I did experience it. 00:03:14.10\00:03:16.57 It was in the later part of the chemo, 00:03:17.03\00:03:20.06 I started experiencing shortness of breath, 00:03:20.75\00:03:23.39 I was fatigued very easily, 00:03:23.57\00:03:26.03 and could barely walk down the 00:03:26.69\00:03:28.66 stairs without feeling out of breath, 00:03:28.67\00:03:31.09 and just a heaviness on my chest. 00:03:31.10\00:03:33.15 So they sent me to a lung specialist, 00:03:34.24\00:03:37.72 and they ran some tests and they 00:03:39.54\00:03:41.42 showed that I did have lung toxicity 00:03:41.43\00:03:43.48 the lining 00:03:44.03\00:03:45.78 I guess the walls of the lungs 00:03:46.15\00:03:47.87 had thickened from the bleomycin. 00:03:47.88\00:03:49.81 and it was difficult to breath. 00:03:49.82\00:03:51.60 And also my heart rate was terribly fast, 00:03:52.18\00:03:55.24 it got up to about 149 beats per minute 00:03:56.24\00:03:59.24 Wow, ok 00:03:59.54\00:04:01.03 And then what happened? You came to a point in your life 00:04:01.48\00:04:05.42 where they diagnosed you for real with the 00:04:05.87\00:04:09.06 disease that you are here to treat, right? 00:04:09.07\00:04:12.06 Right, right, I was in remission 00:04:12.42\00:04:15.48 from the cancer at that point even though 00:04:15.72\00:04:18.24 I was still undergoing the chemo treatment 00:04:18.25\00:04:20.69 but, I was. . . 00:04:21.60\00:04:23.60 you know I had all this toxicity in my body, and I felt I needed 00:04:24.24\00:04:27.63 to go somewhere where I could 00:04:27.64\00:04:29.27 strengthen myself and cleanse myself 00:04:29.28\00:04:31.21 of all the chemo that I had undergone. 00:04:31.81\00:04:36.27 And also to strengthen myself, and be able to walk, 00:04:36.72\00:04:41.27 and to be able to do the chores I used to be able to do. 00:04:41.72\00:04:44.78 Now when you arrived here, could you walk? 00:04:45.15\00:04:47.75 just a little bit at all? 00:04:47.76\00:04:49.33 Oh I could walk, by then I had been given a 00:04:49.51\00:04:53.09 lot of cortisone to help the lungs to heal. 00:04:53.10\00:04:56.48 So I was walking, 00:04:57.30\00:04:59.36 I wasn't feeling as good as I am now, 00:04:59.81\00:05:02.45 so my energy levels weren't 00:05:02.46\00:05:04.30 what they used to be. 00:05:04.75\00:05:06.45 So I've seen a huge difference in 00:05:07.00\00:05:10.24 my energy levels and in my strength, 00:05:10.25\00:05:13.66 and also in my ability to breath. 00:05:14.21\00:05:16.66 Oh wonderful. 00:05:17.21\00:05:18.36 Now did the doctors here 00:05:18.81\00:05:20.60 examine you for your past conditions? 00:05:20.61\00:05:23.27 Yes they did, they did a very thorough examination, 00:05:24.33\00:05:28.21 they did a stress test, they did a 00:05:28.22\00:05:30.69 treadmill test which marked your blood pressure, 00:05:31.33\00:05:35.66 and your heart rate during strenuous exercise 00:05:35.67\00:05:39.69 and they do that at the beginning of the program, 00:05:40.42\00:05:42.66 and then again at the end. 00:05:42.67\00:05:43.84 And how did you fair? 00:05:43.85\00:05:44.87 Oh, at the end it was great! 00:05:45.36\00:05:47.09 I could do quite a bit more than I did, 00:05:48.54\00:05:51.36 I went an extra minute and a half. 00:05:51.37\00:05:53.69 a very strenuous sort of running-walking, and 00:05:54.30\00:05:59.00 It was a big difference, 00:05:59.51\00:06:01.24 my blood pressure too has come down, 00:06:01.25\00:06:03.63 my resting heart rate has improved. 00:06:03.64\00:06:06.03 Awesome, who is your doctor? 00:06:06.09\00:06:08.09 Dr. Lukens. 