Amen. 00:11:04.73\00:11:11.20 Suver Pet who is the receptionist 00:11:11.23\00:11:14.17 and facilities coordinator here at Pioneer. 00:11:14.20\00:11:19.03 Put me in touch with a purportedly 00:11:19.06\00:11:23.37 actual recording 00:11:23.40\00:11:29.03 of people in hell. 00:11:29.06\00:11:34.39 I went to the website, 00:11:34.42\00:11:37.58 read the report of a group of geologists in Siberia 00:11:37.61\00:11:40.61 who drill 14.4 kilometers 00:11:40.64\00:11:44.02 into the crust of the earth. 00:11:44.05\00:11:48.90 And to their shock, 00:11:48.93\00:11:51.53 suddenly heard emanating 00:11:51.56\00:11:53.83 from the fiery core of this planet, 00:11:53.86\00:11:56.96 human screams. 00:11:56.99\00:12:01.33 The recording was made of those screams. 00:12:01.36\00:12:06.04 Someone sent radio host, 00:12:06.07\00:12:07.54 Art Bell a copy of that recording 00:12:07.57\00:12:10.09 and he played it on his radio show nationally. 00:12:10.12\00:12:16.46 It ended up on YouTube. 00:12:16.49\00:12:19.63 I want you to listen to it right now. 00:12:19.66\00:12:22.72 I warn you what you are about to hear 00:12:22.75\00:12:24.90 is very disturbing indeed. 00:12:24.93\00:12:27.38 I think we have the gist of that, 00:12:49.65\00:12:51.01 that goes on for 40 seconds. 00:12:51.04\00:12:52.67 Snopes.com, the urban legend online buster 00:12:55.16\00:13:02.72 researched the story 00:13:02.75\00:13:03.81 and understandably has declared it to be false. 00:13:03.84\00:13:08.25 But no matter your personal convictions about hell, 00:13:08.28\00:13:13.84 you must admit. Those are dreadful sounds. 00:13:13.87\00:13:21.20 Is there a place called hell? 00:13:21.23\00:13:26.17 And is it or will it be filled with sounds 00:13:26.20\00:13:32.88 such as we just heard. 00:13:32.91\00:13:37.61 In 1741, Jonathan Edwards 00:13:37.64\00:13:42.28 pastoring in North Hampton, Massachusetts, 00:13:42.31\00:13:46.26 during the great awakening, 00:13:46.29\00:13:48.93 preached his most famous sermon entitled, 00:13:48.96\00:13:51.11 "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." 00:13:51.14\00:13:58.24 Through--a very graphic depiction of hell, 00:13:58.27\00:14:01.43 he's pleading with his listeners to flee from sin to the Savior. 00:14:01.46\00:14:06.18 He's an exert from that sermon 00:14:06.21\00:14:08.38 I'll put it on the screen for you. 00:14:08.41\00:14:10.87 "The God that holds you over the pit of hell, 00:14:10.90\00:14:13.86 much as one holds a spider, 00:14:13.89\00:14:16.51 or some loathsome insect over the fire, 00:14:16.54\00:14:19.57 abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked. 00:14:19.60\00:14:23.74 His wrath towards you burns like fire, 00:14:23.77\00:14:26.94 he looks upon you as worthy of nothing else, 00:14:26.97\00:14:29.09 but to be cast into the fire, 00:14:29.12\00:14:31.79 he is of purer eyes than to bear to have you in his sight, 00:14:31.82\00:14:35.05 you are ten thousand times more abominable in his eyes, 00:14:35.08\00:14:38.79 than the most hateful venomous serpent is in ours. 00:14:38.82\00:14:42.82 How dreadful is the state of those that are daily 00:14:42.85\00:14:45.91 and hourly in the danger of this great wrath 00:14:45.94\00:14:49.47 and infinite misery!" 00:14:49.50\00:14:51.86 It's no wonder that in the 19th century 00:14:54.76\00:14:57.44 somebody published a children's book 00:14:57.47\00:15:02.00 capturing this popular concept of hell 00:15:02.03\00:15:04.31 for those tiny wide-eyed readers. 00:15:04.34\00:15:07.77 These words appeared in that book, 00:15:07.80\00:15:09.69 "Little child, if you go to hell, 00:15:09.72\00:15:13.30 there will be a devil at your side to strike you. 00:15:13.33\00:15:16.41 He will go on striking you every minute forever and ever, 00:15:16.44\00:15:19.60 without ever stopping. 00:15:19.63\00:15:21.52 How then will your body be after the devil 00:15:21.55\00:15:23.64 has been striking it every moment 00:15:23.67\00:15:25.58 for a hundred million years without stopping?" 00:15:25.61\00:15:31.33 It is no secret that the book 00:15:31.36\00:15:33.79 I hold here in my hands teaches... 00:15:33.82\00:15:39.81 about hell nor is it a secret. 00:15:39.84\00:15:43.70 That Christian preachers and theologians 00:15:43.73\00:15:45.45 over the centuries have interpreted 00:15:45.48\00:15:47.56 the Bible's teaching of hell 00:15:47.59\00:15:49.72 to mean that God will burn sinners forever and ever 00:15:49.75\00:15:54.87 in the fires of hell. 00:15:54.90\00:15:56.31 Nor is it surprising, nor should it be a secret... 00:15:56.34\00:16:01.16 to discover 00:16:01.19\00:16:02.59 that the teaching of everlasting hell has arguably 00:16:02.62\00:16:06.73 turn more thinking men and women 00:16:06.76\00:16:11.25 away from Christianity than any other single teaching. 00:16:11.28\00:16:16.93 Robert Ingersoll, 00:16:16.96\00:16:18.02 the celebrated agnostic of the 19th century 00:16:18.05\00:16:20.11 grew up here, his preacher dad. 00:16:20.14\00:16:22.35 His father was a pastor, he grew up hearing him teach 00:16:22.38\00:16:25.74 about how God would burn 00:16:25.77\00:16:26.80 little tiny babies forever in hell 00:16:26.83\00:16:29.90 that youthful mind absolutely revolted 00:16:29.93\00:16:32.73 against the injustice of the thought. 00:16:32.76\00:16:35.46 Little Bobby cried out, I hate him 00:16:35.49\00:16:37.88 and spent the rest of his life 00:16:37.91\00:16:39.45 disproving the God of Christianity. 