This really makes sense." 00:01:58.31\00:02:02.05 So basically, 00:02:02.08\00:02:05.05 I saw it helping from the top of your head 00:02:05.09\00:02:08.06 to the bottom of your feet, 00:02:08.09\00:02:10.53 not just medical but spiritual. 00:02:10.56\00:02:13.80 And medical of course, in a new way of doing it. 00:02:13.83\00:02:18.37 Last March, I had a tumor in my colon removed 00:02:18.40\00:02:23.51 and I had some complications. 00:02:23.54\00:02:26.17 So I most likely would, 00:02:26.21\00:02:28.64 the most that I'd really like to have 00:02:28.68\00:02:30.81 is to be clean of the cancer. 00:02:30.85\00:02:35.15 But I'm really excited about the spiritual aspect, 00:02:35.18\00:02:40.19 where the people pray for you. 00:02:40.22\00:02:43.26 And so it's... 00:02:43.29\00:02:46.80 It's a combination really, 00:02:46.83\00:02:48.86 it's a complete healing of body, mind and soul, 00:02:48.90\00:02:52.43 more than just treating one aspect of it. 00:02:52.47\00:02:57.01 And with the good Lord helping, I'm expecting great things. 00:02:57.04\00:03:01.88 So I wanted to address the cost of all my medicines, 00:03:01.91\00:03:06.28 and I take a lot of medicines. 00:03:06.31\00:03:08.35 And for whatever reason, 00:03:08.38\00:03:12.49 they just keep jumping and jumping. 00:03:12.52\00:03:15.26 I had one that was $10, and then it was $20, 00:03:15.29\00:03:19.53 then it was $50, now it's a $110. 00:03:19.56\00:03:22.63 This is just in the last year. 00:03:22.66\00:03:25.57 So not only did I want to get rid of the medicine, 00:03:25.60\00:03:29.30 'cause I'd rather my body fights for me, 00:03:29.34\00:03:34.01 but the cost is really becoming a problem. 00:03:34.04\00:03:39.81 Welcome back, friends. 00:03:39.85\00:03:41.18 And in our studio, Pat, how are you, sir? 00:03:41.22\00:03:44.05 Great. You look great. 00:03:44.09\00:03:46.59 Thank you. 00:03:46.62\00:03:47.96 And I want to get right to the mid of the steel 00:03:47.99\00:03:50.63 or excuse me, the versible of the steel. 00:03:50.66\00:03:54.53 How are you feeling? 00:03:54.56\00:03:56.67 I'm feeling mighty good. 00:03:56.70\00:03:58.33 Mighty good? Yes. 00:03:58.37\00:03:59.77 Any big changes that you noticed? 00:03:59.80\00:04:01.80 Yes. What are they? 00:04:01.84\00:04:04.37 Well, I lost 19 pounds. 00:04:04.41\00:04:06.61 Wow. Where did you lose it from? 00:04:06.64\00:04:08.81 Everywhere. 00:04:08.84\00:04:10.18 I lost it from my legs, 00:04:10.21\00:04:12.35 I lost it from my stomach, my face. 00:04:12.38\00:04:14.72 Good. 00:04:14.75\00:04:16.22 You do look different. Thank you. 00:04:16.25\00:04:18.35 And aside from the weight loss, 00:04:18.39\00:04:21.86 did you get off any medications that you like to share? 00:04:21.89\00:04:25.49 Yeah, my doctor said he... 00:04:25.53\00:04:28.40 There was a 95% chance he could treat me 00:04:28.43\00:04:31.83 but you'd never be able to cure me of my diabetic. 00:04:31.87\00:04:37.51 And three days after I was here, 00:04:37.54\00:04:40.04 I was off my medication. 00:04:40.08\00:04:44.55 Oh, wait a minute, you talking about 00:04:44.58\00:04:45.91 your doctor at home, right? 00:04:45.95\00:04:47.35 Yes. Or the doctor here? 00:04:47.38\00:04:49.62 Yeah, the doctor here said, "You can drop all those now." 00:04:49.65\00:04:55.52 What do you attribute that to, Pat? 00:04:55.56\00:04:57.36 I mean, three days. Three days. 00:04:57.39\00:05:00.93 I think it's your system, 00:05:00.96\00:05:04.47 and it's the fruits and vegetables, 00:05:04.50\00:05:07.10 and the walking... 