00:06:08.24\00:06:09.66 What a wonderful man. 00:06:10.00\00:06:11.36 Oh, there are not too many like 00:06:12.60\00:06:14.72 him in the world, he's so special. 00:06:14.73\00:06:17.06 He is a special man, he's been gifted by God. 00:06:17.18\00:06:19.63 He really has been, and you really can see Christ in him. 00:06:19.75\00:06:24.69 Just in the love that he has for each one of his patients, 00:06:26.51\00:06:30.18 and for everyone in general. Tell me what's happened, 00:12:28.03\00:12:31.30 tell our viewers so perhaps they can be inspired. 00:12:31.31\00:12:35.03 Well, the thing that is really wonderful, 00:12:35.15\00:12:38.78 is that, and people out there might think 00:12:39.54\00:12:42.27 you know, is all you can think 00:12:43.00\00:12:45.45 about is NEWSTART, and what they do 00:12:45.46\00:12:48.30 and you're down on everything else, I'm not. 00:12:48.63\00:12:50.60 I believe in surgery for cancer, 00:12:51.30\00:12:54.30 I believe in radiation for cancer. 00:12:55.12\00:12:58.84 I have a cousin who is a 00:12:58.87\00:13:00.24 dosimeter and he has to figure out 00:13:00.25\00:13:02.06 how much radiation 00:13:02.45\00:13:04.54 to give to patients. 00:13:05.03\00:13:06.51 And these things are a curative, sometimes. 00:13:06.69\00:13:09.60 And even chemotherapy, 00:13:10.06\00:13:11.66 the non-hodgkin's lymphoma, 00:13:12.09\00:13:14.57 I think they get a 95 00:13:15.12\00:13:16.42 percent cure rate on these things. 00:13:16.43\00:13:18.48 So we can't be against something that really works, 00:13:18.75\00:13:21.00 But the thing is is that the side effects 00:13:21.45\00:13:23.72 can sometimes be permanent. 00:13:24.81\00:13:27.51 Isn't that why Idelys came to the NEWSTART, 00:13:28.00\00:13:31.00 is because of the side effects? 00:13:31.01\00:13:32.51 Yes. 00:13:32.69\00:13:33.78 And she had radiation for the tumours that were in the chest 00:13:34.12\00:13:39.66 and if they just keep growing, 00:13:42.06\00:13:43.84 obviously you don't have room for 00:13:43.85\00:13:45.84 anything in the chest but the tumours. 00:13:46.30\00:13:48.09 And so they had to do that, 00:13:48.54\00:13:50.45 but it left her with radiation problems 00:13:50.46\00:13:53.15 She called it lung toxicity, but it's just 00:13:55.63\00:13:59.36 a problem there, and you know 00:13:59.81\00:14:01.39 and the thing is, is that there's a lot of other problems 00:14:02.33\00:14:05.03 that people have in their lungs. I know from when I was a baby 00:14:05.04\00:14:07.78 I have damaged lungs from asthma for many many years, 00:14:08.21\00:14:11.21 but haven't had to take any 00:14:11.48\00:14:13.15 medication for my asthma for 18 years now. 00:14:13.16\00:14:15.57 So I know there's secretions in there 00:14:15.84\00:14:18.18 there's inflammation and stuff, and we keep coming back to 00:14:18.63\00:14:23.36 getting the lungs to clear out. 00:14:24.12\00:14:26.69 I know a lot of people this isn't popular with them, 00:14:29.12\00:14:31.51 but even just a little bit of milk protein 00:14:31.52\00:14:33.42 for some people just keeps the inflammation going. 00:14:33.81\00:14:36.51 And so we see, even emphysema patients, 00:14:37.15\00:14:41.06 that when the secretions clear up and 00:14:41.84\00:14:44.03 the inflammation in their lungs is better, 00:14:44.04\00:14:46.30 they start breathing quietly again. 00:14:46.75\00:14:48.66 And this was her thing, 00:14:49.00\00:14:50.42 we were able to do that part out, 00:14:51.66\00:14:53.51 but we got rid of some of the inflammation that came 00:14:53.52\00:14:56.75 from the radiation. 