up on the other side and this is where the water 00:26:44.61\00:26:46.48 goes into the fish hatchery. 00:26:46.49\00:26:49.16 And this large salmon 00:26:49.17\00:26:52.94 then went through a smaller pipe 00:26:52.95\00:26:55.78 about this big and it swam in underneath that, 00:26:55.79\00:26:59.92 got inside the fish hatchery. 00:26:59.93\00:27:02.88 And when the man that took take care 00:27:02.89\00:27:04.24 of the fish hatchery came into the hatchery, 00:27:04.25\00:27:06.56 here is this big male salmon swimming 00:27:06.57\00:27:09.40 around in the fish hatchery. 00:27:09.41\00:27:11.72 But the screen was knocked off and it was a pipe 00:27:11.73\00:27:15.64 that came up about I would say four feet 00:27:15.65\00:27:18.92 and it knock the top of the pipe 00:27:18.93\00:27:22.36 jumped into the place where he was born and he wondered 00:27:22.37\00:27:26.16 if there were anymore salmon that it followed suit 00:27:26.17\00:27:29.44 and he lifted up the boards underneath 00:27:29.45\00:27:31.52 the underground pathway where the fish coming 00:27:31.53\00:27:35.04 there was 72 salmon in there. 00:27:35.05\00:27:37.24 But they have not been able to get through 00:27:37.25\00:27:39.52 where this one had got through 00:27:39.53\00:27:40.76 and there they were all piled up trying to go back 00:27:40.77\00:27:44.76 to the place of their birth. 00:27:44.77\00:27:47.84 Now why they do that? 00:27:47.85\00:27:49.76 You know why they do this? 00:27:49.77\00:27:51.28 Well, and how do they do that and they have learned 00:27:51.29\00:27:54.16 that the salmon can smell the water 00:27:54.17\00:27:58.68 from where they were born. 00:27:58.69\00:27:59.80 Water has different smells and they have found 00:27:59.81\00:28:03.60 the sense of smell is so sensitive, 00:28:03.61\00:28:06.12 they're one part to a billion, 00:28:06.13\00:28:08.96 that's equivalent of a teaspoon 00:28:08.97\00:28:11.32 to a 11 Olympics swimming pools. 00:28:11.33\00:28:14.48 And they can smell the teaspoon 00:28:14.49\00:28:16.76 and that's how they figure, 00:28:16.77\00:28:18.60 they find their way back to the place of their birth. 00:28:18.61\00:28:21.88 But I suspect that the reason they go back to the place 00:28:21.89\00:28:27.72 of their birth, Do you think that in God's' plan 00:28:27.73\00:28:32.96 because of sin, God has setup a way, 00:28:32.97\00:28:37.24 He wants to remind us, that we too need to go back 00:28:37.25\00:28:41.96 to the place of our birth. 00:28:41.97\00:28:44.08 And we need to be born again spiritually. 00:28:44.09\00:28:47.24 And there is a heart's desire, 00:28:47.25\00:28:48.68 I think of discontent and nearly every person a desire 00:28:48.69\00:28:52.60 to go back to be reborn 00:28:52.61\00:28:54.61 to have wholeness resorted 00:28:54.62\00:28:59.06 back to them, the way the Creator 00:28:59.07\00:29:01.28 made them originally. 00:29:01.29\00:29:05.76 Well, God was not done on day five. 00:29:05.77\00:29:08.28 What else did He create on this fifth day? 00:29:08.29\00:29:12.68 God now fills the space with heavens with birds. 00:29:12.69\00:29:17.48 Notice carefully as we review what's been going on? 00:29:17.49\00:29:22.88 God separated light from the darkness on day one. 00:29:22.89\00:29:27.52 And on day two, He separated water from the water. 00:29:27.53\00:29:32.60 And then, He separated water from land, 00:29:32.61\00:29:37.28 and then He also put in the plants. 