Dr. Kay. 00:10:37.93\00:10:42.20 Damon. Welcome. 00:10:42.24\00:10:43.94 Thank you, Sir. 00:10:43.97\00:10:46.41 We're going to talk about Kay for a little bit. 00:10:46.44\00:10:49.38 Oh, okay.? 00:10:49.41\00:10:50.75 And she had some challenges coming here, 00:10:50.78\00:10:52.91 she had lost her husband, she had gotten out of shape, 00:10:52.95\00:10:56.62 she had gotten into a pretty poor condition 00:10:56.65\00:10:59.25 physically, 00:10:59.29\00:11:00.62 but she came here and you saw something in her 00:11:00.66\00:11:03.29 that was very unique to her healing. 00:11:03.32\00:11:05.66 What was that? 00:11:05.69\00:11:07.03 Well, from the very first day we met, 00:11:07.06\00:11:09.56 we have what's called orientation, 00:11:09.60\00:11:10.93 we walk into the room and I hear this voice say, 00:11:10.97\00:11:14.90 "Hey, there's a Dr. Kay. I'm Kay. 00:11:14.94\00:11:17.01 We're going to get along great." 00:11:17.04\00:11:18.37 You know, she had this 00:11:18.41\00:11:19.74 just this positive attitude about her, 00:11:19.77\00:11:21.94 which was wonderful. 00:11:21.98\00:11:23.45 And, you know, despite life had been tough on her, 00:11:23.48\00:11:29.15 I would say difficulty with her back, 00:11:29.18\00:11:32.29 mobility issues, diabetes, losing her husband, 00:11:32.32\00:11:36.02 and she said always struggling with weight 00:11:36.06\00:11:38.09 since she was young. 00:11:38.13\00:11:41.00 Nothing ever seemed to ever bother her or get her down. 00:11:41.03\00:11:44.63 She was always up and ready to go. 00:11:44.67\00:11:47.67 And that attitude was really important. 00:11:47.70\00:11:50.14 Yeah, she was a very upbeat person. 00:11:50.17\00:11:52.47 She was on a walker for some time here. 00:11:52.51\00:11:55.31 But she was always there, active with everything, 00:11:55.34\00:11:58.18 all the trails, all the walking at the mine, 00:11:58.21\00:12:01.12 she was always doing what she could do 00:12:01.15\00:12:03.62 the best that she could. 00:12:03.65\00:12:06.25 And did it have a payoff for her? 00:12:06.29\00:12:07.89 Oh, it absolutely had a payoff for her. Absolutely. 00:12:07.92\00:12:11.09 You know, many people when they come here, 00:12:11.13\00:12:12.83 want to see results. 00:12:12.86\00:12:15.03 But they think it's going to happen 00:12:15.06\00:12:16.40 by magic or something, I don't know. 00:12:16.43\00:12:18.60 But she put the work in, 00:12:18.63\00:12:19.97 and yes, she actually saw wonderful results. 00:12:20.00\00:12:22.30 She had lost almost 10 pounds. 00:12:22.34\00:12:24.51 It was great to see. 00:12:24.54\00:12:26.11 And that's not always easy 00:12:26.14\00:12:27.48 when you're, you know, a smaller person. 00:12:27.51\00:12:31.21 Short too. Yeah. 00:12:31.25\00:12:32.78 Yes, I mean she was a shorter person. 00:12:32.81\00:12:35.95 And seems also like the older we are, 00:12:35.98\00:12:37.95 the more difficult to have losing weight sometimes, 00:12:37.99\00:12:39.89 and ladies have a harder time than men. 00:12:39.92\00:12:41.86 So she had some of these big strikes against you, 00:12:41.89\00:12:44.76 so to speak, 00:12:44.79\00:12:46.13 where sometimes, weight loss is more modest 00:12:46.16\00:12:47.76 and it's easy to get down. 00:12:47.80\00:12:49.13 And the fact that she couldn't walk 00:12:49.16\00:12:51.87 the same way everybody else could, 00:12:51.90\00:12:54.30 you know, many people are out, 00:12:54.34\00:12:55.67 you know, as soon as the gun went off, 00:12:55.70\00:12:57.04 they're out hiking, doing things, 00:12:57.07\00:12:59.97 and she was with the walker, just doing what she could. 