One digit. 00:35:30.36\00:35:31.73 They're making the choices for you. 00:35:31.76\00:35:33.26 But the moment you become two digits, 00:35:33.29\00:35:36.06 Jesus turns 12, 00:35:36.10\00:35:37.43 He is in the temple and He says, 00:35:37.47\00:35:39.37 "This is for me, this is me." 00:35:39.40\00:35:41.57 The moment you become two digits, 00:35:41.60\00:35:42.94 and by the way everybody here is pretty much two digits. 00:35:42.97\00:35:46.78 The moment you hit the two digit, 00:35:46.84\00:35:48.28 whether you're 15 or 25, 00:35:48.31\00:35:49.64 35, 45, 55, 75, 85, 00:35:49.68\00:35:52.65 I don't care how old you are. 00:35:52.68\00:35:54.08 The moment you hit two digits, 00:35:54.12\00:35:56.05 you now have control over your life 00:35:56.08\00:36:00.79 and aligning it to the high purpose of Almighty God. 00:36:00.82\00:36:05.76 Isn't that something? You now take the initiative. 00:36:05.79\00:36:09.83 You're young adult on this campus, 00:36:09.86\00:36:11.50 you're going through university, 00:36:11.53\00:36:12.87 you've got a great major, 00:36:12.90\00:36:14.24 you have a career dream in mind. 00:36:14.27\00:36:15.60 And God comes along to you 00:36:15.64\00:36:17.01 and He says, girl, He says, boy, 00:36:17.04\00:36:18.37 I want to tell you something about that career. 00:36:18.41\00:36:19.91 That career was only to assist me in my mission 00:36:19.94\00:36:23.14 to prepare a world for my soon coming. 00:36:23.18\00:36:25.51 Do you understand that? 00:36:25.55\00:36:26.92 You'll earn a living but you're working for me. 00:36:26.95\00:36:29.65 You'll earn a living but you're working for me. 00:36:29.68\00:36:32.02 Do you understand that? Are you 85? 00:36:32.05\00:36:33.99 Saying, you retried. 00:36:34.06\00:36:35.39 I still have a mission for you. 00:36:35.42\00:36:37.89 Once you're in the two digits, you cooperate, you align. 00:36:37.93\00:36:42.03 So here is the question. 00:36:42.06\00:36:43.43 What are you doing right now to align your life 00:36:43.47\00:36:46.17 with the mission of a soon coming Christ? 00:36:46.20\00:36:49.90 I know what your profession is, I'm looking at your faces. 00:36:49.97\00:36:51.57 I know a whole lot of you. 00:36:51.61\00:36:52.94 I know what your professions are. 00:36:52.97\00:36:54.31 I'm not asking you, what your profession is, 00:36:54.34\00:36:56.04 I'm asking what are you doing now 00:36:56.08\00:36:57.88 to align your life 00:36:57.91\00:36:59.85 to the mission, the mission possible 00:36:59.88\00:37:02.95 of a soon coming Jesus? 00:37:02.98\00:37:06.59 All right, we needed that little Luke 1 moment, 00:37:06.62\00:37:09.82 because it's the red letters of Jesus in Matthew 11 00:37:09.86\00:37:12.79 that we want to end with, so go to Matthew 11. 00:37:12.83\00:37:14.93 The red letters of Jesus. 00:37:14.93\00:37:17.00 Go back to Matthew 11. 00:37:17.07\00:37:19.50 By the way, we will fast forward now from the little boy 00:37:19.53\00:37:23.44 who eventually goes out into the wilderness 00:37:23.51\00:37:24.87 till six months before he's beheaded, 00:37:24.91\00:37:28.28 he's going to be beheaded in six months 00:37:28.31\00:37:29.68 from the moment these words are spoken. 00:37:29.71\00:37:32.08 Red letter words, Christ will speak them. 00:37:32.11\00:37:34.12 Matthew 11:7, 00:37:34.15\00:37:36.05 "As John's disciples were leaving," 00:37:36.08\00:37:38.25 you see the disciples John is a master, he has followers. 