00:16:39.48\00:16:42.88 Bertrand Russell famed atheist 00:16:42.91\00:16:44.85 of the 20th century in his book, 00:16:44.88\00:16:46.75 The Moral Problem wrote, "I do not myself feel that 00:16:46.78\00:16:50.37 any person profoundly humane 00:16:50.40\00:16:53.01 can believe in everlasting punishment." 00:16:53.04\00:16:55.85 And then in the 21st century 00:16:55.88\00:16:57.72 I have their books, Richard Dawkins, 00:16:57.75\00:17:00.39 Sam Harris, the celebrated atheist of today. 00:17:00.42\00:17:03.66 Both of them in their books confront the caricature of God 00:17:03.69\00:17:06.54 burning sinners forever in the fires of hell. 00:17:06.57\00:17:09.19 And both reject the notion of such a God. 00:17:09.22\00:17:11.77 In fact reject any God at all. 00:17:11.80\00:17:13.75 Who would want your monster god 00:17:13.78\00:17:16.60 to be his or her god anyway? 00:17:16.63\00:17:20.63 So what do we do? 00:17:20.66\00:17:22.27 We're just teaching that has turned 00:17:22.30\00:17:23.42 so many away from God, is it true? 00:17:23.45\00:17:26.60 Does the Bible teach that God burns babies 00:17:26.63\00:17:29.36 and sinners in an everlasting hell of fire 00:17:29.39\00:17:31.45 forever and ever? Amen. 00:17:31.48\00:17:35.88 Or is there another way 00:17:35.91\00:17:38.38 to understand the truth about hell? 00:17:38.41\00:17:43.87 Open you Bible with me please to the words of Jesus 00:17:43.90\00:17:46.34 in the Gospel of Saint Luke, Luke Chapter 12. 00:17:46.37\00:17:53.95 These are red letter words. 00:17:53.98\00:17:55.01 By the way if you didn't bring a Bible, 00:17:55.04\00:17:56.60 you need to see this for yourself. 00:17:56.63\00:17:59.46 Luke Chapter 12, grab the pew Bible in front of you, 00:17:59.49\00:18:01.59 it will be page 701 in the pew Bible. 00:18:01.62\00:18:04.41 Same translation that I'll be reading out in this morning, 00:18:04.44\00:18:06.84 the New King James version. 00:18:06.87\00:18:09.74 Luke 12:4, read it along with me. 00:18:09.77\00:18:16.06 Whatever translation you have, you have a red letter Bible, 00:18:16.09\00:18:19.33 these words better be in red 00:18:19.36\00:18:20.88 or you take that back. All right. 00:18:20.91\00:18:24.47 Luke 12:4, "And I say to you, My friends." Filos. 00:18:24.50\00:18:31.38 This speaks of like, you know, in Philadelphia city 00:18:31.41\00:18:33.18 a brother they love, the Greek word is Filos, 00:18:33.21\00:18:35.62 it means one, those I feel especially close to. 00:18:35.65\00:18:38.69 This is not a public teaching now. 00:18:38.72\00:18:42.86 "And I say to you, My friends, 00:18:42.89\00:18:44.40 do not be afraid of those who kill the body, 00:18:44.43\00:18:47.72 and after that have no more that they can do." 00:18:47.75\00:18:49.87 Verse 5, "But I will show you whom you should fear. 00:18:49.90\00:18:54.54 Fear Him who, after He has killed, 00:18:54.57\00:18:58.11 has power to cast into hell, 00:18:58.14\00:19:00.18 yes, I say to you, fear Him!" Wow. 00:19:00.21\00:19:06.95 Edward Fudge in his book, 00:19:06.98\00:19:08.33 "The Fire that Consumes," observes that, 00:19:08.36\00:19:10.59 and I put the words on the screen. 00:19:10.62\00:19:12.96 "Perhaps the greatest reason for talking about hell 00:19:12.99\00:19:16.11 is also the simplest and most obvious. 00:19:16.14\00:19:18.61 Jesus our Savior spoke of it-- 00:19:18.64\00:19:20.79 more than once and in the most serious tones. 00:19:20.82\00:19:23.22 Whenever He speaks, we will do well to listen." 00:19:23.25\00:19:27.53 It wouldn't be wonderful if we could come across 00:19:27.56\00:19:29.20 a line in the Gospels 00:19:29.23\00:19:30.42 where Jesus is speaking red letters and He says, 00:19:30.45\00:19:32.64 "You have heard of all that it was said, there is a hell. 00:19:32.67\00:19:36.75 But I say to you, there is no hell." Hallelujah. 00:19:36.78\00:19:42.74 You will not find those words in any of the Gospels. 00:19:42.77\00:19:46.95 Somber indeed, instead is His warning. 00:19:46.98\00:19:50.75 Look at verse 5, "But I will show you whom you should fear. 00:19:50.78\00:19:55.92 Fear Him who after He has killed, 00:19:55.95\00:19:58.79 has power to cast into hell, yes, I say to you, fear Him!" 00:19:58.82\00:20:06.73 We opened this series with a single red lettered line 00:20:06.76\00:20:10.95 for two critical reasons. 00:20:10.98\00:20:13.18 These reasons are so vital, 00:20:13.21\00:20:15.27 I wish you would scribble them down right now. 00:20:15.30\00:20:17.40 Would you pull out the worship study guide that's in your, 00:20:17.43\00:20:20.26 in your bulletin today. 00:20:20.29\00:20:22.10 Pull out the study guide, all right, friendly ushers, 00:20:22.13\00:20:23.92 you know the drill. 00:20:23.95\00:20:25.39 Hold them out, there are people who got in here 00:20:25.42\00:20:26.97 but didn't get a worship bulletin, 00:20:27.00\00:20:28.62 you're gonna want this study guide. 00:20:28.65\00:20:30.02 You are gonna brood over what we have shared today. 00:20:30.05\00:20:32.74 Make sure you get it, please. 00:20:32.77\00:20:34.19 Hold your hand up all the way into the balcony. 00:20:34.22\00:20:36.43 And those of you who are watching on television, 00:20:36.46\00:20:37.99 we are delighted to have you. 00:20:38.02\00:20:39.49 I want you to have the same study guide, 00:20:39.52\00:20:40.58 so go to our website, 00:20:40.61\00:20:41.64 let me put it on the screen for you. 00:20:41.67\00:20:43.21 www.pm-- 00:20:43.24\00:20:45.21 with a pioneer memorial, www.pmchurch.tv. 00:20:45.24\00:20:49.25 Now you're looking for a brand new mini series, 00:20:49.28\00:20:51.13 we just finished the truth about death, three parts. 