00:29:37.29\00:29:40.52 He first created a place in space 00:29:40.53\00:29:45.76 and when He had that space created, 00:29:45.77\00:29:48.20 then He filled that space. 00:29:48.21\00:29:51.76 And then He put the sun and moon 00:29:51.77\00:29:54.00 as we looked at yesterday into the space of the heavens. 00:29:54.01\00:29:58.16 And then tonight we're discovering He filled 00:29:58.17\00:30:01.80 the space of the heavens with birds, 00:30:01.81\00:30:04.60 and the water with fish. 00:30:04.61\00:30:07.36 And tomorrow night we will discover, 00:30:07.37\00:30:09.80 He also put animals and man. 00:30:09.81\00:30:13.68 And so let's take a look at birds, and God said, 00:30:16.09\00:30:20.36 "Let birds fly above the earth across 00:30:20.37\00:30:22.60 the face of the firmament of the heavens 00:30:22.61\00:30:25.04 Genesis 1 verse 20. 00:30:25.05\00:30:29.60 And God created every winged bird according to its kind, 00:30:29.61\00:30:32.76 and God saw that it was good. 00:30:32.77\00:30:36.61 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, 00:30:39.12\00:30:42.80 and let birds multiply on the earth." 00:30:42.81\00:30:44.84 And so the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 00:30:44.85\00:30:50.44 When God created these birds, we notice that God 00:30:50.45\00:30:54.00 does something different with birds and out of the ground 00:30:54.01\00:30:58.76 the Lord God formed every beast of the field 00:30:58.77\00:31:02.24 and every bird of the air. 00:31:02.25\00:31:04.84 Here we discover that the Creator 00:31:04.85\00:31:06.72 now in Genesis 2 verse 19, 00:31:06.73\00:31:09.60 it tells us how He made the birds, 00:31:09.61\00:31:11.64 this isn't just made with sound waves now. 00:31:11.65\00:31:14.16 God is now forming the birds out of the dust of the ground, 00:31:14.17\00:31:19.40 so He takes this earth that has been created 00:31:19.41\00:31:22.60 and now He forms birds from it. 00:31:22.61\00:31:27.08 Jeremiah 8 verse 7 tells us this. 00:31:27.09\00:31:32.56 In Palestine they watch for the return of the stork, 00:31:32.57\00:31:37.72 similar to this one and they come up, 00:31:37.73\00:31:41.04 it's a sure sign of spring 00:31:41.05\00:31:42.84 and they're the largest of the migrating birds. 00:31:42.85\00:31:48.16 "The stork in the heavens knoweth her appointed time; 00:31:48.17\00:31:51.48 and the turtledove, and the crane and the swallow observe 00:31:51.49\00:31:54.28 the time of their coming. 00:31:54.29\00:31:55.87 But My people know not the judgment of the Lord." 00:31:55.88\00:31:59.65 Jeremiah 8 verse 7. 00:31:59.66\00:32:03.23 Birds know their time, they know when to return 00:32:03.24\00:32:05.78 and when to come back. 00:32:05.79\00:32:07.06 But God threw out the challenge, 00:32:07.07\00:32:08.51 but My people do not know the time of God's judgments. 00:32:08.52\00:32:13.95 And there is a reaping, and then there is a sowing, 00:32:13.96\00:32:16.75 and then there is a harvest, and there is a judgment. 00:32:16.76\00:32:19.98 Birds fulfill God's purpose 00:32:19.99\00:32:23.36 and they make long migrations. 00:32:23.37\00:32:26.30 And land they're are guided through trackless 00:32:26.31\00:32:28.21 space by the hand of infinite, but still don't know 00:32:28.22\00:32:32.19 how these birds actually navigate the way they do. 00:32:32.20\00:32:36.89 And of course our famous bird 00:32:36.90\00:32:40.81 from Canada, the Canada goose, 00:32:40.82\00:32:44.43 they fly 70 percent more efficient 00:32:44.44\00:32:47.17 when they're in formation 00:32:47.18\00:32:48.89 than when they're flying by themselves. 