00:37:38.29\00:37:42.62 They've come for a private audience 00:37:42.66\00:37:44.13 with this Jesus. 00:37:44.16\00:37:46.53 He's had time along with them, 00:37:46.56\00:37:47.86 he sent them back to his cousin 00:37:47.93\00:37:49.93 in Herod's fortress dungeon. 00:37:49.96\00:37:55.14 As John's disciples were leaving, 00:37:55.17\00:37:56.67 Jesus scrolls around, 00:37:56.71\00:37:58.04 pivots on his sandals and turns to the masses. 00:37:58.07\00:38:01.41 He began, He calls out to them. 00:38:01.44\00:38:03.21 "He began to speak to the crowd about John. 00:38:03.24\00:38:05.51 'What did you go out into the wilderness to see? 00:38:05.55\00:38:09.28 A reed swayed by the wind?'" 00:38:09.32\00:38:13.49 Everybody in that audience knew what a reed looks like, 00:38:13.52\00:38:17.16 because Jesus chooses 00:38:17.19\00:38:18.53 the vegetation growing profusely 00:38:18.56\00:38:20.53 along the very patch of the Jordan River, 00:38:20.56\00:38:22.93 where John was baptizing. 00:38:22.96\00:38:24.30 There's a picture, take a look. 00:38:24.33\00:38:25.90 Everybody immediately saw what Jesus was asking, 00:38:25.93\00:38:29.54 did you go out into the wilderness 00:38:29.57\00:38:30.94 to see a reed? 00:38:30.97\00:38:33.58 As you can see from the picture reeds are flimsy enough 00:38:33.61\00:38:36.24 that they are unable to stand tall 00:38:36.28\00:38:38.18 before a prevailing wind or even a breeze. 00:38:38.21\00:38:40.65 Let the wind blow this way, the reed goes this way. 00:38:40.72\00:38:43.69 Let the wind blow that way, the reed bends that way. 00:38:43.72\00:38:48.32 A reed is always as fickle as the wind. 00:38:48.36\00:38:53.80 And God knows 00:38:53.83\00:38:55.90 the winds of the zeitgeist blow every, which way? 00:38:55.93\00:39:01.80 N.D. the Messiah's second coming. 00:50:30.43\00:50:32.49 It will take guts to stand up to the crowd 00:50:32.53\00:50:34.46 but I will have young men, and middle-aged men, 00:50:34.46\00:50:37.30 and elderly men, young women, 00:50:37.33\00:50:39.97 middle-aged women, and elderly women, 00:50:40.00\00:50:41.77 I will have a people who will stand up to the crowd, 00:50:41.80\00:50:48.38 and tell the truth about who I am as creator 00:50:48.41\00:50:50.98 and redeemer of the human race and the time is almost out. 00:50:51.01\00:50:55.15 Come now to him, 00:50:55.18\00:50:57.55 I will have a movement and you are that movement. 00:50:57.59\00:51:03.93 It takes guts to stand up to a crowd, 00:51:03.96\00:51:06.73 because have you noticed this, when you stand up, look, look, 00:51:06.80\00:51:09.03 when you stand up, there you are standing up, 00:51:09.06\00:51:11.50 the moment you stand up, you stand out. 00:51:11.53\00:51:14.70 You know what it feels like to stand out? 00:51:18.31\00:51:20.28 Just ask Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, 00:51:20.34\00:51:21.98 "Hey, boys, how did it feel 00:51:22.01\00:51:23.45 standing up just the three of you 00:51:23.51\00:51:24.85 everybody else on their faces before that image, 00:51:24.88\00:51:27.82 and you three boys are standing up. 00:51:27.85\00:51:29.82 What did that feel like? 00:51:29.85\00:51:32.22 Talk about the hot breath of the mob. 00:51:32.25\00:51:35.86 Yeah. 00:51:35.89\00:51:38.53 And by the way, I just tell you about the word zeitgeist, 00:51:38.56\00:51:40.96 these people that run the zeitgeist. 