Incredible. 00:11:49.13\00:11:50.14 You've been his doctor for the last two sessions? 00:11:50.15\00:11:52.99 That's right, we worked together for two programs, 00:11:53.00\00:11:55.02 the programs here are 18 days each of course, 00:11:55.03\00:11:57.40 and he just made incredible progress, really amazing. 00:11:57.41\00:12:01.17 Not that it was totally unexpected, 00:12:01.18\00:12:03.68 but you never know, how someone is going to respond 00:12:03.69\00:12:06.21 to the program and Max, did really very, very well. 00:12:06.22\00:12:08.87 I know, he is quiet pleased with his weight loss 00:12:08.88\00:12:11.80 and in fact that his neuropathy 00:12:11.81\00:12:14.09 has subsided to some degree, 00:12:14.10\00:12:17.02 getting color back in his legs, he is able to walk. 00:12:17.03\00:12:20.59 Doctor, why is this? 00:12:20.60\00:12:22.47 Why do people need to come here, 00:12:22.48\00:12:24.90 can't they do this at home? 00:12:24.91\00:12:26.25 You know, the amazing thing Ron, 00:12:26.26\00:12:27.91 having worked as an out-patient physician 00:12:27.92\00:12:30.65 in the past and having worked 00:12:30.66\00:12:32.12 in residential settings like here at Weimer. 00:12:32.13\00:12:34.59 It's very interesting what happens. 00:12:34.60\00:12:37.01 In the typical out-patient setting, 00:12:37.02\00:12:39.83 even when you've got a good doctor, 00:12:39.84\00:12:41.43 even you've got dieticians working with you, 00:12:41.44\00:12:43.47 even if you got a good exercise coach, 00:12:43.48\00:12:45.93 a lot of times what happens is people learn 00:12:45.94\00:12:49.06 about enough things to do, 00:12:49.07\00:12:51.58 that make their life somewhat uncomfortable, 00:12:51.59\00:12:55.91 kind of moving in the right direction, 00:12:55.92\00:12:58.29 but they don't make changes 00:12:58.30\00:12:59.47 that are big enough to really see some dramatic impacts. 00:12:59.48\00:13:02.40 It really often for people like, you know, Max, 00:13:02.41\00:13:06.17 that we've been talking about him, 00:13:06.18\00:13:07.61 you know, hearing his story. 00:13:07.62\00:13:09.90 He came to a setting where he said, 00:13:09.91\00:13:11.56 look at I'm going to come in a place 00:13:11.57\00:13:13.46 where I'm gonna just change everything at once 00:13:13.47\00:13:15.65 and that's why you often see the most powerful changes. 00:13:15.66\00:13:18.36 Is that because I've been told, 00:13:18.37\00:13:21.25 when I came through the program. 00:13:21.26\00:13:23.04 It takes, you know, like 21 days 00:13:23.05\00:13:25.00 to create a new habit, 00:13:25.01\00:13:26.50 is that kind of lent to this progress? 00:13:26.51\00:13:29.69 Well, I think part of what's going on, 00:13:29.70\00:13:31.23 it's not just developing new habits 00:13:31.24\00:13:33.21 because when we're running a residential program, 00:13:33.22\00:13:36.46 we can change someone's diet from day one. All right! 00:13:36.47\00:13:39.36 When Max arrives, 00:13:39.37\00:13:40.48 we don't have to teach him how to cook better. 00:13:40.49\00:13:42.89 He doesn't have to go to cooking classes 00:13:42.90\00:13:44.55 and dietician's sessions. 