00:32:48.90\00:32:51.43 And there were these birds 00:32:51.44\00:32:53.97 they were flying at their migrating time. 00:32:53.98\00:32:57.33 And as they were going the hunters were blazing away 00:32:57.34\00:33:00.41 and one male goose was hit. 00:33:00.42\00:33:03.64 He landed, he was wounded, he couldn't fly, 00:33:03.65\00:33:08.08 but he hid in the bulrushes, the hunters couldn't find him. 00:33:08.09\00:33:11.47 After they had left, he went over to the barnyard 00:33:11.48\00:33:15.04 and when he went over to the barnyard. 00:33:15.05\00:33:17.45 He took up a relationship 00:33:17.46\00:33:20.75 there with the tame geese 00:33:20.76\00:33:23.32 that were there in the barnyard. 00:33:23.33\00:33:25.57 And this tame goose, they took up a relationship 00:33:25.58\00:33:30.10 and as you may know geese made for life. 00:33:30.11\00:33:33.99 I presume there was a flock of little goslings, 00:33:34.00\00:33:38.07 they were half wild and half tame. 00:33:38.08\00:33:39.97 The farmer wondered what's going to happen 00:33:39.98\00:33:42.69 when the next time the wild geese come by. 00:33:42.70\00:33:45.73 Well, he didn't have to long to wait, 00:33:45.74\00:33:47.31 next time you get here, he's mere hawking in the air. 00:33:47.32\00:33:49.96 And the geese were going by and this goose 00:33:49.97\00:33:52.95 got a wild glint in his eye, and boom he took to the air. 00:33:52.96\00:33:57.60 And as you know they're made for life. 00:33:57.61\00:34:00.43 But this tame goose was broken hearted. 00:34:00.44\00:34:03.78 Her mate was gone. 00:34:03.79\00:34:05.85 But now get this three days 00:34:05.86\00:34:08.35 later that goose came back. 00:34:08.36\00:34:13.13 Took up residence and never again attempted to leave. 00:34:13.14\00:34:18.83 But that's not all the story. 00:34:18.84\00:34:20.97 Time went on, there was another hunting season, 00:34:20.98\00:34:23.15 the hunters are blazing away 00:34:23.16\00:34:24.33 and they killed the tame goose. 00:34:24.34\00:34:26.71 I think they were aiming at the wild, 00:34:26.72\00:34:28.33 but they killed the tame one and so the farmer 00:34:28.34\00:34:32.29 took this tame goose and of course 00:34:32.30\00:34:34.63 now this time voyager was the name of the wild goose 00:34:34.64\00:34:40.23 that the farmer gave it, it was broken heart. 00:34:40.24\00:34:43.34 And it was there as the farmer buried this tame goose 00:34:43.35\00:34:46.94 in the back behind the barn there. 00:34:46.95\00:34:49.47 At this time, you could hear the wild honking 00:34:49.48\00:34:51.90 going by and this time the goose looked heavenward 00:34:51.91\00:34:54.73 and then he circled and then he took off. 00:34:54.74\00:34:57.43 But here is a question that I wanna ask you. 00:34:57.44\00:35:00.57 Where do you think 00:35:00.58\00:35:03.43 that goose found the loyalty 00:35:03.44\00:35:07.09 and the self denial to stay with the tame goose? 00:35:07.10\00:35:11.69 I'd like to suggest that's the principle of cross. 00:35:11.70\00:35:15.83 And the Creator has put it even in the heart of a bird. 00:35:15.84\00:35:20.17 If He can put it in the heart of the bird, 00:35:20.18\00:35:21.64 you're thinking put it in the hearts of people, 00:35:21.65\00:35:24.12 I think He can. 00:35:24.13\00:35:25.87 And so this-- there is another story, 00:35:25.88\00:35:29.05 there are so many stories we could tell about geese, 00:35:29.06\00:35:31.37 some day I wanna do may be a whole book just on geese, 00:35:31.38\00:35:35.16 there is so many fascinating stories. 