00:13:00.01\00:13:02.98 And, you know, I think that's a really important lesson 00:13:03.01\00:13:05.01 because there are many of our viewers 00:13:05.05\00:13:06.61 I'm sure who... 00:13:06.65\00:13:08.28 You know, life has not been great, 00:13:08.32\00:13:10.42 things happen. 00:13:10.45\00:13:11.79 And we, sometimes, 00:13:11.82\00:13:13.15 have a lot of excuses of why not. 00:13:13.19\00:13:17.66 You know, but she looked for excuses to do, 00:13:17.69\00:13:24.00 "Why not do it? I can do it. Doesn't matter?" 00:13:24.03\00:13:26.87 You know, the other why not, "Why not do it? 00:13:26.90\00:13:29.44 I can do it. I can do anything. 00:13:29.47\00:13:30.97 You know, what I can do, I'm going to do." 00:13:31.01\00:13:32.94 And that real positive attitude makes a difference. 00:13:32.97\00:13:35.44 Yeah, there's a lot of studies that have been done 00:13:35.48\00:13:37.91 on how a positive attitude can affect you 00:13:37.95\00:13:41.88 'cause you're right, there's a lot of guests 00:13:41.92\00:13:43.35 that do come here and when they hear, 00:13:43.39\00:13:46.22 you know, Dr. Gallant tells them 00:13:46.25\00:13:47.59 right off the bat, "Your new medicine 00:13:47.62\00:13:48.96 is going to be walking, and diet, 00:13:48.99\00:13:52.66 and drinking, and getting outside." 00:13:52.69\00:13:55.03 When they hear all this activity 00:13:55.06\00:13:57.27 and interaction, 00:13:57.30\00:13:58.83 taking a responsibility for their own health, 00:13:58.87\00:14:00.84 it discourages some people, and they're like, 00:14:00.87\00:14:02.97 "I don't know if I signed up for this." 00:14:03.00\00:14:04.81 But whereas, people like Kay, and you're right, 00:14:04.84\00:14:08.14 comes severely handicapped to what most people would be. 00:14:08.18\00:14:11.28 She's got all these issues, but she does her best, 00:14:11.31\00:14:13.55 she's got a great attitude, 00:14:13.58\00:14:15.02 and she leaves here in good shape, 00:14:15.05\00:14:16.79 somewhat, you know? 00:14:16.82\00:14:18.15 And she's got a long road to go, 00:14:18.19\00:14:19.52 she knows that, 00:14:19.55\00:14:20.89 but she is definitely on the road. 00:14:20.92\00:14:23.83 And so did her numbers change? Did she... Her diabetes... 00:14:23.86\00:14:27.10 Her diabetes numbers are improved. 00:14:27.13\00:14:28.96 Yeah, absolutely. 00:14:29.00\00:14:30.33 All her weight, diabetes, everything did so much better. 00:14:30.37\00:14:33.37 And there's one other aspect that's really important 00:14:33.40\00:14:35.80 and that was not just a positive attitude by itself, 00:14:35.84\00:14:39.01 but an attitude of positivity and trust in God, you know? 00:14:39.04\00:14:44.05 And that relationship and walk with God that she had, 00:14:44.08\00:14:48.08 I know it was a source of strength for her 00:14:48.12\00:14:50.49 and I'm sure a lot of where that positivity came from. 00:14:50.52\00:14:52.59 Oh, sure because I had a Fresh Start lecture, 00:14:52.62\00:14:54.59 you know, and she was one of those there 00:14:54.62\00:14:56.89 with her Bible open, taking notes, 00:14:56.93\00:14:59.19 and she always was writing step along with me. 00:14:59.23\00:15:03.00 And that's why we do what we do here. 00:15:03.03\00:15:05.73 We bring the spiritual in with the health 00:15:05.77\00:15:07.74 for a reason and a purpose. 