00:05:07.14\00:05:08.47 Yes. And the water. 00:05:08.50\00:05:09.84 Yes. It's all a combination. 00:05:09.87\00:05:11.77 And, Pat, by the way, it was three days for me too. 00:05:11.81\00:05:15.08 Wow. Yeah. 00:05:15.11\00:05:16.95 You were a good-sized boy too. 00:05:16.98\00:05:18.68 Yeah, I was a little larger than you. 00:05:18.71\00:05:20.22 Yeah. 00:05:20.25\00:05:21.58 But it was three days, 00:05:21.62\00:05:22.95 that seems to be a magic number. 00:05:22.98\00:05:24.35 Yeah. 00:05:24.39\00:05:25.72 So what else, 00:05:25.75\00:05:28.22 you were sharing before the program began 00:05:28.26\00:05:31.06 about something that you were saying that, 00:05:31.09\00:05:34.10 you weren't saying so clearly before. 00:05:34.13\00:05:36.97 Yeah, well, this is another huge benefit. 00:05:37.00\00:05:42.07 When I would do my Bible reading, 00:05:42.10\00:05:44.47 there was like some sort of a cloud 00:05:44.51\00:05:47.38 and I'd have to read two, three times 00:05:47.41\00:05:49.98 and I could finally get it, but with a lot of effort. 00:05:50.01\00:05:54.68 I was reading just a couple of days ago Ellen White, 00:05:54.72\00:05:57.75 one of her books. 00:05:57.79\00:05:59.12 And it was just like when I was first saved, 00:05:59.15\00:06:03.22 30 some years ago. 00:06:03.26\00:06:05.16 It was clear and anointed and that's a huge, 00:06:05.19\00:06:10.93 maybe the hugest benefit I've received. 00:06:10.97\00:06:13.13 Wow. Yep. 00:14:13.72\00:14:16.12 And I want to talk to you about Pat, 00:14:16.15\00:14:18.62 because Pat looks like a different guy to me, 00:14:18.65\00:14:23.29 a different individual. 00:14:23.32\00:14:25.26 He came here as... 00:14:25.29\00:14:26.76 He was kind of slow and, you know... 00:14:26.80\00:14:29.36 He was slow. Yeah. 00:14:29.40\00:14:31.23 Well, I guess. 00:14:31.27\00:14:32.60 And he admits during our interview just now 00:14:32.63\00:14:35.77 that it was like someone's lifted a fog... 00:14:35.80\00:14:39.17 Yeah. Or a whale. 00:14:39.21\00:14:41.61 And also taking the bag pack off 00:14:41.64\00:14:43.95 because he had a hard time 00:14:43.98\00:14:45.68 getting up from the clinic when we came here. 00:14:45.71\00:14:47.98 Yes, he could barely make it. Yeah. 00:14:48.02\00:14:50.19 Now what is this about the brain? 00:14:50.22\00:14:54.99 How is it... 00:14:55.02\00:14:56.36 'Cause I've had the same experience, 00:14:56.39\00:14:57.93 all of a sudden it's like, I can think again. 00:14:57.96\00:15:00.76 What happens? 00:15:00.80\00:15:02.76 Well, it's all in the matter of circulation. 00:15:02.80\00:15:05.50 Yes, prostaglandins. Yeah, there you go. 00:15:05.53\00:15:08.50 It's prostaglandins. I remembered. 00:15:08.54\00:15:09.87 Yeah, yeah. 00:15:09.90\00:15:11.24 Anyway, they dilate the tiny blood vessels. 00:15:11.27\00:15:13.64 And his heart was becoming stronger. 00:15:13.68\00:15:18.15 And when you saw him, at first, 00:15:18.18\00:15:21.58 if you looked at him, he didn't have ankles. 00:15:21.62\00:15:26.09 From his calf down, it was literally like this. 00:15:26.12\00:15:29.82 Especially, on his left leg, 00:15:29.86\00:15:31.19 he had bumped it and gotten a sore, 00:15:31.23\00:15:33.29 that's the worst place to get a sore. 00:15:33.33\00:15:34.80 He mentioned that. Right here in the front. 