00:35:35.17\00:35:36.99 There was a flock of tame geese 00:35:37.00\00:35:39.72 and the wild geese flew in and these flock of tame geese 00:35:39.73\00:35:43.21 on the farm, they saw this wild geese flying around. 00:35:43.22\00:35:46.37 And when those wild geese took off, 00:35:46.38\00:35:49.38 these tame geese begin to take flying lessons. 00:35:49.39\00:35:53.71 I tell you now, and they worked and worked 00:35:53.72\00:35:55.86 till these tame geese actually learned 00:35:55.87\00:35:58.17 how to fly and they said, it was really kind of scary 00:35:58.18\00:36:01.23 at this farm because you could be doing a work 00:36:01.24\00:36:03.85 and all of a sudden you hear this noise and here comes 00:36:03.86\00:36:06.35 this whole herd of flying tame geese 00:36:06.36\00:36:10.17 just over here your head. 00:36:10.18\00:36:11.69 And they come in for a landing not quite 00:36:11.70\00:36:13.50 as graceful as their wild cousins, 00:36:13.51\00:36:15.75 but tame geese can actually fly like their cousins. 00:36:15.76\00:36:20.74 Well, in Corinthian 15:39 it says, all flesh 00:36:20.75\00:36:26.71 is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh 00:36:26.72\00:36:30.75 for men there is another kind of flesh of beasts, 00:36:30.76\00:36:33.78 and there is another for fish, 00:36:33.79\00:36:35.25 and there is another for birds. 00:36:35.26\00:36:37.46 And so we don't know and we think of our Bible 00:36:37.47\00:36:40.63 says being a science book 00:36:40.64\00:36:44.47 and yet there is knowledge there forth. 00:36:44.48\00:36:46.87 The Western Tanager is another one of the song birds. 00:36:46.88\00:36:51.14 There's about 8,600 species of this particular type. 00:36:51.15\00:36:56.53 Each bird has its ministry. 00:36:56.54\00:36:59.25 About half of the songs birds about 4,000 of them sing. 00:36:59.26\00:37:04.53 Have you ever thought about why birds sing? 00:37:04.54\00:37:09.38 Have you ever noticed how tranquilizing 00:37:09.39\00:37:11.32 it is to the system 00:37:11.33\00:37:13.28 to listen to the birds sing? 00:37:13.29\00:37:17.14 Then a song of Song of Solomon 2 verse 12 says, 00:37:17.15\00:37:19.88 "The flowers appear on the earth; and the time of singing 00:37:19.89\00:37:23.00 of the bird has come, and the voice of turtledove 00:37:23.01\00:37:26.61 is heard in our land." 00:37:26.62\00:37:29.68 What time of year is that? 00:37:29.69\00:37:31.35 That's the spring time. 00:37:31.36\00:37:32.81 And the birds are really is singing away 00:37:32.82\00:37:34.70 at this time of the year. 00:37:34.71\00:37:37.01 And well most of the people are not aware 00:37:37.02\00:37:38.90 that there is what we call the early morning bird chorus. 00:37:38.91\00:37:42.03 How many have ever heard it. 00:37:42.04\00:37:43.87 It takes place one hour before dawn. 00:37:43.88\00:37:47.19 I mean that's early its dark, its like night. 00:37:47.20\00:37:51.14 And the robins wake up the whole crew, 00:37:51.15\00:37:53.22 Tillie tweet, Tillie tweet, Tillie tweet, they sing away 00:37:53.23\00:37:55.90 and then pretty soon another bird would join in 00:37:55.91\00:37:57.99 and another bird would join in and barges 00:37:58.00\00:38:00.73 have long puzzle over the early morning birds chorus, 00:38:00.74\00:38:04.01 because its an hour before dawn and they sing that way 00:38:04.02\00:38:07.34 and they sing at that time of the day and away 00:38:07.35\00:38:10.16 and they don't sing any other time of the day. 00:38:10.17\00:38:12.17 They just--it's not a territorial call, 00:38:12.18\00:38:14.34 its not mating call. 00:38:14.35\00:38:15.44 They just sing and sing away and of course 00:38:15.45\00:38:17.48 I'm a preacher and you can just guess, 00:38:17.49\00:38:19.31 I think they're having morning worship, that's what I think. 