00:15:07.77\00:15:09.80 It does create a positive attitude, 00:15:09.84\00:15:11.97 but it's also the help that they're going to need. 00:15:12.01\00:15:14.24 I mean all the tools for spiritual recovery 00:15:14.28\00:15:16.44 are the same tools that you're going to need 00:15:16.48\00:15:18.08 to help you with health. 00:15:18.11\00:15:19.75 And people like Kay can greatly benefit from it. 00:15:19.78\00:15:22.88 And, you know, a better health, a better outlook, 00:15:22.92\00:15:26.22 a better activity, it would help you 00:15:26.25\00:15:28.12 also with people they get in her situation 00:15:28.16\00:15:30.63 or losing a spouse. 00:15:30.66\00:15:32.06 It gives her a positive outlet to not get caught 00:15:32.09\00:15:35.86 into depression and things like that. 00:15:35.90\00:15:37.70 Yeah. Exactly. Yes, so what would... 00:15:37.73\00:15:40.74 You know, parting words about Kay? 00:15:40.77\00:15:42.37 What would stand out to you the most about her 00:15:42.40\00:15:44.47 that you could encourage other people with it, 00:15:44.51\00:15:46.17 in a similar situation? 00:15:46.21\00:15:48.24 No matter what and you've been dealt, 00:15:48.28\00:15:52.38 there's always another one, somebody that's worse, 00:15:52.41\00:15:54.85 but that didn't help you feel better. 00:15:54.88\00:15:56.69 But no matter where you are, 00:15:56.72\00:15:58.05 God can pick you up and bring you along 00:15:58.09\00:16:00.32 and give you the courage, strength, and the attitude 00:16:00.36\00:16:03.26 to do well regardless. 00:16:03.29\00:16:04.63 Right. 00:16:04.66\00:16:05.99 So the NEWSTART can help anybody, anytime, anywhere. 00:16:06.03\00:16:08.80 These principles combined with God working in your life. 00:16:08.83\00:16:12.73 They're magical. They're powerful tools. 00:16:12.77\00:16:15.50 And, you know, someone like that, 00:16:15.54\00:16:17.11 that comes here, that's hurting, 00:16:17.14\00:16:18.51 that's painful to see them leave 00:16:18.54\00:16:22.21 in a different state of mind is such a blessing. 00:16:22.24\00:16:25.11 Amen. 00:16:25.15\00:16:26.48 Well, Dr. Kay, we're out of time. 00:16:26.51\00:16:27.85 But thank you so much for your ministry here. 00:16:27.88\00:16:29.22 Oh, you're most welcome. 00:16:29.25\00:16:30.69 It always good to talk with you, Damon. 00:16:30.72\00:16:33.36 Friends, don't go away. We'll be right back. 00:16:33.39\00:16:35.82 Welcome back, friends. Help me welcome Pastor Snead. 00:16:39.66\00:16:42.73 Hey, friend. Thanks. 00:16:42.76\00:16:44.10 Yeah. 00:16:44.13\00:16:45.47 I want to explain to our guests who are watching now 00:16:45.50\00:16:49.54 that you were here interviewing doctors 00:16:49.57\00:16:52.74 and now you're there, next time, 00:16:52.77\00:16:55.71 maybe you can be the doctor, and I'll be the pastor. 00:16:55.74\00:16:59.61 Yeah, I don't think so. 00:16:59.65\00:17:01.58 That was an odd experience to be over there. 00:17:01.62\00:17:04.35 I even caught myself sounding a little bit like you. 00:17:04.39\00:17:09.16 Well, that's not a bad thing, I hope. 00:17:09.19\00:17:11.39 Anyway, thank you for being here 00:17:11.43\00:17:13.50 and I want to talk about Kay real quick 00:17:13.53\00:17:15.83 because Kay said some things to me 00:17:15.86\00:17:19.63 that are pretty profound. 00:17:19.67\00:17:21.30 I mean, knowing that her body 00:17:21.34\00:17:23.77 is the temple of the Holy Spirit. 00:17:23.81\00:17:26.51 It was so good to hear or say that. 00:17:26.54\00:17:28.81 But she was skating over some issues that she has 00:17:28.84\00:17:33.38 and focusing all about weight. 