00:13:44.56\00:13:46.11 Yeah, we have those things while he is here. 00:13:46.12\00:13:48.77 But the beauty of the residential program 00:13:48.78\00:13:51.06 is you don't have to wait 00:13:51.07\00:13:52.55 until you got the whole program figured out, 00:13:52.56\00:13:54.92 before you start getting benefits from it. 00:13:54.93\00:13:57.17 By the time you get it figured out 00:13:57.18\00:13:58.73 the two weeks or so is up. 00:13:58.74\00:14:00.26 That's exactly right, so it's not that way here. 00:14:00.27\00:14:02.26 From day one, he is getting that high quality food, 00:14:02.27\00:14:05.73 that we've actually demonstrate it 00:14:05.74\00:14:07.51 in number of settings, really can make a huge difference 00:14:07.52\00:14:10.17 in improving blood sugar, 00:14:10.18\00:14:11.67 lowering things like cholesterol, 00:14:11.68\00:14:13.46 improving blood pressure, improving neuropathy 00:14:13.47\00:14:16.08 which is a huge thing. 00:14:16.09\00:14:17.47 It's not just the diet, it's a whole program. 00:14:17.48\00:14:19.68 The hydrotherapy, the exercise, 00:14:19.69\00:14:22.55 the spiritual dimension which is huge here, 00:14:22.56\00:14:24.91 whether or not, a person decides 00:14:24.92\00:14:26.80 to take advantage of that fully, 00:14:26.81\00:14:28.68 that really is a team here 00:14:28.69\00:14:29.75 that's praying for the patients 00:14:29.76\00:14:31.40 and offering them spiritual help and encouragement. 00:14:31.41\00:14:34.95 What about the folks that are watching us now 00:14:34.96\00:14:38.27 like myself by the way. 00:14:38.28\00:14:40.29 I was afraid of doctors, 00:14:40.30\00:14:41.87 I didn't want to go to doctor, 00:14:41.88\00:14:43.19 because they always wanted to do these things to me. 00:14:43.20\00:14:46.65 What do we do with guests when they arrive here? 00:14:46.66\00:14:49.73 Do we do any invasive type of looking around. 00:14:49.74\00:14:56.21 Well, the way I like to look it Ron 00:14:56.22\00:14:58.06 and sometimes I tell my patients this. 00:14:58.07\00:15:00.33 I say this may come as a surprise to you, 00:15:00.34\00:15:03.47 but I look at myself as the consultant 00:15:03.48\00:15:06.22 and you as the expert. 00:15:06.23\00:15:08.22 And a lot of people say, well, you know, 00:15:08.23\00:15:10.07 what do you mean, I mean you are supposed 00:15:10.08\00:15:11.38 to be the expert, I mean you got the, 00:15:11.39\00:15:12.95 you know boys in internal medicine 00:15:12.96\00:15:15.02 and preventive medicine, you've done. 00:15:15.03\00:15:16.81 No, no, no, what I'm saying is look at, if Ron, 00:15:16.82\00:15:19.68 for example, you are my patient, 00:15:19.69\00:15:21.79 I'm telling you look Ron, 00:15:21.80\00:15:24.07 I might have had all this experiences, 00:15:24.08\00:15:25.86 I might know all the stuff in the books, 00:15:25.87\00:15:27.33 but you are unique, 00:15:27.34\00:15:28.76 you have lived with yourselves 00:15:28.77\00:15:29.97 for a long time, right. Right. 00:15:29.98\00:15:32.22 Yeah, and so you know your body, 00:15:32.23\00:15:34.15 you've insight into things. 00:15:34.16\00:15:35.80 My job is to be a teacher and encourager 00:15:35.81\00:15:39.17 to share things with you, but you've got to tell me, 00:15:39.18\00:15:42.51 whether these things are gonna work for you. 00:15:42.52\00:15:44.16 If you are uncomfortable doing a stress test. 00:15:44.17\00:15:46.73 We routinely offer all our patients an exercise test 00:15:46.74\00:15:50.51 where we've the manual treadmill, 00:15:50.52\00:15:51.85 assessing their fitness, 00:15:51.86\00:15:53.20 seeing if they have any heart problems. 00:15:53.21\00:15:54.90 I had a women not longer was very vary about that, 00:15:54.91\00:15:58.30 I said look, you are in charge. 