00:38:19.32\00:38:22.59 But surprise, surprise, 00:38:22.60\00:38:27.57 they are may be having morning 00:38:27.58\00:38:29.23 worship, but they are doing more than that. 00:38:29.24\00:38:32.85 Science has found out Dan Carlson's 00:38:32.86\00:38:37.53 has done very careful research on this. 00:38:37.54\00:38:39.88 And he developed a plant program called Sonic Bloom 00:38:39.89\00:38:43.46 and what they have learned is this. 00:38:43.47\00:38:46.09 When the birds are signing at 5,000 hertz frequency 00:38:46.10\00:38:49.79 and the early morning birds chorus, 00:38:49.80\00:38:52.20 it actually open the breathing pores of the leaves. 00:38:52.21\00:38:56.18 And the leaves open up and Dan Carlson's Sonic Bloom program 00:38:56.19\00:39:00.93 as you play that frequency causes the pores to open up 00:39:00.94\00:39:04.41 and he says, you can feed the plants 00:39:04.42\00:39:06.22 through their leaves easier than you can through their 00:39:06.23\00:39:09.02 roots and he has planted program, 00:39:09.03\00:39:11.86 you can find out on the internet if you're interested, 00:39:11.87\00:39:15.03 its call Dan Carlson, and its called Sonic Bloom. 00:39:15.04\00:39:19.26 And but here is the interesting point to me. 00:39:19.27\00:39:22.08 When those birds are singing away 00:39:22.09\00:39:23.74 there an hour before dawn, they are playing right 00:39:23.75\00:39:27.46 on a tree house if you please. 00:39:27.47\00:39:29.50 Opening up the breathing pores, 00:39:29.51\00:39:30.87 so the tree can drink in the dew of the night. 00:39:30.88\00:39:33.34 Now isn't that a handy arrangement. 00:39:33.35\00:39:36.12 It just happens to work out that way. 00:39:36.13\00:39:38.00 Well, others are roof sighted Towhee. 00:39:38.01\00:39:40.48 And there is the Quail or Bobwhite creation illustrated 00:39:40.49\00:39:45.13 had a story in there that a neighbor friend 00:39:45.14\00:39:47.04 of mine recorded how one Bobwhite's mate 00:39:47.05\00:39:51.23 was killed and the male took over 00:39:51.24\00:39:53.46 caring for the little flock of birds 00:39:53.47\00:39:55.99 and then the neighboring flock of Quail. 00:39:56.00\00:40:01.02 The one mate was killed then the other one 00:40:01.03\00:40:03.13 was killed and this father took over 00:40:03.14\00:40:05.49 that bunch of baby birds to and he had 20 little birds 00:40:05.50\00:40:08.90 all going along after him looking after them, 00:40:08.91\00:40:11.61 and isn't that incredible. 00:40:11.62\00:40:13.33 That it would give that kind of care 00:40:13.34\00:40:16.12 even to the neighbor's all little birds. 00:40:16.13\00:40:19.65 And then there is the yellow headed-black bird, 00:40:19.66\00:40:22.80 beautiful creatures. 00:40:22.81\00:40:25.85 And then we have the humming bird. 00:40:25.86\00:40:28.17 And you know, they're sort of flying helicopter 00:40:28.18\00:40:30.55 as it were, their wing beats 35 times a second 00:40:30.56\00:40:34.60 and but they do more than are humming, or helicopters. 00:40:34.61\00:40:38.42 They can be flying this way and it can turn 00:40:38.43\00:40:40.32 to 45 degree corner just like that. 00:40:40.33\00:40:43.24 And I don't know if anything that can do 00:40:43.25\00:40:44.48 that going full speed, they go this way in that way, 00:40:44.49\00:40:46.64 and they're just amazing to watch 00:40:46.65\00:40:50.08 the humming birds skill at flying. 