00:17:33.42\00:17:36.72 Now weight comes in a lot of different forms, 00:17:36.75\00:17:39.52 both spiritually and physically. 00:17:39.55\00:17:41.32 That's right. 00:17:41.36\00:17:42.69 And so what do you have to say 00:17:42.72\00:17:45.09 about her learning here at the NEWSTART program 00:17:45.13\00:17:51.50 about her spiritual wellbeing? 00:17:51.53\00:17:54.04 Well, I think, with Kay is they're so many others. 00:17:54.07\00:17:57.34 That last statement that she makes is loaded, 00:17:57.37\00:18:01.84 it's a big idea that... 00:18:01.88\00:18:05.11 Yes, God... 00:18:05.15\00:18:06.68 And I think, primarily we got to keep focus on the gospel 00:18:06.72\00:18:09.18 that is her... 00:18:09.22\00:18:10.55 'cause she said, "I want to be in heaven." 00:18:10.59\00:18:12.92 And that's why we take the time when people come here 00:18:12.95\00:18:16.32 is to go through the gospel step by step by step 00:18:16.36\00:18:20.20 so that you know that your feet are grounded 00:18:20.23\00:18:23.80 solidly in Christ and you know 00:18:23.83\00:18:26.90 that you can have that assurance of faith, 00:18:26.94\00:18:28.77 you have assurance of salvation. 00:18:28.80\00:18:30.87 And she said, she's of 72, 00:18:30.91\00:18:33.07 I don't know how much longer we'll be here, 00:18:33.11\00:18:34.51 I don't know how much longer this world's going to be here, 00:18:34.54\00:18:37.35 and so that was on her mind and very important. 00:18:37.38\00:18:40.55 And so we take the time at NEWSTART 00:18:40.58\00:18:42.45 to make sure people have that assurance of salvation. 00:18:42.48\00:18:45.35 But she also recognized the importance of the physical 00:18:45.39\00:18:48.92 that God also wants while we're here on this earth 00:18:48.96\00:18:52.19 to have the bodies as fit as possible, 00:18:52.23\00:18:54.16 that's part of our requirements, 00:18:54.20\00:18:55.63 part of the things that God expects from us. 00:18:55.66\00:18:57.77 She said something rather interesting 00:18:57.80\00:18:59.67 that we talked about briefly, 00:18:59.70\00:19:01.90 and that is her husband passed three years ago. 00:19:01.94\00:19:05.04 And you made a comment. 00:19:05.07\00:19:06.41 Isn't it interesting that we see ladies or even men 00:19:06.44\00:19:10.61 who come through the program 00:19:10.65\00:19:12.45 after their significant other has passed 00:19:12.48\00:19:16.25 only to learn that what the lifestyle they were leading 00:19:16.28\00:19:20.09 led to that death? 00:19:20.12\00:19:22.32 That's right. Can you elaborate on that one? 00:19:22.36\00:19:24.69 Oh, I've been here 2 years now 00:19:24.73\00:19:26.86 and at least 700 people have come through. 00:19:26.90\00:19:29.06 And I know scores and scores of women, 00:19:29.10\00:19:32.70 and women technically outlive men. 00:19:32.73\00:19:36.40 But I have seen it over and over. 00:19:36.44\00:19:38.21 Women come when their husbands' been dead a year, two years, 00:19:38.24\00:19:40.64 six months, you know, three years, whatever. 00:19:40.68\00:19:43.58 It's the same story over, and over, and over. 00:19:43.61\00:19:45.61 And now they're coming to do something about their health. 00:19:45.65\00:19:48.65 And they realize how important it would have been 00:19:48.68\00:19:51.59 for their husband five years ago 00:19:51.62\00:19:54.26 if they would have came together, 00:19:54.29\00:19:57.09 the husband, more than likely, 00:19:57.13\00:19:58.63 would have made all these reversals 00:19:58.66\00:20:01.13 and still be alive. 