00:15:58.31\00:15:59.86 I mean, if you are on that stress test, 00:15:59.87\00:16:01.41 it feels uncomfortable we will stop it. Yeah. 00:16:01.42\00:16:03.50 So, really, here at Weimer, 00:16:03.51\00:16:05.78 we're actually, its not where the physicians 00:16:05.79\00:16:08.30 and the staff are putting him into a box 00:16:08.31\00:16:11.33 and poking you and prodding you 00:16:11.34\00:16:12.84 and we're gonna this to you and do that to you. 00:16:12.85\00:16:15.11 You're really in charge of your program. 00:16:15.12\00:16:17.25 You've chosen to come here, we're your allies, 00:16:17.26\00:16:19.89 we're your partners, we're your helpers 00:16:19.90\00:16:21.94 and really trying to encourage you, 00:16:21.95\00:16:23.30 give you the information you need. 00:16:23.31\00:16:24.85 Sure, if there is diagnostic things that need to be done 00:16:24.86\00:16:27.98 and you are interested in having those done. 00:16:27.99\00:16:30.15 We can do those for you here. 00:16:30.16\00:16:31.84 I mean within certain rounds, 00:16:31.85\00:16:32.83 this is not a hi-tech, diagnostic centers with, 00:16:32.84\00:16:36.06 you know, where we're trying to get everyone 00:16:36.07\00:16:37.31 in x-ray machines, so they can pay for it, 00:16:37.32\00:16:39.27 or we don't have any x-ray machines here. 00:16:39.28\00:16:41.45 All right! Yeah! 00:16:41.46\00:16:42.43 Now, tell me again doctor, 00:16:42.44\00:16:44.71 and I have asked you this question before, 00:16:44.72\00:16:46.29 but it just seems to amaze me each session. 00:16:46.30\00:16:50.36 We see 20, 30 people at a time going through 00:16:50.37\00:16:53.75 this program that inevitably get well. 00:16:53.76\00:16:57.20 How is this possible? 00:16:57.21\00:16:58.89 What is it that we do, can we talk about that? 00:16:58.90\00:17:01.10 Sure, the way I look at it Ron, 00:17:01.11\00:17:03.15 is when I pick up my Bible, and I open it up, 00:17:03.16\00:17:06.77 I see that there is a God, 00:17:06.78\00:17:08.36 who's just incredibly interested in helping people. 00:17:08.37\00:17:12.24 From the very beginning, 00:17:12.25\00:17:13.57 He gave an environment on this earth 00:17:13.58\00:17:15.50 that was optimally designed for our health. 00:17:15.51\00:17:17.82 And somehow in our crazy society, 00:17:17.83\00:17:20.85 we've somehow begun to think that things 00:17:20.86\00:17:24.04 that God never intended us to do 00:17:24.05\00:17:26.42 are somehow pleasurable. 00:17:26.43\00:17:28.10 They are somehow give enjoyment to life. 00:17:28.11\00:17:29.99 They are somehow better for us than the way of life 00:17:30.00\00:17:32.45 that God has spelled out. 00:17:32.46\00:17:33.65 We're just here 00:17:33.66\00:17:34.93 trying to help people reconnect with the wisdom 00:17:34.94\00:17:37.67 that's in Gods inspired book, the Bible. 00:17:37.68\00:17:39.99 Whether someone believes in the Bible or not, 00:17:40.00\00:17:41.67 it's compelling. 00:17:41.68\00:17:42.83 When they come here and they start to see 00:17:42.84\00:17:44.83 the medical research data, 00:17:44.84\00:17:46.04 our program is research driven. 00:17:46.05\00:17:47.88 We share with him study after study 00:17:47.89\00:17:49.76 about why we do the things we do, 00:17:49.77\00:17:51.57 but it all underscores this very same program 00:17:51.58\00:17:54.53 God had for his people in the beginning. 00:17:54.54\00:17:55.78 So, you can say this program is 6000 years old. 00:17:55.79\00:17:58.69 Exactly! All right! Yeah! 00:17:58.70\00:18:00.53 That's a pretty old program. 