00:40:50.09\00:40:53.54 A man was hearing rack at outside his window 00:40:53.55\00:40:56.73 and he looked and there were the humming birds. 00:40:56.74\00:40:59.65 But they were frantic, a garter snake 00:40:59.66\00:41:01.85 that was coming up this bush. 00:41:01.95\00:41:04.70 And they were dive bombing the garter snake, 00:41:04.71\00:41:07.75 but the garter snake didn't pay them any attention 00:41:07.76\00:41:09.71 that were too little to give him any trouble 00:41:09.72\00:41:11.84 and finally in desperation the one went sat on the nest 00:41:11.85\00:41:15.45 and the other one flew off. 00:41:15.46\00:41:16.99 And this while I was just watching this saw 00:41:17.00\00:41:19.50 why did he fly off? 00:41:19.51\00:41:21.30 I didn't have long to wait, 00:41:21.31\00:41:22.96 pretty soon here came the humming bird 00:41:22.97\00:41:25.06 and it was leading a robin. 00:41:25.07\00:41:27.78 And as soon as the obin saw the garter snake 00:41:27.79\00:41:30.08 it immediately attack the garter snake 00:41:30.09\00:41:32.85 and the garter snake made a hasty retreat out 00:41:32.86\00:41:35.41 of the bush, because a robin can kill the garter snake. 00:41:35.42\00:41:39.30 But here is the point. 00:41:39.31\00:41:41.75 I wonder if we're smart as the humming bird. 00:41:41.76\00:41:44.18 That when we take on an enemy that's too big for us, 00:41:44.19\00:41:46.83 do we have another sense to go get somebody 00:41:46.84\00:41:48.41 bigger to take on the enemy. 00:41:48.42\00:41:50.76 And we are contending with an enemy in this world too. 00:41:50.77\00:41:53.82 And we need to find someone bigger than you 00:41:53.83\00:41:56.32 and I to contend with him. 00:41:56.33\00:41:58.94 Well, there's a famous Killdeer and it will risk 00:41:58.95\00:42:01.86 its life in order to protect its young and probably 00:42:01.87\00:42:05.05 all of us have contended with them at one time or another. 00:42:05.06\00:42:09.03 And they lay their eggs in the ground. 00:42:09.04\00:42:10.79 Eggs size, shape, and color, there is a whole science 00:42:10.80\00:42:13.82 to that and they have their nest, but its interesting 00:42:13.83\00:42:17.99 that when Christ came to this earth, 00:42:18.00\00:42:20.95 He had no place to go home like the birds do. 00:42:20.96\00:42:25.33 And then the peacock, this is now wild peacock 00:42:25.34\00:42:29.28 and feathers are an absolute wonder to study 00:42:29.29\00:42:32.63 study and they are aeronautical wonder 00:42:32.64\00:42:35.82 of engineering skill! 00:42:35.83\00:42:37.92 It's one of the lightest things 00:42:37.93\00:42:40.01 known to me and for its strength. 00:42:40.02\00:42:42.10 And a bird can have up to 25,000 feathers in the swan 00:42:42.11\00:42:47.30 with 12 nerve ending per wing tip feather. 00:42:47.31\00:42:50.10 So he can just guide that with just the slightest touch 00:42:50.11\00:42:53.28 of its finger as it work. 00:42:53.29\00:42:55.83 And talk about color, how is for color. 00:42:55.84\00:42:59.70 You know, ladies and we think about trying 00:42:59.71\00:43:02.24 to find an attractive dress. 00:43:02.25\00:43:05.29 You will never outdo the birds. 00:43:05.30\00:43:08.48 And yet all the feathers of an owl 00:43:08.49\00:43:12.27 will weigh one and half ounces. 00:43:12.28\00:43:15.14 And they can fly so silently. 