00:20:51.16\00:20:54.09 Now we're moving into the truth about hell, three parts. 00:20:54.12\00:20:56.48 You're looking for truth about hell. 00:20:56.51\00:20:57.98 Today's teaching is entitled MonsterGod.com. 00:20:58.01\00:21:02.38 All right, you're looking for today's teaching 00:21:02.41\00:21:04.35 and then you will see the word study guide. 00:21:04.38\00:21:06.36 You click on there, you will have the same study guide. 00:21:06.39\00:21:08.30 By the way, don't you dare miss next week, 00:21:08.33\00:21:10.76 the Smoke of their Torment. 00:21:10.79\00:21:13.97 And the final piece, 00:21:14.00\00:21:16.17 My Journey to Purgatory and Back. 00:21:16.20\00:21:19.25 We share that, little threesome for this mini series. 00:21:19.28\00:21:21.75 Two critical reasons, 00:21:21.78\00:21:22.81 there it is in the study guide right at the top there. 00:21:22.84\00:21:24.37 Fill it in please. 00:21:24.40\00:21:25.43 "Two critical reasons we must confront the teaching of hell." 00:21:25.46\00:21:29.47 Write it down, one, number one, 00:21:29.50\00:21:31.31 "Whatever hell is, it is fearsome." 00:21:31.34\00:21:35.11 They are the words of Jesus, it's corroboration. 00:21:35.14\00:21:38.27 Number one, "Whatever hell is, it is fearsome." 00:21:38.30\00:21:40.86 And number two, "Whatever hell is, it is final." 00:21:40.89\00:21:45.33 Fearsome and final. 00:21:45.36\00:21:48.38 I share these two reasons simply because, 00:21:48.41\00:21:50.31 some of you who happened to share 00:21:50.34\00:21:52.18 my understanding of hell 00:21:52.21\00:21:54.63 have been lowed into lackadaisical, 00:21:54.66\00:21:57.42 whole hump, big deal attitude about hell. 00:21:57.45\00:22:00.02 I mean, come on, who cares. 00:22:00.05\00:22:03.12 But these words of Jesus grab such careless thinking 00:22:03.15\00:22:05.48 by the scruff of the neck and cry out, 00:22:05.51\00:22:07.16 you better think again my friend about hell. 00:22:07.19\00:22:11.35 Because whatever it is, it is fearsome and it is final. 00:22:11.38\00:22:16.61 It will not be anesthetized picnic 00:22:16.64\00:22:18.96 where you simply hit a switch and quietly check out. 00:22:18.99\00:22:22.10 just like suicide, I'm out of here. Jot it down, will you? 00:24:23.70\00:24:26.66 "Do not fear those who can 00:24:26.69\00:24:27.73 extinguish you life in this life. 00:24:27.76\00:24:31.13 But fear Him who can extinguish your life 00:24:31.16\00:24:33.42 for the life to come." 00:24:33.45\00:24:37.12 Gentle Jesus meek and mild, 00:24:37.15\00:24:39.24 not here, ladies and gentlemen, 00:24:39.27\00:24:40.98 not here, not one hell is on His mind 00:24:41.01\00:24:44.64 as it turns out is often the case in the Gospels. 00:24:44.67\00:24:49.95 According to Jesus, 00:24:49.98\00:24:53.33 please note these descriptors 00:24:53.36\00:24:57.96 that he declares are of hell itself. 00:24:57.99\00:25:01.22 Okay, you got your study guide right there, 00:25:01.25\00:25:02.28 you're gonna have to keep your pen moving. 00:25:02.31\00:25:03.54 We will do it off the screen, have a look. 00:25:03.57\00:25:04.72 Let's put the first verse up 00:25:04.75\00:25:05.95 that will be in Matthew Chapter 8. 00:25:05.98\00:25:07.10 These are all red letters, Jesus speaking. 00:25:07.13\00:25:09.70 Matthew 8:11, "And I say to you 00:25:09.73\00:25:12.00 that many will come from east and west, 00:25:12.03\00:25:14.03 and they will sit down with Abraham, 00:25:14.06\00:25:15.14 Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 00:25:15.17\00:25:17.34 But the sons of the kingdom 00:25:17.37\00:25:18.83 will be cast out into outer darkness. 00:25:18.86\00:25:21.99 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 00:25:22.02\00:25:25.29 And there--there are some repeat references 00:25:25.32\00:25:27.58 and you have them there in your study guide. 00:25:27.61\00:25:28.98 But would you jot those three words down. 00:25:29.01\00:25:30.77 We're hunting for the descriptors of hell 00:25:30.80\00:25:33.73 that Christ teaches, so jot down those three. 00:25:33.76\00:25:35.96 Darkness, then you're gonna jot down, 00:25:35.99\00:25:38.15 weeping and gnashing, all right. 00:25:38.18\00:25:43.48 Now he has more to say about hell, that isn't it. 00:25:43.51\00:25:45.94 Let's put another one up, 00:25:45.97\00:25:47.00 let's go to Matthew 13:41, Jesus, red letters again. 00:25:47.03\00:25:50.91 "The Son of Man will send out His angels, 00:25:50.94\00:25:53.17 and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, 00:25:53.20\00:25:56.23 and those who practice lawlessness, 00:25:56.26\00:25:58.11 and will cast them into the furnace of fire." 00:25:58.14\00:26:03.17 Last time it was darkness, this time it's fire. 00:26:03.20\00:26:06.20 "And there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 00:26:06.23\00:26:09.17 Now the kings-- New King James there 00:26:09.20\00:26:10.65 actually translates the identical Greek word 00:26:10.68\00:26:12.68 as wailing for what reason we do not know. 00:26:12.71\00:26:15.13 That's the thing about modern translations, 00:26:15.16\00:26:16.67 they just on a wimp. 00:26:16.70\00:26:17.90 It should be the same word of weeping. 00:26:17.93\00:26:19.57 So you have to say 00:26:19.60\00:26:20.67 two descriptors weeping and gnashing. 