00:14:57.24\00:14:58.27 The secretions that she had in 00:14:59.33\00:15:01.12 her lungs are starting to clear up 00:15:01.13\00:15:03.12 and so she was thrilled because she could start 00:15:03.54\00:15:05.72 she could actually, and she told you that, 00:15:06.27\00:15:08.69 she could go around the half mile loop, 00:15:08.70\00:15:11.27 she could go fast. 00:15:11.39\00:15:12.69 One of the things we know that she is getting better is because 00:15:14.36\00:15:17.87 her pulse was always high, she said 00:15:18.42\00:15:20.72 it's been that way since she was a kid. 00:15:20.73\00:15:23.27 Why do you suppose that was? 00:15:23.45\00:15:25.21 Well some people are just that way, 00:15:25.22\00:15:26.69 But hers was inordinately high, and it was a problem, 00:15:27.00\00:15:31.06 and now it's come down to a normal level. 00:15:31.07\00:15:34.15 Has she been eating in the past before NEWSTART 00:15:34.24\00:15:37.60 animal products, dairy products? 00:15:38.15\00:15:40.33 Yes, yes, why not? 00:15:40.78\00:15:42.06 She was. Why not? Yes 00:15:42.42\00:15:44.39 Since she came here she stopped these things, 00:15:46.00\00:15:47.75 and of course she got better. 00:15:47.76\00:15:48.87 Yes exactly, well I don't know where she'd find them on campus! 00:15:48.88\00:15:51.69 The point I'm getting to is with all 00:15:54.84\00:15:57.24 these animal products she was taking 00:15:57.25\00:15:59.48 these were causing inflammation in the lungs you think? 00:15:59.69\00:16:02.51 They do, and I keep 00:16:03.00\00:16:04.00 talking about the prostaglandins, 00:16:04.01\00:16:05.60 if someone wants to know about prostaglandins google it, 00:16:05.61\00:16:08.39 there's only three and three quarter million hits, 00:16:08.87\00:16:11.21 so you have to have a few minutes 00:16:11.22\00:16:12.66 if you want to find out about it. 00:16:12.67\00:16:14.15 That's a lot of reading right? 00:16:14.42\00:16:15.69 You've talked about it on our program a number of times, 00:16:16.57\00:16:19.30 and I know, it's getting into my brain here, 00:16:19.60\00:16:22.48 but I visualize when we change 00:16:22.78\00:16:26.00 to a plant based whole food program, 00:16:26.60\00:16:31.00 thos prostaglandins get into the arteries, and capillaries 00:16:31.27\00:16:35.09 and they just open up and 00:16:35.42\00:16:36.60 increase the blood flow, is that right? 00:16:36.61\00:16:38.42 They increase the flow, and they 00:16:38.48\00:16:40.15 decrease the inflammation, that's why 00:16:40.16\00:16:42.21 all these areas of inflammation, 00:16:42.45\00:16:43.78 and you can think of inflammation all over the place, 00:16:43.79\00:16:46.09 we'll talk about that in the next patient, you know, 00:16:46.57\00:16:49.42 she gave me a hug last night at the 00:16:50.21\00:16:51.72 banquet and she said you have given me hope. 00:16:51.73\00:16:53.66 Now what other issues was Idelys dealing with? 00:16:55.48\00:16:59.57 I know she wasn't morbidly obese, 00:16:59.63\00:17:02.00 but she was. . . 00:17:02.01\00:17:03.09 Well her normal weight was like 125, 00:17:03.24\00:17:06.30 and you know, somebody that is as vivacious and attractive 00:17:08.42\00:17:12.24 and everything as she is, 00:17:12.69\00:17:15.00 She gained up to 165, they had to 00:17:15.69\00:17:17.87 give her the prednisone in order to. . . 00:17:17.88\00:17:20.51 you know with all the inflammation in there if 00:17:20.87\00:17:22.48 they don't do that she's not going 00:17:22.49\00:17:23.54 to be able to breath at all. 00:17:23.55\00:17:24.57 And that causes weight gain? 00:17:24.60\00:17:26.00 Yes it always does. 00:17:26.24\00:17:27.51 So you know, there's a whole 40 plus or minus pounds there 00:17:28.06\00:17:32.57 And from that time she tried to do some of 00:17:34.51\00:17:36.45 these things at home, started trying to do it 00:17:36.46\00:17:38.48 and she's lost 15, now she's down to 00:17:39.18\00:17:41.72 about 150. 