00:43:15.15\00:43:18.26 I remember I was taking on one time 00:43:18.27\00:43:20.48 and he flew in beside me and I've never heard him at all. 00:43:20.49\00:43:23.44 And there is a road runner become quite famous. 00:43:23.45\00:43:25.85 Then there's the Tern. 00:43:25.86\00:43:28.04 How is this for a hairdo? 00:43:28.05\00:43:30.28 You got to admit, you got to go to beauty parlor 00:43:30.29\00:43:32.62 long time to find something like that. 00:43:32.63\00:43:34.37 And then gentleman if you gonna go to church. 00:43:34.38\00:43:37.23 Could you have better dress than this? 00:43:37.24\00:43:40.52 Birds usually mate for the time 00:43:40.53\00:43:44.18 and which they have their young 00:43:44.19\00:43:46.47 and of course some birds mate for life. 00:43:46.48\00:43:51.28 And there go bunting, 00:43:51.29\00:43:53.52 turkeys what about the song birds. 00:43:53.53\00:43:58.19 Behold the fowl of the air, 00:43:58.20\00:43:59.37 they toll not, neither do they spin 00:43:59.38\00:44:01.10 nor gather into barns, 00:44:01.11\00:44:02.68 yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. 00:44:02.69\00:44:04.62 Are you not much greater than they? 00:44:04.63\00:44:07.28 Do we really need to worry about our food? 00:44:07.29\00:44:09.86 And you know, this day horticultural society 00:44:09.87\00:44:12.35 of Kansas George A. Blair States, 00:44:12.36\00:44:14.91 "Kansas has 256 million birds, 00:44:14.92\00:44:20.66 and every year these birds eat enough insects to fill 00:44:20.67\00:44:25.18 480 trains of 50 boxcars each, 00:44:25.19\00:44:29.81 with 24, 000 pounds per car." 00:44:29.82\00:44:32.98 That is the birds of Kansas will eat 576 million pounds 00:44:32.99\00:44:38.08 I insect every season. 00:44:38.09\00:44:41.50 Let me tell you, do the birds serve us? 00:44:41.51\00:44:44.92 Yes, they do. 00:44:44.93\00:44:46.41 And there is the flicker. 00:44:46.42\00:44:47.54 And then there is the eagle. 00:45:02.70\00:45:04.25 And think about the birds 00:45:04.26\00:45:09.28 and so let's draw conclusion to this message tonight. 00:45:09.29\00:45:13.15 In God's wonder world of nature, 00:45:37.96\00:45:40.85 there are many things that 00:45:40.86\00:45:43.57 often attract our attention. 00:45:43.58\00:45:45.20 And as we go out into that 00:45:48.82\00:45:52.38 beauty of nature, 00:45:52.39\00:45:56.99 there are things that attract our attention 00:45:57.00\00:46:01.64 saying please study me next. 00:46:01.65\00:46:05.15 And as we 00:46:13.46\00:46:22.00 take a look 00:46:22.01\00:46:25.47 at the beautiful mountains 00:46:25.48\00:46:26.47 in the distance and anybody who has ever done 00:46:28.45\00:46:32.49 any mountain climbing know that, 00:46:32.50\00:46:35.72 they also have their own 00:46:35.73\00:46:38.86 variety of beauty. 00:46:38.87\00:46:41.91 And in those mountains we find birds of all kinds 00:46:46.35\00:46:52.22 that invite us to look at them. 00:46:52.23\00:46:58.80 The trees, there are all kinds of trees 00:47:36.41\00:47:39.25 and they are at their beauty. 00:47:39.26\00:47:47.13 And as we think about the beauties of water, 00:49:22.15\00:49:26.71 there is a relationship, 00:50:15.50\00:50:18.24 and we find as we look into the world of nature. 00:51:26.32\00:51:29.45 There is this symbiotic relationship 00:51:29.46\00:51:34.78 and at the water falls you can see salmon 00:51:34.79\00:51:40.71 as they would jump 10 foot water falls. 00:51:40.72\00:51:46.87 And eagles often build their nest high up in a tree. 00:52:18.36\00:52:29.02 And what a thrill it is to watch 00:52:29.03\00:52:32.58 the eagle as it spread its wings. 