00:26:20.70\00:26:22.44 But this one adds fire. So what do we have now? 00:26:22.47\00:26:24.19 We have darkness and we have weeping 00:26:24.22\00:26:26.77 and gnashing and we have fire. 00:26:26.80\00:26:28.83 But it's not true, He will talk about hell again. 00:26:28.86\00:26:30.89 Let's go to Matthew Chapter 24. Red letters as well. 00:26:30.92\00:26:33.83 "The master of that servant will come on a day 00:26:33.86\00:26:36.12 when he is not looking for him 00:26:36.15\00:26:37.71 and at an hour that he is not aware of, 00:26:37.74\00:26:40.08 and will cut him in two." 00:26:40.11\00:26:43.01 Now it doesn't say the instrument for that cutting 00:26:43.04\00:26:45.83 but with your permission I would like to suggest 00:26:45.86\00:26:48.42 it's probably a sword. 00:26:48.45\00:26:51.39 So we put in brackets, with a sword, 00:26:51.42\00:26:53.08 "He will cut him into with a sword 00:26:53.11\00:26:55.07 and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites." 00:26:55.10\00:26:57.59 And here comes again, 00:26:57.62\00:26:58.84 "There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 00:26:58.87\00:27:02.80 Would you write that down, please? 00:27:02.83\00:27:04.27 Sword, weeping, gnashing, what else do we have? 00:27:04.30\00:27:07.13 We have darkness, weeping and gnashing, 00:27:07.16\00:27:08.48 we have fire, weeping and gnashing. 00:27:08.51\00:27:09.95 There they are according to Jesus 00:27:09.98\00:27:12.12 the final destruction of hell 00:27:12.15\00:27:13.83 will come by fire, darkness and sword 00:27:13.86\00:27:16.47 and those who experience 00:27:16.50\00:27:17.53 it will erupt in weeping and gnashing of teeth. 00:27:17.56\00:27:21.17 So which one of these metaphors is right? 00:27:21.20\00:27:23.28 Will hell be fire? Will hell be darkness? 00:27:23.31\00:27:25.59 Or hell be the sword? 00:27:25.62\00:27:29.18 Or could it be that intentionally, 00:27:29.21\00:27:32.13 intentionally mixing his metaphors for hell, 00:27:32.16\00:27:34.74 darkness, fire and sword, Jesus is making a point. 00:27:34.77\00:27:40.34 What if they could be shown 00:27:40.37\00:27:42.46 that Jesus Himself personally experienced 00:27:42.49\00:27:45.85 all five of these descriptors of hell. 00:27:45.88\00:27:50.80 Come with me to that awful Friday we now call good. 00:27:50.83\00:27:57.25 Go back to the Gospel of Matthew, 00:27:57.28\00:27:58.40 Matthew will take Matthew's crucifixion account. 00:27:58.43\00:28:00.72 Matthew Chapter 27, just go back a few pages. 00:28:00.75\00:28:04.25 We were in Luke, but now we go to Matthew. 00:28:04.28\00:28:06.56 Matthew Chapter 27, speed up in verse 33. 00:28:06.59\00:28:11.47 What page number is that? 00:28:11.50\00:28:12.53 That's page 671 got a pew Bible, follow along. 00:28:12.56\00:28:17.44 Let's go to the cross. 00:28:17.47\00:28:18.80 Matthew 27:33, "And when they had come 00:28:18.83\00:28:23.24 to a place called Golgotha, 00:28:23.27\00:28:25.35 that is to say, Place of a Skull." 00:28:25.38\00:28:27.11 Verse 34, "They gave Him, 00:28:27.14\00:28:29.05 Jesus, sour wine mingled with gall to drink. 00:28:29.08\00:28:32.70 But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. 00:28:32.73\00:28:36.22 Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, 00:28:36.25\00:28:38.78 casting lots, that it might be fulfilled 00:28:38.81\00:28:40.55 which was spoken by the prophet. 00:28:40.58\00:28:42.20 'They divided My garments among them, 00:28:42.23\00:28:43.66 and for My clothing they cast lots.'" 00:28:43.69\00:28:45.31 Verse 36, "And sitting down, they kept watch over Him there." 00:28:45.34\00:28:51.42 I like that, they kept watch over Him there. 00:28:51.45\00:28:53.82 Let you and I do the same for a few moments. 00:28:53.85\00:28:55.89 Now in the next verses that follow time will pass. 00:28:55.92\00:29:00.36 Only what's not in those next verses is Luke's account 00:29:00.39\00:29:03.39 of what happens during those next verses. 00:29:03.42\00:29:05.08 And that would be the thief turning to Jesus 00:29:05.11\00:29:07.14 and there's that conversation with the thief. 00:29:07.17\00:29:08.94 Nor is John's account of the crucifixion there 00:29:08.97\00:29:12.27 because John would describe Jesus in his agony 00:29:12.30\00:29:15.12 looking down upon his beloved mother. 00:29:15.15\00:29:16.96 And as a legacy giving her to young John boy. 00:29:16.99\00:29:21.28 So all of that transpires, now we're gonna pick it up 00:29:21.31\00:29:24.11 a bit later that Friday, verse 45, 00:29:24.14\00:29:26.58 "Now from the sixth hour." 00:29:26.61\00:29:29.63 Some of you will have very new translations, 00:29:29.66\00:29:31.96 it reads from noon. That's correct. 00:29:31.99\00:29:35.39 "Now from the sixth hour," that would be noon, 00:29:35.42\00:29:37.21 "Until the ninth hour," that would be 3 in the afternoon. 00:29:37.24\00:29:39.88 "There was--" what, ladies and gentlemen? 00:29:39.91\00:29:42.93 What's the word in all our translations? 00:29:42.96\00:29:45.11 There was what? "There was darkness." 00:29:45.14\00:29:47.52 Have you heard the word darkness before? 00:29:47.55\00:29:49.84 Today? Yes, you have. 00:29:49.87\00:29:52.78 "There was darkness over all the land." 00:29:52.81\00:29:58.00 It turns out, darkness 00:29:58.03\00:29:59.90 is a symbol of judgment in the Old Testament. 00:29:59.93\00:30:01.99 Will you jot that down please in your study guide? Darkness. 00:30:02.02\00:30:04.55 We're going to Calvary, 00:30:04.58\00:30:05.61 we're looking for the five descriptors. 