00:20:01.16\00:20:02.53 They could be doing a program together. 00:20:02.56\00:20:04.17 So if I could say one thing to men, 00:20:04.20\00:20:06.60 don't take your women outlive you. 00:20:06.63\00:20:08.17 Right. 00:20:08.20\00:20:09.54 You know, come to the program before they do 00:20:09.57\00:20:11.81 because especially the older that men get, 00:20:11.84\00:20:14.74 the more important it is, the more likely you will die 00:20:14.78\00:20:17.58 before your spouse, your wife. 00:20:17.61\00:20:19.48 And so this place has the power and potential to reverse that. 00:20:19.51\00:20:23.69 And, you know, Kay is just an example of that. 00:20:23.72\00:20:25.99 Dr. Ing used to say, 00:20:26.02\00:20:27.36 "You know, if you come to the NEWSTART program, 00:20:27.39\00:20:30.29 chances are you'll live another 10, 15, 20 years. 00:20:30.33\00:20:34.70 And if your own Social Security only... 00:20:34.73\00:20:37.50 This is the example he gave. 00:20:37.53\00:20:39.33 "And let's say you getting 00:20:39.37\00:20:41.14 $10,000 a year on Social Security, 00:20:41.17\00:20:42.84 which is a low number, and you live another 10 years, 00:20:42.87\00:20:47.84 that's $100,000. 00:20:47.88\00:20:50.38 And 20 years would be $200,000. 00:20:50.41\00:20:54.45 So to pay $4,000, $5,000 00:20:54.48\00:20:56.72 for a session is nothing, right?" 00:20:56.75\00:20:59.02 That's the example he gave. 00:20:59.05\00:21:00.86 Nonetheless, I like what you say 00:21:00.89\00:21:02.76 about husband and wife coming together. 00:21:02.79\00:21:05.43 I think that would be huge 00:21:05.46\00:21:07.16 if we get spouse here together. 00:21:07.20\00:21:09.36 That's right. 00:21:09.40\00:21:10.73 They'd benefit each other, 00:21:10.77\00:21:12.10 they both know what they're doing, 00:21:12.13\00:21:14.37 and they will get to live longer together. 00:21:14.40\00:21:16.17 Amen. I mean, right. 00:21:16.20\00:21:17.54 You want to be with your loved ones 00:21:17.57\00:21:18.91 as much as you can. 00:21:18.94\00:21:20.28 And they can both go to heaven together 00:21:20.31\00:21:24.25 rather than... 00:21:24.28\00:21:25.61 That's right. They'll get the spirit. 00:21:25.65\00:21:26.98 They'll make sure they both got it. 00:21:27.02\00:21:28.35 Amen. 00:21:28.38\00:21:30.02 I want to thank you for two things. 00:21:30.05\00:21:32.09 Thank you for filling in for me earlier. 00:21:32.12\00:21:34.99 And thank you for your time. God bless you, brother. 00:21:35.02\00:21:38.36 I'll see you around. Don't go away. 00:21:38.39\00:21:40.40 We have an important message to follow. 00:21:40.43\00:21:42.16 Welcome to Weimar Institute Research. 00:22:18.27\00:22:21.14 Weimar Institute is committed to not only improving 00:22:21.17\00:22:25.31 patients' clinically who come here, 00:22:25.34\00:22:27.98 but actually documenting the results 00:22:28.01\00:22:31.01 and doing studies that can help 00:22:31.05\00:22:33.55 educate the world 00:22:33.58\00:22:35.38 on how it can be a better place, 00:22:35.42\00:22:37.49 and how we can utilize information 00:22:37.52\00:22:40.99 in healing our hurting world. 00:22:41.02\00:22:43.39 One of the ways in which the world hurts, Dr. Ramirez, 00:22:43.43\00:22:47.43 who by the way is our Director of Weimar Institute Research 00:22:47.46\00:22:51.30 and teaches our pre-med students 00:22:51.33\00:22:53.34 and nursing students at the college 00:22:53.37\00:22:55.20 and research methods. 00:22:55.24\00:22:57.21 One of the ways in which the world hurts 00:22:57.24\00:23:00.74 is chest pain. 00:23:00.78\00:23:02.98 We call it angina. 