00:18:00.54\00:18:01.51 And it's tumbling for us as physicians, 00:18:01.52\00:18:03.41 because, you know, I can't walk out here and say, 00:18:03.42\00:18:05.39 hey! Ron, look what I did, you know, 00:18:05.40\00:18:07.08 I got it all figured out. 00:18:07.09\00:18:08.45 We're really just saying look at these simple things 00:18:08.46\00:18:11.88 that the medical community is finally catching up 00:18:11.89\00:18:14.16 with are the very same things that God 00:18:14.17\00:18:16.10 in the beginning or day in that we should be doing. 00:18:16.11\00:18:18.94 Yes! Simple diet, exercise, 00:18:18.95\00:18:21.41 trust in divine power, water therapy, 00:18:21.42\00:18:23.62 it's the whole NEWSTART program. 00:18:23.63\00:18:25.68 And that's why they call this a lifestyle program 00:18:25.69\00:18:28.74 and what we, isn't a diet, 00:18:28.75\00:18:31.31 but part of that lifestyles, is that correct? 00:18:31.32\00:18:33.62 That's exactly right, 00:18:33.63\00:18:34.78 we're looking at helping people develop 00:18:34.79\00:18:36.91 a new lifestyle that they enjoy 00:18:36.92\00:18:38.97 and can live with for rest of their life. 00:18:38.98\00:18:40.90 And Max has done so well, I didn't ask Max, 00:18:40.91\00:18:46.35 maybe you know the answer to this, 00:18:46.36\00:18:47.89 or you recall 00:18:47.90\00:18:49.16 the medications that he was taking, 00:18:49.17\00:18:51.72 had he been taken off of any medication. 00:18:51.73\00:18:54.24 And second question, it's a two part question. 00:18:54.25\00:18:58.07 Who decides when and how much 00:18:58.08\00:18:59.83 to take these medications? 00:18:59.84\00:19:01.26 Yeah, I think probably for most people, 00:19:01.27\00:19:02.60 the most remarkable thing Max shared 00:19:02.61\00:19:04.50 and that was that he came here 00:19:04.51\00:19:05.71 on over a 100 units of insulin a day 00:19:05.72\00:19:08.35 and by the time he left 00:19:08.36\00:19:09.44 he was just taking like 8 or 10 units. Correct. 00:19:09.45\00:19:11.91 Which is really incredible, 00:19:11.92\00:19:13.02 because the normal history with diabetes is people 00:19:13.03\00:19:16.42 get put on more and more medication. 00:19:16.43\00:19:18.53 Why is that? 00:19:18.54\00:19:19.51 Well, the irony is this Ron, 00:19:19.52\00:19:21.67 the major cause of diabetes in America today 00:19:21.68\00:19:24.21 is what we call Type 2 diabetes, 00:19:24.22\00:19:26.28 is caused by insulin resistance. 00:19:26.29\00:19:28.23 In other words insulin not working 00:19:28.24\00:19:29.90 as it should in our bodies. 00:19:29.91\00:19:31.80 One of the things that drives 00:19:31.81\00:19:33.00 insulin resistance is waking. 00:19:33.01\00:19:35.20 If we don't change lifestyle 00:19:35.21\00:19:37.35 and we just start giving drugs and especially insulin, 00:19:37.36\00:19:41.29 they lower blood sugar, insulin does, 00:19:41.30\00:19:43.77 but it causes you to gain more weight. 00:19:43.78\00:19:45.78 Okay. Oh, it's just contributing 00:19:45.79\00:19:47.47 to this vicious cycle. 00:19:47.48\00:19:48.71 What we do with lifestyle as we get a person 00:19:48.72\00:19:51.49 on the program that decreases 00:19:51.50\00:19:53.20 that insulin resistance, 00:19:53.21\00:19:54.50 decreases the need for insulin, 00:19:54.51\00:19:56.31 helps them to loose the weight 00:19:56.32\00:19:58.17 and really reverses the diabetic process. 00:19:58.18\00:20:01.03 Well, how long would it take, 00:20:01.04\00:20:02.95 say at this point Max is down to, 00:20:02.96\00:20:06.37 I think the number was eight. 