00:15:34.83\00:15:36.36 Yeah. 00:15:36.40\00:15:37.73 And the leg was red and it was discolored 00:15:37.77\00:15:40.80 and, you know, we had him pull up his pant legs 00:15:40.84\00:15:46.21 to show the person who was taking his vitals down there 00:15:46.24\00:15:50.15 and it was just incredible 00:15:50.18\00:15:52.31 that the right one looks almost normal 00:15:52.35\00:15:55.08 and the left one is, it's way on the way. 00:15:55.12\00:15:57.62 Why is that? 00:15:57.65\00:15:59.05 Because the heart, when it gets stronger, 00:15:59.09\00:16:02.79 it's able to pump the blood through the kidneys, 00:16:02.82\00:16:06.06 the backup and the water 00:16:06.09\00:16:08.30 and it's in the extremities, just able to pumped out. 00:16:08.33\00:16:12.17 And he lost over 20 pounds. 00:16:12.20\00:16:14.44 So... 00:16:14.47\00:16:15.80 Of water out of his legs. 00:16:15.84\00:16:17.17 What you're saying... 00:16:17.21\00:16:18.54 Yeah. 00:16:18.57\00:16:19.91 Is that the heart wasn't strong, 00:16:19.94\00:16:21.28 so the legs started to swell? Oh, yeah. 00:16:21.31\00:16:22.98 The pressure was backing up, you see, 00:16:23.01\00:16:26.28 because the heart wasn't able to pump 00:16:26.31\00:16:29.55 and then the kidneys, 00:16:29.58\00:16:31.25 if their filtration is way down, 00:16:31.29\00:16:34.79 then there is problems there. 00:16:34.82\00:16:37.19 And then they can't pump the water out, 00:16:37.23\00:16:39.79 because they don't have enough force 00:16:39.83\00:16:41.83 to have that water go through the kidneys. 00:16:41.86\00:16:44.03 It's really amazing the way the body's all tied together. 00:16:44.07\00:16:48.84 Listen, doctor in one on one, 00:16:48.87\00:16:50.77 that was a lot what you just said. 00:16:50.81\00:16:52.71 I know there's viewers out there 00:16:52.74\00:16:54.34 with swelling in their legs and ankles wondering, 00:16:54.38\00:16:57.81 "Well, it's just a little water retention." 00:16:57.85\00:17:00.05 Well, it's more than that, right? 00:17:00.08\00:17:02.12 Oh, yeah, because your heart isn't working well 00:17:02.15\00:17:04.55 and you notice more than a water retention, 00:17:04.59\00:17:07.16 you notice that you're just fatigued all the time 00:17:07.19\00:17:09.86 and you just can't move hardly. 00:17:09.89\00:17:11.66 So people should be coming to a LIFESTART Centre, 00:17:11.69\00:17:15.10 like new start and reversing these situations by... 00:17:15.13\00:17:20.40 Oh, yeah, get the heart stronger, 00:17:20.44\00:17:21.80 get the brain stronger, get the kidneys, 00:17:21.84\00:17:24.67 so they can filter better. 00:17:24.71\00:17:26.31 Yeah. 00:17:26.34\00:17:27.68 And this is what's happened with our friend Pat. 00:17:27.71\00:17:30.01 Yeah, we've had four now that have lost 30 pounds 00:17:30.05\00:17:33.68 in the first week when they came 00:17:33.72\00:17:37.05 because their heart was failing so bad, 00:17:37.09\00:17:40.09 and then we had one person that, 00:17:40.12\00:17:42.36 in the 18 days, lost 40 pounds. 00:17:42.39\00:17:46.19 Wow, was that David? 00:17:46.23\00:17:48.16 No, that was quite a long time ago. 00:17:48.20\00:17:49.96 Quite a long, okay. Yeah. 00:17:50.00\00:17:51.33 That's a lot of weight. 00:17:51.37\00:17:52.77 Yeah, well, the thing is just 00:17:52.80\00:17:54.70 that he is able to walk two miles now. 00:17:54.74\00:17:57.64 And before, he'd struggled to get up. 00:17:57.67\00:18:00.48 The other thing is... 00:18:00.51\00:18:03.01 He may not have said all this 00:18:03.04\00:18:04.95 but he's worried because of his diet here, 00:18:04.98\00:18:08.98 it's almost always that, 00:18:09.02\00:18:10.72 he developed cancer of the colon 00:18:10.75\00:18:12.35 and that's where it's come about recently again. 