00:17:42.39\00:17:43.60 And that's the right direction, 00:17:44.30\00:17:45.69 that's another reason why she looks better. 00:17:45.70\00:17:47.63 But she's redone it so 00:17:48.33\00:17:51.45 some of the adipose and some of 00:17:51.78\00:17:53.33 that other stuff is gone, and she's 00:17:53.34\00:17:55.00 lean body mass again, so that's wonderful. 00:17:56.78\00:17:59.81 But there are other things that happened to 00:18:00.21\00:18:02.42 her besides the weight gain and the breathing 00:18:02.43\00:18:04.69 her white blood count got so low that they had to give her 00:18:05.15\00:18:08.60 injections to bring the white blood count up, 00:18:10.09\00:18:12.63 she said they weren't so painful at the time, 00:18:13.03\00:18:15.69 but her bones just ached. 00:18:15.70\00:18:17.21 You see, so I can't be against what she did 00:18:17.87\00:18:22.45 to get rid of the lymphoma, 00:18:23.33\00:18:26.78 but she also went through fever treatment here that also helps, 00:18:27.33\00:18:30.54 you know, with her immune system. 00:18:32.27\00:18:34.72 And the thing that's really wonderful 00:18:36.81\00:18:39.69 about that is she's just feeling good now. 00:18:39.70\00:18:42.36 Yes, absolutely, now I get calls 00:18:42.42\00:18:44.78 from time to time, people want to know 00:18:44.79\00:18:47.54 you know, what. . . 00:18:47.87\00:18:49.39 we have people come here for 18 days, 00:18:50.15\00:18:52.12 and I understand we have a program in place now 00:18:52.81\00:18:56.42 where when they leave we do followup. 00:18:56.87\00:18:59.48 Do you followup on the guests as well? 00:19:00.21\00:19:02.87 Yes, as I can and that's why this 00:19:03.00\00:19:05.66 is something that has to be in place 00:19:05.67\00:19:08.57 because you know it's surprising, 00:19:09.00\00:19:11.30 three months from now, 00:19:11.31\00:19:12.78 some of the time the people, 00:19:13.06\00:19:15.06 the message that they go away from, here, 00:19:15.07\00:19:17.84 is something that they've heard long ago, 00:19:18.42\00:19:20.27 that we didn't even say to them, like 00:19:20.28\00:19:21.84 well I gave up red meat, 00:19:22.30\00:19:23.63 and I'm just eating chicken and fish now. 00:19:23.64\00:19:25.81 You know, I mean. . . 00:19:26.24\00:19:27.27 So you know you have to, 00:19:28.72\00:19:30.48 and sometimes their cholesterol was really high 00:19:30.49\00:19:33.45 and they don't get the idea that, well you know, 00:19:33.84\00:19:35.78 I know that olive oil, and canola and Saffola 00:19:36.06\00:19:39.18 those are really good for you, 00:19:39.39\00:19:41.06 so I'm using those now instead of the other, 00:19:41.07\00:19:43.30 and we know from Esselstyn study, 00:19:43.51\00:19:45.72 and the other studies, 00:19:46.24\00:19:47.75 they're not going to get that clearing out of their arteries, 00:19:48.30\00:19:51.24 unless they go to the whole plant foods with no added oil. 00:19:51.25\00:19:54.06 Absolutely none, unless it's natural? 00:19:54.69\00:19:56.39 Well whatever they have to do to get 00:19:56.45\00:19:58.87 their total cholesterol down below 150 00:19:58.88\00:20:01.45 without medicine you see. 00:20:01.57\00:20:03.30 Sometimes you can take a medicine that will 00:20:03.48\00:20:06.21 take your so called bad cholesterol from 150, 00:20:06.22\00:20:09.00 which is high, down to 50. 