00:20:06.38\00:20:08.37 How much further does he have to go 00:20:08.38\00:20:10.40 doing this particular lifestyle 00:20:10.41\00:20:12.33 until he is completely off? 00:20:12.34\00:20:14.18 It does vary from person to person, 00:20:14.19\00:20:16.02 I mean we can always make an educated guess. 00:20:16.03\00:20:19.04 It's just based on how well they do with the exercise, 00:20:19.05\00:20:22.77 how well they stick with the diet 00:20:22.78\00:20:24.22 and how quickly the weight comes off. 00:20:24.23\00:20:26.66 Typically if a person has dropped that much of insulin, 00:20:26.67\00:20:29.88 it's a relatively short time for him if they stick 00:20:29.89\00:20:32.28 with the program we're talking, 00:20:32.29\00:20:33.67 you know weeks rather than many months. 00:20:33.68\00:20:36.19 Now, I've seen people who come here 00:20:36.20\00:20:38.97 that are on insulin, 00:20:38.98\00:20:41.41 they are off insulin within 18 days, 00:20:41.42\00:20:44.14 is this common? 00:20:44.15\00:20:45.15 Yes, actually very common. 00:20:45.16\00:20:46.84 We did a study, when I was working 00:20:46.85\00:20:48.22 with another lifestyle program 00:20:48.23\00:20:49.77 and we found something like two-thirds 00:20:49.78\00:20:51.24 of our patients could get off their insulin totally. 00:20:51.25\00:20:53.71 They are typically, there are people 00:20:53.72\00:20:55.30 that are on less than a 100 units a day. 00:20:55.31\00:20:57.17 Aha! Well, I'm sure that there are viewers 00:20:57.18\00:21:00.89 who want to know that, 00:21:00.90\00:21:01.87 because there are people who are deciding 00:21:01.88\00:21:04.08 whether they should come or not or maybe 00:21:04.09\00:21:06.28 they are too far along. 00:21:06.29\00:21:08.81 Any last comment, we've just got a few seconds left. 00:21:08.82\00:21:10.70 Yes! Nobody is too far along. 00:21:10.71\00:21:12.28 We can help anybody and I would just encourage 00:21:12.29\00:21:16.22 as many peoples as possible, take advantage 00:21:16.23\00:21:18.08 if they got resources at home go for it, 00:21:18.09\00:21:20.04 if not let us help you here at Weimer. 00:21:20.05\00:21:22.16 Doctor, thank you for joining us, 00:21:22.17\00:21:23.85 it's always a pleasure. 00:21:23.86\00:21:25.62 And thank you, folks but don't go away, 00:21:25.63\00:21:27.33 we've an important message for you right after this. 00:21:27.34\00:21:30.19 Welcome to NEWSTART Now. My name is Cathy. 00:21:45.39\00:21:47.51 With us today we have Dr. Eddie Ramirez. 00:21:47.52\00:21:50.04 Hi, thank you for inviting me here. 00:21:50.05\00:21:51.93 I'm glad that you are here. 00:21:51.94\00:21:53.02 Today we're gonna talk about, 00:21:53.03\00:21:54.06 let's see if I can say this right, endothelium. 00:21:54.07\00:21:56.83 That's right! Oh! Good, okay, 00:21:56.84\00:21:58.47 share with us what this is? 00:21:58.48\00:21:59.82 Well, it's so important this topic, 00:21:59.83\00:22:02.41 because when we analyze, the causes of death 00:22:02.42\00:22:06.90 in most of the industrialized countries 00:22:06.91\00:22:09.76 and its spreading into the developing countries, 00:22:09.77\00:22:12.70 this is one of the major culprits of those deaths. 00:22:12.71\00:22:16.76 You worked too, you can go on 00:22:16.77\00:22:18.27 and check in their office where they register 00:22:18.28\00:22:21.85 all these deaths, 00:22:21.86\00:22:23.14 you will see over and over and over 00:22:23.15\00:22:26.26 that this is a problem. 00:22:26.27\00:22:28.02 Why is this a problem? 