00:30:05.64\00:30:07.19 Lo and behold, we bump into the first one. 00:30:07.22\00:30:09.03 There is darkness. What is darkness? 00:30:09.06\00:30:10.67 It is a symbol of judgment. 00:30:10.70\00:30:12.79 There are numerous Old Testament evidences for this, 00:30:12.82\00:30:14.86 but let's just put one up. 00:30:14.89\00:30:15.98 I put Isaiah Chapter 13 on the screen. 00:30:16.01\00:30:19.67 "Behold, the day of the Lord comes." 00:30:19.70\00:30:22.20 Now Old Testament scholars are very clear 00:30:22.23\00:30:23.73 whenever you read in the Old Testament, 00:30:23.76\00:30:25.19 the day of the Lord. 00:30:25.22\00:30:26.30 That's speaking about end time judgment, 00:30:26.33\00:30:27.63 that's hell, that's the end-- 00:30:27.66\00:30:28.92 and everything wrapped up together. 00:30:28.95\00:30:30.48 That's the big, that's the big one. 00:30:30.51\00:30:33.78 "Behold the day of the Lord comes, cruel, 00:30:33.81\00:30:36.23 with both wrath and fierce anger." 00:30:36.26\00:30:40.12 What happens in this day? 00:30:40.15\00:30:41.18 "To lay the land desolate, and He will destroy 00:30:41.21\00:30:44.81 its sinners from it." Keep reading. 00:30:44.84\00:30:47.35 "For the stars of heaven and their constellations 00:30:47.38\00:30:50.51 will not give their light." 00:30:50.54\00:30:52.37 Oh, oh, something is getting dark here. 00:30:52.40\00:30:54.45 Next, "The sun will be darkened in its going forth, 00:30:54.48\00:30:57.87 and the moon will not cause its light to shine. 00:30:57.90\00:31:00.57 I will punish the world for its evil, 00:31:00.60\00:31:02.75 and the wicked for their iniquity." 00:31:02.78\00:31:04.42 God speaking, "I will halt the arrogance of the proud, 00:31:04.45\00:31:06.86 and I will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible." 00:31:06.89\00:31:09.70 Case established, darkness is a sign of judgment. 00:31:09.73\00:31:15.67 Darkness is an aspect of hell, the final judgment. 00:31:15.70\00:31:21.78 All right. That isn't hard to understand. 00:36:39.76\00:36:44.97 He chooses not to force sinners 00:36:45.00\00:36:47.21 to love them and He gives them up 00:36:47.24\00:36:49.31 to the consequences of their own choices. 00:36:49.34\00:36:51.18 You can't be a mother, you can't be a father 00:36:51.21\00:36:54.18 and not know the meaning of that human reality. 00:36:54.21\00:36:57.70 I mean, you can say to your kids, look it, look it. 00:36:57.73\00:36:59.99 Son, don't you ever drink this. 00:37:00.02\00:37:02.75 You can say to your daughter, don't you ever do this. 00:37:02.78\00:37:07.88 You can say don't you ever smoke this. 00:37:07.91\00:37:11.13 But every parent knows there will come a time 00:37:11.16\00:37:13.59 when you can no longer make, isn't this true? 00:37:13.62\00:37:16.72 You can no longer make the choices for your children. 00:37:16.75\00:37:20.32 They are of age and they will have to choose 00:37:20.35\00:37:23.38 and they will have to, 00:37:23.41\00:37:25.34 how does that old law of the universe go? 00:37:25.37\00:37:27.41 Whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. 00:37:27.44\00:37:33.68 You can't stop the law. 00:37:33.71\00:37:35.50 You can beg them, you can plead with them 00:37:35.53\00:37:37.92 but they have the freedom, do they not? 00:37:37.95\00:37:39.68 To say, "I'm not too bad, dad. I'm gonna do this anyway." 00:37:39.71\00:37:43.27 And all a parent can do is with a broken heart stand by 00:37:43.30\00:37:48.22 and pray hard. I know. 00:37:48.25\00:37:51.62 But what startling in Romans is not only that 00:37:54.34\00:37:57.53 that it defines the wrath of God is God just let-- 00:37:57.56\00:38:00.22 God letting us reap the consequences of what we insist. 00:38:00.25\00:38:03.22 We got to be able to do. 00:38:03.25\00:38:04.92 What startling in Romans is that God 00:38:04.95\00:38:07.09 does the very same thing to Jesus on the cross. 00:38:07.12\00:38:10.90 Watch this. Romans 4:25. 00:38:10.93\00:38:13.63 "Jesus was--" he's speaking of Calvary right here. 00:38:13.66\00:38:16.02 "Jesus was delivered up," 00:38:16.05\00:38:17.86 there's that same Greek word, paradidomi. 00:38:17.89\00:38:19.77 "Jesus was delivered up because of our sins, our offenses, 00:38:19.80\00:38:24.06 and He was raised because of our justification." 00:38:24.09\00:38:27.60 Would you jot that down, please? 00:38:27.63\00:38:29.96 Paradidomi in Romans 4:25, God gave Jesus up. 00:38:29.99\00:38:35.86 I mean does that, does that blow your mind or what? 00:38:35.89\00:38:40.45 I mean, please what God does to sinners 00:38:40.48\00:38:42.98 He did for Jesus on the cross. 00:38:43.01\00:38:45.04 And by the way in case you didn't get it, 00:38:45.07\00:38:47.61 the author of Romans, Paul says, 00:38:47.64\00:38:49.01 let me give you one more proof of that. 00:38:49.04\00:38:50.53 Romans Chapter 8, let's put that one on. 00:38:50.56\00:38:52.47 Romans 8:32, 00:38:52.50\00:38:55.56 "He who did not spare His own Son, 00:38:55.59\00:38:58.08 but delivered Him up." 00:38:58.11\00:39:00.06 There it is again that Greek word, paradidomi. 00:39:00.09\00:39:02.47 "But delivered Him up for us, how shall He not with Him, 00:39:02.50\00:39:06.75 Christ, also freely give us all things?" 00:39:06.78\00:39:12.29 Romans 1, God gives, 00:39:12.32\00:39:14.19 gives up sinners to their own choices. 