00:20:09.27\00:20:11.12 And those haven't been shown to be helpful for everyone, 00:20:11.84\00:20:16.75 but if I say, we want your LDL cholesterol down to 70 00:20:17.15\00:20:21.27 and theirs is 50, you know 00:20:21.57\00:20:22.87 everything I say after that is just. . . 00:20:22.88\00:20:24.87 you know because they are already there 00:20:26.15\00:20:27.39 so they need to do it without, 00:20:27.75\00:20:29.42 that's what my family practice news magazine says. 00:20:29.43\00:20:32.12 You've got to do it, and you've got to do it right. 00:20:32.66\00:20:35.36 Without medication? 00:20:35.60\00:20:37.12 Well you know, maybe the 00:20:37.24\00:20:38.57 medication can help in some situations 00:20:38.58\00:20:40.63 but, 00:20:41.00\00:20:42.06 if it's only the medication that's doing it, 00:20:42.24\00:20:44.18 and they haven't done any exercise they haven't done any 00:20:44.19\00:20:46.54 diet change, then they are usually fooling themselves. 00:20:46.78\00:20:50.51 Well if the numbers go from 150 to 50 isn't that a good thing? 00:20:51.06\00:20:55.48 Yes, but it doesn't save that many lives. 00:20:56.03\00:20:58.09 It doesn't? 00:20:58.10\00:20:59.21 No. 00:20:59.30\00:21:00.30 So because you're taking these 00:21:00.31\00:21:02.60 cholesterol lowering medications, 00:21:02.87\00:21:04.75 it doesn't necessarily save a lot 00:21:04.76\00:21:06.60 Your very very happy with the numbers, 00:21:06.72\00:21:09.24 but you see, I do the family practicing, 00:21:09.45\00:21:12.21 and the family practice guys are the primary 00:21:12.22\00:21:15.15 and they have to tell you what 00:21:15.48\00:21:17.36 really happens and what really works 00:21:17.37\00:21:19.51 and they say, you've got to have lifestyle 00:21:19.60\00:21:22.06 you've got to have the diet, 00:21:22.42\00:21:24.78 the diet in this case is the big, 00:21:24.79\00:21:27.54 and then the other is huge too. 00:21:27.75\00:21:30.69 Dr. Lukens, 00:21:31.24\00:21:32.72 I want to thank you for joining us, 00:21:33.00\00:21:34.54 we're running out of time, 00:21:34.55\00:21:35.69 Folks don't go away, we'll be right back with a tip. 00:21:36.18\00:21:39.81 Hello, and welcome to NEWSTART NOW. 00:21:54.12\00:21:55.57 I'm Don Mackintosh, we're glad you're with us, 00:21:55.58\00:21:57.51 and we're glad that Dr. Michael Orlich is with us. 00:21:57.78\00:22:00.12 Thank you for being with us Doctor. 00:22:00.24\00:22:01.54 Glad to be with you. 00:22:01.55\00:22:02.57 You are a doctor that has experience in family practice, 00:22:02.58\00:22:05.42 and also you're boarding now on preventative medicine, 00:22:05.51\00:22:08.42 and you've worked for a number of years, 00:22:08.75\00:22:10.72 here even at Weimar with the NEWSTART program. 00:22:10.73\00:22:13.00 That's correct. 00:22:13.01\00:22:14.06 One of the things that they espouse here, 00:22:14.07\00:22:16.15 in other words they recommend, is that people 00:22:16.16\00:22:18.39 go on a largely plant based diet, if not fully. 00:22:18.84\00:22:21.75 And one of the concerns that we get a lot, 00:22:22.18\00:22:23.57 a lot of phone calls we get, 00:22:23.58\00:22:24.60 so you're going to help us clear this up, 00:22:24.61\00:22:26.15 is what about vitamin B12? I heard that this 00:22:26.36\00:22:28.81 could be a real problem, is that a problem? 00:22:28.82\00:22:31.24 Why is it a problem? What should we do about it if it is? 00:22:31.45\00:22:33.63 Vitamin B12 deficiency can be a real problem. 00:22:34.18\00:22:37.54 It can cause serious diseases. 