00:22:28.03\00:22:29.66 Well, this is a problem in our industrialized countries 00:22:29.67\00:22:34.63 because the arteries especially the ones 00:22:34.64\00:22:39.04 that are good and are the ones nourishing 00:22:39.05\00:22:41.97 the heart starts, they start to block up, 00:22:41.98\00:22:45.05 they start to close. Okay. 00:22:45.06\00:22:46.82 And that is not good, 00:22:46.83\00:22:48.48 you know, perfect health depends 00:22:48.49\00:22:51.54 upon perfect circulation, you know, 00:22:51.55\00:22:53.51 this is a saying that you should write in a little card 00:22:53.52\00:22:55.75 and repeat it over and over. 00:22:55.76\00:22:57.48 Yeah! And because this happens 00:22:57.49\00:23:02.66 to your arteries they start to close 00:23:02.67\00:23:05.12 and to close and to close and to close. 00:23:05.13\00:23:08.06 The problem with this is that many times 00:23:08.07\00:23:11.39 the person is not aware that this is happening to them. 00:23:11.40\00:23:14.78 Okay. In our practice how many times, 00:23:14.79\00:23:19.67 over and over we tell our patient, 00:23:19.68\00:23:22.40 okay, you need to this and this and this and this, 00:23:22.41\00:23:24.95 you need to make this change. 00:23:24.96\00:23:26.50 And they say no, I don't want to because 00:23:26.51\00:23:28.78 I feel great doctor, you know, why, 00:23:28.79\00:23:30.69 why should I change you know? 00:23:30.70\00:23:33.00 But they don't realize that 00:23:33.01\00:23:35.54 as these arteries are closing, 00:23:35.55\00:23:39.28 not until they have closed to a 70 % closure 00:23:39.29\00:23:43.91 of those arteries 00:23:43.92\00:23:45.69 that's when the symptoms start to occur. 00:23:45.70\00:23:48.14 About 70 %. That's right, 00:23:48.15\00:23:49.93 so you can be running quiet efficiently at 60 percent. 00:23:49.94\00:23:54.97 There is still a lack of oxygen there, 00:23:54.98\00:23:57.96 it's gonna represent in different ways. 00:23:57.97\00:24:00.33 For example, your blood pressure may go up, why? 00:24:00.34\00:24:03.74 Because, oxygen is not able to get there, 00:24:03.75\00:24:06.79 so the heart says less pump, more blood somehow, 00:24:06.80\00:24:10.40 so that we can send more oxygen there. 00:24:10.41\00:24:13.19 And then symptoms start to appear. 00:24:13.20\00:24:16.18 The person starts walking in the little hill 00:24:16.19\00:24:19.29 and then suddenly, he feels a little pain in his heart. 00:24:19.30\00:24:21.88 That doesn't mean it's a heart attack, 00:24:21.89\00:24:23.80 but that means that the heart is crying, 00:24:23.81\00:24:27.24 saying I need more oxygen, that's what that pain 00:24:27.25\00:24:30.55 in the heart means you know. 00:24:30.56\00:24:32.44 The person rests and then the heart calms down, 00:24:32.45\00:24:37.04 because then it doesn't need 00:24:37.05\00:24:38.81 as much oxygen as it was exercising. Okay. 00:24:38.82\00:24:42.77 Also not only the heart suffers, 00:24:42.81\00:24:46.34 all the internal organs in the body start to suffer 00:24:46.35\00:24:50.16 and organ very important organ of us, 00:24:50.17\00:24:54.20 the kidneys they need a lot of blood, the legs, 00:24:54.21\00:24:58.44 the person starts to complain, 00:24:58.45\00:25:00.63 oh, when I go for a walk, I feel this pain in my legs, 00:25:00.64\00:25:06.93 you know I didn't use to have these things. 00:25:06.94\00:25:08.58 So those small symptoms start to appear 00:25:08.59\00:25:11.94 depending on where we're closing those arteries. 