00:39:14.22\00:39:16.03 Romans 2, God gives up Jesus to the consequences of sin. 00:39:16.06\00:39:19.65 Romans 4, rather Romans 8, 00:39:19.68\00:39:22.66 God gave up, jot it down, God gave up His Son. 00:39:22.69\00:39:27.88 What God does to sinners He did to Jesus on the cross. 00:39:27.91\00:39:32.83 He let Him reap the dark and wretched consequences of sin. 00:39:32.86\00:39:37.21 i.e., the wrath of God, this divine let Him go. 00:39:37.24\00:39:41.51 God lets Christ experience the full force of that. 00:39:41.54\00:39:45.06 Now that you're own, now that you are on your own 00:39:45.09\00:39:48.44 severance between the two of them. 00:39:48.47\00:39:51.53 Are you getting this? 00:39:56.30\00:39:58.30 You understand that when the wrath of God 00:39:58.33\00:40:01.84 is displayed to sinners it means I'll let you go, 00:40:01.87\00:40:06.60 I'll let you reap the consequences of your choice. 00:40:06.63\00:40:11.71 Do you understand that when the wrath, 00:40:11.74\00:40:13.05 that same wrath of God is displayed to Jesus, 00:40:13.08\00:40:16.84 it's the same, I'll let you go, you have become sinner. 00:40:16.87\00:40:20.59 I'll let you go and you reap the consequences. 00:40:20.62\00:40:24.70 Markus Barth, the New Testament scholar 00:40:24.73\00:40:26.91 graphically describes the severance 00:40:26.94\00:40:29.70 that took place at Calvary. 00:40:29.73\00:40:31.19 You see the words there in your study guide. 00:40:31.22\00:40:32.87 "Here at the cross God stands against God, 00:40:32.90\00:40:37.02 the Father against the Son, 00:40:37.05\00:40:39.63 the benevolent, promising God addressed in prayers, 00:40:39.66\00:40:42.41 against what God makes and allows 00:40:42.44\00:40:44.58 in the world of facts and events. 00:40:44.61\00:40:46.23 The earth trembles. The sun fades away. 00:40:46.26\00:40:49.38 This is the horror of the judgment, God is silent. 00:40:49.41\00:40:52.47 An eclipse of the living God, a victory of death over life, 00:40:52.50\00:40:55.69 the end of all religions, all law and justice, 00:40:55.72\00:40:58.14 all morality-- it is this that comes in 00:40:58.17\00:41:00.96 at 3:00 p.m. on Good Friday. 00:41:00.99\00:41:03.61 A hell, deeper and hotter 00:41:03.64\00:41:05.79 than anything one might imagine has opened its maw, 00:41:05.82\00:41:09.12 its jaws, devoured God's Son, and become all-victorious." 00:41:09.15\00:41:16.58 In a way we shall never fully understand 00:41:16.61\00:41:22.19 Christ drank the bitter heart crushing drags, 00:41:22.22\00:41:29.40 the cup of human sin. 00:41:29.43\00:41:31.65 Drank it to the last drop. 00:41:31.68\00:41:37.87 He entered into the very hill that he warned us, 00:41:37.90\00:41:41.63 he waved us away from. 00:41:41.66\00:41:43.75 You don't want to go here. 00:41:43.78\00:41:45.76 He enters that very hill. 00:41:45.79\00:41:49.34 He saved us, unless Jesus did save me, 00:41:49.37\00:41:50.94 how can He reap the consequences of his pure and moral life? 00:41:50.97\00:41:55.49 Ah, my friend, that is precisely the good news of the gospel. 00:41:55.52\00:41:58.84 Let's put it up on the screen, everybody knows Isaiah 53. 00:41:58.87\00:42:05.49 "Surely He has borne our griefs 00:42:05.52\00:42:08.22 and carried our sorrows," described in Calvary. 00:42:08.25\00:42:11.26 "Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 00:42:11.29\00:42:14.53 But He was wounded for our transgressions, 00:42:14.56\00:42:17.05 He was bruised for our iniquities. 00:42:17.08\00:42:19.69 The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, 00:42:19.72\00:42:21.51 and by His stripes we are healed." 00:42:21.54\00:42:23.53 Now notice, "All we like sheep have gone astray, 00:42:23.56\00:42:26.07 we have turned, every one, to his own way. 00:42:26.10\00:42:27.93 And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity," 00:42:27.96\00:42:32.08 write it down, please. 00:42:32.11\00:42:33.14 "The iniquity of the entire human race." 00:42:33.17\00:42:39.72 I give you up now. 00:42:39.75\00:42:41.88 You take the consequences and bearing it all. 00:42:41.91\00:42:45.54 Every sin in my life, 00:42:45.57\00:42:48.85 every sin in your life, He bears it. 00:42:48.88\00:42:52.31 The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all, 00:42:52.34\00:42:53.87 is that only an Old Testament teaching, 00:42:53.90\00:42:55.35 note, keep your pen moving. 00:42:55.38\00:42:56.48 2 Corinthians 5:21, "For He," the father, "made Him," Christ, 00:42:56.51\00:43:01.33 "who knew no sin to be sin for us, 00:43:01.36\00:43:05.04 that we might become 00:43:05.07\00:43:06.84 the righteousness of God in Him." 00:43:06.87\00:43:09.73 Would you jot that down? He made Him to be sin for us. 00:43:09.76\00:43:15.60 Ladies and gentlemen, the mysterious truth of Calvary 00:43:15.63\00:43:18.42 is that Jesus became our sin in order to bear our penalty. 00:43:18.45\00:43:24.15 And as a consequence He died the death that was ours. 00:43:24.18\00:43:27.74 Not this momentary death that comes from human vicissitude, 00:43:27.77\00:43:30.69 you know, I'm just weak, 00:43:30.72\00:43:31.77 I got that, I have the disease, 00:43:31.80\00:43:33.52 I was hit by a car, not that death. 00:43:33.55\00:43:36.33 But the eternal death of human rebellion and sin. 00:43:36.36\00:43:40.03 In fact say it out loudly you know this one. 00:43:40.06\00:43:41.73 Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, 00:43:41.76\00:43:46.83 but the gift of God is eternal life 00:43:46.86\00:43:50.21 through Jesus Christ our Lord." 00:43:50.24\00:43:52.65 The gift is eternal life, and what is the wage? 00:43:52.68\00:43:55.13 The very antithesis of eternal life, 00:43:55.16\00:43:57.06 can't be just a momentary death, 00:43:57.09\00:43:59.14 it has to be an eternal death. 