00:22:37.78\00:22:41.27 It can cause problems with your blood, 00:22:42.06\00:22:44.30 a special type of anemia, 00:22:44.31\00:22:45.69 but more critically still, 00:22:46.18\00:22:47.84 is it can cause damage to your nerves, 00:22:47.85\00:22:50.30 and this can lead to 00:22:50.63\00:22:52.27 psychiatric and neurological 00:22:52.57\00:22:54.36 problems that could be quite serious, 00:22:54.37\00:22:56.60 and if not caught soon enough 00:22:57.15\00:22:59.66 could actually be irreversible. 00:23:00.24\00:23:02.00 So it's a very important thing to know about. 00:23:02.06\00:23:03.81 Now, do many people get this? 00:23:04.06\00:23:07.21 Do many people have these problems? 00:23:07.66\00:23:09.27 Have you ever seen a case? 00:23:09.28\00:23:10.39 Yes I have seen a case unfortunately, 00:23:10.81\00:23:13.30 vitamin B12 deficiency is not common, 00:23:13.63\00:23:17.36 but it is somewhat prevalent. 00:23:17.81\00:23:21.57 And in most cases it relates to 00:23:21.81\00:23:24.54 disorders of the gastrointestinal track 00:23:24.81\00:23:27.75 where the vitamin B12 for one reason or 00:23:28.30\00:23:30.78 another is not able to be absorbed well. 00:23:30.79\00:23:33.33 The other population that is particularly at risk, 00:23:33.51\00:23:36.30 for vitamin B12 deficiency is the elderly. 00:23:36.42\00:23:39.33 Often the elderly get on a sort of tea and toast diet 00:23:39.54\00:23:43.51 and so their not getting in much vitamin B12, 00:23:43.84\00:23:46.54 and they don't absorb it as well 00:23:46.55\00:23:48.39 so as you get older the 00:23:48.57\00:23:50.24 requirements for dietary B12 go up. 00:23:50.25\00:23:52.60 Now I don't want to put you on the spot, 00:23:53.18\00:23:54.87 this is kind of like a true or false question for me, 00:23:54.88\00:23:57.21 but I've heard someone said that most vitamin B12 00:23:57.39\00:23:59.75 deficiencies occur in people that 00:23:59.76\00:24:01.42 are meat eaters. Is that true or false? 00:24:01.43\00:24:03.33 That's true, and that's because of 00:24:03.42\00:24:05.27 the reasons that I just mentioned, 00:24:05.28\00:24:07.09 most of the vitamin B12 deficiencies are 00:24:07.15\00:24:09.66 not due to not getting enough in the diet, 00:24:09.67\00:24:12.30 rather it's due to gastrointestinal 00:24:12.51\00:24:14.66 problems interfering with the absorption. 00:24:14.67\00:24:17.21 However, vegetarians 00:24:17.60\00:24:20.33 particularly vegans or total vegetarians that don't eat any 00:24:20.54\00:24:24.54 animal based foods, no milk, etc. 00:24:25.09\00:24:28.00 are a higher risk of 00:24:28.27\00:24:30.00 developing vitamin B12 deficiency. 00:24:30.01\00:24:32.66 And as you know, at NEWSTART we do teach a plant based diet, 00:24:33.21\00:24:36.48 as a therapeutic diet, 00:24:36.49\00:24:37.69 and as a preventative diet that can 00:24:37.70\00:24:39.60 increase your longevity, and reduce 00:24:39.84\00:24:42.36 your risk for a variety of diseases, 00:24:42.37\00:24:44.75 but we want to be smart about it, 00:24:45.09\00:24:46.57 and we don't want to 00:24:46.58\00:24:47.66 stumble into another problem while we are solving others. 00:24:47.67\00:24:50.42 So what can we do to avoid a deficiency in this? 00:24:50.63\00:24:54.30 It's really very simple, 00:24:54.63\00:24:56.15 you just need to have a known quantity 00:24:56.16\00:24:58.36 of vitamin B12 in your diet, either in pill form, 00:24:58.60\00:25:01.84 or in fortified foods. 00:25:02.21\00:25:03.78 Plant foods do not have naturally occurring vitamin B12 00:25:04.33\00:25:08.60 in any level that you can rely upon. 00:25:09.03\00:25:11.30 Now you may see things 00:25:11.75\00:25:14.60 in health food stores and that 00:25:15.12\00:25:16.66 kind of thing that claim that certain 00:25:16.67\00:25:18.60 seaweeds and things have vitamin B12, 00:25:18.61\00:25:20.57 but this is not really true vitamin B12, 00:25:20.58\00:25:22.66 and you can still have deficiencies. 