00:18:12.39\00:18:16.22 I came out with this saying, 00:18:16.26\00:18:17.89 "Beef does make an increased risk in cancer of the colon." 00:18:17.93\00:18:22.06 And they "No, no, no, that can't be right." 00:18:22.10\00:18:26.03 We've known that for 50 years or more. 00:18:26.07\00:18:29.20 And so he's got, there were some spots on the liver, 00:18:29.24\00:18:32.74 and so he's worried about that 00:18:32.77\00:18:35.24 and then we found out that his kidneys were failing 00:18:35.28\00:18:38.81 and he didn't even know about that 00:18:38.85\00:18:40.78 and stuff like that, so he's cautiously optimistic. 00:18:40.82\00:18:46.15 But that's why he has to keep in touch with us, 00:18:46.19\00:18:49.52 that he's got to fill that eight-week calendar out, 00:18:49.56\00:18:52.46 and he's off of all of his insulin. 00:18:52.49\00:18:54.66 Wow. 00:18:54.70\00:18:56.03 You see, he came in with, 00:18:56.06\00:18:57.67 you know, his cholesterol wasn't too bad, 00:18:57.70\00:19:00.10 so why are his arteries plugged up, 00:19:00.14\00:19:02.40 his HDL, it takes the placoid out of your arteries 00:19:02.44\00:19:05.71 and dumps it out. 00:19:05.74\00:19:07.21 His was so low, that he wasn't able to do the job. 00:19:07.24\00:19:10.28 Oh. 00:19:10.31\00:19:11.65 And, yeah, so he's got all these things 00:19:11.68\00:19:13.75 working against him, 00:19:13.78\00:19:15.38 and now he has these things working for him, 00:19:15.42\00:19:17.72 it's very likely that they're going to see 00:19:17.75\00:19:22.26 what his liver does before they do anything else. 00:19:22.29\00:19:24.76 In fact, I didn't even realize it 00:19:24.79\00:19:27.00 until we were putting the leads on for his treadmill, 00:19:27.03\00:19:30.57 he's had open heart surgery, 00:19:30.60\00:19:32.80 and then eight months ago, 00:19:32.83\00:19:34.90 he had to have a stent placed 00:19:34.94\00:19:36.50 because they were plugged up 00:19:36.54\00:19:38.27 and it just goes on and on and on and on. 00:19:38.31\00:19:41.31 He's not a million dollar man, 00:19:41.34\00:19:43.31 he's probably a half million dollar man 00:19:43.35\00:19:45.65 with all the stuff that they've done for him. 00:19:45.68\00:19:47.48 Wow. 00:19:47.52\00:19:48.85 Very dear man, his family loves him 00:19:48.88\00:19:50.72 and they want him to keep going, 00:19:50.75\00:19:52.72 they've got to help him out. 00:19:52.75\00:19:54.09 He feels very encouraged. 00:19:54.12\00:19:56.06 He should be. 00:19:56.09\00:19:57.43 Yeah, he's just done wonders since he's been here. 00:19:57.46\00:20:00.73 And so we have a program that we'll follow up on. 00:20:00.76\00:20:04.17 As you know, I call and contact guests 00:20:04.20\00:20:07.17 and many of them don't want to be bothered of course, 00:20:07.20\00:20:11.67 but most love to be in contact with us and... 00:20:11.71\00:20:14.71 Yeah. 00:20:14.74\00:20:16.08 Especially, with our doctors 00:20:16.11\00:20:17.45 and I know they love talking to you. 00:20:17.48\00:20:19.21 So all these good numbers are fantastic. 00:20:19.25\00:20:24.35 What do we do to see that he continues? 00:20:24.39\00:20:31.09 Well, that's your department. 