00:43:59.17\00:44:00.82 The very opposite, the wages and the gift are contrasted. 00:44:00.85\00:44:05.90 Revelation calls this eternal death, 00:44:05.93\00:44:08.61 the second death, you know why? 00:44:08.64\00:44:11.63 Because it's the one death 00:44:11.66\00:44:13.71 from which you cannot ever be awakened again. 00:44:13.74\00:44:19.20 Second death. 00:44:19.23\00:44:21.69 It's the death that hell consummates. 00:44:21.72\00:44:26.17 Jesus taught hell, 00:44:26.20\00:44:27.64 He said there will be five descriptors of hell. 00:44:27.67\00:44:30.13 The darkness and sword of the judgment, 00:44:30.16\00:44:32.68 the weeping and gnashing of anguish 00:44:32.71\00:44:34.18 and the fire of divine wrath 00:44:34.21\00:44:36.10 and on Calvary, all five descriptors. 00:44:36.13\00:44:43.54 Christ Himself can do it. 00:44:43.57\00:44:46.47 There is no clear portrayal 00:44:46.50\00:44:48.49 in all of Holy Scripture of hell than the cross. 00:44:48.52\00:44:55.33 Whereon Jesus did not cry out, 00:44:55.36\00:44:56.98 "My God, My God, Why are You killing Me?" 00:44:57.01\00:45:00.88 He didn't cry out, "My God, why are You burning Me?" 00:45:00.91\00:45:04.80 Cry on Calvary is unmistakable. 00:45:04.83\00:45:06.75 "My God, My God, why have You cut me off? 00:45:06.78\00:45:10.50 Why have You forsaken me?" 00:45:10.53\00:45:12.07 Dreadfully somber and sobering truth of hell 00:45:16.37\00:45:20.25 is that it is the final and fearsome severance 00:45:20.28\00:45:25.47 from the one being in the universe 00:45:25.50\00:45:27.08 who is the life support of all creation. 00:45:27.11\00:45:33.31 Our last text, Christ descended into hell 00:45:33.34\00:45:35.74 into that awful darkness for us, 00:45:35.77\00:45:37.16 look at this, our final text. 00:45:37.19\00:45:38.44 Hebrew 2:9, "But we see Jesus, 00:45:38.47\00:45:42.83 who was made a little lower than the angels, 00:45:42.86\00:45:44.72 for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, 00:45:44.75\00:45:48.61 that He, by the grace of God," 00:45:48.64\00:45:52.26 jot this down. 00:45:52.29\00:45:53.32 "That He, by the grace of God, 00:45:53.35\00:45:54.99 might taste death for everyone." 00:45:55.02\00:46:01.13 All of us will taste our own first death 00:46:01.16\00:46:04.20 whether it's premature or comes with old age, we will all die. 00:46:04.23\00:46:08.28 We will taste that death ourselves. 00:46:08.31\00:46:11.16 But there is a second death 00:46:11.19\00:46:12.79 that only one being in the universe 00:46:12.82\00:46:14.84 thus far has tasted and He did so, 00:46:14.87\00:46:17.18 so that none of us would ever, ever, ever 00:46:17.21\00:46:20.83 have to taste that death for ourselves. 00:46:20.86\00:46:26.99 Listen to Desire of Ages, 00:46:27.02\00:46:29.30 moving depiction of the second death 00:46:29.33\00:46:33.48 that Christ experienced it at Calvary, 00:46:33.51\00:46:35.36 that we have a new study guide, I put it on the screen. 00:46:35.39\00:46:38.88 Friday afternoon, 00:46:38.91\00:46:40.01 "But now with the terrible weight of guilt He bears, 00:46:40.04\00:46:44.20 He cannot see the Father's reconciling face. 00:46:44.23\00:46:47.96 The withdrawal of the divine countenance 00:46:47.99\00:46:49.90 from the Savior in this hour of supreme anguish 00:46:49.93\00:46:54.21 pierced His heart with a sorrow 00:46:54.24\00:46:56.65 that can never be fully understood by man. 00:46:56.68\00:47:01.60 the Savior could not see through the portals of the tomb. 00:47:01.63\00:47:04.24 Hope did not present to Him 00:47:04.27\00:47:05.41 His coming forth from the grave a conqueror, 00:47:05.44\00:47:07.32 or tell Him of the Father's acceptance of the sacrifice. 00:47:07.35\00:47:10.48 He feared sin was so offensive to God 00:47:10.51\00:47:13.49 that Their separation was to be eternal." 00:47:13.52\00:47:15.49 Second death, we will never be together again. 00:47:15.52\00:47:19.54 "Christ felt--" read on, "Christ felt the anguish--" 00:47:19.57\00:47:23.43 this would be hell, wouldn't it? 00:47:23.46\00:47:24.96 "Christ felt the anguish which the sinner will feel 00:47:24.99\00:47:27.77 when mercy shall no longer plead for the guilty race. 00:47:27.80\00:47:32.25 It was the sense of sin, bringing the Father's wrath," 00:47:32.28\00:47:35.84 there it is again. 00:47:35.87\00:47:36.96 "It was the sense of sin, 00:47:36.99\00:47:38.02 bringing the Father's wrath upon Him 00:47:38.05\00:47:39.34 as man's substitute that made the cup He drank so bitter, 00:47:39.37\00:47:44.98 and broke the heart of the Son of God." 00:47:45.01\00:47:52.79 And you're saying, Dwight, there's no way. 00:47:52.82\00:47:54.95 There's no way He died the second death, 00:47:54.98\00:47:57.11 He came up on Sunday. 00:47:57.14\00:48:01.58 I've told a story over and over again. 00:48:01.61\00:48:08.10 I may repeat it once more. 00:48:08.13\00:48:12.05 Story about a little boy who was deathly ill. 00:48:12.08\00:48:16.74 Doctors tried everything, they can't, 00:48:16.77\00:48:18.87 they can't reverse impending death that looks like. 00:48:18.90\00:48:24.09 There's a rare genetic disorder, 00:48:24.12\00:48:26.78 they need somebody who is the perfect genetic match. 00:48:26.81\00:48:30.62 So they try, obviously, they test the mother first 00:48:30.65\00:48:32.75 and then they test the father. 