00:23:03.01\00:23:04.81 Tell us a little bit about what angina is. 00:23:04.85\00:23:06.88 Yeah. 00:23:06.92\00:23:08.25 Angina is when the arteries of the heart 00:23:08.28\00:23:11.12 have been so closed through atherosclerosis 00:23:11.15\00:23:16.22 that the heart doesn't get enough oxygen 00:23:16.26\00:23:19.19 and starts complaining 00:23:19.23\00:23:20.60 anytime you do some sort of exercise, 00:23:20.63\00:23:23.16 even small amounts of exercise 00:23:23.20\00:23:25.80 can trigger a pain in the heart. 00:23:25.83\00:23:28.44 These people are in big trouble 00:23:28.47\00:23:30.81 because heart attack is just next door to them. 00:23:30.84\00:23:33.94 Okay. 00:23:33.98\00:23:35.31 So angina or chest pressure, often, it really isn't a pain. 00:23:35.34\00:23:40.22 I've had many patients say, "Well, it's not really a pain, 00:23:40.25\00:23:43.65 it's a pressure. 00:23:43.69\00:23:45.02 You know, it feels like maybe an elephant 00:23:45.05\00:23:47.26 is sitting on my chest." 00:23:47.29\00:23:49.12 And it can radiate up into the neck, 00:23:49.16\00:23:51.19 and into the jaw, 00:23:51.23\00:23:52.56 and it can go into the left arm. 00:23:52.59\00:23:54.73 And sometimes, you can get nauseated with it. 00:23:54.76\00:23:57.67 You can get short of breath, you can break out into a sweat. 00:23:57.70\00:24:01.40 And when you quit exercising, it goes away 00:24:01.44\00:24:04.57 'cause the heart's able to pick back up again 00:24:04.61\00:24:06.78 and it's not having to work so hard 00:24:06.81\00:24:08.58 for those constricted arteries. 00:24:08.61\00:24:11.21 Well, many people with that symptom 00:24:11.25\00:24:13.52 come to Weimar Institute 00:24:13.55\00:24:15.35 to go through the NEWSTART program. 00:24:15.38\00:24:17.82 And sad to say, Dr. Ramirez, 00:24:17.85\00:24:19.79 we've had many patients come here 00:24:19.82\00:24:21.46 because they're out of options, 00:24:21.49\00:24:23.43 they've had all the bypasses they can have, 00:24:23.46\00:24:25.89 they have no veins left in their legs to bypass, 00:24:25.93\00:24:29.70 and their heart surgeon says, 00:24:29.73\00:24:32.20 "There is nothing more that we can do for you. 00:24:32.23\00:24:34.64 And maybe you need to go to Weimar Institute now." 00:24:34.67\00:24:37.67 That might have been nice to know about that 00:24:37.71\00:24:39.24 before you went through 00:24:39.27\00:24:40.61 all of those heart bypass surgeries 00:24:40.64\00:24:42.24 and the complications of those surgeries 00:24:42.28\00:24:44.48 because the good news about atherosclerosis 00:24:44.51\00:24:47.95 is it can be reversed without surgery. 00:24:47.98\00:24:51.02 And it can actually be reversed 00:24:51.05\00:24:53.09 through diet and lifestyle factors 00:24:53.12\00:24:54.96 of what we teach people 00:24:54.99\00:24:57.23 and actually put into practice here at Weimar Institute. 00:24:57.26\00:25:00.66 So tell us what group was studied 00:25:00.70\00:25:03.57 in this particular study. 00:25:03.60\00:25:05.43 So we focused on those patients that had angina. 00:25:05.47\00:25:08.74 From 2,080 patients, if we go and look at that database, 00:25:08.77\00:25:15.18 we find that 133 of them had angina as a diagnosis, 00:25:15.21\00:25:21.75 why they came to the NEWSTART program. 00:25:21.78\00:25:24.15 Okay. 00:25:24.19\00:25:25.52 So yeah, it's amazing, over 2,000 people 00:25:25.55\00:25:28.12 have gone through the 18-day program 00:25:28.16\00:25:30.43 at the time or during the years 00:25:30.46\00:25:31.93 that you analyzed on this section. 