00:51:41.00\00:51:44.00 They have one compelling mission, 00:51:44.03\00:51:48.37 level anyone who stands up. 00:51:48.40\00:51:50.54 You know, why the world doesn't want you standing up? 00:51:50.57\00:51:53.07 Because when you stand up, 00:51:53.11\00:51:54.58 it makes it clear they're not standing. 00:51:54.61\00:51:57.88 The mission of the world is at level, 00:51:57.91\00:51:59.88 cut them off at the feet, just cut them off, 00:51:59.95\00:52:02.02 eliminate, so that we're all flat, 00:52:02.05\00:52:04.99 all of us flat. 00:52:05.02\00:52:06.35 Nobody stands up on this planet. 00:52:06.39\00:52:08.02 Lucifer says, nobody, it's my planet. 00:52:08.06\00:52:12.76 Wow. 00:52:12.79\00:52:15.76 Which is why that zeitgeist of the world. 00:52:15.80\00:52:19.47 The zeitgeist of the world beheaded John the Baptist. 00:52:19.50\00:52:23.51 The zeitgeist of the world crucified the Lord Jesus, 00:52:23.57\00:52:28.04 because they had the courage to stand up, 00:52:28.08\00:52:30.81 and so they were cut off at the knees 00:52:30.85\00:52:33.88 and taken down. 00:52:33.92\00:52:35.72 No, it takes guts to stand up to the crowd. 00:52:35.75\00:52:41.96 But that's what Jesus is calling you to do today. 00:52:41.99\00:52:44.63 I end with these words of His, I put it on the screen for you, 00:52:44.66\00:52:47.10 "If anyone desires to come after Me, 00:52:47.13\00:52:49.60 let him, let her deny herself, 00:52:49.63\00:52:51.43 let him deny himself and take up his cross, 00:52:51.47\00:52:54.70 let her take up her cross and come follow Me." 00:52:54.74\00:52:59.47 Stand up, stand out for Christ. 00:52:59.51\00:53:03.85 That's your mission, should you choose to accept it. 00:53:03.88\00:53:06.58 You were born for this, you were born for this moment. 00:53:06.61\00:53:10.99 Don't blow your rondevu with eternal destiny. 00:53:11.02\00:53:17.79 Stand up 00:53:17.83\00:53:19.56 and be counted for Christ. 00:53:19.59\00:53:23.87 Don't worry about standing out, you will. 00:53:23.93\00:53:27.10 The issue is standing up. 00:53:27.14\00:53:30.57 Let us pray. 00:53:30.61\00:53:31.94 Oh, God... 00:53:31.97\00:53:33.31 We feel the hot breath 00:53:37.31\00:53:40.08 on our necks and ears, 00:53:40.12\00:53:42.92 we know which way the herd is pointed, 00:53:42.95\00:53:47.36 but Holy Father, 00:53:47.42\00:53:50.09 grant us a generation 00:53:50.13\00:53:54.86 that will turn around, 00:53:54.93\00:53:58.10 face the wind, 00:53:58.13\00:54:00.94 and stand up to the crowd. 00:54:00.97\00:54:05.47 The zeitgeist 00:54:05.51\00:54:08.18 will cut us off at our legs, 00:54:08.21\00:54:11.58 if you so wish. 00:54:11.61\00:54:15.05 But like John, 00:54:15.08\00:54:17.72 they may leave us standing just long enough, 00:54:17.75\00:54:21.46 for the truth to be heard and known. 00:54:21.49\00:54:25.99 Oh, give us the courage of John and the holy boldness 00:54:26.03\00:54:29.83 of Christ our Lord, I pray. 00:54:29.86\00:54:34.67 And while every head is bowed in prayer, 00:54:34.70\00:54:36.24 I can't move to the connect card. 00:54:36.27\00:54:39.51 Didn't do this in first service but I must ask,