00:48:32.78\00:48:34.84 Nobody in their family test that matched 00:48:34.87\00:48:38.04 expect the boy's younger sister. 00:48:38.07\00:48:42.72 Of course the doctors are delighted 00:48:42.75\00:48:44.86 and they gather with the family around a little girl 00:48:44.89\00:48:46.74 and they explain to her that she has, 00:48:46.77\00:48:51.49 she has the perfect match that can save her brother's life. 00:48:51.52\00:48:56.74 Would you be willing, honey 00:48:56.77\00:48:58.89 to give your blood for your brother? 00:48:58.92\00:49:03.75 The little girl turns her pensive face away, 00:49:03.78\00:49:06.36 she's deep in thought, finally decision is made. 00:49:06.39\00:49:09.70 She looks back into the downturn face, 00:49:09.73\00:49:12.62 she bounces those curls and she says, she would. 00:49:12.65\00:49:18.07 So they hurry her into the laboratory, 00:49:18.10\00:49:19.65 you've given blood, you know what it is like. 00:49:19.68\00:49:21.35 And that little plastic bag begins to fill with the life 00:49:21.38\00:49:26.04 giving portion to save her older brother's life. 00:49:26.07\00:49:31.33 When it was all over, 00:49:31.36\00:49:35.31 she was leaving the laboratory 00:49:35.34\00:49:36.87 she looked up into her father's face. 00:49:36.90\00:49:39.87 And she said, "Daddy, when will I die now?" 00:49:39.90\00:49:45.20 He kind of chuckled 00:49:45.23\00:49:48.59 when all of a sudden it hit him like a bolt of lightening. 00:49:48.62\00:49:52.95 His little girl had just gone 00:49:52.98\00:49:56.68 through the procedure of giving her blood 00:49:56.71\00:49:59.29 believing that in the gift of that blood. 00:49:59.32\00:50:05.42 She would die. 00:50:05.45\00:50:08.16 Now academicians, I want to ask you a question. 00:50:08.19\00:50:12.29 Did that little girl die for her brother? 00:50:12.32\00:50:18.34 Yes or no? Huh? 00:50:18.37\00:50:21.14 Oh, you bet she did. She died for him, right here. 00:50:21.17\00:50:25.48 Died that death, I'll give my life for him. 00:50:25.51\00:50:29.78 Did Jesus die the second death? 00:50:29.81\00:50:35.19 Oh, yes, He did. Right here. 00:50:35.22\00:50:38.75 And it broke His heart. 00:50:38.78\00:50:42.77 He died the second death of hell 00:50:42.80\00:50:48.09 for you and me. 00:50:48.12\00:50:51.22 May I be cantor with you, I cannot comprehend it. 00:50:51.25\00:50:56.11 I cannot grasp how anyone would love me so much 00:50:56.14\00:51:01.05 that he would be willing to go to hell for me. 00:51:01.08\00:51:08.15 That he would be willing 00:51:08.18\00:51:10.18 on that cross to be separated 00:51:10.21\00:51:12.17 from the Father forever and ever 00:51:12.20\00:51:15.00 so that I could live with the same Father 00:51:15.03\00:51:17.56 forever and ever. 00:51:17.59\00:51:19.83 I read about it. I sing about it. 00:51:19.86\00:51:24.44 But I'm being honest with you, 00:51:24.47\00:51:26.15 I for the life of me cannot comprehend that kind of love. 00:51:26.18\00:51:33.21 Nobody has ever loved me 00:51:33.24\00:51:38.26 that much before. 00:51:38.29\00:51:43.09 There's only one thing I know what, 00:51:43.12\00:51:44.66 I know how to do, only one. 00:51:44.69\00:51:49.71 That is I bow with my face to the ground 00:51:49.74\00:51:57.14 and I worship Him who died for me. 00:51:57.17\00:52:04.71 "O Sacred Head, now wounded 00:52:04.74\00:52:08.28 with grief and shame weighed down. 00:52:08.31\00:52:12.24 Now scornfully surrounded with thorns, Thine only crown. 00:52:12.27\00:52:16.93 O sacred Head, what glory, what bliss till now was Thine! 00:52:16.96\00:52:20.75 Yet, though despised and gory, I joy to call Thee mine. 00:52:20.78\00:52:26.06 What language shall I borrow to thank Thee, dearest Friend. 00:52:26.09\00:52:29.92 For this Thy dying sorrow, 00:52:29.95\00:52:32.06 Thy pity without end? 00:52:32.09\00:52:34.02 O make me Thine forever, 00:52:34.05\00:52:36.86 and should I fainting be. 00:52:36.89\00:52:40.09 Lord, let me never, never 00:52:40.12\00:52:44.36 outlive my love to Thee." 00:52:44.39\00:52:49.65 O Sacred Head, now wounded 00:53:28.60\00:53:34.99 With grief and shame weighed down 00:53:35.02\00:53:41.03 Now scornfully surrounded 00:53:41.06\00:53:47.62 With thorns, Thine only crown 00:53:47.65\00:53:53.77 O sacred Head, what glory, 00:53:53.80\00:54:00.94 what bliss till now was Thine 00:54:00.97\00:54:07.63 Yet, though despised and gory 00:54:07.66\00:54:14.85 I joy to call Thee mine. 00:54:14.88\00:54:19.75 What Thou, my Lord hast suffered 00:54:24.15\00:54:30.30 Was all for sinners' gain 00:54:30.33\00:54:36.72 Mine, mine was the transgression 00:54:36.75\00:54:43.28 But Thine the deadly pain 00:54:43.31\00:54:50.11 Lo, here I fall, my Savior 00:54:50.14\00:54:57.30 'Tis I deserve thy place 00:54:57.33\00:55:04.44 Look on me with thy favor 00:55:04.47\00:55:11.31 Vouchafe to me Thy grace. 00:55:11.34\00:55:17.20 What language shall I borrow? 00:55:21.03\00:55:27.86 To thank Thee, dearest Friend 00:55:27.89\00:55:34.48 For this Thy dying sorrow 00:55:34.51\00:55:41.19 Thy pity without end? 00:55:41.22\00:55:47.97 O make me Thine forever 00:55:48.00\00:55:54.93 And should I fainting be 00:55:54.96\00:56:02.24 Lord, let me never, never 00:56:02.27\00:56:09.50 outlive my love to Thee. 00:56:09.53\00:56:15.18 And now the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ 00:56:22.58\00:56:26.42 and the love of God 00:56:26.45\00:56:28.96 and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