00:25:11.95\00:25:15.69 So, there will be pain on the arm too, 00:25:15.70\00:25:17.22 or just the legs, or where is it. 00:25:17.23\00:25:19.23 It can be where ever the big blockages 00:25:19.24\00:25:22.99 are starting to happen. I see, okay. 00:25:23.00\00:25:25.28 The problem is that if you've a pain in your arm, 00:25:25.29\00:25:28.33 it's is not as important as when you have the pain 00:25:28.34\00:25:31.47 in your heart, you know. 00:25:31.48\00:25:32.69 Then we're talking about serious issues there, 00:25:32.70\00:25:36.03 because somehow we need to create 00:25:36.04\00:25:38.83 a better circulation there 00:25:38.84\00:25:40.14 and that's where this NEWSTART program enters. 00:25:40.15\00:25:42.65 Sure, sure. A person that comes to this program 00:25:42.66\00:25:46.09 learns the principles and continues to apply 00:25:46.10\00:25:49.40 this principles will find out how many times 00:25:49.41\00:25:54.58 the body is able to start opening up those arteries. 00:25:54.59\00:25:59.31 One thing that we need to watch out, 00:25:59.32\00:26:01.79 it's going to be cholesterol 00:26:01.80\00:26:04.02 and actually all animal products. 00:26:04.03\00:26:06.43 Specially, the cholesterol 00:26:06.44\00:26:08.48 in which there has been oxidation, 00:26:08.49\00:26:10.93 in which the product was exposed to air, 00:26:10.94\00:26:14.16 such as pizza for example, when you are shredding 00:26:14.17\00:26:16.60 and there's a lot of air there, you know. 00:26:16.61\00:26:19.42 So that oxidized cholesterol goes and damages 00:26:19.43\00:26:23.36 that artery and the body in order to help you, 00:26:23.37\00:26:27.59 it's eats that bad cholesterol 00:26:27.60\00:26:29.63 and it accumulates that and that is where 00:26:29.64\00:26:31.37 it's starting to close and close those arteries. 00:26:31.38\00:26:34.40 So watch out what you eat and make wise choices. 00:26:34.41\00:26:38.80 Amen, yes that's it for sure. 00:26:38.81\00:26:41.21 For those who want information about this, 00:26:41.22\00:26:42.60 you can visit our website at newstart.com. 00:26:42.61\00:26:44.97 Come and join us here. 00:26:44.98\00:26:46.26 Thank you, for being with us today and God bless. 00:26:46.27\00:26:48.66 Modern views of evolution stem all the way back 00:26:56.55\00:26:59.23 to theories developed in the mid-eighteen hundreds. 00:26:59.24\00:27:02.56 Out of this same time period came ideas that shape 00:27:02.57\00:27:05.73 our educational system today. 00:27:05.74\00:27:08.83 The common school movement for example, 00:27:08.84\00:27:10.81 saw schools more like a factory with students 00:27:10.82\00:27:14.03 blindly memorizing instructions, 00:27:14.04\00:27:15.92 rather than thinking for themselves. 00:27:15.93\00:27:18.31 Their curriculum was rigid and theoretical, 00:27:18.32\00:27:21.15 instead of being flexible and practical, 00:27:21.16\00:27:23.95 that was designed to conform the individual 00:27:23.96\00:27:26.33 into a specific ideological mould, 00:27:26.34\00:27:29.27 that fit the needs of an old industrial era, 00:27:29.28\00:27:31.70 long since past. 00:27:31.71\00:27:33.02 Just like our view of creation 00:27:34.35\00:27:36.27 in six literal days, we believe the Bible, 00:27:36.28\00:27:39.17 contains an educational blueprint, 00:27:39.18\00:27:42.10 radically different from the one we see now. 00:27:42.11\00:27:44.43 Well friends, that's it for today. 00:27:57.71\00:27:59.32 Pick up the phone and give us a call at 800-525-9192. 00:27:59.33\00:28:05.03 Have a wonderful day and God bless. 00:28:05.04\00:28:07.18