00:52:32.59\00:52:37.73 And the question is, the Bible speaks of the eagle 00:53:03.10\00:53:06.67 and it says, they that 00:53:12.12\00:53:18.95 wait on the Lord will be like the eagle. 00:53:18.96\00:53:25.27 Have you ever thought about how the eagle is able to fly? 00:53:33.09\00:53:41.14 If you can have the lights out. 00:53:45.19\00:53:46.66 And the eagle, 00:54:04.76\00:54:06.40 as it goes to fly. 00:54:12.62\00:54:17.68 How does it fly? 00:54:21.23\00:54:23.26 The Bible says, "They that wait up on the Lord 00:54:23.27\00:54:25.41 we will renew their strength. 00:54:25.42\00:54:28.05 And they will mount up with wings like an eagle 00:54:28.06\00:54:33.81 and they that are weary can be refreshed, 00:54:33.82\00:54:37.52 and gain their strength." 00:54:37.53\00:54:40.53 And how does an eagle fly? 00:54:40.54\00:54:43.62 The eagle does not fly by its own effort or strength. 00:54:43.63\00:54:49.48 The eagle will put out his wings 00:54:49.49\00:54:54.68 and as he puts out its wings, 00:54:54.69\00:54:58.87 he puts it upon a law that it can't even see, 00:54:58.88\00:55:03.44 the law of thermodynamics. 00:55:03.45\00:55:05.93 And relying on that law with the swings out spread, 00:55:05.94\00:55:10.31 that law will lift the eagle to any height 00:55:10.32\00:55:13.83 it needs to go just by relying 00:55:13.84\00:55:16.93 totally on an invisible law outside it self. 00:55:16.94\00:55:22.11 And the Bible invites us to wait upon the Lord 00:55:22.12\00:55:27.32 to put our strength on a divine 00:55:27.33\00:55:29.80 power outside ourselves. 00:55:29.81\00:55:32.10 And if we will, that divine power 00:55:32.11\00:55:35.56 can restore back the years 00:55:35.57\00:55:37.19 the locust have eaten, that power can lift you up 00:55:37.20\00:55:40.72 and take you to any height that you need to go 00:55:40.73\00:55:44.26 and my appeal to you tonight is why not put your wait 00:55:44.27\00:55:48.96 fully on God's Holy law, His Ten Commandments 00:55:48.97\00:55:53.25 and allow His spirit to create that law in your heart 00:55:53.26\00:55:57.42 of hearts and that divine power working 00:55:57.43\00:56:00.59 on the inside will recreate you 00:56:00.60\00:56:03.89 to become a total new person. 00:56:03.90\00:56:09.21 So speak to the birds, speak to the fish, 00:56:09.22\00:56:11.33 they would tell you who among all these does not know 00:56:11.34\00:56:14.84 that the hand of the Lord have done this. 00:56:14.85\00:56:19.70 Could we just bow our heads for prayer? 00:56:19.71\00:56:24.22 Holy Father as surely as you breathe life 00:56:24.23\00:56:29.67 into this creatures the fish and the birds, 00:56:29.68\00:56:34.08 as surely as You've given them life on this fifth day 00:56:34.09\00:56:38.00 and began to feel your world with creatures 00:56:38.01\00:56:41.37 that could live and move and have their being and function. 00:56:41.38\00:56:46.33 Under water that you put into them and so Lord 00:56:47.44\00:56:52.65 we wanna the learn the lesson of the eagle 00:56:52.66\00:56:55.71 to wait on the Lord and He will renewed our strength 00:56:55.72\00:57:00.27 like the eagle as we rely on a divine power 00:57:00.28\00:57:04.62 totally outside our self. 00:57:04.63\00:57:06.73 And if we do lift such a prayer of tonight, 00:57:06.74\00:57:11.69 let him do it from the inside our a new creation 00:57:11.70\00:57:17.15 thank you now in Jesus name. Amen. 00:57:17.16\00:57:21.44