00:25:31.96\00:25:33.83 Eleven years of data. Eleven years of data. 00:25:33.86\00:25:36.60 And 133 of them were here because of their chest pain. 00:25:36.63\00:25:41.10 That's right. And they were out of options. 00:25:41.14\00:25:43.20 That's right. 00:25:43.24\00:25:44.57 So what we're trying to see, 00:25:44.61\00:25:45.94 what happens to those risk factors 00:25:45.97\00:25:48.94 that can give us a prognosis, an idea of what's going 00:25:48.98\00:25:52.08 to come to them at the long-term. 00:25:52.11\00:25:54.75 So we were measuring important things 00:25:54.78\00:25:56.95 like cholesterol, and bad cholesterol, and HDL 00:25:56.99\00:26:02.12 to see what change does the program will cause 00:26:02.16\00:26:05.49 on this particular subgroup of patients. 00:26:05.53\00:26:08.13 Okay. 00:26:08.16\00:26:09.50 And so what did we find out at the end of 18 days? 00:26:09.53\00:26:11.63 So we found out that on average, 00:26:11.67\00:26:13.67 the total cholesterol on average was 218 00:26:13.70\00:26:16.91 which is high, 00:26:16.94\00:26:18.27 too high for somebody with angina. 00:26:18.31\00:26:20.68 Those people by the end of the 18-day program, 00:26:20.71\00:26:25.11 their cholesterol had dropped 28 points 00:26:25.15\00:26:27.85 and there was a significant change 00:26:27.88\00:26:29.75 as a result of those 2 values. 00:26:29.78\00:26:32.82 So even if they had advanced heart disease, 00:26:32.85\00:26:35.16 their cholesterol still improved dramatically 00:26:35.19\00:26:38.59 as a result of coming to the 18-day program. 00:26:38.63\00:26:41.20 To start that process that we were just talking about 00:26:41.23\00:26:43.97 of atherosclerosis reversal, 00:26:44.00\00:26:46.47 as you start doing these changes long-term, 00:26:46.50\00:26:49.97 patients also started reporting that the amount of chest pain 00:26:50.01\00:26:54.21 or chest pressure started to the decrease 00:26:54.24\00:26:56.64 as a result of the blood flow 00:26:56.68\00:26:58.61 started to come into their heart. 00:26:58.65\00:27:00.42 Now if someone wants to learn more about this study, 00:27:00.45\00:27:02.78 where was it published? 00:27:02.82\00:27:04.15 And this was published 00:27:04.19\00:27:05.52 in an American Heart Association Journal 00:27:05.55\00:27:08.29 called Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis, 00:27:08.32\00:27:10.93 and Vascular Biology. 00:27:10.96\00:27:12.69 Also, LDL cholesterol, 00:27:12.73\00:27:14.56 you know, came down 21 points, 00:27:14.60\00:27:17.70 which is the bad cholesterol, 00:27:17.73\00:27:19.20 the one that is really triggering 00:27:19.23\00:27:20.90 that atherosclerosis, 00:27:20.94\00:27:23.30 and the HDL, the good cholesterol, 00:27:23.34\00:27:26.51 it stayed the same, which is good news. 00:27:26.54\00:27:28.68 Okay, well, I would encourage anyone with chest pain, 00:27:28.71\00:27:33.82 don't wait until you're out of options, 00:27:33.85\00:27:36.92 come to NEWSTART Now. 00:27:36.95\00:27:39.62 And thanks for joining us at Weimar Institute Research. 00:27:39.65\00:27:43.36 Well, friends, that's it for today. 00:27:46.90\00:27:48.43 But join us next week for another episode. 00:27:48.46\00:27:51.80 In the meantime, pick up the phone 00:27:51.83\00:27:53.30 and give us a call at 1-800-525-9192. 00:27:53.34\00:27:59.21 Mention the NEWSTART Now program 00:27:59.24\00:28:02.04 and receive the NEWSTART Special. 00:28:02.08\00:28:04.55