00:20:31.13\00:20:32.79 My department too, you know, and I'm calling people up, 00:20:32.83\00:20:37.67 you know, one of the guys that was just, 00:20:37.70\00:20:39.70 he and another one and you know both of them, 00:20:39.73\00:20:43.27 were supposed to get their shunt in their arm. 00:20:43.30\00:20:46.04 You know, when I called up and I said, 00:20:46.07\00:20:48.54 "Well, is this so and so?" 00:20:48.58\00:20:49.91 And he said, "No, it's his son." 00:20:49.94\00:20:51.61 And I said, "Well, how is he doing?" 00:20:51.65\00:20:53.01 He said, "He seems to be doing all right." 00:20:53.05\00:20:54.88 "Well, I want to know more. How is he?" 00:20:54.92\00:20:57.02 Well, he said, "He's gone over to Africa." 00:20:57.05\00:21:00.22 "How do you go over to Africa and stay in the program?" 00:21:00.26\00:21:03.89 He says, "Well," he said that 00:21:03.93\00:21:05.49 they just eat beans and corn over there, 00:21:05.53\00:21:07.46 so he should do all right. 00:21:07.50\00:21:09.63 But, yeah, we've got to follow up with these people, 00:21:09.66\00:21:11.83 especially the ones that are ready for dialysis, 00:21:11.87\00:21:14.64 they've been on insulin 00:21:14.67\00:21:16.27 and he was on a large, 00:21:16.30\00:21:18.44 he was on 50 units of the long acting insulin in the morning 00:21:18.47\00:21:23.21 and 30 in the evening 00:21:23.24\00:21:26.01 and then he was topping it up with the fast acting stuff, 00:21:26.05\00:21:29.05 and it's really, it's really something 00:21:29.08\00:21:31.75 because his fasting blood sugar 00:21:31.79\00:21:34.86 is better than it was 00:21:34.89\00:21:37.19 when he was on all that medication. 00:21:37.23\00:21:39.09 Oh, praise God. 00:21:39.13\00:21:40.66 And besides, he's at times when his, 00:21:40.70\00:21:43.60 you know, we'd like to see that the hemoglobin A1c, 00:21:43.63\00:21:48.24 the diabetics utter, you know what that is. 00:21:48.27\00:21:50.51 We like to see it normal, below 6 anyway. 00:21:50.54\00:21:54.34 And his was going up to 10, 11 and 12 which is, you know, 00:21:54.38\00:21:59.11 that's the reason why he was so sick. 00:21:59.15\00:22:00.92 That's the reason why it's hard... 00:22:00.95\00:22:02.28 He is a good reason why we need to start at a young age 00:22:02.32\00:22:05.69 and get healthy. 00:22:05.72\00:22:08.02 Dr. Lukens, thank you for coming and joining us... 00:22:08.06\00:22:10.63 Thank you for letting us tell about these good cases. 00:22:10.66\00:22:13.60 Amen. 00:22:13.63\00:22:14.96 I want everybody to follow until they do good. 00:22:15.00\00:22:17.03 Oh, absolutely. 00:22:17.07\00:22:18.63 And thank you, friends. 00:22:18.67\00:22:20.00 Don't go away, we have an important message for you. 00:22:20.04\00:22:24.77 Welcome, friends, in our NEWSTART kitchen. 00:22:24.81\00:22:26.91 My name is Radek and I'm going to show you 00:22:26.94\00:22:29.04 how to make a carrot loaf. 00:22:29.08\00:22:33.72 The first thing that we need is to have a nice bowl 00:22:33.75\00:22:37.82 that we can mix all the ingredients in 00:22:37.85\00:22:39.65 and a spatula, and then of course, a pan, 00:22:39.69\00:22:42.62 where we are going to bake the loaf. 00:22:42.66\00:22:45.26 The ingredients that you need for the loaf is peanut butter, 00:22:45.29\00:22:50.37 tomato paste or tomato puree, 00:22:50.40\00:22:55.30 onion powder, garlic powder, 00:22:55.34\00:22:58.57 salt, basil, 00:22:58.61\00:23:01.81 shredded or grated carrots 00:23:01.84\00:23:04.41 and bread crumbs. 00:23:04.45\00:23:05.98 To make it nice and moist, you will need some water. 