00:25:23.24\00:25:24.72 So we would recommend either a multi-vitamin that you 00:25:25.00\00:25:28.06 take every day that has a small amount of vitamin B12, 00:25:28.07\00:25:31.12 or you could take a vitamin B12 tablet say once a week, 00:25:31.48\00:25:35.60 or even once every two weeks, and that would be plenty. 00:25:35.61\00:25:38.39 Or you could eat foods that are 00:25:39.09\00:25:41.24 fortified with B12, this could be a lot of 00:25:41.25\00:25:44.12 boxed breakfast cereals, 00:25:44.54\00:25:46.39 many of your soy milks and other products have vitamin B12. 00:25:46.72\00:25:50.48 So you don't need much, it's very easy to get it, 00:25:50.57\00:25:53.24 but you want to be conscious of 00:25:53.57\00:25:55.24 that so you don't become deficient 00:25:55.25\00:25:57.00 and suffer needless problems. 00:25:57.27\00:25:58.81 Thanks a lot for being with us Dr. Mike. 00:25:59.24\00:26:01.03 And thank you for being with us, we hope the 00:26:01.36\00:26:03.54 information you gained today will 00:26:03.55\00:26:05.24 give you a new start, right now. 00:26:05.25\00:26:06.75 Hi, I hope that you've enjoyed as much 00:26:15.33\00:26:17.36 as I have this edition of NEWSTART Now. 00:26:17.37\00:26:19.42 I'm Jim Brackett, executive vice 00:26:19.87\00:26:21.63 president here at the Weimar Center, 00:26:21.64\00:26:23.51 I want to take just a moment to give you an idea of some 00:26:24.12\00:26:26.33 of the wonderful resources we have here at the bookstore, 00:26:26.34\00:26:28.48 such as Dr. Nedley's book Proof Positive. 00:26:28.75\00:26:31.33 Now in addition to Dr. Nedley's book, 00:26:32.27\00:26:34.27 he has a series on depression recovery. 00:26:34.28\00:26:36.33 We have the NEWSTART lifestyle 00:26:36.51\00:26:38.57 series on DVD by our NEWSTART physicians, 00:26:38.58\00:26:41.30 relating to topics like diabetes, 00:26:41.63\00:26:43.57 heart disease, cancer. 00:26:43.58\00:26:44.81 We have a number of authors who have cookbooks here, 00:26:45.27\00:26:48.21 including some in the raw field. 00:26:48.54\00:26:50.30 Now we'd love to have you stop by and visit 00:26:50.75\00:26:52.66 us for your shopping, but you can do it online at: 00:26:52.67\00:26:55.42 Click the link that says bookstore. 00:26:56.78\00:26:58.45 Or use our 800 number, 00:26:58.75\00:27:01.24 And by the way, anytime your 00:27:03.81\00:27:05.33 order is a hundred dollars or more, 00:27:05.34\00:27:07.15 we'll see that you get free the NEWSTART lifestyle cookbook. 00:27:07.60\00:27:11.60 Well friends that's it for today, 00:27:15.66\00:27:17.63 you know I feel privileged working here, I get to watch 00:27:18.21\00:27:21.06 all these miracles week after week. 00:27:21.48\00:27:23.63 People are cured from diseases that 00:27:24.18\00:27:26.21 even their doctors don't know what they have. 00:27:26.66\00:27:28.60 But we have seen high blood pressure, 00:27:29.33\00:27:31.57 cardiovascular diseases 00:27:32.12\00:27:33.69 diabetes, obesity, alcoholism, 00:27:34.48\00:27:37.06 all these ills be turned around, people have left here healthy. 00:27:37.42\00:27:41.87 So if you have a friend or a family member that's 00:27:42.42\00:27:45.12 sick and tired of being sick and tired, 00:27:45.57\00:27:47.78 give us a call, and pick up the phone. 00:27:48.27\00:27:50.21 And call us at: 00:27:50.42\00:27:52.03 God bless you, and have a great week. 00:28:02.33\00:28:04.87