00:23:06.01\00:23:09.65 Well, let's start. 00:23:09.68\00:23:11.02 The first thing, the first step that you have to do 00:23:11.05\00:23:13.25 is to cream the first six ingredients 00:23:13.29\00:23:17.33 that I mentioned in a bowl. 00:23:17.36\00:23:20.93 And that's again, peanut butter, 00:23:20.96\00:23:23.37 tomato puree, 00:23:29.74\00:23:31.14 onion powder, 00:23:34.48\00:23:37.05 garlic powder, 00:23:37.08\00:23:40.58 salt 00:23:40.62\00:23:43.69 and the basil. 00:23:43.72\00:23:45.42 The peanut butter that I suggest 00:23:49.92\00:23:53.26 should be the one that is nice and creamy 00:23:53.29\00:23:56.10 and preferably unsweetened. 00:23:56.13\00:24:00.64 You'd be surprised how much sugar 00:24:00.67\00:24:03.07 is in the sweetened peanut butter. 00:24:03.10\00:24:06.01 All right. 00:24:09.41\00:24:11.65 Now when it's creamed 00:24:11.68\00:24:15.65 and stirred nicely together, 00:24:15.68\00:24:20.46 you can add the remaining ingredients slowly, 00:24:20.49\00:24:23.22 now add the carrots, 00:24:23.26\00:24:27.10 the bread crumbs 00:24:27.13\00:24:30.27 and the water. 00:24:30.30\00:24:31.63 Now we'll stir everything together. 00:24:39.41\00:24:42.41 If the mixture is too dry, 00:24:42.44\00:24:44.38 you can always add more water to it, 00:24:48.12\00:24:51.65 'cause sometimes the bread crumbs might be 00:24:54.76\00:24:57.19 like really dry. 00:24:57.23\00:24:58.66 So then you need to add more water. 00:24:58.69\00:25:02.93 This one kind of looks good. 00:25:02.96\00:25:04.53 All right. 00:25:13.71\00:25:15.04 And now we use oil pan. 00:25:18.21\00:25:21.42 Now put the mixture in the pan. 00:25:24.59\00:25:27.59 It kind of looks a little bit crumbly 00:25:30.86\00:25:32.63 but don't worry about it. 00:25:32.66\00:25:34.00 When you bake it, it will become nice and firm. 00:25:34.03\00:25:36.56 All right. 00:25:45.57\00:25:47.11 You can use the spoon 00:25:47.14\00:25:49.34 that we were mixing the mixture with, 00:25:49.38\00:25:53.78 to press it down nicely, 00:25:53.82\00:25:57.75 especially do the edges, 00:25:57.79\00:26:00.62 so they will not burn 00:26:00.66\00:26:03.73 and we will make a nice loaf in the pan. 00:26:03.76\00:26:08.03 And then, 00:26:13.20\00:26:14.54 we'll put it in the oven and we bake it. 00:26:14.57\00:26:17.64 The temperature's set on 350 degrees of fahrenheit, 00:26:17.67\00:26:21.94 and we bake it for approximately 45 minutes. 00:26:21.98\00:26:25.25 And then after 45 minutes, when the loaf is nicely baked, 00:26:29.28\00:26:34.49 this is the result that you get. 00:26:34.52\00:26:37.23 You can serve it with your mashed potatoes 00:26:40.23\00:26:44.70 or baked potatoes. 00:26:44.73\00:26:47.00 You can add ketchup to it. 00:26:47.04\00:26:49.40 And of course, we should never forget 00:26:49.44\00:26:50.97 some nice and fresh looking vegetables. 00:26:51.01\00:26:53.98 And you can see how nice and firm it is. 00:26:54.01\00:26:57.11 It doesn't look so crumbly like 00:26:57.15\00:26:59.61 it was before we put it in the oven. 00:26:59.65\00:27:01.82 And it's something that you will enjoy. 00:27:01.85\00:27:06.45 And something that will actually 00:27:06.49\00:27:08.99 again bring us some healthy vegetables in your diet, 00:27:09.02\00:27:12.99 like the carrots do. 00:27:13.03\00:27:15.83 Friends, thank you for watching us 00:27:15.86\00:27:18.40 and enjoy this nice looking loaf. 00:27:18.43\00:27:22.24
